K. “. C.These are the HQ of the Weirdough Pizza 🍕🍕🍕 ! Available only for takeaway and delivery currently but so worth the try! The pizza is delicious with an excellent selection of "think out of the box" combos that are the closest thing to authentic Italian pizza (I go to Italy every year so trust my taste buds!)!
L. S.Absolutely beautiful quaint little pub. Awesome staff and atmosphere, well worth a visit. Totally deserves its 5 star rating. Keep your eyes open for live music events, be prepared to book in advance. Couple of pictures of Relentless Rockabilly Band, at the first gig outside in May.

N. P.Update: the pub is closed now Apparently this place is going to be closed down permanently in the next days. Not sure when is their last open day but I guess we can still visit them to show our support to staff and current managers.
P. J.Good selection of beers on tap. The crowd on a Friday evening changes from very loud students to slightly more sedate 'older' people as the evening progresses, just as the live music comes on. So if you want a quiet pint don't come because the atmosphere is definitely alive.
s. r.Just had a cracking night at the re-opening (I believe) of the tap & spike. Dam good slightly alternative pub with great beer and friendly staff. And the live music was great. Loved it. May even come again. Despite living in Bristol!!
S. S.Very lively pup, live music and good priced drinks. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was exciting but that did make it hard to hear each other's conversation.
f.Great Bar with live music, real ales that are always changing, and different functions happening throughout the year, with a recently installed large screen for sporting events etc. Big improvements have been made since the new Landlord (Ryan) took this over (around the beginning of 2015) and there is a noticeably bright and more lively feel to the place. Ryan was a great help when we wanted to hold a wedding reception here recently and he is always prepared to 'go the extra mile' to be helpful. Definitely well worth a visit.
C. D.Been coming here for a decade. The previous owners were amazing and the guy who looks after it at the moment is doing a great job too. A very friendly local and be sure to do Ricks music quiz. It's the best in Lincoln!

Naturally we got curious and payed a visit staff are fantastic and the food again is awesome definitely try the jumbo chicken nuggets.

N. S.Being a regular visitor to Lincoln, decided to move off the main tourist streets and found this great pub just a couple of minutes from Steep Hill.
Great atmosphere and good selection of drinks; however they have a growing side business of food to eat in, take away or deliver via Deliveroo cyclists.; which is fine.
Problem is that they only provided one bar-man on a busy Saturday night to serve all three bar areas; which he struggled to do.
Apart from serving drinks he also takes some food orders, which he has to take into the kitchen; all time consuming; detracting from customers wanting drinks.
The wait became past a joke, exasperated by him serving customers at the one bar area, some of whom had only just joined that queue.
Decided it would be quicker to move to other pub (Wig & Mitre, then Magna Carta)
Spoke to barman before leaving, saying that the management needed to get more bar staff.
He seemed to think that I was knocking him, which was not my intention. He was being run off his feet and doing the best he could.
Come on management, provide enough staff like every other pub in the area!
w.Great atmosphere pub but non live music too loud to have any sort of conversation. Not cool. I don't normally take ear defenders to a pub.
S. C.The food here is out of this world. The chicken 'nuggets' should be called chicken batons tho as they are way bigger than nuggets... and they are a thousand times better than kfc... You gotta try them, seriously. You will be hooked. And the loaded fries are a meal got for a long. They're massive too 😁
L.Still a good pub, but the choice of drinks is nothing compared with what it used to be. Though the food menu does look pretty good with the odd slightly different selection.
A. P.Ordered takeaway so this review reflects that. Super happy with the food, it was all tasty and well made with some minor comments. I had the Super Spicy Carribean Hot Chicken Burger. I tend to think of hot chicken as being cooked with a spicy batter or rub. This was (admittedly very good) regular fried chicken cutlet with sauce applied to the burger. The flavours we're good, I should have added pickle but that's on me.
The sauce was definitely spicy and they're not fooling around, for reference only I would say it's a bit less spicy than Samyang's Extreme Hot Chicken (Red) ramen so probably 5000-7000 shu from my limited experience. It had a bearable mouth burn and a little more lip burn than I tend to like.
My partner had the BBQ pulled pork loaded fries and they were also very good though the pork was a hair on the dry side.
S. P.Nice town drinking pub, although they apparently do food now, can't comment on that I'm afraid. Nice draft ale and Old Rosy on tap, winner!
