Lovely food in a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend the steak or the crispy chicken sandwich. Check the menu for the special deals. There is also a nice selection of desserts. The staff are friendly and helpful. Service is really good 👍 They also have special events for families with entertainment. Outside seats available and a special outdoor Gin Garden when the weather is good. Car parking is more than ample. I returned to this lovely pub a week later and was met with a lovely welcoming lady who sat my friend and I down. She served us with a lovely smile. I opted lasagne on this occasion and my friend went for his favourite steak, cooked the way he liked it. I was really pleased with the service and food quality 😋

A popular local pub & restruant under the Hungry Horse banner, offering cheap eats and drinks. We visited on a Friday early evening, spur of the moment & the place was very busy, with around a 45 minute wait for for food, so probably worth pre booking a table & bearing this in mind ahead if your visit. Food arrived hot & good sized portions, good value aa two burgers for the price of one one a Friday. Off road parking right outside the pub.

We have been for a lovely meal with the family. The food was delicious and the portions size big. My partner had a the full monty, mum had the chicken sizzler and I had the crispy chicken sandwich which was amazing and probably the best sandwich I had in quite a while. The waitresses were so helpful and friendly to make you feel welcome and they couldn't do enough. I think my daughter made a new friend and had a good chat with Mandy. Definitely will come again. P. Went for sunday roast. It was not up to normal standard. Mash tasted like smash. Meat was dry, overall not good. My husband had the large roast served in a giant Yorkshire pudding which he couldn't eat as it was rubbery.

Our lovely local, finally back open. Booked a table for 3 and absolutely made up to be back. Completely Covid safe. Outdoors lovely. Staff can’t do enough. We asked to move initially as r table was out of the sun. To be honest the staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate, even though we were not the only table to be asked to move through out the day. The food was really tasty, hot and very quick from order to table. Staff were brilliant, couldn’t do enough for us. Most definitely will be back. Well done to management and staff. It’s the first time for a long time ‘we had a proper beer garden bev’ xx

From walking in and being greeted, to being explained there social distancing policy everything was professional. We used the phone app very easy to use ordering both meals and drinks. The food came quick even though it was busy, no complaints about the food very tasty and generous portions. We have ate here a number of times and will return again. We have been for a Birthday lunch on a Sunday. It was really busy. The staff was very helpful and so friendly. I think it was the restaurant manager who sat us and sorted a table. She made us very welcome and sorted out drinks while we waited for the rest of our party. The waiter who took our food order was very helpful. I would definitely go again.

Nice pub, nice guests, great food at a good price but not as clean as should be. Tables are always sticky and in general you don't feel its being looked after on a par with the effort being made by the kitchen staff. Would recommend the food but you will need to clean your table and glasses before use

This place can be hit and miss. Some days we can be served reasonably quick yet other days we have to keep calling someone over. It is very slow. Your best to phone to check stock as some days they run out of most things.

Great place! Kids went wild outside. Made a gang if new mates and had to be dragged home. So much better than sitting down in a restaurant having to be formal and behave! Food was ridiculous! I visited with a friend for something to eat and with a name like Nags Head was concerned it would be serving only jellied eels and resemble the pub out of only fools and horses. Fortunately it doesnt. This is a light and airy green king pub with a decent selection of cask ales and a full menu. I had vegan fish and chips and my friend had fish and chips. Both were very tasty and not a jellied eel or even pickled egg in site! This pub is suitable families and has a large outdoor seating area at the back with no access to the road except through the pub. This pub is covid secure.

As soon as you arrive you are greeted by a member of staff. The covid rules are explained to you and your shown to your table and asked to choose your food and drinks from the app that is provided. Once you have done that a short wait later your served your food and drinks. As far as pub grub goes it's as good as any in the area.

The staff here are always really lovely and helpful but they do seem slightly understaffed. The man who put our order through was very polite and the two ladies who brought our food to the table were lovely and very helpful. We could tell they were rushed trying to get tables cleaned and food served aswell as customers needing to ask for things from them. Our table was dirty when we got there and i had to ask for it to be cleaned when ordering food. I have to say this is not a problem! I have worked as a waitress and know how messy families can be when they go out to eat some of them have no manners. Somone did come over right away to clear our table but it didn't get a wipe down. My point here really is I think they were understaffed. Poor girls looked so rushed. But were very helpful and polite and food was really nice. It always is.

Have with my wife frequently dined in the "Nags head" on each occasion enjoying a steak sizzler which is covered in a cheese sauce. Unfortunately on this occasion I had more grissle on the steak (at least a third) that really spoiled the enjoyment. I did mention this to the lassie , with a " I will mention it to the chef", but nothing materialized. Otherwise I have no issues with the service,the staff in general, presentation of the meal etc.

Has always provided me with an excellent service. The food is very good and very reasonably priced. A large selection of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic also reasonably priced. Not too packed, we have always managed to find a table and they have a large car park and therefore we have never had any problems finding a parkung space.

Nice pub to bring family menu is the Hungery Horse menu which is very good value. The pub is very well maintained and a beautiful garden and place for the kids to play. Also the menu offers vegetarian and vegan options.

Ita too warm so the doors are open meaning you spend your entire meal swatting flys away for your food ! Very poor !

Would have really enjoyed this place but the tables were dirty & worse there were a lot of flies. I chose lasagne and while my plate was very hot the lasagne wasn't, work that one out. On peak time just after five , if you dont mind screaming kids then go at this time , very nice refit very tidy and specious, food is what you'd expect in a pub restaurant, no sauce on hunters chicken, but eaten no probs , and beer was replaced owing to being first pint out of keg (ipa) cloudy.Great service from waiting on staff , excellent service.
