Reviews of Sutton Arms
C. A.
Fantastic pub. Cask and keg selection is superb and both in fantastic condition. Had a great chat with the long haired guy behind the bar. Jarl fresh hop and Kernel Amarillo were banging.
C. M.
A great selection of tasty and well priced beer. The landlord is welcoming and very knowledgable about beer. A brilliant pub I’d heartily recommend
J. P.
Absolute gem of a pub, impeccably well kept ales and craft beers, really nice landlord & bar staff. Great vibe, visuals and location. 10/10 can't wait to visit again.

Fantastic pub. It's got to be one of the best selections of well kept beers in London and run by a great London family. As authentic as its gets! Well done Michael, Jack and the team! Cheers!
E. C.
A proper London boozer, with an exceptional beer selection. Without question one of the best places to drink cask beer in London. Friendly, welcoming and family run. Can't recommend it highly enough.
D. L.
Very very friendly local. Dad and son business, couldn't be nicer. Went the extra mile over advice regarding restaurant s in the neighbourhood. Great beer too at good prices.
D. T.
A great old fashioned back street pub. Lovely welcome and great service. a good variety of beer, both cask and keg. A most enjoyable place to drop in for a drink.
S. C.
Nice atmosphere, great music and nice staff. Looking at rustic but adds character. Quality selection of beer including 'quest beer' board
E. s.
Great beer selection and friendly staff (and great for a quiet spot to read the papers on a Sunday!)
P.
Amazing pub with a proper old-school landlord who will make sure you're well looked after. Wonderful cask beer selection and all kept well.
S. C.
Brilliant selection of very well kept beers/taps. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
E. J.
A cracking local pub with some of the best beer around. The staff are an absolute delight, as are the dogs. They've taken great care of the neighbourhood during lockdown with killer takeaway beer, and every time I go in they have something new and interesting on tap. Went back I side yesterday for the first time and it was as good as ever. Highly recommended for the beer enthusiast.
J. H.
Cracking pub with excellent range of local beers (cask and keg). They are very friendly and accommodating lots of space to drink inside and out. They take covid seriously and take lots of appropriate precautions and politely ask their customers to do the same, which makes me feel safer going there.
N. H.
A Very Good Selection of beers and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
D. C.
A lovely corner pub in Clerkenwell with lots of great local craft beers, plenty of seating (inside and outside), and a new menu of burgers, buns and pub classics like scotch eggs. Open seven days a week - a hidden gem

Recommended by a chap at Fare. Definitely a gem of a place, mixes great English traditional vibes with modern great craft beer. Great place
J. S.
Soft and Comfy.
I wouldn't usually review a pillow, but for the price, this was the best sleep-per-dollar i've had. Looking at reviews, there might be better ones on this site, but not for this price i can tell you!
M. B.
Good little pub, weekdays full of suits, weekends is lovely
A. T.
Friendly staff, excellent choice of beers
J. M.
Fantastic buy, got them on special but would pay 110% for these as they basically blast my ears off! What’s that you say?!?! There’s better value out there?? Sorry I can’t hear you!!
M. C.
Local feel that isn't at odds with surrounding contemporary spaces...amiable comfortable, friendly..
K. V.
Best pub in London - Always has a great selection of craft beers on. The owners and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. It's the closest feel to a proper local in central London as I've experienced. The tap takeover nights are always a fun night. Food is decent. I wouldn't want to drink anywhere else.
D. N.
Little corner pub. Very typical of an older-style London City pub. Wide range of interesting beers, nice food at lunchtime. Very well recommended as a type and a customer set that is vanishing as this area is changing so much.

Great friendly landlord, nice beer selection 👌
T. W.
I love this pub! Always a new beer to try and always a great selection of ales! They balance the traditional and the new very well - everyone is welcome and everyone can find a drink they love! Plus the Owners are different class! Be sure to ask Jack for the latest guest beer!

Lovely little place with a bizarre and entertaining selection of ales. Bar staff are friendly, cheerful, great at what what they do and make you feel at home, with the single exception of the world's most surly barmaid. Don't know why she's so sad, but she must have had a bad week. Every week. The rest of the staff are just lovely, make you welcome and remember your favourite pint. Great experience. Try and make the angry lass crack a smile, if you manage, I'll buy you a pint.
T. D.
Very friendly, good beer!
S. D.
Good pub lots of bears and a friendly barman. Toilets extremely clean
R. F.
Great pub, very friendly and knowledgeable publican and exceptionally well kept cask ale
J.
Best pub in Clerkenwell. Diamond old landlords (brothers, I think) haven't let the beers stay the same – great board of interesting brews and the cans and drafts are refreshed regularly. Plays sport as well. Also serves the world's best can of gluten free IPA - Magic Rock's Fantasma. I'd truly be lost without the Sutton Arms.
M. M.
Very friendly,,well kept ales visited on a Friday evening before catching a train homee.
C. D.
Back street pub with historical connections to the area. Easy going, friendly, more of a 'local' than many in this frenzied locality. Superb beer offering, served in great condition with knowledge & enthusiasm.
S. G.
We started going to the Sutton Arms because it's right around the corner from the office.
We tried a few other pubs in the area, but they all seemed to be too busy, or trying too hard to appeal to an audience who want something other than a few post-work drinks.
There's a nice room upstairs where it's a lot quieter than the downstairs area, which is great if you just fancy a normal volume conversation. The downstairs is great if you want a bit of background noise.
There's a pretty good selection of beers there, but I usually tend to go with the Honey Dew. Yum.
J. C.
A very well-run pub. And the service excellent during covid. All-round great staff and well-disciplined with observing the rules. Felt very safe.
S. H.
Landlord is a top, top geezer. Cracking pub.
R. M.
a geat little pub to while away a summer afternoon especially if the weather is good. people spill out on to the street and there is generally a good atmosphere with mix of people from local agencies, local charity people and students.
They also show various sports throughout the year and it's not ridiculously expensive..
if you want a decent boozer this is a good one
J. B.
The best beers in London.
P. C.
An eclectic clientele. The owner and his son are very good and make you feel welcome - and have a good sense of humour. A proper pub.
A. K.
It's a little bit of history and a lot of casual all in one place. Doggies welcomed too with water bowls and treats!
Nice staff and old school charm. Will be ba k again soon.

Super uprzejma obsługa, dobre piwo i smaczny burger do komplety. Nic bajeranckiego ale na prawdę nam się podobało. Polecam.
N. M.
Hidden gem and proper old school boozer. Top landlord with excellent beer selection. Bonus marks for having Tayto.
J. P.
No nonsense pub. Think Grogan's in Dublin. Cracking steak sandwich. Decent place to prop up the bar and watch the football. A real boozer.
M. R. A.
Good traditionel British pub. Reasonably priced beer and ale selection, live sports, good atmosphere and with the option to have the drinks outside...
C. A.
Great pub and I’d come here more, but other than the Oder gentleman behind the bar this place seriously has the gnarliest staff
S. W.
Good straightforward pub. Good range of well kept beers. Also, "Sutton Burger" well worth it.
P. B.
Been my local on & off for 25 years or so. Well kept beer & good food, Mick the Landlord an ever present, always happy to see you.
M. P.
A proper old English pub, landlord and staff super easy to chat to and a real menu with a great selection of classics and a drink to suit everyone's taste
M. P.
No porters on tap the night we went but an excellent and varied selection that we enjoyed working our way through, anyway.
