Reviews of The Bull Streatham
D. M.
Nicely decorated well maintained pub very spacious eating area. It's clean it wasn't to crowded when we went.
Food was well presented and taste good, slightly over price.
Staff are helpful and friendly nice atmosphere. 😊
It had a large beer garden outside very pretty. If you in the area or want a bite to eat pop in it worth it.
I have been here a few times I guess I like it.
Parking on the side street.

lovely relaxed atmosphere for Sunday lunch and the food is fabulous. Really friendly and attentive team made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely one we’re coming back to
H. M.
Great service, very cosy and good Sunday roast. Impressive Yorkshire pudding game! Would recommend they make a genuine gravy with the meat juices and roux rather than instant.
H. R.
Good food, great portion sizes for most dishes, mac n cheese lacked a little flavour, could have done with a second ball of mozzarella in the starters and I think that this place is slightly overpriced. Really nice overall ambience and would love to try the outdoor seating in the summer. We will definitely return.

The staff are friendly and helpful.
There is a good atmosphere inside.
However it needs a refurbishment and new furniture.
Especially all those shabby looking chairs.
The beer garden is for smokers only effectively.
The Sunday Roast is dreadful.
You get a plate filled up with a huge flavourless yorkshire pudding and very little potatoes and veg.
The beef is horrific. Couldn't cut it with the knife, tried chewing it but had to spit it out. Couldn't chew it enough to swallow it. It was all fat and gristle.
The price was higher than most pub Sunday roasts but I wouldn't mind that if it was value for money.
Additionally we were packed in like sardines in a tin.
No covid precautions in this pub!

Service was super efficient, but with ordering through the app, I can’t help but miss the human contact of a waitron. Especially after living the deliveroo life for so long.
Burgers were a bit rarer than the normal pink, so we needed to send them back. The chips were amazing, would definitely swop out the fries for them. Desserts were good, but nothing special.
K. J.
Lucky to have the Bull as our local pub. Warm and friendly staff, food has always been good but seems to have got even better over the last few months. Would love to see more gluten free options on the kids menu e.g. gluten free sausages or pasta
J. F.
This place without doubt is the best pub and restaurant for miles. Staff are great, customers are great, atmosphere is great, food, outside area etc etc .. day or night.. a gem in Streatham! Come and enjoy and relax .. just can't fault it. Cheers guys

Amazing food🙌 amazing staff 🙌 cosy restaurant and great beer garden ⭐️

Excellent food!
Great, and knowledgeable service, from both bar staff and chef.
Comfy seating.
Good selection of drinks

Cycled past this pub for years on my way to work. Glad I came in today. Lovely cozy indoors atmosphere, comfortable heated beer garden. Tasty cod and chips, friendly staff. Will be back.
D. L. P.
Tasty food, fine pint of Guinness, good vintage music in the heated, covered outdoor dining area - a fine way to spend a Friday evening. Would have liked a Bratwurst hot dog but the Burglar Shack was closed ... well you can't have everything.
N. C.
Had a nice time here. Very typical pub grub, so you know what you are getting.
D. D.
Great lay out to this pub, cosy inside and a great seating area outside, with it's own Burger Shack. The outside booths seat about six people, they have heaters to keep you warm when it gets chilly. The only problem I have with this pub is the prices, the burgers aren't cheap, but if you want a premium burger and you want to pay premium prices you will love this pub. As for the other food served, I can't comment as I haven't tried it. If you like this review, can you please click the like symbol below. Thank you!

I do like this place I remember when it was 'an old man's pub' but Within the last 5 years Youbgs have given it a massive face lift whilst keeping a lot of the decorative stained glass and impressive wood work
It's good in the summer....Nice big outdoor booths with an out door bar and burger bar.
We have been here a few times .Food , drink and service are good
Worth a visit
L. D.
Lovely large pub with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Only reason it lost a star is because when it's busy, the food can lack it's usual quality . All in all a great place for any time drinking 🙂
S. R.
Top notch every time. We always go for the roast which is incredible (they stack it so it appears like a mouth-watering mountain before you) but recently I tried the special; Jacobs ladder beef rib, also fantastic. We sat in the restaurant but alfresco, so best of both words really, but floor was a little uneven. Absolute must try if you’re local, but also worth traveling to.

Excellent bar, greatly expanded garden from the last time I was there several years ago. Had Tribute Proper Job which could have been a little bit better. Stick to the Young,'s Ordinary or Special.
L. N.
Great service, staff and food in an unhurried and comfortable environment. It was a real pleasure to see that, they take such pride in what they do. I now understand why, invariably whenever I pass this place, there is a real buzz going on! Will definitely be back😁
N. J.
Good service and great food.

Excellent service, delicious food. Went to the pied bull yesterday for my nephews birthday. Once again excellent service from friendly staff who were so accommodating, they even let us change the music. As per usual the food was excellent. Two of the kids enjoyed their food so much their parents had to order it again for them and they polished it off. Don't know how they managed another food when the portions were so generous. Every plate of food was delicious (I know coz I had to try a bit of everyone's lol). Highly recommended, great for adults and children alike
A. V.
One of the nicest pubs in Streatham with a beautiful beer garden. Decent choice of beverages and the food was really tasty. The staff was nice and friendly and happy to accommodate our wishes. A great place for a dinner or Sunday drinks out in the sun. Definitely will be coming back.
E. G.
Had a lovely roast dinner - the Bull trio, and the service was quite quick, considering it was a busy Sunday afternoon. However the wine, at £10 for a 250ml glass, was seriously overpriced.
C. S. R.
We were 4 people eating. Nice atmosphere, staff were good, but the food was over seasoned, very peppery and some food super salty...couldn't finish it.
B. H.
Very nice, bright, modern 'gastro-pub'. Big place, with plenty of seating, both inside and out in the large outdoor area, including cosy outdoor booths with heaters and/or fireplaces. Still worth booking for busy times though. Good food - most recently we had Sunday lunch - starters (baked camembert, mackerel terrine, fried squid) were excellent. Sunday roast mains were very good - pork crackling was a bit lacking, lamb cuts a little thin - but these are just niggles... very tasty veg and generous portions. Went away happy and full. Service good and food incredibly quick. Price wise not exactly cheap, but pretty standard for similar places in the London suburbs - approx £30 each for starter, main and a drink or two (depending what drinks). Will go again without hesitation.
D. H.
Visited when in area. Always good food and good selection of ales and spirits. Quick service and helpful staff.
C. S.
Suitably impressed - with all the changes to Young's pubs (gentrification), it was an absolute pleasure to be able to buy a pint of Light & Special. The price was less fun ...
N. K.
Great layout and atmosphere, first time here and it won't be the last. Covid service easy and quick and we bagged a booth outside with a fire. Well worth booking if you can.
S. M.
Lovely pub,
Amazing service from super friendly staff
Delicious food and relaxed atmosphere.
Recommend
D. K.
Had a lovely meal staff efficient and friendly but my goodness the drinks are expensive 4 double jack Daniels and coke £44.80 it really has put me
Off going again
M. S.
Great pub, very clean and good seating options. Went for a Sunday roast and can’t fault it. Gluten intolerance friendly. Will be going back
M. A.
Brunch experience was lush! Service was fast and efficient. Excellent place to go whatever the weather!
P. S.
Brilliant beer garden and cute seating area. Staff friendly and quick with orders. Drinks were really good too and food decent. Only issue was the toilets were a bit messy.
D.
Very modern pub nice place for a meal and a drink.
It has a beautiful beer garden for them summer months.

The Bull is incredible and one of my favorite pubs in London. We even had our wedding reception here four years ago. The staff are always so lovely, the food from the pub/the Shack is delicious and it’s always a nice atmosphere there. We were here last night celebrating our anniversary and the lovely hostess (I didn’t catch her name) even offered us a first round of free drinks. Such a nice gesture, I can’t imagine I’d get anywhere else. Would highly recommend The Bull!
P. g.
Super food delicious best!!!!
A. R.
Great service, great food...what more do you need. Well done to the team @The Bull👏
J. L.
Great place to relax around good food and drinks. The place is huge. I had booked a shed with a TV to watch the match and it was great. Service is quick and overall prices are reasonable. The staff is very nice and helpful.
L. M.
Love this place. So comfortable, really relaxing atmosphere. Food is good, staff friendly enough.
C. O.
Went for Sunday lunch with friends - lovely food, but main dining room is quite noisy, plus a few unruly kids running around 😒
h. k.
I really liked the staff. Especially the two male bartenders they were really cute and I want them 🤤🤤🤤
s. m.
Lovely beer courtyard for a sunny afternoon, refreshig drinks and the gourmet burger van is a great touch & delicious food. Only giving 4⭐ because slightly over priced but that's what you expect these days I suppose. Rate the deep fried pickles (there were 4 not 2 as pictured) and pulled pork loaded curly fries (didn't even last long enough to be snapped).
V. R.
A good pub with a massive garden. The ordering app can be a pain in the neck, especially as signal in the area is generally poor- although this is a post-covid19 sort of necessary evil. Food portions are generous. Service is good and staff friendly
T. M.
You can't get much better than The Bull. Food was tasty and served super quick, drinks on point and great service. The terrace is just beautiful and they've put a lot of effort so you can sit outside even in the pouring rain. Only improvement would be to make sure staff don't pull their masks down when talking to customers, it kind of misses the point of wearing them :). Thanks for having us!
v. j.
Staff lovely and do a great job unfortunately the food wasn't as good as usual.
M. D.
A great pub for family meals, birthday drinks with friends or works drinks. Not the best for couples but OK. Great burgers and good Sunday roasts. Beer selection is OK. My second favourite local pub!
a.
Great outdoors area. Accommodated more TVs than usual for the Euros. Food and drink was decent. Quality service from those working during the footy. Thank you and much appreciated.
I. J.
Really Lovely Place. Amazing Food taste. Great service!
M. J.
Excellent service and lovely Staff. Good food, reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere.

Went at lunchtime - great food and really friendly helpful service.
D. T.
The Bull was great food was good drinks are a bit expensive service was very good
L. S.
Very nice Sunday Roast, quite expensive but you get plenty for your money and it's well cooked too. Good selection of beer as well.
G. A.
Nice place, great sunday roast and friendly staff
H. B.
Huge pub with indoor and outdoor bars. Car park next door. Excellent lunch.
M.
Lovely beer garden, great covered areas available for reservation. Good service using the Youngs on Tap app, although it takes a while to set it up. I’d recommend the toilets upstairs as opposed to downstairs. Only four stars and not five as the roast could have been a tiny bit better (rarer beef and better roast potatoes) but portion size was great!
K. க. J.
Great beer garden with loads of booths and alcoves to hideaway in whether summer or winter, and top draw food. Great during Covid distancing measures, and friendly staff with quick order turnaround.
M.
Quite a nice Young's pub. Big garden, nice interior, decent customers. All round ok, I'd go back.
N.
Great food and drinks selection. Beer garden massive. Coffee was terrible but as expected :D
J. B.
Really lovely place, clean amazing staff had a fab night...

Great Pub.
Lovely Food, service perfect.

A fantastic pub close to Streatham Common. Huge beer garden and great burgers. Highly recommended.

Nice pub. Friendly staff. Easy access with public transport 🙂

Very Nice Pub with nice atmosphere.
They got very pretty waitress Dorota 😋
M. J.
Excellent service and lovely Staff. Good food, reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere.
D. W.
Excellent burger and fries. Expensive, but good. Lovely Youngs beer. Comfortable chairs and log fires. These people have got it just right. In summer there are cozy cabins and a burger shack in the garden. We'll done.
s. k.
Very cosy place, nice to stay in and always to come back again!
D.
A lovely pub and plenty of seating inside and out, some outside seating is under a sheltered terrace which is non smoking...fab! Staff were friendly, helpful swift and practising good hygiene. They were also really welcoming to children and pets. The seating is well spread out, and they have organised it extremely well so you can easily have table service if needed. Some items on the menu were not available and unfortunately they didn't confirm my online booking, this could be problematic during Covid restrictions. However they were very accommodating when I arrived. My sausage and mash was delicious, good portion and reasonably priced..2 main courses, a coffee, a wine and a soft drink cost approx £42. A perfect place to catch up with family and friends. Mainly permit parking but served by lots of buses on the high street.
F.
Ordered a burger that was good but way too overpriced. Nice garden though.
M. B.
The Bull has in the past been a great place to stop by for a pint and a bite. But on Friday night I popped in for a quick pint and a bite to eat whilst having a break for some work I was doing. The food prices seem to have gone up - £26 for their only steak, £14.50 for fish and chips, £14 for a burger all seems pretty pricey for a well out of town suburban pub. As a chef I’m generally pro any food that is tasty and good value, I’m. Or picky.
Anyway I chose the fish pie as needed to eat up quick to get back to working - £16. It was inedible. It had a sorry looking overcooked king prawn on top of a pile of cheddar. There wasn’t much sign of fish in the pie, but just loads more cheese. I ate about 1/3 of it and it dawned on me it wasn’t getting any better. Too salty, and it was starting to make me feel sick. I mentioned this to the friendly bar staff who offered me another meal or a free pint, but at that point I was feeling a bit sick and needed to get home to carry on working. Hope they can take a look at their pricing and have a review of this dish and I’d be pleased to head back again. Stars for previous visits, friendly bar staff and location near my house. Good luck The Bull.

i loved it so much that i pooed myself when i first went there. but dont tell please
J. A.
Very nice family pub, with tasty meals
E. S.
Went at lunchtime - great food and really friendly helpful service.
M. M.
We had a farewell party there - nice tasty food in the sunny garden. Great time! Just the music was missing a bit
A. L.
Very nice atmosphere outside in the sun. Looking forward to going again on a sunny weekend. My ciabatta was great.
P. P.
Pub with great service and a very big beer garden! The place is clean and the staff are friendly and polite. Will come again!
D. T.
The Bull was great food was good drinks are a bit expensive service was very good
N. C.
This isn't our local but we enjoy walking here because of the food and drink and being served by friendly staff. We order something different every time and not disappointed.
H. P.
Has a great atmosphere overall, perfect for meeting with friends or family
M. W.
Lovely pub who have done a lot to make sure as much of the outside is covered as possible with plenty of heaters. Food is excellent and staff are always helpful.
A. Y.
Lovely pub& beautiful spacious beer garden.
S. W.
Went on Father’s Day for a family Sunday lunch.
The place was buzzing inside and out (great summer space!) and the overall atmosphere was great. The service was very friendly and efficient. The whole group commented on how nice their roasts were.
Highly recommend for a lazy Sunday lunch 👌
J. M.
My first trip to the Bull and probably the last.
Reasonable food but the prices of the food and drinks are ridiculous! It's just a pub!! I was shocked at the prices.
Wetherspoons have similar food and considerably better prices.
J. C.
Nice space, just super expensive. We had an issue with a drinks order taking 45 mins to arrive but must've been a one off as the rest of our group's came on time. The beer garden is lovely.
D. G.
A lovely Young's pub. Great outdoor spaces with individual cabana style seating areas, many with gas fires and some with tv so you can gather your friends together to watch a match. There's also a burger shack outdoors. Inside, the pub gas a fairly large main seating area, and a larger "family" area the other side of the bar. Great food from inside too. Not the cheapest, but definitely one of the nicest.
J. O.
Fantastic garden great for sitting in nice warm weather You.can get a little box and have some privacy. Shame that is not screen from the busy road. Good food Choice of beers can be improved. Not that cozy inside. But in average positive experience
P. P.
Great pub with a good beer garden. And the pub quizzes have the best themes!
c. t.
Cosy for family lunches and small child/baby friendly with comfortable sofas and a warm fire in winter in the family area, which is not, thankfully, too ghettoed off from the rest of the pub. The food's decent modern style pub fare, a bit on the thick side price wise but nothing too out of the ordinary. The beer is Young's, or Camden. Non alcoholic beer (Heineken 0.0) is nearly a fiver for a 0.33cl bottle, so avoid that. Nice people serving.
J.
Great pub with a variety of spaces and a great outdoor setting. Would recommended.
R. M.
A great big gem of a pub, this establishment has been a leading light in the local area for a while now.
Clean, smart, friendly, with nice drink and food choices. This has been hands down my favourite pub in this area, for a good while now. Whats not like, great sports pub (not just football!) or a bolt hole for a quiet drink with friends and family.
The food is very good and not overly priced, the menu selection is good too with everyone able to find something to enjoy. The menu is changed often and they provide lovely bar food or nibbles too.
The look and feel of the nice outside space, is to be enjoyed. But be warned summer evenings and weekend can become packed, so book a table if you can. Id also recommend booking if your dinning with a group bigger than four, sundays especially as its a good family spot.
Overall a very good location and friendly service. Good not just for families, friends or a evening tipple, but also as enjoyable venu to start or end your day.
Also what's better than a nice warm fire in the winter with a good pint.
E. B.
Nice enough, comfortable and spacious with a good atmosphere but obscenely expensive for what you get. Fosters is over £5 a pint, a Heineken and a bitter shandy was almost £12. While it's nice it's not in a position to be competing with Cocktail bar prices.
V. D. C.
Cosy decor with fire places both indoor and out. Lovely outside that is busy in summer. Good selection of beverages and awesome Sunday roast. They have a burger shack outside in summer. The service is quick and attentive. The only downside is that it is really quite expensive and there are several other equally nice pubs nearby that are cheaper 😕!
a. r.
I love the Bull. The extensive renovations are brilliant. Wonderful restaurant & child & dog friendly. Also the staff are professional.
M. C.
Had a lovely dinner there last night. Cozy place. Angus steak was delicious! Had a real Guinness with my meal. Staff were attentive but not intrusive, polite and helpful. I'll go again BUT please bring back the pork hocks 😁
D. O.
Lovely venue great food and good vibe
L. J.
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here. The food was very tasty, great service. Although they had no available tables inside we sat in one of the booths outside which has a heater and we were very comfortable despite it being January. Would highly recommend.
P. W.
Had another great lunch at The Bull today - food and service were excellent. Harriet was very attentive and efficient- looking forward to going back soon!
C.
Lovely food, staff were very attentive and helpful. Sat outside in the garden area which was very welcoming.
A. W.
Just in from a lovely Sunday lunch. Roast chicken, well-cooked, super tasty. Efficient/friendly service. Really enjoyed it, so will be back. Liked it that there was space between tables, nice vibe to the dining room though not too packed out/noisy (which as we know can often be the case in London). Really like this pub. It's a bit of a local gem. :-)
J. T.
Over all, very good. a little gem of the area. Brilliant service, friendly, professional very proactive staff team with asking how everything is and to remove finished food. Felt welcome and comfortable. Had a starter main and dessert. I'd have to say after seeing the different mains and trying them as I came with a group mostly all the food mains (the ones I tried) tasted brilliant. Unsure as to if they refrigerate some of the food it seemed definitely as if it wasn't frozen and judging by the taste I'd assume most of it all isn't. Either way the food was brilliant. The only unfortunate thing was the desert (Fudge brownie with Ice cream) that felt a little unfresh and wasn't heated to well so it felt like eating a cold fudge brownie with cold ice-cream (Hardly something to loose sleep over though).
The prices look a bit steep but with the portions I'd say it's more than a fair ask for a hearty meal out. Walking around the pub wow! To every extent it's a clean, modern looking place. It looks phenomenal I can't say I saw anything that looked dusty messy or uncleaned. It's dog friendly which is a very nice plus. I can't see any negative things about this pub to be honest.
M. S.
I do love this pub for its ambience and would usually give them 5 for service staff and atmosphere. L However it is an average rating as strongly feel that the menu doesn’t give sufficient options for vegetarians. Had a risotto as dined with my vegetarian mother which was possibly the most bland dish it was depressing. I was told it was vegan and kitchen was great in providing some cheese to help liven the dish. But didn’t work. Just don’t believe the Bull accommodates vegetations very well for hot tasty meals. Which is disappointing. Hence my low rating.
Also I think it would be great if they would ever think of turning the dining room into a tea house during those afternoon hours to help liven up the week days as it was very quiet. I think that would be great hit and open up the Bull to a range of customers. At least the vegetarians could come for cake and tea ;)
r. h.
Previously visited this pub and had a nice time. went back this Sunday for a roast, the meal was to die for, the staff was so accommodating and friendly. Beautiful pub And fantastic open kitchen. Lots of events coming up and hoping to get stuck in at the steak butchery masterclass in a few weeks
T. n.
Amazing pub , great burger shack menu and amazing burgers , excellent service, loved it and i will be back .
C. B.
Not a bad spot for a Sunday roast. The vegetarian option is appreciated. Don't order the orange juice, I saw the machine and the "fresh squeezed" sign but was brought something bubbly from a carton. The best time to come is when the weather is nice, to enjoy the outside area. Super family friendly. A huge improvement over the old Pied Bull.
L. D.
The Bull used to be one of my all time favourite places to go for a Sunday lunch or a sunny summer evening drink. The menu is fantastic, but since making the decision to go vegan I have found that there is nothing there for me any more, which is pretty sad. The one vegan option on the menu, a dairy free cream cheese sandwich on rye was both boring and tasteless in my opinion. When they have more than one option on their menu I will be back again. It's a great pub with great staff and very yummy food for serious meat eaters, sadly just nothing yummy for us vegans.
p.
This is a nice pub in a good location. We reserved an outside area and the staff were very helpful in moving us to a bit which was warmer. They were happy for us to decorate where we were sat (for my friend's birthday) and for us to bring a birthday cake in from outside.
S. P.
Pub and restaurant on London Road, Streatham. Good food and customer service. Open Garden seating facilities available. Good for small or medium size parties. Specially very busy at the weekend evenings. Advance reservation is advisable to avoid embarrassment.
S. C.
Book a pod outside. booking food and drink can be bought by app, makes life easy. Great atmosphere and service.
J. H.
Always enjoy a drink/dinner in the Bulls garden
Friendly staff. Fairly covid secure.
Lovely atmosphere
D. K.
Beautiful pub with gorgeous garden. Stuff is very friendly; food is always warming (not just your body but your souls as well) — great atmosphere, perfect location to gather for a family brunch or evening drinks with your mates.
M. “. K.
Wonderful garden! great place for a quick beer,or a nice long stay with some burger and curly fries. I have seen many children and dogs,so beautiful place to stop by while walking the dogs.
M. W. M.
Lovely afternoon spent at The Bull Great Garden and the staff made us welcome lovely tasty food 🍲 will visit again 👍
A. W.
One of our regular pubs, I may even go so far as to say our local.
The food is great and the drinks good too. I usually go for the burger from the restaurant (i.e. not the burger shack outside), which is fantastic, and whatever Beavertown IPA they have on tap.
They allow dogs which makes it very convenient.
I'm not a huge fan of the n association with burger shack as that is usually really disappointing.
J. D.
Great place and helpful staff. Left behind an item that other places would probably just throw away, but the friendly staff kept it and I managed to get it back before they even opened.
j. e.
Great service, fantastic food. I ordered a burger and temporarily forgot I was pregnant (don't know how) and failed to ask for it to be prepared "well done". I asked the waitress to enquire whether the chef wouldn't mind cooking it a tad longer. He refused and prepared me a fresh one instead! Thoroughly impressed by such great service!
J. C.
It's ok, I have been a few times. Food in the pub is ok, but pricey for what it is and service seemed slow when there were not too many people. The outside Burger Shack has some tasty burgers, but £10 was a bit much for just a burger. Beer selection is decent. The outdoor area is very nice and would be a good place to drink with friends.
N. C.
Recently refurbished. Lovely pub with good food and comfy seats. My favourite thing is they have a burger shack outside with its own separate menu of burger and chips, lots of seating, including cute booths big enough for groups.
M. Z.
The only thing wrong with this pub is the slightly higher price. But overall the decor and beer garden are excellent with plenty of space and friendly staff. Lots of kids on weekend though so if you're a drunken degenerate or hate kids avoid during this time.
K. b.
great pub... outdoor space is perfect for gatherings when the sun is out! food is great burgers from the burger shack are gourmet... only gets 4 stars because it is a a little pricey. I still highly recommend it.
K. M.
We went on a Saturday evening in November and the pub was perfect for the quiet drinks we needed, it's a good space, quick service and friendly staff. We'd been previously in the Summer and it was a lot busier, but for a good pub in the winter I would recommend.
C. H.
We go as a company for work functions & I have been often with my partner & friends. Its cozy with a vrrst atmosphere, lots of outdoor seating in great style & the food is good.
a.
A really nice relaxed pub. A really nice vegetation Sunday roast, and good beers. Big beer garden.
S. G.
Really nice place, great food, lovely helpful staff.
Great lil garden that allows comfortable space for people to have a nice time and still socially distance
J. P.
Beautifully refurbished pub with spacious all weather beer garden. The burgers from the burger shack are great. The roast dinner was average considering the price, with non-crunchy roasties, bland vegetables, gravy and non-crispy skin on the belly pork.
p. c.
Nice pub, great fish and chips we had and good space outside seating area. Used it for fathers funeral recently.. next to streatham common. only gripe was one of the staff seemed a bit put out.
C. M.
Best pub garden in Streatham! Especially when the sun is out. Staff are really nice and the place is very dog friendly. Prices are quite reasonable and love having the burger shack there for a quick meal.
E. T.
First time in Streatham in ages, it's really posh! That aside, The Bull is a pleasant and friendly pub/restaurant. Food is lovely, would love to go back and try all the steaks and burgers! Staff are nice and interactive with the customers. Definitely would go back.
C. C.
Again lovely atmosphere but every Young's pub in this 2 mile radius has the same menu... please mix it up! I love the pubs s nf beer selection but I want a different menu! Every pub Young's pub should offer something different!
A. H.
The Bull has been beautifully renovated and is undoubtedly the best pub for miles around. Fantastic atmosphere there today for the kite festival. Great roast dinners and the burgers from the burger shack looked delicious too. There is no better place to be on a sunny day in Streatham.
C. F.
Great evening, although it was our 2nd option, the atmosphere was brilliant, the staff were fabulous and let my neiece and nephew stay longer as long as they were quiet and we all enjoyed the pub quiz and the food. Only downfall was the toilets. Will definitely be back...my new local although I live 20mins away.
N. v. D.
Welcoming atmosphere with real fires and really friendly staff ...but food incredibly overpriced for the quality. I expect allot from a £12 burger and this definitely doesn't hit the mark. Chips very tired looking, not cooked to order, no crunch. For £12 I expect fresh fries. Clearly had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time. To add bacon for £2.50, I expect a decent serving of bacon. Instead you get a small 1/4 rashion the size of your thumb. Ridiculous!! I'll go back to try something else just to confirm my impression of the menu but I suspect the other items will be just as overpriced so will probably only go for the ales in future.
K. T.
Nice pub opposite the bottom of Streatham Common. Plenty of space and a great beer selection (including Neck Oil on tap, always a winner in my book!). Seems popular with mummies who lunch and there's plenty of space for baby buggies etc.
I've only eaten here once, at lunchtime, and ordered avocado on sourdough toast with a poached egg. Unfortunately the egg was completely hard through, which was a shame as its a fundamental part of such a simple dish (and it's important to get the basics right!). I left the egg, and when our plates were cleared, we weren't asked how the meal was or whether everything was wrong given I'd left the whole egg, so customer service could probably be a bit better too. The avocado on toast was lovely - well seasoned and delicious.
I'll be going back soon at a weekend so will report back on whether food is better at busier times.
D. H.
Average Sunday roast. First time here. I'd visit again but I wouldn't be excited about going. The service let it down the most; I had to try and find a server for everything, trying to flag down for drinks, for more water, to clear empty plates away and to ask for the bill - really embarrassing on their part. When you did request things from the server they were polite though and were amenable to changes, that's why I gave 3 and not 2 stars.
R. B.
Awesome outside area with a burger shack! Especially great in the summer, tables and booths and plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. Winter heaters too. Well staffed, food is good and large selection of drinks. Awesome place!
J. D.
A few years ago now Young's took over this local pub and redeveloped the interior the beer garden area and created a fairly smart looking restaurant and lounge area.
Overall the layout is quite nice and it's a lively popular local venue attracting a good crowd of locals.
However the food is consistently poor and the prices are West End expensive. This make it terribly poor value. I had the fish and chips here recently, normally a safe option, but for £15 a small-ish piece of frozen white-fish and oven chips really isn't acceptable.
The chartuterie starter should be avoided at all costs.
A meal for a family of four here will come in at nearly £100. It's just too much for this standard of food.
A. K.
Food and table service was great, sadly bar didn't stick to any of our instructions.
A. O. R.
Great place for to grab a drink as you would in a pub but also has a small garden for outdoor eating which is great along with a few street food stalls around the side which are easily accessible with sofa seating. Great environment and great service from pleasant staff
T. C.
A really nice pub with a very comfortable outdoor seating area. Nicely done up outdoors, with cute booths to sit in, all with heaters. Pub itself is in a nice building.
m. R.
a lovley friendly pub. fantastic menu with lots of choice regarding wines.
the staff were helpful and overall had a great evening. will be returning for Sunday roast next week
J. D.
The latest refurb of Young's pubs has brought the 'Pied Bull' into the 21st century and each of my visits has been a pleasure. Food dependably good, comfortable surroundings and great staff. However as I no longer live in the area the lack of parking, and even local parking, is a downside so just 4/5
M. S.
The Bull was fantastic pre-covid... its now the only pub I fully trust... you can tell they really do care for your safety. Great job by the whole team. Thanks guys :)
K. A. R.
The outdoor area here is incredible! Food is always good and the service is fantastic.
P. S.
Great food, covid19 safe with a cool app to order to your table. A lovely beer garden off to the side too.
M. O.
Good fun no pool tables though Decent beer and free dog biscuits.
Good times.
P. M.
Aaargh. Was once a great pub, now tries to be something for everyone. They actually sell a steak that costs £56! But also do burgers, cocktails and almost everything. No character other than trendy modern. Very popular (sic).
S. E.
Nice welcoming atmosphere. Good food and great selection of wines and spirits. Popular with young mothers in the afternoon. Big screens to watch sports. Game night every week.
R. B.
The best pub in Streatham Common just ahead of The railway. Expensive for sure but the food is very good. The wood burning fire is great in the winter. The outdoor space and bar is as good as any pub you will come across and with the wood burning fires means it is great in winter or summer.
L. F.
Huge pub that caters for everyone.
Good range of Youngs ales, lots of craft lager, ciders, gins etc.
Food available almost all day as far as I know. Large garden to the rear.
T. S.
Used to come here 40 years ago, coming now from North Wales for me it's expensive but a fab pub and a pint of Ram and Spesh beats all ales. Great staff, excellent ale and well worth a visit if you have a full wallet.
A.
Can't fault this pub at all. We had a lovely meal and the kids were well catered for. I also had a moment to play a game of battleships with my sister and a glass of wine. Bliss.
M. L. (.
Lovely place for lunch, friendly staff and I can thoroughly recommend the Posh Fish Finger sandwich... very nice. The kids had sausage and chips from their kids menu, generous portions for two hungry girls... thanks for a great lunch to all at The Bull 😊
H. H.
Great atmosphere, great food, ,great customer service. Will def go back!
D. W.
Standard youngs face-lift applied to become one of the better pubs at this end of Streatham. Good food and nice outside area. Personally I don't like the fake grass and the 'cocktail bar' is really just an outside bar, very little knowledge on mixing drinks.
M. I.
Great vegetarian food ( but not many options to choose from) , dog friendly ! On warm days you can sit in big outore space , winter time sit next to fireplace and there is more then 1 to choose from:)
D. W.
Very dog friendly, except the restaurant. The grub is amazing. Get yourself a burger from the burger shack or if it is sunny you get the Al a carte menu out the back and you can eat this in the lounge area of the pub. The Bull has a HUGE sunny garden, tunes and cosy shacks.... roll on Summer!
S. M.
Great Food, very friendly Staff and lots of space inside and outside!
Family, kids and dog friendly!
Must try this place!
M. R.
Best pub food in South London. Nice staff, loads of space inside, cosy outside seating with fires, heaters and rugs, it's awesome.
S. J.
Sunday roast was delicious. I had the chicken but there is also beef, lamb and pork belly. Kids also have the same choice and a few other options. Service was fast and friendly
J. S.
Nice atmosphere. Has a beer garden and is spacious. Staff were smiling which makes the experience a whole lot better
I. C.
Good as always! Beautiful garden pub! You can order at the table using an app. Great service 😌
L. H.
Great outdoor set up. Love the wooden sheds c/w tv monitors and heaters. Food was good too. Atmosphere on point....nicely tucked away establishment....
Z. W.
Really nice beer garden, good selection of drinks. Will be visiting more
R. H.
Good start to my first pub visit since lock down. Young pub app easy to use and lots of waiting staff on had so quick service.
D. P.
Really nice decor. The restaurant is really good. The beer garden is a great place to chill out if the weather's good and there's a Burger Shack out back that's open on weekends.
A. V.
Great to see that every time we return the food and the staff are still great. It's not summer just yet but with heating on and a comfortable seating area dining outside is just as good when inside it's too crowded.
T. E.
I had a roast pork on Sunday. It was very good. And they had open fires. Or stoves perhaps. Anyway, there were fires. But that wasn't as good as the pork. £65 for a baked Camembert, two dinners and I think three glasses of wine.
M. M.
Very cozy and nice pub. Especially in summertime, their gardens is great with burger bar. In generall food is very good and they have nice beers
J. M.
Delicious vegetarian food 😋
S. C.
Excellent food. The biggest ham hock and lovely seating in the garden, huge space for diners and plenty of room to buy a bar. Lovely place for dinner with the kids.
E. N.
Great pub with nice garden terrace.
A. M.
Really lovely pub with outdoor garden, great in both summer and winter. Good selection of ales and wine. Food ok perhaps slightly overpriced.
D. K.
Great pub and good food
I have been here many times since it changed from The Pied Bull. Staff are really friendly, no problem with children staying late as long as they are eating Good menu during the week and on Sundays a classic roast dinner very good.
J. J. A.
Great pub good selection of beers and food and the staff very helpful. I had the sausage and mash I couldn't finish the sausage it was very nice. I would recommend this place
A. R.
A great pub with tasteful different seating areas. The garden is a favourite which has heated pods . The staff are fast friendly. Easily the best pub in streaham.
T. K.
Great food, amazing outdoor area. Highly recommended
N. M.
What a transformation this place has undergone! It's now a legitimate all-day venue with restaurant seating, pub areas and an incredible outdoor area. Amazing service, delicious food, great range of drinks, not necessarily good value but makes up for it in every other way.
M. B.
Great pub with friendly and helpful staff.
C. J.
Omg didn't expect much from a pub roast dinner but wow the food and flavours slapped me in the face lol.
Atmosphere is relaxed and staff are always busy looking after customers.
Loved it will come again.
M. A.
Highly recommended - great service and food with lots of tasty veggie options!
J. J.
Best pub in South London hands down. Such a great atmosphere, the outside "sheds" are awesome to watch a game or hang out in, food is top notch.
V. W.
Excellent food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. It is my favourite pub in streatham.
K. T.
Great service and great food! So glad this is my local.
P. G.
Dinner for two - outside under decent patio heaters - nice atmosphere - friendly, competent staff - food was good too!
b.
It's a nice place, ordering only via app....heater in our table was out of order but I'm sure it just happened, I think this place is well organized!!
S. P.
Nice pub, good food, good service
c. r.
Nice place to have a drink. Good selection and vibe. Average roasts though - had the beef (expensive & v poor vegetables)
i. o.
One of the best pubs i have been too by far. The bull has a great atmosphere and the food was so good. Can't wait to go back
A. V.
Bar staff are professional and polite. Great beer garden. When the sun is out, you're guaranteed sunshine all day long. Food is great too.
C. G.
Very good Young's pub, as you would expect. A lot of seating, a large kitchen and an expansive outdoor area mean you have a lot of choice for whatever you may need.
P. W.
Fantastic local pub great staff relaxed surroundings suitable for children at weekends and a wonderful venue for pretty much all kinds of events....staff are young kind and respectable and even tried refusing to accept a tip....wonderful little place
A. J.
This pub is outstanding. Beautiful decoration and facilities. Love the fireplace. Food is great. Can't fault this place.
M. H.
Good atmosphere, decent food. Defo go again
E. P.
Very good service, good beer selection and good food. It has a fantastic beer garden. Great for kids!
P. M.
Good pub after a long walk. Companions liked their Sunday roast, beer was fine, waitress helpful and friendly.
A. T.
We went for a birthday meal and everything was just great. Food and staff and service. Have been a few times before and will definitely be returning.
M. L. C.
The Bull is a firm favourite for us. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. Nice selection of beers too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Streatham!
N.
A really nice place but one major flaw. They allow kids all night so I'm there at 10.30pm on a Saturday while two parents are letting their kids run around the place. A massive put off. Nothing against kids but not at that time.
M. H.
The upgrade of the pub has provided a new lease of life to what was a fairly quiet yet appealing pub which looked to be struggling in the development of Streatham. The beer garden upgrade is fantastic and opening up the interior creates a much better vibe than the old 'boozer' and dining separated areas.
The most important aspect however is the menu - and this is where I'm divided in my opinion. The 'ham hock' is out of this world in both taste, size and value for money. The burgers are also pretty good. However, I like a good steak but to be charged 11 pounds/100g for aberdeen angus is outrageous. This is more expensive than the Chateaubriand at the Hawksmoor!!!!
Please Mr Bull owner, have a think about the steak prices. It might just make you the best pub around for miles because everything else is pretty much spot on.
R. W.
The Bull feels like the sister pub to The Castle in Tooting. Both are Youngs pubs which have been smartened up in recent years. You'll see weathered old locals, you'll see ladies huddled round their shared bottle of prosecco, you'll see inlaws out for Sunday lunch - it's all very SW London. The outside area is a joy to behold in Summer. Downside is that the large dining area steals valuable seating away from those who just want to put away 10 pints of Special. A good boozer, but as sisters go The Bull is slightly older and more sensible than the Castle. I know which one I'd rather take on a date...
D. R.
Like this pub and the food is good.
Some of the staff especially behind the bar need more training!! Even verging on rudeness when they have got it wrong!
N. S.
Great food, please don't let the chef leave. Good atmosphere, the only thing for me is the live music is a bit loud for a Sunday afternoon. Recommend for everyone to go to
M.
Good burgers from Burger Shack in the summer. Nice selection of ales to browse. Quite pricey but the atmosphere is chilled.
E. L. J.
Nice big outdoor seating area and good food
T. M.
Lovely local with great food. The outside area is amazing and really well done. One of the best I've seen in London. A must visit if you live in South London.
D. A.

K. P.
Lovely pub for drinks and yummy food! Great for kids too.

J. R.
Great atmosphere, socially distanced eating. Great staff.
A. R.
Great food, quick service & friendly staff. Try the blue cheese slaw - nice! Also great outside area for when the weather is good.
J. B.
An excellent pub, perfect indoor and outdoor facilities. Which we use for out meetup on the last Thursday of each month to discuss difficult effecting 18-35 year olds.
S. I.
Good outdoor area. Nice food menu for lunch
A. U.
Great place! Nice but not too loud music. Decent choice of beer and drinks/cocktails.
R. G.
Fantastic venue. Would get 5 stars if the service was better. Come here for a beer in the summer, you will not be disappointed xx
A. D.
Brilliant range of wines. Restaurant. Friendly staff nice atmosphere. Cosy pub area. Heated outdoor area. Real fireplace.
J. K.
Very nice chilled atmosphere good to have a few drinks with family or partner.
P. J.
Customer sevice is excellent here. Love the outside garden and like the way they have a blanket to offer you on your way out in the garden you keep you warm. Brilliant
s. m.
Fab night out. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
T. H.
Very cosy pub with good sandwiches and skinny fries. Not too impressed by the salad though, it is tasteless.
j.
A solid example of a modern youngs pub. Food is good, great beer garden.
M. A.
Nice pub with excellent garden and buildings as per many modern Young's pubs. Some beers go off too quickly though!
H. F.
Lovely pub and usually great service. Food has got a bit expensive but it's usually good and plentiful.
C. K.

L. J.
Came here with my partner who used to be a patron here in the 70s (when it was the Pied Bull) for a Ram Rod and a special and loved walking down memory lane with him .Great atmosphere, food, and drink (go for the Ram Rod and special!!)
S. D.
Good food nice space good for families, customer service could be better, while dining a member of staff keep patrolling the area for no apparent reason, a bit unsettling
R. C.
Brilliant local pub, outdoor area is fantastic, always seems fairly bustling, great Sunday roast.
A. P.
Really good vibe about the place, the food is delicious. The staff are friendly and very helpful. A lovely experience!
Y. S.
Lovely garden and really nice cocktails.
A. h.
The relatively new fit out has gentrified a sleepy old man boozer. Now it's lovely and the outside space is excellent, but the prices have moved upwards with the interior and it's now just that little bit too expensive
m. p.
Great local pub, friendly atmosphere, comfortable. Fair selection of drinks and okay food
S.
Hawksmoor priced steaks but standard pub quality. Given the price, food and service quality was erratic. Otherwise a nice enough pub with good beer.
S. R.
Good meal, good service, would recommend...
C. B.
Great refurb, really comfy and cosy outdoor areas with heaters for these autumnal nights! Burger shack is an awesome touch
L. m. F.
Stopped here for quick pint of Guinness. Nice atmosphere. Guinness was acceptable but then again I am very fussy about my Guinness.

Not a traditional pub with pool anymore. Smart gastropub with more young families.
