Reviews of The Dog & Bell
S. C.
I was having a bit of a sad day and I popped in for a pint and numerous things about this pub cheered me up and made me forget my woes for a few hours. There can be no higher praise in my book. Special shout out to the staff for being so nice and attentive and their Guinness for being so tasty.
M. R.
Really nice pub, very popular. You thought Christmas was over?
Not in the dog and Bell in Deptford, London, no, it's super Christmas!
n. d.
Back in one of our favourite pubs, lovely atmosphere at Christmas, lovely decorations create a magical atmosphere. Lovely genuine staff with great food and beer, a hidden gem
V. H.
One of the best pubs I’ve ever been in - and I’m Irish so that’s really saying something. We always come for the the buffalo wings and chunky chips - I love the reasonably priced cocktails while my husband loves the beer selection. Live music on Sunday afternoons is a bonus! Winter is amazing indoors with the incredible Christmas decorations - in summer, the outside space is ideal. We have so many happy memories in this place already!
D. T.
A great traditional(ish) pub at the north end of Deptford, close to the creek and Greenwich Reach. Site of the annual Pickle Festival, featuring chutneys, pickles and many other things. A vibrant place attracting the local worldly wise, all with a tale to tell. Lovely people, the staff are great too, service fast and efficient with a smile too. A good verandah of seating out front and a lovely enclosed patio at the back. Lots of laughter and teasing, a delightful place to stop off for a refill or six from the cask, keg or all sorts of bottles. Traditional bar snacks to keep your crisps company from pickled eggs to pork pies. Seek out and enjoy!

3 words... perfect perfect perfect!
Good stuff, Good atmosphere, live music, delicious drinks and food. Wiill come back soon.

Cycled past this pub loads of times and always meant to stop. So we did and what a great inside, outside front and outside back. Good range of beers. Inside was a delight, lights, decor and trinkets of random pub decor. Food untested but looked fine.
L. K.
Full marks. Nice outdoor seating thing in a quiet street, but inside also lovely. Good beers - amazing if you're Belgian. Good food. The works! Dog friendly! Barrels! Red umbrellas!
R. J.
This pub has a great atmosphere and looks exactly as a pub should. It has a nice little area out the back as well as outside seating at the front. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff are also really great!
B. F.
Great food & the staff are friendly.
Definitely recommend a visit.
L. F.
Lovely pub , outdoor seating and courtyard available. They play the six nations there , other big games too I’m sure. Super friendly doorman too - what a legend!
l. r.
We had a nice lunch but it was very hard to talk because there was a huge screen with the rugby on. I found this strange because it's a small place and so the numbers who could watch is also small. Most people did not stay for the whole thing so clearly it's not why they were there. Perhaps just turn the sound down.
R. V.
We had a few drinks with a friend. They even had a live music. If you like Belgium style beer is one of the best place to try. The place is cozy and welcoming.
b. l.
Fantastic. Proper London boozer. Great selection of spirits- especially Whiskeys & plenty of decent options on draft. Good outdoor space & eye cat hing Dec's at Xmas!
E. S.
Best part of this pub was the guy in the suit that welcomes you, cleans, serves and jokes around with you! Give this guy a raise he made our night! Super cute pub though and loving the extended timeframe for the Christmas lights. Great classic British pub. Only one star down as the food options weren’t great particularly for a gluten free-r
M. F.
Great pub. Good choice of beer, great spaces inside and out.
M. W.
Haven't been to the Dog and Bell for a few years, always loved it!
Went back today it is now just The Dogs B**locks! For those who don't know, that means beyond brilliant. Done up, a mixture of old London and New. A little difficult to find but treasures always are.
Thanks
Matthew Ward
J. B.
Gorgeous decorations, a warm welcome and very tasty Sunday lunch!
S. A.
A beautiful, beautiful pub. The Christmas decorations are tasteful and worth a visit. Amazing
Just a swift drink. Mulled wine delicious and not too heavy. Well worth a visit.
Hoping to go again soon.
B. H.
Great atmosphere with good choice of quality beers. Big thumbs up to the guy who manages the seating and looks after the security. Outside area is out front and feels part of the pub so shares the pub vibe.
J. M.
Maybe my favourite pub in SE London! A proper gem
S. N.
So after many recommendations and appearances in the Camra guide, I finally made it to this pub. A gentle walk along the river from Greenwich and a little wander inland at Watergate St brings you here. The dining area is set up and in the next room from the bar area, greeted like a regular and a great selection of well kept ales. We were encouraged to sample before ordering and I even had a lemon grass infused beer which was unexpectedly good. Post Covid, posh outside seating area available in closed off road with planters and roped off area. Still got a great selection of beers with good service and friendly team.
B. H.
Really friendly pub off the beaten tourist track. Great beers that rotate regularly with London Pride as a staple. Food is really good too, and all at a reasonable price. Fast becoming my favourite pub in London.
J. L.
The Dog & Bell has quickly become one of my favourite pubs in the Deptford / Greenwich area. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the exterior of the pub is great for outdoor drinks. The beer selection is top notch and from recent visits they've had some tasty craft beers. I would recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area!
M. K.
A old classic pub with outdoor sitting. Trading pub near river Thames. The pub street is quite and give old classic look. Staff is friendly and smilingly. Live music on Sunday is a wonderful event. Outdoor sitting with heating is a special feature of the pub. Ambience of the pub is really good. Accept cash and both debit credit card. Special old beer is also there. You can get all kind of drought beer, wine whisky. Outside red colour of bar looks beautiful.
C. M.
Really beautiful and lovely venue. Amazing festive decorations. Plenty of outside seating. Reasonable prices . Toilets are very clean. Very lovely pub.
B. B.
During our trip in London we made several visits over there. It’s our weekly hotspot for an amazing Sunday roast, and on Wednesday nights they have live music with an amazing traditional group. Our son loves music, and they have a wide variety of rotating ales and other beverages. I would recommend trying the fish curry, or the beef burger.
N. D.
It's always lovely, but right now it's fantastic, table service, all Covid friendly, lovely spot outside. Great lager and fine ales, huge range of bottled beer, especially Belgian. They've even put on some cold keg IPA from Villages for the heretics.
C. B.
Hidden gem of a pub tucked away last Deptford High Street. A proper old fashioned drinking pub with a huge selection of craft beers, ales, and whisky.
I’m yet to try the food but it looks very good and reasonably priced. There are also vegan options including a vegan roast in Sunday’s.
Really nice, ambient spot to go to in the evenings with a great crowd of locals, spilling out into the street where there are several long benches to sit on and fairy lights lighting up the front of the pub and making a lovely atmosphere.
Can’t recommend this pub enough! Fantastic place!
D. B.
Great selection of Cask ales. Plenty of seating outside. Wasnt able to go indoor as still not allowed at the mo. Very friendly staff. Popolat with cyclists as right next to a cyclist path. Will be back.
F. L.
A true gem of a pub. Warm, friendly, comfortable, and clean. Great beer selection, cute courtyard, and plentiful outdoor seating. Truly in the conversation of best pub in London.
J. W.
A very traditional pub serving excellant beers. Absolutely fantastic friendly staff. Lovely quiet courtyard area. Plenty of space outside.
Friendly locals and will definitely be back.
Well done.
It also has a disabled toilet which on a very very busy evening was spotless.
Level entry.
Keep up the good work
F. V.
Really nice outside/inside place in a pedestrian street. Good service and food. Cannot wait to have it back in full swing with live music.
D. A.
Lively, convivial, genuinely good pub food, bonus points for Steely Dan hits playing on my visit last weekend - had never been before, definitely dropping in again when Deptford way
R. S. (.
Actual Belgian beer!! Yumm! We had a delicious Sunday roast! Decent crowd and lovey staff. All round great pub!
C. B.
After living in Greenwich and Blackheath for well over a decade, why had I not found this place earlier?! Five mins walk from Deptford train station. If the road you're going on feels a bit quiet (New King Street), keep on going! I went there 3 times in 7 days, so I think that makes it worth the 20 min bus journey. Small, nice & cosy Victorian pub, standing a bit marooned on a quiet street, but the place packs a punch inside with an amazing selection of different draft beers, darks beers and ciders. The stout I drank was so strong, it was only served in halves.
I've not tried the famous bottle collection, it's on the list to do. A Friday evening and Saturday lunchtime felt nice and busy, but there were plenty of seats, and you could just as easy grab a newspaper and while away an hour. Very inviting place, it feels like you could watch the word go buy here.
Definitely a place to go back to. This has to be a decent and well run place and this is a place worth supporting.
m. s.
One of the few original pubs left in and around the Deptford area. Bar billiards table, tabletop games and big outdoor games like Connect 4. Clientele and staff alike were very friendly and there is a wide selection of beers including craft. Good value food menu available although not available all day.
H. J.
Popped in here after wandering from Greenwich and finding the pub we were aiming for was shut. This place has a properly local feel; lots of punters at the bar chatting to the staff etc. We had Sunday lunch and a couple of beers. Food was great and really good value. They do a short and sweet Sunday menu, with veggie options. Empty plates all round! Nice touch having some board games available.
S. B.
Wide range of beer and crisps.
Great spot tucked away in the back streets of Deptford.
Many large tables great for board games. Also has a beer garden, will be good in the summer.
They do some great celebrations throughout the year, will be back!
d. w.
A wonderful pub off the beaten track, serving deliciously simple pub food and a great pint of Guinness. Well worth a stop for weary travellers.
D. S.
Love this pub so much. One of the last proper boozers in the area. Typical pub grub and a good beer selection. Live folk jam sessions on a Wednesday. Staff are wonderful!
R. D.
Good old school pub with great beers at fair prices. Food is what you'd expect and it works. There is a new doorman/security and he is BRILLIANT! So friendly, so helpful and tries to accommodate everyone from seating people to cleaning ashtrays. We love him!
L. K. R.
This is a small backstreet pub in the heart of old fashion Deptford, with its old world charm and its great range of real ale wine and traditional beers and now it’s fantastic food. This pub also has a fantastic outdoor area at the back of the pub and now on the road that is closed in front so you can sit out in the Sun and drink a nice drop of your favourite drink!
E. L.
Great atmosphere and lovely cold lager on the hottest day of the year. The staff were really friendly and helpful and taking lots of care with COVID measures. 10/10 recommend this place and I can't wait to visit again - thanks!
V. F.
Very cosy pub
With a friendly atmosphere
We had the chance to greet the dog
S. B.
Brilliant pub, great service, Guinness was fantastic. Outside area was big so you could fit a good few in no problem, food is well priced and tastes great
D. C.
Another wee gem in Deptford. Good beer and good grub.
J. H.
Great local! Always an amazing atmosphere and friendly staff
S. H.
Eamonn is the host with the most, he is life and soul of the pub and can definitely match or top you're banter beware he's a funny one... Will definitely be back.

Brilliant to have the D&B back after months of tier 3/ lockdown. Superb choice of cask ales. Great table service from the efficient/ friendly staff. What's not to like? Will be back for more.
D. S.
Great pub serving inexpensive but decent pub food, a great selection of beers and the best Guinness I've ever had outside of Ireland!
S. M.
Lovely pub I unexpectedly came across with a friend today during a long walk from Canada Water to Cutty Sark. The chips were amazing. The staff were very friendly. The pub was very clean and compliant with Covid guidance. I'll be back when I'm next in the area. Thanks Dog & Bell team
M. H.
Lovely little pub tucked away and serving decent Guiness!
M.
Lovely renovated pub with an extensive selection of beers of all kind. There is a little beer garden on the back. Despite being on the Thames Path, I would say it’s a little off the beaten path so patrons are mostly locals and only a few tourists. Sadly some of the staff aren’t friendly and not customer oriented.
R. D.
Great outdoor area. Colourful.
Nice selection of pints (and wine).
The people there are knowledgeable and very nice.
Suitable for prams.
D. C.
An astonishingly good pub on the Thames Path. The high quality pub grub is matched by great service. Nice mix of beers and ales and (for London) good value all round.
Lovely garden area put back in the summer.
C. C.
Ace traditional boozer, great selection of beers and ales. Tasty pub grub (although sometimes getting a table may be tricky) ...They host lots of seasonal events - fans of hot sauce watch out for the pickle festival!
g. 3.
Great pub, really good selection of beers and friendly staff.
J. H.
I liked this place. Busy when I visited on a Sunday lunchtime. Service was pleasant. The food was not gourmet, but a good solid Sunday lunch, meat potatoes and veg. I had a really good pint of London Pride, the publican obviously keeps his pipes clean (unfortunately not always the case in other pubs).
S. G.
Great little pub. Having lived in Greenwich a few years now a pleasant surprise to discover this recently.
Good selection of beers, world class air conditioning and a nice outdoor seating area.
R. P.
The Dog+Bell has to be the most welcoming pub I've visited in London! The barman insisted on bringing my Guinness over to the table rather than let me stand and wait while it settled- beyond top service that! It attracts a good crowd of regulars and is situated in a lovely part of Deptford. Nice little beer garden too!
K. K.
Dropped into this pub on a weekday evening and enjoyed the experience. Has indoor seating and also a small courtyard out the back, which was very popular when I visited in early summer. A very local community feel so very different than the more touristy pubs at nearby Greenwich. Worth a visit if you are close by.
P. H.
I was there on the Friday for the St. Andrews beer festival. Great range of Scottish beers available and music on the night. Continuing on Saturday . A good pub all year round. Friendly people and real ales, wines etc.
S. T.
Great pub. Would love this to be my local! Visited during the Welsh beer fest. They went all out. Added traditional Welsh food to the menu, huge selection of beer and the staff kited out in cool vests. I think they are often in the beer guide. Worth a stop if you in the area
R. R.
I enjoyed my visit to the Dog & Bells Welsh Festival 30/11/18, they had a good range of Welsh & beers & ciders etc available.
Staff very friendly, my colleague enjoyed his food & beers, perry/etc.
I would have given 5 stars review if the accessible toilet had been available, as l have a Hidden Disability & l prefer to use the accessible facilities re privacy.
Yes - l can use the cubicle in the gents but there is no privacy there.
The accessible toilet is not on the Radar key system & l had to ask at the bar for the access key only to be told the toilet was out of order. ( Hopefully not being used as a storage as some other PH do).
Yes l will return to the pub as l have enjoyed the Dog & Bell beers/cider on a number of occasions but if you are wheelchair bound it may pay you to ring ahead to check if the accessible facilities are available.
1/12.2018.
Just a thank you to the owner for your quick reply to my review, much appreciated.
I'm more than happy to change my review to a 5 star & thank you for the update.

Stumbled across this pub whilst doing the Thames River walk. Nice traditional pub with friendly obliging staff. Brilliant collection of beer mats above the bar, strikes you as a quirky and homely place. Modest but lovely paved garden out back for the smokers and bar billiards inside, amongst the usual amenities. (TV, etc).
Very nice, highly recommended.
T. F.
Great pub. Irish music playing outside, vibes as per usual with many many drunk people having much fun.
C. v. S.
Great traditional pub w/out electrical annoyances like fruit machines et al. Great guest and cask beers, and many speciality bottled beers; old regulars and newer faces are ever present for a friendly atmosphere. Good food fairly priced. My favourite. My local.
S. M.
Great service brilliant guinness can't recommend enough
N. R.
The most traditional of pubs, with a good ale selection and interesting art documenting some of the local history, now all but disappeared
J. H.
Great Guinness, good crowd
A. M.
This is just a fabulous comfortable old fashioned pub. Superb range of cask, keg and bottled beers. The food is basic but lovely and really reasonably priced. Friendly and well worth visiting. Enjoy!
P. B.
Very cute Xmas decorations and nice outdoor area at the back
P. R.
Great spot! Well worth checking out. Fantastic beer on tap and hands down the best cask beer selection in London. Keep an eye out for their cask beer festivals, Upwards of 20 casks pouring. Highly recommended 🍺
H. R.
Nice range of beers on tap at decent prices. Sat out in the beer garden, which was small but pleasant. The Sunday roast looked tasty. Would definitely come back for lunch sometime.
2.
Friendly staff, proper pub in a most unlikely place up an old semi cobbled back street. Looks rough but don't be fooled, lovely place to drink and a fantastic selection of both English and Belgian beers. Should be on any true beer drinker's trail, will definitely be going back. Oh, and there are cycle racks outside and opposite so you can keep your eye on your bike whilst enjoying your pint.
t. r.
Amazing food and generous portions. Definitely be back
W. S.
The interior is pleasant on the eye, but the "pork pie" was utterly disgusting. Beer was ok, cider was very poor too.
J. M.
To quote my wife: “It’s the comfortable temperature and the buzzy ambience - that’s why my Guinness is the perfect pint.”
J. X. C.
Stopped in today while walking the Thames Path on a hot day. Wonderful pub. Had a pint, the Three Dogs Titanic ale. If you're that far east on the Path, stop in. I guarantee you'll enjoy it. Guy behind the bar was a real publican except for the fact he was watching the silly tennis from Wimbledon on the telly instead of the cricket.
G. J.
Great pub, and great selection of beers.
Excellent community pub
J. H.
Brilliant atmosphere and great pub with a terrific choice of beers the day I went. This is a proper pub that also does a bit of food not the other way around.
E. R.
Very lovely traditional pub with a cheerful atmosphere, good selection of beers and other drinks, and lots of charming details. You can t2ll the owners love this place.
It also has a bar billiards table, which is awesome
M. W.
Great pub very clean ,friendly staff, great atmosphere, I'd go again 👍
S. E.
Perfect. Great beer and a proper pub. Always a good range of different beers and excellent prices.
Back after 6 months away. Saturday afternoon and busier and livelier but fundamentally the same old D&B; a great thing and still my favourite London pub.
j. c.
Excellent outdoor space, attentive table service and nice beer.
B. T.
Lovely pub bursting with Christmas cheer
u. p. s.
Best boozer in south east London ! Always has fresh London pride , 5 other guest ales and traditional cider, budvar , Carlsburg , Guinness and 1 other cider and craft beer on draft plus some craft beers, lots of Belgium bottled beers, £4 or less for an ale so reasonably priced, food is good and reasonably priced £8 for some meals. staff are always friendly, it also has one of the oldest billiards tables in the country! If you love beer and you in the area you will not be disappointed!
d. l.
Great beer, great food, great music 🎵
r. f.
The Dog & Bell is my favourite pub in the area. The burger is luscious as are the toilets.
B. D.
Disappointing visit, regulars making it near impossible to get within arms length of the bar. Also, a minimum charge (£5) for contactless, which is fine if in company but not if one wishes to have a pint of cask beer.
M. P.
Great atmosphere and very pleasant to visit with friendly staff
K. S.
Super cute pub, lovely staff, great beer, clean loos!
A. A.
Found this place by chance, real hidden gem in in Deptford! Serves a variety of real ales and cider. The barman was super friendly and has a small but cosy beer garden. Perfect for a chilled casual drink. Will hit this place up for food the next time as it looked very good.
M. L.
Great cider selection and very friendly service. The sort of place where they take the time to seat and serve their elderly locals. Food was tasty and good value. A nice Sunday afternoon pub vibe.
J. A.
Despite all the new drinking establishments that have popped up in Deptford over recent years, the Dog and Bell is unsurpassed in terms of ale, atmosphere and comfort. Add to this the fact that they have a pleasant outside space and serve very good food, and you have a real jewel in the crown of SE8. I hope the arrival of more pubs and bars in the neighborhood doesn't threaten its continued operation, as it really is a wonderful place.
O. F.
Old school pub with friendly staff and a covered outdoor area away from traffic. Perfect!
J. P.
There are known knowns; things which we know we know. Such as, the Dog and Bell is CAMRA’s SE London pub of the year 2020. However, there are also known unknowns; questions about which the only thing we know is precisely that we know nothing. For example, why is the Guiness here so satisfying? How does a pub in London turn a profit on an 8 quid Sunday lunch? And if Monty is the Dog ... where is the bell? Importantly though, there is a more elusive category - the unknown unknowns - things that, we don’t know we don’t know. It is the magic of this unidentified element that lures punters back time and time again and puts this pub firmly ahead of the rest.
S. M.
Great beer, including a decent Belgian beer selection, and solid tasty food too. Helps that the bar staff actually try and care about the beer they serve. This is what a London pub should aspire to be.
D.
Great Pub, friendly staff...
R. B.
Traditional local pub. Varied range of ales. Good food. Bar billiards table! Boards games child friendly. On the Thames Cycle Path, great destination for a cycle ride.
m. s.
Fantastic pub on the Thames path. Very friendly, always some interesting and rare ales. Interesting and great value menu. Nice inside and a back garden
P. F.
Lovely little pub with great food and friendly atmosphere. Off the beaten track but well worth it for a quiet drink. It's escaped the gastro pub or hipster conversion, but also not dropped its standards.
Y. I.
Exceptional service with good heating devices
g.
Great little back street boozer. A fella in a Greenwich ale house recommended it; stayed for a very enjoyable few hours. Barman was a lovely bloke ('Tea Towel'Terry) as were a few regulars who between them have been part of the furniture for 75 years! If you enjoy a pint in a proper boozer with genuine geezers, you'll love this place. 6 stars!
D. B.
Excellent combination of old Deptford and new Deptford. Traditional boozer, but with craft and Belgian beer, as well as a pretty beer garden and friendly vibe. I liked it. Didn't have the food.
L. G.
An absolute gem of a place. The only true 'pub' I can think of left in London. Brilliant beer selection, delicious food, incredibly polite staff, dog friendly and just a bloody brilliant place!
J. A.
This place is fantastic, great local crowd. Bit out of the way but well worth the trip. Bear in mind it's cash only. Wish I lived closer but probably a good job I don't. Good rotation of ales. Food is very tasty and cheap and big portions. Hidden gem.
S. l.
Came across on a walk from Canada Water to Greenwich, truly amazing chips, great pork pie, fabulous choice of beer, friendly staff as well, applying all Covid rules
C. D.
Proper back street local, ran by the same Irish family for decades. Decent cask ale offering & an impressive bottle list. Regular beer festivals, warm & friendly feel.
P. D.
Great place with decent food and beers. Ideal place for some food and drink and very cyclist friendly as well. They usually let you wheel your bike through to the small courtyard at the rear of the pub.
S. B.
A nice selection of beers including some local / small batch ones. It’s very much a locals pub (not always the friendliest of vibes) but the staff are friendly. Small patio at the back
P. G.
Lovely pub with a good selection of beers. Staff helpful and mindful of current situation.
T. F.
Very nice friendly pub with wide range of real ale and continental beer. Lovely garden srea out back as well.
s. s.
Lovely atmosphere, great staff loads of events happening. Great food. Overall a great place for a drink, party or sunday lunch family friendly
E. W.
Fantastic, traditional pub. Very welcoming for families. Great beer and tasty food.

Best choice of real-ale beers in the area, a lovely pub to go for a chat, without being deafened by the jukebox or rowdy drinkers. It even has a Bar-Billiards table and traditional pub-games (Cribbage etc.)
K. B.

"PROPER" pub and that comes from a wine drinker. Old fashioned, men chatting at bar about all sorts... Original decor. Sunday papers. Great crisp selection. Bf loves the beer!

Updated Review:
As Allan Williams has pointed out, the Dog & Bell is under new management and plays piped music. What he didn't point out was that the previous management (and still leaseholders) used to play piped music in the pub when it suited them. The current piped music is as discreet as it can be.
He also didn't mention that there is now free wifi, pork pies and pickled eggs behind the bar, pleasant candles on the table, tea and espresso coffee and, at the time of my visit over xmas, a very pretty piece of window artwork. Good luck to the new management at the Dog and Bell!
Old Review:
The Dog & Bell is an old school "real ale pub" i.e. one of those pubs that served good cask beer before it became trendy. Often these pubs weren't the most comfortable of places but the landlord and landlady obviously made an effort with this place. The reclaimed church pews give it a gothic feel in the main bar which, in turn, gives it the air of a Flanders drinkery - supported by what was once a famous Belgian beer selection but now seems run-of-the-mill. In many ways the D&B's failings (if you could call them failings) is how out of touch with the current requirements of the modern drinker/eater it is. The quality of the food won't appeal to many modern pub goers but this is not the raison d'être of the D&B - it is a drinking establishment. This is the type of place where if you walk away with a beer that has too much head, you will be summoned back by the landlord for a top-up - and the ales are kept in perfect condition. It really is the definition of a back street pub and one of those places that if you were to discover it by chance you would be raving about it to whomever would listen. It's so back street that many in Deptford do not know about it, including my neighbour who has lived here for 20 years and I think more would visit if they started publicising it a bit more.
For any beer aficionados this is an essential stop on the London pub circuit. One of my 'Inns of Distinction'
L. G.
One of Londons finest pubs. Great, cosy atmosphere, great beers and ciders, sweet little beer garden. Sunday roast of champions!
D. H.
Lovely old style pub. Really good food
Wide choice of beers
O. C.
Please! Please! Please! Go here, just not too many of you at the same time. Pull straws the ones that don't get to go can look at the pictures on Instagram and drink a pint of Old Scrotum. An excellent pint of real ale. Chap that ran it had won CAMRA's pub of South East London at least 1 million times in the opinion of someone who has a loose grasp of Maths but a better one in not dropping a pint. Sadly someone seems has taken over and there is a smaller selection of beer. Still good. Earplugs recommend, they do Folk.
Z. P.
I never knew that such a gem of a pub existed just down the road from me! Brilliant atmosphere, wide selection of booze for a very reasonable price and the staff and customers are very welcoming!

Alles perfekt.
