Reviews of The Lexington
M. V.
Great pub with a great selection of whiskeys and beers. The food is really nice too and there’s a venue on the first floor for live gigs. We saw some amazing indie bands over the years and enjoyed our last gig last night. There were 3 great bands playing. The place is definitely recommended.
M. M.
Great venue for a night out, live music upstairs, friendly atmosphere
F. “.
I really like the way it looks the pub, it is very cool and cosy. The people working there are chill and I also really good. I went there a few times trying to meet new people but I find it a bit hard, I have the impression that most people know each other already. I don't feel like other people want to meet and I'm the end this is one of the main reasons I go to a pub is to meet people and socialise, I don't like drinking to be honest
M. S.
This legendary pub in Angel is a great option when you are improvising a night out. You go with the idea of having one drink and you end up leaving the last with lots of funny situations to tell. My first pub night out in London and I still love this place 6 years later.
100% recommended !!!
R. P.
Great place to listen to some great music! Ground floor is a normal pub, but upstairs they have a cool night club
A. B.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the best venue in North London (and beyond probably). So glad you guys survived the pandemic and are now back to pretty much normal.
H.
Some corbynites attacked my centrist friend Simon after he confronted them for not standing up for the national anthem. disgraceful behaviour.
If you want to feel safe and enjoy your night then I would highly recommend choosing another venue.
C. M.
Great little venue with a good selection of drinks. Very intimate atmosphere upstairs where bands play.
V. R.
Great location.
Great sound system.
If they where more competitive with there prices it would be 100 percent perfect.
Have a few beers before entering.
A. G.
Great pub with a nice live music venue upstairs. Staff seemed friendly and eclectic which was nice. Came to see Sipho and was not disappointed
C. J. M.
Amazing place in Angel and so close to station.
Amazing music 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 and staffs deserve 5 ⭐.
D. T.
A great eclectic pub on Pentonville road. High ceiling, all sorts of strange furniture and ornamental silliness. Wonderful. The staff are lovely and welcoming, the beer tastes good, only keg on today but pumps are there for four cask ales. Also, open till 04.00 tomorrow, clearly the way forward! Thanks for a lovely pint.
L. E. P.
Closes late for London standards, chilled atmosphere with two different styles of music and an OK sized upstairs dancefloor. The djs in the ground floor pub are always spot on with 60s-80s tunes. Staff is polite and correct, prices are reasonable.
E. O. T. T. R.
Brilliant venue. Enjoyable Listens are an ace band.
H. M.
It's a classic pub for Islington goers, and the upstairs is more like Camden's underworld club..just upstairs instead of the basement. Good vibes just expensive and not the cleanest pub.
L.
I love The Lexington. I’ve been coming here for years now and still always pop in if I’m in the area.
Their whiskey sours are the best in town and they’ve always got a bottle or two of Pappy van Winkle floating around. I’m particularly fond of coming here in the afternoons when it’s quiet, and sitting up in the raised lounge area on the ground floor, it feels like I’m sitting in an old west saloon.
Staff are always courteous and skilled at pouring cocktails. The upstairs music venue is great too; I’ve been to several gigs here over the years and always have a good time. It does get very busy in the evenings though!
w. s.
In short, it's brilliant.
Go see it yourself.
Bring your own bodyweight.
s. o.
One of the lady great indie venues left! Main bar has great beer, music room great sound and fantastic touring artists.
N. H.
Amazing venue! Great beers and whiskeys, and an upstairs hosting great bands in an intimate space. Highly recommended, a stone's throw from angel tube stop
J. C.
Some bartenders are true mixologists but others do not know their ar*e from their elbows and it shows from their service attitude too. The one Brazilian/Latin dude with the glasses was awesome. Gets too tight near the bar nb
C. G. D. S.
Incredible selection of Bourbon whiskey, they even have multiple years of some whiskey so if your pockets run deep enough you could compare by year. The food was decent, I believe it's a rotating pop up within the kitchen at the time of review there was a Greek menu. They bands play and show sport so you're covered for any occasion, it's also open til 4am on Saturday! Definitely recommend
P. B.
This is the only venue I’ve ever been to where I’ve ended up chatting to the band after a great show. It’s a legendary place which you have to visit.
R. F.
Pleasant pub with a decent beer and wine selection. The food looks good, though haven't tried. Good venue upstairs for all sorts of emerging artists, so if there's someone you fancy seeing and they're playing the Lexington, then get your tickets and have a great night!
NB: no draft beer upstairs & limited wines. You can take a drink up to the gig from downstairs
G. B.
Great sound in the performance area! Great whisky too! Effervescent DJ... Great delivery of quality tunes🎶💣💥
M. M.
An Islington staple, this local pub and venue is popular with the young professional crowd. The Lexington has two floors, the top being ideal for music gigs and dancing. They home unusual events, tonight was The Orchestra age of Enlightenment, a string quintet playing Mendelssohn. Ample tables inside which housed a pub quiz, with the ability to order food too.
r. m.
Nice atmosphere..Good people..Nice music..best place to go for Saturday night out..highly recommend
C. M.
Great busy bar and excellent, intimate music venue upstairs. Put the Lexington on your list of places to take alternative music fans who are visiting the capital.
J. P. L.
Brilliant. Saw a great live show upstairs (Keeley) then had severa l relaxed pints downstairs. Great venue
T. G.
Good pub with a wicked selection. Late night DJ playing classic that you can have a good old boogie too! Would visit again
O. H.
Essential pub to visit in angel. Lots of great selections of beers, polite and friendly staff. Vegan burger is absolutely delicious and with lots of seating and clean toilets it's definitely a required visit
m. h.
Awesome live venue and club. The main bar is very nice with a good selection of beers and good music.
G. C.
Nice pub downstairs, and great event space upstairs. Very relaxed, and very polite staff.
l.
The Lexington. Many a night in here. Always a good time. The fella with the long hair who frequents this place is a legend. I dream one day to get The Lexington Black Card
I. K.
A great pub and a great venue.
We arrived early and had a few beers in the ground floor bar area before going to the concert upstairs.
It is a small music venue but it always has a great atmosphere. The latest concert was the Wave Pictures who were really good
D. D. R.
Great decent pub with diverse beer selection, friendly staff and vaeious gigs and events
P. C.
Great venue, London needs more of these. Reasonably priced to see bands that would not get booked in larger venues
H. H.
Maybe requires some higher environment music, but it is a great place to seal and speak while having a drink
P. S.
Nice pub, excellent staff, very quiet place to enjoy the day/night alone or with friends!
f.
Nice pub, tacos could improve, bouncers a bit harsh. Lovely atmosphere!
S. F.
Excellent Bar. Open late. Good beer and great on whiskey. Id recommend the Pappy Van Winkle 15 year old.
K. B.
The Lexington is a beautiful building with Victorian features. The room I was in for the gig I attended was spacious and included it's own bar for drinks and comfortable seating. I would definitely recommend this pub as a place to go.
A. F.
Fun bar with good rock music and a lively crowd. Drinks are fairly priced so a great place to enjoy with friends.
E. D. M.
They've got a large whisky menu, guns and animal heads on the wall... what more could you want from a bar? Oh yeah, live music almost every night as well! Top place.
M. J.
One of my favourite places in London. Good live music and a lively atmosphere. There's always a good selection of tap beers and the crowd outside is very friendly. The staff are fantastic.
K. S.
Great bar with a huge range of American whiskey. Now doing Greek food. Good music and sometimes live music upstairs. One of my favourite London bars.
J. G.
Great place, great clientele and great music. Bauhaus, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix played as we had a laugh with the regulars. Not too pricey either. We went here after all the other bars shut. 24 hour city my a***, they could learn something from Manchester. Having said that, I will definitely visit Lexington again.
D. P.
Awesome aesthetics, friendly staff and a decent live music venue upstairs!
S. W.
Great small venue, beer range is always varied, great bands and good food. Lovely little venue.
M. M.
Open late with a great selection of American beers and American Bourbon. The selection of bourbon is HUGE. Like really really huge. Great place for a proper late night too. Usually a mix of more alternative and leftfield music.
M. G.
Best indie/pop night out I’ve had in years
B. R.
Good 2017 NYE party. Lack of drinks choices was frustrating as some beers were off and they ran out of spirits and the mixers were awful. But we still had a good night.
A. C.
Best venue for the sound. Always great concerts here.
D. W.
Needs more of the best American craft beer scene. Then five 🌟
D. M.
Great pub, great music!
M. V.
Amazing first super bowl with projector, screen, good beers on tap and a themed food menu!
T. W.
Confused about difference between the main bar and the upstairs. Also what's the deal with the Lexington lemonade, feels like we've missed the emotional heart of the establishment. Also no cocktails
O. F.
The chicken wings are fantastic. As are the beef dripping chips and the bacon and cheese loaded fries. Didn't think much of the burger.
Really cool atmosphere in this pub and it draws a nice crowd. We came at 9pm and there was a DJ playing. Bit loud if you're there to hang out and chat with your friends but great if you're there to warm up for a night out.
B. M.
Great late night venue with live music, DJ and party atmosphere! Good range of drinks.
C. R.
Fantastic pub downstairs and great gig venue upstairs
K. C. B.
What a fantastic little venue! Great for live music, the upstairs stage area is really intimate. Great pub.
F. N.
Reasonable selection of beers, although small choice of cider and a lot of stuff is bottled. Only a small selection of vegan options but the fries were super tasty. The venue itself is very cozy and has lots of comfy chairs and clean toilets. Service was good but could be friendly. For a Friday night it wasn’t too packed and the music was good and at a good sound level.
V. O.
Decent night out, good if you want to dance
B. F.
Great range of drinks, lovely staff, nice grub and not forgetting the fine array of gigs and club nights they have on!
v. b.
Plenty of drinks to choose from, with a small concert venue upstairs.
D. F.
Great selection of whiskey and beers. Fantastic atmosphere. Small venue upstairs attracting great acts.
R. H.
Good beer and nice place to see bands.
S. P.
Nice staff, good selection of beers and whiskey.
M. B.
Great for gigs and great beer. The upstairs bar is a good-sized space with unrestricted standing views wherever you are (bar at the back of the room is several steps higher, which helps as you get a good view from the back because of it). The staff are nice and friendly and do are the door staff. They have a good selection of beers; their own lager is tasty and easy to drink. Ground floor space plays great music late into the evening too; a mixture of old school disco and soul the last time I was there on a Thursday. Definitely recommend going there for a fun night out.
L. M.
Late night dancing and music is just what you need and found here at the Lexington. Looks like a pub, but inside it's all club. There were lots of people milling outside, so don't be worried it's a line. That being said, there might I went (around midnight) it was amazing packed and getting to the bar was a challenge worthy of any Manhatten nightclub patron.
But worth it! Busy, but very nice, the bartenders were fast and fabulous - as were.the crazy mix of guests. The place played classics worthy of the dance floor and everyone was loose and having a great time.
I will say the floor felt like a glue trap it was so sticky, there was wine glasses broken in a few places but the vibe was one of hard dancing, where even one of our friends even jumped up on a table for a few minutes - so completely understandable.
So if you are looking for a late night place to have another pint and make your moves, this is it.
C. C.
Great pub with amazing interior and loads of interesting bits and bobs. We went for the pub quiz and had a blast! The quizmaster was very entertaining, including a round where he plays songs 'as you have never heard them before' on his keyboard. Will trek up there again for sure.
C. M.
My first time was cool. The second time, the service wasn't so good.
A. X.
Fantastic venue. Played 2 sold out shows (2018, 2020) with The Just Joans here and it has a great atmosphere.
Was almost refused entry the second time I played from whoever was working on the door...10 minutes before stage time! Nevertheless, a great venue.
S. B.
Great venue, with lovely staff. Went to a gig upstairs and having emailed beforehand as I have a disability I had seats reserved for me so I could sit during the gig. Seats were great with a fantastic view and staff beforehand and on the night were really helpful. Can’t fault it as a venue!
P. W.
Great bar. Amazing whiskey selection. Good little spot near to Kings Cross.
A. M.
Nice venue with a saloon twist. Great food with Gluten Free options! Massive portions! The only down side is the live music room above, could do with some extra love. And if you want to make sure you get extra credit for bands playing live, lighting! It's really important especially for photographers who want to take live pictures.
G. P.
A really great venue in the heart of London. Brilliant eclectic line up of music and a really nice combination of gig venue upstairs and nice cool bar downstairs. Excellent beer and spirit selection downstairs, and I mean amazing, and not too pricey. All drinks allowed upstairs to the gig as well. Great place.
r. g.
An excellent pub with a wide range of alcohol
N. P.
Decent food. Decent bar. Decent music section downstairs. Decent food.. Bar service can sick sometimes in this place. Guess they think they're cool fir working at the Lexington? Or maybe it's a bad place to work because the boss is horrible? Either way, the "sometimes" bad service doesn't keep me away.. When there is a good gig ice been invited to, I go, enjoy decent beer with decent food and listen to the ban with decent sound.. Nice.
T.
The Lexington is one of the best venues in London - Hands down. Great bar downstairs for preshow drinks (many interesting options). You can also eat there but I haven't yet tried it. The venue itself is intimate and you can always find a space near the stage. There is a great variety of artists that perform here and all the shows I've been to have been fantastic.
P. D.
Amazing venue with excellent acoustics. Up stairs is a great venue, which always has a wide selection of acts. Downstairs bar has a great selection of beers with a real chilled out indie atmosphere. Rough Trade host a quiz night on Mondays.
D. S.
Actually a nice pub. It's an American style one with nice beers and possibly food. They have live gigs upstairs with very nice music. People there are nice. Don't know about the food, but I'll go back to check that too.
J. M.
Came down for a gig and popped in for a couple pints and a bite to eat. Found good beer, good food and a great venue upstairs. Very much rock/metal vibe and aesthetics, but I'd recommend it for anyone.
D. M.
It's a real pub that looks like a pub without trying too hard,if you know what I mean.
Serves real ale,and everything else that you might need.
Convivial atmosphere.
Best thing is that upstairs is a music venue for watching bands, yey!!!
Check it out!!!
J. N.
I love the Lexington. Fantastic gigs, good pub quizzes and the food is superb. A great range of beers too.
C. R.
Good pub with a nice variety of beers. However, the day I went there, they didn't have a few. Good music. The place smell a little odd sometimes, not sure what is it. The restroom could be more cleaned. Some staff are more friendly than others. If you get there early, you might get a table. But the best is to make a reservation because it gets pretty full once it gets late.
E. G.
Was a really nice experience, we went to see The Soft Cavalry and me and my friend had an amazing time. The drinks were reasonably priced, the food a bit above average. The staff very friendly and a nice Ambience. The sound system was great quality and would deffo recommend.
D. P.
The Lexington has been my Go-to place for music when I am in town. Always a place to catch up and coming bands/artist.
D. B.
Pub/Venue with often good live music, kind bouncers and cool but smelly interior. Good selection of beers but the rest of the alcohol slection/taste is not great. Overall, one of the places you hope that would survive for years.
J. O.
Really cool American bar around islington, great vibes, good music, great decor. American beers available in this London late night bar, triple cooked fries, giant burgers and great Malbec wine. Loved it. Will certainly go back. And guess what it was super cheap. Staff were polite and friendly too
D. P.
Big, busy and friendly pub with a music venue upstairs. The wide-open high-ceilinged main bar area creates a uniquely convivial atmosphere and the distressed decor adds to the charm as you make your way through the crowds to the long bar. You’ll be served quickly.
J. M.
Looks can be deceiving... great pub and impressive choice of whiskeys.
The music pub quiz was amazing and worth visiting - there was a DJ playing music after so we had our own 80s quiz.
Most surprising of all was the food, a good roast I would recommend.
G. K.
Nice venue. Parking for bands isn't available but you can load in on double yellows and then move the van. There's usually parking around. Good space for merch. Food and drink isn't bad either. Burgers , or Sunday roast on Sunday....of course!
Overall 5/5 , can get pretty cramped if sold out.
I. F.
Great little music venue, the acoustics were suprisely good and it felt very intimate.
Can't comment on Bar area downstairs as I didn't use it, but seemed like a friendly atmosphere.
Toilets left a little to be desired with regard to cleanliness.
We travelled in by car and found free parking couple of roads up
T. R.
We came here as a group to try the infamous pop quiz and we were not disappointed!
The venue is a standard pub with the occasional animal skull and hunting rifle on the wall. There are booths, regular table and couch seating which is nice.
The food is pretty good on the whole. I had the brisket, red cabbage and roast potatoes which I enjoyed. A friend had the pastrami sandwich which also looked pretty good. The food service can be a little slow though so keep that in mind.
The quiz is fantastic, offering questions for anyone regardless of your taste in music. The atmosphere is a little on the quiet side but it's a good night out!
J. H.
Famous for a reason. Great bar with plenty of beer choice and a huge bourbon list. Upstairs is a small but very popular gig/club night venue. Often somewhere to see the next band of tomorrow.
r. k.
Went to see amyl and the sniffers. Really great venue and good atmosphere. Really expensive drinks tho.
K. J.
Nice pub, fantastic whisky collection, great staff. 🍻
R. W.
One of the best selections of American whiskeys in London. Bat staff are knowledgeable of their Bourbons.
J. F.
I suspect this is the end of table service for the live gigs. Have to say i loved it. Fantastic service and Eugene McGuiness was outstanding
D. C.
Great atmosphere but poor bar service downstairs - especially for food; they may not know whether something is still available until the order has been sent to the kitchen. However, the upstairs bar is great for live music - roomy and cosy, with some comfy seating, toilets, and good views of the stage.
K. M.
Good ambient for late night drink!
W. D. I.
Nice pub with vintage décor, food is also tasty. There is a large selections of beer but drinks are a bit pricey. This pub turns into a dancefloor from 11pm.
G. G.
Absolutely love this place for a late one. It’s very laid back, got a good, mixed crowd of people, and open late. The bar has loads to offer and the prices are relatively good. Music seems to vary depending on which day you go, but they seem to cater well to all tastes between the two floors.
M. P.
Interesting bar/club / pub that stays open late. Downstairs is more like a bar, upstairs is more like a club. There's a cover charge to go upstairs (forget how much), and most of the action moves up there eventually. Seems to be pretty packed on weekends.
H. L.
The burger wasn't very good, tasted burnt and was overcooked inside. The addition of cold pickles made the whole burger cool down very quickly. The layout of the pub is awful, tables too close together, makes it awkward getting to the bar when there are gigs upstairs as there are loads of people milling around.
J. R.
amazing booze, amazing music..amazing staff
T. S.
Great place, great clientele and great music. Bauhaus, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix played as we had a laugh the regulars. Not too pricey either. We went here after all the other bars shut. 24 hour city my a***, they could learn something from Manchester. Having said that, I will definitely visit Lexington again.
O. P.
The best pub in the world I think.
B. M.
Wonderful looking pub downstairs (big vaulted ceiling & shabby chic decor) and a wicked venue upstairs. Just a great pub really, just wish it was bigger downstairs as it gets rammed on gig nights, but not a lot anyone can do about that!
R. v. E.
Idd a superb bar with great music. Loud enough to dance on but not to loud for a co conversation with friends.
We ended up in this bar at the last night of our trip to London and it was the best thing.
A. P.
I went to the Lexington on a date. We saw an indie band, had a few Sierra Nevadas, and we both got a commemorative beer cozie. That night was so special—the atmosphere is great and the music was amazing. I'll never forget it.
I. G.
Beautiful grand pub but a gem of a stage/club/ bar space above. Saw a set of three artists for BBC Introducing was magical. Great acts superb lighting and sound. Staff were polite and friendly.
A. C.
Pleasant, relaxed pub, where you can happily while away a Sunday afternoon that accidentally turns into an evening. A good selection of beers and a rather mind-boggling selection of whiskey. The Sunday roast is top-notch and rather pleasingly they do a tasty vegan version. Good quality pub food, on plates, with knives, and forks. Yay!
B. P.
Had a great Sunday roast here on Sunday! Yummy food. Really big nice pub - ideal for going with a group and having a proper sit-down. It was not too busy and not too loud.
A. M.
Not bad overall. Open to 3am which is handy and the decor is quite trendy and cool. But other than that a normal pub with slightly loud metal music!
T. M.
3 stars for the pub, 4 stars for the upstairs music venue, which is spacious and well equipped. They have a decent line-up of bands coming up and the sound quality is excellent. Downstairs could do with some more chairs, some more bar staff and keeping to the promise on their website of not having to "shout to hear yourself think" - we had to go outside because the music was painfully loud. Decent food, decent prices - worth a visit on a quiet night.
T. B.
Legendary music pub near Angel. The upstairs room is an awesome little gig venue, a small and intimate space which is in use almost every night. There's a weekly music quiz run by Rough Trade, and the bar has a very comprehensive selection of bourbons and American bottled beers, as well as a few ales on tap.
T. D.
Great bar, with a very British atmosphere, didn't get to venture upstairs, but will definitely recommend, especially for a late pint. Only a few minutes walk from King's Cross. Staff are very welcoming.
N. B.
Quite a nice Bar, however the Venue part upstairs would really benefit with better air conditioning, was like a sauna prior to the band starting. Still, if you want reasonable priced drinks and a nice little venue, well worth a look.
B. S.
Have walked past this place so many times over the years but never gone in. A charming place with a lot of original features. It got very busy and we were glad to have a table. Seems to be some private room/gig space upstairs that people were queueing for. Very popular
I. N.
One of the few places opened until 4am on weekends. Good atmosphere and overall indy/pop/rock music. It has a venue upstairs with live bands. Halfway between King' Cross and Angel. IPAs and pale ales and lagers and this is your place to spend the night.
A. G.
I absolutely love the place. It's a great bar. It has an amazing selection of whiskey and burbon. They play great music. Club nights are really fun. I was told they also have a good kitchen. I love it.
S. P.
Classic if.tou are around kings cross. Recommended
O. H.
Spacious and cozy pub with a great selection of beer. I visited Lexington for a gig, which was happening on the second floor. The sound was great. Although the room looked quite small, it didn't feel very crowded. Back side is elevated, so you can see the stage from anywhere.
J. R.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and the Greek food was very nice.
T. B. (.
A large venue. A wide open space to sit in the pub and upstairs is the live area.
C. H.
Huge one room bar with leather sofas and outdoor benches, nice to drop by for one of their enormous whisky and bourbon selection of a quiet afternoon or bustling and crowded for their many evening events. Upstairs usually has some sort of live music on and you can often get tickets on the door or just pop up to see if it takes your fancy. The cocktails made with slush puppy mixers are delicious.
J. C.
Good cider, nice food, good gig space, book a table though if you plan to eat before a gig it got pretty crowded. British Sea Power put on another spectacular evening.
J. C.
Fun old norf London boozer. Good range of ales if you like that sort of thing. Staff very chilled and laid back. Quite a cool vibe in the pub - with a downstairs that doubles as a live music venue.
Dropped by for the pub quiz on a Tuesday night which was a lot of fun. Food look surprisingly good.
A. B.
Great beer, great venue, great live music...BUT...the bar staff are just unnecessarily rude. It's actually stand out at how short they are with customers sometimes. This is a real shame as they have a cool menu and loads of great gigs on.
S. D.
A big, jolly pub in King's Cross with regular quizzes, gigs, club nights and just plain old booze and food. Although it's pretty large, the downstairs bar always seems packed (especially on a Friday night, where everyone will be hammered if you turn up past 9pm), and is a great place to pick up free music magazines and have a few drinks. The music they play is especially good.
Upstairs is more cosy and basic, and hosts gigs and club nights, including Friday's White Light. There's a loyalty card that gives you 10% off all drinks and most lunchtimes, all food is 25% off. But I just don't love this place, and I can't put my finger on why...
P. J.
The upstairs is a great little space for watching gigs. The bar downstairs has a good selection of beers, and there's plenty of veggie food on the menu...
F. H.
Cool pub with a club upstairs. The Friday night indie rock party is fun.
C. G.
Saw Tragedy, Tenacious G and Abba Stripes here, all excellent tributes and the room above the pub (where the gig is) is intimate yet comfortable with sofas for those wanting to sit down (not me). Prices for drinks are standard London prices. Less variety upstairs on tap drinks go downstairs for.
L. W.
Perfectly-sized music venue with an excellent selection of live acts and DJs, friendly staff and a lovely bar and kitchen downstairs that now does vegan Sunday roasts including (fanfare) vegan Yorkshire puds! (Actual roasted animals also available on a Sunday). Great selection of beers and bourbons, could do with upping its cider game though.
G. J.
Probably Victorian, 2 storey pub in Islington. Very good range of beers and alcohol, also does food. Cosy but not particularly comfortable nor the sort of place you would go for your anniversary meal.
Upstairs they regularly have bands playing, it takes audiences of maybe 100 or more. I have seen the great Cocos Lovers play there twice.
There is a small number of seats but not with good sightlines when most are standing.
Very good calibre of staff.
T. O.
Brilliant selection of beers and whisky. Includes a live music venue/club upstairs at a small entry price or free entry downstairs with a different dj and style of music each night. Don't come after 11 on the weekend if you don't like crowds as it is one of the only late bars in the area. Food is also very nice! The Lex is generally always a good craic and you will always have fun here
S. H.
Went to watch an indie artist in the upstairs venue. Drinks aren't the cheapest, but the music is good. Upstairs venue does have an annoying pole in the centre view line of the stage
M. D. L.
Nice place to partying with Friends, very cool music !!
D. H.
Great location; walking distance from Kings Cross/St. Pancras but far away enough that it's not unpleasantly busy.
Cosy, friendly, reasonably priced.
The burger was delicious! Nice and juicy in a soft brioche bun. After one bite I was tempted to order another one! But glad I didn't as the burger & chips were quite filling by the end. The chips had a bit too much salt on them for my liking though.
J. W.
Great place for gigs. Not too big, the sound is excellent and the raised rear section means everyone can see the stage. Beer is a bit pricey maybe but I'd only come here for a gig so that's ok I guess!
Z. H.
A very nice pub with a lot of character, old furniture, good beer selection and grubby toilets. A standard Angel pub affair. What makes this stand out is the very good but unhealthy American BBQ food and the large spirit selection; this place had quite the choice for a discerning whiskey drinker. The real star though is the pop flavoured quiz. Be warned though, this is a genuinely hard quiz if you are clueless about pop music!
M. W.
Shabby chic with fine selections of european pilsners. Around 5-6 quid a pint. And American whiskeys. Good burger food. Downstairs is a very quirky music venue. Not fancy at all but a change from some of the ponsey pubs around that part of north London.
S.
Superb selection of bottled craft beers! For example this Jalapeno White Ale by Flying Dog.
S. M.
Nice Pub and good music venue, actually air conditioned so not the sweat pit i was expecting. Plenty of live music through the week and good burgers/hotdogs if you want a bite to eat.
They even have their own larger which is pretty good.
P. C.
I love the staff, and the Lexington lager is absolutely delicious. We normally visit when we're drunk, so apologies if we're annoying 😂
R. P.
Nice pub with a wide selection of beers available. Not sure of the food offering. Music venue is upstairs and has good sound, its own bar and loos.
S. S.
Probably my favourite live music venue in Islington. Absolutely amazing sound every gig I've been to. Great choice of beers and lagers and the burgers are to die for.
S. J.
A very large selection of good spirits. The bartender prepares really good drinks and can match them to our tastes. The prices are not high and the decor encourages long feasting. Very good beer.
S. B.
Great pub, even if a bit out of the way. Shame that basically all of the tables were reserved on a Saturday evening! An indication it is good but not great for walk ins. Try the lexington lager, which is decent, and they have it on happy hour until 8!
M. M.
The venue upstairs is lovely and intimate. The service is very quick, the decor is interesting and pretty much everything is great. I did however nearly slip over in the gents toilets as there was so much liquid of unknown origin on the floor...
O. B.
Decent place, comfy armchairs. The night I went there half the ales weren't on tap which is vexing. Also gets full really quickly. Good for an early meet or a stop in a crawl rather than a whole evening.
M. S.
An historic Victorian corner pub - downstairs is an open plan bar area with seating and table service of snacks and the latest 'pop up' menu. 10 min walk from King's Cross & St. Panc stations - ideal.
Really charming vibe, high ceilings, and has a south American twist, well stocked with a selection of bourbons and US beers. Upstairs, a small stage and gig venue (reduced bar to the rear) - very quaint and no obstructed views to the stage. Rhys Lewis, headline pictured . . .
D. D.
The Lexington is one of the best indie venues I have been to in a while ! It's a perfectly well thought out place, downstairs bar with a seating area. And upstairs for the dance floor. Amazing place.
H. G.
Went and watch a band play here. Had a drink downstairs first, lovely atmosphere and really nice pub. Very cosy. I was on crutches at the time and staff were very accommodating.
S.
Been there last night with some friends, was really nice, only problem they asked for a ticket to go in and we didn’t have it because we didn’t know it l, the bouncer make us pay £10 each to go in. I’m always going in this pub so I don’t understand why they charge us to go in. The manager know about it or nah ?? If we aren’t supposed to pay to go in then the manager should look at the cctv. And if we supposed to pay then it’s fine I’m okey with it. I enjoyed new year eve :)
R. H.
Always a great bet. Beer selection though has begun to fall away a bit which a lot more of the predicable craft on offer than the crazy and special. The wait for food last Thursday night was horrendous. But its the Lexington, so it always gets a bit of a pass on account of being friendly and fun.
E. W.
Great venue! Such a good vibe!
A. V.
Tons of fun. If you want a pub with some drinks and no frills, stay downstairs. If you want to shake your tail feather until 4 am, go upstairs. Be prepared to pay a cover for dancing! I've never waited in a line, it's always the right level of busy, and, unlike the Old Queens Head, I've never been punched in my cornea. So overall a win.
R. B.
I was pretty drunk by the time I got to this place but even I remember how much of a dope spot this was. The drinks were fairly priced with a damn good selection of whiskies and beers on tap. Music here is definitely a plus too. Keep it up Lex!
B. B.
Great place that is opened late. Music is usually good but that depends on your tastes and on the dj. Usually very busy after midnight. Sometimes you have to wait for 20 minutes before you can access the bar.
S.
If you ever wondered what London must have been like in the 70's then pop upstairs and you'll have an idea! The fascinating space often hosts remarkable acts from a broad spectrum of musical genres. Not to be missed!
J. H.
Great venue for live music - usually acts who are on there way to bigger things - or bigger acts looking for a smaller space to perform in.
If the engineer knows how to use them the lights can be good - but normally too much red and back lighting
P. M.
Great pub, with awesome music. However, the vegan food served wasn't the best. The burrito was tiny (more a floppy fajita wrap), chips and cauli/plantain really greasy and inedible.
A.
If you're the sort of person who keeps a list of excellent intimate pubs in which to catch gigs in London, The Lexington really should be occupying a least one space on said list. It's small, the sight-lines are fantastic, and you'll swear you can almost smell the falafel the band was munching on backstage!
It's easy to drift through the space and find yourself at the front of the stage for part of a set, or enjoying the view from the bar for another. You may annoy a few stouter hipsters, but who cares? This night is about you!
Even if you're not a selfish jackass, the venue is one of the best in the city and hosts an impressive roster of indie acts on a weekly basis.
For those without an ear for indie talent, I'm told there's a great pub on the ground floor. I've seen it in passing and, given the staff and general quality of the space, I'll take a chance and reckon it's worth a visit, as well.
r. g.
Went to see Club Kuru at this venue. The band's were awesome. The music basement is well layed out. (I'm not short but let's face it, how often can one actually see the stage in packed out little venue?) Getting to the bar is murder - but isn't his the tell tale sign of a popular space?
I. M.
The downstairs bar is fairly unique in its character and the upstairs venue is great for smaller, more intimate gigs - up-and-coming names and even some more well-established acts known to play at this venue. Kudos to the Lexington.
d. d.
A great night out at their indie/80s/90s night on Saturday night. Good crowd, great tunes, reasonably priced drinks, and pleasant staff. Recommended!
J. D.
Fab team and great drinks and best music in north London
N. H.
Excellent traditional pub with live music most days
T. P.
Whiskey bar with a very decent selection downstairs, and well appointed bar and venue downstairs. As an all in one destination, The Lexington has no competition - the food downstairs is excellent too (even though the prices have crept up).
R. M.
Fantastic Sunday roast. Recommend getting the sharers as the whole cut is cooked and served on the bone with all the accompaniments you could want. These need to be pre-booked.
The food arrived promptly, but otherwise the service was rather slow, I think not enough staff were on given how busy the place was.
D. F.
I love this pub. Great drink, food, music and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fantastic live music in an intimate space.
I. K.
Always enjoy a visit to this old Angel establishment, an American meet English style pub with a packed calendar of events and something for everyone who loves music, including well known bands' gigs. During the weekend, it's a breath of fresh air to find it open till 4am, with two levels playing different genres. The downstairs plays host to old school/retro DJs and it's good for a wiggle and drink, the upstairs is more of a proper club night (White Light, the famous indie night, takes place there every Saturday, as I recall). Crowds are very mixed and I have noticed over the years a surge in studenty faces, possibly due to the proximity to Euston's university halls.
K. B.
Went to die so fluid. Sold out gig!! Band was awesome as always. Nice little venue with pub downstairs.(Also serves food) would definitely go again.
M. B.
Cool bar with awesome deco downstairs and music venue with amazing sound quality upstairs. I really like the atmosphere there. You wont know any song they play but still will like them!
M. L.
I love the venue but the new ordering/payment app is a non-starter and quite unnecessary.
b.
Great live venue with bar and bands upstairs. Good sound/average lighting.
Always a good atmosphere at the Lexington for this more intimate gigs.
N. S.
Been twice. There are generally good events there with good bands playing upstairs (lately theme park) in the club area and proximity to King's cross is handy. However, even the bar area have djs playing quite loudly so sitting downstairs in the bar area for a chat only with (loud) music on the background isn't the best if you are just hoping to have e catch up evening with friends. If you just want to dance, then go for it as you have two options of djs, up a downstairs. Place is usually crowded Nd you cN buy club night tickets and gig tickets on DICE, which is handy. Great for indie nights, however for my own personal taste still a mixed bag
S. S.
Great venue and pub, good selection of beers. Sound upstairs in the venue is great. Need to come here more often
M. D.
A little bit of hip at the other end of Angel. The Lexington is a cool swagger of a bar with decent music on the pa and a good range of up and coming bands.
Good selection of beers and spirits make this an interesting spot for more discerning drinkers.
Generally a pretty busy place, hard surfaces can make it difficult to hear across a table, so be aware you might be shouting a bit thru the night.
The toilets could do with an overhaul. The blokes toilet had screw holes where the hand dryer once was, and no alternative, so back of the jeans hand drying is a necessity, and the cubicle sported a toilet without a flusher.
I would go back here again but would love to see them add some soft furnishing to absorb some sound and to fix up the toilets.
L. B.
The music room is small - capacity around 200 - but gives give great views of the performers. Rear of the room is raised with steps to the floor in front of the stage.
Only negative point is a pillar may restrict some views.
G. O.
Great spot for a late drink. They have a great selection of bourbons and an unusual selection of beers. Party vibe late at night. (until 4am on a weekend)
A. N.
Great on good nights, fun on others but other either quiet or disorganised. A lot of middle of the road, not quite this, not quite that playlists. Indie? Rock? Classic? Millennial? Who knows. Find a night you know you'll like and aim for the weekend, that's your best bet.
L. K.
Awesome live music space and great downstairs bar.
M. S.
Went for music upstairs one time. Bar downstairs was slow. Sound downstairs was terrible. Beer choice not good and quite different to what was describbed on their website. (The gig I went to was phenomenal though!)
L. B.
Very nice pub, I went there with mates from my office and we had a few drinks. Music was nice and not too loud and the prices were also reasonable.
L. A.
Always wanted to try poutine but as a vegetarian haven't been able to in most places, the Lexington does veggie gravy! Was very yummy. Great place to eat and drink before you go up to a gig.
J. Z.
Perfect place with lots of beer types to choose from. What only bothered me was that there is not many English beers. Plus the concert was well organized and the vibe was just awesome!
G. H.
Great venue. Decent food. Management staff were very accommodating. Bar staff were busy but could be a little nicer. But over all. Fantastic
A. M.
Great Beer, food, atmosphere, superb live indie music bands. Many I've seen play at Lexington before the hit it big time!
D. D.
A nice, if crowded pub. Great selection of beers and spirits plus live music upstairs.
E. W.
Terrific selection of whiskeys and a good atmosphere in the pub.
Great music selection upstairs on weekends, mostly rock and indie. Frequently have live music
L. W.
I love this place! Open until late, great music and I have found all of the staff to be nice and friendly. I went upstairs once and wasn't a fan, much prefer the atmosphere downstairs.
M. M.
Great place, amazing food! Would 100% recommend this place. Marked down because in the unisex toilets upstairs there was a cubicle door that wouldn't close properly and for a woman at that time of the month it was a horrible experience.
A. P.
Nice pub. Well priced. Staff are a little forgetful but friendly. I went on a Monday evening quite late and there was still a nice inviting atmosphere.
C. A.
Legendary pub and venue. Lots of choice in drinks and super food.
Staff are super friendly and great too.
Highly recommended.
J. L.
Four stars. Great place, mixed quality of staff but the beer selection was disappointing.
Wings and ribs were fab. Onion rings were worth a Mitchellin star in their own right.
D. F.
Hella random ending up in a Lexington themed bourbon bar in London. Western fee maybe a bit overdone, but atmosphere was great, huge ceilings, lots of visual variety complemented by excellent bourbon list and friendly bartenders.
N. B.
One of the best pubs in London, absolutely love it
l. m.
Decent old school style London pub. Decent selection of beer, cask and keg, over 50 American whiskeys. Food available.
R. S.
Great gig venue and friendly staff. Also the cloak room is a nice old fashion £1 and they don’t complain if you put a jumper in the arm of your coat!
F. A.
Not so cheap, not so cool djs in the first floor and not so friendly staff, but the acoustic in the second floor is good. I've been to a Charlie Parr and Emma Gatrill concert, it was amazing. Just come back for concerts in the second floor, not just to drink in the first.
S. S.
Really nice place. We really enjoyed. But we were surprised by the concert hall... There are no place to sit down...it is little strange... especially that we came to listen to the folk music...we had to stand up during all concert....;(;(;(
R. M.
Went for the indie night on Saturday, was good fun. Don't know why the clientele hate dancing so much though; it's like they don't realise there is any music blaring around them.
B. F.
Full bar with good assortment of beer including a few crafts. Large projector screen for games.
Upstairs venue + bar (only wine, liquor, and bottle/can beer) for music shows.
S. G.
A good small venue, and the sound for the band's is always excellent. Gets a bit uncomfortable when it's a sold-out gig, though.
M. G.
I went there with a friend and we had an amazing time! People are really friendly and funny and it's easy to make friends! The music was fantastic and the drinks too!
J. M.
Very inspiring decor and lovely staff!
M. J.
Good food and great little venue for music
G. K.
Good music venue. Open till late every night and has good selection of beers. Stylish crowd, good vibes!
A. P.
-Expensive? Yes. Or am I just poor? Yes.
-The cloakroom employee is unbelievably rude. Like, next level rude. That's bold, I like it.
-Upstairs there's a cool music venue. Pay the ticket, get insulted by the cloakroom lady. We insist.
S. O.
Fantastic little pub with great music and selection of alcohol. Always good acts on in the venue as well
L. J.
Excellent beer, good burgers, great staff. Great music venue - crystal clear sound
D. H.
Sunday is roast day at the Lexington.. glass of Bloody Mary to start followed by a roasted vegan bangers with a MASSIVE yorkie
By far the best vegan roast (add yorkie for vegetarian).. veg nicely cooked
The gravy was stunning a nice red wine gravy, we will defo be coming again.
Well done Lexington....see you soon
J. C.
Great place for a nightcap. Staff are always super friendly and there are always people around no matter what time of day. Lovely little pub.
J. W. (.
The Lexington is our local pub that provides us with all sorts of entertainment. Live music, DJs and sport events. Two things you can't miss out if their Sunday roast and Superbowl Night! Oh, and the French fries with cheese...
G. L. P.
The Lexington’s in a funny old place, which makes it the best place around. In between King’s Cross and Angel, with Barnsbury sneaking up behind it, it’s an odd blend of contrasts that somehow comes through smelling of (Guns ‘n’ ?) roses. Retro American themed yet managing to give a convincing impression of being a classic English pub, a gig venue that can host 200 but still feels like a local. Music theming runs through the decor and the staff’s passion for it makes sure it feels genuine. Some highlights: plush leather sofas, decadent red curtains, vintage lamps, amazing sound system, table football, 50 different types of whisky, Brooklyn Lager on draught and a free ‘Happy Days’ jukebox style. Upstairs is a bit more rock’n’riotous. Downstairs, the main lounge bar is a more chilled out affair. Worth a travel outside of the normal haunts for a night here.
Thanks for the tip off: Tom Kavanagh, Alex Song Gorokhov.
R. P.
Lively pub with good variety of drinks reasonably priced. Great live music venue. Small but great atmosphere. 2 mins from train station.
N. C.
Great sound quality and good choice of beers and shots downstairs. Would be five stars if draught beer was available upstairs.
D. A.
Quirky and really good fun. Great atmosphere, huge selection of drinks. Service a little slow at times but it was a busy Friday night after all. Really enjoyed my time here
W. C.
Cool bar with musical decor and an excellent selection of beers. They have live music throughout the year so be sure to check their website.
A. P.
Amazing high ceiling pub/bar! If you are around definitely recommended! Staff, drinks & music great!
P. F.
Sunday roast with discount was legit. Big plates and best gravy I've ever had. Tried it as my main man at Kings Cross told me it was on. Not far from the station
M. M. B.
Attended a gig upstairs. Staff so helpful with access issues and really good atmosphere at the venue. Had a great time.
J. K.
Great atmosphere. Excellent tunes.
C. S.
bedecked like an extravagant american whiskey bar. great food (go for the mac n cheese!) and the biggest bourbon, scotch, whiskey and rye selection i've seen in the neighborhood. huge place. great for bringing a boatload of friends.
J. S.
Great Victorian pub with a superb music venue.
S. v. V.
One of the few bars that are open after midnight
K. L.
Decent boozer by London standards. Emphasis is on the live music upstairs which has a good range of acts on, but you can just as well sit downstairs with a pint. Lower-than-average quota of idiots.
N. B.
i had a great night come to see wrabel and his front act upstairs in the live music room they were both great got pics with both of them had awesome time and had few drinks in the bar below beforehand nicely decorated had nice time one of the staff members could of looked a bit happier but they wasnt rude just looked like didnt wanna be there i know theyre at work but still smile wouldnt hurt im in the same job and no matter how im feeling im always smiling just looks more welcoming to customers other than that i couldnt reslly fault the bar had a good time would visit again but i am from essex so it would only be on occasions.
j. b.
Perfectly adequate and satisfactory though unlikely to exceed expectations.
Hosting a wide spectrum of live music in a drab upstairs venue+bar where an excellent sound continuum compensates for the rudimentary decor.
S. F.
I am not a big drinker, but my husband was impressed by the huge selection of beers. The music was pleasant, but the food is nothing special.
O. W.
Great bar, with a very British atmosphere, didn't get to venture upstairs, but will definitely recommend
S. R.
Great pub downstairs with live music gigs upstairs most nights. From 11pm on Friday and Saturday the upstairs operates as a club until 4am.
M. D.
Best place I know in London. It's a pub and a club. You can do both, as much as you want, just one,all good. Great music.
C. H.
A nice environment for drinks, interesting crowd!
E. P.
Good place for a beer till very late. Nice people. There is also a club on the upper floor (but I haven't been there)
K. H.
Great bar, with a very British atmosphere, didn't get to venture upstairs, but will definitely recommend
G. A.
Typical pub with a "younger" vibe. Great prices and perfect music for rock lovers. Expect lots of Bowie songs and old school rock.
M. W.
One of the best places in London to see upcoming artists. The concert venue upstairs has a great intimate feel to it, but the pub downstairs is equally good.
V. Z.
Beautiful venue, great music and nice cocktails (almost all whisky-based)
C. W.
One of my favourite small music venues. Some great beers on tap downstairs. Pop up kitchen burger hit the spot.
C. L.
I went here for a concert and the venue was absolutely amazing! Great vibes, great drinks, great people - will definitely be coming back again soon!
J. M.
Saw a gig upstairs great band, great sound and great atmosphere then down stairs to pub just as goid
A. D. G.
I didn't like the music but if you love the 80s this is your place
M. C.
Great music venue with nice food including vegan and vegetarian options. Great choice of beers and spirits too.
C. R.
Beware, you might stay here later than you planned. Good vibes and good music so a great venue for a social evening. Food's not bad either.
D. W.
Get in before 2 and you can stay till late. Plenty of good beers and a great whiskey menu, live bands upstairs too, will cost you.
C. M.
Amazing veggie burger selection, decent drinks, but given how disorganised the staff are you could just turn up, take a seat, and accept one of the 15 meals they offer you that was ordered by somebody else! Eat for free! 😄
Other than that confusion, yeah, great place 👍
N. L.
Watched Meatwave here really small intimate venue up close and personal, didn't use the bar or pub but looked ok plenty of people in it
G. N.
Pleasant ambiance, delicious Greek cuisine 👌🏻
J. H.
Great Sunday Roast and lovely ambience - gets busy toward the later part of the afternoon on a Sunday so definitely worth heading in a little earlier to nab a spot. Service was friendly. Would go back
S. B.
Great pub. Good music, beer and atmosphere. What more could you want on a Friday night.
D. N.
I like the Lexington I go there occasionally is a old skool club pub, free entry but has club upstairs and there is entry fee, you have to be in a company of friends to have good time is how people socialize there, good place to go and on a prime location and has a club night almost every day people should check it out great place.
J. H.
Great bar with awesome craft beers and some truly special underground/noise rock gigs on sometimes. Wish I discovered this place ages ago!
R. B.
Fantastic pub with brilliant range of beers and whiskeys. Home to live music upstairs, friendly and unpretentious.
L. O.
It was good, i had fun and all. However , the staff was rude. Average place, i wouldn't recommended unless you're over 40. They only play music from the 70s.
c. M.
Charlie Hangdog's Loser Lounge every Sunday night is excellent, he plays the best funk soul and reggae all on 7" singles. Super cool.
S. A. M.
Best place to have drinks and listen to rock tunes. Extremely recommended for a Friday night.
C. N.
Great pub good selection of drinks lovely burgers and a fantastic music venue up stairs.
L. M.
Good food, beer, entertainment and staff.
A. Z.
Good place to drink and eat, normal prices. Upstairs there is a place to dance until 4am. Close to Angel station.
F. R.
This place is great, food and drinks are very good. It has a fantastic concert hall where I've heard the most beautiful concert of my life
S. B.
Went there for a leaving do. Awesome decor, music was good, cheap drinks. Go upstairs for wicked house music. Can get very crowded after 12 pm.
J. H.
Such an amazing venue and good drinks
M. P.
Decent burgers, good selection of beer although not enough real ale. The venue upstairs is great but the beer selection is limited.
M. C.
This was a fantastic place to stop and grab a brew on my way home after a long day. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable.
T. d. S.
Solid late night place. 6 quid to get upstairs where there's more space, less light, and a DJ. Perfect as the last stop on your night
Y. L.
Great venue for listening to indie bands
N. N.
Gem gem gem of a venue. Went to catch a Hard of Hearing show and wasn't disappointed.
Great beer and food served downstairs.. Do visit
A. H.
A fine pub with a good action of beers. We went for the music, so the quick and efficient service was very handy!
J. S.
Cool décor, vintage feel and incredible live music upstairs. One of my favourite pubs in this part of town.
D. A.
Old school pub in the middle of Angel. Ideal for watching any sporting events, huge floor to ceiling screen projector, decent vibe and atmosphere.
A. C.
Great bar with a friendly atmosphere and staff. Fantastic gig venue upstairs
J. H.
Great selection of whisky but definitely not cheap in terms of drinks great scuzzy gig and club venue upstairs. Also good for the odd jumble sale!
G. M.
Drinks great, staff great. Patrons and music on a Friday night, not so much..
S. H.
Awesome venue for live music. Great pub downstairs too
g. s.
Amazing! If there is one pub to go in London, you have the adresse
T. B. h.
I was shocked at why I was unlucky to enter the site and enter the map of London and I put you on a pub at the beginning, but the comments say it's a pub I do not plan to visit a pub in my life it's a place for bad people, When it comes to dance away from prostitutes and men and alcohol when we talk about music I love dancing and also there no matter how loud the voices will not complain to anyone so I think it is a suitable place if you want to dance without your comfort to anyone saying you lower the voice so I think it is a wonderful place of this area but from The rest are not
S. B.
Good beers & a good place to see live music, just what I like. The DJ downstairs played good music too!
S. M.
Decent reasonably priced beer, friendly staff, great sound upstairs, overall pretty good.
M. F.
Standard prices, defently sized setting however it gets pretty busy. If you like indie music and vintage bars this works well for you
N. W.
Always a great night out
S. L.
Love this place!
Pleasant, pub with nice people , lovely staff , good selection of beers and amazing Sunday roast.
R. M.
Excellent venue to watch bands, sound very good and great selection of different beers in the pub part of the venue
M.
Downstairs they play Beatles, Hendrix etc, upstairs lasers and dance. Open until super late, 4 I think, so a good spot to end up in as a last port of call
R. M. S.
Great local pub, good selection of ales and whiskeys and it's my favourite Sunday roast in London (being it back!).
K. M.
Great place for live music. The venue upstairs is great and regularly has good acts on.
G. B.
A nice place not far from a tube station, saw a gig here, has I wide selection of drinks with a good atmosphere and a medium size stage.
S.
Love this place good atmosphere with a live venue upstairs, I'd recommend the IPA if you're a fan of strong Beer.
S. C.
Nice selection of whiskies. Staff is friendly and the food was great. Chicken burgers are enourmous and tasty. Definitely coming back
L.
Good place to see bands. Sound system excellent. Good view of stage. Great beer!
N. W.
One of the best live music venues in London, best music quiz night in London, best whisk(e)y selection in London, best...Tina Turner was right wasn't she.
K. H.
Good food, great selection of bourbon and beer. Also hosts live music and late night dancing
H. D.
The venue room upstairs is great. Good sound, enough space but still intimate.
N. H.
Good music venue & nice vibe downstairs in main bar - serves late at weekends which is always good
D. D.
Great Place! Nice concert location in the 1st floor - we had a great party!
C. W.
Decent beers in the pub and a great music venue attached. Service is friendly but expect to wait for your drink
D. S.
That barmaid in a black dress with purple hair is well fit!
Good tunes throughout the night.
N. G.
Great live music venue with a friendly atmosphere. Drinks not cheap, but then it's London.
L. M.
Love this pub/club! Open late, great music (alternative/indie) and great drinks
P. R.
A great Rough Trade music quiz here takes place on a Monday hosted by Paul Guided Missile. Decent food and some ales.
A. R.
Probably the best sticky floor indie disco in London. Also a good pub with an expansive selection of bourbon.
G. C.
Lively atmosphere, great decor and lively staff. Has an excellent selection of American beers and whiskeys.
S. J.
Quality bands upstairs in a small venue. Doesn't take long to get a decent beer although no taps upstairs.
J. T.
Fun place for a drink, also a great intimate live music venue.
