First time visiting and we will definitely be coming again! Having a nut allergy makes it really hard and often causes stress when it comes to eating out. On being seated, I made the lovely waitress aware of my allergies, immediately she checked in the kitchen and came back to me with the allergy advice. Nothing was problem! 100% reccomend

Lovely pub, unfortunately I couldn't try their ales as I was driving but it's a CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub so the beer should be good. The food was absolutely delicious, we both had the Coldwell Chicken, great service too, definitely stop here again when we're travelling north.

Lovely pub, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, the only negative thing I would say is the bar staff definitely need to go on a training course on how to pull Guinness! being a huge Guinness fan and knowing there is an art to keeping and pulling Guinness, it is really important for Guinness lovers to want coming back for more, on 2 occasions by 2 different bar men I caught them trying to pull a pint all in one go 😱 which makes the Guinness go flat, it should have a creamy head that sticks to the glass the whole way down as you drink it, so please educate yourself on this and it will definitely be 5 stars from me.

Can't fault the food or staff. Rang and booked as wanted a 'pod'. Fabulous food, I had the tapas which is three little dishes of your choice but all the food looked lovely. Nice place and the 2 waitresses on duty were really nice however the food was a bit of a let down, if you don't want burgers there was not a lot of choice. 3 out of 4 had fish and chips, a bit pricy compared to other places, a decent piece of fish but chips were very very salty, with 2 people taking medication for high blood pressure this was not good.

I like this pub staff are very friendly and welcoming as pubs should be. The Manager has tried his best to make this pub a place to enjoy a pint or even a good meal. Outside are heated Pods with lights for those timid of catching strange Man made illnesses from far away lands. Everards beers are always a good choice. Inside is a eating area, food is also served in the bar and spaceship like outside Pods. The Manager is chatty, friendly, and welcoming. Parking is available onstreet and in the limited car park. We had two meals large white wine pint of Tiger and two deserts £49. So not Wetherspoons prices but Low to average eating out prices. To save don't spoil yourselves on deserts! Recommended.

Amazing food, exceptional service. We called for a table booking today 12/09/21 and Lucy managed to get us a last minute table for 2. She was very polite and patient on the phone when I asked if my gluten free dietary requirement could be met. Lucy checked details with the chef and reassured me of what was suitable for me to eat and other questions I had. When we arrived we were allocated a table and the services was very good. All waiting staff that approached us were courtiess and the food that arrived was presented very well. We did not expect this for a pub restaurant and more importantly the food was amazing and every bit of it was to our taste so complements to the chefs. We met Lucy who I spoke to on the phone to make the booking and she was lovely and answered a few more questions I had. Even the gravey was gluten free... What a bonus!!! Thank you to the the entire team. See you again soon.

Food is gorgeous, even my fussy 5 year old cleared his plate which is a first. I obviously need to up my cooking game haha. One of the staff members, Becks (I'm sure that was her name) was amazing to our kids that wouldn't stop talking to her, gave them all the time in the world, even though she was blatantly rushed off her feet. 100% recommended and will be returning.

Our favourite pub. There is no pub in the world as child-friendly as The Stamford. The staff is very efficient, super friendly, knowledgeable and it's obvious that everyone enjoy working there. They always go the extra mile. The pub is well looked after and super cosy. The food is fantastic value for money. Never yet had a meal there that we didnt enjoy. Definitely worth a visit :)

Food was OK, service was mediocre, waitresses were stood around chatting to one another or dancing most of the time where ourselves and other customers had to grab there attention for another round of drinks, deserts or the bill. Think it's a bit overpriced for what your receiving. But all in all was an OK experience.

Booked online, wasn't as easy as it could have been as it wouldnt allow us to book the family area, but when we arrived the staff were able to seat us there with no problem which was good. All staff were courteous and polite, all wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines. Nice park for the children, however a huge 'no no' for me is that it didnt have a gate, therefore kids could easily run out and get to a busy road (obviously I know its parents responsibility, however I personally believe parks should have gates). The menu situation is a little odd, depending on where you sit you access a different menu, we had the choice of pizzas and dirty chips. £8 for a kids meal is a little too expensive. We were told upon arrival that they were low on staff but our order was taken promptly and food was served quickly. The pizzas were fantastic, really tasty and covered in toppings. The dirty fries were really tasty too. I would definitely return.

Great place for a evening meal out, excellant food and polite, attentive staff. We booked a cosy outside 'Pod' and although the menu was a little limited there was a good options for vegetarians, the food was well presented and tasted excellant. All the staff were friendly but we'd like to give a special mention for our waitress for the night; Vanessa who literally couldn't do enough to meet our needs, was so courteous, really charming and made us feel right at home, she is a massive credit to your business.

Booked a group of us for my sister's 30th birthday and this restaurant was so accommodating. The weather held up and we sat out on the patio. Food was lovely, drinks were flowing and the staff were excellent. We felt to welcomed and looked after. Vanessa, our waitress was fantastic, so understanding and wanting to make it enjoyable experience within her means. Visited as part of a large walking group and they let us pre-order the food, plus use the facilities before our walk. When we came back our food quickly arrived and all together, which is so much better. Overall opinion was that the food was very good, tasty and hot. Absolutely positively great venue, come here every Thursday for the open Mic. A wide range of drinks pick your poison 😉. Food is hot, which is always Good, and they're very big on peppers; which is great if your into that sort of thing. Staff are the one of the best parts, everyone is friendly but professional. They'll make good recommendations if you wanna try something different. Id recommend it, there's not too many good family pubs around anymore. But the Stamford Arms? Oh yeah!

Had Sunday lunch here. If you like a nice cosy quiet atmosphere don't go to the Stamford Arms as it's quite a noisy place, but It's a family pub so I guess that's to be expected. The food was good overall, although my Sunday roast arrived cold so I sent it back to be reheated. We were also given soup spoons to eat our desserts. The staff were helpful and courteous though and I think we would go back, but maybe at a quieter time...!

My brother's local. So local in fact that we've christened it 'The Winchester' 😁. Have been going there for some years now since the renovation and it's always been really good or better. Its usually busy and the atmosphere, food, beer and service has always been really good. Not always perfect but if anything does go a bit 'Pete Tong' they will ALWAYS sort it which, for me, is the real test of good customer service. Please keep it up and thanks for the continued quality of everything.

A nice large gastro pub with interesting decor but very average food. We ordered the Spanish chicken (watery sauce) and mest feast pizza (dough not quite cooked, soggy on bottom in places and tomato base was quite raw tasting, almost like tomato puree). Was reasonably priced. Staff were very attentive and corrected a bill mistake without quibble.

Cousin had arranged a get together for nieces 1st birthday. Staff were great despite the hoards of kids running around. Staff were pleasant and always seemed on it when it came to clearing away empties. Little park area was great for the kids to run around in. Only area of improvement would be some sort of gate to stop them running out into the car park.
