All our meals were excellent again.. starters goat's cheese, calamari, pate, soup... mains roast beef, turkey, salmon & slow roast belly pork. Staff were really helpful & friendly as always. They all wished my mum's friend a happy birthday which he really appreciated. We will be back again soon 😊

A great place gorgeous a special treat, rather expensive for just "lunch". Surroundings very pleasant, no children running around. Peaceful until a screaming baby,very young, started.i cannot understand folk bringing such a little one to such a restaurant. Other than that, a very enjoyable time, staff pleasant and cooperative. We had booked a Sunday all day lunch for a group of 6 including a 10 month old baby , we were disappointed to find out that the Sunday lunches were no longer on the menu when we were about to order our food at 5pm. This is the second time I have been with our grandson and on both occasions the high chair straps were broken and both occasions the staff provided us with a different chair. We wonder who will get a broken chair next time .The service was OK this time but slow which the waitress apologised for .

Although the food was nice service was abit off. Ordered wine with meal told the one one i wanted was out of stock so ordered a different one which never came. so ended up eating half the meal with no wine until i could grab a staff member and ask what happened. Also we were served by five different members of staff which didnt help maybe they were having a bad night but its put me off going back.

Went on Wednesday evening for husbands birthday. Extremely busy but enjoyed the meal food tasty good portions and served piping hot. Only criticism is side salad with starters very tired and limp looking. Service good apart from having to ask for more water 3 times .

Service was excellent but... Given a tiny table with a Shared starter that was basically all put in a fryer. A bit disappointed with this. Had a bottle of wine that we had to put on the floor as the was no room on the table. Placed near the kitchen where every time the door opened there was music blasting out. Quite expensive for what we had really. The table service we couldn't fault but won't be returning soon!

We had a great meal at the punch bowl me my wife and daughter we chose the Christmas menu a waitress had a slight accident with some plates and a small amount of food went on my wife s coat the waitress couldn't have been more apologetic it was an accident after all ..my said not to worry about it so after the meal which again was great we got the bill and the management had knocked a substantial amount off so 5star for your customer care thanks again and I hope to be back again shortly

Fantastic place, nice cosy atmosphere. If you book your table it usually has less people so its a bit quiet. If you haven't booked then you have to sit at a table near the bar which isn't bad really there is just more tables. I know the one of the chefs in there, absolutely fantastic. I would recommend anyone going there for any age group. Parking is good.

My Grandson and his girlfriend along with myself have just had wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food and the service was first class made more special with attention of our waitress Ella. This was not the first time I have been and it definitely won't be the last .We arrived over a hour early but they changed my booking with no hesitation. Just been today for the first time and I had the roast beef Sunday roady and it was delicious and beautifully presented. It is the nicest roast dinner I have ever had in a pub. The service and staff were excellent. Will definitely be going again.

Just love this country style pub diner. Sunday roast is really good but they offer a range of other dishes to suit all tastes and pockets. Serve good wine by the glass. It gets very crowded at peak times so probably best to book unless you're popping in at off peak times. Variety of seats including comfy armed chairs, bench style seats and ordinary dining chairs. Outside seating as well as small child play area. Ample parking but can also park on roads around if pushed. Minimal parking for disabled people in front of door.

Fortunately we'd booked a table weeks ago for Sunday Lunch, as the place was very busy when we arrived. The pub looks lovely from the outside and was equally smart inside. Great choice on offer, but went for the Lamb Shank. One of my better decisions, as the meal was excellent, and plenty of it. Vegetables were spot on and the meat certainly did not require the steak type knife that I was supplied with. I would have given it five stars, but we were stuck towards the back of the pub, and got the distinct impression that the staff serving us tended to forget we were there. Plus, rather embarrassingly, there was a group of very noisy Brummies on the table next to us. I'd certainly come back here, but insist on not being shoved away out of sight.

The staff were friendly and attentive, the overall atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. It's a lovely old building but is a bit dark during the day because of the low ceilings. Our starters were all really nice, but the mains were hit-and-miss as half of our party were left a bit underwhelmed. Also I didn't realise until later, we were charged a-la-carte prices even though we ordered from the set menu, although that's my fault for not checking. The Punchbowl is in pleasant surroundings and would normally offer good value for a restaurant experience, but is probably too expensive for casual dining. The menu was well put together, with a small number of varied offerings, but unfortunately the food itself wasn't enough to make me want to come back

Booked a table for me and my friends for our Christmas meal. Lady who brought food was lovely, just felt though some of the other staff was looking down at us. We felt a bit rushed as it was empty after 9 and we got the feeling that they just wanted us to hurry up and finish are drinks so they could close up early which made me and some of my friends anxious as we was looking to have a meal where we could relax.

The Punchbowl is a well established pub/restaurant and has a nice warm welcoming interior. I attended recently for a Christmas meal with my family and I have to say the food was delicious. I just think with few tweaks the atmosphere could of been improved. The Christmas music a tiny bit higher, Christmas crackers on the table and some mince pies to finish.

Four of us went ,our starters and meals were really good as was the staff couldn't fault them ,the place was done lovely ,What was a big let down was the toilets though clean ,one toilet had no seat ,and my goodness does it need a paint job really let the place down ,a massive tub of magnolia is needed ,that was the only let down .

Four of us went ,our starters and meals were really good as was the staff couldn't fault them ,the place was done lovely ,What was a big let down was the toilets though clean ,one toilet had no seat ,and my goodness does it need a paint job really let the place down ,a massive tub of magnolia is needed ,that was the only let down .
