Very enjoyable experience....great staff, especially the dark beautiful straight haired barmaid working on the evening of Friday 4th Feb. .. extremely attentive. Food was good as well. I'll be back

Food is pretty standard pub grub, certainly not a gastro pub. It has a nice garden area built during lockdown and interior decor and cleanliness is very good. The problem with the Kings Head was always the service. But happily that seems to have changed. The new staff are friendly and efficient, so well worth a visit now.

What a pleasant surprise. Sunday roast was simply gorgeous. With equally gorgeous staff. The young lady serving by the name of Cira then recommended I try the Triple Roast for a good love filling dinner. Then she insisted Rubarb and Ginger crumble. Oh my days what a sensation. Big ups to Cira on the bar serving. I will definitely come again. 5*s baby.

Really nice pub. Friendly service and decent pub grub menu. We had a tasty fishcake and some very good veggie burgers. Onion rings were well cooked and side salad was excellent, good ripe avocado in there and freshly roasted seeds on top. With ample parking, the pub is in Chingford but within walking distance of Epping forest to help you walk of your lunch.

Such a lovely time in the Kings Head in Chingford! We booked in for a Saturday lunch after a hike in Epping Forrest! The menu was quite lengthy which felt a little overwhelming but all of the food was fantastic! We got fish & chips, scampi & chips, sausages and mash, the lamb and the steak! The desserts we’re great- Eaton mess, rum sticky pudding and the crumble! The service was wonderful! The waitresses we’re so attentive and friendly! We hoped to watch the NZ- Ireland rugby match and they set us up on a new table in the snug and put the match on for us which was hugely appreciated! Will be back!

The inside is nice, a traditional family and dog friendly pub with very friendly staff. The beer garden is really good and they have heaters available. The Sunday lunch is great, with a mushroom Wellington roast as the vegetarian option. Definitely going here again.

Needed a local night out where I could get a decent cocktail. The Kings Head did not disappoint - with the thanks of their amazing staff, mainly Christianna. Now this girl can make a cocktail! She has amazing knowledge of cocktails, suggesting ones we would maybe prefer. A wonderful young lady - friendly, smiley, she even laughed at my friends awful jokes. She brought our cocktails over during a busy Friday evening, giving the correct drinks to me and my pals (there was 6 of us so she even remembered who ordered what - very rare!) As she collected empties later, she popped to our table to ensure our drinks were as we wanted and we couldn’t be happier. We had a few cocktails during the night, and we did ask if a Christianna could make them and she didn’t disappoint. Each one as yummy as the next. We will be visiting again soon to try out the food at The Kings Head - and we hope Christianna is there with her friendly amazing service!

I have not been to this pub for a while but it was nice to see it very busy on a Tuesday night. Good selection of beers and atmosphere. There was a game of poker going on in the back room which looked to be played in good spirits and I was encouraged by the organiser to come back next week and play, which I just might do!

Christianna was a lovely host and made my group feel very welcomed and was extremely patient and willing to give her recommendations for whiskey and gin to our group. Cannot rate this pub and their staff enough. Q

We've been 3 times since the pub reopened. We had stopped going before Covid because the staff were offhand and were mostly only interested in serving their friends. However, the experience we've had recently couldn't have been more different. The staff are polite and friendly and work really hard. Food-wise, we have enjoyed the vegan burgers and the fish and chips. The only issue we've had (which seems to be an issue for a number of people) is the app for ordering. After several attempts to get it to work yesterday, we had to get table service because the order didn't go through. A small problem though which won't stop us going back!

Managed to book an outside table. The manager and staff were very helpful in showing us to our table and helping us download the NHS COVID app. A fantastic effort had been made to create a very ambient wonderful outdoor space, with heaters, lights and even flowers on the table. The table service was excellent Well done manager and team. I wish you every good luck in your reopening. I would highly recommend this venue.

This is a lovely family pub, great staff and friendly atmosphere. Nice selection of food, beers, ales and wine. There are two outside areas with heating and a car park. The prices for drinks are standard for London with a big selection of gins to test. Inside is cosy with fires and plenty of tables and high chairs. You can use the pub app to order drinks and food straight to your table. If you're passing this pub then drop in for a drink and a bite to eat.

We went to the Kings Head for a family meal and although we enjoyed our time there the service was slow, the music was loud overhead so we struggled to talk to one another, and those who ordered pies in our party really did not enjoy them. Our food came out at odd timings but for those who did order the right things they really enjoyed it. Nice place and nice staff but could use some improvements - mainly some changes to the menu!

Nice pub. In a good location and lots of parking on site Nice outdoor area too for the summer. Drinks are reasonably priced. I think a little on the higher side but it's not a Wetherspoons so I guess that's what you get. The pub is really nicely decorated and has a Nice homely feel to it Would deffo recommend a visit to the kings head. Also the food there is really nice too me and family have eaten there several times and it has always been good.

Good local pub with a decent selection of both house and guest ales. This pub is geared towards somewhere to go when you want a quiet night out. Music is played, but at a very low volume. Food is okay and comes out quickly and hot. They have food deals in the week which work out roughly £6 for a main course meal. Not bad! Quiz night, burger night, deals for over 65's and a nice beer garden means there's a lot going on and worth a visit. It's close to 5 stars but it's lacking a bit of atmosphere.

My sister- in- law and I went to the Kings Head today 15/02/17 and could not get over how good the food was for the money. We both had Hunters Chicken with vine tomatoes, chips and peas. It was really tasty, well worth the money, which was£5.00 each. This was followed by apple crumble with custard, it was delicious, that was £3.00 each. The staff are very friendly and you can sit for as long as like and no one bothers you or makes you feel as though you have worn out your welcome. Another plus, is the fact that the toilets were spotless. We will definitely be going back very soon

Wheelchair access from the back carpark. Bar manager I spoke to (possibly owner) has a three year old and was very nice. About a ten minute walk to Chingford station. 20-30 min walk to the Lee Valley and canals

My local pub, for the last two years. I don't get here enough, but always think I should every time I go. It's good. Haven't eaten here, but the drink selection is grounded reasonably priced. The "try before you buy" ales is common outside of London, but is a nice touch.

I first came here for my mums 50th birthday, had a great time and she loved her margarita made by Christianna, her cocktails and service were great! Came back not long after with a few friends, we were served by christianna again and we had the best time. Would definitely recommend.
