Great pub , a little expensive compared to our local but nice atmosphere.
The toilets are downstairs and very steep..
The Assembly Rooms upstairs..brilliant intimate music venue .

Went for a company staff party, starter i had was a bruschetta and it was pretty good, i also tried my friends potato wedges and they were very bland despite it having garlic and rosemary on top and the aloli sauce tasted of nothing, main i had was a margarita pizza which was ok wasnt as flavourful as i would have hoped and felt lacking and a little dry from the pizza base, dessert however was amazing but they put to much cocoa powder on top but overall its ok food for when u get drunk i guess, its definitely not a food u would go for sober tho. Drinks are pretty decent, but their staff seemed uninterested in there jobs and felt like they dont care about the customer services to serve us, tho they might just be tired from a long shift hopefully they will be happier if i come back next time.

Great pub and music venue, reasonably priced bar, great atmosphere in music venue, very intimate great for up and coming bands, great staff.

I went here for my birthday party. We were a large group and so I opted to hire out the playroom. I was keen to do some karaoke, and for the length of time we had in a private space with our own private bar, it was more than worth it. We actually had a little mix up between the Camden assembly and another venue, but I'm so pleased we stumbled upon here instead!
The communication with Claire from head office was quick, helpful and very informative, there were so many options, and when asked about food allergies they were able to be accommodating.
On the night, the female security guard was very sweet, as were all of the bar and security staff. After we finished our private party, some of us opted to stay for a dance at their club night - we were not disappointed!
I would love to come back again, the only criticism I would have is the volume of the karaoke backing track, but I'm sure it's something that could be adapted!

Fun place, nice atmosphere and great live music with gigs taking place upstairs (room comes with a smaller bar with all the necessary alcohol). Downstairs bar with enough room to dance, and nice staff. Will need to come back to try their 2-7 happy hours on the weekend!
G. W.
The atmosphere is incredible, upstairs you find a nice club to dance and downstairs you find a exciting mix of pop music.
The staff: extremely polite and well trained, professionals.
My new favourite place in Camden <3

Stopped here for a couple of drinks during the day & it was good little spot. The drinks were reasonably priced & the toilets were clean.

Lovely! Great music and great atmosphere. It has 2 different rooms, with different counters and different kind of music. My friends and I really enjoyed the pop/rock music on the ground floor.
T. M.
Outstanding burgers, and sides, great quality. The cocktails were amazing, not too weak nor too strong. Best of all is the live music, where you can discover new bands and artists. Loved it! Great for all ages
D. D. R.
Nice pub and bar with cheap cocktails. Very frendly staff. Interior is a bit dark. There is an upstairs area with live music, but they charged £10 to get in.
R. H.
Put simply it's a room above a pub. 200 people max, it's dark it's hot and sweaty, it's loud and the floor bounces. Fantastic experience. I had a brilliant night. I will certainly go back.
M. H.
Camden pub and live music venue, short walk from Chalk Farm underground station. Quite dark inside but this adds to the atmosphere once tables are cleared away and the dj gets their set underway. A mixed crowd and attentive table servers if you didn't wish to get up to the bar for a top up. Upstairs music venue hosts a wide range of upcoming and even smaller but established acts. Function room available for hire.
A.
Nice club with nice crowd and music. However the area is slightly dodgy specially late at night. I remember there was a B&E in the supermarket nearby when me and my friends went there and a couple of people were stabbed and injured. Take care guys!
S. U.
Stopped by for a short time for dinner and a drink with a friend. We had the Cheeseburger by new caterers Wild Buffalo which was really good indeed, certainly on par with the Lucky Chip burgers they used to do here.
G. S.
Staff were super friendly, and the venue was great for music! It's a small intimate place for a gig with a bar right at the back. Saw Tessa Violet there on her London tour.
I. P.
Good venue for live music. It has had a makeover and changed it's name from the Barfly. The beer is good and serves trendy burgers. Upstairs is the original stage and doesn't look as if much has been done to change it now it is called the O2 Assembly, which is a good thing.

Fantastic atmosphere with good music, great prices, super friendly bartenders, especially Gary who made our night :)
l. f.
Had lots of fun, with security always present polite and doing their job the way they should, made me feel safe.

Here for the Dear Reader concert and decided to try their grub before the show!
Well, even if the show sucked (which is impossible as Dear Reader is Brilliant) this would’ve been a brilliant evening as the Burger and Fries were one of the finest I’ve eaten in a LONG time!!!
Succulent medium-rare chargrilled gorgeousness sandwiched by loads of fresh fillings!
The fries which looked very plain & simple were spectacular and the surprise of the meal.
Will definitely return for the food 👍🏼

Nice pub with two floors. A small scene upstairs for concerts and club nights. There is an entry fee on some events but it is always very cheap. Prices are good overall.

Playroom private booking:
Highly recommended for nice sized fully private room! We had a great time and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive.
Food and drinks were awesome and room amenities super cool with a private bar, would come again!
N. P.
The vibe is great, I came here to attend an event called Crush RnB and Hiphop, bought the ticket a few days before for anytime entry but unfortunately when we came there the bouncer said that the event was over at 10 or 11 PM already. Bit of a shame that it wasn't stated on the ticket or the event info on the web.
We stayed there anyway to enjoy some drinks and some music until they're closed.
J. T.
Great atmosphere! Enjoyed watching Alfie and boys play a headline show there 🎶
J. H.
Formally the Camden Barfly - has seen many act make their start in the road to stardom.
Great sound - lights are good when the engineer can be bothered to use them to there best effect.
H. A. T. L.
Amazing live music and club events, the bar, security staff are so lovely and very helpful.
Great venue overall
I. K.
They barley had any alcohol free options at the bar. It was also terribly dark inside (like even darker than most bars) the place upstairs where the concert was held was very cute.
S. D.
Great bar with tasty food and a surprisingly awesome performance space upstairs. Lots of different music showcased here. An understated gem of a venue!
y. a.
It became my 1st favorite burger in the whole world 🌎.. deserve 10/10 👌🏼❤️
Another branch of burger & beyond
L. D.
Really cool and funky establishment. With friendly staff. They also currently have the best burgers in London by Burger & Beyond
M. R.
Great pub. Very enjoyable Friday night after gig in the Roundhouse
S.
Upstairs is a great venue for gigs with a stage. Friendly bar staff too.
O. B.
Lovely pub, weird decor but good place to be.
D. C.
There's better burgers and better pubs in Camden. Beer selection is good if a but pricy and served in plastic glasses. Burgers are alright but are pretty expensive for what they are.
3 and a half maybe.
L. S.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, comfortable and relaxed in the downstairs pub area , upstairs there is a great venue for listening to live bands
M. G.
A beautiful small live music venue with a lot of history on it's shoulders. Location wise is around 500 meters from the Camden tube station and much closer from Chalk Farm station. Staff are polite and welcoming with reasonable drink prices. Unfortunately there is no music for now due to the Covid19 calamity, but hopefully soon things will go back to normal.
M. E. K.
Great little venue upstairs. Good value drinks for the area as well.
D. 1.
Camden Assembly is definitely on my top 3 best nightclubs I have ever been to. Such a wonderful nightclub especially on Saturday nights. Wonderful bouncers, wonderful bar staff and wonderful managers. Even one of the manager bumped into me in central London and even said hi to me and asked me how my week was going.
I have been going here since September 2017 and I will continue to keep on coming here. The place has wonderful vibes. I have never seen a single fight coming here on Saturday nights. I even dated a girl I met here briefly.
Camden Assembly you rock. I am not giving you a 5 star. I am giving you a 10 star.
😊😊 Only downside to this nightclub on Saturday nights is it closes too early at 3am. Wish it could close at 4am instead.
S. S.
Mainly loved this cos they were serving burgers from burger beyond. Above that though the service was very good and selection of alcohol really diverse
B. H.
Atmosphere good bar staff polite if Sam supplier was brilliant good venue
G. C.
The best hamburger in London! Great atmosphere, live music and beer. What else?
T. R.
Good security, well staffed, great music with different vibes up and downstairs
R. M.
Great music, reasonably priced drinks. Perfect...
J. P.
The Hip Hop Orchestral rendition was an energetic hit that set the vibe followed by excellent music by a talented DJ who's mixing of tracks was on par with some of the best in the industry.
a. k.
Quiet...Lovely. .. Relaxing. .. That's what you need after craziness of Camden... Uffff. .. The only peaty is beer served in plastic :( :/ yuck
J. M.
This is a great bar to escape the busy city life happening just outside. We hired the upstairs room for a private party and it was great and included a private bar, karaoke, arcade machine, and the food that we ordered definitely hit the spot.
I really like the look, feel and theme of the place, and can imagine it's a nice place to visit in the day as well. I want to visit again and try some more of the delicious food on offer!
Importantly for a pub, drinks are important. There was a good selection, but the cocktail menu seemed a bit short of some of the classics I enjoy, however, the staff were more than accommodating and were able to make what I wanted.
Overall, great experience and definitely recommend you drop in if you're in the area.
E. Z.
Great intimate live music venue upstairs
C. T.
This is a gem of a place. Greeted by staff who advised what beer was available. The beer was good and well kept. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. We'll maintained conveniences. Didn't eat but the food coming out looked pretty good so I'll definitely be grabbing a bite next time I'm there.
J. B.
Used to be a great venue for live alternative music, it's now a RnB and Hip hop burger bar slash pub that lacks the edge it once had. If you go early is free to get in, 10 quid on the door if you go in later but still the area that used to be a staple of the Camden music scene is now a dead husk. The guy at the bar was good though, makes good cocktails.
A. W.
Great live music venue ‐ really small and personal. Upstairs is the dance floor area and the pub is on the ground floor. Drinks are reasonably priced and there's a good atmosphere.
J. B.
Excellent venue for a gig. Big enough for a great atmosphere, but small enough to get a great view of the stage.
J. B.
Fantastic atmosphere, good prices and staff were very polite
I. E.
Cute little pub, nice location and interesting upstairs area
A. S. A.
Great vibe. Very divey if that’s what you’re looking for. The bartenders were very nice and the bar wasn’t too crowded so it was easy to get a drink.
I went on a Friday night so it may get more busy on Saturdays. The dancing area upstairs was easy to get to. Would recommend coming earlier as later in the night there was a long queue outside. Good for lager groups b
K. J.
Very lovely and lively pub. A bit too loud for my taste but everyone seems to really like it. The only think I was a bit disappointed were the chips on my plate. Had a good burger and only a few chips. The chips could be more at least.
A.
Staff are always really lovely and friendly here, the atmosphere is really nice too. Reasonably priced drinks for Camden. Very close and convenient if you are going to Camden Roundhouse
K. A.
Great atmosphere, great cocktails and great service. The bouncer was great last night (sorry did not catch his name) he was polite, funny and totally set the mood for the night. Great service all round 🤗
C.
Great atmosphere and staff, really enjoyable place to spend a night out in Camden.
N. G.
We went here before a gig a the Roundhouse to try out the much-raved Burger & Beyond burgers.
Service was great - the guys were chatty, funny and friendly, creating a nice vibe for the place! Think it'll be a good spot for drinks a bit later on Fridays and Saturdays.
Not 100% sold on the burgers though - a bit greasy. But I am extremely picky. Try the tater tots - they were out of this world!!
D. M.
My daughter and her band hired this venue for their show. The venue itself is perfect for music performances, it has a good size stage, enough room for the crowd and a good little bar. Prices of drinks are a bit overpriced for a camden pub, but not really bothered about that bit. It has a new owner since October. To be honest, I wasn't very happy with his communication skills between my daughters band and himself regarding dress codes and ID. When they booked the venue he should have made his rules and regulations clear, as a lot of their supporters are college friends who were only 16 and didn't all have drivers licence or passports, so were unable to come on the night. But on a whole on the actual event day he was very helpful, and friendly, I just think he may have stereotyped them before actually meeting them unfortunately. Would def recommend this place, it's a nice venue and the staff all do their job well.
J. A.
Love this place, their burgers are just on another level completely and they've always got live music on. Everyone has played here from what i can see which isn't surprising considering what the venue offers and it's location. Music + the best burgers in London. Love it :)
R. T.
Really nice chilled out environment, good drinks selection, really nice snacks/sides available. We were invited upstairs to a small live gig of a few artists also which was really nice. You can easily sit and chill for hours here before going upstairs for some live music. Awesome wall also.
A.
Great little pub/venue, just a short walk away from Chalk Farm tube station, and about a ten minute walk from Camden tube station.
Drinks are about average price for London, cocktails are expensive however.
Upstairs is the venue proper. Small room about 150max so very intimate experience. Bars both upstairs and downstairs so you won't have keep farting back and forth for drinks.
Toilets were surprisingly clean for a pub/music venue.
Worth a visit if your in the area.
J. Y.
Went to the war child concert loved it really nice little place good vibes and a wide selection of drinks.
J. D.
Actually really nice. For some reason I wasn't expecting much, I don't know why. The staff are super friendly and they do table service when they can. I liked the no-nonsense stripped-down beer options (there's a lager, an IPA and a stout) and the decor is cozy and classic (in a hipster speakeasy kind of way)
R. P.
Lovely pub a d music venue. The main bar downstairs has plenty of seating and the bar has a good selection of drinks at prices that are not outrageous. If you smoke it's outside on the pavement.
Upstairs the music venue has its own bar and loos with draught beer also being available unlike many places where it is bottles and cans. The sound is excellent.
H. F.
I was in the Assembly last night. We had a great time. Good fun dancing and all the floors were different to each other. At the end of the night I lost my jacket and the staff were so nice and patient helping me look for it. The manager should be very proud of the staff there. A lovely bunch of people. Exceptional. Thank you!
J. C.
Been here for a few gigs now, small and intimate in the grand scheme of the other local venues.
Door staff are nicer than the average in Camden. Can't remember the guy's name but always asks about your day...and not in a way to suss out how much you've had to drink already.
Tuesday they have a bunch of drink offers available, so be sure to take advantage.
A. C.
I wasn't in the downstairs pub, which looked nice, but upstairs in the small room for gigs. It's an ideal space for small intimate gigs but the acoustics are not great. I would advise standing at the middle-back for best sound as it's not great close to the stage. Has a bar in the room, which is convenient as it means you don't have to traipse downstairs to get a drink.
A. R.
This place is definitely my new fav in Camden. I went there as part of a private booking with some friends and had no intention of eating but once I arrived the menu looked too good to miss out on. The Burger & Beyond burgers are by far some of the best burgers in London, I got the Hot Mess burger which tasted amazing. I also went for the parmesan tots which I highly recommend. Our booking was in the private room on the top floor, an amazing little get away with everything you need. They supply you with karaoke, games and even your own bar. The whole venue had a great atmosphere, would definitely go back.
M. M.
Loved it! This new venue is just what Camden needed to put so oomph back into its live music scene. Way better than the barfly. The downstairs bar is brilliant. Great food and a perfect place to bring a date!
U. E. P.
Great pub went there for some music upstairs enjoyed myself. Female loos are tiny thou

The drinks were nice, concert was great and the place itself was very cosy
S. A. S.
Really like the change from when it was barfly. The live music venue upstairs it way better. Staff are nice too
D. P.
Burger heaven! Went on a Sunday and had such a lovely time! Staff were absolutely wonderful, so kind and friendly! Really great atmosphere, nice people, great beer and of course amazing burgers. You can't go wrong with lucky chip burgers! Chilli cheese fries are also amazing! :)
E. s.
What a great little pub - the staff were super helpful adn friendly and the burgers were aces (as were the sides). I don't expect much in Camden but this really delivered, the only thing that I didn't like it that the pints were all served in plastic glasses and there is a very big breeze that comes in when the door opens due to the layout but will definitely be back!
C. P.
Really small and intimate music venue upstairs, the staff and bouncers are friendly. The music area upstairs also has a bar at the back. The acoustics are great as well and this place has a good vibe.
N.
Great to see live music back at this venue. Saw Violet Haze, Myles Morgan, & Balafre - great show at a great price. Also the service was really good at the bar, not to mention nice beers.
V. B.
Love the atmosphere in this pub, one of the best independent music venues in London upstairs, constantly holding awesome gigs. Great food menu and drinks options and overall awesome vibes.
G. B.
worthy little live music venue works hard to keep it going .. saw the excellent busker charlotte Campbell there
T. M.
Waitress (who looked like P!nk) claimed the burgers were the best in London. I can't prove she's right, but it was certainly amazing! The place is hoping on a Sunday night, great vibe, glad I stopped in!
o.
This is a quirky little place that serves up some seriously delicious burgers and beers. The upstairs music venue has great acoustics and is very intimate. Highly recommended.
M. A.
It's a really cool place to have a beer and some food! The fries for 3£ are the best I've tried in the entire London, they are just delicious. They do cocktails as well, really nice Aperol spritz and espresso Martini! It's not really crowded and close to Camden Station.
E. Z.
Lovely pub with a tonn of atmosphere. Fresh beer. Cool interior deaign, a long walk to amenoties but clean and tidy. The prices are okay for London Camden. No glass pints, only plastic. The kitchen is expensive but delicious there is enough stuff in the menu to munch on. Polite and cute bartender. What's not to love?
S. G.
*First day clubbing* So after finding out that Ice Wharf had closed it's clubbing features, my friend and I wondered around Camden finding a club to go to. My friend suggested that we go to Barfly but didn't know whether I would like the music though I was all down for new experiences and it certainly was a memorable one. Entrance was really cheap (£6) and the bouncer were really nice. The music was mainly old school and house but even if you didn't know some of it, you could still jam to it. The bartenders were really nice and served our drinks relatively quick. It was crowded and there was alcohol spilt on the floor but I dunno, I really liked that type of scene; Seems like a really hyped place. You will sweat a lot because there is a lot of people that go to Barfly bur there's an air vent above a small area of Barfly. There was an upstairs which had a DJ and live music but I preferred downstairs because of the hyped people. Also a warning for the ladies, don't expect guys not to flirt with you, ask you to dance or come up behind you to dance, unless you're with a boyfriend. Overall, brilliant night out with my best friend, couldn't have asked for a better first night out.
S. L.
Very cool little bar! Well made cocktails and fun atmosphere. Limited menu is the only shortcoming, but all drinks are done very well!
M. L.
Beautiful gig of Travis is a tourist in this emblematic pub of Camden where I met his lovely French girlfriend ❤️
C. D.
Lovely venue with great staff, wide array of drinks - IPAs, APAs, lagers etc. The music venue space upstairs is nicely sized and the stage is well lit with great acoustics. Decent food however, vegetarians beware - they only have one veggie item on the menu and it's very expensive.
Z. M.
Nice cosy venue and great place to see some very interesting up and coming acts.
D. B.

I was here with friends on a saturday night. Getting in was a little diffecult because you have to buy tickets online and the queue has big problems with people sneaking in infront of everybody, and the bouncers didn't seem to care. But when we did mange to get inside the DJ did a great job with keeping the dancefloor filled. The drinks is also not that expencive. All in all a nice place to go clubbing in Camden.
S. R.
Very friendly, not what I expected with burly doormen and a youngish clientele,( I'm 59) which proves the old addage not to nudge a book by it's cover. The doormen couldn't have been friendlier, the bar staff were great and quite happy to serve I and my friend at our table. A nice experience.
C. G.
Wicked little bar downstairs and great upstairs live music room! Really cool addition to camden- i recommend heading over even if you don't plan on going to a gig. Lucky Chip burgers too!
J. B.
Really liked the venue, the event itself was properly secured but with friendly guards and staff. The pub area itself is nice and spacious and they open it before the events so it's easy to stop and have a drink or two before seeing your favourite artists.
O. F.
Good venue, good staff. If going to a concert upstairs, you'll enjoy it in the cosy small venue. Drinks reasonably priced for the area and close enough to transport.
N. G.
It's a great place to chill out, relax and party. The staff there are very welcoming and friendly. The food was ok but not amazing. This is the place to go to if you want a great night out and have fun. It's always a lively atmosphere and would recommend this place to anyone.
C. G.
really nice new venue in the old barfly space. the ground floor has been truly transformed in to a really great bar WITH FOOD! and the upstairs space has great sound and lighting and an eclectic mix of new music. i'm look forward to partying here too.
W. D.
Good venue for intimate gigs. Saw the chaps choir here. If you like linen shirts you'll like their shirts. Another outlet from the Colombo group. Good at bookings but the feeling everything is done with money in mind makes venues feel slightly hollow.
C. C.
Good choice of beers, but the burgers are out of this world! Some might say they are Beyond excellent! But genuinely I am positive you will have a fun evening here and the food is great.
D. N.
Really cool place to enjoy good music and drinks. Free (and very loud) concerts if reservation made in advance. Had a really good time here and will definitely be back soon.
J. G.
Great little venue for an up close personal gig.. No real ale through. 😩
c. b.
Nice pub on chalk farm road right in front of camden stables market. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm. Upstairs they rent space for private parties, shows and karaoke. Choice of beers is ok and burgers are very good. Just go easy with sault 😜
V.
Small initmate concert space. No chairs. Semi-stocked bar. Decent concert venue
E. G.
Lovey night out, watched live music there. A girl become unwell and passed out and was great to see how well the staff reacted to support her!
j. m.
We had a couple of drinks before going to the roundhouse and ordered the chillie cheese fries too. Very friendly bar staff, great choice of beers and a very comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely come back again.
S. D.
I have no idea why this place isn't busier. I loved the barfly, but this is our go to spot on Fridays after work now. Some of the best burgers in London from the fantastic Lucky Chip in residence, and a great selection of craft beers and other drinks.
M. V.
I had a great time here, with excellent food and impeccable service. The club room upstairs is also a lot of fun. Definitely worth spending a night here if you're around Camden Town
S. H.
I had a great time! I did love that there is two floors, one first was the band playing rock(they were amazing) and on the other the dj was playing retro music. Not much space but lovely place!
S. J.
Far less grimey than when it was The Barfly. Upstairs sound system seems to have improved and bar staff now friendly rather than sullen. It's probably lost some of its character. It's probably more expensive than it was. I think it's fine if your here for a good band. Downstairs has a DJ that didn't play indie at all. Shame.
G. K.
Really cool venue. Saw the band Fizzy Blood there several days ago and was thoroughly satisfied with their service and the venue they hosted. The stage was well made. The sound was reasonably well managed and the lighting was spectacular.
S. G.
Decent enough pub and fantastic burgers (thanks lucky chip). Often pretty quiet in here and creates an odd ambience sometimes. In saying that, this can be desirable when in good company and you actually want to hear what they’re saying! Few craft beers on tap.
M. T.
I can't comment at all on the downstairs as my journey took me straight up to the top floor where the action seems to happen. I was here to watch a gig by an up and coming band and for that reason alone Barfly gets a star.
It's not the nicest place in the world but it wouldn't feel right if it was. Good layout, very decent sound system and reasonable bar prices means that I'll be back here for another gig as soon as I can!
M. L.
We had 50% off as part of the Time Out deal which made this some of the best value food ever. Even at fill price it's worth the money. Delicious burger and some amazing sides
H. T.
Had a really great time for a friend's birthday. Even when packed, it wasn't as bad getting a drink as many other places. Saturday night music was 90s/00s hip-hop and rnb which was right up my street. There's a club upstairs as well that you should pre-register for!
E. C.
Was here early for a gig to get something to eat and a drink before doors. Really friendly and fun staff. Good food and nice music venue. Thanks
R. S.
I think this is a great place. Good staff that know their beer and the prices are pretty good for craft ale in London. Great place for a few decent beers before the roundhouse
S. D.
I have no idea why this place isn't busier. I loved the barfly, but this is our go to spot on Fridays after work now. Some of the best burgers in London from the fantastic Lucky Chip in residence, and a great selection of craft beers and other drinks.

Nice small intimate music venue
K. M.
Charming little bar, pleasant staff and laid-back environment. Good amount of seating and generally quite chilled out. Good for a few drinks.
D. W.
Well worn venue that serves as a decent venue for indie gigs. Intimate setup upstairs means you get a pretty good view even from the back. Lighting guys can be a bit strobe-happy though.
P. M.
Another great weekend in Camden listening to all types of music at loads of different venues. I take my hat off to the organizers for a great weekend. Well done, and see you next year. 🎩🎩⌚⌚🎤🎸🎺🎵🎶🎻🎹🎷

Overall the ambience was fair to good. The music was a little loud and the people were a bit young, especially the gropy lads with bad coats. We sat in here for 2 hours conducting a social experiment. The results are not that great. That said I would still recommend, the beer is OK, the people not so much.
P. Z.
Place used to be called the Barfly until September 2016. It's had a makeover and major improvement to the atmosphere and crowd. Still has great local bands playing upstairs from 7pm usually.
G. M.
Went to see Mike Skinner and Murkage and it was absolutely amazing. The security guard was ok and the drinks were reasonable. £3 for one Redbull. The toilets are clean and the vibe was great. The queue wasn't too long either. Overall great night.
S. W.
Great bar, great service.
A. A.
Went for the reggaetton night. The ground floor ambience is very nice. I wish the party had been there. Not so keen on the upstairs. Very dark and a bit claustrophobic. It gets pretty hot and we had to take a breathe break every few minutes. Also not keen on most of the music played at the event. RnB is not reggaetton. American artists do not sing reggaetton. With so many good Latin music out there, it was a bit of a shame I didn't hear some of my favorite songs.
Toilets were well maintained.

New opening in Camden and a very welcome addition to London nightlife. This venue has a pub / club feel with impressive lighting and sound system to compliment the diverse music programme- There is something for everyone!
Serving up Lucky Chip burgers (the best) and a good selection of drinks, it's definitely worth getting a bite to eat and some pre drinks in before the gig starts. Cool decor, just look out for the mannequin heads dotted about the venue...
K. M.
Camden Assembly has been updated beautifully- still showing up and coming bands every night through a hefty new PA system but with new club nights at the weekends.
There's burgers available at the bar til late and the selection of drinks has had a massive upgrade- they've even managed to make the toilets nice!
A. R.
Recently visited to see few bands live and I was surprised about sound quality. Five stars for upstairs venue sound quality, you rarely will found in London's! Big thump up.
T. H.
Absolutely class. Staff great. Come here for good time. Tuesday cocktails for a fiver. What more you want? Would go again. Solid. Good stuff.
B. M.
Standard hipster place with a reasonably decent Bloody Mary. Staff were very friendly.
J. F.
Amazing place if your going for a drink upstairs they have live artists performing wich is always fun to watch (if your into hip hop/rap) 10/10 would recommend visiting.
D. W.
Well worn venue that serves as a decent venue for indie gigs. Intimate setup upstairs means you get a pretty good view even from the back. Lighting guys can be a bit strobe-happy though.
C. B.
Great place. friendly staff, friendly people
M. J. S.
Good atmosphere, great staff.
M. G.
Great pub and delicious hamburgers. A friend of mine spilled her beer and the staff couldn't be more friendly. We were offered a new table and a new beer.
M. D.
Good solid bar in Camden, not too pretentious, excellent music venue upstairs whilst you can still just have a drink downstairs the whole night.
M. J.
Nice pub with gig room upstairs...quite small but intimate with great sound, upstairs bar can be slow to get a drink when its packed!
R. L.
If you fancy a beer and a burger you can't go wrong. Great staff, even offering table service, and love music upstairs is always great.
D.
Great open mic night around LE4
Y. B.
Very nice place for a quality hangout with friends after a hard workday. It's awesome to come in and be welcomed as a celebrity - the attitude of the staff is just great. I recommend it to everyone who likes having a good time.
U. B.
Nice little venue with a perfectly "dive bar" feel. In Saturday nights it turns in to a really fun nightclub with cheap entry, affordable drinks, and good DJs. Would recommend
R. M.
Their cheese burgers are sooooo tasty! I don't know about the evening atmosphere here but lunchtime is good especially when you're wandering in the neighbourhood.
S. L.
Great pub situated in the heart of Camden Town. A large choice of lagers real ales and ciders plus plenty of red or white wine to choose from. Close to underground station Chalk Farm on the Northern Line about 10 minutes from Kings Cross, St Pancras.
C. S.
Great tour, lots of samples
G. B.
The upstairs music venue is great but as a pub just average unless you like Lager as couldn't see much choice otherwise which is a shame.
W. F.
Amazing venue to go and watch live music. Small stage and floor but big sound. Decent bar upstairs and downstairs too with great selection of drinks.
R. S.
I think this is a great place. Good staff that know their beer and the prices are pretty good for craft ale in London. Great place for a few decent beers before the roundhouse
A. M.
Awesome venue just north of the Stable Markets. Great sound system and staff. Good selection of draughts and spirits.
M. J.
Good music on both levels, with live music sometimes. Fun atmosphere with a good crowd of people. Reasonably priced entry and drinks. Overall a fun, inexpensive night out, I recommend it!
D. S.
This is hands down my favourite bar in Camden! regular local, love the music and would recommend to others who like the music vibe in Camden- a mix of pop classics, indie and rock.
A. S. I.
MAN the burgers here are top notch. I wish I took a picture! The steamed brioche-style bun was perfection against the greasy cheesy patty (and this was a late dinner too!) Craving right now. The wings weren't that great so pass and go for the double patty. #FATLIFE
D. M.
I don't understand the concept of this place. It has heads on the wall and frames with human organs and anatomy but the menu is very eighties and with the Irish flag. The place has super dim lights and for me is not pleasant to eat with a mannequin head near my table. the music or anything else is not Irish. That for start and the burger was normal. FriesFires normal. Service normal.
C. T.
Great little venue hidden away in Camden, the size is intimate but not to small and the sound is fantastic. Might want to make it easier to find the entrance for the venue though.
D. O.
A rocking little venue near Chalk Farm underground which has a nice atmosphere if you just want to come for a drink, then upstairs there's a dancefloor and stage which plays host to everything from hometown bands just getting started to big names who want to just play an intimate venue. I've seen a good few of my friends' bands' EP launches here and always had a great time.
B. R.
Something of a Camden legend, living off its reputation. Not a boozer to make your local, but upstairs they have excellent bands. Otherwise, drinks are chain lagers in a dingy environment! Go for the music, not much else.
D. D.
This pub is isn't bad...but its nothing special at the same time. Another place that hosts bands and artists. A good place to pre if your making your way to one of the clubs.
G. D.
Great bar that can get pretty crowded, if your there onna frida or saturday night and theres a large rowdy bunch suddenly arrive dont worry there just one of the local pub crawls and will be gone in an hour, great variety of beers and spirits available
S. B.
Love this place! Great gig venue and a really nice atmosphere downstairs in the bar! Definitely worth a visit!
K. M.
Charming little bar, pleasant staff and laid-back environment. Good amount of seating and generally quite chilled out. Good for a few drinks.
M. G.
Cool venue for music.. It's really loud though! You could sit outside and hear every song and being in the same room will leave you with ringing ears. Bring ear plugs just incase.
E. G.
Lovely place....
Staff were friendly even down to the security, just wish there was more choices on the cocktail menu. Oh and the cocktails are a fiver on Tuesdays 🍹 cheers
N. D.
Spent my birthday there went to watch Artful Dodger .The drinks were good staff were friendly only thing to say was the place was a bit over crowded and cramped up .They should extend the space.
J. W.
Great place, good beers, ace interior and lovely staff. Top venue for seeing bands.
Highly recommended.
M. B.
Amazing music is this club, located in the famous neighbourhood of camden. Is quite small but cozy. Bar at the ground floor and venue upstairs. For rock&roll fans!
J. V.
Great sound & light system in the main room 😎🤘
J. C.
Went there for the gig upstairs (great intimate venue) and was blown away by the burger and "messy fries". Incredible food!
Z. g.
Normal prices for London but very nice staff and drinks, while the music venue is white small but creates a very immersive experience for the audience
Y. L.
It's a weird venue. You have to go inside and through the cafe upstairs into the small "dancefloor" and bar. Perfect size for raves and grime sets.
A. W.
Good place for quite drinks in Camden. Upstairs live venue is good. But the toilet door locks need to be updated
s. s.
Great place for drinks socialising with friends.
Upstairs there's good live music. Decent price too.
D. B.
Cool pub with lively atmosphere and comfy sofas.
F. W.
Decent pub, the chicken burger was amazing, if you go make sure you get it. Live music and a club night later on if you want to continue to party.
C. R.
Great night out. Drinks were reasonable to good for prices. Be careful of wet floors throughout the night ( spilt drinks)
M. R.
Good pub can get very busy but all good. A wee bit pricy but lovely atmosphere and outside seating.
c. b.
Great venue to see a brilliant band called naropa
M. J.
Good club nights. Good sound system. Reasonably priced entry and drinks. Bad decor in the pub but you can live with that.
V. 2.
There is never enogh bars in Camden. Quite a busy place with loud music. Good bar upstairs, but only with bottled drinks.
F. J.
Good burgers from Lucky Chip and a great beer selection. Wish they would serve beer in glass instead of plastic glasses. Friendly staff!
v.
Cool venue... good sound upstairs. If a little bass heavy.. good range of drinks
I. M.
Home of the second best burgers in London The Lucky Chip and live gigs featuring up and coming bands in the heart of Camden. What's not to like?
M. F.
Such a nice place and lovely music venue which made the vibes very positive and serene. Would love to come back on my next Camden visit!
S. O.
Excellent venue , quite an intimate performance room ,very nice friendly staff and comfortable pub down stairs. Defo visit here again.
R. L.
Nice little pub.Very busy and the queue was long but the pints were very fresh.Friendly staff and lovely ambience. Will go back
M. B.
Such a great mood and vibe at this bar! The server Jono was so friendly and helpful, definitely recommend coming here!!!
B. B.
Basic menu, but good tasting burgers and tots. The place was a nice, comfortable place to relax on a Wednesday evening.
s.
Just brilliant. Sound quality was great, the band (Wheel) were awesome. An all round great experience.
J.
Saw Lui Peng and James Hersey here last week. Great night. Acts were awesome and the visuals were impressive. One of the better small venues around
C. O.
Best Burgers, perfect place to chill with your mates, any night of the week. The DJ in the bar downstairs is a nice touch too.
E. M.
Tequila Thursday's is an awesome idea - free shot of tequila with every drink. Bar staff were amazing and super friendly too.
A. H.
The bouncer here without prompting or prior knowledge was able to tell/predict that my wife was carrying twins and not only that, but that it was two boys (we didn't even know the sex at that stage).
S. H. (.
Classic live venue, improved on the refurb which is rare these days. Good beer selection, nice atmosphere.
G. B.
The upstairs music venue is great but as a pub just average unless you like Lager as couldn't see much choice otherwise which is a shame.
M. G.
Great pub and delicious hamburgers. A friend of mine spilled her beer and the staff couldn't be more friendly. We were offered a new table and a new beer.
J. B.
Really liked the venue, the event itself was properly secured but with friendly guards and staff. The pub area itself is nice and spacious and they open it before the events so it's easy to stop and have a drink or two before seeing your favourite artists.
S. L.
Great pub situated in the heart of Camden Town. A large choice of lagers real ales and ciders plus plenty of red or white wine to choose from. Close to underground station Chalk Farm on the Northern Line about 10 minutes from Kings Cross, St Pancras.
A. H.
The bouncer here without prompting or prior knowledge was able to tell/predict that my wife was carrying twins and not only that, but that it was two boys (we didn't even know the sex at that stage).
S. B.
Best pub in Camden. Good selection of beers, great music and a cool crowd.
D. B.
R. L.
Nice little pub.Very busy and the queue was long but the pints were very fresh.Friendly staff and lovely ambience. Will go back
R. M.
Loved this place as i got to see a superb band 'Key West'. Service good atmosphere amazing 😁
A. K. D.
I was here with friends on a saturday night. Getting in was a little diffecult because you have to buy tickets online and the queue has big problems with people sneaking in infront of everybody, and the bouncers didn't seem to care. But …
B. E.
A good pub with a music venue upstairs, comfortable seating in the pub, drink prices reasonable , intimate moderate capacity music auditorium with a bar.
R. T. P.
Great music, but still had to queue up even though we got tickets in advance. Still had a great night though!
P. H.
Great venue for live music or simply a drink. Great selection of beers and other drinks 🤘🍻
M. k.
The only reason is the tickets I give it 3 stars, u have to buy them online which is a disappointment but other than that I love the place it's amazing and great vibes
R. C.
Always go here before going to the Roundhouse. Nice people, good service and juicy burgers! Gets busy so get there early!
D. S.

C. S.
Saw the mowglis and the atmosphere was really great, it was a really special gig and pretty much made for the perfect night
T. L.
Great for live music, friendly staff, nice drinks in plastic cups (great for moshpit), only negative no free storage.
G. C.
Distinctly mediocre with expensive drinks. Crowded beyond capacity when we went. Often has a live band upstairs which is a plus.
