Near Manor House station. Went for the live music in their rather good music room. They have a good selection of beers though the pricing is somewhat high, it's cheaper in places such as Shoreditch etc. They do offer food and others I spoke to said it was very good with many of the other patrons clearly enjoying the offerings.

Big pub on the corner with a large outdoor area out the front, a dining area inside, and a large area for live music where they regularly host bands. I've visited quite a few times and every time I've been served quickly with a decent selection of beers. Always a good time especially on a live music night

One of my favourite pubs in London. The atmosphere is great, the food tasty and they also organise loads of great gigs. The team is welcoming and even the security team is always friendly. If you want to spend a lovely time this is the place.

Great pub near Manor House Station and Finsbury Park. They have delicious pizzas and light bites. Not been during a live music night yet, but do look forward to them starting it up again. Good staff, though sometimes tables don’t always seem to be cleaned after each customer. Good amount of space inside and out. Hope to return for some live music in the bit too distant future!

Great pub close to Finsbury Park, Manor House, Green Lanes areas. There's outdoor sitting in the front and a garden at the back. Music on the weekend. Service is fast. 30 something crowd so its laid back, good afternoon or evening drinking.

Loving the new front garden! This is a great place for catching up late afternoon, early evening overlooking the park. Its perfect for just drinks but also tasty and inexpensive food. Two of us had pizzas - both delicious - and another had a substantially sized burger and chips. The service was amazing and we were made to feel very welcome. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Nice pub at one of the corners of Finsbury Park. Decent food options and really big space in general. Live music to enjoy on select evenings. Drinks aren't too expensive and the service is fairly nice. Better option than some of the pubs near station.

Really nice, big, cool space inside with wooden floors and bare brick walls. Unfortunately they charge £5.30 for a Moretti - and after they changed the barrel charged me £5.30 for £5 worth of a pint. When I returned to the bar and politely asked the barmaid whether she had in fact poured me a pint (I thought there was maybe a very faint line below the rim that I couldn’t make it out in the dim light) she replied “well, yeah... with the head..” She topped it up, not particularly graciously. I didn’t have time for a second as the bouncer told me eight minutes after I got my pint that they were closed. Perhaps just as well.

We pop in today without a booking and the doorman was very nice and helpful. The terrace was busy but service was quick and staff was great too. But really want to give a five stars for the doorman. I live in West London so not really my neighbourhood but I will definitely be back and I recommend the place. They also have a back Garden. See you soon ✌️

A *very* nice spot for a sunny mid-afternoon drink. Chilled bar staff, and the planters insulate you from the road just enough. Anywhere that brings a chilled Moretti to your table with a happy smile is a winner in my books!

Lovely atmosphere; really cosy and although the venue is big it is not too noisy and has an intimate feel. Service was quick but impersonal (not super important to me but I guess some may consider it so). Good arancini and draught beer selection - would definitely go again! A touch on the expensive side but in my opinion worth it for the venue.

Spacious pub with a nice terrace and a back room for gigs. Good selection of drinks, but no alcohol-free beer :/ Haven't tried the food, but they do have a kitchen and the menu looks good. Toilets are behind the gig room which means there are always people crossing it.

Visited during the pandemic (May 2021) and had to sit outside, in this case out the back. Nice venue, with good service, friendly staff & fair food. It was spoilt though by other customers who seemed unable to communicate below 90db even though just a metre apart or who wanted to watch TV on their phones without headphones. Not the pub's fault but perhaps they could have stepped in to ask the miscreants to lower the volume or decamp somewhere else.

Perfectly located near transport links, this pub provides a great venue for both food and drinks. Do ask if they have space in the back garden when you visit, to get away from the main road and sit in a lovely hidden area!

Loos in a good condition and clean throughout the whole visit. Definitely a great place to go to for either drinks and food. Great friendly place, the guy at the entrance asked us to scan the covid QR code and then we could take the seating place we liked. Scan the QR code on the table with your camera and you are straight to a menu where you can order adding your table number. Easy check out without asking you any personal data nor mobile app installation and the order was at our table in 2 minutes. Enjoyed few pints with friends in a rainy day after months of lockdown. All over people wearing masks and behaving sensibly.

Stopped by The Finsbury to see some friends whose friends were playing in one of the bands performing there that night. The bar area is a large, high ceiling open area, brightly lit and a nice place to sit and chat to friends. The bar staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient, and the bar has a good selection of beers and real ales. In the back is the performance area where bands were performing that night. The acoustics seemed decent for the size of the area. So, worth a visit if you enjoy seeing live music and enjoy a nice atmosphere.

Excellent entertainment venue and pub to have a drink with friends. The outside seating area is an afternoon suntrap and the live room at the back is air-conditioned making it cool on even the hottest of summer days. Great range of drinks, including craft beers. The kitchen offers some fab pizzas and changing range of specials. Live music Thursday-Tuesday, the Comedy night each Wednesday has acts seen on TV and some of the best up and coming performers. Been coming here since 2011. I totally recommend a trip the Finsbury.

Great pub. This has basically become our local pub. The location is great and the outdoor seating in the summer is good. It can get quite busy and lively when there's live music on, but it can often be quite relaxed and chilled. The food is good and the range of live music is excellent.

Really nice place. Cool people hanging there. The entrance is free most of the times. Drinks are tasty and at a reasonable price. Plenty space on the tables indoor and in the garden. Food smells good but didn't try yet to be honest. Extra points goes to this place for the concert room. Loud and clear with a good sound engineering and lots of bands jumping on the stage one after another one. So far one of the best events of them seems to be the monthly "Rock the Boat"!!

Used to go there with my band for a post-practice pint when we rehearsed nearby, and just visited the music venue last night for a friend's show - and was quite impressed at the overall quality for such a "local" feeling pub. Here's also the more informative, common type of review: Spacious bar section, lovely and lively staff, nice atmosphere, very decent music venue - with solid sound and proper lighting - and all super close to Manor House tube station.

Great Pub can't think of any reason why you wouldn't visit here. It's very laid back, has a fairly young crowd music isn't too loud so you can have a conversation. They also a space in the back for live music performances and the free stand up comedy on Wednesdays is definitely worth checking out.

The pub itself looks very rustic, and is within easy reach of public transport. It closed pretty early on a Sunday; that is, before 11:30! There's a large outdoor seating area which is nice. Indoors is OK, but there's no air conditioning or fans if it's a hot day! There's a large selection of alcohol, and we were served quickly. Empty glasses were cleared promptly. I'm rating 3 stars because the lady that served us was one of the rudest people I've come across in a while. She obviously didn't want to be there, and it made us feel uncomfortable with how she was communicating with us and taking our transaction. Overall, will come back and hope the same lady isn't there!

Live comedy and live music available! On Wednesdays they do a free comedy night. Probably one of the nicest pubs in the area. Plus they have a few people behind the bar so service is always really quick which is rare in popular venues in London. Highly recommended.

I’d have put five starts as it’s a great venue for live music, used to be my favourite place but now the selection of beers they have is very bad (red stripe, Heineken, a very bad American pale ale...) at a very expensive price. I paid £6,20 for a paint... I have never yet paid that exorbitant price nowhere else in london. So now I have started going to another local pub with live music and better prices... they should reconsider the prices and their beers quality...

Contrary to the review before, I find the staff to be great considering how busy they usually get during weekends. I get my drinks quickly and never feel rushed to order like most bartenders do on a busy night. Being in the service industry, sometimes the staff needs shots to deal with customers. However, the customers at The Finsbury are usually awesome, I have made new friends while being there. Waiting a few minutes is better than waiting half an hour like I have at other bars, so the complaint seems unreasonable. One thing I must agree on is that the place has a fantastic space for bands to play. Truly brings in good spirit. I have been at The Finsbury a few times but now that I moved closer to the area I might become a regular. Hopefully the bar back will accept a shot from me when I walk in.

The short of it is that the Finsbury is a great place to go for a casual drink and listen to some live music (or comedy on a Wednesday, tickets for which are free if you buy one of their pizzas). Bar staff are friendly and I've never had to wait long to get served in here. The doormen are generally friendly although beware: they will not allow dogs on the premises, even in the areas outside which is a bit disappointing. Otherwise prices are typical for the area; yes beer is perhaps a touch more expensive than you might expect for Harringey but that's because it's a) generally craft or export and b) it's zone 2 slap bang next to a tube station, barely 20 minutes from central London. Wine offers outrageous economies of scale here - a small glass is steep at £5ish... Upgrade to a large (double size) for a £1ish extra?! The food is simple but done well - burgers are amongst the best I've had in pubs across London; the pizzas are stone baked and tasty, but don't really compete with your pizza pilgrim/homeslice/franca manca fayre. This place is really about up and coming live music and that's where it excels. There are at least 3 bands on every night, well advertised on their website and in pub, to suit a variety of tastes, normally running from 8pm-midnight. I cannot recall the last time I saw a 'bad' band here on a Friday or Saturday night. At times the venue can feel a little larger than needed when bands are playing as, frankly, they're up and coming, but then is that such a bad thing? I remember once seeing Skindred play the Garage in Islington when there can't have been more than 50 people in there. Yet a few years later they're playing a sold out Brixton Academy.... Just saying...

Poor sound and oversized live room for the scale of gigs on offer as it's tough to fill the space meaning your left with an awkward assortment of people standing towards the back of the room. They've got a good selection of IPAs on tap though and the front room is quite cosy for an evening drink.

Only been to The Finsbury to witness a gig or three. If your under 30 and don't mind paying over the odds for a drink then this is the place for you . A large area out front designated to sitting in the open air . Keep a eye for their gigs as they put on some crackers.

Amazing atmosphere, live music, beer selection is short but good, food not bad though we waited 20 minutes for a plate of fried chips anyway the staff really friendly and fun. However the second time that I went the security stopped my friends for unsuitable clothing but was just a normal jeans and jacket, it seemed a bit selective and racist.

Since moving into the area, the Finsbury seems to be one of the most happening pubs locally, both in terms of the regular events held at the pub (barbeques in summer and comedy all year around) and in the crowd, which seems much friendlier than in some neighbouring establishments I've tried! Fun, quirky and affordable, it's a good hang-out with a nice vibe.

Free entertainment daily is hard to come by in bars nowadays, but The Finsbury stands as a venue offering a bit of everything for locals. The standard drinks are on offer at the bar, but there's plenty of seating in and outside, and the stage is divided by a thick, black curtain to block out most of the noise coming from bands – yet loud enough to still enjoy it while talking to friends. There's a lack of pretentiousness, which makes for a good night out with friends.
