I came here for my first Fish & Chips in the U.K. and they absolutely crushed it. Hands down the best fish and chips I had anywhere, the fries where perfect not only in size but also seasoning. The tartar sauce was devine. 10/10 will be eating this here again before leaving.

A fantastic first meal for our trip to London, this pub right in the heart of St James was a traditional and very British style pub. We had the pork schnitzel burger which was lovely and the gammon egg and chips which were great and they came out at a good time, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Buckingham Arms is one of a series of decent, traditional pubs that link Victoria Station to Parliament Square. The Buckingham is an atmospheric, open plan pub with large old leaded windows, a long bar featuring good real ales and a pub menu of traditional English foods.

Avoid the food! The chicken strips had been cremated and they brought ketchup instead of the promised BBQ sauce. This was pointed out and they apologised and brought a second pot of ketchup which they said was BBQ sauce and implied that I didn't know the difference. It got one star above the minimum because it's not a Greene King which otherwise contaminate the area. They ended up comping the chicken and apologising so I've bumped up by another star.

First time visitors to London. my partner and I stopped in here after getting back from a long day tour. We were starving and thirsty. We were greeted by a friendly bar tender who advised us to sit anywhere we liked. He offered table service but I was happy to order at the bar. Whilst here, my partner and I wanted to try a nice "English" beer. The bartender was extremely helpful in this request, even giving me a free sample of a couple. We order traditional fish and chips and cottage pie. Both meals were hearty and filled the spot. Not a fan of mushy peas but I won't hold that against this pub. The staff continues to come up and ask if everything was alright and if there was anything further we needed. All in all, an excellent little pub that you should visit if you get the chance. Only loosing one star because the prices are a little high, although from what I'm seeing, the prices seem to be the norm for London pubs.

Hi! First of all, I have to tell you that I'm a Spanish girl so sorry for my English if I don't write correctly. I was in this pub a few days ago when it was the last day of my holidays in London. And it was the worst decision of my trip because I would have loved to go there every day I was in the city! Not just one day :( The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very different for Spanish people (and that's always good! 😊) and especially I loved the staff! They are friendly and helpful. One of the waiters was very nice with me and I would have liked to keep in touch with him. You don't always find people who are kind with you if you don't understand much English. In conclusion, this is the best British pub in London and here the best waiters in the world work!! 🤭

Excellent pub. One of those rare pubs nowadays where the barman strikes up a conversation with you as you walk in and you immediately feel at home. Admittedly this was on a Saturday afternoon when things were very quiet and it sounds as if the pub gets extremely busy on weekday late afternoons/early evenings. We had an excellent pint of Young's Bitter as you would expect from a pub that has featured in every edition of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide - one of only 5 to have done so, I believe. There were five other real ales to choose from. They do food but we did not eat so can't comment on that. Comfortable pub with an interesting interior and nice and cool on a hot day!

Came here as saw it highly rated. Asked the server about the roast pork belly. I was assured fresh delivery daily of meat and wow I was not disappointed. The crackling bit was perfect. Not too hard and not too chewie. Good price and a nice selection of beers. What else you want?

I visited The Buckingham Arms today for lunch with friends. The welcome was very warm, the food was tasty and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We had a nice lunch. I had a dog with me and was delighted at the warm welcome he received too. Thank you Buckingham Arms, we will be back!

Decent burgers at fairly reasonable prices considering the location. There's usually a good selection of interesting beers/ales and the staff are always helpful. Can be very busy at lunchtime so it's worth heading there early to secure a table.

Good Youngs pub in out of the way location, off the busy Victoria Street area. As a result of its proximity to Westminster it tends to attract large numbers of civil servants from nearby departments. Thursday and Friday can be particularly busy, and in summer the pavement outside is often more busy than the pub. Check out the narrow drinking corridor around the back of the bar as it can be quieter in there.
