What an Amazing pub!!!! Flowers everywhere and lots of picnic tables outside, so you can enjoy the sun. The interior is brilliant, lots of quirky knick-knacks everywhere, its like an art gallery you keep seeing cool stuff. Lots of tables and chairs/benches inside. Staff were really friendly & welcoming, good choice of beers and nice to see local ones represented. A really unique pub, loved it, will be back!!! :)

The Hemingford is a special London pub - hence why it’s always busy and booked out. From the amazing ivy on the outside to the fantastic interior this pub will be a treat to your senses. The publicans run a tight ship and offer a wide range of drinks. The addition of the great thai food is always a win. The upstairs is great but nothing beats a summers day on the tables outside. Such a relaxing pub at the corner of Hemingford Road and Offord Road. Try their home cask Hemingford or other many selections from the tap. Grab a pint or two with your buddy and enjoy the lovely old deco inside or catch the game on the screen. Thai food is served here... check for opening times. Tables are not too close to each other, to keep a comfortable distance. Very friendly people serving from behind the bar. Sometimes upstairs are open to accomodate more customers. Great atmosphere to chill and catch up with friends.

Absolutely adored this place. Old world pub charm with a twist. Lovely leading lady behind the bar, a few regulars posted and the most unique and gorgeous ornaments and knick knacks around to give it flare. Heard great things about the food so can’t wait to come back and try.

A beautiful and authentic Irish pub in the heart of Highbury and Islington, you just needed to close your eyes you could easily feel in any pub in Ireland, I had a short visit but will definitely go back again, I been told a little secret, they play Irish music on weekends !!! Stumbled upon this pub by sheer luck. It looked so pretty from the outside at night. I couldn't help but wander right on in, only to find out the inside was all the better. The atmosphere, along with the live folk music was unlike anything I'd ever experienced that far. The staff were happily serving people, service was fast, and the locals seemed cheerful. Me and my company had a good time. I totally recommend this place, give it a try and it won't fail to deliver.

It was very easy to book, the staff are welcoming and super accommodating. It's a proper pub, not a jumped up fancy place like so many of them these days. We love this pub and come down for a drink all the time! Fantastic atmosphere and character, N1 and N7 beers from the local brewery, outdoor benches that catch the sun in the evening, and some of the best Thai food I've tasted cooked by the in-house Thai kitchen Thai 2gether. In fact, we love the place so much we hired the upstairs function room for our wedding party (no charge to hire!) - lovely room with great balcony that stretches all the way round the front of the building. Maria helped us to organise the event and is really friendly and helpful. Gina from Thai 2gether put on some fantastic catering which all the guests loved. Can't recommend this place highly enough - for a drink, great Thai food or hiring it for an event!

Discovered this place by accident while walking home on a Friday evening. Folks, such a charming pub! Lovely bar staff, Irish live music at one of the tables (looks like they do it regularly) and most importantly, the Guinness tastes really good. Definitely recommend this place!

Pros - beautiful, relaxed location (passing traffic is typically very light); outdoor seating; really nice, characterful interior decor; friendly bar staff; water dispenser at the bar. Cons - only thing I can think of is that I’m not a massive fan of Thai food but I haven’t actually tried it here.

Excellent little pub ! I went there with my friends last Friday and although most of us were very drunk, we still managed to keep our wits about us to enjoy the live music and appreciate the atmosphere .I found it quite charming how the inside is decorated with hanging objects , and the vines growing in the outside gives the pub a quaint look. Lovely staff also! Maria(I think that was her name) was particularly lively and charming, always cracking jokes and even humoring our drunk puns. Good pub, will come again .

I went here with a friend who lives on Offord road and goes there regularly. It's a really friendly pub with a mixed crowd. I liked sitting outside on the tables and even had some of the Thai food, which was great as a pre dinner snack, as we were going off to a restaurant in Islington. I just liked the vibe. It seemed like a real local pub.

A cracking local pub, with a wonderfully-covered frontage. Food tends to be English at lunchtimes and Thai during the evening. The Thai is pretty good, although portions aren't massive. A few evenings a week you'll find bands, normally ceilidh, playing away in the corner. That and the multitude of hanging treasures, signs and ornaments help to create a lovely atmosphere in the place.

This was my old Local and I miss it a lot. It's a fantastic pub with amazing staff. Decent selection of beer in a really cosy atmosphere. It has that awsome feel of a proper Irish pub and is the type of place your always feel welcome. It's decor is loads of weird and wonderful stuff hanging from the roof and is dark enough that during the day if you going for a pint you can relax and chill out. If it's sunny out the have seats outside which you can't miss as the whole pub has plants and flowers coving outside. Food wise it has Thai food in the evenings which really tasty and often Sunday roasts at weekends (phone ahead as not every Sat/Sun). At weekends there is nearly always a band on playing traditional, blue grass, etc... They also have regular quizzes, open mic sessions etc... which are listed on their Facebook page. I love the pub for Rugby and it gets a good Irish support, for big games the upstairs function room is open, which you can rent for parties. Gets busy if Arsenal are playing as is close to stadium. All round this is the best pub in London.

Our local pub with a great atmosphere and my favourite Thai food in London! I highly recommend the pad thai. The decor is amazing: there's even a chastity belt amongst the random selection of paraphernalia hanging from the ceiling. Absolutely love the staff and they even do takeaways. Head over and listen to the folk music group on a Thursday!

Love the bar, great fun decor and swift service, only problem for me is that it gets rammed and noisy on match nights - which is of course a plus if you want a good atmosphere to watch sports in.
