Celebrating a new job and was a little anxious about being a party of people who have not all seen one another outside of work before, but thanks to the great concept of the console booths and retro arcade games, this never turned out to be a problem. Fantastic for the nostalgia vibes too! A few issues did arise from our visit, but these were handled very quickly and exceeded my expectations, to the point where I would quite like a return visit/seeing the other bars. My one room for improvement would be for a list of console games at the booths, which are understandably in a locked cabinet on display – don’t want anyone pinching them – as you need to ask staff to change the game for you.

Lovely place with great atmosphere and a very good selection of retro games. Besides crisps the only food available are pizzas but they're fresh and hit the spot. Cocktails are really good and there's a decent selection of beers. Slightly more pricey than your average pub for beers, but in line with the hackney wick area so can't complain too much.

Really cool place with awesome games. The perfect place to hang out with friends where you can chill out, catch up and play some old school games. I booked two console booths for my bday and the communication leading upto the booking was exceptional. Manager on the night was a bit odd/rude at first but was nice at the end. Only complaint was that you had to ask the staff to come change the games would be cool if we could do it ourselves, but understand why that might not be possible with retro games and alcohol being involved

Fantastic experience as always! My wife and I have been coming here since they opened and on each occasions we have enjoyed ourselves. On this visit there was a delay with the pizza we ordered due to a kitchen issue; however we were well looked after with some complimentary drinks and crisps while we waited. We are pretty chilled people so this was not necessary, but a great surprise and testament to the great customer service we experienced. The two girls that looked after us (apologies, I didn't grab their names) were fantastic and rounded off another great experience at Four Quarters!!

A Gamers bar located at Here East. They offer a number of beer varieties and cocktails. The bar is fairly small but contains a lot of Arcade gaming machines as well as the more modern tabletop monitors and devices. A Gamers paradise. They have a large number of outdoor seating and situated just by the canal it's a great place to chill out with friends while enjoying the music and general ambiance. A nice place to stop for drinks after a hike along the canal or to meet up with fellow Gamers.

Cool arcade game, relaxed setting. Various types of games, racing, shooting, tekken, pinball. You had seats with a screen as part of rhe table and buttons underneath, u also had the booths with consoles. It did look abit run down it needs abit of TLC but generally the games were worth the experience. I like the fact they used quarters. Great drinks selection, it was much better on a monday as there were fewer people.

Went there for my birthday, were very accommodating despite being a busy Saturday night, amazing cocktails and great pizzas too. Every machine was in working order which considering their age I imagine is no easy feat.

Had a great afternoon here yesterday. Great beer, great pizza and had a live DJ playing some proper retro tunes to go with the great arcade games they have to play. A really nice area to have a drink with a view of the canal. I will be back for sure.

Booked a few tables outside for my birthday over the weekend and the venue were exceptionally well accommodating. Had a really great time. The outdoor seating area is a great setup. Staff were all good, reasonably priced drinks, tasty pizza, TVs for the Euros. Really happy I booked here after I'd cycled past a bunch of times.

What a place! Finally someone out there understood the mood around. They have games I completely lost memory of! Not much choice of food, and it doesn't look good quality. It's fine tho, didn't expect otherwise, also they allow you to bring stuff from other joints around. Will definitely come back

Don’t be fooled by the glossy exterior, this is an old school gaming bar full of your favourite arcade machines. As busy as you’d expect on a sunny day, thankfully there’s always a space to be found outside on the grass, alongside the River Lee. Shoppers at Stratford Westfield, or even those in Elizabeth Park, probably don’t realise that they are just a short walk from one of London’s gems. Great fun, I've been there only once, not too busy, nice staff and very nice area, with green spaces and the canal... but of course I spent 1h inside challening my mate at Tekken Tag like the good old days! I'll definitely go back!

Great place to go with a group of friends. The games are all retro and fun. We went on a Saturday night and there was minimal waiting time (people usually moved from game to game, so you just had to keep an eye out). They serve some food, London priced beers (£5 pints) and it overlooks the canal. I really enjoyed it

For Post Lockdown - Pre Full open - plenty of seating outside provided, staff constantly keeping the place clean at regular intervals and really friendly. Would give it 5 stars if i didnt have to specifically download an app to order. Just make sure you book a table - easy to book too

Very nice place and experience however they were not prepared for our booking despite booking way in advance. We had to watch as the kicked people off our table and cleared it which felt awkward.

It's a really nice place, with a nice vibe to it. Unimpressive pizza, can't comment on drinks. Has a lot of games, although the controls are sometimes laggy due to usage. Would recommend going here and investing in a decent amount of coins - the games are catchy, highly addictive, and great fun. Party size tables with old consoles are available, two people tables with integrated games too. There's something for everyone.

This is one heck of a hidden gem which needs to be bigger and be shouted about! Great atmosphere and selection of drinks. It’s unique selling point by far are the classic arcade cabinets (using genuine US quarters). This place gets very busy despite being in the most secluded part of the Olympic park which speaks volumes on the popularity. You should enjoy this place sooner rather than later as it’s only set to get busier!

What a bar! Friendly staff, lovely crowd, top games and great Vibes. Hats off for creating an experience for everyone, especially casual gamers. Felt like I was a kid again. You use actual quarters in the machines and some consoles are free to play. Even if you aren't into video games, you'll have a top time. :)

Customers can be the type to take a while at the bar so fantastic place if you catch it at the right time, can be a little frustrating during busy periods (like when the weather's good)

Great fun, a wide range of classic and fun games to play like Space Invaders, Crazy Taxi, Street Fighter 2, Marvel vs Capcom and many more. Great for a group of friends or even by yourself. It's affordable and you can buy drinks at the bar, if you want to play some of the old school consoles like Nintendo 64 though I'd definitely suggest reserving a booth in advance so that you don't have to wait for another group to finish first.

I randomly found this place and I’m glad I did. It’s a nice place if you’re a geek or not. Probably one of the best thing about this place, it’s inclusive everyone can join have some genuine fun at a fair price. Some of the games are going to wake up some of your deepest childhood memories and I think this is enough to rate this place with 5 stars. I didn’t have the chance to try food and drinks but I’m sure I’ll be back ready to enjoy the whole experience.

Super fun place - it has retro video games, beer and pizza - what else could you need? The staff are all really friendly and the beer selection is great. The only problem is that I whenever I come I end up spending absolutely ages here....! The outdoor seating is a big plus too.

Retro arcade theme venue but family friendly for a bar. Not easy to get to. Should have more toppings to choose from for their pizzas. Pizzas were nice. To answer your question how you can get that 5*. A wider selection of toppings for your pizzas, wider range of pub snacks hot or cold, and just to let people know that it is a child friendly venue, maybe you could have specific family days and an adults only night as a suggestion. But keep up the good work, really enjoyed the venue would be nice to have some old school 8bit machines too.

Excellent idea for an afternoon/evening out with a difference. Lots of choice of drinks and the location is brilliant - at the side of a canal and just by the Olympic Park. The retro games and arcade machines take you back to younger years. There's a good variety of machines to choose from so you'll always manage to find one to play on. The booths that contain the games consuls can get busy at certain times so reserving a spot would be safest.This is a quirky, fun and unique place to visit.

Didn't know I was a fan of the arcades, but here I am. Like the menu, very comprehensive, and has something for everyone in there. Specially recommend the cocktails, they do know how to make them. Tried the pizza, and as a non-lover of pizza, I must say it was really good (try the Shredder, if you're not vegan).

Great location. Not a gamer, but the range of vintage games looked impressive. Loads of arcade games. I happened to go on the day England played Sweden in the World Cup, so it was a bit stressful for the staff. Most handled it well, but one in particular seemed to take it out on the customers. Regardless, I'd recommend Four Quarters East. Just not on a big game day.

A cool addition to this nice little strip of restaurants & bars by the side of the canal. The main attraction is the range of arcade and console games. Seeing some guys playing Goldeneye on the N64 is a big nostalgia trip! We enjoyed Tekken 2 and Pac-Man, although the sit-in version of Outrun was our favourite. A good range of local craft beers on tap at prices you’d expect around Hackney Wick. It was great to be able to spill out onto the grass outside on a warm summer evening.

You never really know if you're going to have an amazing time, or be unable to get on the game you want because someone is hogging it. Bar selection is ok, overpriced. The female staff are always very helpful and polite, one member of staff is always very awkward, dude if you don't like interacting with people, don't work in customer service.

Came here on a saturday afternoon. My golly gosh was it busy with families. We had to wait a while to get on the street fighter game. If you do get here and your lucky to get a table, Then there is a game console on each table so you will enjoy yourselves.
