Reviews of Swift Soho
A. S.
Amazing cocktails, fantastic staff! We got there as it opened and sat at a table in the upstairs bar. Staff kept checking in with us, topping up our water and taking new orders, it was great! It gets full very quickly, and the downstairs bar opens later (I think at 5) where you can book a table. I think this would be well worth doing judging by how popular it is!

Best cocktail bar in Soho! Not only unique cocktails, but amazing staff as well. It's a bit small but I'd recommend it for sure.
J. A.
Nice small bar, really good service and prices are good for what you get. The space downstairs is nice and small but unique at the same time. I'd recommend try booking a table downstairs as it's comfy and good for a date or catching up with friends. Nice vibes. Toilets are quite small but the over all experience was good. Just look for the sign with the little bird🐦

Superb bar, superb staff, superb quality drinks. Perfectly reasonable prices for London. Had a beautiful 50/50 Sazerac and my friend said his Boulevardier and Tom Collins were perfect. Whisky menu is truly expansive - the claim of 300 whiskies is no gimmick, the selection is really diverse and high quality. Upstairs is bright and airy, downstairs is classic and moody.

What a lovely cocktail bar. We came here after seeing the recommendations and wasn't disappointed. There was a small que to get in but we didn't have to wait too long. Got a seat by the window. Table service was fantastic they staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Great recommendations and lovely cocktails. Looking for a whisky and or cocktail bar then this is the place to be.

Update 2021:
I visited about 30 London bars this year and this was my favorite. Excellent service, a wonderful room and perfect drinks. Go on a Sunday if you can when there’s live music and a cocktail flight with three cocktails for a twenty.
2020: My favorite bar experience in London this year. Only Dead Rabbit has a similarly great Irish Coffee (and there’s a reason for that). Upstairs is a little too sterile for my taste, but opens very early and friendly people abound.
Service downstairs was one of the nicest experiences I’ve had in recent memory. Roisin and Max were wonderful, and I really like the room.
A big recommendation!

Swift is my go to ‘secret’ cocktail bar in Soho. If you know, you know Swift cocktails are amazing, not only that, you know the vibe is also amazing and the staff are EVEN BETTER. Every time I visit I have a brilliant time. The drinks are original and inventive, some amazing twists on the classics too and I highly recommend their classic dirty martini, YES it IS dirty enough! The bar is super cute with both upstairs and downstairs seating depending on what you’re looking for, and I can’t really big up the staff enough. The people who work there from the door, to the floor staff, to the mixologists, ALL are welcoming and knowledgeable. They add that extra touch to make a good night amazing.
Visit Swift, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 🍸

Great drinks, well priced for London and impeccable service.
Got a reservation for the downstairs area on a Friday. Service was amazing! Our waiter was very attentive and they were especially kind when we ordered two drinks that were too strong for us and they offered to replace it something else no charge. Greeting me by name was also a nice touch.
Will definitely be coming back again.

Teddy was an absolute star! We are not the first time customers and love coming back to this place. Since the menu changed my favourite cocktail has been removed from the menu, so I’ve decided to try a new one. Teddy swapped it for something I’ve like without any issues. Thank you and we will be back!!!!
K. S.
Love this place! Great service. Even greater cocktails. Staff are welcoming, friendly and so passionate about cocktails; informative and want to share their knowledge. Great range of their own unique cocktails, but also great versions of the classics. Lovely atmosphere. Buzzing spot.
D. R.
Exceptional. I almost don't want to review it so it's easier for me to get into. The other "top-rated" cocktail bars in soho or shoreditch aren't in the same league as this place, and I've promised myself to stop wasting money hoping to find something comparable. I've come to Swift 5 times, once ordering nearly the whole menu with a couple mates. The Irish Coffee is out of this world (I know, how good can an Irish Coffee be? Trust me), and every other cocktail I've tried here (10+) ranges from, at worst, fascinating, to, at best, delightful. Earns 5 stars easily.
C. W.
Great cocktails staff incredibly friendly 5 stars and defiantly a great date spot. Drinks are expensive but worth it. I would highly recommend this spot for nice smart casual drinks.
V.
One of the best bars in London. Ideal for a late night or daytime drink. The absolute favourite and must have is the Irish coffee - you won’t be able to just have one.. great service as well!
M. T. M. L.
Can’t reiterate how much I love this place: friendly staff, exciting menus, reasonably priced cocktails - no wonder it’s on the world’s top 50 list! Be sure to reserve in advance though, this place books up very fast even on weekdays.
F. T.
Great cocktails! A bit expensive, but I thought it was worth it. Very small place, so we were a bit tight on our table, and the gents bathroom downstairs is very narrow, it’s impossible to walk past someone without bumping into them. And the toilet door opens on top of a urinal, bumping into whoever is using the urinal at the time. That’s why I took one star off
K. P.
I had a fantastic experience at Swift Soho. Incredible hospitality. The doorman Ollie was.so lovely, big kudos for managing the queue and looking after us. Grear cocktails and lovely bar tenders.and staff, lovely.Canadian Bartender made the.best margarita.and.tried a range.of different cocktails! Awesome.vibe.and.night.
H. E.
Great place!! Loved the drinks and atmosphere definitely recommend
A. H.
Had an amazing night here yesterday! Drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was lively. The server Emily was fantastic! She took us through the whole menu when we asked and she gave us lots of great recommendations - definitely would come back. Thanks Emily!
J. O.
Some great cocktails (sampled a variety!) and the Irish coffee is a must try. Very friendly staff and excellent overall service and experience! Highly recommend

I have had a headache all day, then I drank cocktails. Headache cured!

THE ATMOSPHERE -
I have to say I liked this place very much. The vibe I got as I stepped in was a good one. Young trendy people chatting and sipping away on cocktails in a low lit bar. It was very busy and they only have a small space so we had to stand at the bar. We was offered a table downstairs and off we went. More of the same as upstairs but slightly upped. The menu is different and it's darker downstairs. Making it very sexy. Even sat at the bar I found myself feeling like it was just me and my date. People keep to themselves even the staff leaving you to have a level or privacy I didn't expect to be able to get in such a small space especially with it being so full.
That said when the staff are needed they are there. Empty water glasses are refilled sometimes without you even noticing. They have a good selection of cocktails ( I didn't know any by name and choose one that sounded good )
THE DRINKS -
it may seem weird for me to go on about the ice rather than the drink ( the drink was nice very nice, strong and sweet but not too much of either, I could have easily had 3 more but me and my pocket would have been feeling it the next morning - 2 cocktails came to £27 )
Back to the ice... I felt like I had a piece of history in my glass. It looked like it was cut off the iceberg that sank the Titanic (it wasn't ) but it was one solid square cut piece of ice. That didn't melt. Given the atmosphere of the place and how long you'll spend talking. Ice not melting and watering down your cocktail is very important.
Thanks for the experience. I will be back for sure.
W. L.
Amazing drinks both downstairs and upstairs. Cocktails are £8 to £12. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and will help you if you're not sure what you want. Does get busy on weekends so consider reserving a table.
A.
Nice bar downstairs, great drinks & friendly staff!
S. P.
Highly recommend! I’ve visited Swift numerous amounts of time and the service here is truly outstanding. From bouncers to the members of staff greeting our group and seating us quickly. They also gave us recommendations of drinks to our tastes.
We all got some classic cocktails and they were lush as always. Their Irish coffees are also AMAZING! Everyone needs to try this!!
Not only that but we experienced a live performance with amazing musicians and singer.
Thank you for an amazing amazing service! Can’t wait to visit again!!!
S. W.
Bartenders were very friendly and made me a signature cocktail based on my likes. It was made with fresh raspberry juice, and was absolutely delicious! Very nice place to lounge and have a night out. It's called a Flora Dora with Raspberry, Ginger, Gin, and Mint--Yum!
M. F.
What a lovely bar! Super friendly bartender and he made the best whiskey drink I’ve ever had. Absolute gem in London - if you love cocktails then this place is a must.
P. W.
Fantastic cocktail menu & the atmosphere is awesome. Cant wait to come back!
M. V.
Great cocktails for good prices and an amazing Irish coffee plus the staff is really nice, attentive and hands out free glasses of water.
N. R.
Perfect spot for a pre-theatre aperitivo or a post-dinner nightcap. The Irish Coffee is seriously ‘world famous’ and the whisky selection downstairs is phenomenal. Downstairs, a cocktail bar that you could get lost in for hours. Great for a date night. And the cocktails are impeccable. Main floor, perfect for a cocktail, a pint or a pre-dinner drink. The bar team is exceptional. Warm and friendly. This place is elegant and also carries a local feel. You can tell that there are regulars from the neighborhood as well as people who have traveled the world just to go there. Truly awesome.

We arrived at 6pm on Saturday night without a reservation. The host said we could stay for 45mins until the next booking arrived which was perfect for us. I had the Irish coffee and my girlfriend had Coral Reef. Wow they were both amazing cocktails. Highly recommend this bar. We were sat downstairs and next time I'd love to sit at the bar. 🔥
A.
Mocktail was quite nice and not too sweet. Nice little bar that's good if you want to catch up with a friend as it's not noisy.
Their covid policy is a bit silly though. Masks aren't obligatory any more but the doorman wants you to wear one when entering just to sit down and take it off again ?
B.
Really decent prices for cocktails, and the staff was very friendly. The Irish coffee is a must :)
S. B.
I recommend booking in advance to get a table in the basement, preferably next to the bar so you can see the bartenders mixing your drinks. The basement has a great atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
L. M. M.
If you come, try to get a table downstairs where it has a romantic speakeasy vibe. Upstairs is more of a cafe look and you could walk past with out knowing what's downstairs.
H. W.
We visited for Cocktail month every server was amazing, all the drinks were so tasty, and a great experience.
V. M.
Just ok coctails. No frills presentation or decoration.
V. R.
Great atmosphere and cocktails were great. Staff very good attentive and friendly.
D. T.
The best Bloody Mary's in London......so I'm told. I prefer a gin and tonic! Great place for a few cocktails with friends. Gets very busy at times. Well worth a visit
E.
Great service, crazy selection of whisky, will be back!
A. D.
I absolutely love this place. I wish I discovered this place earlier as I came here to celebrate my last night in London. We were warmly welcomed by a Scottish chap who was good chat throughout the evening and the bartender who offered us a drink once we sat down. This place is elegant and stunning. It is modest and casual and everyone comes for a good time. I had started with ‘Higher Ground’ which was very tasty and similar to a dark Pina Colada. I believe our bartender’s name is Hamish who is an absolute pro behind the bar had crafted me several cocktails with some he had recommended. My favourites were ‘Irish Coffee’ which was phenomenal and a must-try and ‘Bees Knees’. My final drink for the night was apparently ‘Clover Club’, but I don’t ever recall seeing it or drinking it as I must’ve been quite loose by then. I believe the drinks are fairly priced. The only downfall was that there are no chefs on Sunday (and I believe another day) to order food. Overall, my experience at Swift has been top-notch. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing drinks, amazing vibes and an amazing time. An essential bar to visit if you’re ever in London.
k. h.
LOVE this place. It is quite pricey but overall really nice bar. We all really enjoyed our visit and the service was really good. Thanks!
K. S.
One of my fav bars in London, for any whisky lover this is a must every whisky you can think of best to book a table is a few of you but you can also walk in, try out the Irish’s coffee best in London as far as my wife is concerned,
Friendly staff to very helpful
A. O.
Fancy cocktail bar split over 2 floors. Nice selection of reasonably priced cocktails (£9 a £10 for a prosecco cocktail). Staff all seemed very pleasant and attentive.
A. E.
A rising cocktail bar in SOHO. great old fashioned and manhattan (Evan Williams Single Barrel). Bourbon menu is one of the best in London. Prices are as expected for the area. bookings for an afterwork cocktail (between 6-7.30pm) not needed
J. C.
Every cocktail is executed beautifully at Swift, but if you're only having one, it must be the Irish coffee.Yes, even if you hate coffee.
t. k.
Honestly, just an amazing bar. Great service, wonderful cocktails and just overall a wonderful place.
S.
Staff are excellent! They are so passionate and knowledgeable. Drinks are also exceptional.
L. H.
Have wanted to try Swift for ages. The cocktails didn't disappoint. Tried a few from the summer spritz collection. Strong and complex. Will definitely be coming back.
D.
Very good cocktails. Extensive selection. Fair prices. Cosy atmosphere. Perfect to take a girl on a first date!
O. D.
Not too bad especially considering this area however we didn't feel very comfortable. We were seated in the basement, there was not enough air to breath, very noisy, ceilings are very low, toilets super tiny. They switched on air cons and it became cold pretty much instantly, it blows right on you because of room design and type of building and its internal construction so I understand it's hard to make it very pleasant. Waiter was nice and friendly. Security guy however wasn't, he didn't believe I had reservation and my friends were waiting inside, he made me call my friend and after she came out to get me he felt embarrassed and said that I should have given him her name but he never even asked for that when I arrived. Anyway cocktails were very interesting but weird. One tasted like green smoothy, not sure if it was what I actually ordered. Good thing they allow to reserve table free of charge which really helps on busy Friday night.
M. W.
Amazing transformation from Bar LAB. Upstairs area is nice for daytime/early evening drinks - nice big window at the front. Downstairs has lots of seating and good for the evening. Interesting cocktail menu, massive selection of whiskey. Main problem is the men's toilets - they are a total design disaster. Smallest, worst designed toilets ever.
M. H.
A slightly hidden spot in Soho for anyone willing to escape the touristic vibes of the area. They have a great menu of relatively innovative cocktails + you can order any traditional ones that you might crave. Service is super attentive and nice. The place works both for a pre-dinner drink or a later one in the night.
p.
Great cocktails including a good scropino, live music in the basement. Friendly staff.
K. L.
While they're know for their really fresh Bloody Mary, they really pour up a nice glass of irish coffee too! Kudos for the lovely staff!
F. M.
young atmosphere, dim light which gives the cozy feeling. friendly staff
P. V.
Fabulous place! My husband was looking for somewhere for us to have a cocktail while were already in Soho. Had the best cocktail I have had in a long time, brilliant, friendly service, superb place both upstairs and downs stairs, great ambience, comfortable seating. I highly recommend it and I would definitely go back. It's a fab way to treat yourself! Loved it!
S. M.
Great cocktail bar. Amazing Irish coffee.
j. e.
Best Irish coffee and very good drinks. Even greater whisky list.
J. T.
Incredible cocktails and amazing service. Really nice atmosphere.
R. C.
Relatively curt but great cocktail list plus an impressive whiskey selection. Beautiful decor, especially downstairs
I. R.
Wonderful place, wonderful delighs, wonderful staff... Creative yet very accessible creations.. love all 4 drinks we've tried. My personal No 1 in London.
W. y. C.
Lovely cocktails and staff, serve my favourite ipa (soundwave) and £6 cocktails everyday between 3-6pm. Staff were friendly too
S. T.
Great chill spot for pre-dinner drinks! Good cocktails too - we got a citrusy summer delight with lemon sorbet, Prosecco, and saint Germaine as well as an old fashioned. All drinks were really good and really cool vibes too
A. G.
Rare find in London: friendly service, good cocktails (the ones from downstairs especially) and reasonable prices. The live music adds a feel-good touch that will keep you there for a while. If you are looking for a more intimate experience try to book downstairs but for an early evening their 6£ Spritz (and variations) upstairs are a steal!
T. S.
My routine visit to London includes at least a stop once here. Good range of whiskys, well prepared cocktails. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. What could one ask for more?
J. D.
Gorgeous cocktails + excellent service. You’re in for a good night if you’re downstairs with Jess her recommendations are always on point.
K. M.
Great cocktails and service. Best Irish coffee out there also
L. B.
Get the Irish coffee! I don’t like whisky but you can’t even taste it, the flavor is amazing. Cocktail was good too.
A. G.
One of my favourite bars in London. Especially the downstairs area where they have live piano music sometimes. Also, fantastic smoky cocktails with whiskey 🥃 and they do serve Oloroso sherry, which is my weakness. Prices are pretty reasonable. It is hard to get in sometimes as the bar is pretty popular
T. J.
This used to be Lab Bar but you wouldn't recognise it how much it changed. Now more upscale, selection of cocktails is smaller (they can still do classic cocktails not on the menu). Pornstar martini will be missed.
M. G.
Very nice atmosphere and excellent service.
Becca she was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the cocktails.
Although was a busy Saturday evening she paid the attention we wanted without making us feel rushed.
We highly recommend and we will for sure go back.
T. L.
This is one of my favourite cocktail bars in London. The staff are friendly and remember me (even though I don't go that often). The guys really know their cocktails and if they have the ingredients can usually make any cocktail of your choosing. Their menu is also interesting and changes from time to time.
I would recommend the downstairs bar for a more relaxed experience.
D. M.
Delicious cocktails, great atmosphere, brilliant staff.
N. H.
Lovely cocktails and very pleasant service from our Irish server, who recommended great drinks from upstairs and downstairs bar menus. Downstairs has jazz on Fri to Sun and generally needs reservations. Upstairs no reservations and available for walk-ins. Keeps up the great tradition of excellent cocktail bars on this site following LAB. I loved the Jacquard (a twisted Manhattan style cocktail). My friend thought the Bloody Marys were immaculate.
U. G. S. T. T.
This place was the highlight of our first 'dine out' experience. We'll run and the new covid restrictions were explained and handled very well. Amazing array of cocktails and really friendly staff.
T. S.
Very nice
M. A.
Incredible Service, incredible cocktails, and absolutely incredible jaw dropping Irish Coffee
W. L.
Very good! Top 100 in the world? Maybe not so much. Great staff though!
V. C.
Beautiful bar in the basement. Cocktails were great. Must recommend the Irish coffee they make in house
a. s.
Fabulous quirky little bar with nice music, relaxed vibe, staff very friendly and really know their stuff when it comes to cocktails, unfortunately we could only have our table for one hour and had to leave just as someone started to play the piano which seemed like it was going to be good change, posh but still quirky, would definitely return.
М. С.
One of my favorite bars in London. The atmosphere is nice and bartenders are very friendly and talkative.
I loved the Bloody Marry cocktail that was extremely spicy but fascinatingly delicious. I definitely recommend it even if you don’t like spicy things ...
R.
Great bar and a lovely find. The majority of the cocktails we ordered were off menu and they were still all delicious. The service was exceptional, friendly and prompt, couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.
R. S.
To be amongst the very best bars in Soho — where there is such high competition — everything has to be perfect. Swift is one such example.
There are two floors but both have great ambience and excellent cocktail lists. The bartenders are quick to take orders and serve, and very friendly.
The cocktails themselves are varied and genuinely amongst the best in London and well worth the price. This is an essential for anyone into cocktails.
R. S.
Amazing drinks & amazing staff. 10/10 recommend!
A. E.
Always busy but love the cocktails even if a tad expensive but Yes it's Soho
A. A. H.
The best cocktails I’ve had. White Water. Irish Coffee. Old Fashioned. They are amazing. The staff are very kind and the bartenders are so skilled and very consistent. Go here. Have the White Water. It’s the best. It’s a shame Sam won’t work here anymore 😫
d. e.
Fantastic bar, great cocktails and whisky selection
M. S.
I always reserve a spot at the downstairs bar for one reason: the best Irish Coffee you will ever have in your life.
I don't like coffee. Never drink it. Except here. I don't believe in heaven but that drink is heaven in a glass.
The atmospheric downstairs whiskey bar will provide you with exquisite cocktails and always served with class. The bar staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always will to offer suggestions.
Quite possibly my favourite bar in London.
Y. E.
Excellent cocktail bar with masterful mixologists. Bright and flowing seating area. Good waitress service and you can run a tab (rare for London). Lovely and tasty drinks. Great place to visit!
c. c.
Excellent customer service. Attentive, caring and friendly. Good social distancing.
Recommended for a quiet and intimate evening.
d. m.
Definitely go downstairs if you can. Is a completely different bar from upstairs.
d. y.
Didn't this used to be lab bar🤔
Anyhow drinks were on point, my Irish coffee was outstanding
D. P.
Great cocktail bar. Amazing atmosphere with friendly staff. Downstairs you have a retro looking seating area. cool place to have few cocktails. Highly recommended the Irish coffee they do.
M. C.
Excellent cocktails at decent prices and, above all, staff who take COVID restrictions very seriously whilst maintaining a lively atmosphere. Really nice ambience that feels a lot like pre-COVID times but still very safe. Like most bars at the moment, restrictions on closing times mean you should avoid going after 9 as they do last orders around then and probably won't let you in. Ideally get there a few hours before closing, e.g. 7.
N. J.
Great cocktail bar. Always great service.
J. B.
Favorite cocktail bar in Soho. Worth a visit.
C. G.
Great selection of cocktails. Staff are super helpful and friendly
l. s.
This is one of the great whisky bars in London (on the same level of Milroy’s just around the corner). They don’t take reservations so it is almost always a quick place to get into. Their downstairs is a great intimate whisky bar. The ground floor is a cool Art Deco space for a perfect cocktail and is suited to have a large group milling about. As a whisky fan the thing that really made the place was a massive whisky selection with staff who really knew their stuff. They make the selection process special for both newbies and aficionados.
D. S.
Great champagne cocktails at happy hour. They were busy though and moved us downstairs to accommodate more people. Which was fine as it is nice too. But the drinks were 2x the price downstairs. So we left.
D. B.
Currently my favourite bar in London. As a disclaimer I have not actually visited the upper floor of this bar.
This bar is decorated brilliantly, offering shine upstairs to match the champagne and oysters then downstairs is where I spend my time. The downstairs is darker with wood accents and leather chairs matching an awesome mix of whisky cocktails and other short drinks that I haven't seen matched yet after visiting a lot of London's cocktail bars. The food available is bar food but has some great offerings with a great cheese board and also very tasty oysters. I'll be back again soon.
T. M.
The whisky bar downstairs is a great place for a quality dram. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and provided good suggestions along with good company. Highly recommend going here and will definitely be back! Cheers Swift!
B. C.
Downstairs bar is intimate and cosy. Extensive whisky selection and cocktail list. Knowledgeable and very friendly bartenders happy to recommend drinks and allowed us to taste the whisky before ordering.
J. C.
Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I just went looking for a place to have a cocktail on our honeymoon, and we ended up staying, having three drinks each, and taking to the wonderful bartender. Sam was fantastic! We had no clue what to order and he made us the perfect drinks. We really enjoyed them. He also gave us some great recommendations for places to go in London as well. We will definitely be coming back to this bar though before we head back home.
A. ..
Great surprise! Cosy and chilled downstairs area perfect for a group of friends or a couple. Our surprise was the live music, we were not expecting this and it was an amazing add on to our night. The cocktails were very good and if you are a whiskey fan this is your place! The staff is very friendly and helpful. And we will definitely come back!
A. L.
Excellent whisky collection, and knowledgeable bartenders
A. E.
Proud to be 900th review, amazing venue 👌🏻🖤
m. l.
Loved the cocktails and drinks concoctions! However, we looked for a casual drink on a Wednesday night only to be ushered from one drink area to the other like herded cattle. This joint is not your go-to for a quick comfortable whiskey, it's more of a slow burner.
S. C.
Found this place through a Google search and wow were we happy . As soon as we walked through the door we had a warm welcome . No room up stairs so we were shown downstairs to the most intimate bar . Sam was our barman who was an absolute delight his fantastic knowledge of cocktails was superb. He also had further knowledge of whiskeys rum and gin . My OH is a rum drinker and Sam was on hand to guide and offer samples to help him choose the correct drink . We only meant to stay for one but found our self getting very comfortable especially when the live Jazz duo started to play . If you cant find on the menu ask as nothing is to much trouble here . Cant wait to visit again . Ten out of ten on ambience, service and over all quality.
T. N.
Great staff. Excellent drink selection. Truly worth the special visit.
L. O.
Max and the team so sucha great job here. Always happy and cheery. Drinks selection is one of the best in London with a great menu but they nail the classics every time.
Always worth a trip if you're strolling along Compton St.
C. G.
Great cocktails, super friendly bartender and cool vibe, especially downstairs. It does get quite loud after 6 though. You should probably also reserve even if you're few because it's very busy.
S. B.
Liked it here. Small, quirky bar serving good cocktails. Service decent and staff friendly. Downstairs bar looked appealing too though you need to book this. Gents toilet could be a bit bigger though
E. W.
Really lovely bar in Soho. The stiff drinks are very nice and get you pretty merry. I would recommend the whiskey ones. Bar staff are friendly and attentive, great service. I would recommend to book as it was very busy when I went on a Friday night. Atmosphere is great, has speakeasy vibes to the downstairs area.
T. G. B.
Swift- Old Compton Street.
This Soho cocktail bar is not new to us, and we definitely wanted to revisit it for the quality cocktails expertly created by their mixologists.
You need to book for the downstairs bar, especially at weekends.
We were offered a great round booth for our party of three. The cocktail menu is divided into flavour profiles such as “Stiff”, “Bright” or “Delicate”, and features artwork illustrating each section.
The drinks always hit the mark and our favourites include Jackdaw and White Water.
A strong recommendation in the heart of London’s Theatreland.
L.
This place is brilliant. It has the best whisky selection in London (on par with Milroy's around the corner). But it's also their knowledge of whisky and lack of pretentiousness that is a real winner. I've taken plenty of friends who say they don't like whisky, but the Swift staff always find something they like.
I'm less a fan of the upstairs aesthetic. I always prefer to sit in the downstairs bar. But it's the same staff, same selection of drinks. I just like looking at all the whiskies.
However, if you REALLY don't like whisky, then they have a good selection of wine and beers too. Plus, their cocktails are great. And they do (one of) the best old fashioneds in London (as well as many non-whisky cocktails).
I couldn't recall the awards they've received, but I know they've been awarded quite a few.
NB: The downstairs bar usually requires pre-booking. You'll have to leave a deposit to book. The system for doing this could definitely be improved.

Probably one of the best bars I've been to and will most likely go again. The staff are friendly and always available to go out of their way to help. The Irish coffee was fantastic and I won't recommended anywhere else. Bar staff also provide glasses of water without even asking, which I've never experienced any where else in London. Space is quite limited. However, you can reserve a place downstairs where it is a bit cosy should you decide to take someone special.
K. H.
One of the best cocktail bars in London, with beautiful settings both upstairs and downstairs. It has a very 1920’s feel to it! Outstanding cocktails and by far the best Irish Coffee in town.
F. H.
Hands down, the best cocktail bar in Soho. Proper drinks, great atmosphere (chill, walk-in on top and cosy with reservation below). Service is outstanding. Try the Long Island Ice Tea, but all their drinks are fabulous.
A. C.
Great cocktails, knowledgeable staff and wide choice of spirits, especially whisky.
D. D. C.
A serious cocktail bar. The drinks are well thought and the service is both welcoming and fancy.
The selection of whiskey is impressive and the waitresses will be able to suggest among the alternatives the one that suits your taste.
Sometimes there is some love music in the room downstairs, to add some more atmosphere to the place.
S. M.
Visited on a Saturday night. Nice cocktails and staff. However, we felt the venue was missing the wow factor in terms what you get at other cocktail bars in London. The venue was lacking in terms of A) the character you get at venues such as 69 Colebrooke Row, Opium or The Gibson or B) the presentation of cocktails at Nightjar or Purl.
I. W.
Shared a few cocktails with some mates outside. Relaxed friendly atmosphere and relaxed but quietly efficient service
C. M.
Two fantastic bars in one. Start off upstairs, end your evening with something decadent downstairs. Possibly my favourite place in London
G.
You can try your luck upstairs by walking in but the best experience is reserving a spot downstairs. This bar won several awards and is sure to present you one original cocktail for your taste pallet.
B. T.
Only sampled the small list of cocktails upstairs and not the endless options of downstairs, however the small selection I tried was great. The mixologists will mix you up whatever you want, and are very knowledgeable. Quite a classy atmosphere here.
S. L.
Never been to a cocktail bar, and was at first a little unsure, but we ended up having a lot of fun and some amazing new drinks. The bartender was friendly and rightly recommended Sgroppino and Medallion. The lemon sorbet one was refreshing and I can't wait to try and replicate the drinks, though I'm not sure it's possible! Cool vibe, got a small table on a Saturday night- buzzy but not too crowded.
R. Y.
Excellent cocktails and great music. Hand carved ice which just makes everything better! Staff are awesome. Small space but visited out of peak hours. Speakeasy style bar downstairs.
I.
Favourite cocktail bar in London. Amazing atmosphere, especially if you book a place downstairs. Remarkable cocktails that are actually worth the price.
E.
This was the highlight of my weekend. Bustling and boisterous, with great music and better cocktails, I am glad we found a home for the night here. The house specialties were excellent, and they made the best Zombie I’ve had yet, but be sure to make a reservation, because this is one sought after bar!
A. J.
Amazing cocktails served by the most skilled and and friendly bartenders. The interior and the art deco atmosphere is absolutely stunning. Don't miss this absolute little gem of a bar! And if you go, do have the Sgroppino, it's addictive.
t. k.
Nice place , great variety of drinks and excellent coctails. The staff has knowledge and averyone is friendly.
E. E.
Bartenders are professional, I enjoyed the drinks that they made. The atmosphere is also very relaxing which made my Friday nightout with friends great! Thinking of becoming this place my hangout and go-to place.
G. H.
A little expensive but very nice drinks upstairs and down! Although avoid their dirty martinis unless you like about a shot of olive brine. Their prosecco cocktail is interesting as it comes with a scoop of lemon sorbet which takes the drink to a whole new level!
P. D.
Sooo good.
Staff are friendly
Cocktails are 💥
A great place to spend your money
🙌🙏👏
N. W.
First visit was upstairs for a quick cocktail second visit was downstairs. Fab service relaxed atmosphere and nice decor. Pianist also good. Nice wine spirits and bubbles menu too!
K. C.
Always top service and excellent Irish coffee.
S. M.
Pretty cool cocktail bar. FYI if you want to nicer part of the bar (with the nice booths and wooden decor) then you need to book in advance.
D. H.
Fabulous experience. Get yourself along and try a few of their delicious cocktails.
A. G. (. घ.
Great ambience. Service was a good too. Good be faster. On the whole a good place. The whiskey cocktails were amazing. Definitely worth a try.
F. C.
Really delicious cocktails and great service. Four stars because of the uncomfortable stools we sat on, but there were plenty of more comfortable seats downstairs (if you can get them).
A. M.
My husband brought me for our anniversary and I was not disappointed! I suggested to the server that I felt like something similar to white lady and his suggestions throughout the night were all good from this point. Can't recommend this place enough. Outstanding place to visit in Soho. Looking forward to next visit
E. Ó. I.
Hands down the best bar I've ever been to. Fantastic cocktails, premium service and great staff! Would recommend to anyone and would be the only place i'd revisit in London with out a doubt.
C. B.
What is there to say? Amazing drinks and equally amazing service. If you like Irish coffee, you cannot go wrong; here you will find quite possibly the best Irish coffee known to man. The basement is a wonderfully secluded-feeling dim bar, with live piano music.
h.
Solid drinks and vibe. Need to check out the basement.
K. G.
Absolutely love this place. Lovely intimate venue, great staff and fantastic cocktails. Downstairs is best. Also best to book a table Fri or sat night as it's a small venue and gets very busy.
E. G.
One of the best cocktail bars in London. The menu changes regularly and there is always something delicious to taste. The space downstairs is very atmospheric.
M. J.
Staff are mostly great, ground floor is weird and too bright though, and the booths downstairs are two small for more than two people unless you cut your legs off. Drinks are ok, but there’s better elsewhere
O. D.
The bar is very clean and the drinks that come out are brilliant. Plus they use bamboo straws.
a. d. c.
Such a nice place, I went there with my partner and my little boy. We have few drinks and enjoyed a chat with a friend.
I like the interiors, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was nice.
P. H. B.
Beautiful cocktails! try the white water a brilliant take on a old fashioned. The bar staff are very knowledgeable and the downstairs has a great classic chilled out vibe.
J. S.
Those Irish whiskeys have had me coming back constantly
L. f.
Just love this spot and everything about it! So much I almost don't want to tell anyone cause its hard to get a booking! 😅
L. H.
Loved Bar Swift. Fabulous hosptality, great ambiance and varied drinks menu. If you like whisky book a table downstairs and enjoy the whisky trail (lots to try) while listening to live piano. My favourite cocktail is Sgroppino.....delicious.
D. B.
Swift-ly becoming my go to hangout to decompress and have a cheeky martini or two. Great service, and skilled bartenders who know their craft. Makes a top dirty martini with excellent olives
L.
Delicious drinks in a stylish art deco setting
W. L.
You would almost miss the entrance amidst the crowded street. Vintage booth seats with a long bar at the back. Staff is friendly and efficient. I had the bartender make me a drink with whisky and I enjoyed it very much. Not the cheapest place but worth a visit.
G. Z.
Great bar, friendly staff and broad selection on whiskey labels!
p.
Get the Irish Coffee! You won't be disappointed! Promise. Better than the Buena Vista version in San Francisco.
A. H.
Do you like whisky? Do you like good cocktails? If so, don’t care for any other reviews. This is what Swift does and they do it extremely well. Doesn’t matter if you’re 25 or 65. At Swift you can get a proper night out in a super laid back and hyggelig setting
J. S.
The staff were very polite and welcoming. Amazing drinks! Great service! Definitely going back.
S. K.
Staff are lovely. Setting is lovely. Pete Doherty lookalike pianist-singer good. Cocktail experience is reminiscent of opening a kettle of boiling ethanol and dipping my eyeballs in it. I had the Amber Cane (no sugar, just orange) and the White Water (not white, limited hydrating qualities). My girlfriend had The Prestige (no Hugh Jackman or Davie Bowie in sight) and the Shanghaied (she liked it but what does she know, she's weird). I'd come back if there was something sweet and sour without pointless herbs. Ok bye.
J. W.
Enjoyable and good selection of cocktails, average pricing.
b. z.
High quality bar, excellent mixing, good vibe.
Visit with 2 friends who like to explore drinks, got recommendation that were good fit for each of us, had nice talk with the host and enjoy a good night out, not much more you can ask for :)
L. B.
Only stayed here for an hour or so but the cocktail list/drinks menu looks great and the drinks I had tasted amazing! Lovely place and great service, will be coming back.
S. k.
Nice cocktails.... recommend Irish Coffee
J. H.
Love it here. Delicious cocktails and great service.
T. M.
Delightful cocktail bar with superb, friendly service - always willing to whip you up something you've never heard of, as well as take the time to talk you through it. Definitely recommend!
K. F.
My absolute favorite bar. The Irish coffee will blow your mind, been here probably a dozen times and I’ve never had a bad drink on the menu.
S. R.
Great cocktail bar. All the staff were so friendly and attentive, cocktails were delish. Highly recommended.
K. N.
Nice atmosphere and good cocktails
G. D.
This used to be The Lab and their drinks still hold true. Great bar, great staff. The are amazingly knowledgeable. Top notch and a place I always come when visiting London.
L. S.
Really friendly staff! Good cocktails. A bit loud to talk intimately, but still nice place to have few drinks.
C.
Stunning downstairs bar with great service. Cocktails were well balanced and delicious. Highly recommended Swift, service is great.
F. F.
Very swanky place with knowledge bartenders. Sizable collection of whiskeys downstairs and live music is a nice touch. Upstairs was very lively and vibrant.
D. A. d. O.
Great cocktail bar with nice atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and friendly staff.
A. K.
Great for small groups, a bit pricey though
J. C.
The cocktails upstairs are lovely but try to get a seat in the whiskey bar downstairs instead. Absolutely stunning cocktails.
S. M. E.
The cocktails are amazing (highly recommend the Medallion) and the ambience is dark and sexy downstairs. But the superb staff make this place a 5 star establishment.
J. d. L.
Beautiful bar, great service and friendly staff. It has a great range of unique cocktails
D. A.
Interesting well balanced cocktails and engaging, knowledgeable waiters. Downstairs is beautifully appointed and the overall experience a real treat.
M. G.
Book a table for the quieter bar downstairs. Superb cocktails with emphasis on taste rather than gimmicks. Friendly waitstaff and unusually fast bartender.
N. R.
Had a great time. Tom was amazing!!
G. L.

Amazing, and swift, cocktails. Nothing too showy, but genuinely high quality cocktails and great attentive service. A stellar whisky selection too
B. D.
One of the best in London. The cocktails are world class but what really puts this place above the rest is how personal the service feels
D. C.
Good place to hang out with friends and try some authentic Irish coffee!

Passed my "can they make a good old fashioned?" test with a proper old fashioned with a crystal clear ice block. Moved on to the Medallion and Piccolina cocktails from the menu and both were delicious!
R. M.

L. B.
Solistice spritzer was good but tidal cocktail was terrible ! Waiting time was ridiculous - maybe due to covid but still.
a. l.
Not a bad bar, was better when it was Lab bar had more character with the old paint job and the black ceiling after all the fire breathing by the staff.
J. E.
Great cocktails in a dark stylish ambience. Go here for a special treat, a real antidote to brash drinking culture.
S. L.

Lovely bar, the downstairs is beautiful and i absolutely love Roisin! She is an asset.

Great unusual cocktail menu. Unimpressed that they add a service charge even if you're sat at the bar, given the already high cost.
