The mood, the show, the service was of highest levels. We were a little pressed on time and the food is limited selection (matching the time constrains) but it is all balanced by truly amazing cocktails. I got this visit as a present and I was blown away. I definitely recommend this bar with the right expectations - come for a cocktail and ambient experience rather than for meal and long talks.

Just simply WOW! What an amazing evening! When you arrive and are ushered in by the mysterious American voice on the intercom and the scene is set. I won't spoil the mystery but you are then allowed to enter the atmospheric smokey "joint". You have a great selection of cocktails and they can make most of the classics that aren't on the list. This is backed with some amazing swing jazz from the 20's performed by a smooth tight band. The staff are so great and helpful, and Detective Peel was as beautiful as she was helpful.
Please please please do yourself a favour and go to this crazy place. You will not regret it, worth every penny! Enjoy it you filthy animals!

Lovely experience and wonderful venue overall! Delicious cocktails like daikiry and fun combinations! They had Elise Singing on Friday and live music made the experience even better

Evens and Peel Detective Agency is more than worth every penny. The atmosphere is beyond words, just walking into the place is an experience on its own. The food is delicious, and the drinks are to die for. Each is unique in its own way with a different flavor profile, though the Detective Peel is a personal favorite of mine. I would be here ever night if I could

You won’t find this place if you don’t know about it. It has no fancy signboard or neon lights. Just a tiny little door with the name of the detective agency.. I mean a bar.
Don’t expect to get there without a reservation. But if you do get in at all - you will be subjected to some thorough questioning by a detective - guy who looks like George Clooney, and another detective - a girl who reminded me of Harley Quinn from 1920s :)
They will actually question you, make some notes, and may be, if you are lucky, they will show you a secret door.
Behind it you will find an exquisite interior that sort of reminded me of a mixture of gangster-style speakeasy and… well Alcatraz :)
Now, the most important part - cocktails. They have quite a few, for different tastes. I tried 3 of them, all were delicious. I especially liked Detective Evans one - their variation of Martini.
For each cocktail the delivery is a separate, well thought through act. One of them they even serve with the picture of you!
For us, the cherry on a cake was a live music show with a piano, clarinet, sax and a guitar, which contributed significantly to the general vibe.
Such a lovely, atmospheric place. They really are committed to the style.
Highly recommend!!

Lovely bar. A real hidden gem. Our host Tony was great, he ensured that we had a authentic 1920s experience and more importantly he found out where my missing ferret was. Would highly recommend!

Evans & Peel Detective Agency is well worth your money and then some. As someone who loves experiences/places with a theme this was perfect. I had sent in a "case" beforehand (highly recommend doing that to get the most out of your experience!) and Detective Evans had already done some research, he was determined to help solve our case.
The bar itself was amazing, I felt like I had time-traveled back to the 20's. The decor and music made it super authentic. The staff was lovely, attentive and helpful and the cocktails were exquisite. One even came served in a Bialetti cafetiére!
When we left Detective Evans greeted us and informed us that he had indeed solved our case and welcomed us back for our next case. We will most certainly be back.

Wow. Wow. Wow.
Secret little venue, I can't say too much or it'll spoil the surprise. Just go. Plain and simple. Just go. You will not be disappointed.
The staff are amazing, really helpful, polite, funny. Love it inside, my kind of decor. Truly a magical place. I can't wait to visit again. Oh and to the owners, your secret is safe. 👍

Let me correct my comment please, the place was cool & unique, but need improvement to what comes to rushing because of the time tables hold for each people booked in. Maybe let everyone enjoy more each others company instead of walking by the tables all the time ( even tho u doing it out of politeness) also the pepper we've payed for it so we eat them, but recepie needs improvement too please maybe more flavor?! . That's all, thank you for your attention. We will be back again. 🔍🗞️
