Went today for our lunch after a long walk on the beach with two dogs. We were made so welcome by friendly staff who brought water out for the dogs and the food was lovely, hot and home cooked. Will definitely be going again.

If you haven't been for a Sunday Lunch here, try it! For less than £12 you get a huge, well presented tasty dinner. Roasties, Yorshire Pudding, Stuffing, Sausage wrapped in Bacon, Swede and Mash, Carrots, Green Beans, Gravy and a choice of meat. I had Lamb, my other companions had Roast Beef. Delicious but, the portions were so generous, none of us managed to clear our plates 😉 We will be back!

Excellent bar with fantastic beer gardens, the perfect place to relax and spend time with friends and family! Our kids loved the rear garden which has now got a slide, table tennis and football table. Cask ales are back and the food was delicious *****

Enjoy coming here with my dogs and sitting outside in the sun. Not had a proper meal here so I cannot comment on the food, I’ve only had snacks. However, the snacks were nice.

Cute little spot for some food if you've been to the beach that day, I'd probably say above average to your other pub burgers though, really nice and fresh and some good options available, think burger and chips were like £11.50, but staff very friendly too and everything was nice and clean!

Great location, near the train station and is on the same road as lots of other bars and restaurants. The food is good quality and is served quickly and the staff are all very friendly. The beer garden is clean and well kept and is perfect for a summer day.

The place was nice and friendly but there was a slight mix up with our order which was rectified by speaking with the staff, just a friendly read back of the order would have avoided this, but other than that the food was tasty and we enjoyed the atmosphere 👍👍

The beer was good, but the food left a lot to be desired, I ordered a rib eye steak, it arrived and I had to ask if it was the correct meal. I am sorry I never took a picture of the meat, it looked like a ceiling tile that had been put under a grill and tasted like it. The three stars are for the beer, not the food.

Fairly decent food, very slow service didn't help, told to take a seat on patio area, took 15 mins for waitress to take our drinks order, another 10 before we got our drinks. Good food menu selection, but they didn't have our first choices, settled for fish and chips which was ok, staff weren't very helpful, rather be elsewhere,, So would we,, Doubting we would visit again,,

I was impressed with this place when I visited. The service was excellent, quick and efficient. A great range of wines, beers and spirits. I was impressed that I was able to get a pint of non-alcoholic lager rather than the usual bottled stuff. Although I did not eat, the food of fellow customers looked and smelt delicious. Plenty of TV screens to watch live sporting events, including a large one at one end. Will call again and have a bite to eat soon.

Had a lovely drive out to Crosby for a Sunday afternoon to meet friend and his Dad who lives over that way. Bistro we were going to eat in was unexpectedly closed and good job for us. Ended up having a HUGE roast dinner in the spacious beer garden. Tons of tasty veggies. Really really good. Only reason not 5 stars was no horseradish with my beef. Will be back though as great meal and worth every penny (was £9.95 I think).

Roast was fabulous, no mash as described in the menu on line but still great. Will definitely ho again. They mention on the web page bringing family together in the Sunday menu, but a child's roast isn't on the menu! Shame, but the grandchildren still enjoyed their lunch. Revisited today with family for dinner, definitely got their act together on the food. Steak and ale pie great,southern fried chicken burger fantastic, bacon and cheeseburger amazing. After a bad review last time I only think its right to amend it now.staff always great, thanks guys.

The Marine Bar & kitchen is ideal for a drink and a bite to eat during the day or evening if you're visiting Crosby Waterloo coastal area. It's located at the bottom of South Road near to the pedestrian entrance to the Marine Lake. As for the food we couldn't fault it along with the service. My daughter chose a burger served with chunky fries it came with two big freshly cooked minced beef burgers that were really tasty (not like the fast food variety) they were cooked to perfection. Served on the now customary brioche bun. The fries were delicious best chunky chips I've had for a long time. I chose the thick cut bacon topped with a fried egg and served with the aforementioned chunky chips, onion rings and peas. They were two very large thick slices of tasty bacon. With two drinks the bill came to £26. We ate in the bright & sunny and very clean beer garden. The Marine Bar & kitchen is a dog friendly pub with bowls of water set out for the dogs which on the hot day we visited was essential.

The food was out of this world 2 Lamb Roasts and Apple Crumble for Dessert a couple of pints still under £20. Also didn't have to reserve a table literally just walked in unbelievable for a Sunday.

Much better now, no really loud music, play area for kids and lots more outside seating. Prices are high though, particularly for food bearing in mind it’s aimed towards families. Nobody eating when we were there even though plenty people enjoying the warm weather.

Have been visiting Champs for the past couple of months now and I have to say that there is not a pub in the North of Liverpool that comes close. As you would expect from a sports bar, the live sport line up is second to none. The food is fresh (no microwaved ready meals) and reasonably priced and they have a great selection of ale, from quality draught, cask and spirits to a wide choice of bottles. The weekends are absolutely top notch- a great DJ- open till 1am and a great mix of people with no hassle. The staff are helpful and friendly and considering the amount of people that go in the place still looks brand new. Whether you are looking for sport, food or a great night out- i can't recommend CHAMPS, highly enough
