👍 🍷 🧀 👌 Absolutely lived up to expectations. An extremely nice (dog friendly) spot to explore different wines and enjoy delicious food. As others have reported, the very fun, gregarious owner runs round making sure everyone is having a great time (which we did). We were there on a Saturday evening. We arrived early to get a table. The place was pretty much full by 1945 so I'd get there early (or reserve a table) to make sure you don't miss out.

Thank you so much Kate for the sourdough bread baking workshop ! I have been baking every week since I attended the workshop n November.. Kate is very entertaining and explains the bread baking process very well. Also you have a chance to taste Kate's bread during the process with a glass of wine and homemade chutney!

We booked this gem of a place on a Saturday for our leaving do for 30-40 people. From the moment we arrived Manu, the charismatic Italian owner, had us in hysterics, loaded us with some of the best wine we've drunk, not to mention the unbelievable negronis and espresso martinis. No ask was too much, a couple of guests weren't drinking, so he let them bring in their own alcohol free beers from the shop down the road with no corkage fee. The place is wild, rebellious, and sophisticated. So many people commented on the great vibe. Will make this a permanent visit every time we're back in London. Can't recommend it enough. I took Kate's sourdough bread class, which was awesome fun. The class was perfectly organised, and icing on the cake was some lovely wine and nibbles. I came away with knowledge and skills to make my own sourdough - results speak for themselves. Highly recommended :)

Cosy and quiet wine bar in Hackney. The staff were so friendly and gave us a great recommendation for a tasty Pinot noir and some complimentary snacks. Lovely atmosphere and highly recommended.

Had an really great haircut from Kate, its a beautifully decorated wine bar/ hairdressers and Kate was so professional and friendly. She gave me a great haircut and also was lovely to have a chat to. Its also a great spot for wine, they definitely know their stuff when it comes to pairing wine with food. Highly recommend.

Last Saturday, I threw a surprise party at Bottle and Blade to celebrate my girlfriend's 30th. From the moment I asked whether the venue was available to the end of the party, Manu and Kate were terrific. Before the party, Manu helped me plan the evening, recommending food, drinks and timings. On the big night, they were the perfect hosts -- welcoming our guests and making sure everyone was having a good time. Delicious charcuterie and wine combined with soft lighting and great music created a beautiful atmosphere. My girlfriend had a ball, and said she wouldn't have done anything differently. If you're planning to throw a party or event with around 30 people, then look no further.

I recently threw a surprise party for my boyfriend at Bottle and Blade and it couldn't have gone any better!! I had the whole space for it, Kate & Manu were so so helpful from the moment I first inquired to the last minute of the night. They are both so lovely and were so accommodating with how I wanted it to be and helped me with the planning. The wine and nibbles were amazing, the music is great and it feels so much more special than going to a chain bar or restaurant. I would highly recommend hiring this place for a birthday or any other event. It is also such a lovely place for a glass of wine or two in the evening. Highly recommend and very excited to try one of the wine tasting evenings or sourdough workshops!! thank you :) xx

This place is a gem . The wine was beautiful and it was great to learn more about it. They had some small sharing plates of food which looked good. The atmosphere was cosy, great for a date or catch up with friends. The service was brilliant.
