A delightful cocktail bar with an electric vibe to the place. Situated on Brick Lane right where the action begins. Get a huge selection of beverages, especially in cocktail form. I'm a simple man and adore a Cuba Libre with frappe ice, heavy on the limes. The staff are inviting and very friendly.

We hired out Apples & Pears for my 50th on a Friday evening. Wow what an incredible night. A very warm welcome, loads of positive energy, great music and cocktails that were out of this world. Everyone enjoyed the evening so much thanks to Reggie, Kim and the super friendly cocktail makers / bar staff. Absolutely faultless from start to the finish. The house cocktail (apples and pears) is very well balanced. Amazing, not too sweet, hints of cinnamon, beautiful. You have to try it. We came on a saturday, DJ was alright. Outdoor section out back is a VIBE. Would recommend. Definitely gonna cone back tomorrow (sunday) for the acoustic night.

Kim and the team were amazing from start to finish to accommodate my friend's hen party, it was the first time any of us had visited the bar. We had such a great night, the cocktails were delicious, the happy hour generous and the bar staff so friendly (apologies about the mess we must have left behind!). I will definitely be returning when the DJ booth is back in operation after restrictions have eased as it must be a fantastic night out with the tunes. This place is a real gem that everybody should experience :D

Went on a Saturday for a birthday bash, and had a fantastic time. Was quiet when we got there, so could work our way through the "happy hour" menu until 8pm. Cocktails were strong, tasted great, and cheap. My favourite of the night was the Doctor's Orders, which was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. Staff were great, knowledgeable and friendly, and when the DJ started the music was excellent. Best night out in a while!

I cannot compliment the drinks mwnu enough! Such a great variety and fun names too, the cocktail with george clooney alongside a yellow carnation was delicious and so much fun to look at! Great staff, lovely vibe and cocktails to die for! The music could have been (much) better but You can't have it all! Security were super freindly (not in that touchy feely way some are either), very proffessional. Altogether a great place for a night out. Being asked for ID at the door made my night!

The bartenders mixing cocktails seem quite talented and make a good show out of your drink orders. I had the Apples & Pears drink which was quite tasty, if a bit sweet. This was essentially a dance club when I went in on Saturday, and I tend to prefer a quiet place to drink for cocktails. So I have a hard time rating it high.

Great place on a Friday or Saturday night. DJ plays old school R&B and hip hop along with up to date chart music. Security are extremely friendly and so are the bar team. Nice atmosphere and all the times i have visited there hasn't been any trouble.

Had ordered a table for my birthday but was not confirmed - but they managed to give us a place at the back garden which is beautiful - Especially Mr Sheik the security was amazing - we were about 10 of us, we got very happy and tipsy but were treated very politely. Always have a great time at this bar. Music is superb, bar staff are great and friendly, although it can take a while to get served, but not their fault, bar is just too small. Lovely little outside area for smokers with heating, great downstairs area for private parties.

Had my birthday party here in April 15 and hired the downstairs bar area. The venue is really nice, quirky and has a friendly vibe with good music, soundsystem and lighting. Everyone from the manager to the bar staff to the bouncers were very friendly, welcoming and helpful for me and my guests. The cocktails they serve with their own twist are excellent and they put together a bespoke cocktail menu for my event. All in all they really did an excellent job and I thank them for helping to make my event such a good one!

I hired the basement bar this weekend just gone for my 30th birthday and it was by far the best party I've ever had! The booking process was really easy and the two barmen we had were fantastic! I decided to play my own music on the night and they helped me set it up, the cocktails were delicious and the venue is super cool and trendy! I had about 40 guests and I feel 40-50 is perfect, anymore and it would've felt a little cramped. Thank you again to all the staff

I booked this bar for my 30th birthday party. Whilst it may have been smaller than I expected it to be, the atmosphere, drinks and DJ were great. Tonight was my second visit and I adored it again. The staff remembered me and seemed happy to see me. The drinks are delicious and given they are so strong, good value. Everyone will enjoy the raspresso martini! Many cocktails have fun little additions like popping candy, frazzles or cups of crystallised ginger. I’ve paid double the price for a cocktail half as good. Beautiful, delicious and powerful. What more could you want? Then comes the music. I don’t remember the last time I’ve heard DJs so good. The two I’ve seen have mixed the music well, teasing the next songs. So many people spend more time talking than listening to the music, or are basically a glorified playlist, here the DJ seriously adds to the music. The selection is eclectic enough for everyone to enjoy. It was easy to dance solidly for 3 hours. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

This place was very very cool. I celebrated my farewell there last Friday and my 40 guests and I had an amazing time. Not too big where you lose all your friends but not too small to feel claustrophobic. Music was awesome mash up of rnb and latest pop music was really easy to dance to whilst many where content with just chillin by bantering over it. Downstairs had a cool live band, shame we didn't tap into it as much but was cool to know we could have if we wanted a chance of scene for a bit. The garden area looked quaint too.. can sit out there for a more chilled, less loud ambience. Overall, I'd hang there again for some casual drinks/catch up with a friend, or to dance once the mood is right! .. Highly recommend. Thanking A&P for their hospitality.

TL;DR - great cocktails, uppity staff when it comes to a pint A&P Bar can't be crowned brick lane's best cocktail because it's on Osborne St. But it's definitely one of the best in a straight line. Don't miss if you want more than a pint. Also the staff make you feel they're above pouring a pint hence the 4 stars. Has a garden where smoking is allowed.

Had my 30th at Apples and Pears on Saturday and it could not have gone better. I struggled to find anywhere with a completely private area and reasonable minimum spend in London, so hit the jackpot when I found this. The booking process was very easy, and Kim was incredibly helpful - responding quickly and thoroughly to any question that was asked. On the night, Reggie and all the bar & security staff were a joy to be around and couldn't do more for you. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Apples and Pears to anyone.

I never even knew that this place existed until I stumbled across if and decided to check it out. It can definitely go onto the hidden gem list. In midweek they have a range of different events on to try and mix things up a bit and it was the songwriters corner when I was there. 4 singer songwriters sitting around talking about their inspirations and processes before treating the audience to some very good entertainment. I'll all for venues doing something a little bit different and this was right up my street. Luckily their cocktails made me want to hang around to listen to the music. After all, that's why we were there. I went for the Hanuman which was a bourbon and rum old fashioned and I would highly recommend it. A good hit of booze but not too harsh that it wasn't an absolute pleasure to drink. Hannah plumped for the Nuclear Colada which was actually a lot tastier than it looked given that it was served with about half a glass of squirty cream on top of the alcohol. Cream fans would probably love it but this one had to be drunk quickly to make sure that the alcohol wasn't tainted! The menu is pretty extensive and they are willing to make you up a classic if that's what you want. I'll definitely be back to sample a few more!

Love this bar! I randomly started djing there as cover dj for the resident a few months ago. Im not saying I love it just because I occasionally work here but it's a place where you genuinely meet loveliest people. The bar and the outside terrace is relaxed where you can chill and mingle with people. This bar is a comfortable feel atmosphere where they properly make drinks with mixologists and you get real smiles. I've played at many A-list clubs since 2001 but you can get so many narcissistic over pretentious people from the crowds with over priced drinks at the bar and going to bars like this one is the are the places where I go now when I'm not djing. If you want real people, real drinks and a real good time - this is the place. To the main man there - one love!
