M. A.My experience at the Jolly Butchers this evening was top notch! :) Sunday roast dinner met our needs completely, and the service was the best. Thank you to our waitress Serena! C. M.Service was very fast, all staff lovely. Selection of keg beer from near and afar in excellent and a couple of cask offerings too, including a bitter. Their house wine/medium is very well priced. Really nice atmosphere, would very much recommend. They do Sunday roast very reasonably priced and have a pop up kitchen.
G. S.Came here for a Sunday roast. We were a big group and had pretty much all the different roasts they had on offer. All were very tasty and hearty portions especially for the price. My favourite despite me not being veggie was the leek and Stilton.
There was a bit of a delay between getting all the roasts out, to the point where some people were halfway done by the time I got mine but I won't score them down for it as the staff were lovely and the food was good.
In terms of drinks, if you're into your beers this place is heaven.
A lot of core beers you'd expect to see but also some exotic choices on tap such as a cherry lambic and a lemongrass saison.
It's got a nice traditional pub ambiance and tall ceilings so didnt feel stuffed like sardines.
I'm definitely coming back, salivating at the thought of it in fact.
D. E.One of the best bars in Stoke Newington. The beer selection is fantastic, the staff are lovely and the food is great (and really reasonably priced). The vibe inside is really chilled and enjoyable.
R. E.Indian food well worth making a trip for, delicious fresh curries and accompaniments on small plates. Recently discovered traditional Sunday roasts are great here too. The beer selection is perhaps the best in the area; particular favourites being Stiegl Weisse and Boon Kriek.
