Reviews of Tamesis Dock
D. H.
Amazing location and even better service. Ordered from the QR code and beer arrived within minutes. I asked for a glass of milk for my daughter (not on the menu) and it was not an issue. As for the food, I ordered buffalo wings and pepperoni pizza, both were delicious. I've never had wings so good. They didn't have pineapple for my daughters pizza, so just added more toppings to the others. I will definitely try and get back here again soon. So good.

A nice boat pub / bar moored on the Thames. There is the outside deck as well as a roomy indoor seating area / dance floor down stairs. Bar was good, staff friendly. Pizza was served up as well which was good. I have been here a couple of times for parties when downstairs is hired out. Have enjoyed both occasions.
D. A.
Love this venue. Such a quirky unique bar with a great view. Specially at sunsets.
L. F.
Lovely place for a drink on a warm summers night. Good beer and lovely atmosphere, loved being able to see Houses of Parliament from such a fab vantage point. The staff were very friendly and were happy to move chairs to fit our party of three.
D. G. M.
A great floating pub/bar on the River Thames.
Friendly staff with a wide selection of drinks.
Can get a little crowded, but it is nice on a summer evening sitting on deck watching the river traffic and pedestrians walking by.
Very reasonably priced, too.
R. R.
Novel and nice to have a pint overlooking the thames. Food is served onboard. Toilets onboard. Don't have to book.
C. B.
One of my favourite watering holes. Expensive beer though.
This is a ship moored on the Thames on the Southbank near to Vauxhall. It's rather tatty outward appearance belies it's rather tatty inward appearance, but that's why I like it. I have spent many an evening there and listened to some really good bands.
I recommend this establishment.
J. D.
Great place to sit and drink, food was average at best. Staff were friendly, however they decided to cut a load of wood with an electric saw behind the bad in the middle of lunch.
Stop buy for a drink, but you’ll be disappointed if that’s your dinner.
Mobile ordering platform good compared to other places, great for a small business.
E. F.
I love this place, it's everything a pub on an old boat should be. Not sure if I like the inside or the outsider better! Hope they bring back the pakora.
A. D.
Nice quirky venue, understandably busy so waiting times expected. Corona on tap a big plus, with great fresh pizzas. 🍕 Order from your table with your phone, nice and easy.
J. H.
What a little gem this place is! We had a few beers with our feet up on the railing on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in London. Place was busy but not crowded, and everyone was having a nice relaxing drink in the sun. The deck is the place to be but the middle and bottom floor are also very cool. Drinks reasonable priced also. We didn't eat but the food looked good!
V. V.
Nice view, good coffee, reasonable prices
C. D.
Very fun boat bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Great music. The views are fantastic.
G. C.
Magic river-side venue with great views of London. Food (pizza and salad) and beer excellent and ambience was terrific.
Sadly the app to order food and drinks failed on the day and service was slow but eventually we ate and drank perfectly.
I'd happily return again - such a fun venue, especially for a sunny day.
O. T.
Great place if you have visitors to take out for a beer. The upper deck tables have a great view of the parliament building and the big ben. If you prefer sitting inside, the lower floor of the ship will make you feel like you are actually in the river, especially when it is high tide! Never boring to be here!
A. D.
Lovely location. I went for a happy hour (with a side of pizza) and it was all really good. The Aperol spritz was on point. The vegan calzone was also delicious. I did not understand why when asked, they bring you the tomato sauce as a side rather than as an ingredient in the pizza. Book in advance if you wish to go. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
L. B.
Lovely atmosphere and super cute but my drink was way too strong mojito tasted like straight rum with a drop of lime
H.
Beautiful location on the Thames with Westminster in the background. Came here in the day but would imagine this place being very lively at night with such great views on offer. Would recommend even if for a swift one
K. C.
Lovely busy intimate spacing with loads of nautical attire to look at! When my order got slightly muddled up the managers were very understanding and friendly and fixed things very smoothly and confidently. Its a one of a kind place to hang out with friends and family. Highly recommended
M. D.
Nice and different London pub on the banks of the Thames with beautiful views over to the Houses of Parliament
A. N.
Good atmosphere and lovely views of parliament building if you get a table on the top deck.
M. P.
This is possibly one of my favourite spots in London. It is a bar/pub set in a barge moored on the Thames, with great views over parliament. I highly recommend it for a date. I am giving it 4 stars because the prices of cocktails are quite high so value for money is average.
J. O.
Great location for a good pint at the end of the day, good for food and group bookings
T. K.
Amazing place to rent as a venue! Staff were easy going and the location is on point of course.
B. K. R. H.
Amazing, quirky place with fantastic staff!! Lovely food, drink and vibes. Definitely need to do this!
Great wall along embankment to which will take you past the memorial wall. Quite moving!
N. H.
Quirky bar with views across the Thames. Chilled place to enjoy a drink. We also enjoyed a a surprisingly good pepperoni pizza.
K. S.
We went there for a South American Jass gig. The ship was a very good place for a small gathering! They provide some basic food like pizza too.
M. S.
If you are ever in the area you must try this place. Would book in advance as its very popular. Superb pizzas, calzone, gluten free options and the best buffalo wings in the city, all in the best setting, a colourful little boat overlooking the houses of Parliament.
N. W.
The deck made for an ideal spot for meeting friends in Tier 2 restrictions, the deck heaters certainly took the chill off the cool Thames air, as did the mulled wines! The drinks selection was decent and the, mostly pizza, based menu certainly hit the mark. It's an unconventional apot but one with lot of charm and character and I hope to revisit when the Tier 3 restrictions lift.
T. B.
Wonderful unique location - watch out you don't get seasick. Staff is a bit hit or miss, and service isn't always best. Also the atmosphere strongly depends on what is on at a particular night - and can vary wildly. Overal well worth a visit.
L. I.
Cute place, amazing view, nice staff and pizza.
Only downside is tiny cocktails with a high price!
c. s.
Booked a table online the night before, reserved for our time. Online ordering was quick, prices were reasonable and it was a great venue! Would come again.
S. G.
I had my 30th Birthday here, on the lower deck! Absolutely brilliant, amazing helpful staff, yummy pizza and great drinks! Highly recommend.
F. B.
A relaxed vibe, decent prices. But the staff don't mark which tables are booked, and which aren't. So when my friend and I sat down at the front, overlooking Vauxhall Bridge at sunset, we got kicked off the table halfway through our drinks. Not really the best way to treat paying customers who have come to your venue to wind down after a long day. They could at least be organised enough to put a 'Reserved' sign on booked tables fast... That way people would know not to sit there. It really is that simple 🤣
T. L.
Amazing place for a drink with a view! Took a while to get a seat but once inside staff were friendly and efficient.
C. H.
A floating bar on the Thames - perfect for a summer night (or afternoon). Good selection of alcoholic beverages and tasty pizzas that you can add your choice of toppings to. I've taken family and friends there many times.
M. D.
Fantastic floating pub, great place to spend a sunny afternoon. However, do not order food. It is possibly the worst pub food I've ever had - all frozen and tasteless.
C. C.
Great atmosphere on this old Thames boat, cool decor and a nice place for a date/drinks
Also had one of the pizzas which was pretty ace and would definitely be coming again. :)
R. Q.
Lovely location, great atmosphere. Vegan calzone was delicious as was vegan chocolate ice cream. However, was dissapointed that lemonade was flat!
D. R.
Nice place with good views over the river. Great lager selection in a jaunty bar in an old boat. A bit too small for big groups but we enjoyed a cheeky pint in the shade on sunny afternoon. Really creatively decorated, making it much more fun than the usual chain pubs and the food smelled great!
R. V.
Lovely little boat pub/bar with a deck for all those lovely sunny days. Reasonable priced and great value for money. Great choice of drinks considering the size of the boat. Beautiful views from the decks, which have nice little seats at the bar. Totally recommend for tourists, couples, friends or work gatherings, just perfect for a night out.
R. R.
Really fun and interesting boat bar that is accessible and colorful. Biggest problem is that there’s only one tiny bar and practically no outdoor room on a nice day so some form of crowd control would have been nice. Alcohol is moderately priced.
c. m. w.
Great view on the Thames River with a cooling November breeze , friendly staff, plenty of beer selections, good service and manage to try their finger food and it was good. Recomend to drop by if you are around the area
L. J.
Quirky place. Love this boat bar. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks and nice burgers for reasonable price. Perfect for sunny Sundays to chill and enjoy the view.
T. E.
Popped in after a walk round London. A shame I had to ask for a cloth to dry the table and seat after the downpour a few hours before. Great view over the Thames. Busy little place
C. C.
I came here on my first day in London, and stayed across the street in a hotel from this interesting restaurant, and was determined to be the typical tourist and do the whole fish n chips experience.
The weather was not on my side, although it was sunny it was very chilly and windy, but I 'boarded' this floating restaurant/ship eager to try their menu and knew immediately I was not going to be brave and sit outside like others, so inside I went. It's a bit of maze or steps and turns to get in, but I sat down and then realized 'ohhh nobody waits on you here..got it' so I lost my table because I went to the counter, and didn't want to leave my items/purse, coat etc. unattended, so be aware you need to order before sitting.
As far as food quality it was okay, I've had better fish and chips in the US/Canada then here, I know gasp, the irony, it was just okay. Nobody was overly friendly but absolutely not rude at all, just nothing that gave me the feeling they wanted or needed my business, perhaps the regulars and locals feel differently. I don't know 'pounds' and it was my first day in London so I wasn't sure if this place was pricey or not. Also, when I wanted another beer while eating my meal, I didn't know if I had to bring my plate and my stuff to get back up to order a beer because nobody was around asking if anything was needed, how weird would that look carrying my table back to the counter to get a beer?
I stayed for a week in London and even tho this place was convenient to go back to, I didn't return., nothing impressive.
A. N.
Bit freezing outside but warm enough below decks. Listen to me, I'm like an old sea dog already.
S. B.
Fun friendly environment good music good sound system drinks were nice, beers ciders cheap , cocktails expensive but in accordance to location . Boat is quite shabby inside but adds to charm..very friendly staff
L. G.
Great place, thd staff are fantastic plus it's open to all...sit down, respectful conversation or party animal dancing.
Fantastic atmosphere
O. O.
Nice old fashion boat at the Dock.. Good for small events. Location is great but just a little tiny for me. 😅 But a nice place
R. M.
Amazing place to have a drink with great views over the river towards Parliament, and friendly staff.
S. L.
Great casual place to hangout after work for some food and drinks. Prices are affordable. Ukele Wednesdays (if i can remember properly). Great vibe and views of the city. I'm definitely bringing non Londoners here to enjoy the magnificent night scenery
M. A.
Great spot for a drink, tasty pizza, live music! Alex is a Master Chef! Compliments!
A. S.
Excellent experience, amazing pizza, service and drinks.
Something very unique with beautiful views looking over the Thames.
S. M. B.
The place is great, the pizza excellent even though the choice is limited. On the bad side, the staff is unwelcoming and unhelpful. For that reason, I will not come back.
M. H.
Had such a lovely time here, perfect mood set, great drink selection, we sat down stairs and it was very busy, it turned out we was sat in the middle of ukalali night!! It was brilliant!! Great sing along and a amazing atmosphere. Great vibes all round and awesome staff. I'll be back on the 14th May 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
P. N.
This bar was the greatest find of mine in London. Right opposite the hotel, it looks so unassuming, but the atmosphere is GREAT and the food wonderful! Really well priced, and you can get a decent brunch here (Eggs Benny, genius). The best part is drinking in the arvo as the tide comes in, and suddenly after a few hours you're floating (literally...on the Thames). What a great sensation!
V. A.
Just popped in here because sun was on the deck .Was so suprised when we opened the door to the bar .Really quirky friendly staff. Will pop in again when we in the area .
Z. S.
Such a great place for celebrating any occasion. Staff was great, helpful and carrying.
A. B.
I really like the outdoor part, pretty with a nice view of Parliament and the river. Great in good weather! Pizza was decent, Pimm's is good (a bit weak) and prices are average I think.
S. P.
Beautiful little venue, great food, and very accommodating. A wide selection of alcohol, it would just be nice if there were more soft drink options!
W. J.
Pros:
1) Location good
2) Food was fairly good and priced at what you'd expect
Cons:
1) Service poor - we were charged before the food arrived. When the food arrived half of the pizza toppings were missing (like no goats cheese on the goats cheese pizza) - We were compensated for this with a free drink. Staff seemed a little in experienced, one waiter gave us two drinks and told us he had "no idea" which is which - which was quite funny - but that was pretty representative of the whole evening
2) They boot you off your table after 2 hours - this is fine but there's no warning of this. If they'd told us when we turned up it would be fine, but we ordered drinks and then immediately had to put them in plastic cups and leave.
3) Almost all tables are great with lovely views of the houses of parliament with the exception of one. They have clearly squeezed in one extra table and had to put it inside the ship where all the barrels of beer are... so no views and pretty noisy.
Overall I'd come back but I'd be sure to get a table on the main deck and probably would stick to drinks.
L. S.
Menu mostly pizza / calzone, but a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with wide range of music made for an upbeat evening on this docked barge. Really enjoyed it.
L. R.
Really nice and welcoming staff. Perfect view of the river, great music selection. Feel the gentle rocking of the Thames while having a cheeky pint and a bit to eat. Also swinging chair :D
T. T.
If the weather is right then this is a cool place for a few beers. Resonantly close to Vauxhall station.
S. J.
A bit pricey but nice novelty place.
Y. R.
Great place for a drink with amazing views. Pizzas are ok. Gets busy after 6 so try to book!
S. J. B.
Fantastic little pub, floating on the Themes river with views of Elizabeth tower (Big ben) and house's of parliament.
L. D.
This is the first restaurant/pub/bar I’ve been to since lockdown lifted. The staff were really friendly and tables were spaced far apart so I felt reassured at being able to social distance from others. The service was top notch, especially from Diane. The food was a slow wait as so many people now order food in order to have a drink. This isn’t the staffs fault at all and they kept us updated and when the food did come it was great quality for a great price. The music was also good and at the perfect volume so you could still talk to one and other. Will definitely be returning!
B. B.
Great quirky venue for some drinks. I imagine it packed in the summer but lovely and quiet for a winter drink.
A.
Recommend just for the views of Westminster! The staff are attentive and very covid safe. Ordering from the web-app was easy and the service was very fast. I want to head back for pizza some time. It looks great inside as well. At first you think it is a London Gimic from the outside but that could not be further from the truth!
J. P.
Such a lovely spot! Was just the two of us so we got seats at the very edge bench which was lovely because we had such a nice view :) the pizza and drinks were delicious and the staff were so fun, felt a bit nauseous from the boat rocking but that could’ve just been the sun and the shots 😂
J. L.
This place was a life-saver when its open-air decks meant it was open during semi-lockdown, but would be a fun place to eat & drink in 'peacetime' too. Smartphone menu browsing and ordering were easy & convenient once got the hang of. Gin range appreciated!
L. Y.
Small but lovely boat, the view from the outdoor seat were my favorite part. We had a burger and a few pints after. What I really love about the place was the atmosphere, fun and relaxing, I love the vibe. I highly recommend this place if you're going out with friends, this is also a good place to unwind.
J. M.
Just a beautiful place to take in the Thames, Westminster and the awesome of London Architecture, and enjoy a nice drink
C. O.
Enjoyed a nice sunset pint here, bit nippy on deck but nice down below.
J. N.
Lovely quirky place with great views of the Thames and Westminster.
A. N.
I’ve walked past this place many times during lockdown when it has been sadly closed. Wandering along the Thames in the sunshine on the way to the Tate Modern today, my wife and I sharing a day off work, we stopped for one drink… Needless to say we never made it to the gallery! We shall be saving that for a rainy day. The friendly staff, their accommodating nature, the great food, and excellent beer and Prosecco make this the new top of my list of faves. Thanks for fitting us in at short notice. Great views, great food, great fun! We will be back!
Y. F.
Great place to see friends during lockdown. Spacious seating for 6 and they were generous with the amount of space we have prio to the tier 2 implication.
Nice range of drinks, however due to it being a popular spot, it too ages to have our drinks and food come. Waited about 45min to an hour for a pizza and a drink... so had to bulk order my drinks which probably didn’t hell the service.
Overall, a nice spot for a drink. Can’t wait to attend in summer when it’s warm and you can sit in the sun and not the freeze!
K. G.
Open till late, good view. Only lights upstairs are too bright and without any cover.
N. M.
Been here before in the winter - loved it even more in the summer on a warm evening. Amazing views, decent priced drinks.
C. L.
Such a cool and quirky spot for afternoon and sunset drinks with great views over the River Thames
S. M.
First time here and I will definitely comeback after this lockdown. We just missed the sunset.. Let's see next time?
K. T.
Frequent customer here. Amazing location, lovely views. However sometimes the selection of beer doesn't quite satisfy, and may take a long time to arrive. Staff engagement can be mixed, I've had a great time mostly, but have had friends who have had very bad experiences.
J. D.
Great venue, but music was too loud for the atmosphere
A. I.
A lovely place to share a drink or two with family and friends. Prices are ok and the food is good - we tried pizza this time and it was very nice. The staff is also great: always polite and willing to please, it was a real pleasure spending the evening here :)
G. C.
Nice place to go for a casual beer and a simple pizza or coffee, especially when the sun's out
A. T.
Amazing experience!! Super accommodating staff and wonderful time altogether. Thanks so much for an amazing 21st!
F. B.
Fantastic place! They enjoyed the banted until we were kicked out... too many shots it seems. Really hope they'll have me back! And thank you for your patience
J.
Great location! Very appealable from
Spring time only , service is disappointingly slow but then the vibe overall of the place is good.
C. S.
Solid staple. Great service. ~Please add Guinness!~ YOU ADDED GUINNESS YOU LEGENDS
T. O.
Amazing views and very nice out door space on the river.
U. C.
It's a cool place..
Little bit expensive but worth it.. Good view.. Watching over the thames.
A. S.
With or without a reservation, day or night, summer or winter, this place is a gem. Great selection of beers on tap, including Jubel(!) Veggie pizza was 💯👌
Gave a 5 star review 2 years ago, updating now...
The team are working SO hard to keep the place as special as it ever was - in the middle of a pandemic.
Big thank you to Adrian and Dianne for looking after us, and remembering us whenever we come back.
F.
Nice atmosphere, beautiful view when the weather is nice, but the food quality is not at the best. Recommended for drinks.
P.
Great venue, especially in the good weather. Smashing view of houses of parliament and the Lonson eye. Oh and they have Corona on draught!
P. F.
Fun pub and place to have a drink on a nice warm evening. Not sure what it would be like in winter though. Very exposed.
K. W.
Nice place to enjoy the sun but always busy
Nice nibbles too
A. K.
Great place. Superb service. Definitely will come back
J. R.
Beautiful venue and friendly staff! We got to sit upstairs and look over the water which was lovely.
E.
Fantastic location with very delicious food, highly recommended
B. C.
Fantastic wee boat on the river, it's deceptive but it probably is open, go inside get a drink !
A. H.
Great day out finished on here, was wonderful. Long wait for drinks but lovely young chap served us.. Very friendly.
S. R.
Have visited a few times this year, usually on a livelier evening when there is live music on and it's really busy. Drinks are averagely priced, exactly what you'd expect for a central London pub. Visited with my friend this week when it was really quiet but had a nice relaxing atmosphere and we ordered food for the first time from here. Sat on top deck with river views, the food was amazing and so reasonably priced! I believe they've recently changed the menu. I'm not sure if they were a little understaffed at the time as it looked like the cook himself delivered us our food but we didn't wait very long for our food to arrive. He was lovely and couldn't have given better service. Definitely will bring my other friends here when they come to visit London as it is a gem of a place!
M. T.
A pint and a burger at this barge-pub on the Albert Embankment is how you need to be spending hot summer afternoons in London - though I imagine sitting inside on the rainy days is still good. There is a riverside view of parliament and the service is friendly and excellent. Social distancing is being maintained on the deck, with limits on numbers and demarcated 1m measurements in place to make it safe but functioning.
T. B.
Great little venue, good live music regularly and a fantastic way to hear/see/meet new bands. Friendly staff, food looks good (didn't try it, personally but shall at some point). Good range of beers on tap and bottled
R. F.
How fun that this old ship has been converted to a multi-level bar restaurant. You have to get your drinks and food ordered and then sit down. Relaxing. Cool. I like it!Went here with family and friends. Really good burger and great views of the river/embankment. I would definitely recommend to visitors. Good food in Central London at a reasonable price in a great location.
G. B.
I went to a Floating Jazz club which was excellent. I would highly recommend that everyone take the opportunity to experience it.
It's not a very large space obviously but it was more than adequate. It was quite a cosy experience.
The band was incredible. Very talented and they put on a great show. It was definitely worth the money.
The drinks are a little bit pricey, but then it's to be expected I imagine. The food smelt delicious and lots of people were ordering various things. I was tempted to myself by the delicious smells and the way people seemed to be enjoying it. Based on that I would suggest giving it a try.
I. T.
Very cute place with amazing view! Perfect for summer drinks ❤️
A. J.
Sick bar in the Thames with a view iver parliament
A. G.
I just like this place.. Nice for a couple of drinks with some friends
P. P.
The place was awesome. I've been there for the valentine's day gig and need to say it was great! Live music, drinks and dancing to country/rock-'n'-roll/sometimes funky hits. Fantastic event, lovely both inferior and the atmosphere. So much fun. Highly recommended ☺☺☺
R. D.
Lovely environment. Great drinks selection.
C. C.
Lovely view. Friendly staff and great service from AJ! Looking forward to coming back as soon as the weather gets better hihi amazing food too so let’s hope the uk summer will be kind on us so we can enjoy our time here more often
P. S.
We’ve all struggled to find safe havens in the whirligig of this year. For us, this is the one. We only wish we’d found it sooner. Brilliant hosts, delicious food, unbeatable views. The dream. N.B. be prepared to stay for more substantial meals than you intended.
H. E.
Nice stationary boat on the river serving food and drinks. Not a huge boat and if it's busy it can be a little cramped but over all it's a lovely venue. Has an upper and a lower deck with seating available, there's a good selection of drinks from wine, beer, cocktails etc and the food is really good. Mainly burgers and a Thai curry make up the menu.
G. O.
We hired Tamesis Dock's lower deck for a party last night and it was absolutely brilliant. It's such a characterful venue, the booking process was really easy and great value, and the communication from the team was excellent. They let us play our own playlist for the whole night and provided a tablet for us to play it on, also offering the option of playing it from our own device if we preferred. The staff on the night were really professional but also really chilled and accommodating, not at all uptight about anything, which really made our night as it enabled us to just have fun! We had an amazing time, as did all of our friends, and would recommend Tamesis Dock to anyone.
J. J.
What a cute charming place! It’s so great to be able to sit outside and be in the river. There’s comfy seating indoors and out. Lots of string lighting. There was an ukulele play along event going on when I went. It’s multi level inside.
One thing tho, my on tap beer was flat! No foam! A dead on arrival beer.
D. S.
Very good place to grab a drink in the evening. Always catches the sun in the evening. Not badly priced yet a great location.
On Wednesday they run a Ukulele night which I don’t know how to explain but it’s a great thing to watch or even to strum along to (and improve your skills).
The boat and alcohol is a bit of a struggle when it’s fully afloat at high tide. Overall though, top, unique place for a slightly central drink on a sunny day.
The nachos are some of the best I’ve had.
T. W.
A cracker of a bar/restaurant. A really quirky location in a converted 1930s Dutch barge. The boat has loads of character, and there's plenty of seating indoors and out - just mind your head indoors!
We had two main courses, and two drinks, and it came to less than £30. My burger was tasty and cooked well and the chips were some of the best I've had. The range of the menu isn't vast, but there's enough there for most tastes (think standard pub fare type meals). The staff were friendly and engaging.
Accessibility wise, it looks challenging - but that's down to the boat & it's age. There is ramp access from the pavement to the bar, but I don't know if there is to the loo - probably worth asking ahead if that's a necessity for you.
S. C.
Try not to get seated below deck, if the tide is in the boat rocks. Not good if you easily get motion sickness. Otherwise, great staff and service
I. G.
Really interesting bar! Try to get a seat downstairs if you don't mind the rockiness. Staff are friendly and helpful, very reasonable prices. Also lovely view of the river

Had Americana with lager from Czechia (also been told that the Czech Republic changed the name of the country - the more you know!). De-Li-Cious. You can really taste that it's not your usual corner-shop pizza. Dough is not too thick, nor too thin. And toppings are so flavoursome. Compliments to the chef!
D. T.
Had a great drink with friends last week. Excellent pizzas and very prompt service, great to get out again.
P. W.
My favourite pub in the whole world, tonnes of character, right on the river (literally sways in high tide) with good food and beer.
S. S.
Wonderful view with comfort food - deadly combination. Out on the deck is a great place to have lunch when the sun permits, with a scenic view of London. Was recommended by a colleague for the team to have a chilled lunch here.
There were plenty of classic drink choices. Food wise, despite initial impressions of being greasy, it was tasty and comforting (the burger, nachos and chips). The novelty of the boat adds to the quirkiness and good vibes.
A. B.
Pricey but difficult to complain at the location and availability of outdoor spacing. Just make sure you wrap at warm and book early. Not much to dislike
A. G.
A truly unique gig and a fantastic little venue. The beer prices are exactly what you'd expect for a floating bar on the river Thames, but it's very nice and well worth it to be able to spend a bit of time on the boat. I went to go see a friend's band play here and it was very much the most unique gig I've ever been to. Would strongly recommend that anyone who gets a chance to go does. Would love to return and try some of the food and enjoy a bit of time relaxing in its quirky décor. Would return again.
N. D.
Definitely a good summer venue! Need the warmth of the sun. Fantastic cocktails, genuinely! Good pizza too
M. W.
This place was a cool and unique experience. It is a bar that is situated on a multi-level boat, and I did not get sea sick, it was not rocking at all for those who might be concerned. There is a bar on the main floor and seating outside, covered and heated, and a lower level that was closed for a private event at the time. It was very busy on a Saturday night.
S. R.
Good local pub on a boat by the thames, particularly pleasant when it's sunny. You might have difficulty finding some space on the deck when the sun is out! Inside areas seem to be quite spacious but never actually spent q lot of time inside apart from ordering my drinks!
P. I.
It was my local pub for a year while I lived in London. It’s a pub on a floating boat on the Thames, which provides a lovely view of the Big Ben and also fish and chips for a great price. It’s a great way to spend one night in Central London.
J.
Amazing little boat. Can be hired for private parties. They do great food, have a lot of drink to chose from, and the staff are all really friendly. It's cosy and unique. Can't wait to go back
P. F.
Amazing view, great beers, and reasonably priced food.
F. C.
Very unique and fun. It seems to run without much investment, but maybe that's part of the charm. The seating selection is good, considering the space, but could be better.
Prices are obviously extraordinary, but it's central so of course they are.
You could plan a mutiny and take the boat to France if you fancied.
T. K.
I enjoyed the evening. For some alcohol and a pitching deck doesn't bode well. Really Excellent view and some pretty excellent beers well kept. I had a Adams Southwold Easy IPA which hit the spot on a sunny evening as the sunset. Unexpected good prices too.
N. G.
It’s a boat on the Thames that is a bar and inside has a kind of pirate feel. What’s not to love?
With many levels from port to bow (if such things matter with moored boats?) there’s lots of space even on a sunny Friday after work.
Two bars and friendly staff make a big difference. As for your ability to carry drinks on a tray on a moving boat ... depends on how much you’ve had ;)
Also been here for a kids party (inside) which was good fun and had the right kind of pirate spirit, helped by the shark on the wall.
J. G.
A very unique bar, we spent a couple of very pleasant hours here last Sunday
C. F.
Fantastic food, great value, awesome location!
T. B.
Really quirky boat ⛵ overlooking the thames. Nice and fun. Great drinks!!
G. J.
Very quirky pub with two levels inside and seat on the fore and aft deck. Decent range of beer. I once ordered a whisky sour here, not sure if they would do a great job, but they even made it the traditional way with egg white. You can google the tide times on the Thames if you don’t want to be on there when it’s floating on the water. Most of the time it is sitting on the riverbed.
M. W.
Really nice food with a beautiful location situated on the river Thames looking out to the houses of parliament. The staff are friendly and dogs are allowed on the boat. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well as in doors.
They hold live music sessions at times.
The only negative point is that it gets extremely busy on the weekends or evenings so not ideal for those who dislike crowds, it would be better to visit during the day.
M. C.
Nice boat pub with one of the best London backdrops you could ask for!
D. B.
Great service, good food. Amazing experience if you go downstairs during high tide - your eye level is the level of the water... Makes a change from yet another pub / restaurant in London. There's also always a small chance it will float away and you won't have to go back to work. Chances are slim but hope is a wonderful thing - perhaps the best of things.
D. I. J. V.
Staff very friendly a nice concept but unfortunately I had my glasses stolen after I left them lying on the table for 15 minutes. Keep your eyes on your wallet, purses, bags, glasses etc. And enjoy a nice place to have a drink. Hopefully the CCTV catches the thief and staff will phone me. Not heard anything from Tamesis Dock Staff
M. C.
This is a triple (and a bit) Decker boat, with a good beer and cider selection. The food is the usual pub affair, and the burgers are well made - the meat is juicy, and the toppings generous. The nachos are addictive. Great views across the Thames to the Houses of Parliament, and being on the river, the boat gets a welcome cool breeze in the summer. Staff are friendly and fast. If you don't like boats rocking, you have nothing to fear - it's sat on a bank and isn't floating (or at least, wasn't the whole day I was there).
H. J.
Went here for a birthday a few weeks ago. I've walked past it many times and never popped in. I'd definitely go back. We had an area for about 20 people, but it would equally suit a cosy date night, especially of you went mid week. Drinks were reasonably priced and the inside area was nice and warm even though it was freezing and January outside.
A.
It's a nice bar to have a drink with your friends or significant other.
The place is comfortable and cozy. You can seat outside, which gives you a great view of the Thames and the Big Beng (especially at night!). However, it's very windy there.
The inside is nice also, specially the lower level.
The staff is usually friendly and you don't have to wait a lot to get a drink. You can also get food and snacks there. I believe the kitchen closes at 10.
The music is nice, I really like it when it is live but they usually have DJs only. I went once when a band was playing and was awesome.
V. D.
I always go during the day while it's very quiet for a drink/snack, enjoy the beautiful view and relax from the tourists frenzy 200m away. It's very nice and funky. I take everyone who's visiting London there and they like it too! Breakfast was nice as well.
C. L.
The idea of this place is brilliant, the tourist view is there but the tourists don't necessarily make it all this way. It's a brilliant spot to enjoy a drink in the sunshine, but don't hold high expectations about the food. The taste was fine but the presentation very dull and the fried egg looked more like overcooked omelette. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful but ordering took much longer than I expected it to (and not because there was a queue). Overall I'd say 4 or 5 stars if you're just going for drinks, but 3 if you're going for food!
F. C.
Quirky little bar. Great food, great prices, original decor. One of a kind. I haven't seen anything quite like it in the area or anywhere else in London. Perfect for watching the sun set over the City with some friends and a few drinks.
A. P.
Great place to meet with friends. Great vibe and good food.
D. M.
Lovely views, watch out for high tide where it can get a little choppy.
O. N.
A bar in a boat docked on the Thames. It's been fairly busy every time I've been, and the selection of beers isn't the best but it's a unique setting with great views. Indoor seating is comfortable with plenty of areas for groups.
R. T.
Nice place for a drink after work, meeting up with friends or even a night out. The lower deck of the boat can be booked out for parties and there is an outside seating area on a nice day. Nice views of the Thames and close to Vauxhall station.
H. C.
The food is decent and served very quickly, but this quirky yellow boat, moored up for many years on Albert Embankment, is all about the view and the delightfully rustic, sorry rusty, ambience. Plenty of tourists, local hotel guests and office workers make up the regular crowd, it's open 7 days a week and drinks are well priced for this part of London. Although the food menu is made up of essentially good pub grub at heart, Tamesis Dock is well worth a look on a warm day in London, sitting on the top deck, watching the world go by.
A. G.
Weird table, but a lovely pint of Camden Hells. Ordering via app is simple and fast.
N. P.
I go to this place often for a coffee and i like it a lot. Nice view. Today they were understaff and i was paciently waiting for everything even if the male bartender was rude. He literally and loudly ask me to stop my nephew that scream for a few seconds. We have been waiting for 15 minutes to buy a juice for him and in the end we had to go away without it. The other staff was very nice.
W. B.
Probably one of the best views on the Thames of Westminster. Funky both indoors and above deck with plenty of seating. Small but reasonable beer selection and takes card payments too! Food doesn't look too bad either, though I've never eaten there.
S. C.
Great location and great beer. Food was ok but generally expensive and quite small portions. I had fish and chips which were fine and price ok but other dishes bought by friends were not really worth the money. Worthwhile reserving a table as gets very busy. All in all, I would go again through.
Y. M.
I like the Tamesis Dock. Walking up the gang plank, to this old Dutch barge in the Thames at the Albert Embankment is a thrill. Although there's always a queue to be served, it's well worth it. There's nothing like sitting up on the busy deck, in the open air, with a cold glass of something. Looking across the river at the houses of Parliament and just thinking, what a great place London is.
C. S.
Barman didn't put a strainer in my green tea. He took so long to make it I didn't have the heart to tell him that the tea leaves weren't supposed to be in the glass without a strainer. The queue was getting a little long. Britishness I suppose. Nice place though.
N. D.
Off the tourist route. So very enjoyable place to have a drink overlooking the parliament skyline.
J. S.
Good atmosphere and decent drinks; the food looks nice although we didn't have any. It was lively on a Friday night but not overly busy that we couldn't find a seat. Greatly-located by the river, amazing view of the Thames.
S. L.
Lovely place. Nice grub in pleasant surroundings. It gets very busy on a Sunday however but it's nice, so it will ;)
Staff are ever so nice too. Only grumble would be the deck and its lack of shade. It's so lovely to sit up there and chat and drink that it's easy to try to dismiss the sun baking down on you (and recently in London that's been quite some sun). A could of awnings or tarps or anything really to provide shelter to pasty skinned baldy folks like me, and it will be 5 stars from me.
S. T.
It is ok. Small selection of draught beers from tap, and service bit slow. Mind the boat on rainy, windy days keeps rocking and you can feel a bit dizzy
T. S.
It's like if Berlin had a UK-boat-baby. We went for beers and meals with work and it was super chill. Took a while to get the food and seemed a bit adhoc, but I liked that it was a bit slower than the rest of London. Nice to come here during warmer nights and look out for seals.
K. L.
Love this place! Attended a few parties here over the years, staff always very friendly, food is not "fine dining" but hearty, filling and good value. Beer reasonable in taste and price, staff always lovely. Has lots of character and you can't beat being by the river, especially in summer. Well worth a visit.
A. R.
Fun location, and good pizza
B. C.
Lovely staff, great menu and unique location. Firm favourite in the area!
G. G.
Great place for a pint! Sat on the upper deck looking over the Thames. Views of Parliment and many seagulls. Our bartender was a sweetheart and made our experience memorable!
A. A.
Strolling along the Thames River, you're hungry, and you see this is the nearest place for food... fret not, the atmosphere is fun and the fish and chips (which you must have at least once while in town) are significantly better than expected! Friendly service and great seating on the water in a funky little 3 story boat. Bathrooms were also clean.
M. M.
Amazing place with amazing atmosphere and live music.
Unfortunately the employees were rude and the food (chicken skewers) was really overpriced for the amount.
Cocktails are a no go but they have a nice selection of beers.
D. M.
Fun for a few drinks, but not the place for a quick pub lunch as it is very slow. If you go at the right (or wrong, depending on how you look at it) time of day, when the tide is at a certain level the whole place bobs around which is a novelty.
If you can get a spot on one of the upper decks on a sunny summer's day, it's a fun place for a pint.
F. B.
Always try to get to Tamesis when I am in town. Great beers, food is OK (could be better), great atmosphere/vibe and views. One of my favourite places to go with friends in a Friday after work.
N. C.
Great little boat bar on the Thames.
Friendly staff.
R. B.
Great place for a late night drink.
S. L.
Great views and your on a boat sooo pretty great spot to have a few drinks at. Though if its crowded inside- the smells eps in winter can be off putting. Sitting outside on the decks is fun though chilly at times-though the heaters on the longer deck side facing Parliament is a mega plus. Service is pretty quick, food though, is a no go zone.
D. W.
Really cool bar. Classic old life at its finest. Lots of different decks to sit on.
a. d.
Live band but had just missed it but helped them out the door with a drum - best sideways! Loads of wandering about room and even a hammock swing chair.
Nice attentive bar staff open late
J. M.
Great little unique venue. Friendly vibe and the food whilst quite basic is very tasty and well cooked using fresh ingredients. Smashing views of The Thames and Big Ben / Palace of Westminster. Highly recommended. Quirky and lovely!
B. S.
A tourist trap but a great tourist trap I really liked this. All be it slightly rocky
G. D.
My favourite place. Food is great and they have one of my favourite beers. They don't take reservations after 6pm which often times forced me to walk past it as it was overfilled with people.
G. Q.
Agreed with other reviews in that the food is decent. But you're mostly here for the drinks and the location. Close to many tourist attractions yet most tourists don't know about it. They're open 7 days a week, something very much welcomed in Europe. ;)
D. E.
Nice setting. On an old boat. Good range of drinks and cocktails to choose from and food to nibble on. Pretty tight at the bar where drinks are ordered though, as it's so tiny.
D. T.
Great settings: pub on a boat. Small but far from the madding crowd and less chance of London overcrowding. You have both inside and outside available whatever the weather. Nice food with some original twists never seen before. Good choice of beer if you think that is the space.
A. P.
Lovely river boat pub on The Thames, one of the nicest places to go for a drink on a hot day with a great view of Parliament. Gets very busy on a warm day as expected, has a good selection of beers too. Downside, doesn't offer contactless payment and minimum card spend is £5
J. M.
Cool bar if the weather is good but there is obviously limited space if it rains! The bar staff are friendly and fun and the food is good, although the burgers are expensive and they did get my friend's order wrong. Still, a great place for summer drinks and I will be back often
M. B.
Great location and picturesque ambient make this pub a good meeting point for locals and an interesting attraction for tourists. Good choice of beers as well! I'd recommend it for a beer with friends on weekdays or for a pre-party Saturday night!!
Ps: try the Camden Pale Ale, it's worth a fiver
A. S.
Lovely pub on a boat floating on the Thames, with views over Westminster and London eye! Food also very nice. Occasionally hosting interesting gigs. One of my favourite pubs in London!
S. S.
This was one of the coolest bars/pubs we saw on our entire trip to England. While it was packed and too cold to go outside, there were lots of beers and the crowd was young and fun. Great place to visit for some beers!
B. W.
Great venue and friendly service. Went for lunch and the food wasn't inspiring unfortunately. The lunch special looks good value - but the halloumi burger had a lazy sprinkle of colslaw that wasnt value for the price of the burger. Would definitely go back for a drink - just not the food.
M. D.
I went there to celebrate my birthday, staff rude and no one came to us to ask if everything was ok or if we want something else. We always had to go to the bar and ask and bring it to our table. There was the chance to play our music, but it wasn't mentioned at all when I went there to book the table, and the lady was negatively surprised we didn't have any playlist ready (??).
It's a shame because the place is amazing.
L. E.
Great place to in the city centre with a roof top deck with seating to take in the iconic sites of London. Variety of beer and cider on offer as well as food. The location gives off a student bar vibe with the occasional band night if that is your thing.
L. D.
One of my favourite places for an after work beer on a Summer evening. The view is beautiful, it has a good vibe, and the food is ok. Can get very crowded after 5pm on a sunny day so get a table on deck early.
J. C.
A hidden gem in the city with friendly staff, great selection of drinks and most importantly, a river view on the deck. If the wind is too strong, just go downstairs to catch some warm. Perfect for a date night.
J. F.
I hosted a party for 15 at Tamesis Dock last week and had a truly memorable night. It is situated in an amazing position with fantastic views, and the staff were extremely friendly and supportive throughout. I cannot recommend more highly for an alternative to the norm when looking for a party venue. Five out of five - I'll be back!
A. A.
Quite a nice boat. Only had a pint of cider, but seemed really nice.
E.
The pub is an actual boat anchored at the Southbank. Fantastic location with a great view that extend from Battersea Power Station to the Parliament, Big Ben and London Eye. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Good choice of menu, although the food quality could be improved.
Nice crowd of professionals. It can become really busy in Spring and Summer or any sunny day, when you can catch the sun on the upper deck.
The Tamesis Dock organises events and can be rented for private parties.
R. A. G.
One of my favourite bars in London.
Has a certain something (perhaps the atmosphere, perhaps the décor, perhaps the view, etc) that is hard to define but, having said this, I can say with total confidence that Tamesis Dock is worth a visit.
Always a hit with colleagues, family, and friends alike.
Top tip: watch the sky change over the skyline then stay for the banter.
R. S.
Really unique experience, beautiful views and nice atmosphere. Drinks were good but nothing special. Shame you can't reserve, and bar staff could be a little more friendly but overall I would definitely visit again.
M. B.
Good venue for a warm spring/summer evening; but also a great indoor area if the weather isn't as great. Can get a bit rocky when the tide moves and the bar gets *very* busy so be prepared to queue... Great staff thought and pretty good prices for the area.
M. S.
I organised a party here for my wife, for 12 people. We had a really good time, the staff were fantastic and very accommodating. The boat itself has a lot of character and charm, and a good selection of beers, both bottle and draught. The food was also very good, but unfortunately did not have a fair few things
V.
Ok place, good view but all in all nothing special. The food was baaaad I am afraid. The highlight I think is the dancefloor which is so slippery and curvy that you will make some weird dance moves when you are dancing....or walking....or standing, no excessive alcohol required.
C. G. J.
A very unique place with friendly staff.
The entire venue sways as the waves brush against it and I was a little concerned as to how well I could keep my balance whil drinking in a rocking boat. Fortunately the tide lowered as the night went and by closing time the boat was still although by that point I was swaying from having a little too much to drink.
A. S.
Drinks on a boat always feel impossibly glam, even if the boat in question looks like a pub and doesn't actually leave the dock. But on a sunny day, Tamesis Dock is a really nice (and not too busy) place to watch the sun go down with a drink. The drinks are well-priced and there's a much bigger downstairs area that's perfect for private events, or if it gets a little choppy out. Much more exciting than the other pubs and bars in the area.
D. P.
Alex with the hat was amazing - very attentive and made sure our drinks were OK. Loved the food and will be coming back
C. M.
Fantastic place for an afternoon drink. It's not a fancy place, but great vibe and good beer.
The place gets quite busy so worth getting there before the local businesses finish for the day.
A. A.
Really cool venue, drinks aren't extortionate prices
C. r.
Drinking on a boat isn't my idea of fun because I get super sea sick even if a boat isn't moving it's the rocking! -cries- BUT it was so much fun! When we went there it was actually pouring down with rain so we sat in the downstairs bit (the hull?). There were fairy lights everywhere, and a swinging chair. The food (chips and a wrap I think) hit the spot and drinks were not mega expensive too. There was also a cool view of Westminster :D I'd definitely recommend it and go again!
N. S.
A crazy bar aboard an old boat, that floats on the river when the tide is high. Good for an evening drink in the summer, this place gets hugely busy in a Friday, when the inside becomes a sort of nightclub. It's a bit of a walk form Vauxhall tube, but worth it for the views of Parliament and the river. Not a lot of shade to be had on a hot day on deck...
M. L.
During summer time amazing place to go for a drink🥂
T. B.
Not bad, the place has a lot of potential but is let down by the staff they employ. Maybe I was unlucky, but today's experience was all too similar to other badly run places I've been before. Staff very slow (10 mins to serve two vodka Cokes and a bottle of beer?) and were only serving the ladies; waited 25 minutes (got ignored thrice) and gave up, not worth it. Seems like a high turnover (staff) kind of place, could be more ship shape.
R. H.
I like this place - cute little boat serving a good range of beers and decent food. The fish and chips portions could be a little more generous, but overall I'd recommend the Tamesis as an unusual, charming little drinking hole close to central London
A. L.
Pleasantly surprised to see how spacious this place is. The prices are for the area, not necessarily for the uniqueness or quality of what they offer. When sitting outside it can get rather loud from the crammed people and the ongoing traffic. Oh, also, on a windy day it can get really rocky, however it’s still enjoyable if you haven’t had one too many.
S. B.
Vala was simply marvellous ... squeezed us in and made us at home in seconds... worth his double weight in gold! Kiara superstar and super helpful
M. T.
Great views and friendly staff. A good choice if you're in the area
I.
Great food, atmosphere and music.
Slightly hippie.
W. T.
Really nice place to go, has a good vibe when bussy, and quite. Good views and the food is pretty good to, though I have only eaten fish & chips there. Good place to have a few drinks
S. L. (.
Billy was above amazing and a treasure for my friends birthday he is a treasure. The Tamesis the best of all time my fave pub boat. Great Pinot chiete.
C. S. w.
Love this place. Great food with a varied menu. You must try the goats cheese salad. Staff are of the mature "student" student types. Very friendly but sometimes look like you want them to sort thier hair out and put some proper clothes on. But always friendly and polite. Heartly recommend visiting.
J. M.
Delicious food. We went for lunch in the early afternoon and it was great; food prices were reasonable and it was proper, hearty food as well. Plenty of people hanging out there and a nice view of Westminster across the Thames.
C. D.
Went for lunch with colleagues and really enjoyed it. My food wasn't great (I had the nachos, which took ages to come and weren't very nice), but everyone else's looked good and you can't knock the value. Bit of a weather-dependent place though, I wouldn't go if it was anything other than sunshine.
M. E.
An 'hip' venue with good bar, pub food eg halloumi burgers! Friendly staff. Good spaces inside and outside, lovely views over the tribe river. Food a little pricey for what it is but you gotta pay a bit for such a great venue in my mind.
J. M.
Really quirky fun boat bar with food. In the summer is very difficult to find a spot to sit but the views of the houses of parliament are amazing. Food quite friend but good if that's what you are looking for
J. R.
Less a place to come for food than to meet friends for drinks in an unusual environment. In good weather, it is pleasant to sit on the deck (whilst noting the direction of the breeze and keeping to shelter). Inside consists of an upper galley housing the bar where one enters and a small number of two-person tables, and a lower deck reached by very steep steps, with a crooked floor, sofas, chairs, deck chairs, and other eccentric furniture, and also the toilets. The menu is not extensive and, but the food and drinks are very well priced when taking into account the location, and the quality is above average. The toilets, whilst not dreadful are not pleasant. Another drawback from having to climb steps to reach the boat from the street and inside to reach the toilets from the upper galley means this is definitely not a place for people of limited mobility.
S. D.
It's in a funny area (not much going on) but this boat is a pretty special place to have a few drinks and admire the city from the Thames. Well-priced drinks, a boat basement (is that a thing?) you can rent out for private events and a DIY feel to the place. Nice.
I. N.
Quirky pub on a boat. Great views of the river and across to the Houses of Parliament.
S. L.
Really nice place, good food and great venue by the river! Serving is alright, not the best, but the atmosphere compensates for that. We found places to seat both on dock and underneath; a lot of international
People drop by here.
H. F.
Fantastic place. Favourite pub in London. The staff are great, the food is great. The best part is when the tide is in and the whole place starts rocking, it feels like a boat party.
J. S.
Such a lovely place for a first date or with friends to share a pizza and drink couple of pints❤❤
S. D.
Close to Vauxhall station, they have killer wraps (in a good way), staff are friendly and they have a good selection of beers. It's an actual boat, which makes it a fun place to a have a drink or dance inside in the evening. It's very good for groups.
E. B.
A lovely place to have a drink if you like both beer and boats and can't afford a yacht. nice views, good food and decent drink selection
N. R.
Friendly staff, excellent views and great pizza. I had the new vegan calzone which was fab, I was so happy to see so many vegan pizza options.
B. P.
I visit most weeks to play ukelele. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere lively. I love the quirky decor and the fact that there is a space for whatever you want to do. And great views.
D. M.
The dock is a wonderful spot for an evening out with friends and family. The warm inviting street and local area hosts a wide range of entertainment options that you can match to the Dock itself.
Service is well organised and truly delightful. Avoid at peak times at the weekend to prevent disappointment.
R. L.
Eclectic, random, moored boat-turned-bar, on the relatively unfrequented stretch of the Vauxhall Thames.
I went there for my good friend's joint 40th birthday which he was celebrating with his wife. The staff here are super accommodating and serve all drinks with a smile. There's a tiki vibe mixed in with a nautical theme which makes the overall atmosphere great if you're looking for a fun, unpretentious evening.
Good outdoor space on top deck which would be popular in summer.
They put in a good spread of finger food too.
s. l.
Thank you to Raf and his colleagues for such a friendly welcome. Pizzas were delicious & came with wine & beer advice!
s. p.
Great bar/club/boat. They have DJs and a small dance floor, was quite busy when we were there but bar service was quite quick. NIce to be able to go out on deck for some fresh air and admire the views
I. F.
Nice pub, good food. On Wednesday there is the fantastic Ukulele night! Karaoke with more then 10 Ukulele musicians that can perform all your favourite songs! Highly recommended!
S. H.
My all time favourite floating bar in London. Have been a regular here for many years
N. Z.
Really good fun, nice vibe and decently priced drinks. Bar staff really look after you. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars not 5 is because the food was not great. Everything else good!
E. C.
Still my favourite 'pub' in London, nothing quite like it! As ever we had a great time last night with cocktails, amazing views and tasty nachos!
N. K.
Great spot if the sun is shining and out on deck. It does get busy around 5pm with the office crowd, but more the merrier! Food is ok but can be hit and miss, but what can you expect it's a smallish boat.
J. T.
Had a really good experience here a few days ago. Would highly recommend to my friends. Its definetly worth a visit if you have the time now we are past the busy Christmas period. Can be much quieter on the weekdays if you can get there around this time.
R. B.
Cool, casual and characterful bar with multiple interior and exterior spaces. Available regardless of tides on the Thames its rustic charm and relaxed staff make for a laid back and relaxed atmosphere in the centre of the city.
B. D.
Great pub for during the Summer, also one of the few places in London that serves Cornish Pilsner. Worth checking out for NYE as well, post-12am tickets are usually around £30 so perfect for a few drinks after watching the fireworks!
A. G.
The place is really nice , really creative decoration inside ,the food is good. Is parfect if you want just few drinks. The waiter is absolutely lovely and super handsome.🤩😜
R. B.
Fun casual bar on a boat, slightly on tje piss but better for it. Decent price, friendly staff, great fries and a proper energetic cheesy band playing classics the night i went

A bar on a boat is a nice idea and I understand that the proprietors are far more constrained by the "building" than most but the Tamesis Dock doesn't make the most of it. As a venue it's a bit quirky/grungy with dim interiors and mismatched furniture. It feels more like a pop-up than anything else and desperately needs a bit of a refresh. But it's just poorly organised. When I went London was enjoying summer storms - the venue had table umbrellas they were putting up two hours too late. The bar staff completely lost track of who they were serving next (though at least admitted it). Though busy there were little nooks that could have been used by patrons that were completely unavailable. For those with motion sickness - a friend who'd been before said that at high-tide the boat moves disconcertingly but I suppose for everyone else that's a feature rather than a bug.

I was so pleased to find this place whilst walking the Thames! It's a lovely bar boat which is docked serving nice drinks on the Thames with a top deck seating area. Loved it 😊
J. S.
Great place, great staff, great drink, food and of the the greatest views in London.
N. S.
On a warm night, enjoy a night out with friends on the top deck and check out a sweet view of the Big Ben! The service is friendly and dancing on the bottom level is fun too. It's a bit kitch-- I couldn't decide wether it was just the right amount or a bit overboard! My only real beef was with the seriously gross toilets...but if you're not fussy about bathrooms, I would recommend this little gem.

This review is long overdue and it won't be a long one. My favourite place/pub/bar/venue in the whole of London - period. Head there on a sunny day and you will not be disappointed!
A. M.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. There's plenty of drinks to choose from and the staff were friendly.
J. C.
Absolutely love this place. Great views of the houses of parliament and big Ben. Good drinks and food at reasonable prices. Something about being on a boat is special in London as well.
I. d. C.
I just love this place. The location, the bar itself being a boat. Its cosy ans the music is generally very good. Just don't expect tables outside if it's sunny and warm
S. M.
I was invited to a book launch at the boat, although I had known of this place for years this was my first time, I felt I had missed something. Good atmosphere good beer and good food
L. W.
Nice view. Good atmosphere
B. S.
Nice spot for a drink in summer overlooking the river, obviously!
Quite a strange interior designed for parties.
Food isn't great but staff are warm
H. C.
Great boat bar along the Thames. Good atmosphere and views. Service is not very efficient, but you just have to grin and bear it..
S. S.
Cool quirky (and very busy) pub on a moored barge between Waterloo and Vauxhall. Live music. Nice food, although fairly standard pub fare, plus a decent selection of beers, "craft" and otherwise.
A.
Is a boat, but is not on water. Also, toilets are odd. Also sum guy was playing music. Twas aight.
B. S.
Perfect in sunny weather with views over the Thames and Houses of Parliament
C. W.
Went here for a private event. Not the best on cocktails and queue order, but nice staff and great music... though a bit loud for such a small space.
E. L.
One of my favourite bars in London, amazing views unique environment and not crazy prices either. Love having a drink here on a sunny day.
P. G.
Great atmosphere, beautiful views across the river, reasonably priced food but pizza is only OK
M.
A cosy but great pub to visit if you're in the area. It's next to a bus stop or you can reach it with a short walk from Vaxuhall, Lambeth or Westminster. Beware of the rocking when it's high tide! Only venture if you can deal with the rocking... ;)
S. P.
One of my favourties pub to go and see live music. Great view from the beer garden!. I better beer selection would improve the place a bit more.
R. R.
Nice bar/pub on a boat. The views are very nice, the interior is querky and the food is good. The perfect spot for a drink with a view on a sunny day
d. o.
Great atmosphere, medeokre food. Had many fun evenings drinking to the sound of eclectic local music and drinking some tasty G&Ts. Couldnt beat the view of parliament. Had some friends come along who werent so keen, but i think i judged them for poor taste ratgher a fault in this inventive, creative, awesome bar ;-)
P. A.
Lovely outdoor boat - great place to relax in the sun
I. G.
Rafs Pizzas are perfect! Lots of vegan options available. Great views of the river.
I. H.
'The Boat' is one of the best places in the area to wow your friends by visiting, with the Houses of Parliament a stone's throw away (if you have very strong arms). Craft beers ahoy, the only drawback is it can be hard to get a seat, especially if there's a function on.
D. T.
Very busy Saturday night. Great service and looked after by staff
R. W.
Grubby cool. This place is a gem if you like off-beat genuine places, rather than heavily styled or created places.
It might be a bit grubby for some, but if you prefer it "real" you'll love it here.
D. S.
Party boat. dutch barge that is all about sunny evenings and riverside drinking. Hosts all sorts of private parties so expect a mixed bag of punter. Birthday parties, fancy dress, stag dos all welcome. often at the same time. This can be both a good thing or bad depending on your perspective. Reasonable food and fun-time staff
S. I.
Lovely place to go for a drink especially when the sun is out. The food seems amazing. A great place to spend some time with friends.
D. R.
Great place to catch views of Parliament
A. O.
Amazed by how good the burger and chips are. it's cool and cozy to stay inside in winter times but I definitely will come back to have drinks on the deck!
C. M.
Bear in mind if you book for 20 people you get one table that fits 6-8 at most. Nice venue, decent views and very reasonable prices for the location.
D. C.
Ideal place to enjoy a beer. Staff is very friendly and they have a very wide selection of beers. Music and food is amazing.
L. L.
Great fun and quirky bar in a boat with good beers and bands down below.
Don't forget to enjoy the lovely views of Big Ben and the London sky line.
A. O.
Great pub on the river.
K. B.
Been here a couple of times for drinks and love the views when sitting on the deck. Really nice staff and a lively vibe in the evening.
J. P.
I love this place, quite expensive for drinking beer but love the decoration also the staff really friendly!!!! And the sitting areas are amazing!!!
Z. B.
Awesome place to grab a beer on the bank of Thames. Perfect for small groups, date night or a beer after-work. Live music on some days.
J. B.
Great atmosphere and location! Real relaxed feel about the place, which is perfect for after work drinks! Food's pretty good too!
C. H.
It's a pub on a boat! This is a great summer drinking hole. Drinks selection could be a bit bigger but I would definitely return
S. U.
Nice atmosphere and quite scenic. But the place felt a little crowded at times and not the most well looked after. The prices aren't fantastic either.
A. H. B.
Great views. But food could be better. I like the vibes and the life music. Perfect place if you want to chill
B. D.
Great setting on the river and a fun place to hang out. Food is okay but pretty slow. Definitely go for drinks
F. W.
Apprehensive at first when my friend brought me here but what a nice spot to have a drink and chill on the Thames. Definitely would go again!
C. S.
Really stunning view and ambiance ( good music) far enough from the touristic area packed with people , good selection of beer, great terrace but the food is a bit disappointing but cheap as well...altogether great place for apero !
A. V. C.
Tamesis dock is a floating pub which offers exceptional views of London at night from a unique perspective. Here you will be gobsmacked by the views of the Houses of Parliament and the Westminster area. Seeing the famous Big Ben from a boat is an unbelievable experience.
F.
Awesome drinks & food. Excellent views, great people!! Eat upstairs on the deck for views of the London Eye & Big Ben!
J. B.
I like the boat, sadly food isn’t worth the price. Selection of drinks is excellent and members of staff are fine - smile more and the whole world will smile back at you !
N.
An interesting place to have a drink. Views to Westminster, river and boats. Lost a star as they didn't serve any draft beer.
J. M.
Good place for a cheeky night-cap
G. S.
One of the greatest spaces in London. The atmosphere here is incredible and the views over the river.....unique. Best nachos in the City....
M. B.
Decent beer selection & lovely place to sit by the river on a sunny day. The toilets are in a bit of a state, but they are in the bowels of an old boat after all!
E. B.
Had an amazing waiter called Alex G! So friendly and attentive! Would deffo recommend and return soon!
r. c.
Lovely cafe/bar boat. Great atmosphere and is lovely to be by the river. Nice staff.
B. G.
Cute pub on a boat along the river. Lovely sunset views over the Thames.
C. M.
Character in spades this barge has! Short of talking like a pirate this permanently docked, floating bar will have you finding your sea legs in no time whilst you enjoy a beer or cocktail on the top deck under the towering presence of Big Ben. Inside you'll notice the slightly cheesy decor and the raucous atmosphere that whips up into a frenzy on the dance floor deep in the hull of the ship. For a maritime party or a quiet drink in a unique location you don't get better than this.
M. M.
Best little place in London! Reasonable drinks, solid food, and a great view. Love bringing friends here!
D. C.
Had private party there. Great, fun venue with nice simple grub and good range of drinks. Lovely friendly staff.
S. D.
This is a quirky and friendly bar. Cocktails aren't advisable here, but any other drink and a lovely view.
J. R.
Was a fun, quirky little spot with tonnes of character! A good range of drinks and the food looked fantastic (although I didn’t get anything myself.)
J. A. B.
Really fun bar. Decent selection and nice for a smallish private party. Can be rocky at high tide so if you struggle with sea-sickness this might not be the place for you
N. M.
Awesome docked boat bar. Great to grab drinks before or after a meal. Can get quite rammed but this adds to the atmosphere also.
G. G.
Awesome boat that's not really a boat, but you can feel it away if you drink enough!
T. W.
Love the view next to the window. Food is very nice, and nice location for a restaurant bar thing. Would recommend going.
A. H.
The best vegan pizza I've ever had, i even had to question whether it was vegan! Delicious!
C. M.
Great place to go in Covid times! Felt a bit queasy as it rocks when its windy but it's a interesting experience.
T. S. L.
If you’re looking for something unique, look no further than this converted Dutch barge, permanently floating between the Vauxhall and Lambeth Bridges. The top deck is the perfect place for long Summer evenings, sipping on your bevvy of choice and taking in the stunning views of the city.
To read more of what Tamesis Dock has aboard go to the Twenty Something London website

Quirky place, good use of a moored boat. Toilet floor is on a slope so watch out after a few beers!
c. c.
Excellent food dog friendly and good price beer cider and enjoyable staff and very friendly .I will be back and recommend great place to have a beer and burger ...
A. A.
Amazing food with live band great atmosphere
N. P.
You know, this is pretty good. Compared to other pubs, other places, this is pretty good.
M. W.
Friendly staff, great location overlooking Houses of Parliament and decent prices! Food was ok and only weak point, but still good value for money!
E. G.
Great pub, great views, cheap drinks. Need to book before to get a table outside
K.
A pub on a boat! Awesome interior & amazing outdoor space on the decks. Good selection of drinks & food too. Win!
H. M.
Great atmosphere, good drink selection, friendly staff.
Came here for the jazz night, will definitely come back again on a normal night!
P. J.
Great bar on a dry-docked boat. Beers and food are good, with decent veggie options, and views up and down the Thames...
C. R.
I like the quirky feel of the place, nice beers, the only downfall would be limited spaces to sit. But its a boat so its kind of expected.
E. M.
We've been there only to have a drink. Incredible for sunny days, the views are amazing, and the boat it's cozy decorated.
G. L. P.
This is the boat that rocked, literally. Starting life as a Dutch barge in the 1930s, originally named Annie G and rumoured to have sailed from Holland to Paid, Tamesis (named after the River Thames’ historical name), is now used as a floating pub, live music and events space. Almost directly opposite the Houses of Parliament, and complete with some surprisingly tropical feeling outside space, there are some pretty special views. Inside it’s a remarkably spacious, higgeldy piggeldy, wooden playground. A unique gig experience in London if ever there were one.
Thanks for the tip off: Karli-Helene Rane.
S. M. R.
Lovely place woth nice food options. At night some dj created a warming up atmosphere.
A. B.
It was ok. Odd location though as it didn't appear to be near anything else so was a bit of a pain to get to. It was quite small as well and really cramped. Drink prices were ok though.
P. P. (.
Nice view and concept but a bit pricey. Food is average, cleanness is also average. 5 stars for the view, 3 stars for the rest.
C. W.
One of the best places for a quiet beer while looking out over the Thames
B. H.
Very popular drinking hole on a hot day.
They serve food and a lot of it. Good to watch the world go by on the river.
S. A.
Awesome place, with a good menu and friendly bar staff, a barge over looking an iconic spot of the Thames, this place frequently will attractd London's elite.
K. S.
A wonderful place to be on a sunny day. The waitress with the curly hair and pronoun pin is so friendly!
C. A.
Lovely place to down a few chilled beers for a scenic view . Lively place
D. R.
Surprisingly good beer selection, not as expensive as I expected for the novelty of being served on a boat. Lovely atmosphere
L. E.
Great little venue, good range of drinks and a great atmosphere. Very hot during gigs due to lack of a/c or opening windows.
R. H.
resisted coming here because It sounded gimmicky' but friends dragged me and I'm glad they did. Lovely relaxed and friendly vibe, with good food and a great view :)
F. P.
Cool boat too chill out in Vauxhall on the embankment. Good prices, nice and cheerful. Will definitely return
A. W.
Probably the best bar on a boat on the Thames. Lovely place to chill out on a sunny evening.
d. c.

G. G.
Great place with a character. It’s a ‘must do’ for everyone visiting London. Pleasant, relax atmosphere and great views.
N. T.
Nice place for a drink after work, worth to pay a visit, great food too. Service is slow sometimes cause it gets very busy.
T. M.
Funky bar on a boat. Conveniently located along the river but no much space aboard. Beer is decent.
T. B.
Tonight its gonna be my second time on the floating jazz club. Such an experience. Recommended highly.
m. w.
This is that depends on you. If you love to mix then its great. Personally I do. However, the better half not so much. I've booked a couple of parties there .
R. H.
Great place for a drink on a sunny day, get's quite busy though so try to get there fairly early and keep your seat.
C. S.

Lovely place to have a drink and meet friends. Or even for dating on a boat having a nice cocktail!
K. L.
Unusual little venue with nice drinks menu and some of the best nachos in London! Baked tortilla chips rather than fried!

Nice view

Really nice place, food came out very quickly and was delicious, and a view of the houses of parliament on the Thames..
Can't argue with that!
M. C.
Fairly unique place with decent drink selection. Outside seating on the top decks and some more inside
A. V.
One of my favourite locations in London. Nice easy atmosphere and good pub food.
T. R.
Great open air space to enjoy a drink on the Thames
A. L.

n. s.
This is a really nice place, especially when the weather is nice.
Great stuff and nice things to eat or have with your drink.
K. H.
Great pub on the Albert Embankment with a lovely view of Westminster and South Bank in the distance. Food is great and the staff are lovely.
M.
Nice little place I've walked past loads but only recently stopped in to check out. Good for sitting out in the sun with plenty of space down below too
