We were given a Virgin voucher for this place for a food and wine tasting experience. We took it as a lunch and really enjoyed everything about it. Delicious cheese, meats and goodies platter accompanied by tasters of super wines. A walk round Leicester in the afternoon to let it all settle! Absolutely great.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The atmosphere is great and the starters were delicious! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I really didn't like the pizza (the cheese and bread base didn't seem right). My friends who didn't get pizza were very happy though! I would definitely go here again...just wouldn't order the pizza 😊

"TRIP TO SICILY" WINE TASTING EXPERIENCE" amazing. We enjoyed this experience so much, Charles and his staff were very attentive and knowledgeable, Have already recommended to family friends. We will definitely be returning.

My partner and I had an afternoon tea here which included a bottle of prosecco. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Manager Alex gave a warm friendly welcome and was attentive throughout our visit. The food was delicious and well presented. Would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely return. We had a fabulous afternoon. All the staff were great especially John who looked after us so well. He poured our drinks and fetch us anything we needed.. overall afternoon tea was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and will definitely return again soon.. Can thoroughly recommend afternoon tea however all the other food that came out looked amazing

I'd booked an afternoon tea with my mum. The team were welcoming and we were seated promptly. A fantastic selection of cakes and sandwiches with an Italoan twist. Will definitely go back.

Had an amazing Italian afternoon tea today, with very attentive service from Fatima and Keegan. Highly recommended as good balance of savoury versus sweet, compared to usual afternoon tea. We will definitely be back.

Really great pizza... Didn't get a chance to try the wine as we were in for a quick lunch with the kids. But the atmosphere was lovely and we'll definitely be back (sans kids!) for some wine tasting!

I have been going to leicester Veeno for the past year and I've always been treated very well by everyone. The staff is genuinely polite and nice everything is inviting and clean, the workflow is precise and at the same time you can feel their passion, it only shows the managers work behind the courtins, even during busy times! Mr. Ashley shows support and professionalism which can be hard in hospitality. 100% will come back. Muchas Gracias Veeno Leicester .

Informal, relaxed with excellent food and wine. Popped in here to try the bruschetta and ended up having a pleasant couple of hours. Extremely relaxed atmosphere and the Pinot Grigio wine was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Could have stayed in here all day but unfortunately had other commitments ! The goats cheese and fig jam bruschetta was fantastic, and really enjoyed the one with sun-dried tomatoes and pesto as well. Manager was extremely friendly and professional, and all staff were pleasant. Didn’t feel rushed here at all. Would recommend for an afternoon drink and some delicious Italian snacks.

Awesome place. Great food, great wine, what more could you want?! The staff are super-friendly and really knowledgeable too. We had the mixed cheeses to start and then a tagliatelle ragu and gnocchi. All we’re delicious. Would highly recommend the Nero d’avola - really lovely. Have been looking for a proper, quality Italian in Leicester for a while and we’ve found it! 👍🏽

First visit to Veeno last night. The food was fantastic. As good as it gets outside Italy. Online booking worked really well and they followed the Covid rules as well as they could for a tight place. The only downside was the echo level upstairs with groups that weren't even being too loud. Maybe some soft furnishings needed. However, definitely worth 5 stars and a visit.

OMG pizza was fantastic and taste exactly like in Italy!! Finally I can have aperitivo and tagliere. Also great customer service. The only thing I didn't like it is I ordered bottle of still water (500ml) and they gave me sparkling water and when I asked them to change it they gave me small bottle (250ml) but paid £2.50 for it same as 500ml. I think is too much for small bottle even if the waitress said they forgot to change the pricelist.

We tried Veeno for the first time in Nottingham, few days after I moved from Italy, about 3 years ago. I was missing my country, and I felt like home there. Food, Wine... it was just an Italian experience for English people, but it was full of lovely memory for me. Even though it's quite expensive, I will always recommend this place. The quality of their products cannot be compared with anyone, no matter if it's food or drinks. Moreover, you'll always find an Italian working there (we did find one here as well obviousy). It always feels like home.

Agree with Amy and Peter. Sitting in veeno right now. Food coming out a different times. Olives, a starter, came long after my salad etc. Still waiting for my mains as had to get it reheated/redone. Our party is about to leave. So, dissapointed. Food taste great, though... when it arrives. I think they are under staffed or something. Updayte: Ok, it finally arrived. And it was lovely and they were apologetic. So thank you.

It's a good place to sit and enjoy some wine, especially if the weather is nice and you want to sit outside. Inside is a little cramped when busy. I wasn't very impressed with the food so wouldn't recommend eating there.

A great place for a glass of wine (obviously) and beer, we sat in a nice snug area surround by wine...........torture!, the staff were very knowledgeable and we had some great tasting wines with cheeses which was fun, we have been to this place a few times now and will keep returning. Went to the opening of this little taste of Italy here in Leicester. Aperitivo is now an after work option in the centre of town. Authentic Italian salamis, cheese and bruschetta to nibble while sipping fantastic Italian wine, which is produced by the owners who hail from Sicily. Next door to Gelato Village two great stops on your way home.
