Reviews of The Crabtree
S. L.
It’s a child friendly restaurant that makes us pressure free having good time with our baby there.
A lovely place to spend Sunday with family there, good service and tasty meals. Recommend it!

We had a really lovely Sunday roast at the Crabtree in Fulham. Camilla was particularly helpful in assisting us with the menu and provided an excellent service. Thank you.
S. C.
Lovely venue with a huge garden. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long walk by the river. Generous portion of food and very attentive service. Family friendly as we had our little one with us, found them very accommodating. Will definitely return soon. Thank you
T. C.
Our friend incorrectly booked the restaurant instead of the bar area for the quiz. Staff were super helpful to change to we could eat age do the quiz at the same time. Food was very nice and quiz was fun also. I would go back

Wow! Walked here on a Sunday in December 2021, hands down the best Sunday roast ever. Meat was so tender with all the trimmings perfectly cooked. Staff were super helpful making for an amazing day. Pub has a lovely warm interior with a sizeable beer garden complete with heaters. Well done to all the Crabtree team, you made our day!
R. B.
Good food though the fish and chips could be enhanced with proper mushy peas and a higher fish to batter ratio on the fish. Enjoyed the local youngsters getting battered on shots on a Friday night. Proper order!
M. A. D.
Very pleasant pub that is very popular with Fulham fans before and after home games at Craven Cottage. As an away supporter I have felt comfortable here when visiting Craven Cottage which you don't often get in many home fans pubs
N. B.
Hadn't booked, was really made to pay for that with absurd 2 line queing process that literally tried to make you feel like like a 2nd class citizen while the concierge scoured the street for those who had booked and uneccesarily making those without booking wait. Took so long for each admission, this wasn't due to covid registration, but the man just walking away for 5 mins at a time between guests. I was even able to enter, go to the toilet and exit again before he even realised, so much for security! So his needs to be addressed as we very nearly walked away, It felt extremely arrogant behaviour. Food and location outside absolutely saved a 1 star review happening, but service was grumpy from a young lady waitress, and food and exceptionally good chardonnay made us happy.
A. C.
Amazing food and dessert. Friendly service and good measures in place to help with the pandemic. Indoor seating area and two outdoor seating areas - the one by the river is very lovely, with flowers, hanging lights and a massive willow tree above it.
Can get very busy at times, so online booking is recommended.
P. W.
Went for a lovely Sunday roast with some friends and had a great time! Camilla served us and she was very attentive. We will definitely visit again.

The Crabtree is one of my favourite pubs on the riverside and I wouldn’t normally bother to write a review but our waitress Camilla was great. So friendly and helpful. Would also recommend the roast pork for Sunday lunch!
M. M.
Nice gastropub in Fulham, superb staff! I had this amazing baked Camembert as a starter to share and a Chicken Sunday roast. Perfect choice for a sunny Sunday!
D. M.
Superb location, excellent service, great food! The garden is beautiful and the stuff was so friendly, will be going there again and again!

The Crabtree is a popular riverside pub about 15 minutes walk east of Hammersmith bridge on the north side of the river. It has a large outdoor seating area which is very popular in the summer but it's busy throughout the year. The Crabtree is very popular with families at the weekends during the day and popular with people in their 20s and 30s during the evening. It's not a 'working class boozer' it caters to the well heeled residents of the surrounding streets and it's riverside location attracts passing trade from those who are out for a walk.
The food is probably best described as 'top end mid-market I wouldn't go there to eat but if I was there, (as I was) I'd had a couple of pints (as I had) I'd have a bite to eat (as I did).
K.
Well done everybody. A packed house and a stunning day and you handled it brilliantly. So comfortable and the food was fantastic. Nice wines. Few delays with drink orders but overall a fabulous afternoon.
S. S.
Lovely place. We had a lovely dinner this week and the manager who greeted us was so very pleasant.
The waiter who looked after our table was knowledgeable and charming.
Food was delicious. Would definitely come back again.
C. G.
I wished I came here before. The pub has everything you could wish for in a pub, is cozy, lots of drinks, large tables, spacious and comfortable to spend an evening waiting for a Fulham game. Can't wait to be back, specially during holiday season, The Crabtree it looks and feels like a pub out of a movie
T. L. G.
Very busy on a Sunday so best to book before or arrive early. They provide a nice selection of roasts and vegetables as well as a very wide selection of drinks. Portions are very generous. Great place to visit when walking from Fulham to Hammersmith as it is located just off the Thames Path.
A. M.
Absolutely great venue for a drink or quick munch.
Looked after when we arrived until the point we left.
Food was delicious and exquisitely cooked. Best steaks this side of the river.
Knowledgeable staff and enthusiastic as it gets.
I'll will almost definitely be back.
These steaks are delicious.
The sides which you have to add on. Are totally worth your time. The dauphinoise are the best side going right now.
I'll almost definitely be bringing back the what we can there.. Even my friend enjoyed the poussin.
We'll be back. Thanks To Julie for looking after us.
See you soon.
A. O.
My God this is a really nice place!
Everything was good...the drinks, the food, the service and the outdoors space.
Please try the triple something something dripping something chips (sorry I forgot the name) These are the best chips you'll have.
The only thing that was off today was the bread that came with the Camembert starter because it was too hard!!! If I could upload videos I would show you how the bread sounds like rock hitting the table 😂... (however try this Camembert, you'll thank me since it comes wrapped in filo dough!).
N. V.
Went over for dinner last weekend the food was amazingly delicious, I was served by a lovely waitress called Alyssa, she was full of enthusiasm so kind and was very well taken care of by her, amazing service from her!! The atmosphere is very sweet, by the river side beautiful views, Would definitely recommend going again!
n. e.
Warm welcome, lovely staff and great food! What more could you want, will definitely be back again soon.
W. H. V.
Great pub for Sunday Roast! Camilla was superb and had fantastic wine recommendations. Would highly recommend the seats with the view
C. E.
Food is good. The tempura crab doesnt taste like crab, not sure if it's worthy. It's a lovely place, food really good, great amount of cocktails but the toilet looks like a low quality pub. Wet floors, no regular cleaning
S. F.
Went last Sunday and was served by Camilla, who was absolutely amazing! Told the funniest stories, she made my day! Great staff, great atmosphere
G. W.
Great pub near Craven's cottage. Great vibe, pints where flowing. Deserves the proper pub title.
R. B.
Great visit! Enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. We loved meeting Camilla who was very friendly and gave great recommendations!
j. n.
Nice pub. Good selection of beers and ales. We went on a Saturday night after football. Floor was very sticky! We were just about to go and then a band turned up... we couldn’t stay sadly! Looked like they might have been good.
M. D.
Nice place to stop in after a match at Craven Cottage. Solid selection of taps. Didn't eat, but the chips coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing.
J. L.
Went last Sunday and had the most excellent service from a staff member called Camilla - she was really attentive and super cheerful! Would definitely go again
N. C.
This was a last minute decision to drop in to Crabtree for Sunday dinner, while the restaurant indoors was understandably fully booked they were able to seat us outdoors. Obviously be warned that in the areas that are not covered there are no extra heaters so after a while you're going to get cold! I think eating a meal outside also meant the food got cold quicker which isn't anyones fault but I think because the Sunday roasts we both ordered appeared to be reheated rather than freshly cooked the food's heat dropped even quicker. The pork belly was pleasantly seasoned, the roast beef was already cooked to well done. Roast potatoes were a bit tough, and the carrots and parsnips quite soggy, the copious amounts of brussel sprouts were great but was swimming in a lot of gravy. I would like to go back to see if the food is nicer earlier in the day for a roast but maybe try something else! Cant fault the staff for following all covid procedures and they were very attentive, although drink orders seemed to get lost in the ordering system..
M. T.
Lovely spot right by the river with a good selection of Belgium beers
A.
We came here on a Thursday evening at 17:30 and stayed until about 21:00. The actual pub is great. All of the outside seating, which is covered and has heaters, gives a nice feel to the place.
The staff are nice but they do not deliver good service. We had 3 separate people try and take our first order, and then were ignored for awhile afterward by all 3. The person who delivered the food to us looked like she wanted to be anywhere else. The system is convoluted which certain menus only able to be used in certain seating areas.
The food is okay. Standard pub food with added price tag.
It all points to bad management papered over by the fact the pub is in a great location so will still make money.
J. A.
Nice pub, but went yesterday (a Saturday) and they'd closed off the outside area along the river unless you were eating, or perhaps for a function. Bit of a shame as that was the main reason for visiting.
R. B.
Amazing pub with the loveliest staff. Incredible food, great drinks options and a friendly atmosphere, prices are good for the area and for the quality of food, drink and service.
P. D.
Food was excellent even with my specific requests, was very pleased with Camilla’s service, she was kind and attentive to my requests, I had a lovely time, thank you
N. C.
Had a great lunch out on the terrace. Great food, amazing service and river views. What more can you ask?
J. S.
Great, friendly staff, the breakfast was good and of course they have a solid range of brews!
J. D.
Love the food. A bit crowded sometimes but the food is worth.
We will stop by as many times as we can
M. M.
Not so much of a river view. Roast was average but desserts were nice and original and waiter was really charming too.
M. H.
Great atmosphere and view of the river, but food was average for the price.
C. M.
Great pub on the river. So glad to have it back open and was very happy to return this week for lunch in the garden. All really well organised - easy booking system online, garden set up perfectly for social distancing, with wooden and glass panels between tables, comfy chairs and cushions, with excellent heaters. And still with the same great, attentive, friendly service and excellent food. Thank you. Will be back again soon.
C. A.
Great food, fast service and excellent drinks menu
A. J.
Some of the best food I have had in a pub!
5 stars to the management, staff and chef! ...and the vegan crumble was the best!!
Thank you for having it on the menu and not leaving us with sorbet like the others.
Great service Daniel
C. C.
Great pub by the River!
The terrace is absolutely dreamy. Perfect for lunch or dinner or even drinks in the evening by the River.
The food is mostly good. Have had good and bad. The burger is definitely a hit, with very good chips.
Kids menu is fine too! That dish with waffle, chicken and maple gravy really didn't convince me. But they have many other good dishes to chose from. And the fondant au chocolat is actually really good 👍🏻
R. H.
Ate here before a Fulham match. Had sea bass. Good restaurant with plenty of space and good service.
M. M.
Nice pub on the Thames path between Putney and Hammersmith bridge. Bright, clean inside, plenty of outside terrace spaces. Had a nice seared tuna.
All in all a very pleasant experience.
P. P.
Nice place by the river. Fulham fans come in if there's a game on, but they're all quite civilised
G.
Managed to book a table at the very last second.
Staff very accommodating. Nice atmosphere, good crowd generally. Food and drinks good and not too pricey.
M. M.
Quick dinner with the family at the crabtree. Good pub food and excellent service. Traditional pub with a good atmosphere.
r. h.
Nice drinker, quick service and very nice staff. Wifi excellent.
G. S.
The first experience of this pub, which is very popular with Fulham Folk of Note..was none too clever with staff having forgot the order, the menu that was meant to be issued at the applicable time of day and two dinners were served at separate times.
It would be difficult to find a pub with prettier riverside views. This bar is fortunate in being positioned in a spot where outside eating is accompanied by a view to aid digestion. This is why it is as it is price wise. There is the lunchtime option however...
J. B.
Great location, good choice of beers, friendly staff, reasonably priced food..Top stuff
a. L.
Great pub, top food and a really great atmosphere. Staff are always super attentive as well. Also, it's a banging location.
G. B.
Good pub. Decent food. Nice staff
S. B.
Had a great day with friends for my birthday food was delicious and drinks were flowing
M. S.
Excellent burgers, and a good (if kooky) selection on draught (Beavertown and Northern Monk are excellent). The only downside is the price, but I suppose it is in keeping with the area. It can also get v busy pre match, so make sure you book...
COYWs!
D. W.
Great riverside location and range of lagers, ales and ciders. Although be warned - the riverside tables are next to a large willow tree, so it is impossible to really get much of a view of the river. Be aware that the main meals are on the expensive side (£14+). There is an outdoor food truck style shack as well as the main dining room.
S. S.
Really nice location. Right on the river. Big beer garden. No table service still
k. j.
Amazing food, great prices, amazing service.
G. C.
Lovely pub out on the River in Fulham. Great outdoor space with lots of screens for those you like the sports. Food is also of great quality and in very generous quantity.
P. N.
Worth visiting, nice food and relatively quick service. Only star down because of prices.
M. L.
Best pub in town! Beautiful Thames views, nice terrace, rooftop... The food is amazing and the staff is young and nice.
M. L.
This pub is excellent! Worth a trek or plan as a reward for a riverside walk. Huge space and loads of seating. Staff are friendly, beers are served quickly. Massive beer garden space with out-housing built to supply decent pub grub!
You won’t be disappointed turning up here.
-.
Food was very delicious and although busy, our service was prompt. Beautiful views over the river just outside the pub.
E. R.
Great location and beautiful pub. Nice staff and food.
A. C.
Fantastic food and certainly Fantastic service. Will go again
N. B.
This place is always good.. nice crowd, good atmosphere. Queuing at the bar used to be a problem, I think they've solved it and the food is brilliant
D. X.
Great great traditional pub by the river, good selection of beers, excellent food. The place is beautiful and cozy, lots of seating outside, great staff
M. G.
Great location close to the Thames, very pleasant pub.
R. W.
It's a good spot, nice atmosphere with outside tables. Most of the staff are very friendly & helpful. It is expensive - adding service to drinks despite mandated table service is a bit cheeky, making some pints £7+!
E. H.
My first positive review of The Crabtree! We had lunch in the garden and were impressed with the distancing, the measures the pub have put in place to keep us safe, the staff wearing masks, one use paper menus or menus via app. Food was excellent, except the watermelon salad (please review that!!)
Perhaps put paper towels and soap in the men's loo too?
Special thanks to Zach and Richard who were positively professional and friendly. THANK YOU!
L. Y.
Great roast dinner, nice atmosphere, and huge outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine
M. A.
My favourite roast! Love coming here - food and service is great. Love that they are dog friendly too. Looking forward to being back soon!
S. G.
Nice staff, good drinks, lovely outdoor seating
G. B.
Great location, would be a favourite but service always a bit on the slow side!
S. C.
Great beer garden right on the river in Hammersmith. I’d recommend to anyone on a nice sunny summer day.
G. C.
The food is a bit pricey for what you get, but the beer garden is nice.
G. d. S. L.
This place has a unique charisma, set in a very peaceful area and in the riverfront.
The beer offer and menu are great. There's a burger shack and a patio inside, besides a terrace which is river facing (although with limited view).
Cleanliness of the river facing area could be better (it's right under a tree).
D. M.
Lovely pub and wasn't too crowded for a Friday night. Excellent service, great food.
K. F.
Booked for Sunday roast
Setting great
Asked twice for condements - salt never received - gave up
Meat chewy - knives blunt. Charred cabbage might have been good if I could cut through
Potatoes no flavour and could have been cooked a little more looked pale and a bit firm
Food just slight warm
Honestly average food had better
Again drinks had to ask twice and waitress
Just said oops - after we had tried to catch their attention
Rather disappointed - appreciate outside they were quite busy inside not so...
L. e.
Best Sunday roast beef 🍖
Amazing and friendly Staff
Especially the Italian Sebastian who made our experience unforgettable.
Hope to be back soon 😁
C. O. C.
One of our locals. Excellent pub. Managed beautifully. Wonderful food. I dropped my phone on the Thames path a few weeks algo and it was handed in to the Crabtree and they went out of their way to return it to me. Thank you.
T. B.
Lovely pub with amazing outdoor seating. Staff is super friendly and welcoming and they defo look after you well.
M. G.
My wife and I had a great time along with couple of friends.
Excellent service, friendly staff and amazing food. If you live nearby it is a pub to enjoy with friends or even yourself.
D. H.
Nice outdoor seating. Food is fine. Service is friendly, but slow.
Worth a drink in the garden.
L. R.
A great local pub. Family friendly. Have a great selection of drinks and the food is delicious. It's a bit more upmarket but always leave happy. Indoor and outdoor area. Good selection of kids menu. Amazing Sunday roast lunch.
P. W.
Lovely location and outside seating.
Easy parking at the weekend.
Food was nice but not memorable.
C. T.
Amazing the food and drinks amazing and all the staff are so welcoming especially Daniel, Sam, Sam's bro, onya but I think I spelt that wrong literally coming again and would 100 percent recommend 😀
P. L.
At least you pay for quality food..Always happy to support local businesses
S.
A really great experience. Went for dinner on a quiet Thursday evening. Every one of the team were so friendly and attentive. Something rare in ‘pubs’. I really appreciated how the guys asked the chef about Vegan options and even making me my own vegan version of a dessert. Brilliant service!
P. K.
Not been here for a while, they've changed the seating, I sat by the door entrance to the inside. Unfortunately I got stuck there due to heavy traffic nearby (Should of left earlier!!!) but I was looked after by a blonde waitress who was very attentive and helped me with my taxi, Thankyou very much, see you soon.
F. B.
Had a lovely lunch and drinks on the river terrace - great food and nice atmosphere. Wanted to give a shout out to our waiter (unfortunately don’t know his name- blondE hair and tattoos) he was really friendly helpful and attentive!
F. T.
Nice food, amazing beer garden, stunning location ( by the river) , reasonable prices and they have taken all measures to avoid spreading the virus. Definitely one of my favourite pubs in London!
P.
Fantastic spot with really good food. The beer garden looked very inviting but it had been booked for a private function. I believe there is a BBQ (or some similar food type activity) on a Sunday but was unfortunately not around to give that a whirl. The walk along the river side is quite popular and highly enjoyable when the weather is nice.
J. M.
Nice pub good atmosphere especially on sport days but what is wrong with women toilet?! It always flooded with water, wet floor looking really dirty. Could be because of the hand driers have no trays underneath to keep water off the floor? Or just no one look after through out the day. Disappointed
P. G.
Really enjoyable place with a massive beer garden open on the Thames. Really nice place to have a beer on a sunny day.
B. K.
Large outdoor space makes social distancing easy
Really nice experience here even in the rain as staff provided large umbrellas to sit under. Service was however a tad slow hence knocking a star off but I'm sure these guys will get it sussed over time!
H. H.
Excellent pub service, lovely staff! 👌
L. V.
Such a nice vibe and great food
S.
We picked up fish and chips last night during lockdown. We both thought it was the best fish and chips we’ve ever had (better than Rick Stein) 😊 glad that you’re able to at least offer some take away during lockdown
M. D.
Lovely pub in front of the river with plenty of space inside and outside. The interiors are nice and welcoming and there is a good selection of beers and wines. The food is tasty and well presented but the staff can be sometimes rude and dismissive, especially when it is very busy. That is the only reason for my not giving a 5 stars
R. F.
Great Gastro Pub. Food and service really good. Nice location by the river too.
C. W.
The pub has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are extremely friendly. The drinks are good value for money and the staff are always happy to help. It’s a place I always feel welcome in. The food is also very good.
C.
Nice location, nice pub for an after-work drink with friend. However the food selection could be a bit more diverse. The vegetarian and vegan option are very limited.
A. M.
Beautiful building and views of the river.
Great choice of food and drink
G. F.
One of the best pubs in London. Great venue by the river which ample outdoors space. Inside is very pretty and and a fantastic place to spend hours and hours in the winter. Good food and a great selection of beers. And good spot to watch the Boat Race!
K. T.
Great pub with excellent outdoor seating areas, close to the riverside. Only had a couple of beers before short walk to FFC stadium. Great for away supporters, but quite busy!
C. R.
One of my favourite pubs in London, the beer garden is huge and great in the summer. The restaurant food is top quality pub food. Couldn't ask for a better location too.
D. A.
Went to Crabtree with my disabled nephew who is wheelchair bound and with some friends to have a drink & lunch. Absolutely lovely place by the river, with plenty of room, wheelchair access, good food & drinks and very friendly staff. We all had a very enjoyable time and will visit again soon.
T. S.
The food was good, but your staff were extremely rude. No service mind at all. She kept rushing us to order food when we told her a couple of time that we were not ready. Would definitely not return!!
S. P.
Really nice. Social distancing. Sitting in a garden. Ate a scotch egg and hot camembert. Would recommend it.
N. C.
Lovely riverside pub. Simple food is average at best. Chicken was cooked ok with a drizzle of bar b q sauce yet they have a grill. It could have smoked & amazing but sadly not. Wine extremely average & pricey. So many amazing wines out there that are cheap & bring a wow factor.
Staff seemed quite nice. 5* location but seriously lacking quality. This shouldn't deter you from a visit though. Fantastic beer garden.
C. W.
First time visit
Just popped in for a quick drink
Very enjoyable
Will return soon for sunday lunch
S. T.
Went for lunch on weekday, took almost 1h to be served. Steak and Club sandwich are good portions but nothing special. Steak was hard to shew. Salmon had way too much salt, not very balanced. Is just the atmosphere that makes up for the place. Probably you'll be better off just having drinks.
E. I.
Great pub to rest and read a book in a sunny afternoon. You don't even need to buy anything to sit in the garden next to the pub.
J. B.
Visited this establishment twice while I was visiting London and each time was more enjoyable than the previous time. It is a popular place after Fulham football games at Craven Cottage which is about 5 blocks away. After the game the place was packed but we found a table in the dining room. Had a meat pie, another person had the fish and chips and another had Guinea fowl. All were excellent as was the staff. Great selection of English ales and craft beers. Definitely will go here the next time I'm in London.
M. S. W.
One of my favourite pubs in London. There is a good selection of beers, including a few ales which I particularly enjoy. The garden with a view of the Thames is a great plus of this pub. The meat and halloumi burgers were also very tasty. The pub is also quite spacious and has a great atmosphere
M. M.
Good food... and service for a match day... Great outdoor area.
G. Z.
After 1year visited this place, even that I live close by but it wasn’t one of my favourite places but I changed my mind completely as I went there again on Sunday and the atmosphere + food was amazing also the reason why I love it more and felt so comfortable was one of the girl (staff) called Mariah ( sorry if I spelled your name wrong) she was so lovely, friendly and one of the most polite people which made me feel so good to be back there.
I will definitely come back often. X
K. R.
really lovely pub by the river. if it's a nice day go for the outside seating. we went there for the boat race which was a great day. they had little pop up food and bar tents. if going on the boat race day make sure to get there early to get a good table.
L. L.
Great little pub! Has a well-equipped outdoor seating area and the service was great!
S. S.
Excellent pub with lots of delicious food and drinks to talk about. The guys have the perfect set going on there - even from the beginning we were welcomed warmly and seated almost immediately. The ambiance inside is wonderful and I felt really relaxed to talk freely and have fun.
L. C.
One of my favourite pubs in the area. Always thought the food here was excellent and there's a lovely outside area that's perfect for summer days. Would recommend trying to book in advance as can get quite busy!
S. R.
Great pub. The staff are a little unhelpful but worth a visit especially in the summer as the outdoor area is fab. Just dont expect the food options to be easy as there seems to be lots of menus and only certain areas for each one 😫
P. H.
One of my favourite pubs and roasts. Really pretty pub with good food. Recommend if you’re in the area.
A. D.
Excellent fish and chips. The fish was cooked on point, the batter was light and crispy, and the chips were fat, tasted of potato and twice cooked. The service was friendly and efficient. We went Wednesday lunchtime.
J. P.
There's something about this pub that makes it good... I don't know what it is, and to be fair most of the times I have been here, I have arrived and left smashed off my face, so quite it's difficult for me to recall. I'd say you can't really go wrong for an evening out if you end up here. It's a nice traditional pub with nice traditional pub food. I'd go again, but only if I get invited. I think you should go, and you should ask me to come along.
M. K.
Such a charming place! I always come here for dessert, sticky toffee pudding is a must! The ambience is so cozy and nice, perfect for anything, super nice staff and good value for price, totally recommended!
S. P.
Best roast I've had in years. I've been twice now, had a different roast both times and they've been great - massive, delicious and served quickly, even when busy. It's in a great setting on the Thames Walk and all that, but really, the roasts.
J. F.
Love the Crabtree for its location, atmosphere, fantastic food and brilliant staff. Have been here many times!! Only thing that constantly lets it down (and I have alerted staff) is the ladies toilets are always a mess! Water gets splashed everywhere from the poorly designed sinks leading to a slippery tiptoe to the stalls. Really wish this issue would be sorted out as it’s really quite unpleasant! Nonetheless I’ll still be returning 👍
R. G.
Good gastro pub, with an outside barbecue, restaurant and outside restaurant tables too. Also serving food in the bar - but they could distribute staff better to ensure bar table customers aren't losing out on service. Took them a while to do that on our visit.
Buzzy, with knowledgeable and friendly staff, and great food, the Crabtree is on quite a boring bit of the River but makes good use of it's location. Decent wine list too - our waiter knew his stuff there too.
Worth a visit.
R. C.
Amazing beer garden, as well as space by the river for a drink. BBQ is summer is great quality. Although bring your wallet, as the drinks can be super expensive (although worth it for the summer experience)
M. B.
Great value for money at this lovely spot next to the Thames in Fulham. Plenty of space outside and inside. The salmon dish far exceeded my expectations, the waffle with strawberries dessert comes recommended.
T. A.
An excellent pub, great outdoor area, staff were really good.
D. P.
Very noisy. Would be nice on the terrace
S. W.
We had dinner at dining area. Really great service with amazing food. Admittedly we were there, because it was a great location to meet our friends, but we were all very happily surprised by how good the food was. Fish and chips were topnotch!!
T. M.
Great atmosphere, amazing food and fantastic service. Anna and Gosia were brilliant. Will be back
R. H.
Quite lovely on a summer's evening if you can get a table overlooking the river sunset underneath the willow. Also fab for autumn Sunday lunch, service now excellent. Feel lucky to have this for a local!
M. C.
Fantastic service
Banging beef
Pretty good range of beers
Roast potato game needs improving
Crumble could also do with some work
E. C.
Large pub in picturesque riverside setting. Sunday lunch is good with varied gastropub menu. In the summer they have a huge BBQ outside- the only downside is it gets very crowded. Once a month they do a comedy evening, which is hit and miss but very good value at £6 a ticket.
C. D. P.
We had high expectations on the Sunday Roast because of the high price but it was well below average. Very small portions and the beef was chewy. Good Yorkshire pudding though. My friend had a fish cake which was ridiculously small too. Service was ok, we were badly treated at the beginning because we didn't have a reservation but after talking to the manager all went smooth. We will come back to try the outside BBQ which seems to be the highlight of the pub.
C. D. J.
Went for a wedding, the staff was fabulous.
B. W.
Went there on a Sunday afternoon with some mates. Food was pretty average considering the price was on the upper end of what you would pay for a Sunday Roast. The Chicken was so small it was comical. Service was atrocious. After we ordered a round of drinks it took on average 20 minutes for them to arrive, and it wasn't even that busy. Would not recommend it for food and will not be going back for Lunch. Maybe OK if you want just a drink ....... But order at the bar and avoid the service charge which is so not worth it.
H. H.
Good pint selection, a little expensive but worth it for the huge outside seating area. Right on the river on a quiet street just along from the river cafe. All in all, decent pub.
H. R.
I love this place. I've been coming here since I moved into the area. Great outside garden and a good selection of beers.
F.
Could make more effort with the seating rather than the classic pub benches since it has such a nice outdoor area. Food is OK but location is great when the weather is nice.
C. G.
Food was good, portion size was amazing
S. J.
We had an amazing time ! Food was amazing and so were the guys who looked after us would recommend the crab starter and the lamb rump main we will definitely be back thanks for a good night guys 😊
T. C.
The Crabtree was a local favourite of mine when I used to live in Barons Court. I hadn't visited for a long time, but went along recently and saw that it had lost none of its charm. In fact it's gotten much better. The service, the food and the atmosphere are exactly what you'd hope for in such a beautiful riverside setting. I can't understand how this only has a review of 4.0?
D. H.
*4.5
Pros: This is a lovely, proper pub in a well-placed location on the river. Tasty food, sizeable portions with a good mix of creative and traditional, good beer and wine selection, lots of indoor and outdoor space that is well done and recently refurbished.
Cons: Pricey (mains run £15-22), a bit remote if coming from outside Hammersmith & Fulham
C. R.
This is one of the best bars in Fulham. Really lively beer garden in Summer. BBQ outside in the beer garden. Good atmosphere close to the river. Food is a little bit overpriced, but atmosphere makes up for it.
D. H.
The food is amazing although pricey. They have a good selection of drinks, screen to watch games and a beautiful riverside terrace. On busy days , service is a little bit over their capacity, but that is understandable.
N.
Love their outdoor space. Good food, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
J. D.
Great food, great people and friendly staff
G. G.
A large riverside pub with excellent service and a choice of dining options from a BBQ in the garden to Sunday roasts and a well chosen selection on the là carte menu. Friendly service and occasional live entertainment add to the charm.
A. R.
First time visiting The Crabtree and was very impressed by the service. The food was lovely and it has a nice atmosphere , the staff were polite and friendly. Would highly recommend.
B. H.
Nice choice of Beers, great atmosphere on match days good mix of home and away fans, always well behaved.
Food very expensive.. Burger and chips £16! Even by London prices that's over priced..
L. E.
Lively pub on the banks of the river Thames.
R. S.
Not bad, limited menu but tasty good service
P. C.
Excellent location beside the river on the boat race stretch of the river. Great ambience. Food is outstanding. Service good and friendly. Popular spot and not surprising that it is. Well worth’s visit.
W. C.
Great beer, perfect for a hot day on the river. The outdoor seating is food only but around the corner there’s a great spot to stand and enjoy a pint over looking the river and the Harrods warehouse.
B. J.
Good pub. Never had a problem with the food from the kitchen, always very good. Food from the bbq isn't as good, rolls were dry and it wasn't as good as it could be. Great outside area though, and eating from the kitchen next to the river can't be beat.
P. R. A.
Lovely put next to the river but the food is very expensive although the quality the food is excellent and the staff is very friendly
L. T.
Lovely summery pub. Very busy but they have really managed to pack in the seating so we still managed to find somewhere to perch. The bbq smelt amazing! Didn't get to try but maybe next time! Will definitely be back!
A. J.
Pleasant pub on Thames Riverside, serving quality hot meals in bar, dining room or outside terrace, large portions, mains include pie and mash of the day, fish and chips, excellent vegan burger! Dogs welcome in bar...
A. K.
I'll look forward to returning to this lovely garden when the service side irons out the kinks that make a simple pint a marathon of waiting, waiting..
T. A.
We regularly visit The Crabtree because of its beautiful waterside location and great food and drinks. But on our most recent visit with a group of friends, our server, Paul, was exemplary. Friendly service can be difficult to come by in London, so Paul's eagerness to help and friendly demeanor made our experience all the better. If you're looking for a pub and restaurant with a fantastic garden and exceptional service, look no further than the Crabtree!
J. P.
Nice local pub with an attractive location near the water. Good food and plenty of space. Lovely garden with lots of seating and BBQ in summer. Doesn't sparkle, but does its thing very well indeed.
M. S.
Very nice pub. I like that it's located appropriately and I have a great view from my table. The atmosphere is authentic and you can even forget about the outside world when you're having a drink inside.
N. S.
What the place offers in visuals it lacks in food quality, average service and priciness. The waiting staff seems to make an effort but what I can only presume is the manager in a black shirt was being quite loud in telling them off/giving them orders. A bit more professionalism would bump this up to a 4*.
J. L.
We went for Sunday lunch. The bloody mary and pork roast were delicious and very reasonably priced. The Yorkshire was a little flabby and the crackling was a bit burnt but everything else was perfect (and left me too full to eat those anyway!).
L. V.
Cozy pub with a massive garden where crowds gather in sunny days. Good variety of beers and drinks. Could do with a bit more staff on weekends, especially on peak times.
A. G.
Nice pub and nice service at the dining room.
Big pubs with outdoor garden and nice quality food.
Many choices between beers, wine and other alcoholic drinks.
I definitely Recommended.
L. A.
More of a pub atmosphere than restaurant. Yet, the outdoor seating is nice and the food is decent.
C. R.
Excellent are only visiting this area of London and'found' this pub on Google. We had an excellent Sunday lunch. I'd definitely recommend to anyone reading this review.
d. P. H.
Excellent spot, with great choice of drinks, food is always well considered and tasty! It’s really stepped up over the last year or so!! Definitely one of my favourites in W6!
P. M.
Bit perplexed of the good reviews of food. Had the double cheeseburger. Overdone and £14. Asked for medium rare - answer: "It's not company policy to serve less than medium/well done" - that put me of straightaway. Burgers far far better at GBK/Meat Liquor etc..Shame a lot of pub chains have gone down this nanny state approach. If you don't trust the meat you buy - don't sell it!!! Some how the French can mange to serve burgers even rare no problem without killing their customers....shame as pub and beer is nice, but given the burger experience won't be trying any of the more expensive stuff...shame but put of by their pub chain approach to it..
G. A.
Fantastic pub by the river and a great place to meet friends and go for a drink in Hammersmith. The prices are as you would expect for a London pub. The food is good and well priced, in the summer they do a barbecue outside. The pub quiz is also a good laugh with a reasonable bar tab as a prize.
L. L.
Best white bait salad but hard to get a table always booked
K. W.
Fabulous Riverside pub, and wonderful food. I booked this for our department Christmas meal, and we were well looked after the whole afternoon and evening. Absolutely recommend!
M. L.
Great pub right by the river, with huge outdoor seating and also packed on Sundays, friendly and welcoming staff. However way too overpriced for average food.
R. M.
This pub has a great outdoor terrace: when the weather is nice the atmosphere here is great. And when it is not, the food inside is a sufficient argument to visit the pub.
Plus, the area around the Thames is really nice, so it is a great choice to go for a walk from the Putney Bridge to the Hammersmith Bridge (or the other way around) and stop by The Crabtree for a drink or food.
M. S.
Been here a few times now, I just love it. This time I had roast beef with a side of roasted cabbage. Very nice
K. S.
Good squash gnocchi, ok veggie burgers but not great. Staff is friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is good. Strong Negronis.
D. C.
Lovely setting right on the river, but you pay for the setting. Try to grab (or reserve) a table in the setion right at the rivers' edge, some others are set back in a nice but less exciting beer garden. There's a nice selection of beers and gastropub food.
The food's really pricey though, and for the money you could find much nicer food elsewhere in London. But then you wouldn't be right on the river! So if you want the setting, it's a good option. Right on the Thames path for nice walks pre- or post- pub.
C. J.
Best boat race ever! Next year again and again!
C. C.
Great beer garden, amazing atmosphere, superb BBQ burgers and lovely staff. Will be back soon!
G. A.
Oh my, now this is a find. Granted, it may be a short stroll from the River Cafe and Fulham, but you wouldn't necessarily expect to find this delightful a pub for a sunny afternoon residing in a rather anonymous Hammersmith backstreet. And yet there it sits, right by the Thames, complete with a large, spacious beer garden and a barbeque.
The inside isn't too shabby either, with plenty of space and a nice variety of drinks. Granted, due to its location, it's not a surprise to see Made In Chelsea style people amongst the clientele, but there's equally a nice number of locals and families and the vibe is friendly.
However, while this place is ideal for a summer drink or equally to hole up in during the winter, I'm less than convinced by the food. There is a separate BBQ and bar menu to the more classy Thames dining section, but for the quality it does seem a little overpriced. Maybe a reflection of the area, but if you knocked a couple of quid off the burgers, I'd say this pub would be just about right.
b. p.
Good food, good beer, friendly staff...
E. G.
Great food, lovely terrace and friendly staff
N. M.
Perfectly situated along the Themes this traditional pub has a lot of charm. Nice place for drinks, particularly on a lazy Sunday in the lovely garden, but the food is overpriced for what it is.
F. G.
Great spot near the river. Have been on numerous occasions as conveniently it’s on the way home from work. Not the cheapest drinks wise but ok for 1 or 2
S. M.
Lovely pub in Hammersmith. Good selection of drinks on offer and the food is decent. The real ace up this places sleeve is it's outdoor area.
P. G.
Fantastic place especially with a good weather. The little outside area along the river is just beautiful. I’ve been bringing various groups of friends here and they were all very impressed. One of my fav places in Hammersmith area.
N.
Some go the dishe (excluding the roasts) have started to become a little mediocre. Atmosphere nice and buzzy, service and friendliness excellent, wine and beer selection delicious.
a. k.
Can never go wrong with the food, booze and friendly staff. A great place to visit on a sunny day....lovely outdoor seating.
A. W.
Top beer garden in the river. Better pub in Summer as BBQ gets going and the place is jumping. Not the cheapest pub as far as drink prices but atmosphere makes the premium worth it.
A.
Great atmosphere, buzzing...love the food even though in general, a little pricey. Only one member of staff, a girl with a bit of attitude, tarnished the experience.
S. L.
I like this place. Not all that impressed with the food but it's got charcter., Good location ok n the river with really nice indoor and outdoor areas. Staff are also good.
A. W.
Lovely place for a pint 👍
C. S.
A great Fulham FC pre match pub. Well organised and popular...even when very busy. However, the beer prices are eyewateringly expensive.
L. L.
Amazing outdoor space! Great service too for a very busy place 🤗
E. M.
Amazing pub, great food, outdoor area and solid selection of beer
I. G.
It's a great pub, great location, food is also pretty good, delicious burgers in the summer. But the wine list is pretty bad.
D. S.
Great place to have a drink, the pub is great lots of options for drinks, great outside area. Only reason for 4 star is the dinning area is by the river and not the pub area.
D. J.
Convivial pub on the Thames near he River Cafe restaurant. Lots of inside and outside seating. Good selection of beers and food you'd expect from a gastro pub.
n. x.
They have blankets!! 😍😍 and great service :) people were really nice, polite and lovely 🙂
M. B.
Great vibe and crowd. Always very busy so can be difficult to find a table without a booking. Food has potential but the burger they served me was below standard.
M. Y.
Great garden and outdoor bbq (serving burgers and rotisserie chicken)
Be very cautious if you have food allergies when dining here. Went with someone who has a severe nut allergy and as menu doesn't say when common allergens, like nuts, are in a dish his throat mildly swelled when his main arrived, with nuts in it. Staff basically said onus was on us to say he had an allergy and we should have checked. Personally, i think putting (N) on a menu to say when the dish contains nuts would be sensible given how many people have nut allergies.
D. H.
The place is great, the vibe awesome but the food menu is not the best and neither is the service. All in all I would recommend it for a few pints with friends
R. E.
Nice pub with a giant garden. Seats looking out on the Thames as well. Good selection of beers on tap. Food a little pricey.
A. M.
Lovely garden and probably Everyone know that ,very busy at all the time with amazing views
P. L.
Nice location, excellent service, good experience for the brief time we were there.
A. D.
We did a gig here for the 162nd Edition boat race. What a vibe! Place was absolutely rammed with people having a great time. Some nice strong IPA's on tap too!
S. D.
Pretty cool pub, close to the river, nice terrace outside to chill out if the weather is fine... Not a great variety of beers, but nice venue "far" from the main road.
L. M.
Great pub - and still doing takeaway pints if you're wondering 👍
A. H.
Lovely location on the river with lots of outdoor spaces; Perfect for a summer evening. Can get very busy so make sure you book a table for dinner in the summer
F. B. D.
Great beer, great wine selection, delicious food and great service. A friendly welcoming ambience. The perfect Father's Day treat.
N. D.
Lovely pub on the Thames with large garden that has burger bar in the garden. Also has dining area and full menu. Always gets busy
T. G.
Great meal there last week. Interesting menu. Only down side was that we coincided with quiz night which meant it was a bit noisy.
E. M.
Good food but a bit pricey, nice ales on tap. Bar staff is friendly. Reduce price by 20% and you will be 5 stars! :-)
A. H.
Local pub the menue was not suitable for lunch although I did enjoy my duck. Staff very friendly. Dog friendly.
M. F.
Really nice setting by the river and they are happy for you to take drinks outside to drink by the river. Unfortunately they had run out of food when we got there which was a bit disappointing
A. V. C.
The Cabtree is one of the nicest bars in Fulham situated on the Thames riverside. They serve good food and you have the choice to order it on the bbq. They offer a nice terrace outdoors which is normally very demanded. On summer time it is the choice for the locals living on the area. The riverpath is next to the bar and it is always a good option to end the evening watching the sunset.
S. b.
Really cool restaurant close to the water.
D. C.
Food was good, if a little pricey. Service was quick and friendly. A good spot by the Thames to go for a pub lunch or after work drink.
J. D.
Great pub on the river.. amazing beer garden with outdoor bbqs. They have tables overlooking the river and the beer garden is stunning.
I. F.
Fantastic burger and brownie and our waiter was wonderfully attentive. Highly recommend!
L. R.
Great beer garden when the sun is out. Its not cheap but the Spinach and blue cheese gnocchi is lovely!
N. F.
Decent pub, one of the few in the area. Can hang out and watch some football in the nice garden. I don't know about the food, but as a pub, it works for me.
L. M. G.
Very nice riverside pub with a decent choice of drinks and food.
It has loads of seating both inside and outside.
A bit pricey tho.
G. S.
Victim of its own success. Enlarged garden overflowing onto the Thames Path. The number of customers overwhelmed the barstaff. Good range of draft & bottled beers.
A. P.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Waiters experienced and very helpful. Will be going back very soon.
E. L.
Very nice place, nice atmosphere and staff very helpful and well prepared about Covid regulations. Raccomanded.
E. C.
A great pub with quick service and a lovely outdoor seating area. Perfect for a summer pint.
E. F.
Nice outside area. Pub food in line with expectation
D. P.
I go here a lot, sometimes the service is slow and sometimes the service is fast but it really depends on the weather and if there's an event on. Sure it's a little bit pricey but hey, it's right on the river! Delicious food, good drink selection and a buzzing atmosphere, highly recommend a visit!
F. -.
For Fulham area is not expensive at all and the location is great, food amazing and the staff 10 stars 👍
c. w.

Lovely pub. Dog friendly. Great staff and food. Disappointing cheese board let's it down. Only two cheeses. What a shame.
J.
Looks very nice
D. D. H.
Meze platter was OK, Ribeye steak good, and the dessert, of which I already forgot the name was also pretty tasty.
The inside of the pub is not as good as the outside though...
L. W.
Great pub, great surroundings, food has always been great, as has service. No complaints. Proud to call this place my local.
S. F.
Very nice river side setting, great beer selection, very tasty food. A proper pub with proper grub!
L. H.
I really like the place, the vibe and the outdoor space. Just don't come for the food as it is average at best
K. D.
Busy busy pub, mind you i was there the afternoon of the grand national, all in all it was too busy we left shortly. Seems a v good pub to watch rugby or maybe football.
K. G.
Had a lovely walk up the Thames path to the Crabtree, stopped for a few halves. The atmosphere is really nice. Will certainly come back again soon.
P. E.

Outside food either burger or hotdog....at £14 is not worth it.
Boozer good with a good selection of beers and nice staff.
