I had a beautiful meal here, cooked to perfection. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the guilty pleasure of eating my dessert and then realising afterwards I forgot to take a photo. It was delicious. A warm chocolate brownie so soft , clotted ice cream and a drizzling of chocolate sauce

Building was nice, as nice atmosphere inside. Overall it was OK,, pie was nice, gravy was like jelly, veg was pint warm. The lady serving us was good at her job. It is not somewhere I would rush back to.

We haven't been in for a while because the food went down hill. However, I have to say how very pleasantly surprised I was at how good the food was, and the amazing service. To put the icing on the cake, they have a new IPA called Ice Breaker, which is awesome. We had a fantastic evening, looked after very attentively by the lively Lynn, who guided by wife towards a Vegan burger that was out of this world.

After many years called in to have a coffee but decided on lunch instead. A good choice , the meals were very good with a salad dressing that has to be praised. The main parts of our meals were served quickly and tasted delicious. Service was polite and friendly and the toilets looked as if they had been finished yesterday, so clean and with quality soap and decent hand driers. This Pub/Restaurant is a credit to the manager and staff. Greene King should be proud of them.

Booking in to dine, very easy over the phone. Lunch - every option sounded great... then, when we were served everything looked and turned out to be delicious. Staff were great as usual, but a special sparkle on Wednesday from Evelyn who was a great hit with my kids - well done!!

Me and my father came here today and it was one of the best restaurants/pubs I've ever been in. My father had the mixed grill, which he finished joyfully. And I had their cheeseburger, which was amazing. The service was amazing, the food came in a reasonable time frame and we were served and cared for by a lovely lady called Emma. Go here if you're in the area!

Haven't been to this pub for a few years. On this occasion I was very pleasantly surprised with the tasty menu and prices. I had the seafood platter which was lovely. Only critique was the new potatoes needed a little longer cooking , but apart from that it was lovely. Service and staff were great and I notice that they have Emma serving who's worked in the windmill. All I can say is that it is the windmills loss and very much homesteads gain, lovely lady and very polite and cheerful making sure everything was ok. Thanks Emma!

This was our first time at The Homestead. We are here for a two day break. We was looked after by a lovely young man called Sean. He was so friendly and helpful. The meal was so lovely good value for money. I couldn't fault anything. We will definitely come again 🙂

Very disappointing. I ordered chicken with bacon in a bun, the bun was inedible. Some of my friends ordered in a bun. The fillings were nice but all the buns were extremely stale. I have just looked at the menu page on fb, our delivery looked absolutely nothing like in the pictures. We sat outside so went indoors to order. It was delivered, but we never saw anyone ever again. Wouldn't be in a rush to return

Very long wait time for service and ordering. When food arrived, there was cling film on it! Waitresses was very apologetic and took the price of the meal off the bill, but wasn't great. Usually nice food, but service was so slow!

It’s a building full of history and it’s nice for the pub to recognise this, with plenty of signage and comments on the menu to raise awareness of the past the place had. The interior is really well decorated although the high ceilings can make it a little chilly, especially during less busy times. The staff are all really friendly straight from arrival and we were made to feel welcome immediately. The dining area is much bigger than it initially looks but there’s a good area available should you only be wanting drinks. The car park is very large with the whole place accessible. The menu has a good range and is as you’d expect if you’re familiar with the chain. There’s a nice blackboard on the wall showing the daily offers available and some of these offer some great value! Our order was taken professionally and the food itself arrived in good time. The calamari starter came with three large rings and they were cooked well with a good sized dip and some rocket. The sirloin steak was cooked correctly to the order but some veg would have been nice, with it instead coming with only half a tomato. For the price though it was a good portion size in general. The toilets were clean as was the whole restaurant in general and overall it was a great early evening meal. It was good value, especially if you can take advantage of the deals available, and it’s a really relaxing environment.

Arriving around six on a Tuesday evening we found the place almost empty. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The choice of food was extensive. Our drinks were delivered quickly. The meals were all well presented and tasty. All in all this was a pleasant dining experience. Reasonable range of veggie and vegan options - ask for the vegan menu as it's not provided by default.

Was driving past on Monday and decided to pop in for a meal. Was quite busy but was greeted by Lynn and shown to a table. We ordered our food at the bar as we sat in the bar area. Had a Chicken and Mushroom Pie with mash . Food was served to us after about 15 mins. Food was hot and tasted lovely. Paid out bill and left got a goodbye from the man at the bar. Overall very pleasant.

The Homestead is a very nice pub. We've been there twice now and will definitely be returning. They have a wide selection to choose from on the food menu and the food is top quality. I particularly enjoy the freshly baked cookie that comes with the coffee. Drinks wise, again, there is a good selection to choose from, including one of my personal favourites, Ice Breaker on draught. The staff are friendly and efficient and the toilets are immaculate.

We called in for lunch today, we have a little dog & asked if we could bring her inside while we had food, it was a little chilly outside but we were prepared to sit outside if necessary, the guy who welcomed us was very polite & explained they didn't allow dogs in the food area but was happy to seat us in a quiet corner & brought us a bowl of water for our dog. The food was lovely, we choose off the lunchtime menu which was very reasonable & for an extra £3 you could have a starter or main, we didn't expect the food to be so plentiful or as well presented, it was delicious, the drinks were also lovely & abit different, all in all a very pleasant experience. Thank-you to the staff for making us all so welcome 😊

Excellent service, social distancing and time. A group of 6 arriving at midday did not leaving until early evening. One of the group had a full gluten free menu. All meals were beautifully cooked and enjoyed. I had probably the best restaurant fish and chips ever. The batter was really light and crunchy and the white fish had not dried out but was perfectly moist.

my wife requires gluten free food - the homestead had a whole menu for her instead of the odd choice she normally gets. we were very impressed with the choice on offer and the food was delicious. the service from Lynn was second to none, helpful, professional, cheery and polite. the atmosphere was condusive to a happy and relaxed feeling. we will most certainly be back and would not hesitate to recomend the Homestead to family and friends.

Even though the bar was empty, the manager was reluctant to let us in(3). He said all the tables were booked. Said we could have a drink ,but it no meals. Then he offered us bar meals. The restaurant had a large party on one table and a table with a small party. No one else came in, the only thing I can conclude, he was short staffed. All that aside he was very pleasant, and the place was nice and clean. Also the water that served us was very nice.

Came with friends who had steak (which they enjoyed). My husband & I are vegetarians. Only 2 options on the menu and one of those not available!! We ended up with deep fried halloumi and chips which was OK. However, we hadn't been in a resaurant in many years with so few options for vegetarians (and nothing if you are a vegan). Very poor.

My husband and I came to the homestead for our first date night in a long time, we had the sharing board to start and it was beautiful! My husband had the Cajun chicken burger, unfortunately it lacked any actual Cajun spice! The chicken itself was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely, just not at all Cajun. I had the chicken and woodland mushroom pie with mashed potatoes, the veg was cooked with a satisfying crunch, the mash was very buttery and the pie tasted very nice. The gravy was nice but I had to ask for more of it as the serving was too small. Their Covid procedures are excellent, speaking as a nurse, I couldn’t complain at all. Overall the service was friendly, the food was delicious and we felt safe. Thumbs up from us!

I went for dinner yesterday with my partner after not having been for a number of years. The service, venue and overall vibe was great and we couldn't fault it at all! All staffs were friendly and food and drinks were delivered on time. Unfortunately, the food was very bland which was disappointing. We ordered starters (creamy mushroom dish and sweet potato and red pepper koftas), mains were battered lemon and coriander halloumi with triple cooked chips and mushy peas and dessert was the salted caramel sundae. The starters and mains lacked salt and flavour in general. I've had the halloumi dish before and this is the reason I came back but we couldn't taste any lemon or coriander whatsoever and I'm pretty sure I was given a lemon wedge with it before. The dessert, we swapped the chocolate ice cream for more clotted cream ice cream and again it was just All bland. There were more brownie pieces than the cheesecake and barely any salted caramel sauce. So, unfortunately whilst we were really looking forward to the food, it really let us down, however the service and overall dining experience was lovely, so thank you to the staff who served us!

The food and service was exceptional. I'm a local to Bracebridge Heath but I've not been there for about 8 years. My last experience was not good but I've been hearing good reports about it. Lovely food and service at good prices. If you sign up to their newsletter you get frequent deals. Ignore the brain-dead reviews about prices or lack of offers, it's good value. As for the one about outside seating, you can't take bookings for outside because if it rains it'll be a big problem. They are also following Covid guidelines well. Enjoyable experience.

Just had a fantastic meal here it was very tasty and beautifully presented and I thought very reasonably priced, a very good selection on the menus too. I love the food here. Say what you like about 'pub chain food' but I've never had a bad meal here. The service has always been excellent too. As for the ale? I'm not a big drinker but the real ales are as good as they get.

The place looks nice and the staff were lovely but I wouldn't rate the food. My mum had a small lasagne with a piece of garlic bread and nothing else. I had the brewers chicken but it wasn't incredible and rather small. I don't think the menu choices were very good. But like I said the staff were brilliant.

I booked a buffet for the Homestead to be held earlier this week for a funeral reception. The food was brought out on time and everything I had was lovely and very fresh tasting. I am very happy with my choice of venue. There was plenty of tea and coffee supplied as well and the lemon drizzle cake was lovely. We were given our own space so no one could intrude and the decor gives a good atmosphere. the building is also very attractive and has a very good sized car park. This venue is also a 5 minute drive from Lincoln Crematorium and very easy to direct people to. Thank you Homestead

The staff were friendly and professional. I went for lunch with my partner and young son. It was a spontaneous choice as we saw it in passing. Not really a place for kids (very little kid friendly facilities) more suited for an adult clientele although there were plenty of children eating on a saturday lunch time The food was OK but nothing to make me want to go back but saying that it wasn't overly expensive either. If it was a toss up between a fast food place or this I would go here.

Love the new decor and the staff were very friendly....nice to see some older staff working there. We went as a group of 5 adults for my sons 19th birthday. The waitress was lovely and let my son order his favourite of Gammon even though it wasn't on the menu, then served it with a candle stuck in it which made us all giggle. However, the food was a bit of a let down! What we had was nice enough but portion sizes were very small compared to nearby places like Mill Lodge which I think is probably very slightly cheaper (although we did sign up to their club so got a free starter or dessert for our first visit to the Homestead). I ordered seafood grill (about £15) and even though I am not a big eater, the portions of fish were very small.....Cod, Sea Bass, Salmon and 2 king prawns. The piece of salmon I got was literally 1" square and about 5mm thick! Deserts were nice enough. I had sticky toffee pudding with a JUG of custard but bear in mind the JUG was tiny.....about an eggcup full of custard in all! Boys had a sundae but the cream was over whipped, thick and hard (like when you whip cream and then try and use it the next day). Consensus was that the place and staff were very good and the food was 'OK' but nothing exceptional and a bit overpriced for what you got. Not sure we will be rushing back which is a shame as I really like the atmosphere and setting.

4 of us visited the Homestead last weekend while in Lincoln for Xmas Market. Lovely building and decor, very comfortable inside, staff friendly and good service. Downside was the food, it does not live up to the "delicious handmade" descriptions on the menu. We had starters and mains, way overpriced as it was basic at best, mixed grill was inedible. Had better food at weatherspoon chains for half the price.

First time we've visited the Homestead, and it won't be the last. The food was good, the beer was good and the price was fair. Our waitress Kirsty, was pleasant and knowledgeable about the products. All in all, a lovely pub to spend at evening.

Had a meal here this evening and although the food was nice and the waiter we had was nice who brought out the food. The lady with the blonde and short hair, behind the bar however, who I'm guessing who is the manager, is rude and just from being there for 2 hours seemed to be even ruder and possibly even a bully to those under her supervision. (Funnily enough seems to be the only person without a name tag) We originally where only going to have drinks but decided to stay for food. While having drinks, the staff where slateing a customer who had just left, very loudly! When we moved to have food, my partner ordered at the bar, he came back to the table to tell me that the manager had been rudely talking to and about a member of staff in front of him while ordering. Then while sat near the entrance waiting for food we watched 3 groups of people waiting at the wait to be seated sign for 5-10 minutes each before they where even acknowledged. When one lady asked if they where going to be seen the manager shouted across the room with a rude tone saying yer I will be there in a minute when I'm done. At 8pm she was turning people away putting them off with the 40 minute wait telling them each time they said that's ok, she came back with another negative reason trying to put them off sitting down. I most definitely won't be returning and I dare say the 3 groups of people won't be either the attitude of the manager stinks and most definatley not what should be the front of house. The male waiter who dealt with us was very friendly and accommodating and the food was good. I think that some staff training and staff performance reviews would be with looking into if your wanting this place to exceed the perfect pub set up as it is lovely inside and has the potential to do well. I never leave negative reviews but was so shocked by the customer service of some of the staff.
