Lovely pub ... the staff just make it... they are cool and kind and pour the best guiness in town. The pub itself is just a one room box really... the decor is tired and the bee quotes are bait... but the staff are amazing.

Called in for a quick pint with a colleague while down in London on business in January 2020. Seemed an okay pub, clean and tidy, but although not very busy at all didn’t get a friendly welcome from the bar maid – simply told they didn’t accept cash. No explanation, no apology, no further comment. The beer was okay, but we chose to sit outside given the lack of staff warmth inside. Based on that one visit alone - I would not recommend and would not call in again if in the area; plenty of other pubs available.

A reasonably good selection of beers. Not much of a selection of cider - only a few bottled varieties. I ordered a burger which was reasonably tasty although a bit weird with three onion rings inside and a giant quarter sliced gherkin on top. The burger itself was unexpectedly crunchy, and definitely over cooked. Could have been better.

A delightful pub, always busy with a great atmosphere. Excellent wines, and wonderful food. Pleasingly, the menu is actually very fairly priced when you consider the importance they clearly put on dining. The chefs are clearly highly talented, and every time I eat there I have a great time.

Friday evening, we'd tried another pub down the road but it was jammers and wouldn't let my friend in with her dog. A very kind patron outside suggested the Beehive as they are dog friendly. Turned out to be an inspired recommendation. Much more relaxed pub, had a wonderful old pub interior feel, comfy seats, relaxed people inside, not the standard beery loud after work crowd, interesting beers on offer, good looking cocktails, and a great looking tapas and dinner menu. Great service from the staff too. This place is a gem, will definitely be back.

Best pub food thus far. I’ve been in the UK for 4 weeks, eating at a pub every other day, and this is the best pub food I’ve had. It was completely empty in the middle of lunch time on a Saturday, so my group of 9 was skeptical. But I have no idea why this place is not packed. Their pasta and risotto of the day was great, and they are accommodating to allergies. It was also reasonably priced.

I went to meet someone in the area who I know for 25 years but we met only twice since 1994. I had a quick look on the map which direction to go but I haven't had a strong idea. I told to myself, let the force direct and take us where we can chat and catch up. Finally fate took us there. It was lunch time 12.30ish. It seemed they have just opened for that day. We were the first customers. We loved the pub interior, furniture's. Waiter was very friendly and polite. There was a very pleasant background jazz music, not loud, perfectly we could talk, absolutely not disturbing. The alacart had various simple dishes, exactly what we wished as both of us had a sumptuous breakfast. Food and drink prices are reasonable. Long story short, we have absolutely enjoyed the place, atmosphere, food and drink which has been spiced with some spiritual power. Figuratively, our meet, topic of our chat and catch up happened at a comfortable "homey" place at the Beehive! Go and enjoy!

Great hidden gem of a pub with a brilliant range of beers. Food selection can be a bit limited, and expensive for what it is. Generally packed with a mix of suited businessmen and couples. But still a fun place to go with a few friends - if there's space!

Any pub that's been opened since the 1800's is doing something right. In this case, a solid beer selection and decent fish and chips. The star of the fish and chips was the mashed peas...which shouldn't be the star...but they were genuinely delicious. The chips were done just right, but the fish had some scales on it which took it down a notch. All in all, this is a traditional British Pub that hasn't been bought out (or hasn't sold out) by the chains Fullers or Greene King, which is an excellent thing and deserves acknowledgement. You won't regret a visit here, but if Fish and Chips is your thing, you might want to check out The Larrick which is a short walk from the Beehive and serves the best fish and chips I've found thus far (and I've had A LOT of fish and chips at British Pubs). Great little hole in the wall pub just off the main drag on Walworth. We ordered the special choose your own combination starter platter. All of the things we tried were great. Tasty and large portions. Just the starters could have been a meal for two to split if they were only moderately hungry. We also got the Barcelona burger with chorizo, red pepper jelly and goat cheese. It was easily a 1/2 lb burger (not sure what the typical metric units are for burger weight). Flavors were on point and mixed well together. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint. Don't expect anything too refined. The wait staff was friendly and helpful with food and beer selections, of which there were a decent amount. Overall, great experience and wouldn't hesitate to go back. It did seem a little pricey, despite the serving sizes, but then again we don't have a good frame of reference having been in London only a couple days.

Don't really understand the negative reviews - we came while it was quiet, Saturday lunch time and the food was excellent. Seafood risotto bursting with flavour and the risotto rice cooked well, not al dente which is a mistake many places make. Gamma Ray and Bibble on keg too which was nice for a fan of pale ales like me!

The second beer was then every time n Paulaner 😂 The menu is also completely sufficient for eating, there are even daily specials, we still opted for fish and chips, but only because it is the last evening in London and we didn't want to leave without having eaten that too. (Original) 3 Tage London, wir sind zwei mal hier gelandet, einmal nur für ein paar Bier später am Abend, das andere mal weil das Restaurant in das wir gehen wollten schon voll war. Wir haben dann hier die letzten Plätze bekommen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Londoner Bier auf der Karte ist in die Kategorie "muss man mal probiert haben" einzuordnen. Das zweite Bier war dann jedes Mal n Paulaner 😂 Zum Essen reicht die Karte auch völlig aus, es gibt sogar Tagesspecials, wir haben uns trotzdem für Fish and Chips entschieden, aber nur weil es der letzte Abend in London ist und wir nicht abreisen wollten ohne auch das einmal gegessen zu haben.
