Reviews of The Cadogan Arms
C. F.
This place was a little fancier than the pubs we visited during our UK trip. I felt a little underdressed, but no one seemed to care and others were dressed casually. Very nice ambiance. The fish and chips here were the best we experienced. We will definitely be recommending this to others and hopefully visiting again someday. I do wish the toast that came with my mussels was actually toasted and not soft bread, but it was still good. The desserts were lovely.

Hands down one of the top Sunday roasts I’ve ever had (and I have had plenty in this life). Been intending to go here for a while and I’m glad I finally did as it was a brilliant experience. Aside from the food being incredibly DELICIOUS (all cooked and seasoned well - Yorkshire pudding was on the overcooked side, but still great), there’s a great selection on the menu, the aesthetics of the place is cosy, elegant, traditional yet modern and clean, the staff were friendly and service was top notch. Food came very quickly too. Our host was very informative, gave recommendations and explained the menu very well. I will definitely return and I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in the Chelsea area. Also, there are plenty of things to do round about it.
A. D.
New pub in Chelsea. Once you come in you’ll immediately feel like this is not a classic English pub. The design and the interiors are extremely lust and luxurious. There are chandeliers hanging all around and that makes the atmosphere even more elegant.
There is a bar upstairs with big dining tables and there is also a smaller room downstairs with a smaller bar and few more table.
Food is good and so are the drinks.
Friendly staff.
Highly recommended if you’re visiting the area.

Good food and beautiful classic pub decor with excellent service. The oysters were by far the best, though the bread was delicious too. We had mussels for our main course and were slightly disappointed at the size of the mussels.
Main reason for a 4 and not a 5 is poor acoustics, it was so loud! We went on a Sat evening for dinner and could barely hear each other even though our table was tiny and people in the bar were in a separate area. So probably a better experience at non peak weekend times.
M. M.
Wow! Opulent interiors, exemplary service and a great menu, the Cadogan Arms is back better than ever!
Right in the heart of Chelsea, plenty of parking in the evening around if you need it.
We still can't stop thinking about the Chicken liver parfait which was amazing. They have an extensive meat fridge for incredible steaks.
We opted for the formal dining area at the back but they also have a bar menu at the front.
Really lovely for a nice evening out. It is absolutely stunning inside, definitely worth a visit. Recommend booking ahead.

One of, if not the best pub in Chelsea
I went a few days after opening and have been going regularly ever since.
Great beer selection, classic cocktails prepared to perfection and good, simple but interesting food in a fantastic setting.
The staff is also very welcoming and knowledgeable. Shout out to Wes, AJ and Sam, who always make it a fun visit.
N. C.
Amazing food for decent prices. Great selection of drinks and service. They messed up our booking (we called and booked but they didn't have it) but after a touch of back and forth admitted their error and gave us a round of drinks to compensate. All dishes great, particularly the mussels and boneless lamb ribs (forgot to photo these).
E. S.
We went here for our anniversary dinner. I wrote down the occasion on the booking site, not expecting anything, but the staff made a surprise with a dessert plate written in chocolate "Happy Anniversary" to us, that made us add the extra star.
Food was great (the usual pub fare), my husband was happy with his GIGANTIC fish and chips and me with my moules. A wide selection of beers, not just English ale, that also made me happy (sorry, I do love English ale, but a girl needs situation change sometimes). Recommended.
A. M.
An absolutely beautiful Interrior, with a great selection of wine and beers on tap.
Sunday lunch cannot be faulted! Service was super too. (The bar lady and hostess let the team down a little, otherwise it’s a 5 all day long)
L. S.
A Chelsea Classic, with great ambience music and people standing up chatting and having fun. Relaxed dress code and really nice wooden warm interiors. Also, perfect for a pub crawl following up The Anglesea Arms’ closure at 11pm.
S. C.
I had a fabulous lunch here with my daughter yesterday (Thursday)
Just like its sister pub, The George in Great Portland Street, the food and service is first class.
Lamb ribs starter fabulous; steak was rare; exactly how my daughter wanted it. And the beer-battered haddock fish and chips was perfect.
Ample portions, huge piece of fish; all beautifully presented and professionally served
The Cadogan Arms is a beautiful pub, tastefully done out and with very comfortable seating (unusual for a pub).
The bill came to £99 for two and a half courses for two people (we shared dessert) and I had half a lager. I have no problem paying that as everything was first class, but I do think even for Chelsea it was a bit pricey for mid-week lunch.
I think to get bums on seats, which surely they will need come the end of pandemic and return to offices, they should offer a set lunch menu; say, £30/35 three courses. This is what many posh restaurants (and this is really a restaurant much more than a local drinking pub) do in the centre of town. And BTW this place is definitely not in the centre of town or particularly near a tube station.
But well worth the long walk down the King's Road
Highly recommended

Absolutely outstanding night here - had a big reunion with a load of old schoolmates, they tucked us in a corner with plenty of our own space, service was spot on, friendly and attentive without overdoing it. Great food - the scotch eggs were a huge hit, and I loved my pork chop. They even patiently waited for me to herd the cats into a photo after they closed, all in all can't recommend it enough!
O. T.
What a beautiful venue, delightful staff, fantastic ambience and delicious food.
Kudos to the bar team, Joe & George, so helpful and knowledgeable.
Highly recommended, it’s a shame I can give only 5 stars.
We’ll be back.

One of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve had in London! The whole meal was wonderful, we did the shearing board and it was a very generous amount of food for 3. Tried most of the desserts and the chocolate fondant and pineapple cake were especially good. Beautiful interior and lovely waitstaff. Will definitely be back!
C. B.
Between our group we had 4 different meals on the evening. They were all cooked perfectly and all the special requests were correct. Top marks for food and also to the serving team. Very friendly and helpful and overall a great atmosphere. This Venue has got it right. Looking forward to going back again.
J. S.
Incredible pub in the heart of Chelsea. We've been a few times and on every occasion the service, food and drinks were excellent. Outstanding Sunday lunch menu too! Highly recommended
J. L.
Great atmosphere with the splendid refurb job that took years to complete.
I have been four times since it reopened. It is one of my locals and love the vibe and food. Albeit like many restaurants they could reduce salt.
However, the service is just too slow. It was two hours before we ate our main course and no time for pudding.
A.
I've been during the day never on an evening. Don't think I dare can't imagine the people they get in there. However staff are good, if you sit at the far end near the entrance it can be hard to get staff attention as they focus their efforts at the other end. Had fish and chips here and they are to die for!!! Can't wait to try some of the other food.
Went back on Easter Sunday with friend and dog. The Irish lady and the northern lady were lovely. We were made to feel right at home and within ten minutes I think all the staff knew the dog's name! Wanted lamb but it wasn't for one person so went back to fish and chips. My friend had a chicken roast and it was fabulous!!! This place does not disappoint, do give it a go.

When it comes to drinking in Chelsea there are few options when hoping for an actual pub. Not only is this venue decadent and well located, it not only has a fantastic selection of tap beers, a great back bar, a super small bite and food offering but also great staff. They smile, they are personable and if they can facilitate whatever you need then they will. Hands down my favourite place to drink in Chelsea.
I. I. U.
Fantastic oysters 6for £16. Looking posh pub service is very professional and friendly. Highly recommended
A.
Great staff and service with exceptional food. Boy has the place changed since I was last there. Not better or worse, just a very different ambience. In its new clothes and personality, it is excellent .
Don't go there looking for a game of pool and to watch the football, though.
L. G.
It was a nice experience, we had a lovely girl frome Chile she was fantastic, all team was lovely, but in the end it was a girl she come and saying in 15 minute's she need that table...just thinking if I wanted to have some desert ...so that make me to feel uncomfortable .The place is nice, very clean. Food was nice .
M.
This pub has been closed for renovation. The two year wait was worth while. An excellent job has been done, it is in the style of an old pub but with modern amenities. The staff were friendly and willing to accommodate us with a table we had not booked but enabled us to watch the band. When they needed the table for the booked reservation they managed to find us another. The dining area was full, our group all agreed that the food looked good and we will book a table in the near future.
D. H.
Everything about this place are just beautiful!!!! People (staff and customers), service, food, and the ambience! I can’t praise this place enough. I live around the corner for many years and was so sad when they closed for refurbishment. Many years later…, all good things are worth waiting for! Having worked in five star hotels for more than 20 years, their service was impeccable! This will be my new regular place after our everlasting lockdown!
A. T.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating! We booked the Rose room downstairs for a small hen party and everyone was super friendly and flexible - really did all they could to make sure our hen had a fab time. Thanks so much!
T. B.
Absolutely love this place! Without a doubt the nicest pub interior I’ve ever seen with the food, drink and service to match. We went in for the Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint. Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection and the Rhubarb Trifle we shared for dessert was equally impressive. Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in London.
A. G.
Enjoyed a great Sunday roast here yesterday with my family for my dad’s birthday. We were well
Looked after by the wonderful manager, Hannah, and by our fantastic waiter, Harry. Glad to see this, now beautiful, local pub reopened and in far better nick than when I was drinking in there underage 20+ years ago!
B. V. d. m.
Very nice pub with good food. Though very noisy
R. C.
Went on a Sunday with a group of 8 people. Most people opted for a roast and said the lamb was amazing, I had a burger and was just in agreement with my food! Would go back again!
R. R.
The Scotch eggs are to die for! Very nice pub and the staff is friendly, polite and attentive. Nice crowd too.
S.
Fantastic pub full of character and I love that the decor has been restored and put how it would be back in the days, even the toilets are beautifully restored and it looks fab.Good choice of food and drink at reasonable price.Staff are friendly and helpful.
S. V.
Personally favourite pub in Chelsea, nice and welcome atmosphere. Overall, little nice and chill place for you and your folks.
I. M.
Welcoming pub with a nice decor. Friendly staff. Food is pretty standard pub food but I found it expensive for the quality they offer
E. Y.
A very nicely decorated pub, good selections of beers and decent cocktails. However the food menu is quite limited and misses the British classics
h. r.
Been here 3 times since the opening - a weekday evening, a Sunday lunch and a weekend evening. Wow!
Cannot get over how stunning this pub is in every respect. The staff were discreet but attentive, courteous and very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. The food was sublime. I wanted everything on every course - and that does not happen very often! The pub is so beautifully decorated. Absolute class! And their philosophy is great too. As an example, the way they celebrated the bees during Chelsea Flower Show week.
If I am ever in this part of town, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Yes, you pay a premium, but worth every penny!
A. D.
I came here on Sunday for Sunday lunch as I haven't had a roast in years and was craving it for the past month. It did not disappoint, it was truly scrumptious I'll be coming at least once a month to get my Sunday Roast fix. The live band was amazing playing New Orleans style blues and jazzy style music. The ambience was truly amazing. Such a great way to spend a relaxing Sunday. Plus the staff are so cool, so warm and friendly. I'm very particular and they met my standards. One of my colleagues who lives in Putney will be going with her family because she said it sounds amazing.
A. G.
Absolutely loved the staff, atmosphere and food especially at this lovely well run pub in Chelsea. Thank you All!
T. G.
Fantastic pub that has a wonderful combination of cozy and class. The menu is exciting modern British and doesn't break the bank while also being quite an elevated offering. My personal highlight of the trip was a dessert of figs, granita and cream which was elegant in its simplicity and the quality of the ingredients.
D. P.
Nice pub with good beers and you can even get cocktails if that's your thing. Only downside is it was rammed. Thursday evening visit.
T. K.
Came to eat yesterday and had the best Sunday roast of my life. Absolutely phenomenal food, friendly staff, amazing playlist, and such a good vibe and ambiance! Loved every minute of it. Can’t imagine a more perfect roast than this.
Z. R.
Excellent food, was super tasty, just to warn you it is very busy and loud, but I really enjoyed here, they also think about the personal touches.
J. S.
Love love love the baby Guinness 'shooter'. Thought the whole drinks menu was well thought out- something for everyone. Tasty/punchy cocktails yet the traditional ales on tap.
Had the fried chicken- presented beautifully and also yummy.
Hats off to the team!
C. A.
Fantastic food, drinks and service in a beautiful bar. What more could you ask for...definitely a local....even though its a little far!
U. M.
It's a while since we have used the Cadogan Arms with it being closed, but as it is now reopened and we are in London there was no excuse for not going in. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. The drinks were good and we enjoyed the time we spent there. The refurb is good and provides a good ambience, however as the pub was full it was loud like a club rather than a pub. Next time we are passing we will go back in for a drink.
S. P.
Very good food, terrific staff and lively atmosphere!
N. J.
Food was nice, attentive service, but way too loud, should consider installing phonic insulation. I had to get out, out of desperation on a Saturday lunchtime
C. S.
Beautifully appointed in a Russian Belle Epoque style, the rejuvenated Cadogan Arms is still a pub, albeit with reservation facilities for tables.
But it's still a Pub, even when charging £90 for a bottle of House champagne. Table service just acceptable. Unfortunately my handbag was stolen from underneath my chair in the middle of the evening. Which is probably something to do with the doors being left open for the outside drinkers.
A. H.
Loved this place! Ornate, welcoming friendly staff, except for one member who rushed us from our very small unreserved table in order to sit someone else! We had planned on leaving anyway, but was finishing a conversation with a lovely local couple sat next to us. I thought it actually quite rude of her as she kept glaring at us until we left. Not very pleasant.
A. S.
Great atmosphere and decor with live music on Sunday althou a tad loud and need to shout to be heard, otherwise would of been 5 stars. Good selection of non commercial beers and for Kings Road not too expensive although they have put up there prices again since opening a couple of months ago.
T. F.
Beautiful warm interior, great welcoming service and delicious food.
N. D.
Absolutely briliant refurbishment to the highest standard. The bar and all of thw interior fittings are superb. Its like stepping back into a glorious gin palace pub. I really hope it succeeds.
B. S.
London pub vibe with a fancy twist! Great drinks offering and staff were very friendly and accommodating!
A. L.
A really old boozer done good. The food was excellent and the bar staff very attentive. If it's a quiet pint you're after then you can sit at the bar. Really fun evening!!
A. S.
Sunday roast was expensive but worth it. We had the beef and the chicken and both were perfectly cooked. The service was very good and friendly. It was one of the better Sundays roast we had
P. N.
The venue fab clear locals frequent which is a good sign refurb fabulous.sunday lunch enerous main course £30 didn't have starter beef very tender veg great vino a tad expensive sauvignon blanc south African £10+ per 175mls per glass would I go again YES
R. S.
Festive season atmosphere and a lovely Sunday dinner, a cut above most pub offerings. Attentive and efficient service, too.
N. M.
I’d been going to the old Cadogan Arms for nearly 30 years and was a little apprehensive to see what the new Cadogan was going to be like. The old pub was a Chelsea haunt held together by nostalgia, cue chalk, Stella and spilt sambuca. The new Cadogan Arms by @jks_restaurants is a whole new proposition. The attention to detail in the refurbishment is astonishing. The food was incredible, the service impeccable. There just aren’t enough superlatives to do the place justice. Get yourself down there sharpish. Truly incredible.
F. W.
Excellent food and service, you can’t tell it’s only been open a few weeks.
K. S.
Lovely pub
£12 -50 for a gin and tonic a bit steep
F. D.
Great refurb, team, drinks and food. Love it as can pop in for drinks or eat - so not only gastro pub. Really good addition to the local area. My go to now when shopping on Kings Road.
F. T.
Probably the best pub food I’ve ever had for the price. Great service too. Delicious.
H. M.
Hands down greatest Sunday lunch in the country. Great beer selection.
K. D.
Fabulously refurbished in proper style. A must pub experience along Kings Road. Gets crowded in the evening. Good food.
D. D.
Very nice upmarket bistro bar since its reopening.well worth a visit
C. C.
Lovely revamped menu of posh comfort food. Prompt and polite service. Buzzy (loud) atmosphere. Overall v good.
a. g.
Crowded at weekends some staff rather slow and unpleasant in downstairs bar
S. S.
Excellent food, portions, atmosphere and service
R. J.
Friendly pub on the King's Road with interesting beer choice.
M. M.
Really nice ambience and bar staff. Good sized TV downstairs as well as well cleaned toilets!
D. P.
Beautiful pub, though very very limited space at the drinks area. People pile up standing at passage ways.
L. J.
Its Ok
Pricey drinks but some intersting beers and cocktails
Great date spot downstairs cosy and dark
Music good but pretty pedestrian
L. B.
Very cliquey. Started to wonder if they served women. But once served they were lovely
S. H.
A beautiful pub with ornate decor. £6.50 for most beers. Friendly staff. Card only payments.
n.
Super place with a live music 👌
C. C.
One of the best roasts in London 👌🏼
A. R.
The place is great, but the food was overcooked this time
L. P.
Delicious roast, friendly staff and great live music. Love this place
S. H.
What a surprise! Amazing food with wonderful service. I have a rather weird diet to contend with, the waitress was so helpful and the menu was altered to accommodate it. I had the Mackerel with black pudding croquettes and the Iberico pork, they were both so so good. I can't recommend this place enough.
H. B.
Great crowd, great service and food! Cant wait to go back.
A. S.
This pub is nice enough but it lacked character. Still, the food for our private event (mini fish and chips in cute newspaper cones, that sort of thing) was pretty good, and they have a proper pool room upstairs if you're into that sort of thing.
T. O.
London is very expensive for nice food
M. B.
Great place really friendly with great employees. Really appealing and with a great food menu as well
D.
I went there in August. It was the best meal I had when I was visiting the UK.. The hake was amazing. And the bar tending staff was very helpful... Will stop in again next time I make it back to London
M. T.
Decent pub food, beautiful pub
L. S.
Delicious menu, vibey space, charming GM... Can't wait to go back!
R. K.
Expensive drinks and lots of broken glasses on the terrace
I. T.
Very friendly staff, good beer. Something very burlesque about it.
W. S.
Top spot. How pubs and restaurants should be!
M. H.
Nice place on the King's Road but beware, thieves operate in there, my friend had his bag stolen.
W. W.
Possibly the best pub in London
J. C.
Great pub - tad expensive...
G. M. I.
Great Pub In The Heart Of Chelsea's Trendy Kings Road. Always Buzzing And Vibrant And A Great Place To People Watch Not Knowing Which Stars Are Going To Pass By!
P. S.
Very busy staff were great food excellent.
K. P. (.
They've got some good real ales here and the chips, served with Béarnaise sauce, are luscious! The tables and chairs are all wooden (except for a bench covered with a cushion - I was jealous I had a chair) and there's pool upstairs. There's a quiz on Mondays with some die-hard regular teams, so expect a competition - and book a table.
d. r.
Enjoyed some good pub grub here has the feel of a real English pub the prices are good value for money, give it a whirl
S. H.
Popular hangout handy for a shandy
J. B.

M. G.
Lunch session🍻 then back for evening scran, & Emma on the tv🎾👍
C. B.
Insanely long wait for table but food utterly delicious. Would go again.
R. M.
Hiding out just down the road from Henry J Beans and the Big Easy is the Caodgan arms, a big pub in a good location on the Kings Road. It's got all the pub touches a boars hear , glass mirrors with writing, and lots of wood panelling.
As pubs go it's nice, but a little darkthat was made up by the good chips and excellent service.
i was there for the regular monday pub quiz which has a small but loyal following and the quizmaster is pretty kind with clues and help.
As quizzes go this is a good fun (though not the most taxing), and if I lived closer I suspect I might go more often in general.
K. S.
Nice place a little expensive I thought but it's London lol
R. A.
Super clean pub
S. R.
I had the most horrible Côte de bœuf I've ever tasted. It seemed it was fish flavoured! Awful! When we complain they justified themselves by saying it was the ageing. I know meat, that wasn't it, it was old and bad quality. They did offer to make me anything else I wanted, but I seemed that I had to pay for it, anyway.
The Blackberry and almond tart was reheated so many times it tasted old, as well.
The waiter was nice, but could have given us a little discount being that we couldn't finish the bœuf.
Deco is good. But oveall too pricy, specially for the quality of the products.
J. H.
The interior of this building is amazing and the staff very attentive
T. H.
friendly staff & a nice pub
G. P.
Fantastic deco. Good beers.
B. M.
Awesome pub with best pub food in London
J. H.
Modernised pub which was unsurprisingly a bit bland and generic for my tastes.

One of the best Sunday lunch meals I've had in a very long time.
T. R.
Fantastic old architectural pub in the heart of SW3 Kings Road. Beautiful interiors. Seriously good food and the best atmosphere. The Sunday lunch was first class and the background live jazz band a real treat.
V. C. Z.
great atmosphere, service, chic design and even greater food! the fish and chips were out of this world!
