Excellent... Absolutely delicious food. Tried a selection of starter and main courses all had great flavours and texture. Good selection of beers. Tried the Guinness but quick look around the other tables without punters regularly drinking, its doesn't hit home. Staff were so helpful lovely and very obliging. This wee diamond of a place was recommended to me and it was a good call. i visited the restrooms. When they were busy and they were still able to keep toilets clean. Plenty of tv's but not too loud to intrude on good conversation. Definitely management and staff working well together. A great atmosphere and buz. Kennington has come out of covid recession and looking forward to a bright future. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

My experience was totally positive. I have to say that the food was very good, delicious. Portion size was generous. Timing, average as any other restaurant, so no complaint. Customer service was lovely, there were at least two people checking on us in case we need something. I can say, this is a traditional pub with traditional food, well organized. Place was clean and it was not loudly, which was a plus, because that allows us to talk and share smiles and good energy. Overall, I felt happy with the service received. I recommend this place for groups, not only for families or friends. Well done to the management of the place.

Nice atmosphere, well kept beer and excellent pub grub, what's not to like! I had a couple of very acceptable pints of Landlord and the day's special, an excellent Shepherds Pie with seasonal vegetables, all very good. Table service was fast and efficient from friendly staff. I shall return. I did indeed return, this time having the sausage and mash as well as fried calamari as a starter. Both were excellent, but the calamari worthy of a special mention, crispy and tender just as they should be. I have lived in the Cyprus and now in in the Caribbean, but these Calamari stack up well to any I have eaten.

The place was busy, lively. The food was great, priced a little more than usual i found but definitely amazing food.. for a pub! The staff were friendly prompt and on the ball table service here was great. The music was loud and we were visiting the on a busy night so the place was quite full but again the staff were very good at making sure we were taken care of. Dogs welcome at this pub not too sure about disability toilets but definitely a welcome accommodating place. Would suggest calling ahead just to make sure there is space for a wheelchair. :) i thoroughly enjoyed the service and the vibe here :) Thank you to the staff and kitchen staff :)

Lovely sunday roast at The Kennington. It is my friends local and they had been talking about how good the roasts are here. I have to admit their hype was worth it. Always good when you can enjoy a pint and also see nice dogs in the pub too

We were there on a saturday evening and there was a football match playing so we got to experience the taste of a proper british pub atmosphere, which was nice. It was pretty full, but the food came pretty fast. The ribs with the sweet french fries were delicious. The thing i didn't like was that we had to wait long enough in order to see of we could sit at a table of 6 with a sign on it (we were only 3). No one welcomed us in, nobody from the staff was around, so we had to wait at the bar to ask.

Booked a table for 5 then changed it to 5.30 - no issue, very friendly. Our waiters were Ralph and Kara, amazingly welcoming and patient - our first order was changed 3 times and they were always cool about it. I personally really liked Kara, she was wacky but super helpful, professional and efficient. Ralph was always engaging and fun. I think this was my third visit over a couple of years, I've always felt welcome, but today i was particularly impressed by the service.

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Have eaten here a few times and generally pleased with service and quality. Reasonably priced food menu but can be a little inconsistent with what they serve, for example previously when I ordered the Chicken & Merguez skewers main I was given Chicken & sausages (pork) whilst this wasn’t a massive problem for me personally I was a little disappointed as it wasn’t what I ordered and felt staff could have explained prior to me ordering. Also chips/fries seem to vary on what they feel like cooking. Enjoyable in the main but a few kinks to be resolved, nice location and added bonus of being able to eat/drink outside.

Twice now we have come in to eat and drink here in the early evening and on both occasions have been greeted warmly and looked after very efficiently, with good, tasty food and an excellent range of local beers and wines. Good pub with nice cask ales including a personal favourite: Timothy Taylor's Landlord. The pub gets very busy both at lunchtime and in the evening, so make sure you book if you want to make sure you get a table. The other downside of the busyness is that food service at lunchtime was a quite slow, so not the best for a quick bite. Food is nice when you get it though!

Went here with my family for an early dinner. The kid's specials are such great value and the food is delicious. My kids loved the fish and chips. Lovely patio along the sidewalk and outside of the pub. Just note that if you have little ones, you need to finish up before 7pm.

I love this place. Tables for dining. Couches and board games for relaxing. The pulled pork burger was delicious and the cocktails were great. The interior is so nice. Been here a few times now after work and have a great time. Will definitively be a regular here after work with my fav colleagues.

hadn't been to The Kennington for a few years - can't remember why stopped going - but so glad went back today. Great service, attentive but not over obvious. The food was great, lamb was tender and belly pork crackling very crispy and tasty. The roast potatoes were great, best have had - not very often pub sunday roasts deliver crispy roast pots. Highly recommend and will definately be going back regularly. Great job guys.

A great pub that does great food. They're sunday roasts are the best in Oval and the portions would satisfy even the hungriest of bellies. It does get very busy, especially when the suns out but the staff are friendly and attentive, and quick to serve.

One of my favourite pubs in the area. It's got a great relaxed atmosphere for a weekend drink or a couple in the evening. The food is lovely too and if you head along to the Sunday quiz (it gets quite busy for this) they dish up extra roasties as part of the evening!! It's really well decorated as well and you can tell the owners actually care about their business.

Once upon a time was great food and reasonable price. No more The menu has been shrunk and prices up for no reason. The place is cozy but even drinks are quite high compared to other similar pubs. Double Gin&tonic 9,20£ and I was charged separately for the tiny bottle of tonic 1,30£?!! 😱 WTF?

Modest selection of beers, ales and ciders on tap but good diversity and quality. Good space indoors and outside with some tables outside offering patio heating. There are screens inside that show sports when something is on. Nice place for a beer. I've never tried the food yet but they sell biltong.

Decent pub with outdoor seating area. They often have good deals & happy hour offers. Great place to waste an afternoon with friends. Have subsequently had an opportunity to try their Sunday Roast offerings. We had the chicken breast & Old Spot pork belly & I'd say they were both good but not outstanding. For me the veg was a little over-cooked, but I tend to just wave my broccoli near a boiling kettle. Everything else was good, just, not stand-out / write-home fantastic. At £20 for 3 courses though, it's really rather decent I think. Portions were also good in thought. It's proximity to the park makes it perfect for a beer & a bite after a long lazy Sunday in the park.

There's nothing actually wrong with this place, it's very nice. It's just not a place I ever fancy going to. It's very popular, often see it rather busy at the end of a work day, and the food looks good. It just lacks something, a bit of soul perhaps? Really can't put my finger on it. The times I've been there I have been happy to leave after just one drink, as if I could feel my life gently draining away.

We visited The Kennington on a weekday lunchtime for some food. The staff were very welcoming and we were waited on at the table. The Kennington itself is a traditional British looking pub. Inside, it's very relaxed which enabled us to enjoy a leisurely lunch with good conversation. The food wasn't cheap (think restaurant prices rather than pub lunch) but it was very enjoyable. I'd happily return here for a Business meeting, lunch with friends or just to relax and unwind.

Decent sized pub right next to a busy road. The prices aren't great but are exactly what you'd expect in any rapidly-gentrifying London area. Didn't have any food but my friends did and seemed fairly happy!

Nice place with lots of outside seating. Good range of drinks and food. Quite pricey for the location. A pint of kronenburg was £5. Would expect that in the West end or inside the square mile. Pleasant enough for a quick drink. This is my personal opinion, not being comfortable to spend £30 on 6 pints plus another £25 on 3 JD and cokes. Some people may do so.

Like the pub itself a lot, but the pub quiz was pretty bad! Host spent way too long long talking and adored the sound of his own voice, and gave multiple choice options to some pretty simple general knowledge - we wanted to find a new place to quiz but won't be coming back, sorry!

Great little pub really close to the football pitches and tennis courts at Kennington. Reasonable prices, never that busy on a Monday - Wednesday and has outdoor seating for the summer months. Easily walking distance from Oval and bus stop right outside goes to Victoria.

Best pub restaurant in Lambeth; young helpful staff, and competent, inventive chef who produces delicious dishes at reasonable prices, make lunching or dining there a real pleasure. The interior is comfortable, spacious and well ventilated, but, there are also outdoor tables on Camberwell New Road, where customers can sit in hot weather. Pleasant mix of customers, mainly local residents, and business people who work in the adjacent business centre, which extends down to Brixton Road.

Tbh , after exellect service and friendly staff the most expensive thing on the menu then rib eye steak was a complete disappointment , dripped in the deep fat fryer and. Finished on the grill , Medium to well steak takes longer than 5 mins . The chefs were back drinking at the bar. Even before the Food was brought out. Got to say one thing. The spinach was really tasty. I say the staff were friendly but the no one of the 3 that were serving came to check if the food was ok. And when one of them took our plates , he’s said nothing. Not a Thankyou not A dersert menu offered. F*** all. Service charge what service. 2nd time there food has let the place down , word of advice . Sack the chefs
