Reviews of Savage Garden LDN
P.
Fantastic venue! Great service and amazing views of London City. Great drinks menu and tasty snacks. Had great seats near the window and enjoyed a great few hours drinking Cava and enjoying the experience. Great fella working here from Bulgaria who is a real asset to the venue!
E. N.
Savage Garden is a must-see bar for anyone who likes cocktails, beautiful views and a bit of opulence. It's truly stunning and the staff are really lovely. Still not serving food but you can order olives, plantain chips or nuts as bar snacks.
F. P.
Brilliant views of the cityscape. I was pleasantly surprised upon ascending from the streets below to this 12th floor bar. Balconies, outdoor seating, and large windows with open bay windows have commanding views of several landmarks including the Tower Bridge.
G. A.
Delicious signature drinks and lovely service! Definitely one of the best hotel bars in London with lovely views. Will look forward to the Summer for outdoor drinks.
O. S.
Excellent location and views of the city skyline.
They only had a reduced menu when we visited which was very disappointing.
The staff were friendly however we did experience long waits for our drinks to be delivered which I put down to reduced staffing levels due to Christmas.
Very nice decor and excellent roof terrace almost as large and as good as that of Madison's.
Certainly a place to visit on a summers day and evening.
The nightime views of the London skyline particularly the Shard, Gerkhin and Tower Bridge are excellent.
G. S. W.
Stunning bar with some of the best views of London added to my list of top bars on blog 'Gone Sun Where' Best seats in the house are the alfresco tables facing Tower Bridge. With unspoilt views of canary wharf to the left and the shard to the right. I advise booking to arrive just before sunset. Didn't enjoy my cocktail the Poppy field at all. Kitchen wasn't open when we visited so can't comment on the food. Service was really good.
K. M.
Wanted to book pre-dinner drinks around 7.30pm but there were no tables for 4 available after 6.45pm, so booked for then. Duly arrived and was seated near the back (no views, unless you count the internal courtyard of the hotel) and was surprised to see plenty of empty tables throughout the evening until we left. Bit annoying really. Cocktails were good and service was friendly though.

A nice little spot for small and big parties. When the weather is nice there is even seating outside. Great view of London city, if you are able to get seats.
Service is attentive and quick.
Making reservations would make life easier, especially during these times.
I really hard spot to find considering it is on the roof of the Hilton Hotel. Asking reception they will kindly guide you where it is.
b.
Lovely cocktail bar with great views of Tower Bridge and the shard. Food is not currently available, drinks only. Do note 12.5% service charge also.
A. G.
Stunning views from this rooftop bar of Tower Bridge, Tower of London and the Shard. Nice wine and cocktails, but bigger selection of cocktails would be an improvement, along with stronger cider and wider lager selection if nitpicking.
L. O.
Great bar, and even greater staff. I booked them and requested something for my boyfriend's birthday and they came through! They made his birthday that bit more special. If I could give 10 stars I would.
A. D.
Stunning views of London at night. Roof top bar and balcony seats available. Lot's of space to choose from, outdoor heating / seating areas available.
Polite service.

One of my favourite bars in London! Thank you to all the staff, with a special thanks to Katie and Carlos.
I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone at Savage Garden LDN. It is always such a pleasure going there and I forgot just how much I love it. We visited Savage over the weekend for my friend's birthday and was reminded of the incredible views, amazing staff, fantastic cocktails and brilliant music!
The staff are so attentive, kind, proactive and their energy and vibe was on point - I am so grateful. Having wonderful staff really does make the experience even more delightful and that extra bit special. I would like to say a special thank you to Katie and Carlos for being so hospitable and kind. I had the best time and most importantly, my friend did too. Thank you.
J. L.
Great views IF you get a table in the right spot which we didn't...even though it was mostly empty as the tables had been reserved for an hours time.
Drinks were overly expensive but good...stayed for one and decided to leave as not much atmosphere but we were there around 6pm so may have been a time thing.
N. R.
Really good selection of drink and cocktails. Quick service. Exceptionally polite, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Great views and atmosphere. We wanted to stay longer and they rejigged the table plan to accommodate. Definitely return when weather nicer to sit outside!
A. S.
Cute rooftop spot. Fairly busy when I went. But they let us move to the terrace when our table booking ended.
D. L.
The view is amazing keep in mind you have to book on line b4 they will let you go and have a drink up here you can't just go up there has I found out
S. R.
Love this bar great atmosphere and the views are incredible . The staff are welcoming and fun. Thanks guys
K. B.
This seems a nice place to visit during your stay. I like the fact that there places where you can sit outside whilst feeling 'inside'. Roof covering but with fresh air is able to circulate very well. However my companion was not at all confortable with the height so be aware!
M. H.
Cocktails with a fantastic London view, and the bartender was happy to make us cocktails that weren’t on the menu. If you hadn’t been there before - the elevators are at the back of the hotel entrance lobby.
S. V.
Upscale roof top Bar, which takes a service charge, could make more effort to explain their payment arrangement (either in person or on their website) which requires credit card to be handed over for a key in return.
May be just that it was my first experience of this arrangement, but it was a bit confusing nevertheless.
R.
Relaxed rooftop bar right next to Tower Hill station with great views over Tower Bridge.
Smart bar with a good amount of outside space.
On a sunny day in london it’s a good choice. Bar staff and waiters were always on hand and were helpful.
Would def recommend for a meet-up with friends in the day. Didn’t stay late but looked like they had a setup for a DJ in the evening.
D. D. R.
Great upscale bar with fancy pantsy prices. Amazing view from the roof terrace will give you the feeling of being at the heart of the meteopolis (which you are). Outside area could be cleaner. Music is a bit too loud. Why not take out the beats and make it more loungy? Staff was friendly.
J. p.
Views are the best for a rooftop bar. Cocktails from the menu however aren't as good as they used to be.
H. M.
Brilliant vibrant bar on 12th floor of Double Tree Hilton. Fantastic bar worthy of 5 stars. Only drawback is queuing for the lifts - bit when visiting the bar and as a hotel resident. Hence the 4 star review. One night we queued for 10 minutes for a lift up to our 6th floor room. Stairs are non existent apart from the fire escapes!
A. C.
Great views with decent service and drinks. Both terraces have umbrellas or a roof, so no problems even on a rainy day.
G. L.
Beautiful place with a vibrant atmosphere. Food and cocktails were a little pricey though.
A. “. Z.
Lush views, towering within The Shard and The Tower Bridge is in the distance. Just 5 mins walk from Tower Hill Station it’s located on the rooftop of DoubleTree Hilton Hotel. It gets popular by evening as everyone will walk towards the same direction to the hotel entrance.
The mocktails (even for a non alcoholic) are quite pricey £8 each! But you’re paying for the view and it’s worth it. I would suggest you spend some time in the evening after sunset, because the night view of London is just amazing!
I even saw Dr Alex (from Love Island) dating with his girlfriend here surprisingly. It’s quite famous among few well known celebrities around this area. Perfect for date nights and hangout after Friday work.
w. t.
A place to get a brid eye view of London city from its roof top. Great space for business meetings. Cocktails r awesome but the prices r as sky high too. Bar guy charged £2 extra from the price list on each beer bottle I have ordered coz of friends group. Worth to visit for the view, not for anything else.
J. H.
Nice place, outdoor space is great. Indoors the music is too loud for an form of conversation and I must admit the cocktails were too eclectic for our taste. Go here for something a bit different
W. N.
Superior view in outside sitting area ! The staff is very nice and they recommend some drinks for you, not so crowd and I would recommend if you want to have a nice view like sky garden, you can pick here as well !
C. H.
Amazing views but.... drinks are overpriced, service just about okay, as they automatically add the service charge at 12.5% staff don't really need to work for their tips, don't bother with the squid sticks 3 measly pieces really badly cooked for £10! Beef Sliders were fantastic although served on a bone which looked a bit odd.... ordered the injectable donuts but the waitress failed to mention they had no syringes left until the said donuts arrived! Overall an average experience and wouldn't return
D. C.
Very slow service with the drinks on the terrace on a Friday afternoon. Come here for a decent view of Tower Bridge.
Lifts are the left hand side elevators after you walk by the Hilton Double Tree hotel reception
T. T.
It's a nice place with amazing roof top terrace and view over London and Tower Bridge. The DJ is playing music on the weekend at least. It's quite expensive tho. But if you are visiting London it worth to go up and enjoy the view.
C. L.
This bar is located inside the Double Tree Hotel which you obviously need to take an elevator up to the top to see those killer views. The host was kind enough to walk us through the whole bar to show us around and see where we’d prefer to sit. I ordered an old fashioned and sat outside which to my surprise had picture perfect views of the city. It was around near sunset that I arrived (perfect time to go) but the host did say that the place gets busier later in the day. 10/10.
S. O.
Great view, really cool vibe and decoration and amazing cocktails (the best espresso martini I have had)
J. G.
AMAZING!!! great views over the roof tops towards Tower Bridge and the City. Wife says the best Daiquiri shes ever had!!! Excellent chilled out DJ and not too loud
M. W.
Love it. Great rooftop bar. Amazing views. First class service.
M. A.
All the other reviewers will probably say this as well but.....THE VIEW IS AMAZING!!!!!!
Was invited by some friends whilst I was visiting London and I couldn't thank them enough. Absolutely amazing view over Tower Hill, Tower Bridge and lots of other areas over London.
Be sure to take your camera for those pics you'll always love. This place was made for panoramic photos.
My only qualm on the day we visited was that the beer could've been colder but the view kinda negated that.
Can't wait to go again.
T. B.
Classy bar/restaurant located on the 12th floor, with stunning views of Tower bridge and the Shard.
Had a great New Year's Eve here. Prices are not too bad, considering the type of establishment.
Food is OK. My only criticism is that it took quite long to arrive. Nevertheless, had a lovely time.
江.
Beautiful view, nice staff, creative cocktails
B. T.
Cool redesign of the place (formerly known as the skylounge), but it's not as nice as it could have been. The view on the Castle and the towerbridge and everything around it is the real reason you should definitely visit it! They do have a great kitchen and splendid cocktails tho!
I. D.
Amazing place, perfect view and very professional staff!! I need to mention Marko, who was taking care of us. Definitely will go back again and highly recommend to visit
J.
Lovely staff and views are amazing, very relaxed, chilled evening
A. S.
The sky lounge has stunning views of the city so if you have friends over on on a date this place is great to go. It's a place to start or end up but wouldn't stay too long as the prices are also sky high.
A. H.
Great views over London city. Sat outside under canopies with virtually everyone else smoking so it got a little unpleasant. Shame, as the cocktails were great.
J. S.
Amazing views, delicious cocktails. Even the coffee was good.
A. K.
Rooftop bar on the 12th floor in Double Tree by Hilton. The view is nice, but partly blocked by the surrounding buildings. Prices are quite high but the pizza baked in front of you is one of the best.
A.
Nice bar & You can see London from above, Cocktails are a bit expensive
B. S.
Not bad but for my liking too crowded, overpriced and overrated. On a sunny day as we went it was difficult to get staff's attention and we've had to wait a while for our drinks. Gin cocktails make up for it though! 😀
E. L. G.
Savage Garden is a beautiful rooftop bar in London on the 12th floor of the Double Tree by Hilton in Tower Bridge. The bar boasts stunning views overlooking some of London’s most iconic landmarks including Tower Bridge and the Shard. The Wildside Terrace is perfect for alfresco dining and watching the sunset of an evening. For those winter months, the roof is retractable, meaning it can be a rooftop destination all year round!
The interiors are bold and decadent with marble floors, vibrant colours and bespoke artworks. The bar is high end without being too pretentious, which is always a winning combination.
Mixologist Andre Cavalheiro has developed an experimental cocktail menu at Savage Garden. Creative concoctions include Horny Beast (£15): Beefeater Pink Gin, Aluna Coconut Rum, almond, lime, green strawberry, smoke and oak bitters, apple, rhubarb and cinnamon soda served with a strawberry, lime and black pepper cracker. The cinnamon soda shone through but did not overpower the drink which had light coconut tones.
The Bitter & Twisted from the ‘Liquorless’ section (£9) was impressive. With seedlip spiced non alcohol, aperitif syrup, apple & rhubarb soda and a tongue kiss of cinnamon, this packed a punch!
From the gin menu we had the Lady Pink with Beefeater Pink, wild strawberries & herbs de provence, and Franklin & Sons Tonic. This was served in a large gin balloon spritz style which was perfect in the summer weather. Alongside the creative cocktail menu, Savage Garden offers an extensive wine and champagne list as well as a wide selection of premium spirits and beers.
The menu at Savage Garden features unexpected flavour combinations including smaller sharing dishes and larger dishes. We were impressed with the roasted cauliflower with labne, zhoug, chilli roasted ancient grains and craisins (£12). For larger groups there are meat, pescatarian and vegetarian platters to share.
We loved the injectable doughnuts served with salted caramel sauce and strawberry and basil sauce. They were four warm sugary balls of goodness that you self-inject with the sauce and then tuck in!
Savage Garden is a beautiful rooftop bar in London with amazing views and cocktails. Expect to feel special in this amazing space and therefore be prepared to pay a little more than normal.
J. M.
Stunning views, friendly staff, great range of drinks, expected London prices. Popular and busy. Lots of different sections to choose to sit in.
A. V.
Great cocktails, nice staff, spectacular view. Impress your girl with this rooftop bar.
H. O.
Lovely little rooftop bar, delicious liqorless cocktails, fantastic views.
U.
Only went to grab a beer and sit on the balcony overlooking London on a cold winters night. Great but comes at a cost!
C. B.
Great views, London prices for drinks.
M. I.
Amazing rooftop bar. The view is magnificent. When you add a well served gin tonic it becomes even better.
A. H.
Great place with some fantastic live music on all through the day. Prices seemed fine too. Great place to pop in for a little drink or two in the middle of the day. Clientele all seemed cheerful and talkative. Some people in there were even on there own, enjoying the music and making new friends.
A. S.
It took too long to get served with drinks but it was lovely when we got it and the food was superb!
D. M.
Fantastic bar, with a cracking view. Quite a dark modern look and feel, and there looked to be a good outdoor area but it was January so a bit cold to be out there. Excellent selection of drinks and cocktails and the service was fantastic. Prices are what you expect to pay in London.
A. W.
Fantastic views of London! Fast friendly service. Great cocktails! You guys complete the Hilton :-)
P. H.
Fab venue, wonderful views. Helpful, friendly staff. My Gaming Table supplied Fun Casino Tables for a corporate event.
N. V.
The food is excellent the cocktail even better. Great view on the bridge. Excellent place
H. B.
Our waiter Janko was welcoming and hilarious, me and my friend had the best time and the views are gorgeous! Thank you so much
S. H.
Breathtaking views and staff were very attentive.
Will definitely book again.
A. S.
Great view, good food. My friends loved the cocktails.
J.
Fabulous views, arrive just before dusk and watch the city light up. Truly beautiful. The cocktails are fabulous, quite loud ambience with good club style background music. Friendly staff behind the bar. Views like this from a small, quite nice bar don't come cheap so expect to pay top dollar for the drinks and snacks. Worth visiting if your celebrating or just to walk in and check the view.
J. x.
Great views over Tower Bridge & Shard
B. C.
Great views and lovely cocktails - mentioned that we didn't want empty glasses and the manager was very attentive.
D. G.
Stunning views!!! Great experience and helpful staff and excellent service!
S. C.
The cocktails are delicious and very reasonably priced. Service was great
A. S.
Good music, cocktails, great views....
M. G.
Beautiful setting with great service once you get in
K. E.
Very kind and knowledgeable staff, fantastic cocktails and wonderful view.
Also the food is very interesting.

I’ve booked a table to celebrate my partner’s birthday. It was a great experience. Great place, excellent service and amazing prices. The team is exceptional, specially the bar manager and the Italian waitress who provided one of the best customer service ever. Nice and chilled music playing throughout. It will be a definite come back for us.
M. K.
Great bar with exceptional views and friendly service!
R. S.
Yanko (our waiter) was the highlight of this venue. Give that man a raise! We will be back but only for Yanko’s incredible service and kindness
R. T.
Excellent views, the drinks were delicious, and the staff (from the doorman, to security, to the bartenders) were extremely nice and welcoming. Yes, a drink is 15 pounds - but as a tourist it was definitely worth my time and money!
J. L.
The vibe is amazing. Really cool place for Summertime drinks. The view is awesome: Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, the City and the Shard can all be seen from the rooftop (get ready to shoot your best intagram pics). Definitely the place to impress your next date.
A. R.
Wonderful view, on one side the classical London, on the other one it seems being in the tops of NYC. Perfect for one drink and some food
M. M.
A friend introduced me to the Sky Bar. It's located on an high elevation in a hotel. The view is very impressive overlooking the London Bridge in the distance. Which is the main attraction to this bar. The atmosphere is one of chic, elegance and sophistication. The drinks are relatively reasonable for such surroundings and location. Staff are friendly. For a night time view of London, over a nice drink, this place is a must.
J. E. C. (.
Amazing. Lovely staff. The drinks and the bar staff are wicked. Best cocktails I have ever had (I'm not a massive drinker) but have had cocktails before.
Cocktails are £12 - £15 each. We went on a Saturday evening/night and it was busy but still got a table pretty quick! Check it out.
S. B.
Amazing views of London and a great bar atmosphere
M. L.
Good drinks, great view, coming back
L. S.
Went for a bday party, pizzas were really good. Very nice London view
K.
Great views and decent cocktails.
N. V.
Great place for cocktails and food.. the views of Tower Bridge and the Shard are amazing! The members of staff are really friendly and offer great service!! Would definitely recommend and we ll be back soon!!
C. A.
Great place to celebrate birthday drinks! On the pricey side but you're paying for the view. Vibe and crowd were both cool. Would be perfect for summertime hangouts on the outdoor terrace overlooking tower bridge.
s. s.
Great views and good drinks. I can't comment on the food, as I didn't try any, but the staff is friendly as well as the crowd. If you are here for business the bar is a great place to sight see ( the view) without needing to go out.
N. S.
Avoid at busy times (evenings on working days). I try to go during non-busy times so you can choose your seat near a window to admire the views. It's not that high (around 15th floor I think), but high enough for some pretty decent views as my photos show. Nice selection of cocktails. Very expensive though but that's to be expected. Service is very good during non-busy times, but not so much during peak times (again, that's to be expected).
T. R.
If you are looking to take a client or romance someone, this is a pretty good place to go. It's rare these two groups of people should be taken to the same location and yet SkyLounge manages to create both a professional swanky environment with a cosy, romantic jaw dropping view.
The cocktails are absolutely delicious but aren't the cheapest. We had a selection from the menu and they were absolutely gorgeous but on the small side and you didn't get much change from £15 per drink. Our waitress was the best waitress I have ever had, she was professional and friendly and had a memory like a bear trap.
The food here isn't up to much in my opinion. While nothing was awful it was all just a bit bland, small and majorly overpriced. Come for the drinks, stay for the view and then leave and get dinner somewhere else.
B. T.
Stunning view from the beautiful terrace! Food is good quality and choice is fine also for veggies (me). Signature cocktails are ace, regular cocktails are average (Bloody Mary seemed pre-made as they could not do a non-spicy one for my friend). Overall a tad pricey but you pay for the view :) Worth booking a table for food and drinks, bar service is a bit slow.
D. D.
Very nice place. Took a while to get served even though we had a table. Thought we had a designated attendant but it was a 'grab one when you see one' scenario. Lovely view, and good tunes. Lovely set up
H. B.
Amazing views, obviously you pay a premium for it on the drinks being London prices anyway, which was expected. Great surroundings and music, but I was slightly disappointed in the lack of choice of drinks if you weren't ordering cocktails.
D. S.
Nice place for a evening drink while watching the skyline of London!
R. A.
A perfect place to take someone out of town for a drink, or if you want to impress someone. The view is great - especially at night when everything is lit-up. Having said that, the drinks are on the expensive side (even for London!) and the music they play in the background is awful. If you go during the evening I'd suggest ringing ahead and booking a table/area as it can get busy.
D. N.
The views from the Skylounge are quite impressive, along with a large terrace which is great in the summer. I've visited the Skylounge a couple of times for lunch over the summer and they have some great light meals and virgin cocktails. I can imagine it would be great in the evening too, especially with the views over Tower Bridge and the Thames being lit up. Be prepared to pay for the privilege though.
P. H.
Great views and good selection of drinks and bar food.
L. M.
Brilliant place. Must visit
H. H.
Went on a Mon evening in the summer so relatively uncrowded. More a business crowd rather than a tourist crowd as you might expect. Prices on the high side, £6 for a beer! and a more reasonable £7.50 for a glass of wine. But worth it for the views!
D. T.
Great roof top bar, excellent atmosphere and amazing views. Wait time the bar can be excessive however my biggest critic is the nice little Havana cocktail bar on the roof which has a till is CASH ONLY! That's right, premium bar, premium drinks, but cash only.
I. D. H. C. i. D.
Great views over London. Attentive service
H. F. C.
Ok selection of cocktails, but limited choice of food - acceptable for a lunch snack. It's comfortable if you're able to get a seat, and they have warmers under the canopies. It being an outside bar, you can expect a lot of smokers. The views to one side of the roof toward the river are not bad, but the building isn't really high enough for the 'wow factor' as it's overshadowed by taller neighbouring buildings.
z.
Great bar and incredible view. Service is good, there is a nice variery of cocktails and yes it is a bit expensive, but you are paying for that view. At night is pne of the best places to look at London bridge.
R. M.
Great place to meet for drinks and take in some good views of the City, especially in the summer
K. T.
Love this bar! Amazing views of most of London's famous skyline landmarks. Much more of a bar to talk in than dance and fantastic in the summer as the outside seating area is of a fair size, with lots of seating.
D. R.
Went for a set party. Starters were really good. Had a private bar area for the group. The staters were served at good frequency. Staff was really helpful. The lady at revel reception greeted us and helped us keep the coats and luggage in the secure storage area . Overall ambience was good. Views are pretty good. It's on the 12th floor. Shard can be seen on one side.
R. S.
Was there for lunch. Basic menu but food was ok. Nothing exceptional. Good range of drinks. Nice view over the river and great to be outside on a sunny day. Extensive outdoor seating area. The view is its best feature. Otherwise just another London bar really.
R. F.
Cosy a beautiful view, great for dates
J. H.
Drinks very pricey and wasn't impressed with the Pina Colata it wasn't creamy and tasted of water because of all the ice. Lovely views though.
S. C.
Awesome for cocktails and seeing the London skyline
f.
Open from Thursday to Sunday. Make a reservation if you're planning a weekend visit. Currently no food options (May 2021)
E. R.
Great location, overlooking the city and the beautiful skyline. Nice alternative to the Sky Garden or Sushisamba. Staff really friendly and attentive, Daniele at the Reception and Rebecca in the restaurant! We went for a birthday celebration and they went out of their way to make us feel special!
P. M. B.
Lunch at SkyLound Bar.
Very nice day on the terrace, lovely views towards tower bridge. Food was fairly good, with some nice salad options and a lunchtime menu special. Food arrived quickly. Staff was pleasant and friendly, but perhaps not the most attentive.
D. S.
Nice rooftop bar with great views of the Tower and the Thames. Bit on the pricey side. Last time I was here, I was forced to give my card as a deposit, despite having been here multiple times over the years and never having to do this before
H. K.
My friend brought me here to impress me with the view. He said he brings all his business clients there when they're from out of town...AND I now see why! Amazing view of the tower bridge! best view at night in town.
Also, their martini drinks are impressive!
I highly recommend trying the mojito martini or the porn star (i don't think it's on the menu - it's a passion fruit vodka martini with half a passion fruit lit up with bitters and a champagne shooter - it's just amazing!!?!?!)
The hotel (double tree) is also a nice place to stay. I was there all week while working.
S. K.
Lovely bar, good service, nice views
V. T.
This is a great place to take people from out of town during the weekend. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and were able to get a nice table outside looking out to St. Paul's and Tower Bridge. The service was great. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The ambiance is modern and slick. I have never been here after work hours, or a busy time, so I don't know what it is like then. But I did find the space inside and outside on the small side.
G. P.
Very nice bar, with superb views of the Tower of London . Nice place to sit outside, but unfortunately did not rate the food, not much choice and the burger we had was pretty tasteless. But a nice place to visit for a drink.
R. S.
Lovely bar with views over East London and Tower Bridge. Often relatively quiet, with attentive staff and a good selection of cocktails.
Prices are relatively expensive, but you're paying for the location and view. Great for a treat.
N. O.
Standard city bar, albeit with an amazing view. Nice venue for a meeting or business drinks as it's normally not too crowded so finding an outside table isn't difficult. Great location as well.
B. J.
Had some drinks up in the SkyLounge while staying at the DoubleTree. The balcony section was really cool and overlooked the city to the Thames but closed super early and drinks were pricey (as hotel bars often are). I wasn't too impressed with my experience because they were kicking us off the balcony area at around 9PM in mid-May 2016.
M. L. F.
Skylounge isn’t somewhere I’d be heading every Friday evening (and perhaps dress up a little more than I did, as I turned up still wearing a superman t-shirt and converse from work as it was casual Friday and felt rather underdresseed!) but if you want to impress, be it a date, a client or a friends first trip to the city I’m not sure you can beat the Skylounge for effect. Drinks are quite expensive but you're paying for the view as well as the drink itself.
S. K.
Came here at magic hour for a glass of wine.
Great way to get a sneaky peak at a nice view without the expensive ticket cost. The toilets here are also worth a visit! (Japanese style) ;oP
L. C.
It was a lot of fun great view and great drinks
L.
Had some fantastic cocktails here. A very chic bar, with great views... it's a shame it wasn't warm enough to head out onto the terrace but I'll definately go back so maybe next time :)
d. P.
Lovely staff and amazing drinks 😊
S. E.
Be patient with their staff and enjoy the view.
T. M.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great views over the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. But wow, prices are high and they don't serve draft (tap) beer. £6 for 330ml of Heineken.
T. Y.
We went for the soft opening of the new Savage Garden LDN roof top bar (formerly SkyLounge).
Hopefully this review can be used as constructive feedback for the actual opening.
Pros
+ the decor was actually a lot better in person than the pictures shown on Instagram. Pleasantly surprised.
+ the view was great, especially when our booking was at sunset
+ the food tasted good (burratina & beef sliders)
+ good selection of drinks (bramble cocktail tasted good)
Cons
- it took 3 people to greet us and then sit us in our reserved seats
- In the 1 hour 20 minutes we were in there we were offered drinks once despite it being table service. They took the drinks menu away too. Tip: keep the drinks menu out so people keep ordering the fancy cocktails.
- It took 40 minutes, after ordering our 1st drinks, for the server to ask what food we wanted. This only happened after we grabbed her attention to do so. It wasn't busy, she was either attending a group who knew the manager or nowhere to be seen.
- We ordered the beef sliders to come with no beetroot. The server said she doesn't think this can be done as food is already prepared. Okay we said. 10 minutes later she reappeared and said actually it can be made with no beetroot. Great! When the food arrived it had beetroot on. Weirdly the sliders arrived attached to a giant piece of bone - instead of a plate. I wouldn't order this when eating with vegetarians! The sliders were attached to it via a cocktail stick. One was attached so hard that we had to pull it off and the slider went everywhere. Apparently the sweet potato fries were in the slider but were so small we didn't even notice.
- When asking for the bill, it took 10 minutes for it to arrive and then we noticed that we were overcharged. To be fair to the server she changed it immediately.
Overall
Due to it being a soft launch, I was to expect some issues. I think once the above are ironed out, I'm sure they'll be a success. Personally I think the full prices are too expensive and I probably would not go back once the official launch happens due to that reason alone.

Visited this place for the first time and I am definitely going back soon! Excellent cocktails, amazing staff and the view...OMG.. Hidden gem in the City of London!!
D. B.
This is such a trendy place! Fab staff, fantastic food and an incredible cocktail menu !! Not to mention the fantastic view of London bridge!! What more could you ask for?
A. G.
This place is very underated. Deserves more credit. 100% recommend. Even on a rainy day
N.
Nice place but mostly it isn’t friendly. Kind of people who can go there so I feel lonely there. But their cocktails were amazing
B. K.
Love rooftop bars and this one is outstanding.
R. T.
Good place for a quiet roof top drinks. Though staff needs to smile more.
A. H.
One of the lesser known rooftop bars in London. Above the Hilton Hotel in Pepy's Street, it has wonderful views of Tower Bridge, the Shard, Gherkin and much more. Combined with very good service, an indoor and outdoor bar area, this is well worth a visit.
S. R.
Honest opinion this place is literally the best Shisha place in cov! Service is good, food is delicious and Shisha is on point ! Staff are also very friendly and easy to get along with, if there is any problems they will always sort it out until the customers are happy. This has become my go to place whenever I need to relax and enjoy time outside. I would recommend it to everybody !
M. V.
It has a amazing rooftop bar at the 12 floor. You pay for the view!
b. s.
Very very nice place with amazing view on Shard building....
S. V.
Great drinks with amazing views!
G. S.
Awesome views, highly recommend

Mesmerising panoramic views of the citys skyline. Tower bridge and the Tower of London are within a stones throw. Signature cocktails and incredible food, there's something for everyone. Best rooftop bar in town hands down. *****
M. G.
Great views of tower bridge, great food, and a few interesting drinks. Worth a stop in although it's in a mid level hotel. Perfect if you're staying there.
H. V.
Spent an evening here with colleagues after a conference in the hotel. Gorgeous views. Staff were very pleasant and friendly, especially good humoured towards the end of the night. I may well visit again if in the area.
D. A.
This bar offers faboulous views from the top of the Hilton DoubleTree at Tower Hill. Best to visit this bar at night so you get Tower Bridge and the Tower of London lit up. Great service and drinks however like the setting the prices are also sky high.
G. B.
Lovely views. Great Cocktails. Nice bar team and good service. Great after work drinks location x
李.
It's the best shisha lounge in Coventry!
The staff are friendly and nice 👍🏻👍🏻
They are serving variety of drinks and food. Personally I would recommend waffles, mint tea and milk shakes
I am currently a student from Hong Kong, I enjoy my time here, having fun with snooker and PlayStation 😁😁😞
I would highly recommend to all Asian students to come here, especially for those who never try shisha 👍🏻👍🏻👅
It's the best place in Coventry to have a chill with friends at night instead of alcohol 🍺
5 stars for sure👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
By the way,it is located in city centre which is very convenient 👏🏻👏🏻
K. T.
Fantastic service and views. The bar has a great atmosphere and a good choice of drinks. I definitely recommend a visit here.
S. K.
Cracking views with a great outside seating area. Good bar tenders. It can get very busy but that's to be expected because of the place it is.
j. m.
Swanky cocktail bar with good views of Tower Bridge and Trinity house. Bring your wallet, £7 for a bottle of Corona, £55 bottle of Cava.
M. M.
Great views of London from above but the place is very crowded and it's almost impossible to get a seat (reservations are not always possible). The drinks are also a bit on the expensive side but quite worth it.
n. j.
Fabulous. Thanks to Stevie for excellent service...and beautiful smile
s. m.
Spectacular view of new&old London. Good cocktails & original snacks as navajo chips served with hummus. Great service by Adelina
H. V.
Rooftop bar with wonderful view of Tower Bridge 😍

Beautiful views over the city and some decent roof terrace space, perfect for some celebratory summer drinks. Good service but very overpriced food and drink.
C. B.

A Cocktail bar on the 12 floor with plenty of outside seating and views of London Bridge, what's not to like. Great place for a romantic weekend.
J. G.
Amazing view and great cocktails in the city. The staff is always very cordial and refined.
J. M.
Amazing views in the Tower Bridge area. Hilton Honors Gold+ members were eligible for complimentary prosecco at the time of our visit. ;)
K. K.
Went there for Valentine’s day I have to admit that the views were amazing but the foods are terrible! I don’t know whether they serve food normally or not but on valentine’s day was not so good.
R. S.
Definitely worth a drink here on any type of trip to london! Amazing rooftop bar with views of the cityscape.
J. B.
A nice rooftop bar in the City of London on top of the hotel. A very nice vibe. A bit pricey
R. K.
Excellent bar. Great views of London and did not want to leave. Lovely atmosphere.
S. M.
Lovely views but service a bit disappointing as very slow. Had also requested something special with friend's dessert as it was her birthday and they completely forgot to do it.
M. M.
Great views... Over priced...A certain beautiful set of people... Take it for what it is... An over priced city bar with awesome views and awesome looking people... But you pay for it...
C. C.
A beautiful place filled with relaxed music and nice people, combined with a romantic view :) The view and the atmosphere are worth the money you pay for drinks!
M. B.
Fantastic views from the rooftop! The prices are quite good for this kind of bar. Spectacularly friendly staff.
N. S.
Great view of London city by the terrace
J. J.
Staying at the doubletree so went up to the bar. Setting beautiful with an open rooftop and great views. Drinks prices high!
V. K.
A nice hidden rooftop bar. Good views across London Bridge and Tower Bridge. A great way to spend a summer evening. A tad expensive.
A. A.

E. H. &. T. Y. Y. C.
Great drinks, amazing views and they have Friday morning yoga classes!

Nice bar on the top floor of the Doubletree hotel with great views. The music is too loud and makes conversation difficult
M. W.
Stunning views, great selection of drinks. Relax with a G&T and take in the fabulous views.
R. Z.
Cocktails were too expensive for the quality compared to the other cocktail bars I've visited in London. Views were nice though.
M. M.
Great views but they have a service charge even if your at the bar.
M. W.
Great views, but £6.75 for a 330 cl bottle of Stella? Average service.
N. R.
Expensive but we'll worth the experience
B. S.
Stunning view, very pushy staff with where you are allowed to stand and of course they have situations where all bar tenders are 'on a break' so you have to wait 5 minutes before anyone is served lol
J. O.
Awesome and yummy food. Great place to try GT at very affordable prices and the service is pretty good as well.
T.
Top venue for drinks
D. C.

Skylounge isn’t somewhere I’d be heading every Friday evening (and perhaps dress up a little more than I did, as I turned up still wearing a superman t-shirt and converse from work as it was casual Friday and felt rather underdresseed!) but …
J. G.
Amazing view and great cocktails in the city. The staff is always very cordial and refined.
B. J.
Had some drinks up in the SkyLounge while staying at the DoubleTree. The balcony section was really cool and overlooked the city to the Thames but closed super early and drinks were pricey (as hotel bars often are). I wasn't too impressed …
J. M.
