We organised our work Christmas Party here (in February due to Covid!). Sam and the team were excellent and looked after us! There is a great area upstairs that works really well for a private party. Food is also top notch - Pork Belly Bites for starter and Shepherds Pie for main are winners. THANKS EAST PUTNEY TAVERN!

Everything you would want in a pub. I was hoping this would be good as it's the closest to my house and it doesn't disappoint. Great vibe, great Sunday lunch and nice staff. Champion.

We had a great time, celebrating my 2yr old nephew's birthday. The staff were lovely, very friendly & attentive. The reason it's not 5 stars is because they had run out of some of the thing's we tried to order. Overall a lovely venue that we would happily book for another event.

Quite limited selection of beer, though they do have Timothy Taylors landlord on cask which is nice. Cold unwelcoming decoration and a quite upper middle class rowdy crowd on a Saturday night that seemed to enjoy standing in the busy main front room whilst there was seating in the rest of the pub. Drinks fairly pricey but to be expected.

Excellent venue and great staff! We used this venue for my mother's 60th birthday, and we had a great time. The food was very tasty, we had the kebab station, which disappeared pretty quickly 🙂 . I will definitely be cutting again to explore the rest of the menu, with a nice pint in hand. Thanks again EPT.

This pub has completely changed and we LOVE IT! Great atmosphere and stylish decor plus the staff are really lovely to chat to. I had the pork which was perfect and it came with amazing crackling!! My partner had the burger who said it was a "solidly good burg" and the desserts were sublime. The gin cocktails really blew me away especially the Putney Gin Fizz and the one with Basil in it. They also have an applewood smoking machine for their other cocktails which I thought was pretty cool. Also you can request biodegradable straws which I thought was a nice touch, will definitely be going back!

Amazing staff, always friendly and welcoming giving the pub something a lot of busy pubs don’t have. Atmosphere and a desire to come back because you know good times will ensue! On top of that it has a pub section, and a dining section and a beer garden so whether you are popping by for one, meeting friends for a few or would like a restaurant like service feel that is more low key. It doesn’t matter, it caters to all. Oh and if you think it couldn’t get any better…. it is puppy friendly! Upon entering you are almost always greeted by the manager Sams dog who welcomes all to this fine establishment with his waggy tail and happiness! 11/10👍🏼😤 highly recommend!!

This is the first place in London that I've seen serving ox cheek - wine braised as well! I'd never tried it before but having enjoyed pork cheek before thought it must be nice. It was incredible. Delicious. One of those meals you look back to and wish you could go back right now to have some more. Hearty, filling and lovingly cooked, I'd take a friend here to eat any day. Try the ox cheek, I'm serious. Also a plus for the nice variety of fun gin cocktails!

The staff are genuine and always attentive, cannot rate them highly enough. Food is consistently delicious, a great place for a meal after work. Unfortunately the beer leaves a little to be desired. Under par compared to local establishments, unsure if it is the selection or lack of line cleaning. If they can sort the beer it would be the best in Putney.

One of the best pubs in Putney - slightly out the way of the very centre but recently/modernly done up with great lighting and great interior design. Food is decent and the service is always very friendly/going out of their way on that front. Certainly worth the 3 min walk away from some of the more questionable central Putney pubs/bars.

I had a delicious steak here last night. It was made even better by the little jug of garlic sauce on the side and it was cheap due to their own Eat Out scheme extension. Friendly staff too. What's not to like?

Nice place, nice drinks. Food is average though, I ordered the burger. The waitress was polite however seemed to be a bit off: we had to ask three times for cutlery that came without knives and just one napkin for 3 people. I would go again for drinks

The beef is truly incredible. TRY IT. Our greatest stroke of luck was moving in next to this place. There's a proper steak house down the road that serves Argentine beef- it's good, I like it. But East Putney Tavern's steak is in another league- seriously- it is that good. It was also less expensive than I thought it was going to be, so that was just a bonus. Prompt and friendly service (flowers on our table just because they knew we were there for Valentine's Day), seriously exceptional food, not your average pub!

Hosted a leaving party here and reserved the "fish tank" area. Firstly the staff were amazing: friendly and very helpful in anyway they could. Secondly the food was top notch, everyone loved it. Finally, the min spend to reserve the area was low and the payment was straight forward as was the refund of the deposit. All round a brilliant venue, would highly recommend.

OK, so only three stars? Some of it might be our fault. But not all. We booked a group table for 8pm. One of our party was late. 1/2 an hour! certainly didn't order on time. The wine choice excellent and cheaper than expected. Our waitress was very good. The food should have been very good. Surprisingly so considering for Putney it is reasonably priced. But, it tasted like someone had upended the salt cellar on it. Not great. Did we say anything? No. We were a bit drunk and preferred to not say anything inopportune. When it came to order pudding we were informed the kitchen was closed. This was about 10pm.I have two issues with this. One: That's pretty early for an establishment that sells itself as a restaurant bar. Two: No one gave us warning that the kitchen was closing. Thanks for that. We tried to order coffee with our pudding but were told that the coffee machine had been closed at the same time as the kitchen. Your telling me that you run a late night bar and don't serve coffee? That's a first for me.

Ept has become a staple of Putney, and they are adapting super quickly to the covid situation. Plenty of tables spread across multiple floors and a lovely little sun trap garden. Good pub food and a great bottomless option on a Saturday- in particular I rate their roast dinner with unlimited veg very highly. Good selection of beers and cocktails always well made; the only negative is that it’s cold. So as long as you keep your coat on you’ll have a great time!

What a beautiful venue! Super cocktail list, and a great collection of bar snacks. The calamari, and salt and vinegar popcorn in particular were delicious and great value. Very keen to return to try their bottomless brunch. It’s spread over various floors and a mezzanine so it never feels to cramped. Dog friendly too.

Love it 😆 A great selection of beers, including a lager I've not seen elsewhere and is fantastic! A secret beer garden round the back. Seems like it's always bustling, moving to the beat of the District line station right across the road. I only wish there was more seating outside!

Just had a quick bite to eat here. Excellent sandwich options at lunch - the tuna melt was great and I've got my eye on the flat iron steak sandwich with fried onions for next time. We also tried the crab with crumpets and the jackfruit croquettes. Both fantastic. And at £4 for the tuna and the croquettes; it cant be beat. This place is going on my frequent lunch beat.

Love this place. There's plenty of bars and pubs in Putney but the majority of them are either Young's or quite pricey. When it opened, the wife and I thought we'd give it a try. We've been many times since with friends and it's great, it can get quite busy on the evenings and if there's sport on it can get a bit loud but it's still great. We've tried the bar snacks there (the Nduja Croquettes are awesome!) And they were great. Haven't tried a full meal but the food looks to be of a high quality. Guest ales that change regularly, the usual draught beers and a good atmosphere. What else do you need?!

COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER! I called ahead, late on a Sunday to ask whether I could still get in for lunch. After checking with the kitchen, I was told to come on down - and boy was it worth it! Really, really good food, perfectly cooked plate FULL of meat, veg and pototoes and incredible gravy. Gorgeous gal behind the bar even brought me some sausages and water for my dog. 4* as a bar as it has nice decor and decent drink selection and plenty space, 2* as a gastropub as you can definitely get better food in Putney. Went for brunch recently and the guacamole looked and tasted like it came out a tub, and the roast chicken looked like it had come from a pack from co-op. Most Putney places use top quality ingredients but sadly this place doesn't give that impression with the food we have had! If they make their own guacamole they definitely need to change the recipe. Have had fairly slow/confused service at times too but we put that down to new staff - hopefully it improves in time. A good addition to the busy Putney pub scene but they really need to up their game with the food!

Absolutely incredible meal tonight. We were enticed over by hearing hearing about their new steak ageing fridge. We shared 3 of their 45 day aged “cote de boeuf” cuts with sides included between 8 people. Not only was it more than enough for all of us, but for the incredible flavour of every single element (even the oven dried tomatoes) as well as how reasonable it was for the quality, is reason enough to go back. Roxie’s and Gazette have nothing on this place. If you’re in Putney and looking for a good steak this should be your only choice!
