Good selection of fresh cooked vegetables, and the home made steak pie was very yummy. Desserts are good as well. Everything is reasonably priced.

a. L.Visited as a group, we were welcomed and had no problem finding somewhere for our party to sit. It is basic, the choice of wine was red or white however they both tasted OK for the price. We had an enjoyable evening, and would return.

This pub was taken over by new people in March, and it was packed!!
The staff all looked very smart in pub uniforms, the drinks were served extremely quickly, and the food was excellent. Only downside was that ours was a little slow to arrive but when I queried this the friendly landlady explained that all food was individually cooked to order from fresh ingredients, everything is cooked on the premises with none of that "freezer to table in 10 minutes" stuff. My other half later sheepishly admitted he had been told there would be a 15 minute wait when he ordered the food but he forgot to tell me!.
I had roast beef and all the trimmings, he had braising steak with mash veg and onions-proper grub he says! There is a 2-for £10 menu, pensioners discount meals, and also specials boards. My other half was delighted to discover they served Speckled hen real ale (yuk!) but he loves his real beers!
They have a sports bar too with big screen and Sky TV for football season, and have regular live music, singers, bands, disco and karaoke.
All in all a very nice meal, and chatty and friendly staff.

G. A.We found this place by accident and it actually turned out to be one of the best pubs we've been to since moving to Lincoln.
The food was really good; exceeded my expections of "pub grub". The portions are massive and my husband reckons his burger was the best he's had in England thus far.
They played some great old-school jams which really added to the atmosphere.
Also, I really appreciated how clean the WC was. They even had ladies' body spray in the washroom to freshen up, which I thought that was a lovely touch.
The only negative thing I have to say (and why I gave 4 stars) is that they had an underwhelming selection of softdrinks, but I guess that one's on me for ordering a Pepsi at a pub 😂

Popped into The Fox and Hounds in North Hykeham today for a quick bite and was seriously impressed. I went for the Lancaster Bomber 617 hot dog — loaded with spicy chilli, jalapeños, and melted cheese — and it absolutely hit the spot. Just the right level of heat, full of flavour, and served piping hot. At £11.50, it was a solid portion and great value. Washed it down with a Diet Coke and left very happy. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and quick service made it a perfect lunchtime stop. Will definitely be back!

G. H.I come here annually for an event and am never let down by this pub. It’s spacious, with a games area including a pool table and a darts board. Food and drink is reasonably priced, and the bar staff are very friendly and accommodating. Stays open til around 1am on Fridays and Saturdays if it’s busy enough.
