Reviews of Cask Pub & Kitchen
S. V.
A funky type pub. Very good selection of beers. From porters to ale to craft beer plus Lots of different types of bottle beers. The Beers are kept well
L. P.
Great find whilst on a weekend trip to London, only a very short walk from our hotel. Fantastic selection of craft beers and amazing staff, very friendly and chatty. If I lived near I would visit more often, but I would recommend anyone on a trip to London to seek this place out for a lovely relaxed beer in an environment where you can chat without having to shout over the sound of music.
Really can't say enough about this place - Brilliant, thank you!
N. D.
Has a fantastic and changing range of interesting, unusual and really great beers. Its location in a modern housing Block doesn't immediately look great, but inside its all about the beer and food. Menu is pretty aimple with usual burgers. Well worth a visit
J. W.
One of the original craft beer bars, it was quiet when I visited. The service was attentive and welcoming, with a range of different beer styles available. Good choice to offer a limited menu of primarily burgers as these were of an excellent quality. Had a couple of beers, both were well kept and at the appropriate temperature.
P. J.
Nice craft beer pub in the heart of Pimlico. Fairly busy on the January Saturday evening we visited. Had a lambic on draft - not something you see often. (Though £5 for a half). Fairly quirky decor. Large selection of craft beers and some quite unusual.
L. N.
Wonderful pub, great location, excellent beer selection and beers are well kept. Staff are super friendly and it's a very welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
J. S.
Good choice of beers (that´s what the place is about, right?), a friendly bartender and generally nice people in the place
C. M.
Great environment and the nicest staff in the greater London area. Visiting from America, burgers and fries were amazing. Would definitely recommend!
T. C.
Great atmosphere. Great beer selection. Staff were very polite and helpful. One of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. Strongly recommend a visit
M. D.
I’ve been going to Cask for the last 3 years. It’s always a nice place to drink, eat, and just relax.
This past Sunday, they had live music with a bluegrass, folk style band. It was the perfect level of sound, not too loud you couldn’t talk but loud enough you could enjoy it over other people’s conversations.
The food here is always good and the beers are weird. If you’re looking for a funky new beer to try, this is the place.
G. C.
An extremely good selection of craft beer set in a comfortable, modern setting. It can get very busy but that is testament to how good it is. There are a large number of beers in all styles and from many countries. There are daily specials and rare or much sought after bottles (with an appropriate price tag).
The food was served quickly and was very tasty - and perfect to soak up some of the stronger stouts we had.
I. J. M.
Brilliant spot in the heart of London SW1. Highly recommended... Class selection of beers and the food is excellent and a good price for London. Best of all is the owner... A really good attitude to customers and a proper friendly gent. Nice decor also.
I. V.
Great beers. Knowledgeable and friendly staff within a dinners throw off Pimlico tube. Great pub
N. P.
This is an okay spot. On the street drinking is not very pleasant. The range of beers is decent but not fantastic, quite expensive from memory. A little soulless -- all thin wood chairs and similar, generic type decorations, feels quite paint by numbers and not very characterful.
M. C.
Had a look for somewhere with good beer and food while working away from home. So glad I decided on this place. Amazing burger, cracking pint of best bitter and loads of other choices of craft ales.
B.
You'd think, given the area, this place would be yet another presumptuous English pub that are self-proclaimed 'craft beer-enthusiasts'... they really do have a fantastic selection of craft brews and fridges full of amazing bottles and cans. Not to mention (despite being a bit precious) the food did not disappoint. All around great place to try some decent beers and have a good meal. Good stuff!
A. G.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This has been my favourite pub I've visited in my 3 weeks in London. The beer selection is great, extremely interesting, and very reasonably priced. My burger was great, a perfect beer accompaniment. And the Sunday live folk music made for an amazing atmosphere. Ill be back for sure.
w. t.
Quite frankly atmosphere. Good for brunch stuff. Love their collection of craft beer. Been there many times with my love and every time get some new beer to try. Thanks guys for ur efforts
G. T.
Clive still has to convince me that this is the venue which did not open on a bank holiday Monday some years back when we schlepped to Pimlico... but then I would have never seen the interior until today.
Burgers? Is that it?
Conservative cask ale, Polly's keg suited palate.
Thomas Crapper features, for those who appreciate the relevance.
G. A.
The beer was a little warm for my tastes had salopian oracle, but overall a good range and friendly service.
N. M.
Nice little neighborhood pub near our vacation rental. Great beer/ale selection as well. Very limited food menu consisting of burgers in various forms but that is a good thing as they are prepared and presented well. Extra love for the veggie burger (with halloumi cheese) - simply delicious!
C. D.
Awesome bar! I mean, there are a lot of great bars in London, but this one... This one has one of the best selection of independent beers I have seen so far.
The selection often changes which makes it a great reason to come back.
An other reason to come? The chicken Cajun burger! Best chicken burger ever!
And finally, located in a quiet area, it’s really pleasant to sit and enjoy your beers outside
A. M.
Had a great lunch here. The burgers are just excellent, with a really generous portion of lovely fries. Prices fair for this area.
The ales and beers are just fantastic. About 10 cask ales on, lots of keg and fridges full of bottles from all over the world.
Cask ales fairly priced for this area. Kegs and bottled beers could be a touch cheaper.
But well worth a visit. Recommended.
L. H.
Great range of beers, super friendly staff and you can also get a real good burger here. If you like beer, get a few friends down. Gets busy, so maybe book ahead.
F. L.
A delightful find upon my lunch time walk in the area. The beer selection is excellent, service is great and ample of seating areas. I will visit again.
A. S.
The place for people who love beer and truffle fries. You’ll find amazing imports, hella strong and delicious sours and a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Tip: you can ask for extra Parmesan on the fries. Perk: sit outside and it’s dog viewing heaven.
S. V.
An establishment that welcomes with open arms, friendly staff, and fresh beer. The bar has a dozen cask lines, a handful of taps, and a broad bottle selection. The kitchen selection is a little less expansive, and has good burgers on offer.
Although closing time is 2300, you may want to pick up cans or bottles to take away before then; the coolers with the take-away selection close earlier.
D. R.
Great choice of beer and proper beer drinking atmosphere here. Burgers look very ordinary but don't worry, they are very tasty.
W. F.
Amazing selection of beer. Great food and service. We went here every night on our cousin
Visit just because the service, variety and quality was so good.
M. A.
Took us too long to realize you have to order food at the bar... given that we were 1 of 2 tables seated in the restaurant you’d think the staff would mention that at some point? Ah well. Burger was decent and they have a good list of craft beer.
C. F.
Rather nicely decorated pub hidden away a little inside a plain red brick building.
Good selection of food and drinks; very friendly service.
Had some chips, which were very nice and the portion was very generous.
M. L.
Lovey little chic French bistro, relaxed atmosphere with a small but varied menu and good wine prices.
D. F.
100% pure awesome. One of the 1st dedicated craft and cask beer places to open in London as part of the ‘forward’ thinking wave of 21st century drinking establishments. Legendary. Not to be missed. Been drinking here for a decade!
J. (. H.
I love this pub and the people behind the bar, great selection, great team and perhaps the best atmosphere in London. Cheers!
S. S.
If you like pies and love real ale you’ll be in pie beer heaven here. There are no lagers on draft or in bottles that are even remotely palatable though, and other than burgers and pies there really isn’t anything else edible on the menu. Friday staff are always on the ball however and, though limited, everything on the menu is proper quality. Get some decent lager in and you’ll get five stars!
J. H.
As excellent as ever I'm pleased to say. Excellent choice of beers. Amazing burgers and great chips (ask for extra crispy for added enjoyment!).
Most of all the nicest staff you could wish for.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
W. W.
Great staff and a fantastic beer selection. Where else could you get Other Half on tap????
A. S.
Nice little neighborhood pub near our vacation rental. Great beer/ale selection as well. Very limited food menu consisting of burgers in various forms but that is a good thing as they are prepared and presented well. Extra love for the veggie burger (with halloumi cheese) - simply delicious!
R. F.
Great staff, great drinks, great food and a lovely ambience. Best place in Pimlico, and worth making the effort to visit.
B. P.
Excellent range of beers and nice staff. Not much choice for non beer drinkers
J. B.
Great beers and friendly staff, good chatting to the locals. I didn't try the food so can't comment but it looked pretty good.
D. K.
Loved it. Great beer selection and as someone who doesn't actually drink beer usually, the midnight bramble was wonderful! Great atmosphere and staff is super friendly. We got the cheeseburger and the chicken burger and it was all delicious, wanted to go back for Sunday roast but it didn't work out.
A. G.
Clean, fresh, easy to like. On trend good beer selection cask and bottle friendly barman. Would visit again.
m. m.
Only my second day in this part of London. I finished work a few hours early today so decided to stop by. Unfortunately, I stopped by at 3:15 pm. The kitchen didn't reopen till 5. Glad I stuck around. A huge selection of beer and spirits and the burger was delicious. The serving staff were just as lovely. Thumbs up...
T. T.
Friendly staff, excellent quality beers with a carefully-chosen selection. Ask the staff for recommendations. They’re like the librarians of beer.
C. J. G.
Cool little craft beer pub. Nice decor with outside seating. Helpful staff and very nice food.
L. M.
Love this pub, amazing beer selection and staff helpful and knowledgeable
A. S. L.
Great place with a wonderful selection of beers and nice burgers too
R. D.
Amazing craft ale place, big lots of tables, lots of taps, cask and draft. Food is good. But on the expensive side both the food and beer. Particularly the strong stuff.
M. M.
We really enjoyed our evening at Cask; great beer, a lesson in cask ale, Irish fiddling, and good food. Good times.
한.
Come here to have Sunday roasts! Don't forget to drink great beer as well. It's quite calm and cozy. I heard that there is live music on Sunday. I'll go again because I haven't listened to live music there.
M. H.
Amazing craft beer pub that does great pork pies & good burgers. Knowledgeable staff. Great manager. Not a great fan of the decor but you can't have everything
J. C.
Nice pub with a large selection of craft beer. Sunday roasts look amazing here
A. P.
Great pub! Always come here with my partner for a drink. Nice beers which change often so you get to try a variety. The owners and staff are friendly and nice and know their locals like friends! Not a traditional pub vibe, but a lovely one and worth going. Cask wont disappoint :)
A. M.
Excellent range of cask and keg ales . I would certainly suggest sticking to half pints and having a good sample of all the ales on offer or many as you can 😆. This place gets quiet packed but the bar staff are very efficient at getting your orders through quickly. I would certainly visit again.
M. S.
Always a decent selection on tap which rotates regularly. It is a bit pricey though, even for craft beer. I haven't seen a pint for <£6.50. The food also is expensive, a burger can cost £14 without chips!
B. D.
Really great pub. The range of beers is really fun and the food is delicious. All combined with a cool venue and friendly staff makes for a great evening with friends
M.
Sour beer!
Make group reservations, it gets busy even on weekday evenings.
Great atmospheric, plenty of seating and helpful bar staff! I enjoyed the cherry FLIPA sour which tasted like passion fruit rather than cherry, luckily I like both. Prices are reasonable for good selection of sours.
They have live music (acoustic folk sessions) on Sunday 4.30 to 7.30pm, I haven't had a chance to check thy out but it sounds fun.
We didn't try the food yet, but it looks good.
You CAN make reservations, which you should if you're coming with a bigger group.
S. B.
Great selections of beer. Friendly staff.
L. S.
Nice spot & the Green Mountain IPA was excellent (a bit like Orkney Brewing Co's Island Life).
R. G.
A wide array of beers available. Impressive and rotating tap and so many sold by the bottle. Glen, the floor manager, is a very knowledgeable guy and will patiently take you through all they have to offer
R. L.
This is a great place for people who don't want the average beer, they have such a selection to choose from. The staff are very friendly and they will help you choose the perfect beer. I have lived in Westminster for 5 years and I can say you will not find beer like this sold in anywhere in the area so if you like beer then go here.
d. b.
Excellent beer range, not a pretentious crowd, either
D. L.
OK beer, not the best I've had, but I believe they have good turnover, so may just have been what they had on the day. Best burger I've had though!
R. I.
Fantastic pub, light, airy, out door seats albeit on roadsides. The beer choices were brilliant and perhaps without intention most of the casks were vegan which was amazing for me!
M. V.
Lovely selection of craft beers, a bit too noisy inside, but it does have a few tables outside
T. J.
Great gastro pub. Ideal for Sunday Roast and close to Highbury and Islington station
A. B.
Fridges full of all sorts you've likely never come across before, although what they have on cask and keg is plentiful already. Few places like it in SW1. Staff will happily talk and let you sample what they've got to meet your taste.
P. N.
If you're serious about beer this is a mecca. 10 ales and 15 kegs, no big brands, lots of niche beers, and around 300 bottles. Yes there's wine but that's not a reason to come here, you need to love beer.
A. B.
Been here a couple of times, love the conversation about beer! Especially after starting with "I'm from Oregon" Benjamin Franklin would certainly be proud it's like international liaison kind of stuff, talking about beer that is…
R. P.
Very nice bar, with decent ale & plenty of nice seating options inside & out.
B. C. S.
Big beer selection. Nice local pub.
A.
Great selection of very tasty craft IPA.
A. J.
Really interesting selection of beers. Possibly too interesting so take care. They'll let you try something before you order it. Take advantage of that.
A. P.
An excellent selection of beers. The draft beers were well kept. The service was nice and friendly although slightly slow both to order and for the order to arrive.
g. e.
Great selection of beers, good food and fair prices.
S. T.
Superb staff and range if beers . Just not used to London prices 😉
D. G.
Not my cuppa tea personally, good selection of real ale, only one cider on tap
Be careful if using the gents as the steps are as soon as you walk through the door , nearly fell down them as no signage
J. f.
Great venue, awesome beer and very friendly and knowledgeable staff, 100% recommend.
C. M.
A great little bar with a rotating selection of craft beers, but price is a little too excessive to merit a five-star. Didn't eat here - again due to prices - but service is really good, with a great ambience.
c. l.
Fun place, burger was good and they have a good beer selection
P. W.
Loved it. Great beers and a really kind super smiley barmaid.
s. a.
I am not a beer lover but this pub has a big selection or beers. Great for boys night out. Nice comfortable chairs . However Ive had a great time meeting with friends there
B. S.
Excellent beer, friendly people, good food.
G. P.
Wonderful to see this establishment up and running again. Staff very attentive to the outdoor service.
T. S.
My family had a big brunch here, and I have to say, the overall experience was excellent! The ambience was nice, the food was great, but personally speaking, the service was the best part! The place was really busy, so we had to wait in line for a bit, but the host was so warm and welcoming, and the waitress who were with us was so nice and friendly, he made us feel so welcomed here. Highly recommend this place!
H. G.
Well this is a well hidden little gem. You'd never think it was a well considered craft beer pub from the outside and on the inside it's a surprise too, with modern furnishings. Staff know their stuff and will guide novices around the large selection of beer. They also cook...clue in the name...and do nothing other than good quality basic grub at reasonable prices. It's going to be a regular visit for me...
C. B.
Excellent beer selection. Finally got to try the Siren breakfast stout that I'd been after for a while. Under renovation.
G. M. S.
What a selection of beers! Was a bit overwhelmed but that Imperial Stout and the Coffee Oat one they had on tap was excellent. Will come back!
S. C.
Excellent beer selection and tasty burgers at good prices, beer isn't cheap but it's awesome quality and great selection from international brewers. Topper!
K. P.
Excellent place fantastic cask beer and great food in a great little place in London. Xx
C. S.
Brilliant place to visit if you are looking for a comfortable and stylish atmosphere and a great selection of IPA's. We had a meal there as well and while the selection may be simple, the quality was absolutely outstanding, an incredibly satisfying burger and chips.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. It's one of those places that you can happily curl up for an evening and enjoy some conversation.
M. K.
Great pub. Amazing choice of craft beer and ale. Great staff and love entertainment on a Sunday
A. H.
My favorite pub in London, always with a good offering of beers both on cask, tap and bottles. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
If visiting on a day with good weather there is a small outdoor seating that is nice.
A. F.
1st visit back to Cask since Lockdown. It's lost none of It's charm. Quality beer and burger.
t. b.
Great selection of beers, including real ales, which were in very good condition. Recently refurbished and a selection of snacks available, including about four different types of pork scratchings. Other half said they have a very impressive Ladies' too. Definitely worth the stroll down from Victoria Station 🍺
R. H.
Awesome pub. Burgers are very high standard but it's the beer maaaaan. Wow, the selection is an ever changing whirlwind of the best in craft plus they always have some great oddities in the fridges. The staff really know their beer too and are happy to advise and chat beer. The space is straightforward: loads of tables and chairs, tiny outdoor space in the sun and a great atmosphere.
J. S.
I love this place, try to visit them every time I am in London! Good choice of craft beers, close to Victoria station. It is the best place to visit before you catch a Bus to the airport. Be careful though, once they had promotion for bottles to go and we almost missed our flight... oh and on Sundays they had life music and great lunches
I. B.
Great choice of beers that are regularly changing. Welcoming pub for both regulars and visitors and certainly far above the average venues and Ideal for the real ale affectionado. The weekday meal is a variety of burgers and worth considering by those looking for a better than average burger (or on Sundays a roast dinner). This place is an experience in itself and I would heartily recommend it to both the local and those visiting the area.
M. M.
Great atmosphere and phenomenal craft beer selection. Always very busy here, so if you get a seat - savour it!!
They do top quality grub here for a very reasonable price. They apparently have one of the best Sunday roasts going but I’ve missed it every time as it can sell out quite early. If you are in the area on a Sunday do try it!
The staff are very knowledgable and there is live music and discount on take-out beer too. All in all a great gem in the heart of Pimlico.
C. G.
Great beer selection of ca. 30 different types. Their veggie burgers come with tasty haloumi cheese and a very nice sauce. It was however very noisy and hard to hear others due to the poor acoustics. Apart from that recommended.
A. B.
Popped in for some food and beer on a Monday night and it was very busy. Good selection of burgers and amazing number of beers to try. Would take you quite some time to try them all. Owner was very approachable and had time for a quick chat even through it was busy. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
B. N.
The staff here know how to stock, look after, and provide, a good range of beers. Some of the Belgian and US imports were a little bit pricey, but I trust this bar is working on slim margins.
Once you take into consideration ground rent, import and alcohol taxes, plus the paucity of customer interest in some of the more unusual products, it is clear the owners are brave souls.
I drank four or five different geuzes and sour beers. Every one was delicious, and I am glad places like this exist.
R. B.
Great burgers, can actually taste the beef. The onion relish was too notch too.
D. B.
Great selection of beers from Cask, from "normal" tap or from the fridge. 30% cheaper if you take them home. Relatively close to tube. Quiet area. Outside seating possible. Nice staff. Didnt eat here.
A. C.
Easily my favourite beer venue in London. It's a great bar with an amazing selection. Great stuff from around the UK, Europe, and even some hard to get stuff from the USA. The staff are really cool. They're not only happy to talk about the beer they also know their stuff. If you're a beer nerd make this a must visit when you're in London. If you're a local I envy you.
M. P.
Craft beers and gourmet burgers was what attracted us over for a dinner and drink. The immediate impression is that the place is small, packed with tables as well as people, and therefore extremely loud. We took a quick decision to have our food and beer quickly move on somewhere else where we could talk comfortably.
There’s a decent selection of non-typical beers and the ones I tried certainly had more interesting taste then the regular ones in most pubs. Unsurprisingly, these also cost significantly more than others. The burger menu was rather short, and while the ones we tried were decentgood meat, solid but not overwhelming bunsthe taste combinations weren’t too creative either, nor was their taste all too distinct. The chips should’ve stayed in the fryer a little shorter.
Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Overall would’ve been a good place to come back to if it weren’t for the extreme noise.
R. R. A.
I love this place. Their milk stout is my favorite.
K. G.
Lovely pub. Very relaxed. Nice selection of ales
K. R.
Great selection of ales , good atmosphere and service. 👍
S. T.
Been there on 2 occasions now. I really like it and the 2 people I have been with enjoyed it as well. A larger than usual selection of beers available from all over. Some can be as much as £10 so expect to pay, if you find a beer produced in small quantities you like on draught. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable to help you find what you like. There are lots of bottled beers as well. Food is kept simple, a range of burgers on the menu. That said, they are made as well, if not better than the highstreet chains you may have been too. Will be back again, a gem of a place if you want to try quality beers and simple pub menu.
C. H.
A 70s estate pub has been turned into Pimlico's best venue for a drink. There's a huge range of craft beers including some rare ones. There are always plenty of beers on cask and keg plus a huge range of cans and bottles, plus they offer takeout. Lots of tables so it's usually possible to get a seat even on a busy evening. Definitely the best pub in the vicinity
C. K.
We have been coming here for around 4 years now and it's the only decent craft beer pub in Public. They have a wide variety of cask, keg and bottle veer from around the world. The good is good too and they are especially generous with the Sunday roast. I would say that some of the pints have started to get a bit pricey but maybe that's just craft beer nowadays, the staff though are kind and generous with the tasters.
S. C.
Epic roasts, and one of the best beer lineups in London!
D. W.
It's funny how knowledgeable and friendly staff can make a bar great. They really know their beers and make some fantastic recommendations.
Apart from the beer they also had live bluegrass throughout Sunday afternoon.
The roast was huge, I was sweating after tackling the lamb.
All in all great friendly little pub.
D. P.
This is a good local pub for pimlico. Lively atmosphere but not overcrowded. Plus there is quite a bit of outdoor seating, which makes it a really great place on a summer afternoon/evening to grab a pint and enjoy the weather. On top of that, they have a very good selection of beers. Have had something different almost every time I've been!
J. L.
Great selection of beers and small but tasty predominantly burger based menu of food to help soak up the ale. Staff very knowledgeable of their beer.
K. H.
Always a lovely experience. Always a great choice of amazing beers to choose from. Always friendly staff willing to offer suggestions (and tasters!) if you’re struggling to decide. Also, the best chips in London!
R. P.
hands down the best burger I've ever had. Just superb.
Served with Stokes sauces, which I have become a fan of since trying them at Cask, would recommend the place just for those.
If burger is not enough, they have excellent beer selection (although most of it is quite expensive).
10/10 will definitely go back again!
T. M.
Great place to hang out and sample different styles of beers. The crew there is very friendly and helpful. The live folk music was a nice touch and the chips were great. Go early if you want a place to sit.
A. Z.
Nice place, many options for beer and ale drinks, live music. Hard to find an empty table.
C. K.
Had a lovely burger and chips here while meeting a friend for lunch. It can be scary going to a new pub but the atmosphere was friendly and the service was good. The look of the place was nice and the toilets were really clean and smelt pleasant. Overall a really lovely visit.
G. G.
Great modern boozer in between Victoria and Pimlico tube stations. Always interesting ales from small breweries around the country, always on good form. Good food, too!
M. L. C.
Great selection of beers, seating outside and very friendly staff. The only foods they have are these huge portions of burgers and fries.
D. D.
Young professional crowd, bright, lively. Good beer and cider selection. Great burger on our first visit, pleasant conversation on our second. Service is efficient. It did get crowded later.
R. F.
"The biggest craft beer collection in the UK" is written on the door. Might as well be true, with their HUGE selection from all over the world, and its many taps for kegs and casks.
What I admire most about the place is that it's single minded. They went for 2 things and made it perfect: Beer and Burger.
Their burgers are awesome. Never frozen, delicious.
That's why I bring everyone I know there.
C. S.
Great selection of beers both cask, keg and bottle.
Some people might think it's a little pricey but you pay the money for good quality beer. Yes, you can go to pubs and get beer for £2 a pint but it's not good beer.
Worth a visit if you're into your beers/ales.
Good burgers too
许.
First time to London, first time to be here in Cask Pub& Kitchen, me and my boyfriend love this place instantly, “ To the next ten and beyond!”
J. B.
Fantastic beer selection. The burgers are a 4/5 but the beer is a 6/5 so it all averages out to a very solid 5 stars. The beer list is just the beginning - there are so many bottles to pick from it is worth a conversation with the bar keep about what is new to try.
D. S.
Basically one of my favorite places in all of London. Amazing beers which satisfy both the cask and keg fans...and even some ciders and other things if you have a non-beer drinker in the group (although you should probably kick that person out of your group). Food is surprisingly good, although not exactly cheap for burgers.
S. B.
It's an oasis in this area, well worth a visit. A wide and changing array of both cask and keg beers. The menu is good, and portions properly large, but if you can make it on a Sunday, the Sunday roasts are very very good.
J. B.
Excellent place for beer! Good food too and a fun atmosphere. Not your traditional pub, which we love when looking for more craft beers! Very friendly staff.
A. G.
Great beer served by knowledgeable, attentive and friendly staff. What more could you want.
F. J.
Fantastic beer selection and good burgers. Staff is very friendly and will let you try the different brews if you have trouble making a decision.
The quality of the condiments is also better than average. Stokes ketchup and mustard to round out your meal!
J. W.
Flat-roofed pub with an interesting mix of patrons.
Undoubtedly great beer selection - and 33% off if you want to take away a can.
Food left something to be desired - menu consists of burgers. I ordered one called "heat" which came doused in so much hot sauce it was inedible.
Not a bad shout for a fairly barren area, but I wouldn't make a beeline for this place out of choice.
R. M.
Great pub with a great landlord. Has been our regular for 7 years now, and never fails to have a really good fresh selection of cask and craft beers. The burgers on the menu are very tasty especially with the bloody mary ketchup :)
S. F.
Really great selection of beers including well-kept draught ale, right through to the ultra-hip craft beers. Unpretentious atmosphere and what seems like a friendly crowd
R. M. S.
This place is amazing! One of the best beer selections in London, and a great atmosphere. Be cautious because they serve their pies cold, but otherwise, they're tasty.
N. W.
I love the Cask. It always has a huge selection of beers on tap, pump and bottle. The staff are very knowledgeable and know about all of the draught beers to give advice on what you might like, or just to chat about beer if they're not too busy. It does get full sometimes as it's such a good place but I've never had a long wait at the bar as a result, and there is some space outside as well.
Toilets are always clean too!
C. O.
Enjoyed a couple of delicious pints of Jarl in the sunshine on Saturday. Very friendly service and, of course, great beer.
L. B.
Fab location. Near Victoria and yet far away enough to avoid tons of tourists. Great range of beers to suit all pallets. Oasis in otherwise crazy busy area....it does get extremely busy on weekday evenings ....without any compromise in service fortunately. Looks a bit naff from outside, inside is clean cave. Often not enough seating or places to stand. Bottles pricey.
J. H.
If you love craft beer this is a great place to visit. A huge selection of ales and beers including some very rare and expensive bottles from Belgium.
Very knowledge staff and a selection of burgers.
The interior is fairly basic and seating is limited so book ahead or get that early on a Friday night.
I. E.
Good selection of beers but the environment is pretty average. I would give 3 stars but sitting outside in the evening is lovely; nice and quiet.
D. o.
Wicked pub in the heart of pimlico, good atmosphere and there's always a crowd in the evenings. To be fair they're quite pricey for food and drinks compared to other places in the area but it's what to expect when you try to make an effort. Also this pub has won a few awards so all in all a great pub to visit when your in the area.
A. M. (.
Great choice of draft beers. We had some in take away and the pints came in lovely containers rather than a single-use plastic cup!
M. H.
A great place for beer and burger, with friendly and knowledgeable staff.
There is a small outside seating area and plenty of tables inside.
They have over 30 draft beers with a selection that changes regularly and all I tried were fresh and well kept. Massive selection of bottled options from around the world, although I did not sample these.
Burgers were awesome, decent sized and chips (not those ridiculously fat chips seeming favoured in pubs lately, but proper crispy chips) included although they were around 12 quid. I tried the Cluck (brined chicken breast) - recommended.
Staff were knowledgeable about the beer (unlike in some pubs serving craft beer), and encouraged punters to try the beers.
Recommend a visit if you're near Pimlico or Vauxhall.
K. H.
Quite excellent selection of beers in taps and in bottles. Good burgers and on Sundays excellent Sunday roast. Also the place is bit more quieter tgan other pubs, which is only a plus for me who does not want to shout to have a conversation.
D. S.
Had a lovely time here. Holly in particular and the rest of the team were knowledgeable and charming. A good selection of draft, even better on bottle. Haggis (ball) bites delicious but looked like everyone else in the place had a burger! We'll be back; half an hour from Parsons Green is close enough for a great venue like this. Keep it up
A. T.
Cask is a fantastic pub. It has a great selection of beers on keg, cask and in the fridges. The staff are knowledgable too. One of the best places for craft beer in the Victoria/Pimlico area.
B. W.
Best burger (portobello mushroom and halloumi) than I've had in ages! Chips were crisp and golden. Yum! I had the AF sparkling elderflower to drink and it was a perfect accompaniment. Great to see a good selection of non alcoholic choices at a place that has a vast array of beers to choose from 😊
PS bonus point for KYUSS being played whilst we were there !
N. S.
Best selection of craft brewed beers in Central London. Great venue run by people that really know their stuff. They're also currently playing host to the mouth-wateringly delicious Forty Burgers pop-up. I've considered getting my pay check paid directly to my bar tab there for the sake of efficiency
M. A.
Great place for lunch and a pint.
Very nice selection of ales
J. W.
This is really in a place that you wouldn't expect. The beer choice is full of quirky options that you can try such as strawberry IPA. The front of the pub has chairs and tables which are in the sun all day. I didnt try the food, but it did smell and taste amazing.
S. K.
Probably the best selection of beers you'll find outside a beer festival, with something for everyone. I especially liked the selection of Belgian beers which were a bit more unusual than you'd normally find in a pub (if you are lucky to find anything at all).
Service and the crowd were friendly, might be worth getting there earlyish if it's the weekend and you'd like a seat though.
M. H.
I've been a fan of The Cask (and their other pubs) for a few years. There is always an interesting cask beer (or five) and a huge variety of bottles from around the world - you will never be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I can't recommend it enough!
P. T. (.
Huge choice of local and international beers (a lot of Belgian, German and American ones)!
There are probably around 15 beers on tap plus plenty of bottles, and of course you can taste the ones on tap before ordering.
The food used to be more varied but is now almost only burgers, but really delicious burgers (both the meat and the bread), try the Tiny one if you feel really hungry.
R. K.
Nice eats with an incredible beer selection. I found the area too open, and not private enough to have a comfortable drink. The food itself was quick out and tasted great, plenty of seats available (perhaps too many for a Sunday) and worth poping in on the way past.
S. Z.
"Taste the beer, order the one you like & have a good time." Thats my experience! The service is friendly & I was well advised. My tip, try the house chips with bloody mary sauce, it's almost perfect. The prieces vary from 3 pounds to 10 pounds per beer, dependents on the drink u prefer.
M. W.
Cask has had a face lift: the lighting is no longer dismal, and the general decor has been upgraded along with it. Seems to be bringing the (no longer just middle aged) punters in as a result. Beer outstanding as always
N. C.
Lots of great beer in cask, keg and the fridge. Staff were great, helping to navigate through all the wonderful beers. Plenty of seats to choose from, and nice and busy, so lots of atmosphere
M. W.
Met a few friends for a drink and dinner while visiting in London- YUM. The Cluck was my choice, chicken sandwich with perfect balance. Bartender was very friendly, I love to try new beers from the region I'm visiting that I can't get in the States and he made some great suggestions. I'm definitely bringing my travel buddy when she gets here in a few days!
J. M. P.
Maybe I came in a particularly awesome day... 12 beers on tap from Anchorage, Alaska that were simply hitting the spot. Bar staff knowledgeable, and most importantly very happy to give tasters to make up your mind.
Then shared a Burger, which was slightly dry but combined with Sauce and fries it was still great.
Only downside is that it was quite full, so finding a table was a bit of a stroke of luck.
S. P.
One of the best craft beers selections in London, you can't go wrong with any of their offerings. Food is great too. Bacon dust fries are something truly unique!
S. N.
I visited s few weeks ago, having lived in the area since this bar opened, to see what the hype was about.
Yes, they've got a good range of beers, the staff are reasonably friendly and the burgers are tasty.
BUT the place lacks atmosphere, and the prices are a bit over the top.
I can't afford to spend around 20 quid for a burger and a pint too often - I certainly wouldn't go for a session at these prices.
A. B.
Nice beer selection for good prices. The place looks quite modern so it's not exactly my style of pub. And, of course, it gets pretty loud when crowded...
s. p.
Putting aside the fact that Imelda Staunton put her head round the door but didn't stay, this is a great pub. A wide selection of interesting brews and pleasant burgers. On the downside they do run out of pork rinds really often.
a. a.
I had lovely Sunday roast (I god beef) the other day with friends. They all liked the food. Pleasant atmosphere and good drinks. I will try their hamburger next time. :)
M. W.
Not a great fan of the area but stumbled across this bar whilst going to meet a friend and wow, what a great selection of beers! All your usual great IPAs, stouts, lagers and other worldly delights. Superb!
R. G.
Top pub near to Victoria but hidden away in Pimlico so it loses all of the tourists. Its mostly local office workers. Excellent beer selection. Simple food menu of burgers only, all of which are good. But be warned its beer is pricey.
C. C.
A fantastic selection of high quality craft beers from around the world. If you are looking for somewhere to take a Hop-head this is it.
The food is decent as well although I have never dared to try the Elvis Burger (Peanut butter, bacon and banana).
M. N.
Great selection of ales with good food.
You will be spoilt for choice with the number of great tasting ales on tap and in bottles at this pub. I tried the 5 hop and apricot infused ales. Both refreshingly new in their own ways, highly recommended.
I shared one of their pork and black pudding pies which was delicious, although perhaps not quite worth £4.50. They have a very interesting selection of burgers, I tried the Elvis which is a 40 day aged beef patty served with peanut butter and banana. It worked and was an interesting combination with the patty, served with skin on chips and a selection of Stokes sauces.
It was a great evening, although a team from Google turned up and dominated the bar for almost 40 minutes, which made it slightly frustrating to get a refill as there's no table service.
J. S.
If you want a good selection of beers to drink then visit here. A dozen taps serve cask and keg ales and beer, and there´s also a huge selection of bottled beers! Some will be expensive but then again it´s the selection that you´re probably looking for. Good pub grub... mainly recommended for the selection of beer though.
S. G.
Great place if you know your beers (or want to get to know them). They can help you find the right beer for your mood and taste while being super friendly. They also serve great food.
P. G.
Excellent beer choice and tasty food. The original Craft Beer Company pub and has still got one of the best choices of beer in the capital. Thoroughly recommended!
C. P.
Without a doubt, the best pub in town. Amazing selection of beer, lovely knowledgeable staff, and very guide dog friendly.
B. S.
Great selection of beers and at a reasonable price for Central London. They offer takeaway beers too.
Don't underestimate this unassuming place, it's the best joint to get beer in Pimlico.
R. D.
Despite the challenges of operating under Covid restrictions, Cask continues to offer a great range of interesting beer and very addictive burgers.
W. C.
Best pub in Pimlico. Great beer selection in bottles, cask and draft. Friendly staff, lots of seats and very good food.
It can get busy with the after work crowd but other than that I can't fault it at all
Edit: updated my review to remove misinformation about the last call bell!
A. C.
Superb beer selection and an excellent menu of burgers and other pub favourites. Popularity means it can get a little busy and noisy at peak times but it's only testament to the fact they're doing something right. A million miles away from its previous life as the Pimlico Tram!
B. M.
Great drinks, friendly staff, yummy burgers!
R. P.
I've been coming to this pub for a fee years now. It's great to see the Brits jumping on the craft beer band wagon. As an American we are overwhelmed with over hopped, flavored rubbish beers. The Brits take a classical approach to building in fantastic old style brews. The Cask Pub is a showcase for lots of them!
D. O.
Great little craft beer bar/pub tucked away in the back streets of Pimlico, with a good range of cask and keg beers. A bit pricey, but great if you want to try a few different beers.
M. H.
Great place for dinner and drinks. I wanted a tomato on my burger and they went to a store to buy some just for me :)
I liked the lights camera action beer and the cider.
Nit: ambience was a little too bright for a pub.
A. B.
A wonderful little pub, which offers a good selection of beers. The bar staff are friendly and the service is quick. Highly recommend a visit if you want to discover new beers.
E. S.
Always wonderful - I love this pub!
T. B.
A lot of great beers on tap. Great service. The prices are also pretty ok. I am going to recommend this place to my friends. I managed to buy a really rare american beer that haven't been able to buy anywhere else in Europe. I also tried a nice local brew from the kernel brewery in london.
M. C.
Always a great choice of beers at fair prices. The original Cask accept substitutes but always return.
T. F.
Truly fabulous beer and great burgers, though the establishment lacks character and coldly represents the waiting area at a bus terminal, but the beer makes up for it and I will eagerly go back again. Book a table though as it gets packed really quickly, which kinda says something, doesn't it?
M. C.
Wide range of ales and tasty burgers! I will be back definitely. 🙂
R. L.
Incredible beer selection and really delicious burgers. Well worth making a trip. The space itself isn't particularly 'special' but it's decent enough and when everything's so damned tasty who cares?
D. W.
I love Cask. To be honest you don't come here for the food (which is reasonable but certainly nothing spectacular) but I havent seen a larger selection of beers in London (and I like beer a lot). Loads of beers on cask, loads in keg and loads in bottles. It's very easy to spend a fortune on the imported US beers but equally easy to stick to UK breweries which are more reasonably priced. This place is a must visit if you have any interest in beer.
F. A.
:) Great beer and very polite service.
B. L.
Excellent pub. Great selection of beers: cask, keg & bottled. Limited but nice food. Pleasant staff. Beer priced by strength but still reasonable.
L. B.
Good beer but staff not as accommodating as other local pubs
S. H.
What a great find around the corner from our VRBO flat! Great selection of beers, including some familiar names from home (Lost Abbey, The Bruery). Helpful, super friendly staff and excellent pub food.
D. Q.
Probably the best boozer in London. A big claim I know, but the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the range of both cask and keg is excellent (and not wanky they’ll serve you a pint of anything you want, unlike some craft beer bars where they insist on only serving you a thimble if it’s over 6.5%), the atmosphere is relaxed and the burgers are top quality. What more could you want from a pub!?
R. H.
When did this become good again? Nice ambience, the beers speak for themselves, objective staff. If you're travelling from Victoria coach station stop here first. Strong takeout bottle game.
R. N.
They had a great selection of beers, including some great bottles. As an American who loves Belgian and American craft beers, I still just don't get the cask serving style. I've got to say, I've given a fair go. But these warm, under carbed, weak beers just don't do it for me. I tried two on cask which were alright, but didn't really get me excited. I gave up on the cask beers and a friend ordered a 750 ml Belgian style Saison brewed in Sweden to split, which was really nice.
G. T.
Great selection of beer. However, the burgers are nowhere near the quality they were a couple of years ago. The bread was dry and the taste ok. Slightly disappointing
D. O.
Forget about the craft beer and that amazing 7.5% cider that doesnt taste alcoholic, the burgers here are insane. Insanely amazing. I had the 'Heat', which was just the right balance of chili with the tasty meat and cheese, while the caramelized onions and pickled gherkins just topped it off. My sister's 'Elvis' burger was a daring combination of meat, peanut butter and banana but for some reason it worked so well! The staff here are so friendly as well, the chef made me my own personal pot of aioli when I asked for some and they didn't have it. Definitely is a hidden gem.
T. W.
Wonderful pub. Best pint in Westminster. Excellent Sunday roasts.
P. B.
I'm a traveller and have only been once but if you like a craft beer this place is great. They have a lot on tap and more in bottles. Will be going back to try more beers and the burgers.
A. M.
Easily one of the best specialist beer pubs in London. Particularly good for Mikkeler, which they tend to have a huge range of. The bacon dusted chips are a must to try. Decor is a little bland, but you're there for the beer not the art.
L. K.
Besides the beer selection that's superb, we had the bacon & cheese and the Cajun burger. The food was great - Cajun actually tasted like Louisiana and the parmesan and truffle fries were covered in Parmesan. You can tell - they put effort in what they do and they do it well.
Super!
D. L.
Been to this pub a few times and I am always impressed by the range of beer they have to choose from - very extensive list. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area, it's by far my very drinking hole in that corner of London.
S. M.
Lovely cool atmosphere on a red hot day with Quality beer. Thankyou 🍺☀️
B. E.
One of the best craft beer selections in London served by highly knowledgeable staff. Excellent burgers and occasionally live music as a bonus!
C. M.
Excellent range of beer, stout, ales and a decent food menu (although I wish it had a vegan burger option), still, our work's favourite place to go for any occasion.
M. H.
One of the largest selection of beers around, both cask and bottled. The cask ales are priced by alcohol percentage which I find novel.
It's quite a small place and can get pretty busy on a Friday night, but providing you're early enough to get a table that adds to the atmosphere.
S. B.
A great local! Not much outdoor seating in the sunshine so be prepared to sit indoors. Beer/cider selection unrivalled against anything in the area and live music Sunday evenings is great for a fun chilled evening
D. L.
One of the best craft beer bars in London. Their selection suggests a huge love for quality beers. The food is good as well.
O. B.
Very decent craft beer pub - really good range of beers on tap - more cask than keg with a good selection of beers you'll prefer by the half or third. Busy and relaxed atmosphere to boot
W. B.
Still one of the best beer venues in London! Superb ales - nice friendly crowd and great burgers
S. D.
I've got to be honest. This pub can be the right spot for all the "ale enthusiasts" out there, as they have many varieties which I haven't seen much before. Unfortunately, if you're looking for some good lagers, you're probably wasting your time here. Prices are above the average, but again, this is not a pub for everyone. This is a pub for ale's specialists.
N. G.
One for people who are seriously into their beer, but a much more pleasant experience than the average pub - light, airy, newly returned and also caters well for those who prefer a less hoppy beverage. Well located for public transport as well, with Pimlico, Victoria and Vauxhall within walking distance.
A. B.
A fantastic find in pimlico if you love craft beer. This is the grand daddy of the craft beer chain and although under a different name it still offers a fantastic selection on beers, be they bottle canned, keg or cask. They price their beers based on percentage of alcohol. So if you like strong beers be prepared to pay over £5 a pint!
The pub itself is very nicely laid out and they serve food as well. We went on a sunday and they had very tasty looking sunday roasts coming out of the kitchen!
T. S.
Amazing beer selections. Great atmosphere. Perfect place to experiment with beers.
M. L.
Huge selection of unusual ales (the clue is in the name ;-) the tropicana one I tried was really nice... not overwhelmingly fruity, just a complimentary hint of tropical flavour. Popular place for after work. Food looks good too, but I haven't tried.
K. L.
Based on the beer, we'd be close to five stars. But then my wife and I ordered burgers. Chips were pretty good. But the burgers, though having an excellent appearance, were pretty bad. Not sure if it was the beef or if they were overcooked. But we both had the same opinion. I've come back for the beer and perhaps the burgers would be better on second attempt.
B. B.
Decent place, entry fees and drinks are available at very reasonable price. Very neat and clean place. The interior is also so good. The staff very attentive and services is outstanding. Would love to visit again. Definitely recommend.
N.
I’ve been here hundreds of times. It’s the best craft beer bar in London. Sunday afternoons has live bluegrass music.
J. L.
As a local to the area, the cask's popluarity has it's positive and negative sides. On the positive side, it's much easier to persuade beer loving friends to come to pimlico now, on the negative, it does get very full in the evenings. Don't let the interior decor put you off, it may look a bit like a student union but the beer selection more than makes up for it and after a while you won't even notice. The staff are very knowledgeable and despite being talked down to on a couple of occasions, they are on the whole very approachable. The current residency from Forty Burgers is also well worth a visit, and they're still worth it despite being pressured by the council into no longer serving the burgers on the rare side.
J. S.
Cask was the perfect stopping point between the flat I rented in St. George's Square and the HomeAway UK offices I was visiting near Victoria station.
Situated nicely in a quiet neighborhood, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Solid pub food was a nice accompaniment to the extensive variety of international beers. The bartenders were helpful in explaining the differences among the beers and giving recommendations (and a couple samples). My favorite of the trip was a beer from Norway called Nøgne.
I will make an effort to revisit this pub next time I'm in London.
M. W.
Awesome pub, around 10 beers on handpump, 12 or so craft beers and lagers on keg and.. Allegedly 500 bottled beers in the fridges. One of the finest ale pubs in London. I believe it is part of the craft beer company, although carries a different name. If you are drinking near Victoria /Pimlico / Vauxhall, this pub is a must visit.
L. M.
Always friendly great atmosphere, great range of drinks on offer to suit most tastes. Live music on Sun afternoons. Only drawback is some Fri difficult to get a table if you just walk in as a lot of then have been reserved.
G. N.
Good beer selection but to run out of food on a Sunday lunchtime is just weird. At 1345 yesterday, all the meat options had gone. By 14 00, all the roasts had finished. It didn't look that busy either.
P. D.
The mother ship of an ever expanding chain. Some of the children are great, some not so great, but the patriarch still rules. Albeit pricy, she has an amazing array of beers, great burgers and there's always a good vibe. Shame that Rothhaus Pils has disappeared on draft though. Loved it.
T. A.
Great selection of Beers. Burgers and food taste good, albeit a bit overpriced imho. The burger is great. They get their meat from a local Pimlico butcher, I asked him for the same mixture to try at home and I was not disappointed.
i.
I have been regular for years! Very nice staff and always good service. Sadly they changed my favourite cider,,Present packer for boring cider.!so I had to go star down 😥
J. G.
Good beer but a bit of a victim of its own success -- so busy and quite small, it was impossible to get a seat (after work on a Wednesday) even after hanging round with a pint so we went elsewhere. Would try again though!
B. c.
Has Lillys on bottle. Can't complain
T. W.
Excellent craft been selection. Staff was very friendly. This pub is very busy, so your lucky to find a seat. A great place to stop on for a pint.
S. K. (.
The food was very good, but I wouldn't go with a big group again.
P. L.
Lots of choice of beers, and many very good ones. Careful though, the tap beers aren't priced by ABV like the cask beers so you might end up paying a lot more than you think. Snacks are very expensive too.
E. D.
Very friendly and accommodating staff but most importantly a good choice of beers.
A. V.
A great little pub in Pimlico specialising in craft beers. Also has some thoroughly excellent burgers and pork pies. Can get quite busy after work evenings.
T. B.
Incredible beer selection and really great burgers (though if you don't like those two things then this place probably isn't for you). Pretty loud inside when it's busy.
S. R.
Good beer selection. As the evening went on less was available on tap though. A bit of a wait for food. Had to go and enquire. But for a post work or lazy wkend drink I'd go again. Ambience was good.
H. M.
True place for various kinds of beer lovers! Atmosphere is also lovely
R. M.
Great beer selection, good food and friendly helpful staff. Also a nice varied crowd of customers and hidden from the tourists!
E. S.
Nice pub with a fantastic beer selection. Food was a little disappointing as the chips were a bit under cooked and my burger bun seemed slightly stale, but peanut butter and a fried banana on the Elvis burger is a mouth-watering idea
G. C.
As American tourist, this is a very nice modern pub. The have a strong lineup of beers including cask ales.
B. C.
Great place. Always busy with a good vibe. Friendly owners and staff. Burgers great. Beer choice always good and varied
I. G.
An unparalleled selection of micro-brewery ales - with 10 dedicated taps rotating regularly. In addition to those 10 there are a host of European beers (mostly Mikkeler), which are universally gorgeous. If none of those tickle your fancy there are over 100 beers in the fridges. Don't expect Heineken here.
Staff always happy to help you pick, and will let you sample so you can find the right tipple.
M. S.
Updating my review after a recent visit. It seems to be back on form. Has been refurbished and looks better, still has the same large range of beers and the food was good. Very busy when I was there but no trouble getting served.
D. L.
What a pub, have been coming here for years, a wide selection of beers on cask, keg and bottle. Yes it's expensive but the service and knowledge allow for that. Get there early if you want a seat, it's become very popular recently.
H. W.
Pretty good burgers, nice selection of beer. Is a little out of the way, but that's a good thing as it's not insanely crowded like most pubs of any quality in London.
S. N.
Overrated
Yeah it's got a big selection of beers but the food really ain't that great and the vibe ain't that cosy. It's alright. Ain't 4.5 stars though. Ps. Why did we spend an extra £1.50 for our chips to have a tiny sprinkle of Parmesan and truffles oil (which wasn't even on them)?
G. M.
Great atmosphere and selection of craft and imported beers. Bar staff kindly informed me that the drink I was ordering was quite expensive and allowed me to make a quick decision ordering something a bit cheaper.
K. P.
Great beer selection and friendly staff!
S.
Great beer selection. Burgers decent but a bit on the small side. Would recommend for anyone in and around Victoria.
P. H.
First time to experience Cask Pub & Kitchen in Pimlico and totally blown away with the amazing selection of craft beers, real ales and cider. Limited food menu of beef burgers, chicken burgers and one veggie burger.
K. B.
In a city dominated by homogenous Greene King pubs, this place stands out. They've got a nice selection of craft keg and cask beers, from throughout the UK and Europe, as well as a decent, but small, bottle selection.
G. J.
Great selection of real ales both on cask and keg, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Decor is ok but it's a listed building therefore it's difficult to change inside to anything fantastic. If you like burgers you'll like the food.
S. b.
Interesting selection of British classics and crafts on tap, nice fridge with more risky craft selection. Quiet venue good for after-work pints or a chat with a friend sipping good brews
B. L.
Massive selection of beers and ales. No music that you can hear and currently looks like it's in a state of redecoration. Decent food too, mainly burger orientated.
R. C.
Great and I mean great craft beer selection. They also do a great plate of chips, served on a baking tray. Consistently been good for many years.
M. M.
Great selection of well priced beers, normally a bit quieter than the other Victoria pubs so nice for a chilled out pint
H. B.
Frequently go here to catch up with friends. Table booking service is ideal as the pub is busy on all evenings. V.good burgers and the beer selection is phenomenal - staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.
G. W.
Just superb. Great beer selection, cask offering is excellent. Fantastic service and pork pies! What's not to like!
D. H.
This pub was near our airbnb and we loved stopping by on our way home! Very warm and friendly environment where the locals come. Great time!
C. C.
Lovely Staff and owner, the craft beer 🍻 is absolutely wicked
L. A.
Nice place with a good selection of beers. The staff are really friendly. It can get quite crowded.
B. R.
This place is amazing. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Cask for a beer (or five) and a burger. Everything about this place was great.
W.
Sat outside and watched the world go by. We drank some great beers and just loved this place.
R. S.
Great place with a great range of cask, craft & bottled beers. Craft can be expensive but the cask is reasonably priced, certainly for for the area, so good value. Limited range of good food.
M. L.
Popped in for a quick lunch. Great selection of beers . The only food option is burger and chips. The burger is great however the chips are amazing. Not bad value either
D. J.
Excellent food! Burger was cooked to perfection, and the selection of beer is brilliant. A great way to spend an evening :)
M. M.
The staff is absolutely wonderful. They know their beer and burgers. It's plenty of God beer bottles and cask\keg. 5\5without doubt
T. H.
We love the pub but this time was the first time we eat there ... to be honest it was very disappointing fish and chips very dry and very small portion for £15.., chicken roast served with almost raw vegetables over cooked potatoes and chicken dry. We will be back but not to eat
D. C.
Great beer and cider on tap and friendly staff, nice burgers, but where doesn't do good burgers, could be more original with the food. But great place to drink.
R. G.
My wife and I love this place. An amazing beer selection, the best staff of any pub I've gone to, and a fun relaxing atmosphere.
J. B.
Live music on Sunday evenings. Appalachian style.
T. J.
Why are they so stingy on the chips? If you can count the number of chips on your plate you clearly haven't given enough. And the burger buns look tescos value. Apart from that it's a nice place. Just make sure you not to hungry when you go.
S. W.
Best beer selection I have found in the UK. They have amazing beers, great burgers & a chill vibe.
R. R.
Excellent Beers, Great Burguers, lovely waitress
V. V.
Nice atmosphere and excellent selection of craft beers. Went on a weekend afternoon and there were a few musicians playing some music which was a nice touch.
J. S.
Quality beers! Perfect stouts!
S. G.
Fun engaging staff, excellent burgers, and incredible selection of beer! Literary the best brew we've enjoyed in London!
A. K.
I tried my first cask here which had hints of raspberry and marshmallow and was very good! If you like soirs, you'll enjoy! Really nice atmosphere and works! Highly recommend!
C. G.
Spent a few hours here when we first arrived in London. Fresh ale on cask and a very nice beer selection. Good service and good atmosphere.
C. L.
Great range of real ales supplemented by a line of steel fonts dispensing fashionable designer fizz.
Light and airy room with a 6th form common room feel to it. The building is a pig-ugly brick monstrosity but it's an attractive place to drink with helpful staff and the designer fizz drinkers can be tolerated.
S. B.
Really enjoy this pub. Always has a beer I want, food is great and the staff know their stuff. Very busy 5-8pm.
P. W.
Impressive traditional cask beer selection and tasty burgers. Beer snob approved. If you're hungry, try the Elvis for an unusual take on the pub burger.
A. B.
Amazing range of craft beers.
Best to go "off-peak" when this popular pub is quieter!
Main decor could do with update / refreshing.
K. V.
Amazing atmosphere, delicious Sunday roast, live music, great selection of beer and very friendly staff happy to help you with choice of beverage.
A. D.
Small modern pub restaurant good quality food and excellent service. Reasonably priced. Veggie burgers, and salads for vegetarians and plenty of variety for the carnivores in the family.
Z. R.
Excellent pub, it's a little expensive but for that you have a great beer selection, a d the food is really good
C. C.
A good selection of beers and great burgers if not a little on the expensive side. Well worth it and generally quite for lunch but busy in the evenings.
c. d.
Great beer selection. Burger patty was a bit overdone and dry but very tasty. Great chips.
B. T.
Burgers are excellent and the beer choice can only be described as overwhelming, staff are good and knowledgable. Great place can see why it gets the ratings it does :-)
T. S.
Great pub with an excellent and varied selection of ales, lagers, sours etc that changes frequently. Nice staff too.
F. M.
Another fantastic afternoon spent in Cask. So lovely to speak to Glen who is so knowledgeable about stouts & porters. Looking forward to a return visit soon x
R. M.
The finest selection of beers I've ever seen. As a bartender I also appreciate the helpful staff, they we're really Intelligent and knew about the beers on offer
M. F. (.
Stopped for a quick pint. A good selection of artisan beers. Good service.
g.
Interesting place for beer, (so good), but not a great venue. I don't think I'd go there for any other reason. It's a little bit like an old social club inside, but on the upside there's no jukebox.
F. S.
Burgers the size of both my fists. Some extremely bitter and extremely strong beer. Noisy enough to feel fun but not too loud to hear each other. What's not to like?
N. W.
Delicious Sunday roast 🔥
And many varieties of beer available
C. C.
Good pub with excellent range of beers. Helpful staff as well. Not too busy on a Friday night
V. D.
Super friendly staff, great vibe. The Parmesan chips are delicious! On Sunday evenings they have a bluegrass band playing.
M. D.
Great selection of beers you've probably never heard of! Nothing mainstream, and changed up regularly. The burgers are ace, as well.
L. H.
Beer selection mostly ok but they sell Ashai (beer made out of Rice = no good ) which is dubious for craft pub. Food was poor last few times i ate there.
J. W.
Had a pint and some onion rings. Friendly place, onion rings were pretty standard but came very quickly and it was a good sized portion.
J. B.
Feels more like a beer temple than a pub. The selection is superb but unless you're already a connoisseur you won't find any familiar brands. Pricey, too.
C. W.
Nice little independent pub. Friendly staff who let me and my friend try the beer before we bought it. Food looked quite nice too.
A. C.
A great place. Manager, staff and food all first class. Drinks selection one of the best and we will definitely be back.
A. B.
The best beer selection in the world served with average food.
Great atmosphere.
A. S.
Supreme range of leftfield real ales, keg and bottled beers w/ menu comprising (ace) burgers. Best boozer in Pimlico, but pricey and, at peak times, heaving.
L. S.
Great selection of craft beers both from cask and keg. Plus jawdropping amount of bottled beers. Food is great, atmosphere is great. This place is a must go.
A. F.
Great selection of well kept beers, quality burgers. I'm a repeat visitor when in London. Only minor niggle is the noise level.
S. G.
Brilliant craft beer pub (and cider... Cider is good 😜). Don't be put off by exterior, it has no character, just go in, order a beer and food and enjoy
C. H.
Stunning beer menu. Did not stick around to try the food, but what I saw looked good. Anyways, with craft beer like that, don’t need food!
B.
Great staff, awesome food, wonderful beers.
C. H.
Amongst the wilderness that is the Victoria/Pimlico independent pub landscape, the Cask is always, always, always super packed. I'd recommend the burgers here - just don't expect to get a table.
W. M.
Fantastic pub. Great selection of beers and ales. New drinks weekly. Always a new choice to be made.
A. K.
Outstanding selection of ales and tasty burgers. Sunday roast is usually until 4pm, but may continue while stock lasts
M. N.
The pros outweigh the cons here, but only just.
Beer selection is a terrific mix of cask, keg and bottle but the price, location and especially atmosphere all leave something to be desired.
N. M.
Great craft beer with friendly staff. Often busy on a Wednesday evening! No sport shown but no really that kind of pub.
T.
Sunday night is the best. Great beers and great live music. Even if you miss Sunday, the beer list and food is worth it alone.
R. L.
Lots to enjoy on the beer menu. This is a good hipster beard location and a warm welcome for everyone
L. R.
Good selection of drinks, food wasn't anything spectacular but was quite nice, i'd not send it back but i'd not give it a 10/10. Still a very nice place to go.
G. V.
Wide variety of beers and very good burgers, lighter options available. Nice staff but the prices are quite elevated.
B. D.
The best craft beer place I've found in London. Fantastic selection of European craft beer. A gem. And the food is good too!
a. g.
Bright and casual atmosphere with a spectacular beer selection. Staff was both knowledgeable and friendly.
D. B.
Excellent place if you fancy a brew. Also serves really good burgers.
O. K.
Great selection of quality beer. Prices are very reasonable, some super expensive fancy beers but most are normal prices
C. M.
This is the original craft beer pub in London and still one of the best, there's an incredible range of bottled beer and a wide range of cask and keg beers plus live music today.
D. S.
A fantastic selection of beers and a really great atmosphere. Absolutely worth visiting
D. K.
Always great food a beer with friendly staff. Only complaint is that they sell out of their Sunday Roast way too early...
W. D.
It has lots of incredible beer. If you are cheap just keep asking for tasters. The bluegrass night is bizarre and unwarranted - but not bad.
N. L. M.
Great choice of beers, great social distancing and service, good food. Visit recommended.
J. B.
Great selection of ales and craft beers, along with high quality burgers. Can get a little cosy at times, but well worth it.
C. D.
Great beer selection and great burgers. Always busy, but never seems to take too long to get a seat
D. H.
There’s a good choice of beer albeit slight more expensive than expected. Attracts a trendy/hipster crowd, can get very busy and noisy.
W. T.
Great beer selection and good atmosphere. Can get very busy on Fridays after work but that's expected.
D. V.
Very good Beer and decent Burger !!!
J. D.
really good pub, great selection and non beer drinks, but often feel their range of beers on cask could be more adventurous.
M. K.
Always a great place. Great selection of beer and excellent friendly service
D. H.
Good friendly knowledgeable staff. Bubbly and friendly atmosphere. Great variety of beers and ales and really good burgers.
S. J.
Great selection of beers which changes frequently. Serves food (mostly burgers) but recommend booking a table as it can get busy.
S. T.
Fantastic range of excellent beers, both bottled and on-tap.
The place can get very busy, and the wooden floors mean that it gets very noisy.
R. D.
Really impressive burgers and a great selection of beers and ciders. Service was fairly quick and the atmosphere was nice.
E. B.
Excellent range of beer, great food the best chips worth a visit just for them.
D. D.
A really great selection of craft beers and imported ales. Food is decent too, and bar staff friendly and generally knowledgeable about the beers.
A. N.
Great range of beers, some a real taste challenge (in a good way). Helpful staff of you are finding choosing a problem. Always busy
L. K.
Really nice bar. Large selection of beers (cask and draught), friendly service and decent food as well. Recommended.
M. L. S.
Great selection of craft beers. Bit limited the choice of food as only burgers are available.
A.
Pub accogliente e ottimi burger e birra!
The pub is cozy and very kind staff! Juicy food and lovely beer!
Surely I will come back when I am in London again.... Hope soon!
Ciao
M.
Huge selection of craft beer and ales, great food too. Decent area outside for seating and standing, always busy.
D. G.
Great place for burgers and Beer! Abundant selection of beers for every taste. Great service too.
N. A.
Friendly staff in a warm pub. Fantastic selection of beers on tap, and plenty of advice to help you find the right one for you.
R. B.
Strange cross between a luxury gentlesmans hamburger establishment and a bar...its a bit pretentious with its craft beers and supercilious feel...and somewhat expense to my mind...the hamburgers were big...too big to be eaten as they should be with your hands and maintain an aire of decourem...all very macho...the outside space is pleasant....but the place is full of faux odd people its a bar not really a pub..and not for me
L. L.
Amazing beer selection, although a pint can be pricy! Cosy with a good mix of seating.
A. V.
Super friendly bar staff, great selection of beers, awesome Sunday roasts. Highly recommend
J. Z.
Great time with the wife and great people working here. Enjoyed this place! Good beer and good times.
J. W.
Nice atmosphere, a lot of different beers and tasty burgers.
Will come back to enjoy the pub.
A. K.
It is glorious. Great beer and great staff. They could do more to look after their beer in the heat.
F. W.
Wide selection of high quality beer. And while not an outstanding burger it is one of the best pub burgers around.
J. T.
True to promise, they have the best selection of beer I have seen thus far in London. Friendly staff as well!
J. H.
Great pub with excellent range of beers. Tables and seats at a premium though, due to popularity!
J. (.
Fantastic pub for real ales and welcoming staff, a true London gem
I. L.
Very nice place to have dinner or just to take a beer. Attenders help us with everything when we try to order and the burger that we ate was delicious
S. D.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff, delicious truffle and parmesan chips, and beer and choices are brilliant, and well priced.
G. B.
An entire fridge dedicated to the best Belgian beer. What's not to love? The cask selection was very good as well
C. P.
Amazing range of ales / beers / bitters / stouts, and very nice burgers to boot also! 🙂
S. B.
Great beers and food. Although pricy for my tastes, still pretty reasonable for the area.
R. V.
Great selection on the taps, even better in the fridges and staff that know their pours.
P. D.
I loved the beers, I had the Rothaus wheat beer and the halloumi and Portobello burger it was very good and chips were amazing!! Recommended.
R. K.
good atmosphere and a wide variety of beers. not much seating outside, but A/C inside. I will be back!
M. M.
Great as always. Something about the Cajun chicken burger that you just can't replicate in any other burger joint. Friendly staff, always a delight!
I. Q.
Lovely pub with friendly staff. Massive selection of ales, from IPAs to fruity beers and some lovely smokey beers.
M. K.
An absolute gem of a pub. Incredible selection of beers, fantastic food and amazing vibe. Can't ask for more!
I. A.
Modern Pub , comfy seating, we went there it was winter so we didn't try the outdoors area
Get a bit busy after 5 from offices around
J.
Good selection of beers although it is expensive. Comfortable seating, not too cramped. Cosy inside in the winter.
F. T.
Great burger, great selection of beers (including Rothaus, a German favourite) on tab, and really friendly staff. Great find
G. C.
The burgers are high quality meat, so not the traditional burger taste. Ample seating and great drinks.
P. M.
Popular bar with a range of beers, but on an early evening visit, we found a vast majority of tables were reserved.
A. H.
Superb selection of real ale, a huge number of interesting bottled beers too. Nice food too; only downside is the expense.
S. H.
Great beers and food. Friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
R. J.
It is a good place, good service and selection of beers. Pretty expensive though
W.
Way above average. The beer was well kept and each one superb. Food very good too.
F. P.
Very very very good burgers. Great range of beer choice. (Expensive beers but it's London...)
J. Y.
Amazing beer selection and great burgers. The Heat Burger is a favourite, but be warned: it'll make you sweat!
N. M.
Best chicken burger I have ever eaten. Pale ale is pretty great too. Fantastic. Go.
N. W.
Fantastic selection. It was bustling with people. A lttle difficult to spot from the outside approaching from Vauxhall Bridge road. Has some seating and standing areas.
G. B.
Good food. Great beer. One veggie option nothing for vegans. Kinda sad about that. But the beer makes up for it.
A. M.
Vibrant pub with a wide selection of beers and cask ales and bar team on hand to advise. Dennis Hopper IPA recommended!
M. F.
Great atmosphere. Incredible beer. Staff are charming, helpful, and an absolute pleasure...
A. B.
Amazing selection of beer, great burgers and a lovely quiet atmosphere
