Reviews of The Latchmere
K. P.
My partner and I had our wedding celebration at The Latchmere in November 2021 and could not be happier with our decision to do so. Working with Corbin was seamless and efficient and on the day he and his team were so great it just made the experience even better. The food was incredible and they were really open to allowing us to customise the experience in the way we wanted. The atmosphere of the pub was so perfect and fit the exact vibe we wanted to have for our wedding day. Would highly recommend other couples looking for a chill, but really fun wedding experience to consider them. Or honestly just going in for the food and drink in general!
A. C. (.
Best Sunday roast I think I've ever had. Staff were really friendly and personable. Place was a little noisy but like in a good atmosphere kind of way. Would highly recommend and I can't stop thinking about that roast!!
T. A.
Would give this 5 star but there's management that brings personal drama to the pub and the tears create tension, ruining the atmosphere unfortunately. Very unprofessional, it's a shame. Other than unwelcoming management - the atmosphere was brilliant, hip and young, with the charm of being humble but stylish. The food is the best part in my opinion, because its fresh and made in the day, prepped in the morning, what you would expect of a restaurant, not a bar/pub. The bar staff are really friendly and attentive so makes the experience a lot better, they provide great light hearted banter. This place really does attract the good kind of punters... would still recommend
E. B.
Great pub for a Sunday roast, the Yorkshire puddings are absolutely massive and the meat and veg are perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The desserts are worthwhile and come with a decent dollop of ice cream. Could've been hotter, but that's the only criticism. The service was excellent.
C.
Really lovely food, huge portions, I mean check out the size of that Yorkshire pudding 🤤
I don't know if it's always available but they have a slow roast brisket special on Sundays which I'd highly recommend.
The service is top notch too and the outdoor seating is great and catches lots of sun.
For Battersea, pretty well decent value for money too.
D. H.
Nice pub. Staff a bit slow getting served and it was very busy. Nice decor though.
G. L.
Not entirely sure what’s going on here. Lot of turnaround of staff. Regular staff are absolutely brilliant, but the assistant manager is utterly rude and objectionable. Waited for her to take the time to acknowledge my presence, asked for a pint, it was slammed down and I had to ask for it to be topped up as a result. No smile, no please, no thank you. Just absolute distain. She continued to demonstrate an appalling attitude towards all customers. I was waiting for service later and she instead messed around on her personal mobile phone. Hasten to add that the regular staff were ace and I feel sorry that they have to work alongside such a person.
Been here many times over many years. Would be reluctant to do so again.
T. A.
Corbin/Corbyn is very friendly. Loved our spontaneous visit! He’s an honorary member of our group now ❤️
R. C.
Truly good roast, we had 3 different ones and very much enjoyed it! The beer garden is really sweet too. The bartenders could be friendlier, but the waiters made up for it! Would go back.
I. M.
Best steak I have had in a while! Picked a quiet time to go in, staff attentive and helpful. Not overbearing, might have to kidnap the chef though! Steak on point, medium rare with a delicious bernaise sauce. Perfectly seasoned and tender. Omg the sticky toffee date pudding was to die for ❤️😍Full marks 5*
G. C.
Good Sunday roast. Decent service. Roast pork was probably the best out of all the meat options we tried. Bit noisy from the roads when the windows are open on a hot day though.
V. B.
Delicious food - beef roast. Very attentive staff. Lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon in their garden.
R. S.
Great atmosphere and friendly service in a classic pub environment. We found the menu to be a cut above most pubs.
J. W.
Excellent food and service. We enjoyed a pre-show menu including a spinach and artichoke starter, aubergine with vegetables, and chocolate brownie with ice cream. Highly recommend.
N. S.
Such a cute pub! Very friendly and prompt service. Super good deals on mains between 6pm-7pm weekdays for 10£ (or 15£ for two courses I think). My friend and I split the main and were stuffed. So a pint of beer and a meal for 10£ each! Can't hardly beat that for a very nice place.
G. L.
First time ever here and what a fantastic place. The fish and chips are amazing and the pea purée is exceptional. I’d recommend it highly.
A. K.
The food was great and reasonably priced. The drink selection is good. The atmosphere is also good. On the evening I visited they had a live DJ and the sound quality was great.
C. D.
Love this pub! Great space with outside tables and friendly staff. Great food. Nice detail, they have a small theatre on the first floor that usually have quite interesting plays! Can't recommend enough!
T. H.
Great roast. Dog friendly. Decent selection of around 10 beers. Perspex screens for between tables. Lovely serving staff. Outdoor area as well. Highly recommend this pub.
M. S.
A nice pub for a football game - great choice of beer, not so great for snacks. Prices were very high - a tiny portion of nuts would cost you around £3,50. Staff is nice.
N. B.
Good pub with lots of vegetarian options and friendly staff.
D. D.
Great Sunday roast. Fantastic service.
J. N.
Excellent quality, traditional, pub food menu. Really good service too. And this was on a busy bank holiday weekend. We had a great time. Thank you.
A. L.
Amazing food, great service, my kids loved the food and said it was delicious, I enjoyed the pints of Moretti :)
A. S.
Great Sunday roast, and cosy garden with heaters
E. K.
Great play area. Could do with a tidy though. Tired place but very fun staff and food for sports.
C. O.
A big thank you to Corbin and the team for a fantastic afternoon for my Nan’s wake. Covid measures well in place. The food that was supplied was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Corbin was very accommodating from start to finish and really made the day special for myself and my family. Would highly recommend The Latchmere not only for a local but for an event venue.
S. B.
Great local pub , staff uber friendly , service great !
M. J. B.
Nice quite large Edwardian period pub. Serving all types of beverages including decent real ales. On the rather expensive side (£5+ a pint, £15 for pie and mash) but a nice place to meet a few mates and put the world to rights! Upstairs is Theatre 503 which, pre Covid, had a wide range of shows on from plays to comedy and monologues. Easy to get to via bus (44, 49, 319, 344 and 345, short walk from 170 and 19) and train/Overground at Clapham Junction.
I. T.
Staff very helpful beer good and on the correct side of Battersea Bridge.
J. M.
Classic interior, fair range of beer and a decent menu. We went for the quiz which was very good (not too esoteric). The fun night made it a 4 star rather than 3 review, as there's little unique about the place except it also has a theatre upstairs (although haven't been). Downsides were they were out of some food dishes even though we arrived before 7pm, and I found the food average rather than good. The staff were nice and friendly.
S. W.
Lovely pub, great vibe, good food and really great bar service who were very attentive throughout the evening
S. D.
Great food. Much improved from my last visit.
Reasonable prices, extensive selection of beers.
Wide screen tv for important sporting events.
Pleasant clientele. More down to earth than the
typical crowd one would find in neighbouring Chelsea, north of the river.
D. O. d. L. M.
Great pub with a lot of charm, good food and drinks and comfortable sofas. Pets friendly and back garden
S. M.
Booked a large area for 18 people and have left extremely happy. The staff had the best area sorted for us and greeted us with genuine warmth. They were competely flexible with the timings of the food, delivered everything hot and on time and dealt graciously with all the demands of such a big group. The food was amazing and the kids could play in the safe, enclosed outdoor area. In conclusion - if I were a pub landlord, I would send my staff here for the day to see just how it's done. Thank you!
K. K.
Great pub with a nice beer garden out back including a small children's playground.
M. P.
I went to this lovely cosy pub last weekend for a roast and had a great time. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. The place itself is very clean and warm.. The ambience is great for anyone who wants a relaxing time. Special thanks to Amanda and Dan who were very attentive and professional.. They looked after me very well. Many thanks guys, I'll definitely be back soon!
R. W.
Great Sunday lunch. Nice atmosphere and good service
B. S.
Great outdoor garden with booths and yummy sea bass especially (esp with the 50 per cent offer!) . Shame waiter didn't know what drink was free with the free drink offer and I then needed to pay for it...
J. V.
Excellent service! Yanick was THE best waiter we've ever had. Such a cool vibe.
S. K.
This is one of my locals because of the consistency and combination of very friendly staff, delicious food and decent wine. The beer garden is spacious. We have visited the 503 Theatre upstairs and seen some quality plays. We always enjoy a relaxing afternoon in The Latchmere and they are dog friendly.
J. D.
Lovely staff, nice space. Can't testify to the food but nice spot :)
M. B.
Fantastic deal for 50% off some fantastic food. We had mussels and chips to share and a steak and all was delicious. It may be because it was earlier and therefore quieter but I have to say service was really great too. Will definitely be back (thoroughly enjoyed our £5 show in the theatre next door too). Though I must say pints for £6 is quite a lot but maybe that is as I'm used to Scottish pricing. I also did some work here in the afternoon the WiFi is a 7/10.
B. L.
The best tasting Sunday roast I've had in London in many many years. Friendly staff, nice beer and baby friendly.
J. J.
Very good pub, really friendly staff and a great beer garden.
Dining only area does take up majority of the space so it can get a little cramped if you are just going for a drink - especially when watching sport.
S. B.
Amazing pork belly roast with the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen. Great service that was polite and quick. Nice atmosphere to enjoy a Sunday roast with friends.
L. O.
Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Friendly *well trained* and friendly staff. When we last visited, the young woman who I think is the supervisor was managing a very busy night of diners and people in the bar with seemingly effortless charm, skill and professionalism.
O. R.
Really nice pub. They have a great menu, the Sunday roast is a particular favourite. Great beer selection and a large outdoor space, which is nice in the summer. With the introduction of Tastecard the food will be reasonably priced, and drinks prices are normal for the area
D.
Lovely looking pub that feels like it has lots of space which is good for central London. Nice out door eating area which is away from the road. Doesn't get too busy for lunch during the week. Gets pretty packed on a Friday and Saturday night. Staff were very friendly and they have free water at the bar. Quite weak WiFi.
A. J.
Good place to watch football. £5.50 Scotch Egg. Insane price but absolutely delicious. 💰🤷♂️
C. M.
Excellent food again at this very reliable pub. Friendly service too. Altogether a pleasure- we’ll be back.
M. L.
I didn’t go in but I didn’t need to. That sign you have out the front saying you have a garden is just so good. It’s big, it’s bold, it’s beautiful.
D. C.
A great pub, really close to battersea Park. The staff were super friendly and although we hadn't booked still managed to find us a great seat outside in the garden. We had a booth with a heater which was perfect for the weather and also during covid times. The pub was very hygienic and social distancing was adhered to everywhere. They have a great selection of beers and although we didn't eat, the food we saw come out looked great. We would happily go back there again and will likely stop by when we go for a walk around battersea Park. They had a normal selection of beers but also offer cocktails as well which some of the other pubs in the area do not offer. The pub has clearly been there for a while because the bus stop nearby carries its name as well.
F. V.
Nice and cosy atmosphere. I was there on Saturday lunch time. Ezgi was serving to us, she was super friendly and polite. Finally someone who knows about how to be hospitable. Thank you!
F. V.
Great service, lovely food. The atmosphere is brilliant.
M. R.
The best cheeseburger I think I ever had, I inhaled it. Our servers Sophie and Oliane were wonderful. First class, charming and hilarious. Love this place.
W. N.
I do rate The Latchmere highly, but this evening I ordered a burger... and paid a £1 surcharge towards cheese topping. The cheese was an exact replica of the cheese square slices you can pick up from any supermarket and don’t agree with your surcharge on this cheap product. The patty looked mass produced and overall wasn’t to a great taste. Then I ordered the lamb shank, it arrived cold. Great shame, but great venue for sport and beer although my weapon of choice wasn’t on tap on this occasion. I give 4 stars out of loyalty.
R. C.
Cracking roast! Was just walking passed and we jumped in.
Meat was awesome(Pork), and the trimmings were more than enough.
We opted in to the extra Yorkie, which was good, but definitely made it a LOT of food.
Lost 1 star for Roasties... a bit of work on those to get em nice and crispy and I'd say up there with one of my best roasts in London.
D. D.
One of the nicest sunday lunches I've eaten. Absolutely stunning food and really friendly staff. You can tell this place is well loved by the community and it thrives with them.
M. B.
Great food / drink / staff / company
Lovely pub garden
A.
Very good roast, but on the pricier side and small portion for 15 quid. They beef it out with an enormous Yorkshire pudding and have minimal roasties, but I don't want to take away too much from the quality which is really good.
A. B.
Food was very tasty, bartenders friendly and there’s plenty of outlets to charge your laptop. And this is probably the only pub in London with tasteful Christmas decorations. 10/10
W. C.
Have always loves this pub. We were there for my sister's 40th and although I was underwhelmed by the food, wings, scotch egg and greek meze, the bloody mary was amazing. Brought me back to life.
G. D.
We arrived without reservation on Sunday and in five minutes we where sat down even if the pub was pretty crowded.
Good traditional English food, fast and kind service.
A. L.
Staff members were very friendly. Had a nice lunch.
A. D.
Excellent Espresso Martini's, White Russians and a nice selection of Ales and local beers. Friendly service, speedy wifi and a classic pub menu with a few treats. A great place for a group or office lunch.
M. “. K.
Beautiful place! not as loud as you would expect on a Friday night, which is a big plus if you just want to have a chat. all staff looks nice and the service was fast.
E. P.
I never had any intention of going into this pub previously. Every time I walked by and peered throught the window it just seemed lackluster... But then I heard it had gone through a refurb so decided to pop in and see what it was like, and I'm glad I did. They really fixed it up nicely and the arranged the seating comfortably. The atmosphere was lively and fun and the staff were really attentive and pleasant. The prices seemed pretty average for the area. The only criticism I would have would be the artwork hung on the walls that were repetitive prints. Ones that were in the women's toilets were also in the hallway - may have been intentional, but just seemed like the decorators got bored and gave up when it came to the walls. Not a massive deal however and would not prevent me from returning!
h. n.
Great place for Sunday roast! Nice staff and relaxed atmosphere.
E. T.
We only had drinks, nice helpful staff, not a great range of beer but decent enough!
There is a garden in the back but that night was too cold for us to sit outside, we stretched all over some big couch instead!
p. b.
The food was good, hot and plentiful. Not great if u had a BIG party like ours...as we intruded n other peoples “space”. Proved a challenge for the waiting staff. Another bonus as it also allows dogs.
A. M.
Our favourite 'new'/old pub. Refurbished and re-opened about a month ago, the Latchmere has a fantastic pub menu (with roasts on sunday...the pork belly is divine and HUGE). It has a great local atmosphere and a pretty solid wine list if wine's your thing. Brand new beer garden is lovely for sunny days (and a great kids play area too). We're moving in!
S. P.
Nice open-plan, airy town pub. Dark floorboards, sofas, lots of dining tables. Seemed to be plenty of staff working on a Sat afternoon. Nice, though not exceptional, pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord.
J. H.
Last week I went to this pub after many years. It was very nice atmosphere. Staff very frendly and helpful. Food was great. There is a garden with heathers for cold evenings.
A. W.
A great local spot near Battersea park. The burgers are great and the staff are very polite. The theatre upstairs is usually showing something and the beer garden out back is nice and catches the sun.
D. S.
The quality of food is nice but expensive. No vegetarian/vegan friendly. The drinks are nice and the stuff friendly. Toilet are clean. Can be very busy during dinner time on in the weekend, found a place for sit can be challenging
R. D.
A perfect hour watching cricket at 5pm with a decent pint and the gentle hubbub of a proper pub in the calm before the storm. Always worth a visit. For beer, food, sport, theatre, garden... Whatever.
Z. P.
Amazing pub, great food and service
G. C.
Modern version of a traditional pub. Nice draught beers and a full pint. Mixed age of customers. Friendly staff. Not 5 star as it seemed to lack the feel of a local with regulars.
R. 1.
Great little pub with awesome food.
D. T.
A typical bank holiday weekend, chucking down with rain, grey skys, the whole job. Still popped into the Latchmere for a pint. Ended up having some arancini as well, the ultimate Italian comfort food. Not as good as my Italian mum's in Florence but still good!
J. N.
Good atmosphere and reasonable choice of beers which were good. Just avoid the expensive peanuts - they come out of a jar, charged at a very high price and are completely stale
J. H.
Really good local pub. Excellent food and well kept ales. Big screen sports on one side and dining on the other. Recommended
A. S. N.
Great service, good price, cute pub
D. O.
Great menu and cost atmosphere
D. M.
Nicely decorated pub with a nice ambience. Went there for Xmas dinner. Food was good but took a long time for the whole meal. Happily go back though.
T. S.
Decent pub with an ok beer selection and nice enough decor. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go here but if you're in the area it's a solid choice
B. L.
Excellent food, lovely staff, beautiful pub. Can’t ask for anything more
J. Q.
Busy pub with a good beer selection. Food is also good, if quite expensive. Lovely outdoor seating area at the back with a separate 'family area' to one side.
M. B.
Fantastic deal for 50% off some fantastic food. We had mussels and chips to share and a steak and all was delicious. It may be because it was earlier and therefore quieter but I have to say service was really great too. Will definitely be …

Great for a Sunday roast on a rainy day, lovely decor and good array of beers on tap

A great locals pub in Battersea. It's always very busy and has a nice outdoor area at the back.
R. H.
Great place
S. P.
Attractive staff. Good food. Get the roast!!
M. R.
Great burgers and a great place for an after work beer! the garden out at the back has plenty of seating too which is always good for a summer pint!
B. K.
This place is a bit overpriced for the quality they offer. It's good for having a drink before or after the performance at the theatre upstairs. People also seem to come to watch football here.
H. H.
A lovely pub on the high street.
The restaurant part of the pub is very nice but if you only want to come in for a drink there's plenty of seat offered.
A. W.
Great food, nice decor. Service was a bit slow due to lack of staff
R. T.
Had a fabulous Sunday roast, the place was buzzing. Only gripe was that being from up North the beer prices left me stunned 😄
b. M.
Good atmosphere for Saturday night nice beer choice and everybody having nice time bar staff very good and quick super pub for all ages to enjoy
T. O.
Friendly accommodating staff with a great range of beers ales lagers and gins

Great for a Sunday roast on a rainy day, lovely decor and good array of beers on tap
C. A.
Excellent pub , really good ambiance and food except from the burgers . The rest of the food is really really good but the burgers are terrible , dry and tasteless ..
M. E.
Warm and cosy on a cold autumn afternoon. Good selection of drinks. Didn't try the food but menu looked tasty.
S. S.
Great atmosphere, amazing Roast Dinner on a Sunday. Small but nice beer garden for a sunny day

Food menus a bit weird but otherwise really really enjoyed the setting of this pub. The theatre upstairs is pretty cosy too.
L. D.
Came here for the 6 nations rugby final and was a fantastic day - great food, drinks and service from Laura :) Definetely recommend!
D. D.
Really nice pub, big but feels intimate. Nice for friends and lot's of nice wine to lead you astray. Safe bet for a nice drink
O. C.
Great food which isn't too expensive, a good vibe around the pub and the service was top notch. Really impressed
L. C. C.
A typical British pub with a large, cozy beer garden and great prices, cool music and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit.
V. P.
Great pub with fantastic food, friendly staff, amazing beer garden and super dog friendly. Worth trying
A. E.
Recommend the steak and ale pie if it's on - best I've had.
Great little kids play area round the back
s. a.
Great pub lunch! Good choice and a little bit different.
L. M.
Nice bar but drink prices are very steep even for London, plus it’s always full of parents and kids on the weekend.
D. G.
Good gastro pub. But you should respect the closing hours of the terrace. 10.30pm not 10pm
J. B.
Faultless - the beers selection is great and the food is out of this world - their chicken and chorizo pie is the best pie I've ever tasted - when it's on I'd happily eat there 5 days a week!
P. B.
Beer was ok. And the food was pritty good considering its a pub and not a restaurant.
R. M.
Lovely pub, modern but with a traditional feel. Great food and good drinks selection.
M. A.
Good range of drinks and food very good, gets busy on the weekend for lunch so book a table

Beautiful building with lots of space inside to spread out and relax. Friendly staff.
