So lucky to have this place locally to me. Food has always been consistent and service is always great.
Staff members are very professional, friendly and efficient.
Love the beer garden as well, so good for summer time.
Do try out this place, they also have a great drinks menu.

We came across an ad (or post on IG or FB) for tacos somewhere so visited this place to see how good they really were.
It was pretty empty when we got there with just another family on another table. The beer menu is your standard types (which is mostly good for my taste) so no complaints there.
The main star of the show is the El Comelon taco menu. There were a range of classic authentic mexican options. You get 3 to a plate, which is just enough. There is also some other sides like tacos with salsa or guac. We got Al Pastor and fish tacos. The Al pastor I felt were a little too chewy - but did have an amazing taste. The fish tacos, full disclosure, taste like corner fish'n'chips fish wrapped in a tortilla. They did taste good though, so don't feel like you shouldn't get them.
Overall recommend.

Very nice local pub. When passing through Lewisham way looks nice but kind of small and empty. However, once inside one realises that is extremely spacious. I have been a few times, and always sat in the garden, where they have large, well distanced tables and heaters (perfect for having a COVID-safe drink, also because they do table service only). Choice of drinks very good. Maybe a bit overpriced (that’s why 4 stars). Coming back soon, also to try their kitchen!

I haven't ordered anything to eat from this location as of yet so I can't speak much on the food, hopefully am able to find the time to do so,.
Apart from that, it's a beautiful and spacious location, staff are down to earth and friendly.
Diffenifty a place to get a bit of work or meeting done while having a glass of wine or what ever you prefer.
My go too for some downtime during my break from My laptop 😂.

Had an immense time at The Fat Walrus. The sides/main where so good and moreish! Had no problems with booking or staying longer at the table and the service was top class! Great vibe as well- will 100% be coming back for me😍

Great pub with a huge covered, heated garden. The frozen strawberry daiquiri is amazing and the staff are absolutely exceptional - so kind, friendly, and attentive. Thanks so much for an amazing evening there!

A quiet nice pub by the roadside. Have got a small but good menu. People are very helpful. I went on a saturday night and it was calm and good. It seemed pet friendly. The loo is kept well. I would like to go again.

Most delicious Sunday roast I have had in a while. Guinea fowl was juicy, potatoes crispy and generous on the gravy. Top notched paired with some heart warming mulled wine!

The Fat Walrus is the place I visit probably the most often in all of South East London. I've been coming here since it was called The Old Haberdasher. The new owner did an excellent job improving the place, particularly the back garden which is now fantastic all year long.
The pinnacle of the place for me though is the food, the burgers are amazing, the coleslaw generous and to die for, chips well made. If you come on Sunday you can have one of the best roasts in London.
Even with chef changes over time the quality have been top notch.
The staff rotation has also been quite minimal and the new members seem to fit right in. They always are friendly and check up on you during your meal.
If I was to ask for any improvements it is to bring back the cakes, go back to the old steak(instead of the chimichurri one) and start offering some of the local beers! :)
