I really enjoyed my occasional visit to the Diogenes the dog the other day! Lovely place with nice decor and lots of plants. Had a nice chat with and great wine advice from the sommelier. Tried orange and red, both were delicious! Definitely coming back for some more adhoc wine tasting sessions! The area felt a bit unsafe after the sunset though, was happy to catch the bus back :))

Very nice wine bar with tapas. It's a good place to be adventurous and try wines from regions you've never tried before. The staff were all very friendly and attentive.

I had a great experience at Diogenes the Dog. Never have I experienced such an eclectic collection of wines, and I greatly enjoyed everything I tasted. Our sommelier was very knowledgeable on the wines, and constantly made recommendations that were a hit with our group! The restaurant staff were also very kind in managing an issue that arose and handled it with compassion. I look forward to my next visit to taste more wines!

DTD captures everything great about a European wine bar - very rare to come by, if not the only one in London. The space is beautifully curated, with an awesome range of wines from lesser known regions. The only thing that was better than the wines were the people serving them.

We took a table for 12 and had delicious wines and their option to have platters of food brought to us. Both the wine and the food was delicious and very good value. Hands down the best wine bar in London. From the concept, to the ambience; the service, to the wine itself - it is simply brilliant! They make wine accessible and enjoyable for beginners and for the experts, they introduce you to new and innovative regions and styles! The staff consistently make each visit a journey in itself. Incredible selection of wine. The staff is very helpful and I've been suggested incredible wines (do not disregard the sweet wines). The cheese board also hit a very sweet spot. Had a lovely time in an intimate spot.

Diogenes The Dog is an SE17 institution and is truly quite special. I've had romantic evenings here, taken family out for a relaxed drink and had wild nightswnights friends too. Every time the service has been impecable and the wine top notch. The team genuinely care about your experience and will go to great lengths to make sure you're eating and drinking to suit your tastes. Lots of fun. Insanely good value for money compared with nearby bars and pubs. Thanks Declan for looking after us !
