Reviews of The King's Arms Wandsworth
G. M.
Great local pub , we had some food and drinks of course 😊 on a Friday evening ... We got a table outside in the garden , a great place to spend time with friends and fam for a catch up ..The place overall is a bit pricy .
I gave this review 5 stars because of the service , friendly, professional and fast for a Friday evening... The place was well busy and we felt looked after by the staff .
I recommend to book a table if you want to be outside in one the hut they are very popular .
E. A.
We absolutely loved our Christmas lunch at KA. The food was out of this world! The staff were super friendly. The Secret Garden is also such a fun space to be in.
S. C.
Lovely pub located close to the shopping centre. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Pre booked a Christmas lunch here with the girls. The pub had a very old school interior which was different. Toilets were clean. They also have a massive beer garden. Very nice venue.
I. S.
Great pub. Large space inside and various spaces outside too.
The regular burger is good. Go dirty if you if you need to though.
Happy, friendly staff.
J. D.
Impromptu bank holiday lunch.. lovely atmosphere, good outdoor space/distance and nice pub food. Loved the curley fries. Slight wait as short on servers, they did appear rushed of their feet. Service was polite.
M. J.
We go to an excellent value pub quiz on a Tuesday evening. It finishes around 10pm.
Nice wine and a very standard food offer.
K. P.
This pub is great! Food is nice and the garden is superb. I would have given 5* but recently the service is sub-optimal.
R. C.
Nice place, nice food and atmosphere
But please improve the dessert guys
6.50 for that
B. V.
Sensational atmosphere, staff, variety of drinks but most importantly to our intrepid adventure here at the Kings Arms; the quiz master Chazz. A maverick, a thirst trap, carrying an aura none other than god like, they transformed our evening into one I will simply never forget. Many would agree, a born entertainer and at the very least: A beautiful blessing to anyone’s Tuesday evening.

I came today late afternoon with my great friend. Lovely pub, beautiful garden, and really enjoyed the food. Need to mention Hannah our server. Funny, efficient, super friendly and really knew her stuff. We will definitely be coming back.
G. N.
Good service despite being a big pub. They have a nice indoor space with screens for sports but the main selling point is a lovely beer garden with covered areas as well as large tables and it’s own bar. Would recommend booking these outdoor tables well in advance though as it can get busy on weekends
N. M.
One of the nicest pubs in sw. Decent price. Gorgeous beer garden. Nice staff.
M.
We had late lunch, staff were friendly and helpful, food was very good but we could not stay for an extra drink or two because the heating was on too high and we found it nauseating.
S. B.
I really love this place, especially when the sun is shining to take full advantage of their wonderful beer garden! Or G&T garden in my case.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The food was nice. (Big pulled beef sandwich was lovely, meat was succulent and the bread was soft)
Cool ambience.
Will definitely go back again next time I'm in town.

We rented the outside canal side area for a casual wedding reception. The staff were very accomodating with the rainy weather and even allowed us to host inside until the rain cleared. Much appreciated considering how awful the weather has been of late.
Food was amazing and we all loved it. The Ox cheek platter and veggie sliders were a big hit. Portion sizes were MUCH bigger than anticipated and that was a lovely surprise.
All in all, a reasonably priced venue for hosting small gatherings, but in a more general setting it's a very chill atmosphere that's suitable for kids during the daytime.
l. f.
We had our wedding reception here and it was an absolute blast.
The staff are immensely friendly and helpful. They took our decorations and extra bits for the reception prior and held them for us on the day.
An amazing outdoor area with the huts and right next to the Wandle river.
Highly recommend.
F. M.
Went there for lunch with my friend. Lovely as always. :)
P. D.
Great bar had a nice few pints here staff excellent lovely atmosphere we'll be back
S. F.
Lively atmosphere, decent prices for drinks. Ordered cheesy chips and it came out like your grandmothers knickers..soggy and tasteless. Come for drinks but not the food. We also had the gammon croquettes and they were far too salty and a little over cooked.
M. D.
Such an amazing place for outdoors; the drinks are great and the table situation is super if you book ahead of time. Katie was absolutely incredible and if it wasn't for her fab service when we arrrived i think it would have been a very different afternoon! Thanks so much Katie!
O. B.
Good pub with an amazing secret outdoor area. I first went there last summer and was pleasantly surprised by the garden layout with all the tables and seating. Drinks are good not great but it's a pub so it's expected. I would recommend for summer evening parties
A. R.
Went there for rugby on Saturday. Always a good atmosphere but the service is awful recently.. I am not sure if it's the brexit effect, but it felt severely understaffed. Just last Saturday it took on average over 30 mins standing at the bar to get service.
T. B.
Nice experience. Friendly staff, drinks were pricey but had a lovely afternoon
J. G.
Really cool garden, loved the huts. Unassuming from the outside but we'll worth a visit! Nice roast, service OK.
W. B.
One of the daftest things said by a barperson was at this pub! When asked if they accept cash, the barperson said "Yes, but we can't give you any change"!
Bizarre.
I know that the trend of late, pandemic or otherwise, is to go card only. But sometimes you might not want to use a card, especially if you know the balance is getting low, and you do have cash in your wallet. The nearby Grapes, also a Youngs pub, was quite happy to accept cash. The Kings Arms not so.
Given also that the pint was a short measure, and at £5.20 for a pint of Proper Job, I'd be happy to pay less cash than was requested. But that wouldn't be cricket, would it?
K. S.
Katie managed our work do impeccably. In spite of everyone firing their orders on a frantic Friday night, she looked after us in a comforting professional manner! We felt like we were at home amongst good vibes in great settings!
M. A. (.
We ordered burgers wich where delicious and mulled wine. First glass was ok, second one half wine half leftovers from bottom of the pan 🤮
R. M.
10/10 atmosphere and food, outdoor garden area is absolutely amazing. Shoutout to Jessica, Malachi and Jason that provided us with a great service, from the moment we walked in to the very end. They are a credit to the pub 👏
K.
Really liked the food. Staff was helpful and friendly. Like outside area with all little hubs. Will definitely go back there!
R. V.
Very nice, quirky pub with great features and outside sitting areas. Very helpful and friendly event manager, it was a complete pleasure organizing an event with him and hosting a 30th Birthday in this establishment.
A. C.
Always a good crowd, music is spot on. The menu gets updated regularly and the food is epic! Perfect presentation, creative but not over the top and very yummy! Pet friendly and board games on top of everything else. Great pub overall.
D. R.
Very nice pub. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food menu (some would call them pricey but I'd say it's just about right for the food received) was very good. Very impressed with my Aberdeen Angus serloin steak. Nice small selection of lager at the bar. On Wandsworth high street, so no real local parking. Bus is easier.
N. R.
What a great pub. Looks good from the outside but just gets better the further you go in. It’s like a little adventure! First off it’s a nice size inside with lots of seating. Lagers, craft beers and lots of guest ales which is great. Walk out to the garden and oh my goodness! There are lots of stilted huts that you can reserve and have family and friends attend and enjoy a cozy time. There are even TVs inside the huts. Whilst you are in the huts there is waitress/waiter service. At weekends and evenings there is even friendly security discreetly patrolling the pub and garden grounds which is a nice touch. There is an outside bar with food available. I have eaten here and I have to say that it was delicious. Toilets are very clean and well stocked and the staff have a constant smile on their faces and are so friendly. Someone has put a lot of thought into this venue and deserves to reap the rewards. Disabled access. Brilliant pub.
E.
Absolutely love going to the King's Arms.
Great location, lovely outside huts and seating, classic decor, good food and fantastic selection of Gins.
A group of us were there on a Friday night, and we were well looked after, with the manager on the night (Mike) coming round to make sure we were all fine, and ensuring that we had a great evening. The rest of the staff we interacted with all evening were also all very friendly and professional.
Happily returning here again and and again.
S. V.
Good pub food and service.
Outdoor seating in small wooden huts for groups an intelligent solution in the current pandemic
B. B.
Good pub with hidden gem of large outside area. Wide variety of specialist beverages at a standard London price range
K. B.
Visited Saturday the 8th for my friends birthday, and was looked after by Frankie, (I left early so didn't catch the waitresses name but believe it was the same as the one on the receipt). As I am a hospitality worker, I really appreciate good customer service, and I have to say Frankie was absolutely fabulous. Offering help to set up, constantly checking in and engaging with us and a complete asset to the team on what seemed like a very busy shift. We had such a great night and I wanted to let the waitress know we really appreciated all her work!
M. C.
We were given a very small table, not ideal for 3 people planning to eat. Slow drinks service via app - requested fruit in drink, there was no fruit in drink. The roast itself (veggie Wellington) was very average. 3/5.
D. C. Q.
Was just such a great vibe you will have a great time here outdoor seating is gorgeous 😊
S. S.
Lovely outdoor covered seating area with patio heaters. Cosy and covid safe even when it’s a bit rainy and cold. The veggie burgers are decent too. Lost a star because it’s a bit on the pricey end. A pint of Camden Hells is over £6 which is steep even for London.
p. s.
Great place, good selection of beers & wine and lots of nice sitting to sit at, outside seemed a funky cool bar, inside bit more formal, great bar staff very friendly and funny
D. J.
Scrumptious roast pork and a wonderful plum crumble. The staff are very attentive and friendly.
D. D. R.
Well sorted pub with good beer selection, friendly staff and board games!
K. N.
Great pub, decent burgers, good beers and a big garden.
A. K.
The place is really cute and cosy, however, the menu is not correct.. for example, it says that some drinks will have 200ml but it's only 125ml.. if you order the same drink twice they might bring you different glasses (one much bigger than another one). I liked the place a lot but this stuff feels quite dodgy..
J. A.
Excellent venue, we had a fair few of us so it must have been difficult for the staff to keep up but they did a fairly good job. Drinks were around average sort of prices and the cocktails were delightful.
L. V.
Great pub, nice selection of g&t (not a fan of it, but I enjoyed at least one of the combination) and wine, and very good vegan burger.
Great outside area!
J. W.
Really lovely place to have an evening out. The garden is great.
T.
Great pub to have at the bottom of hill from us. Staff are super pleasant, food is awesome and reasonable for LDN, decent drinks selection and the seating options outside take some beating! 👍🏼👍🏼
R. S.
Olisa behind the bar was super welcoming and pours a great pint! He’s a keeper
A. W.
Had a great time here the other night. The bar staff were awesome and great banter! Will definitely be coming back!
C. W.
Loved the food, drinks and atmosphere. Garden was pleasant and well decorated. Staff assisted me in finding a place to plug in and provided great service! Will be back!
K. K.
Amy was really polite and attentive. Great experience overall, would defo come back with friends. Thanks Amy !!
S. M.
Hired a pod and enjoyed the privacy while being part of a lively area with everyone else. Attention from the staff was first class.
N. S.
Great staff got t-bone steak 2 sides and a pint of beer for £15 ,00 great value
Loved it
M. R.
Most delicious burger i ever have eaten , amazing !!!!!
E. P.
Their "lambslide" burger special is a national treasure. Good cocktail selection and their terrace amenities are the best in the area. Worth a try, I keep coming back, always share a laugh with the service.
J. G.
Good pub loads of cover and good atmosphere not the cheapest but it's been done up so nicely you don't mind the price . There is a burger shack loads of vegan options and a main kitchen for a variety of food . Definitely worth visiting
N. B.
Lovely pub with friendly staff! A great outdoor space which is covered with heaters so it works all year round! The only downside is it’s pretty pricey, so much so that it can’t be my local, but a lovely treat on the occasion.
Δ. Ν.
Best Cod n Chips ever had in a pub. Service is excellent, smiley faces everywhere.... Thank you will be back soon
T. C.
Booked an outside area, was nice and the staff were really friendly and felt good to be out but also far enough away from others in the area.
A. M.
Great pub - lovely interior and garden (even in the winter, the garden is covered). Food menu is varied and delicious. Staff are very friendly - I brought a cake for a friend's birthday and they kindly kept it in the kitchen until it was time to surprise her!
J. D.
Nice atmosphere in a secluded beer garden. Loved the fish and chips. Staff was a bit slow in giving us a table at a heater despite the fact that loads of tables were available.
S. T.
I've now been here for a Sunday Roast here 3 times and the quality of food has deteriorated with every visit. For the prices charged you'd expect better.
Having said that, the pub has a great atmosphere and lovely outside area. The normal menu has lots of options and doesn't disappoint.
M. R.
Overall nice pub with a lovely space outside. Our drinks were good too but the food was really disappointing, especially for the price we paid.
I ordered a vegetarian roast which was a surprisingly massive slab of minced chickpeas with trimmings and a thick red pepper sauce. It didn’t really taste like anything and was unsurprisingly dry. I expected a bit more, especially after reading they had a nice vegetarian offer on their website.
There are many delicious roast recipes out there, i would highly recommend looking into this.
E. M.
Wonderful place…service is beyond compare! Julia went above and beyond, we had a problem that she sorted out for us…what a lovely girl!!
M. G. D. C. G.
Lovely pub/bar, great and friendly customer service. The vibe is also good especially outside (book in advance)
F. B.
Great pub and staff, especially Olisa!
A.
Lovely beer garden and helpful staff.
S. S.
Really good food and one of the best outdoor seating areas
L. S.
What a lovely evening in one of the funky beach huts! Service and food was great and my puppy got a warm welcome too! Thanks!
K. M.
Garden hut was great, good service, heater available, good music, good and drink. Great option for autumn in tier 2 and imagine a great shout for summer drinks. No idea the secret garden would be so spacious
I. H.
Good food, beers. Staff a little overrun during a busy sunday
c.
Great beer garden, decent selection of beers, a little on the pricey side. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Really helpful, friendly staff, would definitely visit again.
P. M.
Great refurbished pub with large garden on the banks of the Wandle River on the edge of the old Young's brewery site, now the Ram Quarter.
J. G.
Portion sizes vary wildly.
When the waitress told us that they couldn't guarantee that the chips accompanying the fillet would be gluten free my friend was left umming and ahhing over whether to order something else instead. The waitress then suggested they replace the chips with a salad. "It's a really nice salad" we were assured. When it came it was your bog-standard limp iceberg, tasteless tomatoes and cucumber drowned in commercially made vinaigrette. This was all the more frustrating given that they had far more exciting salads on their menu.
None of this is going to ruin your day, but it doesn't exactly leave you desperate to return either.
M. S.
I'm struggling to understand how I have never been here before! Sublime roast, really friendly service and a great atmosphere! Thankyou so much!
K. S.
Great pub, Charles behind the bar was super nice and welcoming. Would recommended 👍
A. B.
We came in yesterday for the football. It was brilliant. Great pub. However, we all found the food really expensive. We hired a hut, ordered " sharers " and, although tasty, massively expensive. However, the highlight ( apart from the England score ) was Hannah. That girl does not stop. In that heat, with that amount of people,we could not get over how great she was. Great day.
E. L. (.
Lovely atmosphere, busy and lovely, friendly staff, dog friendly, cool aesthetic.
A. T.
Great place lovely outside secret garden. Barman recommended a new beer to try Banana Bread Beer, amazing! We were served by amazing waitress Hanna, lovely girl who chatted to us and even remembered us when we went back the following day. Made us feel really welcome . Would not hesitate to recommend to friends as a great place.
M. l.
Reasonable prices, great summer garden with heaters, standard beers and friendly service.
I. S.
What a hidden gem! Amazing garden and great cocktails!
D. G.
Very pleasant pub.Decent prices. Not too full so social distancing kept. Helpful staff.
C. D.
This was a nice surprise. From the outside it looks like any regular fancy pub, but it has the biggest outdoor space in the back. Very well decorated and with a wide variety of drinks and food. It is also feels a lot homier/family oriented that other big pubs in the area (like The Ship, which also has a big outdoor space).
D. C.
This is a great pub in the heart of Wandsworth. It looks small from the street but it's actually pretty spacious once you are inside. The main bar and cosy second room are beautifully decorated and have a classy but comfortable feel to them. The big selling point for The King's Arms has to be it's beautiful beer garden - it's huge. Heated cabins, swing seats and tables right down to the canal make the most of the space and there's even another bar out there. This place is definitely worth checking out.
C. Z.
Great pub! Pub food is surprisingly good and atmosphere is fabulous.
F. E.
Would have rated this a 5 star if it wasn’t for the inconsistency. Had an amazing roast here (with possibly the best gravy I have ever had). Came back the weekend after and the gravy was basically a watery stock cube (possibly the worst gravy I have had). Atmosphere is lovely and the outside area is quirky.
C. L.
Service very good and friendly. Had a lovely couple of pints and it's a great venue. The wings however were unacceptable, bony little deep fried shrimpy things that looked like something you'd be served when you're on holiday in Greece or Africa and go to a dodgy cafe. £8.50 they were. That, a Guinness and a glass of wine came to £25
C. N.
Love this place wont go anywhere else I'm from America and have only gone here on my holidays the staff is so nice the food is amazing
s. f.
Love the refurbishment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loving the vegan options on the menu and special thanks to vegan Hannah for the friendly service and food tips! Can’t wait to try the roast. Amazing to sit in such a lovely garden and watch the football and hear some good music. Will definitely be a regular visitor!
K. M.
The pub has just reopened after a refurb and it’s very nice inside and out. The bar is stylish, clean and spacious. The outside area is great with lots of seating and features with its own outside bar. There’s a great selection of gin which kept me happy. There was live music on when I was there but it was unobtrusive and enjoyable. I tried one of the veggie options (quinoa balls) which were healthier than I would normally choose but it was very good. My friend also enjoyed her food.
c. b.
Superb fish and chips. Good service, just a bit pricy x
M. J.
Brilliant pub. Spent all Saturday in the garden, felt like being at a festival. Our waitress Hannah was incredible, she worked the whole area on her own and we couldn't believe how hard she worked, big " shout out " to her. Food was delicious too. Recommend this pub massively.
J. (.
I honestly don't know due to I never been how ever I may go there in future
B. O.
Background = I went here in July 2018 for a pub lunch.
Pros = staff were friendly and attentive, pricing not excessive, venue (especially beer garden overlooking the old brewery) is lovely. The revamp worked really well.
Cons = food portions are pretty small.
M. M.
Had a few drinks in the beer garden, even though it was raining we had an amazing time. A huge thanks to Hannah for looking after us, brilliant service, including CBeebies for our 15 month old twins in hut No.2!!!!!! Very child friendly pub and great staff.
O. M.
Absolutely love this place. A cracking selection of beer on tap (Beavertown...wayyyy!!!!) and a seasonal menu that is always well presented and cooked. The garden is the pub's USP. The huts are really well made and comfortable. There are also plenty of other tables for people to sit down and get comfortable. Service is friendly and prompt. The secondary bar in the garden helps keep queues at bay too. Overall, this is one of my favourite pubs in SW18.
L. V.
Great pub in the heart of Wandsworth High Street, a few steps from Southside Shopping Centre. It has been recently redecorated and they've done such a great job! Big windows to the street, a big cosy garden area ("feels like being on holidays", a friend said) and a great variety of food complete this amazing place. The staff is really friendly and service is top notch.
S. D.
Tried this place out for the first time and we walked in and the bar was empty .. but we had heard there was a nice beer garden and turns out that's where everyone was! Great beer garden with little beach huts, table tennis table, music and a really nice atmosphere. Pleased we stayed. Friendly and helpful bar staff too.
C. D.
Flew in yesterday from The States, stumbled across this pub today. It’s great, amazing burgers, and excellent service. Hannah G served me, gave great recommendations on the menu, and introduced me to Neck Oil beer ( great shout ). Will return next time I’m in town...
H. G.
just had probably THE BEST Sunday roast ever...absolutely spot on. finally a roast with a good selection of vegetables, really nicely cooked meat, and served hot. Brilliant pub, brilliant staff.
L. M.
Went here with a large group of friends which helped, but the outdoor terrace with the beach huts is a fantastic setting on a bright summer evening as it was for us. The swing seats by the cocktail bar, the football table as well as the fairy lights gives this place a kick-back-and-relax feel to it. I would not be surprised if it were to be full of people at the end of the working week!
The process of ordering food is slightly complicated, but it being my first time there I imagine it'll be easier next time round. Food & drink is a little on the expensive side (I wish cocktails were £5 from 12-9pm, not 12-8pm) but it tasted brilliant! Overall a really nice atmosphere along with good music from the DJ. It's definitely a place to visit!
C. J.
Went to the RuPaul's Drag Race UK finals event yesterday with some friends and colleagues and had such a lovely evening. We had been looking forward to it all week, and it exceeded all our expectations. We were in the private room and it had been decorated with so many thoughtful Rupaul relevant details. The room was extremely cosy and we all agreed that it is the perfect space to rent out for birthdays etc.
The staff were fantastic, really friendly and attentive. We ordered a burger each prior to the event and it was delicious.
Hands down to the organiser - we will definitely return for future similar events and recommend to friends.
Shantay, you stay.

Great ambiance ,nice garden , I would be back again.
C. S.
Raul was great! Service was fast and efficient from everyone the entire evening, thoroughly entertaining. :) Thanks Raul from the group of four intimidating feminists.
N. R.
Went on the opening weekend following the refurbishment, the new look on the garden is great with little huts. The new food menu is lovely and for the first time in over a year, they are now doing Roast dinners. The braised shin of beef pie is highly recommended.
R. C.
The beer garden was a real surprise and treat, a little oasis in the middle of Wandsworth. Nice service, pub and people
l. h.
Love the new look and outdoor area is fabulous for summer! I imagine in the rain the little huts will also provide great shelter. A great buzz with staff who are super smiley and eager to please. Especially hannah from the North, she was top notch! Tasty burgers too!!!
N. M.
Fantastic pub! Thank you very much to Matt and his team for looking after us so well yesterday! Great service, great food and our group had the perfect spot in one of the garden huts! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
R. S.
Fantastic place great beer great food and lovely staff
R. G.
My son and his wife had a small party in the garden area. Great place for a small gathering. Good for children.Surprising they've got such a large garden area considering they're in the middle of a real estate hotspot. Menu a bit limited but very tasty. Didn't expect a marguerita pizza to taste so nice. Well looked after by staff.
O. K.
I just wanna say BIG THANK YOU to the staff at The Kings Arms in Wandsworth.
I took my beautiful girlfriend there for a surprise birthday party in their beer garden with the nice looking huts.
A good few hours before, I took some bits to the pub to decorate the hut. The staff was very helpful with in making sure the hut would look fab which it was..
The pub had a life singer inside and he was fab. He even sung happy birthday to my girlfriend while Hannah brought out the birthday cake.
#Hannahisfab
My night planned for the surprise birthday is all to do with Hannah and everyone who works for The Kings Arms for making it the fab night it was...
Thank you again for helping me give my girlfriend a lovely birthday 🎂
r.
Charcuterie boards are a huge rip off - avoid. Meat one consisted of cheap salami, few bits of bread, small amount of ham and about 8 poor quality olives, for £24. Burgers are better.
P. C.
My partner and myself popped in there for a quick drink and was very impressed with how much it's changed .
I used to use the pub years ago .
The service was great , and the lady who served us was very friendly and welcoming.
Tracy and myself loved the garden , especially the outside bar .
I can guarantee you all that this is a must pub to visit if your ever in wandsworth .
D. D.
Surprising how big and nice this pub is, has a variety of areas you can hire for a party. YOU have to check out the lovely garden in the summer, it feels like you're on holiday with the beach bar in the middle, massive gardens and huts that fir 10+ people in each, plus speakers dotted around to help get the party going. This is a gem, don't just walk past pop in and have a look.
D. G.
Booked this venue well in advance when still run by Grand union pub company. Was a bit apprehensive after reading reviews but my daughter and her six friends still went there for her 18th birthday. We booked a beach hut and ordered food and cocktails for the party.
Everything was brilliant, food, drinks and music. All staff, including Security were very friendly and helpful and they all looked after the seven girls. I was also worried that the £50 deposit would be overlooked but this went towards the bar bill and they even gave her and her friends a free bottle of prosecco to help with the celebrations. Cannot fault the place, excellent.
G. M.
J. Y.
The garden is wonderful space, however this is where the wonder stops. Altercations between patrons disrupted the atmosphere and a large security presence made us feel a little on edge. The drinks are expensive, even for London. The classic burger lacked sauce, the brioche bun was not toasted and incredibly dry. Overall the food a little disappointing
E. M.
Great place. Huts outside are great for Covid requirements. Good selection of drinks, nice staff and good food. Food a little expensive for what it was, but overall very good.
S. L.
Great atmosphere, beer garden is one of the best in London, went for Lunch Thursday and Drinks Friday.
A. C.
The pub itself is well decorated in updated traditional style with comfy armchairs and open fire but the real jewel in the crown is the garden. The space has been maximised for year round use with heated huts and a big top style canopy. In addition there are swinging cane chairs, flaming heaters and fairy lights with additional seating at the back overlooking the river Wandle. The area is self contained with its own bar and toilets so you can actually spend the night there without going into the actual pub. This misses 5 stars due to the food which has some really odd combinations of ingredients and on the two occasions I’ve eaten there they’d run out of my choice and I ended up with chips. Also they have some good live musicians playing to a half empty pub when everyone is outside only to stop the music once everyone comes in when the garden closes! People came in wanting to dance only to find the music had finished. Why not put it on later‽
C. L.
Great atmosphere in the outside garden, with quick service and helpful staff.
L. M.
Had a lovely first evening back in the King's Arms post lockdown. Lots of space and good attentive service, nice food. And a keen eye on social distancing and hygiene precautions. Will be back
B. m.
Super Sunday lunch and staff are very proffessional and friendly.
T. W.
Lovely pub with a superb beer garden!
P. J.
Amazing place, great food, huge portion sizes and lovely cold beer 🍺
W. D.
Garden = flawless; food = delicious; price = considerable.
The King’s Arms is a delightful treat on a dying Wandsworth High Street. Entering through the front leads you into a rather quiet pub however the funs out back in the spacious beer garden!
The view is good and sitting just off the bank of thee picturesque Wandle River is the icing on the cake. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a mouse.
K. P.
Good food and fun, friendly vibe.
A. S.
Fantastic bar really nice relaxed ambient feel to the place staff really nice
S.
Outdoor terrace was a really cool setting, food was alright. We were seated in a Hut that was reserved 40 mins after we arrived, so while still having our meal, we were asked "Can I bring you the bill?". We were asked to leave because the party for whom the Hut was reserved for had arrived. Not great service.
S. T.
C. C.
Absolutely incredible Sunday roast. Well priced, deliciously cooked and tender meats, amazing Yorkshire and omg the gravy. I could drink the gravy. check it out if you want a relaxed place to spend a Sunday with a great beer garden.
R.
First time back since the refurb and can't believe the difference! Great garden, great atmosphere and great staff, especially Steve the Irishman who insisted on going inside to get me a Guinness as they didn't have it in the garden bar. Only negative was the mosquitos! Will definitely be back! Keep up the good work!
D. H.
Good Sunday lunch with prompt service
S. G.
Came last night for the first time. Was met by a lovely member of staff, she chatted with us, showed us to a hut, brought us blankets ( we were freezing ) and chatted us through the menu. The food was outstanding. Particularly the quinoa meatballs, because eating out as a vegan is usually the pits! Well done Kings Arms, this pub is a winner, and THANKYOU Hannah.
B. A.
New to the area and decided to pick this pub to take my folks for a bit of lunch. Food was great and the staff very helpful and friendly.
Had a peek at the outside area. Looks terrific for the summer months. I’ll defo be back. My new fav local!
D. M.
The Armoury is a great private space that gives you the feeling of having a pub to yourself, not just a room or space.
Sharing platters really good for a large party - the sliders, baked camembert and sausages especially.
Recommend.
R. E.
These are strange times but once tucked up under the 'big top' in the garden, things felt almost normal. The team couldn't do enough for us even though they were run off their feet having to serve food to everyone!
G. A.
I'm a tad conflicted about this place. On one hand, it's a welcome sight in an area where nice pubs are sorely lacking, and has one of the most magnificent beer gardens I've ever come across. The interior is lovely, nicely decorated and the food is decent too, if a little towards the pricey side. On stepping into the pub, you could easily convince yourself that you need not enter another pub in the area again.
But the big letdown is the service. The staff are, how to put this, a little standoffish (and have found this over a few visits). And not overly helpful.
The incident I experienced mat have been isolated, but has played on my mind. Their huge beer garden was kitted out with a TV screen in every conceivable corner, which I can only assume was for Euro 2012. Thirty seconds before kick-off, pumping disco music was still playing. On checking with the bar staff, we were told that no commentary would be turn on for any TV (and it's worth saying there were at least 14 TVs) and nor would it be turned on. "You can watch it, but you can't hear it," were the words used. Although not everybody was watching, there were groups huddled around televisions to watch the game.
At half time, we left to find a pub with commentary. On returning just before 10pm, they were charging £5 for entry. We were told in no uncertain terms, if we didn't like it, we could go elsewhere. So we did.
That said, I'd still return here, because it is a lovely pub. But I'll avoid Saturday nights or football games.
R. D.
A good solution to Tier 2 restrictions with nice tables outside. Warm enough. Decent pub food, good service, lively atmosphere.
N. O.
The garden is so much better than before. The menu has also improved. If you haven't been here for awhile its worth another try
M. P.
Just watched a member of staff spit on the floor and smoking is allowed in the covered outside area, though I think this might breach smoking legislation.
On the plus side the outside area is very pretty, 10x better than under previous ownership.
E.
Really nice huge garden very friendly staff but disappointing drinks and cocktails selection.
a. f.
Nice outdoors area, perfect in the summer. Saturday seems to be the busy night.
Food is ok, burger menu went a bit weird with everything classed as optional additions and the standard serving literally a burger in a bun... with no chips
one of a couple of decent places in the area
J. P.
Happy place to be.
Everybody so friendly xxx
A. S.
I spent the afternoon here with friends for food and drinks, and just to say I’ve watched Hannah work so hard and single handedly running the food and tables outside. Very impressed with her hard work and service. She went above and beyond for our table, had a lovely experience and will definitely return.
C. G.
Don't get to visit much as I no longer live in London. But I've been going here since it was Grand Union. The beer garden is about the best I've ever been to in the uk(weirdly enough, the best beer garden ever was in Florida). The staff are very smiley and friendly, which is a deal breaker for me. I've been known to order drinks/food at place but, have staff be rude or miserable and I've walked out.
It's really clean and the toilets don't smell like sewage, the prices aren't extortionate considering it's in a really annoying part of Wandsworth where you have "cool" people and the pretend rich mixing with the actually wealthy. Haha. (think fancy coffee shops, shabby-chic, Boho, people using Macbooks at the table and white wooden blinds on windows of townhouses) 😂.
AND did I mention that the garden is flipping amazing?! I would say that they should put more heaters out or have some in the huts. It's England.
Definitely a must-try! If you're cool enough to frequent Wandsworth. 😉
L. B.
Nice place with a rear garden, live music and good beer
S. W.
Awesome chilled pub for hanging out in the day-time. Cool beach huts, good food, and great smiley service from Hannah (lady with lovely curly hair) who looked after us last Saturday.
G. D.
Felt extremely welcome as soon as i walked through the door. Was treated to a delicious Passionfruit Martini by a great guy, Kofi. Lovely staff and venue! High recommended
M. D.
Exceptional pub. Food on point, service consistently good, covid security is assured. Nothing in Wandsworth beats a sunny pint in the Kings Arms.
M. F.
Really tasty/affordable food and friendly staff (matt). The new beer garden is a refreshing change from the standard boring gardens. It's also huge, and backs onto the river.
I. H.
Great place to be, great service my friends and I had so much fun
L. C.
Lovely garden, great food & drinks! We chose and ordered everything through their app which was nice and easy!
R. L.
Had great night on my friends birthday ... a lady called karlee kept us well looked after. She was great and made our night fun.. garden area is great even when it's chilly with Heaters. Loved it music was decent.
M. C.
Really great food. The outdoor dining space is fabulous.
I. L. H.
I really like the pub with cute huts you can reserve for a party, but the drink and food prices are high compared to other places.
a. l.
The terrace it's great but you need to book previously especially on weekend or summer time , the prices are a bit expensive in my opinion( 6.50 for a pint).Good service and staff
N. S.
My first visit and will definitely be back. Everything was amazing - great space, great vibe, amazing food (you must try the halloumi & burrata!!) and the most attentive staff! Thank you King's Arms!!
N. H.
Expensive but has an enormous covered area outside with heaters
T. D.
£6.25 a pint 💸💸💸 burger was ok but roast was the the only reason it got three stars
L. M.
Great atmosphere outdoors, service very quick. Brilliant venue
D. B.
If it was for looks alone the beer garden would be 5 stars with its beach theme and awesome atmosphere however the cocktails tasted watered down and they had run out of ingredients for almost everything. Burger was pretty epic though.
J. H.
Really nice pub. Has a great beer garden and outside bar alongside the river Wandle. Get one of the huts in the beer garden if you are in a group. Serves some local beers and lager.
A. G.
First class location, good friendly service and good beer/grub.
E. S.
Great service good food and cocktails.
K. M.
Often hard to get a table and occasionally unhelpful staff.
It does have a great outdoor space and the food is pretty good.
S. D.
Wonderful pub, combining great hospitality with covid safety brilliantly. Well done!
W. H.
Fantastic Sunday Roast, beef was amazing. Portions healthy and we left feeling very satisfied. Staff were brilliant as usual.

D. B.
Great hospitality....if your a burger person like me,there burgers are amazing...also try the lamb chips(to die for). Place has everything from the look, the atmosphere and the range of drinks.
J. H.
Great little pub with a great atmosphere, plenty of things going on like quizzes and live music, probably the best beer garden around
K. W.
Food was tasty but the portion sizes were a lot smaller than I'd expect for a main meal.
C. W.
Lovely place. Some staff more friendly than others but still a good night out.
A. H.
The huts in the garden are fantastic for medium size groups. Could do with something to eat your burgers off though - they didn't bring a player or anything!
E. K.
Thanks Matt and everyone at Kings Arms - refurbishment is amazing, the garden bar is brilliant and the cocktails better than ever. Definitely a must visit spot in SW London!
R. R.

Was there as a contractor and they made me a cuppa. How unusual.
C. S.
Great pub. On the pricey side but it is Wandsworth. Lovely decor with different rooms - classier than most pubs!
k. r.
Internally not the nicest pub but one of the best beer gardens I have been to in London
J. F.

Good food and veggie options.
Good beer selection
K. O.
Boooooom this place rocked......sooooo I order a fish finger sarnie, and what comes out is still battered piece of cod godliness with all the trimmings, others in our merry gang regaled tales of yummies too, happy full tummies all round. Staff were a chipper smily bunch and the place itself has a cracking outdoor space with its own bar ....win win win
R. H.
Very relaxed and stylish interior, EXCELLENT garden with swing chairs. Haven’t eaten there yet so can’t comment but my friend and I loved the place on first visit.
O. G.

Very good food, and decent portion size for price paid. Wish it was open later than 2300 though, seems quite an early time to close considering its location.
N. R.
A great place to chill in the centre of Wandsworth. Great beers, friendly staff and an awesome garden. Good food too.

Came last night. The best pub. Food was awesome. Unbelievable service, Hannah in particular. My new “ go to “ pub...

Niger buzzing atmosphere and tasty food. But waiting times for cocktails are ridiculously long and the time you spend queuing really spoils the evening.
