Such a hidden quirky little place with amazing interior decor that just has to be seen. Will definitely be going back there asap. Really friendly bar staff who made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. Everything was clean and sanitised. Very close to everything in Soho which is handy.

Whenever I'm up the West End I near enough never ever fail to pop in to Friendly Society for a Vodka & Coke plus a cheeky "Trojan Shot" (I highly recommend if you love Jaffa Cakes, that's all I'm gonna say). Quirky, Fun, love the barbie dolls stuck on the ceiling amongst the vines & the wall of pictures!

One of London's best LGBT+ bars run by the wonderful Maria. Plastic dolls are nailed to the ceiling and there is permanent projection of kitsch films on the back wall. Some snug tables under the arches too. Quirky funky music and good wines and beer.

Always a pleasure to visit The Friendly Society where manager / owner? Peter does such a fine job with his friendly staff. Love dancing here and Saturday night is always extra fun with an eclectic music mix from yesteryear. Additionally, an eclectic bunch of party-goers of all ages and genres that live up to the bar's name: Friendly. Guaranteed smiles - can't wait for my next visit!

Been here a few times. Cosy bar with nice ambient lighting and decor. Most recent time there was a playlist of just Fleetwood Mac songs. Mix it up a bit! Drinks prices are to be expected. Bartender very nice.

This is an experience you'll only get if you know it's there. A very dainty little place. It's so odd its amazing. Absolutely loved my first time there. The random decor just really makes it an experience and the staff are fantastic. Every drink seems to be important whether it's a cocktail to a cider. So impressed. Can not wait to return

Fun gay-ish cocktail bar. The cocktails are well made, the decor is camp and the music is mostly 70s and 80s era funk. There's also a fantastic shoes off seating area where you can put your feet up... if you get there early enough.

Definitely one of my favorite gay bars in London. Nice intimate space and a friendly crowd. The only thing that stops me from visiting more often is the music is in the same order from around 11-12 every time. I do miss some of the cheesy 90s pop that played before. But still a good time.

This is my favourite London hideaway place to be. The sense of fun brimming out of this place is wonderful. Every cocktail made will impress, the staff are excellent and always happy to help. The music is extremely varied guaranteeing you will hear some of your very best tunes at some point throughout the night, with the hits rolling through the decades , disco to soul to pop played all night long. The quirky style in which it is decorated adds to the sense of fun throughout the venue and the secluded sofas are perfect for a sneaky snog on a first date or a crazy night out with best friends. I really love this place if you haven't been then you really are missing out as it truly is one of the only venues left in Soho to be totally treasured and adored! X can't wait to see the team again very soon! X

I love the Friendly Society! Having lived in London for 5 years, this was always my local, such a nice friendly vibe, great bar staff, party goers and and wicked interior that you need to see for yourself! Did I mention the amazing cocktails? Anything you want, they can make. I love asking them to create their own favourite, always something different. If you're ever passing through Soho, make sure you visit the Friendly Society. It won't disappoint!

Definitely an interesting place. A tiny little shoe-box basement bar with three areas. An equally small bar to match, but with a good selection of drinks, though sadly not so for cocktails. Be sure to look-out for the Barbie dolls stapled to the ceiling!

The best little club in London - fab music/fab clientele-gay/straight/you name it/well-mannered staff. Bouncers are charming. But you need to have more air-con as it is uncomfortable and you definitely need more staff serving at the bar. Apart from that - I LOVE IT!!! Been on the scene since 1990 - never seen anything like it. WONDERFUL!!!

Re-visited this SOHO gem after some years and I'm pleased to say it still lives up to its moniker. Staff friendly and attitude free atmosphere. Still the oddest interior decor I've seen but I won't spoil the surprise! Drinks reasonable and music decent. Won't leave it so long till next time!

The best bar/club/pub in Soho! Excellent music - mostly retro pop/soul/funk/rock, excellent decor: 70's wallpaper, barbie dolls hanging from the ceiling, even a fish tank with gold fish. Prices are OK and the crowd is the happiest, friendliest, coolest people in Soho. Make sure not to miss it as it's down in the basement and the door is tiny, almost hidden in an alleyway. Should be called Friendly Secret Society really. Shhh... don't give it away!

A basement bar in the heart of Soho. Excellent ambience, and do not forget to look up and stare at the ceiling! Dolls in raunchy clothing are staring at you from the top. Lol. This bar also has a couple of other 'rooms' where you can chill out with that close friend of yours. :-) It is a tad pricey though.

I love the vibe in here. It's like you're in an underwater playground with seaweed made out of plastic garden flowers, and a sea of ken and barbie dolls on the ceiling. They play cool music (first it was like brazilian lounge music, and switched into a pet shop boys marathon), it's a very low key lounge where you can chat with friends and cute decor. I think it is more hidden so drunk douches won't stumble in off the street. A pitcher of PERONI was £10... 2 pints. Overall, I think this place is pricier than other pubs around, but this is made up by the atmosphere and crowd. I WOULD DEFINITELY COME HERE AGAIN.
