Reviews of Leather Bottle
s. v.
Big pub, huge garden, nicely decorated with hard working staff (football day so not very conversational), food looks good but I didn't try. We only stayed for one as the mortgage for the second pint wasn't approved. Looks a good pub to take the family out to eat and drink but if you could afford their prices you'd probably not go to a pub.
L. B.
Huge Pub with a very nice back garden. You can even book little huts for private parties. Very nice.
Had food there last time, really average, but prices are ridiculous high. Ordered mayonnaise and never got it...
B. T.
My first time at this pub. Visited with large family group,15 persons. Used the pub app to order. Food and drinks served to the table. Service was good, food was served hot and presented well. The desserts were delicious. Good relaxed feel to the eating areas with plenty of space and ventillation. Prices were reasonable for London. Will definitely go back next time I am in town.
P. L. R.
Decent, spacious pub, could do with a bit more character, but the beer and food are good.

Upmarket local pub with great food and a large outdoor seating area. We enjoyed our lunch in this well organised venue. Order using the Youngs app, its really easy to use and the food arrived fairly quickly. There is a restaurant type menu with interesting upmarket dishes and a burger menu with some creative combinations. We enjoyed the fish and chips which was excellent and came with delicious fresh garlic mayo. The classic burger was well made and tasty. Prices are a bit higher than what we expected, but it was good to be back and we enjoyed our visit.

Recently had a birthday celebrated here with a private room hire. Excellent service and attentive staff. Food also excellent. Would recommend!
D. H. W.
We had the Sunday Roast and it was very nice. Its a big pub with a lit of seating areas you might need to wait a bit if you are hungry but it's worth it. Service is good and attentive. This pub is great in summer too, the terrace is very pretty.
N. M.
It was a great night here with friends. There was a nice fire and heated light to keep us warm with good seating. We got a space inside this lovely hut and there were many of these huts too! It has a very big outdoor space which is probably very lovely during summer.
Which most likely I'll be back to experience.
Services is awfully slow, at one point we had waited 20 minutes on 4 beers. Unfortunately this happened around 3 times out of the 4 times we had ordered.
The outside toilets are a bit dodgy and could use some dusting and cleaning.
J. C.
Really great food with an option for burgers which are cooked in their burger shack in the garden or standard pub food from the kitchen. Large covered outdoor areas with cabins you can rent.
T. N.
Always have had a great time over the years. I am not a local. Great for large groups or for a quiet pint. Booking is essential if you want the prime locations within the establishment...
A. L.
Too venue. Enjoyed an afternoon session n the beer garden. More of a fabulous outside bar. Great venue.
J. R.
Really amazing pub. HUGE beer garden with really great food. Service is excellent. During COVID they run at strict capacity and have utilities and one way system that caters for everybody. Specific callout to Skyla, Rob and Chris who were great hosts. Will be returning many more times to come!
N. O.
Awesome back garden with huts. Everything is ordered on the app now which is far more efficient. The front garden is nice on summer evenings despite being on a main road. There are a few cute nooks inside the pub but ultimately sitting inside is a very different vibe from outside.
C. B.
Lovely pub with a massive outside area. Best to book especially in summer but there is a walk-ins area. Only thing that puts us off going more is the prices but for a night out once in a while it’s lovely. Food from the actual restaurant looks lovely but we had burgers from the outside area and boys loved them.
K.
Great family friendly pub, really nice setting, good service. Food was OK, just average, and a tad pricey.
A. M.
Great place with amazing veggie burgers and desserts! 🍔🥧 There's lots of space specially outside and the inside is very homey. Staff is super friendly too!
S. M.
Fantastic outdoor area when the sun is shining, nice and cosy inside when the weather isn't your friend. Great place for a group get together over lunch or a few drinks to get your Saturday night started. It's popular so it's gets busy. Suggestion is to book.
B. H.
We were told we could have one area by one person then were told we had to have a different area which was a bit annoying as we really liked the first. We were outside under the stretch tent, would be good if there were some heaters there. It rained and the Astro turf grass got so waterlogged it was hard to walk on without getting wet socks. The app wasn't working properly for ordering as well. Bar and wait staff were however very friendly
S. M.
Good food, good beer and socially-distanced in our own hut in the garden.
J. L.
A nice big garden, friendly staffs and a service, family friendly but the car park has not enough space and also the baby changing room in the garden area was closed so we had to go all the way in to the busy pub area.
S. A.
Absolutely love this place! I would have given 5 stars. If the dining area was only for sit down eating it would have been such a better esperance. Unfortunately there were loud people standing next to our table drinking and shouting really loud which made my parents want to leave as soon as they finished eating.
D. G.
Robert, our main man, was sterling. Good food, large outdoor area, and generally very friendly. An impromptu visit, but very happy we ended up here.
G. R.
♿️✅ Easy access to the pub and outside seating areas, plenty of room to move around in.
The Leather Bottle is a great pub to visit, in summer it's a haven as the large beer garden comes to life! There's a crazy amount of tables, a good array of food options and cozy huts you can hire out. Inside is cosy for those long winter months. Haven't tried the food here yet but it does look great, service is OK, can take some time at the bar.
O. P.
Recommend going early during the week when it's quieter and cozy. The pub is modern and has plenty of comfy areas to hangout.
O. S.
Lovely pub in Earlsfield. Great if you have big parties. Burger shack at the back is delicious. Inside is nice and cosy with a fire in the winter!
L. W.
I would like to thank everyone at the Leather Bottle who made my son's 21st celebrations so memorable. Service, food ambience and all the staff were excellent. Once again thanks for being so accommodating to our noisy group.
L. B.
What a lovely pub, the beer garden is amazing. We only had a snack of fries and pigs in blankets with our drink, and they we're delicious. We kept seeing food from the main menu and it looks amazing. Thankyou for a lovely couple of hours. Keep up the good work.
B. M. F.
Amazing spacious pub, great service, great food. The steak is highly recommended.
R. S.
My friends and I have had such a lovely Sunday here today, made all the more special by Robert and his excellent mixologist skills and attentive bar tending. Above and beyond customer care. Thank you Robert 🤩🌈
L. M.
Lovely festive pub. Great outdoor space in the sunshine, or the cold!
L. D.
Amazing place! Will definitely go back. The garden is beautiful
A. A.
Went here for our Christmas drinks the staff and service were brilliant and the food was good. Prices about right for the area.
d. m.
The pub is great for parties, we had a large amount of adults and kids in the rear pub garden. You can hire out seating on a large veranda which has a roof so you're keep warm and dry in all weather's. Table service was good. The bar staff where polite and very helpful when we asked about the types of drinks they sell. We ordered salads and vegan burgers. The salad could have done with some more dressing and the burgers tasted like the cheaper version sold in supermarkets. This is a shame as the Beyond Meat vegan burgers are an easy option for pubs and restaurants, and they can make a good profit selling them due to how real they are compared to the real thing. The prices of the food and drink was reasonable. The mens toilets are small for the size of the pub with with three urinals and only one sink and hand dryer, this is also very close to the toilet cubicle which means you will need to shuffle around to let someone in and out of the cubicle. I didn't see and baby changing facilities, so if you are with a little one you'll need to change them where you're sat. There is parking to the rear side of the pub, probably enough for about 15 cars, but you can park for free over the road from the pub.
Hope this helps when making your choice .
P. R.
Great atmosphere, pleasant place to eat and drink. Service faultless. Tried various lunch items today..burgers, sandwiches. They were okay, but nothing special. Perhaps a little disappointing for the high prices. The mains menu looks better value. I would eat here again.
A. H.
This pub has one of the best beer garden I've ever seen, heated, covered and massive!
J. R.
5 stars in summer for the beer garden and the outside seating area of the restaurant, but only 3 stars in winter as interior of the pub feels dated and the furniture and layout is not very inviting. The leather bottle has one of the best outside seating areas in southwest London with the lots of picnic benches and also little rentable huts. The huts are great for sport events as the Leather Bottle is not a sports bar and is not broadcasting sports events outside, or if they do, they do without sound so that you can enjoy the area without watching sports as well.
Update (06/2021): Since the implementation of the Young's app as a response to social distancing the speed of the service has improved dramatically. Just be careful when ordering food from the shack and from the restaurant about timing. They will arrive as they become ready in the shack and the restaurant respectively and not at necessarily the same time.
M. D. F.
Once again great to visit, the garden looks amazing and the food was delicious!!!
C.
Had a bit of an issue first time I visited but the team did everything to make things better and on the second visit it was exceptional.
The place is huge. Try and get a table outside (which you need to book through the Young's app) which is so lovely in the sun.
They also have a "shack" that serves up burgers and they are so so good.
M. M.
Excellent lock down pub. Large outside space and huts with fires for the cold evenings.
M. L.
We had a great Christmas party last weekend thank you to great organisation, plenty of lovely food and very friendly people!
a. w.
Great pub, great food, huge and lovely garden. Well worth a visit.
B. I.
Very comfortable pub garden.
Youngs beer good food and friendly staff.
I. S.
Really lovely warm pub and great staff. Food was really nice too!
s. p.
Lovely lunch, but a very hot day especially under the canopy, was like a greenhouse effect! Entering with the days of Covid was organised and precautions taken, but a bit long. Ordering food and drink was suggested via an app, but these days straight forward and most of us can do these things with mobile phones. There was an option to order via a waitress too if needed. Good variety of food and friendly staff.
M. B.
The Leather Bottle, don't be put off by the name there's nothing leathery about the place. A great atmosphere and a good traditional pub quiz where guessing pints = prizes. Don't worry if you're no good at quizzes the quizmaster's hints will give away most of the answers anyway.
S. A. B.
Great pub, the kind of quality you expect from a young pub. The staff are very friendly, the food is clearly fresh and done to an incredibly high standard.
The outside area is great for summers, they do barbeques on the weekend (don't quote me on that). Very family friendly.
Would highly reccomend to anyone looking for a family orientated pub with a great menu.
Nicole especially is very friendly and efficient.
S. N.
Massive beer garden and reasonable prices ..dog and child friendly
L. P.
One of the best Sunday lunches I have had! Good portions! Amazing flavours and quality and a really nice atmosphere!
C. R.
Lovely pub with lovely back garden space an booths to dine in
H. V.
Lovely garden with a great location. Pub and pub garden would be 5 star, but food and service brings it right down - very underwhelming
N. S.
Went there recently for an engagement party. The bar staff were top notch - very efficient service. Totally recommend
L. P.
Love this pub. It’s one of my favourite pubs in London. The beer garden is just phenomenal. Also really good proper pub food if you are able to dine inside.
C. N.
5 of us went this evening and did not have the best experience. It was our first Friday night pub booking post lockdown, and we heard that they had a nice garden. The people checking us in were not particularly friendly and kept reiterating our table would not be ready until our reservation time (we were a bit early) when we had never pushed them to be seated any earlier. The rest of the staff seemed nice enough and very hard working, but it took about 30 mins for drinks to arrive. We were seated at a bad table away from the heaters and right next to the speaker, and it was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk, but I suppose someone has to sit there and it was just bad luck. I get that it’s tough with all the restrictions and they are working out the kinks, but I felt like a nuisance just for being there. I would not go back.
d. a.
Very nice people. Great food and cosy Christmas atmosphere. Loved it.
O. M.
Imagine the scene, perfect sunny day, miles from anywhere, the sound of people chatting, exceptional beers, wonderful staff....this is the leather bottle. Enormous garden, beach huts, stunning food and just a great ambience....put this on your to-do list
J. M.
Very nice layout. Great garden. Most of staff were polite and helpful. One guy just shoved tray at you and I walked off. Might have been a mute.. shouldn't judge
S. N.
Great spacious venue and very kid friendly. Food was simple but really nice! Amazing chips! Soft and fluffy on the inside. Crispy on the outside lol. Great service. They bought a birthday plate out as it was my husbands birthday. Would definitely return
C. W.
Great staff, good selection of food, lovely fire place!
R. C.
This is my local pub, go all the time and love it - incredible garden.
Don’t usually write reviews but felt on this occasion I had to thank one of the staff - tall Irish guy (sorry, didn’t get your name!). Things started a little rocky with a wrong order and slow service, but he sorted everything out quickly, with no fuss and a friendly demeanour. Great customer service also from James - he was so good with our dogs! Thank you guys
S. M.
A wonderful quirky pub in Earlsfield. Great range of beers, wines and spirits. A good kitchen. Friendly staff.
J. v. H.
Had my birthday here, really nice pub for children.
M. S.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere and a wide range of drinks available. Lovely and large outdoor area too! Just make sure you book ahead
N.
Really used to love this pub a few years back so 3 stars not less staff tried hard .... but the food wasn't worth the money at all sorry to say we all got served at different times and wasn't cooked to how any of us wanted it.. hardly any meat in the fried cheek balls and for the money its not worth eating there ..drinking there however is always a good day out.... but I'd still say on a whole the half way house is cheaper and better quality of food
A. D.
Nice bar, good selection of drinks. No sports shown here.
S. S.
Great pub, amazing food and outdoor space. Good for rugby and football
J. M.
Very nice layout. Great garden. Most of staff were polite and helpful. One guy just shoved tray at you and I walked off. Might have been a mute.. shouldn't judge
C. C.
Food was awesome. Big portions. Very happy
A. C.
Brilliant garden. Service slow. Rather expensive food that is mediocre
S. M.
A wonderful quirky pub in Earlsfield. Great range of beers, wines and spirits. A good kitchen. Friendly staff.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and a wide range of drinks available. Lovely and large outdoor area too! Just make sure you book ahead

A nice pint of cider in the beer garden with the sunshine and Wimbledon fans.
M. “. B.
Polite and hard working staff.
S. A. P.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely place.
K. B.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent ambience and service
L. K.
Well. Food was solid. Staff were great, Leoni - aka superwoman - stepped up to the plate. Knocked up world class margaritas and changed the night forever. Coming back for here alone.
S. S.
Loved my visit. Great spot staff and a grown up vibe
E. D.
Incredible beer garden, beer is over priced. Pub is clean and staff are nice
H. T.
Nice venue but the food menu was pretty limited and over priced. Quality fine but a burger without even a side of fries shouldn't be setting you back £12. Would come back for drinks but give it a miss for food.
V. G.
Nice location, nice eating area, average food
J. W.
Food = delish. and fresh
Service= friendly if a little bit forgetful
Still had a fab lazy lunch in the fab, massive and imacculate pub garden
O. M.
My new local and they accepted us as walk ins even on the Wednesday pubs were re-opening again plus we were able to get bumped up to a heated table a bit later on. Good work, will be coming back.
J. G.
Great outdoor area and a good selection of beer. I had the loaded burger from the shack but the patties were overdone, and the ox cheek was dry.
D. C.
A nice Young's pub with a pleasant dining room and a HUGE garden out the back - complete with a Burger Shack, private huts (some with log fires) and games. The food menu was pretty varied when we went on a Sunday afternoon - the vegetarian roast was the best I've ever had.
J. S.
Roast beef served with roast potatoes,Yorkshire pudding, spinach, butternut squash & carrots.
Really nice meal in a nice setting, good service.
Music was a bit upbeat to eat to but good after finished eating.
N. K.
Great proper boozer. Nice staff and a good size, but the star of the show is the garden. It's huge and has different areas. I won't spoil it, just go hungry and enjoy all it's has to offer. Very kid friendly also.
C. W.
Excellent Sunday roast but rubbish service, and they weren’t even that busy!
M. S.
Fantastic pub that is always a delight to visit. It has a very large garden with beach huts, benches and tables so a choice of seating. The food is varied and good. A decent drinks selection. It is also for friendly and family friendly. I'd highly recommend a visit!
r. g.
A great place for those who enjoy alcohol.

Will be even better when the new burger shack is up and running
C. C.
Food was awesome. Big portions. Very happy
E. R.
Friendly pub with a spacious garden. Perfect for long summer evenings.
Really enjoyed their wine by the glass.
The food was below par but the staff responded professionally and in suspect it's usually much better.
C. R.
Beautiful place, good for going with children also. Nice burguers and beers. Friendly staff
C. G.
From the outside, it looks tiny and old, outdated, a place your grandparents went to, as young adults. It has character and then some. As you walk in, you are greeted by locals, leather seating, old wood and a fantastic bar. The bartender's are friendly to boot.
As you look beyond the bar, the back opens to a very nice lawn filled with wood tables, benches and chairs; music plays modern, up-beat music and the barmaids are pleasant in nature.
If hungry, I highly suggest the fish and chips. And, you won't leave hungry. A new favorite of mine is their cider, provided with a chilled glass: Old Mout Cider, in ALL their flavors. You won't be disappointed.
This place is perfect for families, groups, and just hanging out on your own. It has seating out front, inside and on the lawn out back. It would be a perfect place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or if your creative, a local wedding, family style.
L. W.
Just over a year ago, my other half and I decided to host a post-wedding party at the Leather Bottle in Earlsfield and it's safe to say that we were delighted with our choice. We booked the decking area at the back of the spacious beer garden, including three huts and a number of pub benches to host a party of 100+ people. The feedback we've received from the guests has been overwhelmingly positive, with many stating that they looked forward to returning to the venue on their own at a future date. The staff at the Leather Bottle were incredibly supportive throughout the planning stages and especially on the day of the party, when a level of flexibility was required to adapt to some last minute changes mainly due to weather conditions. We couldn't recommend this venue enough and we look forward to coming back with family and friends for future visits!
B. R.
Great pub. Good garden for the family.
E. H.
Ordered some food after popping in for a pint and assumed it would be standard pub fare. I ordered the pork with crackling, slaw and roast potatoes, and it was one of the best meals I've had in a pub. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but definitely worth it. Bar staff were friendly, too.
T. W.
Nice wine, decent food, but they are skimping on the meat for the Sunday Roast... we each had two very thin slices of beef and pork respectively, bulked up by a large mound of cabbage, parsnips, carrots and potatoes underneath.
A. P.
I booked a table for lunch to try this local pub as I’ve been wanting to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised to see there is an amazing backyard with a lovely garden and the environment was cosy and welcoming. Service-wise, 3 out of the 4 people who served us or talked to us were amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. There was this one waiter who never made eye contact and got my friend’s plate without asking if she was finished.
The reason I am giving this place 3 stars is the food. We ordered ham&eggs, the beer battered cod and the “pork, apple and sausages” but instead we got no pork and no apple, just 3 sausages on top of mashed potatoes. It was very disappointing and when we asked they said the dish was right. Also, the ham was a large but very thin slice with some bacon which is definitely not enough for a person to eat. Overall, a good experience in terms of service and environment but not a good one in terms of food.
M. W.
Wonderful historic pub. Charles Dickens wrote the Pickwick Papers here.
P.
Our local. Hosted a party there for our one year old at beg of June and were well looked after. Good selection of beers. Can get very busy in good weather. Outdoor DJ starts early eve at the weekends meaning a quiet al fresco drink is out of the question
A. R.
Amazing selection of burgers on the menu great beer garden with some awesome heated huts. Only slight downside is the price of beer
A. W.
Came for just drinks on an overcast day - garden is excellent despite the weather. Loads of seats (almost all with cover), private 'shacks', well stocked outside bar - decent sound system, clear and balanced. I'd love to come back in summer proper.
Besides the garden, this seems to be a standard Young's pub in terms of beer and food range, with prices in line. Difficult to fault, if not very adventurous.
Most low reviews are for the staff seeming disinterested or overworked - difficult to judge on one visit for one (half!) pint on a quiet day. If you had a tight team here, could be a really excellent summer pub.
E. M.
Best sausages and mash I've had. The vgn gnocchi was delicious too and good portion sizes . I would recommend the mozzarella starter too!
Good service
N. A.
Love this pub! Great, friendly staff who remember your drink even after I was away for a few weeks! Big on the inside (two floors) with a lovely separate restaurant and definitely one of the best and one of the biggest beers gardens I've ever seen
S. S.
Great pub, amazing food and outdoor space. Good for rugby and football
P. G.
Had a great drink with my brother in law Tracy and Diane in the leather Bottle
J. M.
Went in with family two of whom have mobility issues. Reservation 's had been made and so when we arrived they had arranged the table and seating so there was plenty of space as well as assigned us a wonderfully helpful waitress so we did not need to go up to the bar. She was friendly and efficient and made our Sunday lunch even more enjoyable. Would we recommend. Food amazing. Ambience great and service superb. Yes ..another visit is on the cards!
M. A.
Lovely, historic pub, revitalised by Young's, already great but now working hard to safely serve customers during Covid. Thanks for making my son's birthday great.
J. C.
Great pub in
Earlsfield.
N. L.
I go all the time. But of five times eating from the burger shack I've been predominantly disappointed due to the cost and quality. Now I've learnt the good food from the pub kitchen cannot be served outside. So great garden, great pub, but poor decisions have been made to grant Burger Shack exclusive rights to the garden. As a result we won't go again if we're hungry and the weather is nice.
J. L.
Had sunday lunch. Very generous portions but really disappointed by food. No roast vegetables as advertised - boiled carrots, parsnips and potatoes. I had roast beef which was actually just a piece of flattened steak. Watery gravy. It felt like they'd run out of everything in the kitchen so were improvising! On the plus side, the garden is fantastic so worth coming if you're drinking, but definitely not for the food.
S. E. C. L.
Great pub. Really good food and service. Love the outdoor garden spaces. Lively and friendly family feel with lots of room to meet friends.
k.
A very good and large pub with a pretty decent meal option and large restaurant. Great place to have Xmas meals and large enough to cater for large parties. In summer it has these cool huts out back which are really great for chilling away the long days.
M. J.
Very enjoyable lunch with a great old friend. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the quality of food and drink was very high. Where we were was very well ventilated.
j. b.
Overall, pretty decent pub, not cheap though. Pretty expensive gin and tonic, close to a tenner, maybe that’s because they use branded Schweppes Tonic I don’t know but had to ask if the price was correct, pretty shocked. Otherwise an enjoyable experience. Atmosphere nice, lots of pretty girls, lots of blokes talking about their investments (save it for the office mate - no one cares).
C. P.
Space is great. Had the Sunday roast. Beef rib wasn't "falling off the bone" as advertised by the staff but was delicious. Looks bigger than it is: could have been more for 4 adults. Gravy was thin but tasted delicious. Trimmings were mostly good; yorkies were fabulous; potatoes disappointing. Wine was OK, not fantastic.
P. R.
A nice pint of cider in the beer garden with the sunshine and Wimbledon fans.
M. S.
Great place! Superb back garden and fantastic staff!
C. W.
Solid Young's pub with polite staff who did a good job of getting our drinks to us in a short space of time despite lots of customers.
D. G.
One of my favourite pubs in Earlsfield. Lovely beer garden and fantastic atmosphere - especially in the summer when it is at its liveliest outside! Friendly, welcoming staff too.
J. G.
always a good place to meet new friends
M. B.
Doesn't look much from the road. It has a small seating area outside at the front which looks onto the road which isn't nice. When you get served you can see a nice restaurant at the back and when you walk outside the garden is huge with lots of benches and seating areas. Two tvs, an outside burger place and bar to order from. You wouldn't think it had all that looking at it from the road. Not cheap but about what you'd expect from the area.
L. L.
Big open space outside , good selection of gins .
Nice!
E. W.
Great atmosphere, but the food is not that great. I really hope they have improved their roasts, I'm not willing to be the tester of that though.
It's quite expensive, but isn't everywhere these days? Great to visit here if you have kids as there is space for them to wander around.
Y. S.
Brilliant pub with the biggest beer garden I've seen in London! Prices are a bit high for being so far out of Central but great place to hang out.
P. S.
It took a long time to get served just to order a drink then another half an hour before they took a for order then another half hour before the for arrived.
The food was nice and the staff were friendly but clearly they need more people or to be better organized.
A. K.
Good pub however very pricey - typical Youngs pub. £6.15 for a Bulmers give you an idea
S. L.
I love this place! Always a fun vibe & the staff are great. The assistant manager was so friendly & helpful when I enquired about the menu (I have food allergies, very boring). If you're in the area then you should definitely pop in from a drink.
R. K.
Massive beer garden (as they like to say) but can get impressively busy. We didn't get seats out the back for an hour or so, but when we did, it was well worth the wait. It's open late (beer garden closes earlier) with a great atmosphere.
R. T.
Go for the beer garden, but stay for the food. It's everything you want from a pub - reasonably priced good food and a variety of drink options.
My favourite feature had to be the garden beach huts complete with comfy cushions and private TV screens. You have to book these out in advance but what a good idea. They also have a beach volleyball court but they are in the process of converting this into a full fledged beach! Where else in London do you have a beach in a beer garden?
A. K.
Great little pub where you can enjoy a drink, something to eat or both. We had eaten already so just called for a drink. The staff were friendly and the weather was so good we even sat outside at the tables there.
R. W.
Yet another excellent Youngs pub. It's what you'd expect for this location on Garratt Lane - quite well-to-do, family friendly, baby friendly, probably even dog friendly. Sunday lunches with the in-laws abound. They had an extension in recent years to pump the food angle, which has apparently gone down a treat. They have a great beer garden as well, check out the annual fireworks display (in November, obviously).
D. S.
Very impressed! Attended a family event and we hired the end of the beer garden. Brilliant outside space like no other pub I have been to.
M. M.
This was my first visit to the Leather Bottle, I found a very warm and family friendly pub. I eas there with my son, daughter-in-law my daughter and wife.
The food we ordered we found to be good and was served by a very friendly waitress . we would go back again.
G.
Great food, service. We were in a small group of about 20 people, we moved three tables to make one long table staff had no problem. A great pub
C. D.
Absolutely fantastic 👏. Wonderful vibe, great food and marvellous venue!
L. P.
Nice big pub with a big garden in the back, great on the summers day but a little more expensive than what can be found nearby. Haven't tried the food for a while but when I did it wasn't great. Will update my review when I have
A. E.
Great place! Amazing beer garden. Robert the bar man is the one to go to for cocktails, best bar man in London. Definitely recommend...!
A. C.
Brilliant garden. Service slow. Rather expensive food that is mediocre
Z.
The place was nice, the staff was phenomenal super friendly and willing to cracks a joke. But the drinks where a tad expensive, expect to spend at least £5+ for simple/basic drinks!
D. H.
Great outside space for beers, didn't try the food but will next time!
B. B.
Great pub and at its best when the sun is shining... Huge beer garden, wooden huts (not sure what for but they look cute), and a beach volleyball style area makes it a great afternoon out. Also outside but undercover seating make perfect for when it is a bit cooler.
A. A.
Great place. Workers are very nice and friendly. Nice outdoor space for kids and great food.
N. W.
Great drinks selection and great food. Lovely outdoor space for the afternoon.
H. F.
Great outdoor space, and nice interior too! They do good food, the staff are always polite and look like they're actually pleased to see you. Can't be beat on a warm day.
J. W.
Pleasant staff, the overall atmosphere between staff cheerful and positive.
Whilst only at L B for a drink the Sunday lunch/food on offer was particularly appetizing!
Next time round food will be part of the experience!
J. C.
Having a lovely time I have five mates and they're all here the James is nice and lovely 🔥🔥🔥 service is nice and the drinks are nice try the Heineken come to the quiz issa good laugh as they'd say in Ireland. X
H. T. -. T.
Rumours to be the biggest pub garden in South London
L. R.
This has the best beer garden in Earlsfield. The staff are always friendly and do as much as they can for you. I cannot recommend this place enough!
j.
Excellent menu and amazing food...very friendly staff
R. F.
Really disappointing - ordered at the bar, food arrived, my daughter’s beef burger was raw inside. Our roast beef wasn’t just raw, it was mooing; even the gravy couldn’t disguise the fact it was uncooked. We never got the chidren’s menu puddings. I had asked for no potatoes with mine. It came second time (after a 20 minute wait) with mash and roast potatoes. I couldn’t be bothered to send it back. Friends we were there to have lunch with couldn’t order at all as the kitchen was temporarily closed. They came to tell us as we were ready to go that orders were now going through. First time there and I’m not sure I’ll be going back soon.
P. W.
Uplifting to see people enjoying themselves in the beer garden after the awful year we have had.
P. P.
Great pub, awesome (huge) beer garden with a burger shack and you can hire private "huts". Decent food (massive Sunday roast) and friendly staff. Also dog friendly! :)
N. M.
The garden here is fantastic. Plenty of room and child and dog friendly. Absolute delight on a summers evening BUT it's really pricey for its location. £5 a pint... Ouch
H. M.
My favourite local pub - like a village pub in London, with a massive garden. Hard to find. Only improvement could be a wider menu when sitting outside in the summer, as you can only get burgers. But still - highly recommend!
M. C.
The beer garden is lovely however the food wasn't anything to rave about and the service wasn't the friendliest or the quickest. If you are going for drinks in the sun with a big group of friends it's a great set up!
A. W.
They do a really good pub quiz on a Wednesday night. The food is better inside than at the burger shack outside, even the burgers. The beer selection on tap is reasonable but a little pricey.
D. C.
Nice place for food and drinks. If you think it's small in the front bar area please explore the back garden which has loads of space. The food was very good.
J. d. W.
My partner and I decided to pop into The Leather Bottle whilst in the area last Tuesday evening... What a pleasure!!! The sever/manager on duty was incredibly polite, the service was impeccable and the setting was stunning. Whilst the fire was roaring in the fireplace, we ordered our meals - Artisan Bread board with Balsamic reduction, olive oil and butter. For mains, I had the 8oz Rump Steak with Chunky Chips and Madagascar Green Peppercorn sauce, and my fiance had the Fish and Chips with mushy peas and a lovely tartare sauce. My steak was a perfectly-cooked Med-Rare and oh, so tender! My partner's fish was moist and flaky and super delicious!!!
I would highly recommend this little gem, and we can't wait to come back. Well done!!
J. A.
Cute pub, great garden and superb service. Loved the Sunday roast
M. C.
Great back garden, lovely atmosphere!
J. F.
Really nice building built in 16 something. The rooms are nice and well decorated although the shower was not great. The digital switch over meant that I didn't have any TV channels so the owner kindly lent me his DVD player with a few DVDs to watch. Wifi signal is almost non existent unless you are sitting near the reception but I guess the building's thick walls have something to do with that. Internet is very slow but again you can't blame the hotel for that. The bed was very comfortable and I got a great nights sleep although have to say that as my room (Room 5) was above the bar, I could hear the football and music going on down below. For a light sleeper that might be an issue although it wasn't for me.
Food was OK ish. My burger was reasonable and the chips were OK. The mixed fruit crumble had only apple in it which was shame but it was tasty never-the-less.
What did stand out was the excellent and well cooked breakfast, very above normal standard.
k. S.
Spent the evening with friends in the shepherd hut, a good fun nite had by all. Found the staff, helpful, fun & hardworking. Though I didn't eat, big thumbs up for food which was tasty, good size portions, say those who did. Would return
B. B. (.
We are an Earlsfield group who meet a couple of times a year. Our latest was this week and out of a group of 11, 5 people were disappointed with their meal, 2 were satisfied and 4 didn't comment. Always met at the LB in the past and it's been fine. Something I've never come across before was one lady doing both waitressing and serving at the bar with no help. A very nice girl though and she coped very well. Trying somewhere else next time.
L. B.
Good food, nice service, comfortable atmosphere.
L. C.
Good music selection, laid back atmosphere, staff friendly and attentive, huuuuuge foresty garden. If around, will definitely visit again.
G. M.
By wide repute this is the "best pub" in Earlsfield,. It's outside seating area is enormous and has a capacity of over a 100. An ideal place for groups and parties or watching the disk at the weekend.
M. K.
I loved the food, and wine. The service was first class. The pudding I had was more like a strudel than a crumble but good to finish the dinner with!
S. W.
Really nice... Good food and lovely staff.
E. T.
Really nice and big beer garden. Very friendly staff too.
D. M.
I’m obsessed with this place it has the best garden. Lovely staff (especially Irish Ed) great food and super dog friendly
M. N.
From the front looks like a normal pub, but this has an amazing beer garden. Perfect for summer drinks, and some of the nest burgers in england (coming from an aussie burger connoisseur;)
S. M.
Wonderful quirky pub. Great range of beers. Friendly staff. Didn't try the food but an interesting menu
m. w.
Celebrated a 50th birthday party in the board room. Fantastic venue! Very helpful staff, brought up extra chairs, found music for the teenagers! Excellent food!
P. B.
Beautiful blue cheese burger!
P. M.
Best beer garden in London, although near Wimbledon. It has tree houses, ping pong tables, a volleyball pitch, fairy lights, about 20 tables in the garden, music, tvs (where you can actually watch the football while being outside)... Great in the summer.
D. A.
Nice pub quiz evening with athletics club. Lovely pub and environment (yay to the fairy lights!). Cute Irish pub quiz host ehehe
J. M.
Very good food and great service
M. B.
The location, decor and vibe of the pub are great, however the food ordered came out lukewarm; I thought it was just me but a few other people had the same issue. That was taken up by management and sorted, so kudos to them for rectifying. The ladies toilets were also flooded, with no "wet floor" sign to alert us of the potential danger of slipping. I'm sure on any other day it is fine (and I would go back) but those two things (especially the toilet situation) were definitely off putting, hence the 3 stars.
A. W.
Taking social distancing very seriously with good indoor and outdoor planning and an additional external toilet block. Excellent roasts as usual!
N. R.
Definitely one when the sun is shining, they do a good bbq over the weekends and great when any sporting tournament is on the TV. Also good for a top Sunday roast dinner with all the trimmings. Fully stocked bar and cocktail menu and not bad prices. Cosy in the winter and lovely in the summer. Also do an awesome fireworks display in November and definitely one to check out while you're in Earlsfield.
S. C.
Beer is ok if pricey. Low score because food isn't good value and the place is like a creche, kids running around every where.. No such thing as a peaceful drink especially in good weather.
R. M.
A lovely place to spend the afternoon with the family with a good beer garden. When’s we take our kids there we feel at home and the food is decent too.
F. G.
In the summer this place is buzzing with activity. It has a lovely, very good size beer garden. Prices are a little expensive but nothing worse than the rest of London.
D. G.
The staff are simply amazing there. Great environment and food. The garden is huge and great for summer drinks out. Love it.
D. D.
Big Thank you to all the team from Donna and Waitrose Wandsworth Partners. Such a warm welcoming pub, staff, service and food outstanding. 2 events within 6 months.
B. B.
Like a country pub in the middle of South West London. Beautiful, historic place with amazing garden area. Plus a gorgeous log fire in winter. What more could you want?
w. w.
Greatly improved garden area, looking very stylish now, had not been there for years, so was very impressed with what they have done, huge outdoor flat screen tv showing the tennis, outdoor bar area, outside toliets, patchy grass all replaced with new artificial fitted grass, very practical, vareity of seating areas and styles from bench to patio comfy seating to tables and chairs, all seating had their own parasols to keep off the strong sun. All in all a perfect summer after noon. 5 star !
M. K.
Upon entering the Leather Bottle, patrons will find themselves greeted by friendly staff with top notch service. Behind the shabby chic interior of the leather bottle there is a superb beer garden which can only be described as a inner city paradise where beach volleyball, table tennis and jumbo size jenga are all on the Menu. A fantastic place to wind down after a hectic day in the city.
A. H.
I visited with my sister it woz her birthday,it was a lovely sunny Day so we sat out in their large garden and enjoyed a beer while chatting,it had a lovely atmosphere, but not to loud, which in this neck of the woods is rear.
J. B.
Decent pub in Earlsfield. Good beer selection, and had some nice bar snacks on offer (home made scotch eggs!). Expensive drinks (£10 for a pint and a glass of wine)
M. v. A.
Now that summer is here, the Leather Bottle's outside bbq garden is the place to be!
So relaxing, and a great lively atmosphere with music and family crowds.
Drinks are cheap too!
J. H.
Amazing burger. Stopped by whilst working locally. Looks pretty decent for groups. Large outside area and big tables and seating areas.
C. G.
Fantastic beer garden. Would have been 5 stars if not for the worst DJ ever (Saturday 29th June 2019). Shame on you.
a. j.
Whilst this is a pleasant pub the drink prices are higher than many other pubs
A pint of beer and a medium white wine charged at £10.35p
Would you believes they had run out of house white so I had to have pinot
Surely they should have made the pinot the house white in that case.
N. N.
Really friendly staff and really nice place. We'll kept with decent food and reasonably priced drinks. Nice cocktails too.
R. M.
Nice pub, but the burger was small and tasteless and chips cold
C. M.
Great pub with an exciting outside space that is family friendly and has a wonderful atmosphere. Typically slow service as the bar but for some reason that is to be expected in London
S. G.
Decent local with fab beer garden but service a bit hit and miss and queues in summer for food/drink are often long
D. H.
Great pub. Amazing outdoor space. Great to book for a group of you looking to go day drinking in the summer.
J. P.
Nice food , lovely beer garden. It hadoesn't a good atmosphere for all. Best to book a table in summer months
C. S.
Lovely pub, although service was very slow with the app ordering system
A. B.
Service is a bit slow. Food ok, but a little expensive for what it is. The atmosphere is lovely and the garden is fantastic in the summer.
G. a. A. J.
Great venue for a birthday. Menu is limited and service is slow. Great garden with live music on Saturdays and a good bar.
S. A. P.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely place.
E. A.
Absolutely loved the place and the beer garden!
B. B.
Lovely pub. Very friendly staff. Enormous garden with lots of shaded areas and comfortable seating.
B. C.
Great venue, wonderful staff, fantastic food
C. R.
Great atmosphere in the garden for a hot summer's evening. Disappointing beer selection, though.
D. H.
Recently went to my aunt's wake following her funeral. Staff couldn't do enough to help, and provided splendid food and pleasant surroundings.
E. C.
Great beer garden and inside has a lot of character. Haven't eaten here yet but will do soon
T. R.
I've not experienced this place in the summer, but it looks like it comes into it's own with warm weather. Friendly, but mulled wine was expensive and very little in glasses. I'll check it out again in the summer!!
S. O.
Really nice vibe and live music in the garden..
D. D. P. E. S.
Lovely garden area with cosy huts
G. D.
Good food and beer. Better coming late at night though as it’s become very ‘family’ orientated. Lots a parents who don’t want to look after their children and just let them run around screaming. Shame really.
Z. S.
Love the decor and setup, beautiful and large garden area! Very atmospheric. Also, the staff is great & friendly. Will be returning! :)
A. W.
It's a bright and airy space and the staff were friendly. The quiz and its host are awesome on a Wednesday.
K. P.
The outdoor space is really good, tables arranged appropriately. Had a Sunday roast unfortunately that was disappointing 😕.
E. T.
This pub is so beautiful and garden is lovely ( they are massive). Next time definitely I will try some food
A. G.
Nice pub great surroundings and atmosphere lovely garden area, shame about the lunch menu, as I person with specific food requirements I found it difficult to get a simple lunch.
M. J.
Amazing pub. Good food, nice atmosphere. Lovely people. Beautiful garden.
D. H.
Great location and outdoor space. Relatively expensive food...
d. w.
Love the leather bottle, great food, drink and service. Oh and dog friendly 👌🏻

Good Crab salad and a pint of local wallop, getting us back to normal.
K. M.
Good beer garden
Veg burger was at restaurant prices but lower quality than a chipper
F. R.
Fantastic beer garden for a sunny day
A.
Charlie from front of house is an absolute legend and made for a fantastic experience. Cheers Charlie!!
C. H.
Nice outdoor space, attentive staff and well handled flow of people and bookings, but food was below par
N.
It's an ok pub. Huge garden space, needs to improve on the food offering.
E. D.
Great beer garden and atmosphere great for outdoor events and has food stalls, child friendly I would definately go back again

Good food, Great service.
S. J.
I had a very good time at the quiz. It was really fun, and the quizmaster is a legend
R. Q.
Good choice of wines and beers, huge beer garden with BBQ in summer and outside bar. However, it is very expensive and, surprisingly, there are no veggie options on the menu.
M. S.
Pub quiz on Wednesdays is fantastic, we try to go every week! The beer garden is also incredible
S. T.
Friendly staff, have come here a few times to watch sports and enjoy a drink in the large garden. Roast was good.
R. G.
An amazing pub garden. Ideal for the whole family. Excellent burgers and reasonable priced drinks.
R. T.
Great food, great beer and friendly staff. What more do you need in a pub?
C. H.
Great pub. Bad food. Go for a pint and you'll love it. Go for outdoor wings and burgers, and (if you have any sense) you'll hate it.
M. S.
Awesome outdoor area, super fast service. Great vibes.
A. P.
With plenty of tables outside, quick share of number and name at entrance, and good choice of beer, and ales.
S. M.
Lovely ambience. Great food. Incredibly good and cheerful service. Nice for a friends / family outing.
M. D.
Good pub but one of the best beer gardens around.
S. H.
Great place to go with family. Outside area very cosy. Staff friendly.
H. L.
Amazing atmosphere, great staff. A touch pricey but that's in respect of my pocket not others. Amazing place though.

D. P.
Haven't been here for a while. Good to see that not much has changed, still very good food and brilliant atmosphere, eating outside in the summer weather.
T. S.
Nice pub, a little expensive but similar to prices in the area. Large beer garden which gets very busy on sunny days.
A. H.
Absolutely amazing bar staff was exceptional especially camille she was really nice and friendly and the service was outstanding 100% would recommend going for a nice quiet drink or for the fine dining experience
V. W.
Very big garden and food always good. Due to volume of people you may need to wait so not the place for quick lunch
D. L.
Lovely old historic Earlsfield pub. Deceptively big when you get inside with large restaurant area at the back and massive beer garden.
A. o.

The perfect summer pub with a decent menu too.
And a car park.

S. F.
Arrived at 12.45 and left at 4.30. A very relaxed lunch, meals tasty and generous. Service very attentive.
k. w.
Ok but not the local pub that was buzzing 40 years ago, a little bit lacking in atmosphere but pleasant enough.
P. C.
Lovely Rear garden area with a Burger shack. Dog friendly.
Reasonable prices
Good atmosphere
D. E.
Good service and huge beer garden at the back
J. D.

A peerless beer garden - biggest I’m aware of in London - makes this a great spot for summer sessions.
C. G.
Huge Earlsfield pub with a massive beer garden. Ping Pong and an outdoor barby in the summer. Ice rink and cosy log cabins in the winter!
A. U.
