Reviews of The Admiralty, Trafalgar Square
J. W.
A really lovely pub, friendly staff, very clean and a modern interior. Felt well managed with some interesting beer choices. I went for the Amstel as they gave it to me, so no complaints given that. Would happily return.
C. S.
Went for the first time yesterday, and the food is just amazing! Probably one of the best pies I've ever eaten. I would definitely go back when im in London next 🤤👍
G.
After visiting the National Gallery, I was expecting a pretty generic pub, I was wrong! The location is fantastic, just across the road from the corner of Trafalgar Square.. look for the Canadian flags on the building opposite.
It's a beautiful pub, loads of memorabilia with lots of character.
Staff were lovely, food great and I discovered Beavertown craft beer, very tasty! Nice mixture of locals and tourists,
Next time I'm near Trafalgar Square, I'll be popping in, totally recommended!!
V.
Love this pub. Great atmosphere, very tasty fish and chips. Hot chocolate was delicious on a cold evening. Very helpful staff.

Very nice pub. The place is clean, bright and the high ceiling give you an impression of space which is enjoyable.
We've received a warm welcome from this lady with nice and funky purple hair ☺️. She took us to a table and then, the order was taken very quickly and our cider came as well very quickly.
Very nice decoration, good range of beers.
Nice pub. Will go again 👌

PInot at the table, this light and delightful pub on several floors has excellent food and especially fast service. My meal was served quickly, and was seasoned with fresh HErbs - such an unexpected delight!

A great location and appropriately themed pub too. Restaurant area is up the stairs in the gallery. The loo was quite quirky with a glass panel obscuring a staircase. On visiting the basement with its naval theme was closed. Food was very good (tasting pie board) and staff were friendly.

The Admiralty is a great meeting place due to it's location (next to Horatio Nelson) and it's size. It has a grand feel to it, set off perfectly by the giant flags that are a focal point of the bar. There are snug booths around the edge of the main bar and plenty of tables for beer and gathering points. You can order at bar, or for larger groups table service is offered by fab staff. There is a great nautical feel about the pub and not just in it's name. Downstairs, currently closed, there are wooden companion ways and brass port holes a plenty 😊. The toilets are spotless. I love this place and I make sure I am a regular visitor. The beer is good and food most acceptable, although I would expect slightly bigger portions in keeping with the pubs ambience. Sailors / seafaring folk need feeding up 😀

What a great pub & restaurant! Beautiful, light and airy inside, while still feeling like a traditional English pub. Great selection of beers, and good service. We had erroneously ordered a meal that we thought was vegan, but was actually vegetarian. We realised it was not vegan and couldn't eat it, but accepted that it was our oversight and were prepared to pay for the meals anyway. The waitress/manageress very graciously removed the meals from the bill and didn't charge us. We thought it was a really lovely gesture! Highly recommend 👌

Very nice pub, my wife and I called in for a quick meal while down in that London. we both opted for a fishfinger butty with chips. and we splashed out on a coffee each. the service was top notch and the member of staff we interacted with was very good.
H.
Nice atmosphere. Good location. No loud music drowning out your conversation. A very good selection of drinks.
The food selection was reasonable, expensive, but very good. The staff were very polite and efficient.
G. A.
Nice atmosphere. No overly loud music to drown out good conversation. A very good selection of ales and beers.
The food selection was reasonable and I settled on a pie, mash and peas (priced at £17....); expensive, but very good. The Staff were very polite and efficient. Prices were 'typical of London'.... pricey if you're from 'up North' (like me).
G. o. (.
Loved the atmosphere and service. Very friendly bar staff
F. S.
I recently broke my ankle and was on crutches, staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly by bringing drinks over to our table. Guinness was flowing well compared to other pubs we tried nearby (Guinness drinkers will know why I've said that). Wasn't too busy for the time we arrived there (around 9pm on a Fri) and the atmosphere was nice.
B. M.
Great place for a delicious meal right off the square. Booking a table online is easy and the staff are helpful.
D. L.
A wonderful pub with great Sea and Naval artefacts. Lovely welcoming staff.
I was invited to the basement part of the pub for a James Bond related event. Derek Lyons ( OCTOPUSSY, A VIEW TO A KILL, THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS AND GOLDENEYE) 'SHAKEN NOT STIRRED'.
This was with Terence Mountain ( OHMSS, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER) and the wonderful Maddy Smith ( LIVE AND LET DIE).
Matt and Nick hired the area for a few hours.

Had good memories of that place, as we've visited it in 2016. Unfortunately, this time the place was extremely noisy, and they didn't have the tasting menu. Pie was somewhat disappointing too.
T. G.
Probably my favourite place in central London to sit, to enjoy a pint and to watch the world go by. We visited The Admiralty regularly when we lived in London and we now like to pop in, for old time's sake, and to relax and to simply sit and watch the world go by.
Last week we sat and watched the Scottish fans, in town for their group game against England, with all their hopes and dreams, and this week we watched a few of the returning tourists of which we are now, as they took their photos. It's busy but a great place to sit. We didn't eat a meal on this occasion, just a few chips to fill the gap before dinner later in the evening.
Track and trace is a must of course and ordering is via either scanning the QR code on the table or via the app. All very easy 🍺 🍷🥂

One of the waiters whom served me some times didnt smile or show any kind of happiness, he seemed like he hated his job, I tried to smile and say thanks and be polite, but got nothing back. In addition, the team here should perhaps learn more about the food so they can explain what they're serving. The bartender did a great job with a smile! And the three stars was definitely also because the food was really good! Thanks
M. R.
Met here for some drinks. Absolutely stunning venue. Polite staff too.
V.
Amazing atmosphere, good service, you can even order at the table through your phone ! The food was super tasty as well, you get amazing pies and my secret tipp: their ice cream! The best one ive ever had in a pub, definitely try it !
G. M.
We visited the pub for a nice lunch (amazing quality btw!) and we’ve been served by this amazing curly waitress called Sara! Never have I ever experience such great customer service. Sara was always available whenever we needed something, greeted us with a very warm welcome and was very knowledgeable about the pub’s menu, allergens etc. She suggested some items on the menu and we weren’t not disappointed! Definitely one of those rare people who go out of their way to provide customers a great and very enjoyable visit. Also, I was really impressed with her organisational skills, but I guess she’s part of management.
Amazing food anyway, prices are up to standard and atmosphere is very warm.
Will definitely be back!
C. G.
Lovely friendly and helpful staff in a quaintly decorated pub.
C. M.
Had a great experience. Service was spot on, food very tasty. My friend and I had a burger, steak pie and squid. Very friendly and lively place to hang out after the working day. Their customer service is very attentive and made sure every customer will leave the place satisfied. Definitely recommend especially if you are around Trafalgar Square and to experience an authentic British pie and pub atmosphere.
F. S.
Great place to visit on this time of the year.🌟
And let me tell you a bit of history of this iconic place.Trafalgar Square is named after Britain's victory in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Although Britain won, war hero Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson was killed during the battle on his ship, HMS Victory. Nelson's contribution was remembered with Nelson's Column, a key feature of the square, built to memorialise Lord Horatio Nelson's victory against Napoleon's navy at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. A large monument to Lord Nelson, who won the battle of Trafalgar, stands in the centre of the square.

Just dropped into the Admiralty by chance, what a little gem. The food is very good well priced with a good selection of beers and spirits
Very clean, well up on latest COVID-19 regulations
The staff are very good well done to you all
C. R.
10/10 would recommend. I have Celiac (ie no gluten/wheat) and the team went above and beyond to make me gluten free fish and chips. Great environment and friendly atmosphere
J. C.
Nice atmosphere good selection of drinks. A random stop off for us and it was a nice place to be. We were served very quickly. Great atmosphere We found a bank card outside and they refused to hold it. We thought it would have been good just in case someone asked the bar for it. I understand it but it just wasn't a polite response.
p. d.
Great beer selection.
Although I didn't eat here. The food looked great. Most tables reserved for lunch.
J. S.
Attended with a large group on Remembrance Sunday; the staff were kept very busy but maintained an amazing level of patience and courtesy. The food was exceptional and the range available was also very good. Many of us ready for a beer at the same time, enjoyed either the lovely range of Ales or wines. Thank you 'The Admiralty'
S. K.
One of London's best pub. Beautifully decorated, very social seating with different levels to explore. Food and drink was great, their own brews were nice.
B. T.
Super cool bar and area with amazing food and the Tasting Board was such a good deal! Super cool atmosphere and the food tastes amazing. My favorite was the Steak and London Pie. The brown gravy is the best I've ever had. Make a reservation. Clean restaurant. Downstairs there's no table service and you order at the bar. Friendly staff and cool decor inside.
L. L.
Funny enough, this was the first time that I have been to this pub. I always thought Te Admiralty would be very tourist, busy, not nice place to grab a drink, and I was completely WRONG. The pub is absolutely stunning inside, very nice deco with many old paintings and 2 large chandelier at the middle of pub, creating a very elegant and enjoyable place to be. On ground floor you will see high cocktail tables and dinning space, but they also have a mezzanine floor with a great view to Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery and Buckingham Palace gates, you feel special having a drink looking at these directions lol.
Well I would 100% recommend to check out place, the service is brilliant and it is really enjoyable.
D. R.
Took awhile to get a seat, as was only stopping for a drink. It was absolutely rammed, but it's Christmas and people are out shopping and want somewhere to sit down. Advice if you go, once you've got a seat stay there!! Lovely Christmas decorations too
E. I. G. O.
The best #nfl atmosphere in london. Kitchen should be open for a little more 21:30 feels too early.
D. P. L.
Excellent value for money and possibly the best steak & ale pie I've ever had, I'll definitely be returning when I'm back in London
J. T. C.
Stylish pub with a nice ambiance, good variety of beers and friendly staff. The prices are accordingly to the location - a little bit touristic as you have Trafalgar Square across the street - so they are a little higher than usual. Try some of the pies!!! Amazing place for a quick stop during a tour in Central London.
T. M.
Nice pub and location.
Staff a bit rude around reservations - surly staff kicked us off table 20+ mins before!
Good beer
D. D.
Great pub in Trafalger Square with fantastic food and atmosphere
G. M.
Fantastic experience at The Admiralty. Very friendly service, tasty food, great atmosphere and clean.
E. Z.
I like the pub, a truly London pub but I have ordered a set of 3 different pies but just got 2 flavours since they are out of 1 and no one informed me before I l’ve ordered. Unfair
C. A.
Popped in on a Friday night, it's a pub in London, what else can I say.
It is a random mix or random people, there's some decent security so you can feel reasonably safe, but still wouldn't leave my belongings unattended.
Simply I would say this place is good for a quick stop off beer or drink (don't expect any cocktails).
Didn't try the food so cannot comment on that.
Interior is reallt nice though, but inwill say on a busy night be prepared to stand as there was so many people it was a struggle to get a seat.
J. B. (.
Great food and environment. When I went they had a live band playing.
A. M.
Pretty busy on a mid-week evening in December but it's huge and can absorb it. We had a small private space reserved and some spectacular food, esp pies! Bar staff were fun and quick - all you can ask.
H. W.
Superb pub. Great drinks selection and good was really good, served piping hot and delicious. Highly recommend.
d. c.
This pub offers a spacious yet cosy feel and serves up a delicious feast of ale and pies. My personal favourite is the Steak and Fuller pie with a side of mash. The restaurant menu also offers a tasting board of 3 ales and 3 mini-pies so you can really try out a bit of everything. Visitors should also definitely check out the bathrooms located on the lower floor. It feels like you're on a ship with an intricate maze of doors and narrow passageways.
C. O.
We stopped here randomly on our London adventures for a drink and ended up ordering food as the menu looked great, very happy we did as the food was lovely! Really didn't expect such a lovely warm welcome in the middle of a major tourist area but we couldn't have chosen a better place.
A. H.
Was a great atmosphere. The food options seemed quite limited but that might just be because they were so busy. An app you could use to order food and drink worked well and service was swift
T. T.
Really noisy but that was down to the amount of people crammed in, still getting used to post Covid outings. Booked it for food as it was pub grub next to out hotel near Trafalgar Square. Great selection of beers and ales. Discovered a new Fullers bottled beer. New to me anyway. Food was really great. Staff were great considering we were running late and almost missed kitchen closing.
Y. A. G.
Great place but always serve too much mixer with spirits.
Last time was there ended up with a G&T served in a pint glass. Would have needed way more than a double to taste the gin in it
A. G.
In the Hart of Trafalgar Square, this is appropriately for Fuller's a 'flagship' Public House.
A very clean and well preserved place inside and out. The food is good.
However the service does seem to become a little bit strained when they become busy.
A nice place for those wishing to have a stop gap, between the shopping and site-seeing.
Not bad.
Rating~ Solid*
B.
I love this pub! Food and service was lovely and I like beer as well! Atmosphere is decent. They do live music session at certain times on Sunday. I recommend to visit here on Sunday!
Definitely going back.
C. B.
An entertaining pub right off Trafalgar Square. Prices are on the high side but not unusual for the area. It is central London after all. Mostly an after work crowd but a good atmosphere nonetheless.
p. c.
Busy Fullers pub. A good place to get a decent beer and pub meal in an area where tourist traps abound. Beer always good (if you leave London without drinking a pint of Pride you have missed out - proper British amber ale). Food ok for what it is but the location and beer make this place very worthwhile.
F. G.
Nice fish&chips. Beer was also great 👍
I. D.
Good food and drinks but I’ve ordered the tasting pie sharing but get 2 out of 3 flavors. Not fare for their part since no one told be they are out the last one.
L. B.
Love this place however yesterday the tables were dirty and again there were areas closed off and it was packed with no seats. I didn't see 1 table cleaned in 90 mins of being there....
M. T.
A very special place.....love it every time we visit London.
Great staff.. friendly and helpful.
M. M.
Fantastic find after a great days exploration. Recommend Fullers steak ,ale pie- the awesome dry cider and coconut rice. Really good clean loos. Nostalgic atmosphere .🇬🇧🇬🇧
L. K.
Great pub and beers and staff. Whenever I am in London, Admiralty is not to be missed.
J. V.
Traditional Jack pub. Cavernous basement area, beers, Ale's and plenty of dining space. We'll positioned directly on Trafalgar Square. Ultra busy on Remembrance Sunday!
G.
Great decor gives this pub heaps of character. Friendly staff. A Fuller's pub but with a good range of draft beers (the Gales 'Seafarers' was excellent) plus the usual range of keg beers and ciders. Varied food and wine menu. (Gammon Steak £13.45, Tea & Hop Smoked Haddock & Salmon Fishcake £12.95).
They have a great, undiscovered bar downstairs - can seat more than the ground floor public bar, underneath vaulted ceilings.
Disabled toilet available on ground floor.
Complimentary WiFi.
M. M.
Nice and clean pub situated adjacent to trafalgar square. Beers were decently priced considering the location. Staff was super friendly. Closed down at 11pm on Friday night. Hence the 4 stars. Definitely a keeper
A. S.
I’ve had a really good time here the staff were amazing and wings were the best. Libby’s customer service was amazing thank you so much!
G. A.
I really enjoyed my dinner there. Quick, friendly service & the food was really tasty for a Pub. I can strongly recommend the Chicken 🐔 Burger 🍔!
K. D.
Cute large pub near Trafalgar square. Staff were very friendly and attentive!
f. a.
Omg! This was by far one of the best meals I've had a bit pricey but to be expected, it would have been 5star but a member of staff just took my drink away they didn't even ask if i had finished it. Shame.
M. G.
The service was great, food fresh. This bar is like museum. Just walk downstairs to discover private vaults later decorated as a bar
K. W.
Great pub right opposite trafalgar Square, good atmosphere great selection of food and drink ...great👍
S.
Located right across from Trafalgar Square. Awesome interior over multi levels .
Another visit and still one of my favourite go to pubs whenever I visit London . Really nice mix of beers .
Here we go again. Still awesome.
R. L.
Good place right at the heart of Trafalgar square. Cool and cosy pub with a nice quieter spot downstairs. Expect to pay £6 for a pint. But it's central London. I'd go again
w.
Nice Fullers pub good beer good food, food better than most pub grub had the steak and mushroom pie amazing when you think most of it's brought in pre cooked
L.
Good selection of drinks at standard London price. Can get quite busy but the mobile app is handy for ordering. Staff were polite.
T. K.
Cool place. Fish and chips were good, and the atmosphere was nice. Food came out pretty quickly, also.
S. V.
Just a really nice pub. Will be even better when they open up the downstairs again. Can't wait to see it at Christmas again.
D. J.
They have toilets, they don't charge you to use them. 5 stars for giving you basic human rights unlike the government. We bought a drink to celebrate our success 🙌
E. M.
A tourist hot-spot only a stones throw from Trafalgar Square. Great selection of beer 🍺 and plenty of seating space. Staff were rude and incompetent though! Might go back, only if I was desperate for a cold pint.
Y. R.
Great atmosphere, this is a busy pub with an additional underground bar. It was conveniently located next to our hotel in Trafalgar Square. Fish and chips were amazing service was excellent.
M. R.
There should be the chance to post a 4.5. The service was excellent and friendly, they accommodated us short notice while having a large rservation to manage. My wife's fish and chips were excellent, but I was a little disappointed with the pie and beer sampler. Two of the beers tasted off, maybe bad kegs, I don't know, but the London Pride and ESB just weren't "right." Especially as drafts. The mushroom pie was excellent, the steak pie very good, and the Tikka masala pie is really more of a novelty. It's good, but not as good as the others and I don't think I would want it as a full serving. Really, the place is not far from a 5 star if the beer was an anomaly. I'll go again to confirm if I get the chance.
D. G.
Very nice pub by Trafalgar Square. Friendly staff with good customer service. Nice surroundings and a good range of lagers. The Asahi was great!
A. H.
Lovely decor and friendly staff! The food was delicious! Lots of notices on events and deals they have on different days!
Very clean and they have power sockets at the tables which is handy!
Perfectly placed in Trafalgar Square!!
M. H.
This place is in front of Trafalgar Square, It has outside seating. Very helpful staff. I went there with my friend and had Sunday Roast which was massive and quite tasty.
S. T.
Awesome nautical themed pub located in the very heart of London, Trafalgar square. The three bride pie with goose, pheasant and duck was absolutely delicious!!
D. F.
Delicious traditional Sunday roast dinner with all the veg and even a Yorkshire pudding. Friendly service and cold beers and ales.
C. K.
Fantastic bar, on the doorstep of Trafalgar Square.
S. O.
Excellent pub for a bite and a nice beer. Amazing deco.
If you are looking for a British pub. This is the one!
S. K.
Great pub. Plenty of space to sit despite location. We'll looked after beer.
J. S.
We often call into The Admiralty when we visit this part of town.
The service is usually pretty good and the ambiance is typically good.
It is split over a couple of levels both of which are fine for us. We've also eaten here and it has been good.
No complaints, keep it up guys...
-.
Great pub, didn't expect so many of them in London to be essentially theme bars for various American football teams but it was a welcome taste of home. The design of the place is super cool. Like an old ship.
A. A.
The Admiralty is an excellent spot where to enjoy a pint or a great dining experience. Service was fast, efficient and corteous. Food was very apetizing and complimented by a selection of beers. Would definitely recommend.
M. R.
Great pub and awesome pint of London Pride, visited from Canada and asked if I could purchase a Fullers glass as a souvenir, the bar staff kindly gave me one for no charge, on our list to visit again next time in London !!
S. M. S.
Interesting looking pub made to look like a ship. However, the food wasn’t great. Dad had a roast which was cold. I had the three pie and pints- the pies were nice, ale less so. Didn’t match.
Service was London international - basic English but happy enough to help.
A. R.
Nice busy atmosphere loads of tourists sheltering from the British weather when I visited. Took a while to get served but was fairly busy. Didn't eat but the food looked ok. There was a poo ON the toilet seat which stopped me staying for too long.
C. W.
Lovely spot with really good quality food, went for there 3 pies and 3 taster beers. The beers are only samples so if your not mad about them your not missing out on too much.
Thought it was a little steep, but when you consider where you are location wise!!!!!
M. M.
Great beer, fabulous location but food distinctly average and no sauces or condiments offered when food banged down in front of us. Tasted ok but can't really go wrong with a sandwich and chips.
M. D.
Conveniently located directly off Trafalgar Square, the Admiralty makes for a good place to have a quick pint, or even pick up a quick meal. The place is rather larger with three floors of seating. Prices are rather expensive, but given the location that is to be expected. While the interior decor is clean and enjoyable, this is not an "old" British pub by any means, and has clearly manufactured to suit the area, That being said, it does its job.
d. h.
Brilliant pub...Great atmosphere..food good..staff excellent 👏 👌 👍
M. S.
Always a wonderful meal! Every time we make the hop over for the weekend we make a stop here. Tried the Sunday Roast this trip and it did not disappoint.
C. R.
Sat at best table in the pub, right on the bar side. Not surprising quick and attentive service even though bar staff busy. Good selection of local beers
D. R.
Excellent pub with beautiful old decor in a nice setting.
P. H.
Actually, I ordered a scrambled egg. But egg Benedict was good. Nice English breakfast.
H. S.
Fantastic pub with friendly management.
Very fast service and good value, large comfortable booths and not crowded/noisy Friday early evening.
No medical interrogation and respected our privacy.
J. M. A.
Good pub with proper pies and good selection of Ales. Visited with a large group, and the only real issue was the heat on the second floor, and closing a bit early :) but it was Sunday.
R. L.
Alright. Always very busy when I visit which impacts on service, speed etc. Expensive for a pint but not surprising for central London.
P. T.
Awesome place. The pies were delicious and the beers too. The people were very nice.
P. H.
Good food great atmosphere.
Had a good night reasonable price.
P. S.
Excellent fishy pie but chips looked as though they had yesterday's leftovers mixed in and veg were rather school dinner-ish. Lovely, helpful waitress.
U.
A very nice pub - serve very nice Fish and chips along with amazing Crispy Squid with chilli and lime seasoning. Just like any regular pub they sell everything needed. Enjoyed my time here.
L. F.
Great location and nice food that arrived quickly. Staff were polite and efficient
B. L.
Try the mini pies and mash, great bar snacks!
E. S.
Comfortable warm cosy pub, sat on the lower floor called the gun deck. Friendly staff and helpful. We had a bite to eat and ordered the three pies. I thought initially the price was high for pies, but gave it a go. The pies where mini pies chicken Tikka, mushroom and what I thought was steak and ale pie. When the food arrived I was pleasantly surprised, that the steak and ale pie was steak pie plus literally ale, 3 no. 1/3 pints of different ales to go with the pies, mash and gravy. As mentioned I thought the price was on the high side, not realizing it included equivalent of 1 pint of beer, this made the meal a very reasonable price, especially as I was just about to purchase a pint.
We spent an enjoyable time in there, not really wanting to move on, but when in London, there is so much to see and do.
B. A.
Good food and beer in the center of London.
Good menu selection. Order at the bar if setting downstairs. Upstairs has table service.
M. G.
Very good atmosphere to meet with friends, Good food, good beer. Take a friend it's a must..
I. S.
Lovely place and very friendly staff, great place for Lunch or Dinner treat..
M. T.
No complaints about Beauty Bar...Clean restrooms and very professional staff. I loved this place so I will definitely stay there again!!
R. B.
Staff were friendly and welcoming..... the other half wasn't too happy about the pint I knocked over all over her.... I did get a refill for free though xx
C. E.
Good central location serving a mix of drinks
S. K.
Love this place. Great food and atmosphere. Right in the middle of London
A. B.
Sunday roast in a traditional English pub right on Trafalgar Square. Very reasonable prices and the live entertainer was top shelf too.
J. B.
Only stopped in for a drink, however, was a nice atmosphere and there were a lot of ales on tap. If I hadn't been driving, would definitely have stopped to try them all
M. H.
Really enjoyed the chicken and ham pie.
P. R.
Historical pub. Beautiful atmosphere it reminds the decks of a ship.
Great beer and a fantastic view on Trafalgar Square
N. S.
Great Fuller's pub, refurbished in the last few years in a nautical theme. If you are new in beer try the Sierra Nevada. I would recommend the stake and ale pie, although all dishes, particularly pies are consistently good. Easy to book.
R. C.
Nice food but a very noisy pub.
G. T.
Didn’t actually eat or drink here but had a good experience with the friendly staff so wanted to recognise this with a positive review 🙂
J. B.
Always a pleasure at the captains table. Great surroundings good service tasty food. Good selection of real ales beer and lager. Extensive Gin Rum and Whisky selection. Covid safe and a great atmosphere
A. V.
What an impressive establishment, Trafalgar as the backdrop, the architecture is detailed and very impressive. Didn’t try anything, no time, for sure next time I’m in London.
N. B.
Lovely building with wonderful decor but typical expensive London pints
A. L.
Lovely pub with brilliant service from Ernesto! Will be back
H. B.
Great service and excellent food
E.
Another rest pub in the heart of the city. Alway a great experience.
A. K.
Great pub with great ale. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We also had fish and chips which was very tasty. The prices of ale around £5.
B. Z.
Great honey pie , very nice looking pub
B. R.
Brilliant atmosphere, food was great, just what we needed after a hard days sightseeing
C. L.
One of my favourite bar in London! The service and pies there are absolutely enjoyable!

Opulent surroundings - and great for a catch up after a cinema trip in Picadilly
G. K.
Had nowhere else to go but I was pleasantly surprised. Fish and chips here is great and the beers are good too. Nice atmosphere and the decorations are super!
T. A.
Nice location, nice staff and great selection of beer. But if you are going to order food, then it gonna be expensive
E. R.
A lovely local pub. Friendly staff and a great location to watch the world ho by. Everyone is welcome.
R. T.
Lovely pub, friendly staff and normal pricing !
T.
The pies are fantastic, the space is good and the beers are very good
K. M. Z.
Great beer selection for a tourist. I enjoyed the beer & the meat pie.
M. M.
Great fish and chips, very helpful and courteous staff in a great location.
J. B.
Great service, great food and decent price. We had a small issue with food and staff were 100% attentative and dealt with the issue incredibly. Would come back! Perfect location.
A. A.
Service was excellent with multiple servers checking on me. Loved the fish pie! Will definitely visit again when I am in London.
G. H.
Beautiful location, friendly staff and a nice selection of beers.
N. H.
Decent pub right by Trafalgar Square , good range of Fullers, and others, drinks, busy and popular. Camden, Wild Beer among the guest ales on offer.
M. L.
Busy but not uncomfortable - excellent London Pride - worth visiting when in vicinity
B. H.
Went to a Raiders American football pre- game party, so not sure how it is normally, but good selection of beers and a nice upstairs dining area. And right across from Trafalgar square.
p.
Good pub. Great location. Attentive staff. Right next to Trafalgar Square.
A. W.
Bit too noisy, but good choice of beers.
J. F.
Large Fuller's pub with good selection of beers and food. A great ship themed place to go.
T. _.
Nice place with average "centre of London" prices and menus. The interior design was very cool and old-timey. Especially the basement.
A. C.
This establishment had a good selection of booze but I found myself having to shout over the din and couldn't actually hear myself think.
P. M.
Always enjoy food, unfortunately we were a bit cramped in.
r.
Ale well taken care of, clean and decent pub food.
A. B.
A really nice pub across 3 levels on Trafalgar Square. Famous for it's pies but a great menu all round. Nice specials for the 6nations 🏉😁
T. &. M. M. M.
Good food and ale, English style. the avg meal cost around £12-15 or more pending on what u get. The tasting board was delicious and costed £20
A. S.
Typical busy overpriced London pub , lovely helpful staff however that are patient and curtious despite the mass of tourists visiting Nelson.
N. L.
Not bad little place. Decent beer
D. S.
Nice pub/restaurant carrying some great ales. The pies we're quite tasty. Location is great!
E. P.
A really nice pub, with gorgeous interiors. It has three floors, a raised level from the ground floor, as well as a very cool underground section too. It has the usual selection of beers, but the chips are very good, which is super important in my opinion. The staff were really friendly, even on a busy Friday night. I was actually quite surprised to find a pub this nice so close to Trafalgar Square, a tourist hotspot, but there you go!
J. G.
Not a bad pub in a good place for the westend.
M. W.
Excellent service - great choice of beers - choice of sit down lunch menu very good and perfectly presented
D. D.
Used for private event downstairs, staff were wonderful and looked after us really well. Food provided was amazing.
A. B.
Good pub for drinks and diner. Nice location.
P. A.
A very good pub to eat and have a good time with friends
M.
The food was very delicious. Service was. Live music was a grand touch.
D. C.
Excellent fish & chips 🍟!
S. W.
Yum!! We had lunch, the Steak and Ale meat pie and a Coronation chicken sandwich.
a. c.
Nice traditional British pub in Trafalgar Square. Great pies and beer.
E. S.
Amazing fish and chips. Location is great.. Unfortunately for craft beer drinker the beers can be a little bland.
B. C.
Fantastic time in here with a few friends, all the staff very friendly and easy going, good prices and a very relaxed atmosphere, will definitely visit again next time I'm in London.
T. B.
Excellent service, nice setting inside for food and sat outside for drinks afterwards
A. E.
Food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful
M. L.
Great pubs with numerous spaces and great selection of beers.
J. W.
Great service, lovely food and reasonably priced
M. T.
My second time in two weeks at this beautiful Fullers pub. Fantastic atmosphere and very friendly. On three floors, the pub has a lovely restaurant. Our table was on the balcony overlooking the bar. The food was excellent as was the service. The pub is very historical and has a naval theme, living up to it's name. Reasonably priced considering it's ideal location adjacent to Trafalgar Square. One of my favourite pubs!
P. W.
Gorgeous pub. Didn't have food but friendly staff. Covid rules being carried out
P. D.
Perfect place to eat food very very nice service .
T. B.
Amazing pies and drinks but waitresses can be a bit more attentive
C. A.
Good prices Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
A. Z.
I went to the Admiralty in the early afternoon on Sunday, before going to the National Gallery. I had a very good experience starting from exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff finishing with delicious traditional roast turkey. And the location. Oh... right in the Trafalgar Square.
A. P.
You will love this restaurant /pub. The pie and traditional dishes are great.
E.
Great place. Good beer. Recommended
K. G.
Went here for our Christmas party, the staff were great and really looked after us. The food was average and didnt feel warm enough however The turkey was very tasty and the wine was reasonably priced.
The pub was very busy but we never felt rushed. Overall I still enjoyed it and would return to see what their normal gastro food is like.
C. K.
Nice pub, fantastic location with friendly staff
A. T.
Very nice pub with a wide choice of ale and tasty food.
J. B.
We had a fantastic experience and meal on Monday, so we returned on Tuesday. On Tuesday I was using my powered wheelchair and could not get table service because I had to be seated downstairs. I initially left a very negative review.
I'm satisfied that the general manager is trying to address the issue. But until it is be aware that if you're disabled and can't go upstairs, you won't get table service.
R. S.
Cool place, needed a fish & chips fix and this place did it for me 😁
s. M.
Nice pub, ideal location, cool and airy on a hot day, which is ideal! Pricey tho!
D. C.
Decent pub on the corner of trafalgar Square. It has a seating area outside and large downstairs area with an upstairs area that overlooks it. I believe there is a room downstairs which didnt seem open when I was there. You must wear a mask when walking around but can take it off when sat down. The app you use to order is really easy to use, they had a decent range of whisky which was good. We did order a guiness which didnt come in a guiness glass so couldnt play guiness golf which was a shame... Other than that its pretty good pub which is closely situated to st james park, downing street and walking distance from the river thames. Staff were also proper sound.
S. S.
A typical Fuller's ale and pie pub. High vaulted ceilings, lots of dark wood and the kind of welcoming old fashioned ambience that you would expect. Wide range of Fuller's beers on tap plus bottled. Our party had hired the function room upstairs for dinner, the menu was pies plus another seasonal one with staples such as fish and chips . The room was well furnished with an extensive range of nautically themed pictures and a large dining table that comfortably seats sixteen.
The room also benefits from it's own WC. The service was friendly and efficient, with both drinks and food arriving promptly. All in all an excellent experience.
P. R.
Lovely pub. Good location
P. S.
Really good food. Pies are fantastic and the tacos were surprisingly good for a central London pub. Although it's in one of the busiest places in Britain they have got some nice quiet booths downstairs to hide away in.
a. s.
Nice pint. Freindly staff
M. R.
We stopped for Lunch at this typical British pub while taking a walking tour of London. The place has a great vibe with very friendly staff. The Steak and Fuller's London Pride pie is the best meat pie I've ever had. Highly recommend this place.
C. G.
Good beer and great staff, good pit stop before or after a walk through St. James Park.
J. Y.
Given the location I assumed this would be an expensive establishment but that wasn't the case excellent meal good selection of beers at reasonable prices will definitely visit again and would recommend
M. S.
Great range of ales. Friendly staff.
D. K.
Lovely Fullers pub with a great choice of beers. It would be five starts if it wasn't so packed all the time but given the location one can't really expect more. If you are in the area and is before six pm, do pop in for a lovely pint of ESB or Pride.
l. R.
Very good and tasty, the portion is just for one. And the inside looks like a old ship.
P. P.
Very noisy place with a great range of beers, largers and ales however, the food is inconsistent so I will not be going back. It is right opposite Trafalgar Square and behind it is St James' Park so for tourists this really is a good place to visit. If you are not claustrophobic there is a substantial seating area in a somewhat atmospheric basement.
A. W.
A spectacular and interesting historical pub on three floors of the Old Admiralty Building on Whitehall, with a seafaring flavour.
A warm welcome and fresh delicious pint awaited me here. It's very tidy, and many of the decorative features are based on ships. Great atmosphere and no loud music. Bags and bags of seating over three floors that are worth exploring for their character.
There is a refreshingly British feel to the place.
S. O.
Lovely and fantastic staff 👏Lovely cold scoops and wine 🍷😀🍺🍺🍺10/10
s. h.
A really busy, bustling pub with a great atmosphere. The friendly staff worked hard to make sure everyone was served as quickly as possible. Definitely worth another visit!! Great selection of beers.
W. D.
Really unexpectedly nice pub right off Trafalgar Square. Staff, drinks and food are all great. It isn't cheap, but it's right off Trafalgar Square...
J. D.
Neat bar, especially downstairs! Pretty good beer selection. Didn't get to sample food.
M. T.
Very cool pub in the earth of London. I've passed by it for years, but I've never really been inside because I thought it was too posh, but it's actually quite cozy and the prices are quite affordable. Would definitely go back soon! One minor comment is that maybe word of warning would be appreciated by the customers before you ring the bell!
D. H.
Loved the food & had a great atmosphere.
I. C.
My husband and I had a lovely meal on our day in London
B.
Good service - a bit pricey but then it's right on Trafalgar Square
M. H.
Okay, a tourist trap, right? Nope, you’d be wrong. We ducked into the Admiralty while touring Trafalgar Square looking for a quick bite to eat. It turned out to beat our expectations by a long shot. The atmosphere is old-school grand, with nautical paintings and great wooden beams. Rich finishes and comfortable booths and table options.
We both enjoyed our food. I had a sandwich and chips (fries) while my wife tried a flight a meat pies. The food was good and the prices surprisingly reasonable. The beer was great too.
J. R.
Friendly staff. Tasty food. Fun location.
B. H.
We stumbled upon this place while looking for food in Trafalgar square and we loved it. It's a nice place to hang out! We ended up eating downstairs. It's a great atmosphere for groups to get drinks. Had the meat pie sampler and it was really good! I would love to come back!
J. H.
Really nice atmosphere in the main room. Very roomy and comfortable. Good selection of beers, including Fuller's ESB. Food is decent pub grub. Not as touristy as we we expected given its location. Overall a nice respite in the middle of a long afternoon walk through Central London.
C. D.
If you are going there to eat, just know it's unnecessarily expensive. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, the staff is friendly. The food is fine, but quite expensive. My Pepsi may as well have been in a shot glass it was so small 😕 Nonetheless, if you're looking for a great atmosphere to enjoy a drink, this is a great choice. (P.s. On the ground floor, to order, walk up to the bar, and they'll take it from there). Also, they have nice, clean restrooms, a bonus!
S. C.
Good food nice location lovely staff
L. B.
Very good Food, service and knowledge by the waiter Adam, brilliant!
T. G.
4.5 stars easy. Great Fuller beers, fun Sip Smith drinks, good game pie. Great atmosphere. Vegetables and gravy weren’t warm, otherwise would be a solid 5 stars. Service was fine and friendly.
P. D.
Great staff and selection of drinks. Also celebrities hang out there. (Anne-Marie)
K. B.
Friendly staff. Reasonable prices food was good....got stuffed.
S. M.
Class so friendly on our recent visit and electric boogaloo on tap happy days
M.
A great decor in a great location. Staff very friendly. Went there a few times over the years. Never disappointed. The food is good and very reasonably priced ( between 10 and 15 pounds for a traditional pub meal and the portions are usually big), so are the drinks - and they have plenty on draught to choose from. It can get quite busy with tourists given the location but the staff always manage to find you a table on one of the three floors if you want to eat.
S. J.
Really great service, food and helping me w/ my 2 year old during a crazy busy NFL game. Really cannot speak more highly of this place. 6 stars all around. Recommend the pie and beer sampler!
F. H.
Absolutely delicious venison casserole. Wonderful wooden pub-restaurant. Would highly recommend. The pies looked very tempting and include some more unusual choices than just the standard steak and ale. Next time I will try one of those.
N. M.
Loved the atmosphere in this pub, staff were great and the memorabilia around the place was fitting with the name. Situated right across from Nelson's column you had a view of some stunning statues. While everywhere on the roads around you is chaotic come and enjoy not the cheapest pint but a well deserved and enjoyable one!
C. S.
Very nice Fullers pub. Deceptively large, but plenty of space for our group of 10. Given the location, beer was a very good price - add in the CAMRA discount, it could have been outer London
Food menu looked interesting
S. C.
Authentic theme & decor throughout. Good food, decent variety, reasonable prices adjacent to Trafalgar Square. Lower deck seating recommended for quiet conversation. Waitstaff quite helpful. Will visit again!
M. N. P. A. A.
Very nice pub! The waitress, Milena, who was in charge of my table was extremely nice! Definitely, the place should be proud of having her as a waitress! I definitely recommend the place, nice food and drinks, and if you get lucky of having Milena in charge of your table you will enjoy it even more!
N. S.
Had a delicious pint (Gales HSB) and pie before going to the west end for a show. Service was prompt and portions were good. If in had one complaint is that Fullers (The brewery) have stopped producing many of their best seasonal ales so the choice of beers on tap, whilst large, feels pretty samey.
R. R.
Large, busy pub at the corner of Trafalgar Square. Basement, ground floor and mezzanine seating areas. Decent range of beers. My wife says the wine is good. The food looks good. Can be very busy. Not surprising, given the location
D. P.
My friend recommend this place to me. I visited here at last Sunday and from that day, i love this place. Different kinds of drinks are available at very reasonable price. Service is very good and the staff are very friendly in nature. The interior view of the bar is just outstanding. I will be back.
K. S.
Excellent service food was lovely
K. G.
Good food and great service. Nice dining area and great place for drinks.
G. W.
What a fab pub! Very central location, but booked a table for drinks the day before and they were very helpful. Grand selection of ale, including the best pint of London Pride I've ever had. Would thoroughly recommend.
A. W.
Stopped here for some grub before a gig. Very busy and noisy pub downstairs, but a cosy, homely dining area upstairs. Staff were exceptionally helpful, and the food was brilliant, if you want a good pie and a pint, this was superb. Excellent ales, tasty food, as someone who isn't the biggest fan of green things the cabbage was perfection, the mash was creamy and smooth and the pie was meat-filled and tasty.
K. L.
Not tried the food, yet but does smell good. Decent price on Trafalgar Square for a pub. Polite and friendly bar staff, even if they have had a late night! Usually pop in to have a pint and watch the people go by.
M. T.
Loved this little pub right in the heart of London. Really pleasant helpful staff and great food at reasonable prices. We would definitely go back and recommend this place to others.
C. H.
Classic pub, great atmosphere
D. C.
Nice meal and service and not crowded.
P. R. (.
Pleasant pub, but food and service were awful - very slow, and wrong items eventually brought to table, followed by a kerfuffle over replacing one of them (after which we didn't bother mentioning the other one, life's too short!). None of the food was recommendable. I wouldn't eat here again, but it's a nice place to sit and have a drink. It's also spacious so you can usually get a table.
A. A.
Simply a good pub. Must visit
J. P.
We really like the way Fuller's does IT and IT meaning, we were greeted at the door with a smile, helping us to seating and enlightened us on how everything worked and was even able to meet a brewery representative, on his rounds. We had great food, we're treated very well, had the conversation about the Fuller's Sanctuary was the location with the ice cream. Great job Fuller's and the Admiralty .....
z. t.
Excellent atmosphere, food and beverage veryyy good 🇨🇦🎩🇨🇦
C. B.
Great atmosphere! Eat down stairs because its cooler (or the a/c works better) and its quaint with tile arched ceiling. The food is wonderful, staff is so friendly too. And let's not forget, they have a bathroom!!!!
G. D.
Really good vibe and fabulous ESB!
P. K.
A very lovely place with a good sense of humour. However, because if it's location, it's quite overpriced and even on a random Wednesday afternoon most tables have been reserved. So if you're hoping to sit down for a while and maybe grab something to eat without calling ahead, I'd recommend you try somewhere else.
G. C.
We chose to have a seat for a little refreshments and a small bite to eat after meeting up with some family and friends at nearby Trafalgar Square. It gave us a sieve to sit down a chat for a bit before heading back out to have a look around London. The snacks were of excellent quality and the drinks were good too. Enjoyed the rough brick work visible throughout.
K. R.
Great pub ideally situated in the heart of London. Good meeting spot for tourists and city workers alike. Food served all day. Plenty of space but seating is still at a premium at peak times.
J. N.
Pretty good pub with a wide selection of drink choices. Prices were high, but this was to be expected for London, so not too bad really. Worth a visit if you're in the area
K. A.
Lovely little pub, great selection of beers from Fuller's, including Frontier, ESB, Honey Dew, Guinness, Seafarers and more. Serve food including vegan options and have a lovely hidden away cosy basement. Families present and this place is perfect for a quick pint or sit down with friends. Great location just off St James Park and a stone's throw from China Town. Top pub, great find!
Like this review if it was helpful.
M. N.
Great bar, good selection of different beers
D. O.
Great food on an awesome location.
R. M.
Very nice pub by Trafalgar square. This being central London by a tourist hotspot you pay top money.a pint of the local lager was £5.90. Bars and seating on all three floors so no problem there. Better value close by.the choice is yours.
A. O.
Excellent pub with a classy interior. We visit here very often and recommend the Admiralty to all our friends.Only downside is they dont serve regular coke and only diet options. Otherwise, it's in a prime sightseeing location and the staff are so welcoming.
S. L.
It is unusual to be seated in a city centre pub. Clearly it's busy normally. Three levels served by stairs. I noted a dumb waiter but not a lift. Ales were well kept and well presented. You had to ask for a sample but it is readily supplied. Food is standard pub grub but with some unusual starters - the Chorizo croquettes with alioli dip was very tasty and just enough for a "tapas" or light bite for lunch. Service was efficient and friendly. Prices pretty standard for central London.
a.
Yes! Great pub, super atmosphere, great range of well kept beers. Mix of major brands (eg Pride) and smaller (eg Meantime) but all pouring well. Fullers pub, good ale/pie menu. Nice to have a good atmosphere without being rowdy, yet right by Traf Square. Oh, did i mention the decor theme is like an old Navy ship? Bar staff friendly too - nice one team, thanks for great night out.
J. E.
We always tend to drop in here when in London. Great place for some drinks and food if you're hungry.
R. B.
Interesting Fuller's gastro pub just off Trafalgar Square, London. Drinkers are served on the ground floor, whilst diners are on the first floor. The food is mainly typical pub food such as pies, burgers and fish & chips. The pies come containing meet or mushrooms and the latter is very tasty. For diners the beer selection was a bit limited, but it may be different for drinkers on the ground floor. Diners have some small rooms to use, which are preferable as there is a lot of noise from the drinkers on the ground floor. For diners, booking is strongly recommended.
G. M.
Drinks were nice, service was fine. Place could do with a deep clean however
J. S.
Good pub food. We stopped here with a tour group and the wait staff were able to suggest meals that could be made quickly since we were on a tight schedule, as well as suggesting gluten free options for those who needed it. Would recommend for a tourist pub experience.
N. W.
Great pub, looks great and service is friendly. Great place to come for a drink or two and perhaps a well cooked bar snack. Not great on the main food front especially compared to other London pub offerings and the value given the prices isn't in line with some of the better pubs in the area. Still worth a visit for a drink.
G. O.
Great atmosphere good food and fullers ale. I like this place
E. C.
Very friendly pub in the heart of London's famous west end. With Trafalgar Square as a backdrop it couldn't fet better than this. Great food and drink in a warm and cozy environment. Highly recommended place to rest the feet after pounding the pavements.
S. B.
Get there early and settle in for the night and they take care of service personnel
M. P.
The food is ok but nothing special.
My wife’s steak pie was the size of a taster pie and the pastry was really thick and heavy.
The fish and chips were meh. Good portion of fish but the breading was like something frozen from Sainsbury’s.
The chips aren’t proper triple cooked. They’re frozen generic fries.
The beer selection is your standard Fullers pub selection. Basically Fuller brands with a couple extra.
Overall not worth the premium price you pay for the area.
D. B.
Really nice pub. Just across from Trafalgar square. Outside seating if you enjoy the bustle. We chose inside and the relief from noise is overwhelming. Lovely alcoves that can fit about 6 so works well for a trip i to london. The brunch was simple stylish grub.
R. W.
You'll struggle for a better pub within a 5 - 10 minute walking distance. The decor is great and is very inviting, looks great in the festive season. Drinks get a bit pricey, but then that is normal around here.
J. M.
It's a pub in Central London.
Drunk tourists and exchange students may fall over you.
J. R.
Neat place, interesting drink selection. Space was limited but only because it is popular. Didn't try any of the food though. The decor was all nautical/ British ship themed. All they needed was a bell to ring myself off...
S. B.
A reasonably new pub close to Trafalgar Square with some seating upstairs and quite a bit downstairs, although with limited phone reception. There's also some seating outside, although the road is very busy. There's a range of typical draft and bottle beers and a standard wine selection. It's nothing to bowl you over. The prices are on the high side, which you'd expect of the location. They also serve food: fish and chips, burgers etc. The chips are pretty tasty.
J. B.
Good beer choice if only from Fullers. Cider on tap is OK. But food has space for improvement - pies were nothing special (though sauce very good) and small, fries should have been fried a bit longer to have proper crispiness
Place gets very busy with local office crowd
C. C.
Great pub. Tastefully decorated inside with attentive bar staff and a wide selection of tasty beers. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food, but from the looks of what was being served, it's also to a good standard.
H.
Nice traditional pub
C. W.
The home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the recent Buccaneers home game at Tottenham stadium. The Admiralty was the finest and most enjoyable meal that I had during my time in London. if you have the opportunity to go downstairs, please do so. You will not regret it. I am looking forward to my next trip to London just so I can visit this exciting sports pub.
D. G.
Lovely place to eat and have drinks with friends
S. S.
Nice bar with a decent beer selection. The pies and ales platters are really good. The atmosphere is lively and bright with a cool nautical theme. Stopped in for a few drinks and wasn't disappointed.
S. M.
Our favorite pub in London. The most helpful staff, too. Thank you, guys!
R. K.
Very well maintained. Nice place.
j. c.
Wonderful staff. Gt food. Attentive proffesional and run just how a big pub should be. We go with a big group several times a year and book a private room. Our experience is always outstanding.
K. A.
The food was delicious! Lots of notices on events and deals they have on different days!
Very clean and they have power sockets at the tables which is handy!
W. C.
Great food, great Ambiance, friendly service
P. H.
Nice interior and good selection of drinks. However staff let this place down, at 10:55 they sold me and two friends a full pint and then by 11:05 they were trying to make us leave. When we said why didn't you tell us when we just bought drinks the member of staff refused to answer and continued trying to get us out.
M. S.
Fantastic fish and chips. Great service. Love the ambiance.
T. M.
If you've spent the day in a mad dash to see all the sites and happen to end in Trafalgar Square, do yourself a favour and pop across the street to The Admiralty. Wonderful selection of beer and drinks, and a great menu. Can't go wrong with the Steak & Fullers Pie, and the triple cooked chips, yummO!
C. A.
Asked for well done beef for Sunday roast was served rare. They kindly took it back to cook longer but when it arrived it was still red inside. Such a let down although my boyfriends dinner looked nice.
C. T.
Good, but maybe precooked bar food.
A. R.
Decent food considering this a prime tourist trap location on Trafalgar Square. Doesn't feel very much like a pub downstairs because it is so large and the tables are very spread out leaving a lot of space, and losing the intimate feeling you can get in a neighborhood pub.
P. D.
Great beer, food and service
T. N.
Great place. Got caught in the rain and was it refuge do a couple of his. Glad it was.
b.
Located right on Trafalgar Square, near Nelsons Column. The prices and the interior design is similar to the bars in the area. The theme is based on sailing of course, the upper level, the chandelier and the rest of the decorations make it quite authentic. It has like 15 different kind of beers on tap. The service was good, so it is a good place to have beer in the area.
N. R.
Fabulous ambience. Brilliant service.
S. D.
Nice pub of the Fuller concern. Serve a lot of ales and beers. Both draught and bottle. Food is good. Seems like it comes from a centralised kitchen, however quality is good. Prices are a bit high. Furthermore be advised they have a 12,5% discretionary service charge on top off the bill. Very friendly staff and nice interior
T. O.
City Hash House Harriers love this pub. Central, lots of space, great range of real ale. The staff are friendly and helpful. Jacoba, Vivania and Farancesca thank you for great service and wonderful sense of humour and thanks too to Tash for his generosity.
J. M.
A surprisingly awesome experience with really good food. And we were served by an absolutely lovely served (Anna, polish girl).
You expect most of the places in such a busy square to be subpar but The Admiralty delivered :)
M. M.
A bit overpriced for a neighborhood pub, but great for a touristy spot. I love to bring international travelers here, enjoy some points, and maybe try out the pie platter (beef & beer, chicken tikka, & veggie). Burger is solid too. Near trafalgar, the mall, 10 downing, and all the must hit London sites. Staff is always friendly
H. E.
Very friendly and welcoming with q massive choice of beers
S. A.
Their pies are pretty dope. Also, it is really nice. The place is well taken care of and the men's bathroom was great. The products they use are high quality. Cole and Lewis n case you're curious.
J. S.
Great Fullers beer, good selection of soft drinks, great food all at reasonable prices in excellent location. We had Black Pudding Scotch Egg & calamari starters, Steak & Ale Pie and Black Cab ham, egg & chips as main courses
A. M.
Nautical themed, family friendly place right beside Trafalgar Square. Like any bar in London it gets pretty packed when there's a game on, so be aware of when you're visiting. They make a killer Pimms cocktail, which is a must try drink while in London, it's amazingly refreshing. Think of it as a form of alcoholic punch similar to sangria, but it's a gin based drink. Absolutely delicious, especially on a hot day.
J. W.
Good bar, friendly staff and customers. Great place for a drink and sit down, just of a busy Trafalgar Square. Gives you a moment's rest from the crowds. Food is a good quality, what you'd expect from a pub.
D. C.
A very typical Fullers pub selling good beer and food. This is one of their pie and ale pubs. Nicely furnished with a nautical theme. There's a downstairs bar too but that was closed for a Private party so very busy.
A. B.
Okay
Not the greatest place in the world. But okay for a beer
Really expensive, good table service. However all tables reserved but no one turned up to the table
Mainly for tourists, but still an okay London place to go.
Y. B.
Love thy Guinness, pies, starters, innovative British and international cuisine! Vintage ale sticky toffee pudding with buffalo milk salted caramel icecream is a must: not too sweet, not too sticky, just perfectly satisfying!
A. M.
Stopped here at the end of our guided tour and the energy of the bar was great. Boat themed Nicholsons has a decent selection of beers.
Fantastic live music set as well made for a great evening.
c. i.
Too packed with people even on weekday evenings, one cannot hear another for the noise, it's difficult to have a conversation over a drink. Other than that, the pub has an interesting maze-like layout downstairs, it's clean, nicely decorated.
A. S.
Albannach is probably the best restaurant/bar in the area, but that really isn't saying much. The upstairs was pretty quiet on a Friday night, but the cocktails are decent and the service unobtrusive. I didn't visit but the club downstairs seemed a bit of a contrast to the quiet restaurant area, and I personally don't think it's a combination that works.

Traditional English Pub on Trafalgar Square.
Excellent Fuller cask ales to complement standard English pub fare of pies, fish and chips, and a handful of other offerings. A bit pricey, as is expected in this part of the city, but worth it for the charming reprieve from the busy city street.

This had a Fun and festive atmosphere. We were here for chargers pre game event and it was packed with charger fans from all over the world. We had a great time. The staff was very good and the food was really good as well.

Stopped in for lunch and had the most amazing pie! My brother and cousin both got the fish and chips and said they were delicious as well. Will be back next time I visit London!

Nice location, tasty food. Right on Trafalgar Square, very convenient. Had a tasty ham and cheese sandwich and some refreshing cider. Reasonably priced, especially given the location.

Excellent place to refresh or meeting with freinds. The gun deck bar is cosy and electric at the same time, good service at the bar. Polite well informed staff. I would highly recommend this establishment of you are visiting nearby.

What a stunning venue lovely decor obviously Naval themed. Good hearty pub fare. Have a pint of "Frontier" craft Lager it's brill. Polite attentive staff good pricing for the area.

Staff were great. Beer was great and food was ok. London prices are to be expected and our friends from overseas loved the experience.

Lovely pub. Really lovely lady on the door who had taken a lot of abuse throughout the day, i think she was glad to find us friendly!
C. C.
Great beer, lovely personal, awesome dishes and deserts, just in front of Trafalgar Square, what else do you want? This place is one of the best places I 've ever met and definitively will come back some day.
M. J.
Really cool setting and atmosphere. Unfortunately the service is slow if you sit downstairs. I think our waitress forgot about us a few times.

Nice pub and food however it takes very long for food to arrive (nearly 15 minutes) for an extra portion of chips during which time only 3 dishes came out of the kitchen.
D. S.
The food was great .The staff were really friendly. Felt very comfortable and safe . Will definitely be going back .
M. D.
Great selection of beers and good food menu. The pies are beautiful and not bad value considering it's prime location in Trafalgar square. Excellent service and nice decor. A good traditional pub.

Always a favorite. Great food and a frankly stagering variety of Fullers beer including bottled beer I've never seem them sell elsewhere. Try the London Porter it is simply stunning!
A. M.
For a pub right on Trafalgar Square, it's surprisingly un-touristy. Big with the after work crowd. There's an OK beer selection, especially downstairs, it's clean and spacious, with nice decor.
Pricey, but par for central London.
A. B.
Doable even for the Friday evening before Christmas.... Beer was fine, if only they'd turn down the music a bit, and people would use their brains and NOT make a "cloakroom pile" in the middle of the floor...
R. J.
Iconic pub with good beers and friendly staff.
N. S.
This pub was very busy (the rugby was being televised), but despite the number of people drinking and eating, the service was very efficient. This is a beautiful building and well worth a visit, especially to the gun deck
J. M.
Had a great meal here. I ordered the ale and pie tasting plate and it was delicious. Great spot to relax after a busy day sight seeing in London.

Good choice of drinks and food.
T. P.
Great location. Wonderful atmosphere. Delicious food and beer. And not even that expensive given where it is. In short, one of the best pubs in the world.
E. C.
Wonderful staff who were so keen and friendly, quick service whether it was through the app or in person. Will definitely be back!
C. M.
Great beer. Great pies. 👍🏻
K. M.
Great place. Very very clean.

Decent traditional pub, with a cosy downstairs area. Can be a bit hectic given its extremely central location. Prices are "central London", but not excessively so. Decent food, mostly modern takes on traditional pub grub.
G. Y.
Pub for tourists. Not bad but expensive pints and had a live musician who honestly wasn't very good, the type to play Ed Sheeran covers. I didn't have time to try the food although it smelled good.
D. S.
Good pub in the centre of London. Nice atmopshere, often gets very busy so don’t always be expecting a seat.
People come and go often so you wouldnt have to wait long for a seat.
Give it a try
R. C.
Good food and good beer with a great atmosphere near Trafalgar square. Service was quick and friendly and the food was good for pub food. Went here with my wife and we both enjoyed it!

Good food, great position and efficient service

Many a jovial night has been spent here with work colleagues, imbibing numerous pints and having momentary spirited conversations in the outdoors smoking area (basically the side street), the toilets, the seated area in the front, and the swanky dungeons below. It's not a bad place to meet tourists or other professionals as well. The food is great (please bring back the halloumi), the only issue I have with frequenting this haunt too often is the exorbitant bill one tends to rack up after too many consecutive nights here. But do give it a try if you're in the area!
J. A.
Fantastic location, atmosphere, food and a good selection of beers and wine. Prices are average for London. The live act hit all the right notes in making us feel chilled out of a Sunday.
J. H.
Great introduction to meat pies and minted peas!
S. B.
The food was nice, and it was a cosy place. However, the problem was that I ordered a vegetarian pie, and it was really clear what I ordered and they gave me one with bacon and mushrooms in it. I am vegetarian and I'm allergic to mushrooms so you can imagine I was disappointed. When we told them they did apologise but I don't think they realised how bad it was that they did that. At the end after we told them it was disappointing they were quite rude in their response and argumentative, they did give us a small discount, they took the service charge which is compulsory off and the price of my tea. But personally, I wouldn't have paid the service charge because the service wasn't good. My pie was nice but I think the service as the response from the staff wasn't very good.
R. M.
Nice location, range of beers limited. Very lively, not recommended for quiet seekers. Bar staff not very knowledgeable on beer types provided.
А. Ч.
a nice place. you can take a lot of cool photos
C. C.
Really nice food and even though it was busy you were served. Very fun atmosphere. I enjoyed my lunch
T. C.
Always a great atmosphere when we visit, last night being no exception. Living in Surrey I only get up to London about every four or five weeks, wish the pub was nearer to me
S. C.
Great pub. Perfect stop for me to grab a couple of pints before boarding train to Charing Cross. Staff are really on point and very eager to make your stay most welcome.
N. P.
Fabulous hospitality! Booked a table for 11 people and we were given a private room with it's own toilet! So nice and quiet! Staff are lovely and super helpful.
R. D.
This pub is a bit touristy. But, it is still nice, and the food is quite good. The breakfast is particularly good. Great staff. And wonderful location.
O. O.
Lovely place where to go with friends, with the family, to relax, to drink a nice beer or to eat something simple, in a warm and great cured atmosphere, with friendly staff.
I often go there ro relax, or enjoying a meal.
It is, anyhow, well located, right in front of Trafalgar Square.

Best hotel in London.Stylish.Relaxing.Perfect location.Quality venue.

I love this pub! Here to celebrate Brexit. I have been many times. Beautiful decor. Loving the HMS Victory theme.

What a great atmosphere after the London Winter Run. The food was delicious and the drinks were flowing. Lots of seating downstairs too. I can see a return on the cards in the future!
M. A.
Cracking lunch at The Admiralty. Gets busy. Very popular. Deservedly so.
F. P.
Great pub! Located in one of the best London areas, this pub provide a great service and a wide variety of drinks. A must go.
D. S.
Large and very good pub at trafalgar Square. They do good beers and pies particularly the butternut squash and Stilton pie in my opinion. Would recommend.
Y. Z.
Great pub, lots of room, three floors with decorum for every mood. The food is hearty and well prepared and the beer menu has something for all tastes - and strength!
A. S.
Excellent service, good selection of ale and beers. Good pies, we enjoyed the pie and beer sampler. Nice location
S. d. P.
Took someone to lunch here. Great food, great service but the aircon couldn't cope with thee heat. I'll go back when normal UK temperatures return.
S. H.
Great staff, good location, will be back. My favourite pin in London.
M. E.
A nice Fullers pub, good food and beer. Staff are as with every London pub - seemingly unaware that their job is to serve, instead of giving one the impression that they are gracing their customers with their attention.
R. H.
Lovely view of Trafalgar square. Nice veggie breakfast, though the staff didn't seem to know they table numbers and bought food for various tables.
E. C.
This is not a quiet pub. It's near too many offices and tourist attractions to be so, but it serves decent beer, good food, and the downstairs gives a cosy, intimate feel for chatting eating and having a good time.
G. C.
Fantastic food (pie's) and great choice of beers. Staff friendly and efficient, the only downside is staff walking about waiting for your empty glass, but hey if that's all there is to moan about ignore me 😁
M. O.
Great food and atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. We were on a coach tour and had limited time. The staff were helpful when we told them this.
D. S.
Nice pub, less dingy than most.
N. P.
Food is good and you can enjoy a variety of British classics. It can be difficult to understand how it works in there (order at the bar), but having lunch with a view on Trafalgar square is worth the effort!
b. s.
Well positioned pub on the south side of Trafalgar square. Spacious, comfy, good service, good pub food (I had a pie and chips) and good drinks. Central London prices though.
J. E.
Great atmosphere as one of the fan pubs for an NFL London game. Good bar staff, prices not outrageous for London.
M. B.
The theme is so cool i really enjoyed my visit here and staff really round off the whole experience. the food is great, location excellent and drinks come in a large selection.
S. H.
The atmosphere is great. The pub it's self is beautiful and incredibly central. The food on the other hand was a disaster.. completely bland, miserable and over priced. Avoid!!
