Friendly staff and very clean - The beer was excellent as well!

This pub can be great. Fantastic space, clean and fairly good priced drinks. There is a menu of exceptional freshly made Caribbean (Barbados) food available there as well, made by well known Barbadian female chef Shaun Walcott. However the atmosphere is very gloomy. A weekend DJ and television for sports will not go amiss just to lively up the venue a bit.

I probably go here once every two months, or less. And it's definitely an acquired taste. But it does what it does extremely well - it's like pubs used to be. Don't be put off by the lack of windows and go see a proper locals pub. Bonus - it's really cheap compared to the competition!

Tucked away by Catford shopping centre, just off the Broadway. The entrance way always has a crowd of smokers that merges with the people who stand around in the street, which can be slightly confusing. But don't be put off! As you walk through the entrance the blurry cctv footage of yourself entering reassures you that the actions of patrons could be scrutinised by the police later if they don't behave themselves. It's big and often quite empty. The tables are spaced quite far apart. However, they are clean, shiny, and quite ornate. The carpet is also reasonably good quality, and covers the whole floor area. It used to get the council workers, but they have moved to the Constitutional. The average age of current clients is probably about 45. If you want somewhere where you can get served pretty standard lager very quickly, and then sit in a dark corner and not get noticed, then this is a good place. There is a pool table. It livens up a lot when there is live music on, which is usually loud rock.

We had lunch today... Real Authentic Barbados Cuisine... Delicious and full of flavour... Beautiful cooked Seabass and Salad and a wicked hot pepper sauce lovingly made from by resident Chef Shaun Walcott... I wish her every success in a food operation, there are not many Barbados restaurants in local area... Shaun has definitely brought the beautiful Island to South East London... Black Cat does amazing pint of Guinness and Caters for a very culturally diverse community... Its a real community Hub, full of Character and Charm... Lee Anthony and Theresa Clarke

Nice old skool pub ,was the black ram ,had a really really bad reputation,it's so nice now ,locals are friendly ,nice drink selection,toilets need a bit of a paint job ,but overall all good ,pool table there also ,plus nice stage ,looks small from out side but big like a triangle shape ,worth a visit

A nice pub right on High Street we sat at the back of the pub great Wi-Fi connection customer service was brilliant we had ordered some food which came quickly we had the Empire State burger meal and also the mixed grill both together with great customer service skills

Beautiful place and courteous staff.. if you are an Iqos smoker you are allowed to use them there as it is similar to vaping... Drinks are reasonable and I would recommend everyone to head on over ....
