Reviews of The Liberty Bounds - JD Wetherspoon
K. M.
Excellent food, drinks and a great location . Download the app, order and sit back and the food shows up. Very tasty and the atmosphere is awesome. They get buys and you may have to wait for a table but it’s worth the fee minutes you have to wait. Bathroom floor was wet but not from any other reason than someone running the sink water over.
J. F.
Would have been five stars if I was rating the food, however service and staff attitudes were shocking!!
Great place for breakfast, or any other time of day, ample seating inside even when it is busy, while tables are cleared quite quickly, there wasn’t a check back after I started eating to see if everything was ok.
Loving being able to order by the app, I would love to say it t works seamlessly, but there was a clear problem between ordering and being provided with the coffee’s, had to go to the bar as I hadn’t received a check back and was rudely told I hadn’t ordered one, showed my receipt and grudgingly provided with two cups.
The coffee station was dirty, see photo, but the free coffee refills are good.
Usual Spoons standard of breakfast, you know what you get and it is always competitively priced.
L. G.
Great value and a place to actually get food following a show. It was an eclectic crowd of people. I'd go there again. Plenty of vegetarian options.
H. H.
Poor service. Waiting long time for the food ordering through the apps. even just for a beer. food and drink is average wetherspoon. Was not happy with the service we had, minimal service.
D.
Nice little Wetherspoons by the Tower of London. Service is very quick and they usually have a full menu compared to some of the Wetherspoons nearby.
*.
Great views of The Tower of London and historic naval surroundings as it sits next to Trinity Gardens the memorial of naval seamen which is a beautiful and relaxed area. The food was well cooked and tender we had the mixed grill. The beer was good. Its a lively place that has a mixture of tourists and locals. It's a welcome sight after a hard day's sightseeing. The door is well controlled and they have high levels of security at the door and in the premises.
M. S.
What a great experience. We stopped here for a late breakfast before heading over to the Tower of London. For under £20 we got a big breakfast and a drink each. The staff were really friendly and the food was perfectly adequate (it's Wetherspoons after all). Our order arrived quickly and we were directed to the various sauces. Considering its location we were very pleasantly surprised at the experience.
C. S.
Loved the chill vibe of this place, and the fast service was a major plus. Also great food and drinks.
H.
Food was freshly made, really quick. Onion rings were crispy.
Beer we got nicely chilled. We been served by Giovanni. Really kind and polite waiter. Highly recommend!
R. P.
Great spot for an afternoon / evening pint and a meal, food was good and service was good also, lovely views of the Tower of London and the River Thames from the tables next to the front windows. Due to CoVid used the QR code on the tables to place order for food and drink.
R. S.
Well placed to Tower Hill and the pier, so perfect as a place to wait out any rain! However, service is a lot slower here than other Wetherspoons, being a good hour before we received our food and 20 minutes for one empty cup. Hygiene is also a little lacklustre, with tables being uncleared for a long period of time.
L. B.
Great amazing staff. Spending a little time down buy the tower of London we have used this Weatherspoons multiple times, the staff are amazing here and it's so friendly. The drinks and food are really good too! I will continue to use this pub when I'm in the area
E. R.
Brilliant view of Tower Bridge. It’s not spacious but there are quite a lot of tables cramped together. The service was fine but not fab. It gets even tricky when it’s crowded and the upstairs is closed during most of our visits due to lack of staff. The food was pleasant and had a nice time.
C. G.
I found I had lost my key when I returned home and evaluated that I must have dropped it onto a carpet. I phoned the Pub and the lovely staff found it by the table and kept it for me. I went straight back to collect it and they refused a reward for finding it. How kind is that?
I hadn't had any food on that visit but my friends enjoyed their food.
B. M.
Lovely hanging baskets outside, nice pub interior, very busy but efficient table service. Food good as in every Wetherspoons
J.
They really do a smashing curry, excellent quality and value.
M. D.
As always nice cheap and good place to have a seat and spend time with friends.

This is a nice pub, I visited March 2020. It's a JDW chain pub so I am used to the food and beer choices since there is one where I stay when in London as my local which I quite like, so the menu etc is very familiar to me. Given that it's a chain pubs so it's not very unique in other ways except the building which was quite nice on the interior. I think for me the food and beers were reasonably priced and it was just opposite the Tower of London with views so was worth a stop. I am sure there are other more traditional independent pubs in the area but I needed a drink while taking some folks around on a walking tour.
We had food and everyone was happy with quality and cost.
K. K.
Fantastic experience popping in here for lunch in December 2021. As Weatherspoons go one of the better ones, with two levels of seating and a great location too, right near Tower of London and tube station. Staff were friendly with us enjoying the food and drinks. I'd recommend visiting especially for tourists visiting Tower of London.
A. P.
Our first time at this venue, large building on three floors, very comfortable. The usual menu we ordered on the app, service very quick and good staff, food good so spent a pleasant evening
S. C.
Nice large pub but a couple of the male staff should get some better manners when asking drinkers to move. Excuse me would have been good. We were an amiable crowd spending plenty.
L. C.
Visited today for brunch. Staff were polite and helpful. Food adequate and good portion sizes. Quick service too, which was really good considering how busy it was.
S. G.
Food was quite nice. Busy. Shame about the lipstick on my drinks glass particularly whilst there's a pandemic and staff not easy to find to assist as they were so busy.
E. D.
Very good food and service!! . Just would
Like to point out that the place which is a very well designed and decorated is giving the impression of lack of cleaning and some things like leaks on the ceiling up stairs and some lack of fixing in items downstairs could be repaired without spend a lot of money and would give a fresh air to the place .
S. S.
There aren't many JDW pubs close to the city so this was a nice find opposite the Tower of London. Lots of seating, cheapest pints in Central London and plenty of staff serving. Not particularly busy which was nice.
R. P.
I've always been funny about using public toilets but today i had a big moment and took my first poo in a weatherspoons. I had managed to locate the gentleman's toilet, which was no mean feat due to poor signage. I found a roomy facility which appeared clean and inviting. There were 3 sinks with soap dispensers greeting me then further into the loo was the usual neolithic man troughs. I have never used these and today was going to be no different. Opposite these archaic relics was 3 cubicals, all of which were occupied by people who seemed to be panic using the available loo roll. As any normal and civilised man would do at this moment, I proceeded to wash and dry my hands 2 or 3 times until someone flushed and exited the first cubicle. To my horror this gentleman exited the facility without so much as acknowledging the wash basins. Anyway, nature called, and I decided I would never shake his hand if our paths crossed again. The door was sturdy and thick with a nice lock, the cubicle itself generous in size. I cleaned the seat and assumed the position. On my right was a double bog roll dispenser, which I've never really been able to figure out. I dropped dinner and my liquid beverage off and began to try to figure out how to retrieve the paper from its plastic prison. I had to turn the roll with one hand and tear with the other but after wipe 2 or 3 I figured out how to work the contraption. Being a back to front wiper I found the automatic flush sensor rather inconveniently positioned on the left hand side of me which meant that with each wipe the toilet would be turned into a Bday. If I was being optimistic I'd say it was an automatic courtesy flusher but after 8 or 9 showers I decided this was not an intended out come. Whilst taking advantage of the facilities I was shocked that 4 patrons clearly did not wash their hands once completing their toilet duties which I found strange as this is where weatherspoons toilets come into their own. A good scrub and rinse and you get to make use of their hand jets that announce your hygiene to the entire pub. I staggered back to my table and once again set about refilling my bladder. 9/10 would poo here again
B. G.
Awesome day out arrive by clipper for an even more special day out. The Beefeater so knowledgeable. Displays are fantastic. Family ticket good value
E. L.
Love a good weatherspoons! Good grub, same price you would expect anywhere even though its in londond. Which made me happy.
Friendly staff, good service, nice food arrived quickly.
The toilets were pretty grim. Half of which were unusable. But you can't have it all.
E. A.
Pub is ok but guiness was bad felt watery. Downed anyway
G. B.
Little direction by staff as we arrived or looking upstairs to seat as full downstairs. I said to the chap who served us, and very amenable, you all looked perplexed!! One staff member saw me looking upstairs which turned out to be shut, made no helpful comment. Not enthused to return.
J. W.
Great location and prices however due popularity can be very busy and you may have to wait for a table. Food basic but fine and drinks reasonably priced. Great place to catch up for a chat or to relax after a long day.
O. D.
When visited (over lunch), was not busy, servuce time was fast. We order over the app. Burger was freshly made and chicken was crispy.
2. D.
Hi went here for a breakfast which is served up to 12pm.
It's a really nice Weatherspoons but could do with a bit of a deep clean as some places on the carpets were sticky.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
It's in a great location next to Tower hill tube station, tower of London and tower bridge.
So not a bad place to stop and get some food at a reasonable price.
I have attached pictures of the menus so you can see what food they serve and the costs.
j. m.
Reliable old Wetherspoons, good food decent range of drinks and low prices. Went there when it was quiet food come out quick and was nice, nothing outstanding but it is a pub at the end of day. Can't remember if I have ever been to a bad Wetherspoons hence why I will always choose this over other places unless I want something more lively - music etc. Otherwise this is a great place to wind down sink a few drinks and maybe get a bite.
I. K.
At the time of visit, the place was absolutely packed. We only got a table because some people saw us waiting and they were leaving. Their upstairs area was closed due to short staff, which I as a service industry worker fully understand. Despite it being so busy, the food came just as quick as it normally does and it was of the same quality as any other Wetherspoons I've been to. The layout itself however was a bit unusual. There seemed to be a lot of tables crammed in not a lot space. Overall, it was more or less a Wetherspoons just like any other.
t. c.
Good food, reasonably priced as wetherspoon pub, good views of Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Shard
R. D.
When visiting London, this is a must visit for anyone travelling home to East London From a long day out, very relaxing and easy to get drinks even through the app If you're too tired to get to the bar!
G. D. (.
Very good starting place for a stag do. Always cheap but was impressed with range of beer. We had cooked breakfast with tea and coffee refills. Staff friendly and efficient. Lovely views over the water.
A. C.
Varied seating options but it was much better with the bar on the 1st floor. Which is the best place to sit. Especially in one of the 'boxes' to the rear. Or at the top of the second staircase and the immediately to the right.
T. T.
Loved this pub lots of character to it staff nice. The food was enjoyable apart from no gravy ☹ but seems none of them do it now sadly. Was a few mins walk from the Travel Lodge at Tower and the tube.
R. H.
Could not fault the staff for being helpful and extremely polite. Food was cooked well and despite the pub being full, breakfast was good. Get a new machine for the hot chocolate, it dispenses hot miky liquid no hot chocolate 😭
J. G.
Great pub! Food was delicious and ordering on the app was super easy.
N. C.
Sat 12th: The ground floor seems very cluttered with lots of plastic screens. The upstairs seating area appeared more calm and tidy.
M. D.
Excellent location, you get what you would expect at spoons. Disappointed they closed the upstairs area around 18:30 midweek, the downstairs felt too cramped
F. F.
Amazing food. Amazing staff. Amazing price
K. B.
Wetherspoons always great value and good food.
A menu for everybody.
First visit to The Liberty Bounds.
Idea for a visit to The Tower of London.
T. W.
Great location, nice selection of drinks, yummy Haggis and Chicken Tikka Marsala. Weekly Deals. Newsletter on line.
S. Y.
Very nicely decorated with good food and beverage, comfortable seating and friendly staff, also very reasonable priced drinks..
O. F.
Another great spoons pub
4 / 20 for the day
D.
The most reasonably priced place to get food in the local area. Yeah, it's spoons, but you're in tourist trap central and if you want decent food for less than £20 your options are limited!
S. C.
Very nice ,staff are good and friendly. Lovely and clean .decor is beautiful
C. W.
Busy but found a table upstairs. Ordered drinks on the app and they came quickly, will defo be back
C. M.
Great place, good food, prompt service and friendly staff can't go wrong for a weatherspoons would deffo go again!
V. B.
It’s just across Tower Of London’s tickets office. Nice 2 level sitting area. There were two staff exclusively to serve at the upper level. Nice place with a view of Tower of London and Tower Bridge. As always recommended!
D. G.
Excellent place. Great dishes and very affordable prices. Has kids menu. And very good beers too!
A. B.
Nice Wetherspoons, friendly staff and very cheap food/drink for central London. Would highly recommend popping in if you're after a quick bite and drink.
T. R.
Stunning location and not what you'd imagine an Whetherspoons to look like. If nearby, one to go to with it being so near to central London
J. J.
Food was good and didn't wait long for it to be served. Inside decor could do with upgrading a bit and toilets were bit untidy. Enjoyed the evening though.
G. B.
Held my retirement do here. Brilliant bar staff really made a difference Thank you
D. G.
A nice place to grab a drink. Opposite tower of London so popped in after we had been there. Got a table straight away, dividers between tables. Very clean and good fast service
D. K.
Great service, freshly grinded coffee, free refill. And good food to a good price. Brunch at sundays, but we found out after eating breakfast.
A. B.
Good quick service despite being extremely busy. Food was warm and what you would expect from a Wetherspoons.
A. B.
Good value for money... The usual Witherspoons pub grub... Nice view of Tower Bridge from our table..
S. S.
The atmosphere is good, the staff is really friendly. Everything is reasonably priced.
Don't miss the chicken curry!
L. F.
Quick service good food. The only downside is sometimes you cant get a table as its a very popular and busy pub
P. H.
Had a great meal here including drinks great value for money and unlimited hot drinks which was a great bonus good place to eat if visiting Tower of London or Tower bridge
M. C.
A pleasant and friendly pub.
Standard Witherspoon's fare but nice and I will be going again.
K. D.
Now this is a fun place to stop for lunch before going into the Tower for a tour. We ordered beer and a plate of Bangers and Mash. It was tasty and we learned that peas are a standard addition to the sausage and mashed potatoes. Although quite busy, we were served well and did not have to search out our server. I would return.
T. M.
Staff were not very helpfull at all and they were only showing the england game on 1 tv with no sound other wetherspoons locally were showing on full screens
J. M.
Loved it :) an excellent service and great food
B. D.
Visited The Liberty Bounds while on a holiday in London. Good selection of beers, ciders and food. We really liked that they had deals when you ordered food and drinks together. Absolutely loved the spicy chicken wings; it was so flavorful! Got several gin and tonics (double gin) but it was not strong at all. I felt like I was drinking just tonic water the whole time. They served the drink on this huge wine glass with tons of ice that the drink got severely watered down. Other than that, I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant/bar.
D. B.
Love this Wetherspoons!! Ordered via the app which I love.. The drinks were brought over promptly by a very polite and inviting barmaid, the food was also brought over by the same barmaid.. I had the wetherspoon lasagne for the the first time, as you can tell by what was left on my plate, it didn't disappoint, it was lovely, though I felt the portion was a bit on the small side.. My friend had the New York burger which she loved.. Unfortunately the "pornstar martini" was a big let down, I have no idea what recipe is being used to make it, but it needs to be changed to a more traditional one using passion fruit.. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this pub to everyone!!
O. S.
Nice cozy pub with a great view of Tower Bridge. Good prices as expected at a Wetherspoons.
C.
At my time of visit (Sunday 12th) the staff mentioned they was short staffed so had to close the upstairs. We waited for a table to be free downstairs during the breakfast rush and a couple offered to give me theirs as they were leaving. Fast service despite the conditions the staff were put in.
K. G.
Very busy as it was Remembrance Sunday, lovely and clean, everybody was lovely and friendly, toilets very clean, always pop in there after the service at the Tower.
I. H.
Excellent location, staff are extremely polite and attentive.
R. C.
Awesome place, an excellent cost/benefit ratio, really liked the method of ordering wit the table number and paying right away on the bar.
r. m.
Lively and cheap. It's a Wetherspoons in London, be grateful for the cheap. Perfect for a drink after a day out but certainly lacking that old dark London pub vibe.
M. L.
On a very hot day, fans were needed. It was uncomfortably hot. The food was ok, a theme with Wetherspoons is to overcook everything!! Anything fried is double fried, and things are always missing- sauces, condiments, salads, drinks... Despite this, an ok meal.
L. P.
It is what it is.
Pub, food drinks, but it.has nice views.of the tower of London and the historic information in there a good read.
L. M.
Ordered burger and chips and onion rings, but given knife and spoon!!! Apparently none washed up. 12:30 pm. Need to get basics right. Food not very hot either. Won't be rushing back.
P. B.
Went there for breakfast, along with lots of others. Very popular great value set's you up for the day
D. O. B.
Good food and drinks for little money, chill pub-like vibe and good service.
B. L.
Usual fantastic wetherspoons value for beer and food in a great location overlooking the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Pints of ale from less than £3 in Central London makes this well worth a stop and the pub is set in a lovely old building.
P. I.
It's a good place to finish a walk, either from London Bridge to Monument then Tower Hill. Or Tower Hill from Southbank.
Good location ample seating (you won't find an open seat in summer) and good 'pub grub'. Nothing fancy, not a Valentine's special or a Mother's day celebration meal, but good comfort food.
Also large variety in drinks, from pints to gins and wines. All-in-all a great pub.
E. P.
Food made me feel unwell but the atmosphere was nice.
Service was slow but i think they were lacking staff members so that may explain why ...
would suggest prahaps going early lunch time rather than late afternoon as it was very crowded
the pub is easy to get to via train and is just a 2 minute walk acros the park to get there .
G. S.
It's a Wetherspoons, so it's pretty rough and ready. The food is very good value for money I think. Yes, it's bog standard pub food but I've had far worse in 'proper' restaurants for alot more money. I really like the fact that you can use their app to order food and drink. You just find a table, open the app and order what you want. The wait for it to be delivered really wasn't long, I was impressed. Even for a busy London pub (and being so close to two stations and the Tower of London) it does very busy.
D. K.
It was a good experience. Loved the gravy. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great place to get out of the cold and warm up with some food.
C. A.
A large, oddly shaped pub near the Tower of London. It is a bit soulless, clearly designed to cater for a large throughput of tourists and out of towners. But it does nonetheless have a nice atmosphere. So if you are a jaded Londoner why not let cheerfulness of these happy visitors rub off on you. Appreciating that you live in this historic city.
T. B.
Always one of our pit stops when visiting London. Staff, food are great. Highly recommend
k.
Nice food, portions bit small and limited selection apparently due to supply issues still?
L. d. P.
Classic Wetherspoons experience, low prices, decent beers. Usually frequented by all ages.
L. W.
Came here for all our breakfasts while in London. Very good wetherspoons. Good covid measures in place. Food and staff were good. Location is great, right across the road from the tower of London.
C. N.
Great atmosphere and service. They were insanely rammed, but we still got our drinks with a couple of minutes and food within 10-15. Food was all good and hot.
G. M.
Had Breakfast here was very good my only complaint would be that it was not very hot
A. S.
Very popular and busy pub. Great selection of beers at great prices. Food selection also very good.
J. D.
Had a reasonable meal here. Service was efficient even though the pub was really crowded. Food OK and typically Wetherspoons but overall a good lunch.
J. P.
Good food, great value for money considering the super location. Busy but we didnt have to wait to long for a table
J. M.
Good food and drink. Staff is friendly but don't mess about. I saw a person fly out of their chair, go full on horizontal plank, and land spread out on the floor. They were asked to leave nicely before getting carried out. Good times!
R. S.
Staff were great. They were helpful and friendly. Food and drink was nice. It is what it is a witherspoon so you get ok food at cheap prices. Good value for the central London. The toilets are a mile away as always but there is an accessible set on the ground floor.
R. F.
Where else can you get a large mixed grill and coke for under £12 in London. Decent grub and good service.
J. D.
Our favourite witherspoon in UK - The Liberty Bounds, just for its location at the heart of London, great views of Tower Bridge and The Tower of London.
The staff have always been friendly in here, the food hot and the drink cold......
Well worth a visit.
S. D. G.
Great pub - near Tower of London! VERY Friendly staff, clean & overall a pleasant experience!
A. M.
Weatherspoons pub, good food and service, excellent value and would go again.
d. b.
Great service using the app. Comfortable pub, good location.
A. M.
Great range of beer. Funny old layout inside but good for a couple of pints. Effectively 3 for the price of 2 in this location - can't go wrong.
D. J. v. S.
Loved the place! A bit busy, but well... it's just next door to the Tower! Good food, nice location. 🍖🥗🍺🍾🥃🍧
L. D.
Best spoons I've ever been to I believe. Staff are friendly, and the views of the bridge is amazing. I don't think anywhere in the UK can have a better view offered from a spoons point of view.
C. D. A. V.
Just great. Lots of food, awesome taste, great environment, reasonable price.
Ideal
s. h.
Myself and my partner stop here at least once a week for bite to eat, couple of drinks or just a coffee., their pizza's are always great and generously topped ( compared with other Weatherspoons) my only criticism would be the amount of wobbly tables, sort them out! 😉
D. S.
This is a nice pub close to the Tower of London. Food and service was excellent. My only criticism is that the furniture and carpet requires restoration.
B. J.
Loved this pub! Excellent choice for an epic breakfast if you're staying nearby. Atmosphere is great with the old British pub style, two floors, plenty of seating with great bar and server staff. Food was great for breakfast and they have some really good deals. Nothing better than a cider in the morning.
B. W.
Very busy pub with attentive staff, great selection of drinks at reasonable prices.
M. D. F.
Popped in with some friends to have a quick meal. The tables were full and finding a place to sit was difficult. We ended up sitting near the toilets which wasn't very nice. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was very good for the price. Staff were very friendly, and it was overall very clean.
B. G.
Had the large mixed grill here a couple of times but today was not one of their best. Both the gammon and beef were dry and lukewarm. Poor results that couldn’t be rescued even by the addition of sauce. Took ages to get served first time too - the app for table service removed this issue with subsequent orders. Drinks were as expected from Wetherspoons, no complaints there.
M. J.
We used their app and never had to move from the table. The staff were very quick and efficient and the whole experience was great.
M. C.
Great location with a view, it took a while to work out how to use online ordering but food and drinks were served very quickly. Staff were polite and helpful.
Note, their website is not formatted for phones so order using their app, it's much easier.
A. B. (.
Another best place to cheers couple of pints after work near Tower Bridge and Monument area in Central London
R. K.
Very good. Fantastic food, beer. Amazing, near tower bridge.
R. H.
Cheap and cheerful. Just what you expect from a Wetherspoons. Food was served quickly and service was efficient.
D. E.
Be careful - its tempting to have a double here because you pay lots less than the standard non spoons London public house
w. t.
Lovely location just beside Tower Bridge, service is not bad. Beautiful environment. Even the variety is same as other Wetherspoons but better for its location and atmosphere.
G. S.
Order via an app so little interaction with waitrons. Meals are prepared quickly, there are other Wetherspoons with the same dishes tasting better.
N. M.
The Liberty Bounds was a welcomed site after walling for hours and in serious need of food and drink. It was a hot day in London and we came across this pub by chance. Staff were not the chattiest but served our food in a timely manner. I asked for a shandy and got a normal pint and the onion rings were overcooked these are the only negatives to the place. Pub with a fab view of the tower bridge.
C. F.
Chain pub, which is known for being inexpensive. They also serve food which is reasonable but nothing to write home about. Not much to say about it because if you visit one Wetherspoons you have visited them all.
As of early August 2021 they still have a few pandemic-related measures in place. For example they do not want customers standing around chatting, they want everyone sitting at a table. That's usually OK except that we visited yesterday in a very large group (30+) which spilled across many tables. Cross-table conversations involved people wanting to get up and walk/stand around, which drew the ire of the security staff.
Aside from that, which probably won't last too much longer, everything was good there.
E. t.
You would like this place, If you like weatherspoon but it was too busy for my liking.
M. G.
It has great views over the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Despite its busy Central London location, it still has a relaxed feel about the place. The staff are very friendly and welcoming providing an efficient service. The food was good and good value for money.
J. C.
Tried to use the QR code to order food, but the Web page didn't give me any options to select drinks. Waited at the bar for 10 mins, but the food came out in about the same time. We ordered kids meals, so I know they're microwave, so simple. Easy food, full bellys!
A. K.
Great breakfast , friendly & polite great atmosphere 5 star😃😃😃😃😃👍
M. W.
Lovely food great service and ideal location from my hotel
D. H.
Wetherspoons in tower Hill London is a lovely pub with good food and a pleasant friendly atmosphere, would definitely recommend to others.
j. o.
It's wetherspoons in London!! If you have been in one of the many many pubs owned by this company you know what to expect...even though it is close to a major attraction the prices weren't too bad around 5 pound a pint ... cheap for London...even had meal and a drink for a tenner ...it's standard fare and doesn't disappoint....beer is decent and plenty to choose from...it's all good...but it did get very busy that was the only downside.. overall a good visit and worthy of a pint or 3 ....
S.
Always call in here when am in London, good pub for a quick meal and drink.
M. M.
Good view of the tower and tower bridge. It's a Wetherspoons, so food is ok, good selections of beer and don't rip you off with London prices
P. S.
Very good food we had there. Only thing is in app it is specified that it is open till 1 AM, but unspecified that kitchen closes by 11 PM. I think this kind of transparency should be maintained in the app or on the entrance of the restaurants.
J. P.
Great food at great prices. Staff are very polite and friendly 😊
A. B.
Great spoons in a good location, can get very busy tho.
I. B.
Lovely meal. Very good value for money.
J. B.
One of the cheapest places in the area to drink and eat with friends, but good luck finding a table.
P. W.
Great pub, location and excellent staff who were friendly and efficient.
G. G.
Customer service here is fantastic….. food was hot which has been a rarity at other venues lately…
The manager on shift was extremely pleasant and again went above expectation..
This spoons is an example of how others around the country should aspire to be ….
l. O.
Table service through witherspoon app the food was served in less than 20 minutes and was well cooked and good value for money staff were attentive to our requests and cvery helpful. Very good food and such low prices
A. S.
Service Was Quick, only down side tables were very close together and not all condiments were available
E. P.
It's normally self-service but now with Corona you can order through an app. Staff is really helpful. We had some bad luck day and had lots of things happening when we visited, but staff remained friendly and professional. I lost a jewel and the staff helped me find it. Later on, my friend was stuck on the toilet because the lock was stuck and they forced the lock on the outside. I also spilled some of my drink by accident, and they came to clean up the table. Food and snacks are good and it's not expensive. Definitely worth a visit, even though it's for a quick drink.
B. B.
A decent wetherspoon. Well kept cask ales when on and can't complain about food. Actually seems to have a good atmosphere in this pub and for a tourist I think trying a wetherspoon even for a quick ale or cocktail is a novel look into modern British life
L. J.
Nice place to drink at anytime. Great views of the Tower Bridge and Tower of London.
A. S.
Very nice location, fair prices and tasty burgers
P. F.
Wetherspoons, much like other ones in the country! Opposite Tower of London and handy for cheap breakfast if staying in local hotel!
c. h.
Enjoyed night, staff good ,food good .one of weatherspoons good pubs.
P. C.
Another friendly weathspoons pub it was busy the day we were there, but still found a table. Food and drinks were served fairly quickly by helpful staff. Covid19 code was followed very well and made customers fell comfortable and safe. Another tick in the box for weathspoons.
L. D.
Wetherspoons.........what else do you need to know? Cheaper drink and food than the rest of London, but still more expensive than our local spoons.
Also extremely busy when the offices kick out at 5pm till at least 7/8pm and tables were left messy and not clean.
B. W.
Lovely friendly staff, always happy to help and the food is very good.
D. c.
Top spoons, pricier than the average spoons due to location, staff are polite and food is typical spoons fare
e. c.
First time here, stopped off for a drink with a friend. Upon arrival a guy was there to explain about scanning the code and then showed us to a table. Loads of space but upstairs was closed off. Toilets are upstairs and must say toilets were clean and checked. We did not have food but we did get drinks. Was easy and quick to order through the app. Drinks came quick and were presented well. Was nice to stop in on a hot day like it was today.
A. G.
A Wetherspoon's so does what it says on the tin really. Has lots of seating both upstairs and downstairs and is just across the road from the Tower of London.
Loses the 5th star as it's always boiling in there no matter what time of the year - good on a freezing winter day though I guess!
L.
Quick service nice food great views of Tower of london
D. S.
They are not great at the order and poured incorrect drinks and forgot our snacks. Atmosphere was good
T. W.
Nice pub but hard no wheelchair ramp to get in
G. W.
A Wetherspoon pub overlooking the Tower of London. Great range of beers and food at very reasonable prices. Don't forget All Hallow's church opposite.
L. B.
For a Weatherspoons this place is ok. For London it's very good value.
B. A.
Very busy waited 20 mins for a bacon sandwich that when arrived was like warm and under cooked.
C. B.
We ate breakfast here twice in the last 2 days. Staff were pleasant and very helpful.
Everyone was happy with what they ate
O. N.
Nice deco but when we came it was very crowded and the waiters obviously could not handle the situation so long wait....
M. W.
Had breakfast but was cold by time we got it but other than that it's a nice place and staff are friendly easy ordering !
M. D.
Great experience, very good system for ordering and nice staff
J. A. M.
Your typical wetherspoons except more expensive than elsewhere in england. Found the chips to be a higher quality here and appreciated the USB charging stations.
T. T.
Very busy went to eat before heading home after a day out in London, service was quick and food lovely for the price.
A. v. C.
A decent Spoons pub, with fast service on the app and, as usual, cheap beer. Thank you!
A. D.
Good place to eat, but busy and more expensive than local Weatherspoons. A great atmosphere as in London by the Tower of London and Tower Bridge 🌉 👍
M. E.
Staff are friendly & hopeful
great atmosphere, food is pretty good with good standard prices along with drinks.
M. C.
Beautiful traditional pub with unbeatable prices and astonishing view of historic Tower Bridge. Massive space and very tasty food. Probably one of my favourites
C. V. J.
A cool hang out place, helpful staff, ambience could be nicer
J. M.
Nice and big here lots of room for families and good food at a good price.
s. W.
Most enjoyable good selection of beers food excellent
T. C.
Does amazing burgers with the option to double up the burger. Chips were nice and fresh and the meal was completed with a pint which was included in the price. You can use the app to order and the food gets delivered to the table. Perfect for those who aren't keen on making orders in person. Also for those who want to sit tight and just watch they're food magically appear Infront of them. Overall great experience for the price. Definitely worth going for a nice lunch.
Y. I.
good but they serve black tea only
D. P.
Went here with kids and adults, everyone happy with the food. Clean and friendly service. 4 adults and 4 kids for £55. Where else you gonna do that around the Tower? Excellent
T. D.
An excellent pub with good food
M. K.
Great location, just off the tower of London. Everything you would expect from a weatherspoons
B. B.
Very close to sky garden, great choice of drinks and foods, usually full. Prices of beer best we found in London.
D. G.
Cheap enough and food is ok, your typical spoons really. No complaints from me. Oh the team member that took our food and drinks over were really nice also.
B. S.
Fantastic value for money, always extremely busy.
H. G.
Great price. Would recommend drinks for the price. Toilets are more fancy yet standard wheathetspoons layout otherwise.
E. C.
Brilliant building, brilliant location. Prices are a bit higher than your usual Witherspoon though.
D. C.
Very busy as it was rembreance Sunday but still a nice atmosphere.
J. C.
Very busy but didn't have to wait to long food was great.
B. S.
The 2 guys that brought the meals out, very friendly
Made sure we had everything needed
Sat watching them through out the visit,
Looked after every visitor with no issues
J. H.
Usual wetherspoons fair, pub is clean and tidy
A. A.
Nice staff, Although my pinini was cold. but the chips were awesome.
G. G.
Superb service, food and I highly recommend!!
I eat hereafter and love the food. Service is quick, ordering with the app is easy and works well.
Top marks!
K.
Excellent place, quick service, tasty food, cold beer! :)
S. W.
Nice pub with dining tables set on two levels.
M. H.
Brilliant little pub, great beer and standard pub grub food. Helpful staff, great location....
C. B.
Food was ok but it was very busy and noisy
W. C.
The food was amazing and I don't think there is anywhere it can be eaten by in London for the price. Quick service too was an added bonus, so would definitely recommend.
S. C.
Really nice Wetherspoons. We went for a breakfast on a Saturday morning. Ordered on the app and it came very quick. Nice restaurant
A. C.
Good value for money food and drinks! Lots of ales to choose from as well :)
D. B.
All round Good, Service, Food and Drink.
Above Average,
Wetherspoons.
R. N.
Good location. very nice pub
B. O.
One of the nicest wetherspoons open til midnight on a Sunday good service interesting history and information displays
R. S.
Great pints and service right by Tower Bridge and Tower of London 👌🏽
L. B.
Nice pub, lovely chips not too expensive.
N. C.
Cheap prices, clean and tidy but nothing to wow you...food was fine but clearly microwaved and of average quality
V. C.
Great location, staff and service all good, considering it was a Fri night we got a table very quickly and no delay with our drinks.
t. m.
The staffs are great.
Nice bar to have a drink.
T. H.
A great pub very close to the Tower of London. It's a Witherspoon's, so it is good value and less than typical London prices. I have visited many times and will go again
l. c.
Stopped here for a quick evening meal before visiting the shard as only across the river, well you get what you pay for I guess sirloin steak was over cooked, and so much fat think they gave me rump instead, was lucky to get a seat as very very busy, one rude member of staff, others were very friendly.
B.
Good service and choice of beers.Great views of The Tower of London plus Tower Bridge.
P. N.
Great pub with a lovely view of the tower of London
D. T.
You either love or hate wetherspoons pubs but I have to say the food and service were excellent. Great large breakfast that set us up for the rest of the day.
J. E.
Awesome food and friendly staff with good selection of beer, wine and spirits. Nice place for a date or to hang out with friends.
N.
Great spot near tower bridge and great value for money.
H. A. F.
Extremely busy when we visited, we needed to walk around for a while to finally get a table but the food was fine. Typical pub food with large drinks, definitely what we needed at the time. Luckily you are not chased out after being done to be able to catch up with your friend but keep in mind that your seat is valuable.
a. t.
Great Spoons in the shadow of the Tower. We always breakfast here when staying at a nearby hotel
R. C.
Nice place quiet enough to have a conversation without having to shout. Food is decent and not that expensive.
S. e.
It's a Weatherspoons, what do you expect. Food prices, drink all good and consistant
P. D.
Great bar very polite Staff, good beer and meals served at a reasonable price. 😋
J. F.
Great beer selection - I mean it - quick service. Use online orders, though it's somewhat impersonal, it is easy and let waiters to get you the food. For just beer, it is better to go to the counter. Best food for the price, my son wanted to go here on the last day of our visit. There are mobile phone charging available at some tables, just bring a cable.
i. m.
Nice atmosphere busy staff served quickly
C. C.
Good average Wetherspoons, good price for food in London and drinks, however service can be incredibly slow at times.
D. B.
Basic Wetherspoon, but the food came creepily quickly, I mean faster than fast food. We were concerned when we heard the microwave going.
P. L.
Great pub and proper prices. Fast service when ordering from the table.
J. N.
The food was fantastic basically as you would expect for a Weatherspoons
P. W.
Relaxed atmosphere, visited Saturday lunchtime and again in the evening. Good customer service, Covid track and trace, masked staff, partitions and easy to use app with delivery of food and drinks direct to table. X
R. E.
Well presented pub with a view of the Tower of London ,Tower bridge and the Shard.
D. F.
Love this pub. Perfect location
F. S.
Beautiful location and pub. Good beers as well. If you are around the zone, it worths a visit.
W. S.
Great little historic venue the false library is brilliant. As always a good standard of Wetherspoons food
P. S.
Very nice helpful staff.. had a couple of beers and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
If in the area I would definitely recommend ...
L. W.
Was busy but had a great meal
K. M.
Food was good, my gammon was nice but the jacket potato my partner got was very small and mostly salad and little filling. The whole place was VERY loud. We are both autistic and had to leave as soon as we had finished our meals, we didn't even have our drinks. They were good with my partners wheelchair though so that is a plus (they let us in a back entrance). So good in theory but with some down sides.
Y. H.
Very quiet with lovely views of Tower of London. Friendly helpful staff.
A. G.
Nice food and friendly staff. Served in minutes and had very happy lunch. Considering the location it's not crowded and very good indeed.
R. R.
What a great atmosphere and the staff exceeded our expectations the place was very busy we where served with our drinks in minutes goeing back for breakfast
K. B.
Good beer, good food and good company (old work mates)
A. E.
Enjoyed it and the Weatherspoons app made ordering simple and quick.
A. W.
Loved it. Food and drink and the Staff were great. Definitely will be going back.
A. T.
Typical Weatherspoon pub, great food, good prices and friendly staff.
R. G.
I have frequented this pub over many years on my visits to the Capital, good food, good beer, fast efficient, cheerful service, l am here for 9 days, why go anywhere else.
l. d.
One of the cheapest pubs I visited in London good friendly staff.
J. L.
Typical Weatherspoons pub so you know what you can expect.
A. G.
Very nice pub across from the Tower of London. We went in as a family of four after trekking through all the sights in the Tower. My kids are 6 and 11 and were welcomed. They had a Coke while my wife and I had a wine and beer. It's a traditional London pub but is multi-level with an over 18 section upstairs. Good spot for sure.
K. E.
Not really any air conditioning, so very warm wherever you sit. Service is a bit slow but overall, OK.
T. S.
Visited this place for lunch in summer of 2017, on the recommendation of our tour guide. I had to try the fish n chips while vacationing. I must say that it was great! I was surprised at how crispy the fish was, without being oily at all. You can get a great view of the Tower Bridge if you sit upstairs. I highly recommend this place.
C. W.
Quick service hot food Wetherspoon at it's best
l. b.
Good food and fast service. It was a very hot day but the air conditioning was not on so was very uncomfortable whilst there.
l. g.
Very crowded on Saturday evening. Couldn't find the table for six of us.
B. M.
A Wetherspoon's pub so excellent value for money. Order your drinks at your table on their app and your drinks appear within a few minutes. Your food appears shortly afterwards. It is of a very acceptable standard and nicely served. Order a coffee and have unlimited refills. Definitely no frills but very acceptable food and service.
B. C.
Again, another great JD Wetherspoons pub, fabulous building overlooking The Tower and Tower Bridge. Usual good pub grub and excellent prices, with fine service.
A. L.
Not too bad for a weatherspoons although service wasn't great
M. G.
App failed to give correct info about food availability so 1* however staff guy collecting plates etc asked me if I needed anything and when told found out real situation ie order at bar so 4*
K. R.
You can see tower bridge from this place and is amazing. The food quality is good as in any wetherspoon
K. “. T.
Excellent food and prices ...friendly staff
L.
Attentive staff. Fast ordering outdoors with the app and nice location. Didn't try the food.
B. J.
Loved this pub! Excellent choice for an epic breakfast if you're staying nearby. Atmosphere is great with the old British pub style, two floors, plenty of seating with great bar and server staff. Food was great for breakfast and they have some really good deals. Nothing better than a cider in the morning.
I. S.
One of my favorites!!! Lot of memories, with a lot of friends.
G. W.
A Wetherspoon pub overlooking the Tower of London. Great range of beers and food at very reasonable prices. Don't forget All Hallow's church opposite.
G. W.
Great value for money. Food is very good. Normal selection of pub grub. Very clean.
f.
Good food and drinks. You might book a arable, but we were able to get in on a Saturday night.
D. S.
Great curry's lot real ales clen .Great staff
J. D.
not a bad place. Parking was a little bit of a mess, but that's not exactly their fault. I didn't get much chance to talk to the staff or engage with anyone, but I did like the building and they did have a pretty reasonable selection of beers. I'm not on this side of town very often, and I doubt I will be seeking them out, but if I did happen to be nearby I would go back happily.
K. “. C.
This is a JD Wetherspoon's location. It has a better menu than the one located outside London Liverpool Street with many more options. Pricing is similar to other 'spoons throughout the city. Slightly higher than your average town, but not too high.
Location is absolutely superb! It is directly across from the Tower of London! A short walk from the Tower Hill Underground station. Highly recommended before, or after visiting the Tower.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you're looking to avoid high prices, and get some decent food, this is your place!
N. L. M.
Really decent prices for food and drink for the area. Interesting building, as always with Wetherspoons, as well.
J. B.
I’m a regular at this pub visiting most weeks. It offers very reasonably priced drinks and make a good location to sit and chat with friends.
The cleanliness of toilets could often be improved on but what do you expect from a Wetherspoon pub.
s. j.
Lovely place to chill out ,with best beer pizza combo deals under 10 GBP , Cheer's!
G. E.
Enjoyed a few drinks here after the Thames rib ride.
M. M. F.
In a couple of times for food and drinks. Can't fault this 'spoons everything was spot on.
R. M.
Lovely building with lots of history, great atmosphere here. Food reasonably priced, drinks pricey for a Wetherspoons.
A. G.
Nice pub,good for families.
G. W.
Great value for money. Food is very good. Normal selection of pub grub. Very clean.
P. M.
Good food and drink shame the tables weren't cleared and cleaned in a timely fashion.
K. I.
Really busy as it had started raining at the lunch rush but managed to find a table upstairs. Did have to clear it ourselves and share with another family but we didn't mind. Great location plus we were warm and dry. Food was as expected, fair quality for what you pay. Ordered on the app and it came quick enough. Toilets were clean and there was plenty of them. Good experience overall
L. W.
This place was busy. Ended up going upstairs to find seating, but that's not a problem.
Staff was friendly.
Food and drinks were good as well as pretty decently priced. I ordered the 3 app for 12quid, and had the loaded nachos, cheese fries & chicken tenders. Food was fresh and flavorful.
Drinks were good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but well made and decently priced.
M. P.
The staff were dealing with new cv19 rules efficiently but without being heavy-handed. Bar staff kept the drinks coming without waiting and there was plenty of choice.
Its a shame the rules kill the atmosphere but it was still good.
A. M.
Cheap, reasonable quality food. Came out quick, so handy if you're in a rush.
C. P.
The location is great- 5 minutes from Tower Bridge - and the decor was really original and on point (I loved the frames with information on historical British personalities).
It's nice to be able to find affordable food in such a central part of London.
Attention to hygiene was also on point.
J.
Excellent bacon sandwiches and orange juice for breakfast. The ham, egg and chips is also very good for lunch/dinner. Perfect location very close to the river, loads of space and tables with good views. Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of beers. Very sensible prices for central london.
K. B.
Inexpensive and tasty food, good selection of draft and bottled beers. Eggs Royale in the picture below.
S. W.
It's a basic wetherspoons but gets very busy
A. P.
Good beer. Good food. Busy pub. I had the classic burger and for the price it was a good meal. I tried a few of the craft ales. The Sidepocket was good and the other golden ale on tap (I cannot remember the name) was also very nice. It is a good pub at a great location. It is perfect if you want to have lunch in the city without breaking the bank. I once had the lamb shank before and that was a fantastic meal!
P. K.
A nice big pub with plenty of food and drink options
P. M.
it was just ok nothing special food ok staff really good and helpful.
N. H.
Typical 'spoons. Decent, cheap food & drinks. Being central London it was very busy so prepare to hover for tables. It took a while for staff to clear empty tables but the bar staff served quickly and service was friendly. The window seats afford a view of tower bridge.
J. S.
An oasis of value in the heart of an overpriced tourist hot-spot. This Wetherspoon's provides the usual selection of well-priced food and drink in an ideal position for visitors to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the historical City of London. Two pints for under 8 quid in this area is unique and is reflected by the pub's popularity. Great for public transport too!
L. A. d. P.
It's a spoons. It's cheap and cheerful. The rate of clearing could be improved and it seemed pretty messy when we arrived and just got worse while we were there. But it is a spoons and I'm not expecting loads. The drinks were ordered on the app and came really quickly so I'd recommend for a drink if you're near.
J. G.
Surprisingly cheap meals considering it's in London and litterally just a couple of minutes walk from Tower Bridge.
T. S.
The Liberty Bounds is a great wetherspoons based in a popular tourist filled area. Inside, the place looks amazing. It is filled with people and you can sit wherever you like!
For the best seats, I'd recommend sitting upstairs in one of the booths along the wall. I ordered a fish and chips with Lemonade and the entire meal was delicious. The food was nice and hot and very tasty.
I would recommend going here anytime even if you have kids.
M. G.
This place is one of my favorite places in all of London.
Now of course it’s in a tourist area, of course it doesn’t do anything beyond special and of course it’s a spoons, and some people just don’t like those.
But you are getting good food, good drinks and good service for a reasonable price and views of the tower bridge from their second floor. The audience is in general quite relaxed and the staff is friendly. You remember your table number and order by the counter and they bring it to your table. Their menu is big enough so that everyone should find something. You get your usual British bar food, burgers and stuff like that.
If you’re in the area at night and you want some beers and some really decent food and don’t wanna pay a fortune, go ahead and give these guys a go. You won’t be disappointed!
T. D.
Great service - food very average but thats what you expect from a spoons. food and drinks came quick
M. B.
This is a old bank in the city of London, which has been turned in to a restaurant. Is is big in size and has a upstairs area. There are rooms to use if you have a big group.
The food is good and lots of choices. It's normal serve quick. And there is a bar area as well. If you in the area , and need a meal. Give it a try. Good food and prices.
m. r.
Good Wetherspoons pub in Central London.
K. R.
You can see tower bridge from this place and is amazing. The food quality is good as in any wetherspoon
J. B.
The daily specials they have are amazingly priced and the portions are large enough to really fill you up. It's perfect for when you're on a budget but want to eat well and experience some British classics. Could easily feed 2 people with alcoholic drinks included for less than £20.
M. G.
Great 'spoons pub with friendly staff, good service of typical pub grub with not too long waits. Suitable for after work drinks, family meals while seeing The Tower of London or just a quick drink at the bar. Decent range of real a at competitive London prices.
C. F.
Busy, and a bit hot inside , but a good place to get a drink. Right opposite the tower
M. S.
Great location by Tower Hill Underground. The pub is a bit tired looking and could do with a refurb but it was warm and welcoming all the same.. Low price, great service and fast food. And the app for ordering from your table makes it a winner. Great views too if you can get a window seat.
L. P.
Always come here on the way home on a Sunday morning for breakfast after a weekend up London (from essex). Always good & fast service.
M. S.
It was ok. Nice Spanish family on the table next to us from Barcelona. Reasonable prices for a London bar. But my only complaint was they don't take £50 notes. Company policy apparently. Other than that it was ok.
r. d.
Great location. Right beside Tower Bridge, Sky Garden and the tube.
Short walk away from Borough Market.
R. B.
For somewhere so busy the food was quick and lovely. Staff were helpful even though they were swamped with people.
N. V.
Had steak 🥩 and a lovely pint 🍺
N. W.
Was fine, just like every other JDW
G. M.
Great breakfast! Can't go wrong with a weatherspoons, always cheap and cheerful! Thank you.
K. C.
This historic pub has a great atmosphere and is pretty close to tower hill station, so if you need to catch a train home your sorted with The Liberty Bounds. The meals are your common pub fare which are pretty delicious. On a budget look no further than the liberty bounds.
W.
Lovely food brilliant atmosphere.
R. C.
One of the best Spoons I’ve been. My experience of Wetherspoons is sticky carpets from the cheap spilt cider, poor quality beer and average food but honestly this one impressed me. Good prices for central London, friendly staff and everything looked well maintained.
N. S.
Very busy, service was slow and the table had not be cleaned but that being said it was 6 in the evening on a Saturday night.
T. B.
It's a perfectly good Wetherspoons. Prices are slightly higher than non-London Wetherspoons but it's still one of the cheapest options in the area. Lots of seating including an upstairs section, and good views of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and the Shard from the large windows. Service is quick and the staff are pleasant.
G.
friendly staff and clean and tidy pub
R. L.
Perfect pub close to the Tower. Good food. Good drinks. Awesome prices.
F.
Food was great. Upstairs Bartender was a rude dude didn't catch his name. No smile blank stare. Looking at me like I made a mistake but it was him. Manager is the same way. Tall fella doesn't smile. Cool place awesome food but those two were weirdos.food was also greatly priced! Go here but avoid the whoever the upstairs Bartender was on this date and time lol! Enjoy!!
D. S.
Great pub and good food at a good price
M. L. L.
Great Werherspoons pub in a tourist trap!
I work in St Katherine's Docks nearby so this is a great place to go where costs for drinks stay within budget. Never had any issues with the food and drink and as a Wetherspoons it is totally worth the money! Definitely worth it as someone not wanting to bust the bank in the Tower Hill area 😊
f.
Good food and drinks. You might book a arable, but we were able to get in on a Saturday night.
J. J.
Centre of London but got in quickly and the food came in average time, not overly busy but staff appeared very hurried, friendly though
R. C.
Waited absolutely forever to be served despite there not being that many people ahead of me although it was absolutely packed, had to skulk around for seats to be made available. Only around christmas time have i ever waited longer, despite there being 7 or 8 staff members behind the bar only one appeared to be serving the rest seemed to be moving glasses about restocking them and cleaning them. Ordered three meals and was kinda expecting an hour + wait but amazingly i waited less time for the food than in the queue, i guess most people were drinking so maybe not too much pressure on kitchen. 3 good meals at a decent price, more expensive than a rest of the country spoons but several times cheaper than Londons worst cafe.
F. W.
Very nice waiter/bar tender and the cleanest weatherspoons I have attended in a whole.

Great variety of beers. They offered me a beer from USA, what? I want a local beer, and, served like I was a local. "Okay mate, but, we don't like our beer that cold." OKAY .. me either! The food was pub food, not as good as some others, better than some others. I'll tell ya - London fare, restaurant or pub, not that great that I can find. But - pubs were my favorite. If in the Tower area - you'll like this one. Hop on the red bus and hop off here. Then walk to the Tower, tour it, walk back and have another beer and some munchies.

Good 👍 selection of all your favourite beers 🍻. Ample seating available during the day. Evenings are often popular if you wish to go there.

Great Location for beer and burgers. Love it!

I popped in here for a few drinks with a group of friends on a Thursday night. It was a bonus that this place was open until midnight, as most other pubs in the area close at 23:00.
The food menu looked very interesting and affordable, but unfortunately the kitchen was already closed when we got there, and no food could be purchased after 23:00, apart form the packets of crisps.
The pub itself was very spacious with plenty of dark-stained wooden tables. Traditional British pub decor with big TV Screens on walls for sport lovers.
This pub is children friendly - they even had a big basket near the bar full of colour-pencils and colouring sheets for kids... although some of the adults from our group found it fascinating and entertaining as well :)
Friendly service. Great location.

It's a Wetherspoon but don't let that put you off. The staff are very friendly, there is a wide range of good beer on, the food is not bad at all and best of all it stays open late. Plus you have a wonderful view of the Tower out of the window. What more could you want?

Fantastic place to go , food lovely and friendly service,

Good Food at sensible prices with view of Tower of London and Tower Bridge

Great Weatherspoon pub. Excellent range of ales, lagers and spirits and usual wide, good value food choice. Homely feel spread over a number of levels close to Tower of London.

Went with family after coming out of Tower of London. Was heaving but got a table for 5 of us within 5 minutes. Ordered by app thinking it would take some time to get to us but 5 meals arrived in 10 minutes. So efficient! We use Wetherspoons a bit as they are clear what is gluten free (I am Coeliac) and have never had a problem. Yes it was really noisy but no wonder. - the value is so good, and the quality is good too. Actually by the time we had finished it was getting less busy.

Excellent food and prices ...friendly staff

This is not your typical wetherspoons pub, it doesnt offer same discounts outside Central London like 2 for £5 on drinks for example, however still worth going to for a drink or meal. I went and had this ultimate burger and couple of drinks and was very good value for money even for me who sticks to budgets and spends little.
Great staircase on rightside as you walk up it felt like a library. Was disappointing not enough places with charge points as my friend desperately needed to charge her phone.
Service was above average, however the staff behind bar upstairs were rather rude and seemed to take ages to notice I had been standing there for a while.
Despite this I'd recommend and would go back hopefully in future

Stopped in for breakfast on a recent trip to London. Pub was clean, plenty of seating and a unique interior.
Usual wetherpoons affair but really thought the food was great. I have the breakfast wrap which was amazing, I don't usually go much on breakfast but this was great.
We went to Coppa Bar over the road the next and wish we had come here again instead!

Absolutly brilliant top notch place

It was Saturday night in London so as you can imagine, it was busy! We had tried the one inside Cannon street station but it was too small and not much character. However, this Wetherspoons is big with 2 floors and lots of nooks and crannies. We found a seat upstairs by a veranda overlooking below and it was perfect for people watching. We both have the App so ordered our Rose' wine and some food. How brilliant is the App!!! The food is always average in Wetherspoons but the prices and the general bubbly atmosphere outweighs this. People come here of all ages ....just having fun. And you get a view of Tower bridge for free!! And to think, 6 months ago, we hated Wetherspoons with a passion......not any more!

Nicely presented. But not very warm

Is a good pub with good food, staff are hit and miss, most are very good, odd one isn't so good.
M. J.
Nice pub, nice beer. Can see Tower Bridge from here.
M. L.
The actual food it not amazing. However, I enjoy going in for cheap beer. Occasionally, I'll come in to catch up on reading where I take advantage of the cheap, free refillable coffee or tea. I think the brownies are the best thing offered at Liberty Bounds. The brownie is nothing special, yet it's very satisfying and does the job. Casual atmosphere with free Wi-fi.

Extremely busy, but food arrived very efficiently after being ordered on their App.
E. K.
Quick, cheap and good meals. Quality of food is not the best however it tastes good and I like it. And if you order burger, steak or something else you get drink for free. That is very nice.
Great atmosphere.

Another great Spoons to tick of the list..
M. B.
Popped in for lunch - on the positive side is was very clean for a spoons, but food was not up to the usual standard, burger buns dry, items missing from one meal. Someone kicked off (at lunchtime?), but security were very quick to deal with it before it escalated into a full on brawl - would probably go back and give t a second chance if I was near
C. A.
Stopped here after the spooky tour of London, used the app to order food and drink which arrived quickly, friendly service
K. M.
Nice weatherspoons pub, busy but great views and staff were really lovely.
J.
Only had a quick brew here so couldn't comment on the food. Friendly staff and the order app helps when busy also ideal for the toilets if your court short when near the castle/tower.
j. W.
Lovely Witherspoon's in an excellent location

I have been to this pub 3 times and everytime it's usually packed with a mixture of tourists, locals and city workers. The food here is your standard weatherspoons grub alongside their extensive beer collection. Food comes out quick and staff seem okay. A nice place to eat if your in the City near tower hill and you don't want to spend to much
J. G.
Good breakfast!!! Great breakfast! Affordable also. Make sure you find a table that is empty, remember the number, then go to bar to order your food. You give them the table number and return to your seat. They bring the food and everything is great.
M. D.
Your regular spoons but a little more pricey. Didn't have the ales here so that may have saved a few pounds but a pint that back home is sub £3 is over £4 here. I imagine the food is the same as any. Nicer inside than some others and the location is pretty good so kind if justifies the price
B. L.
Had something to eat there last night usual wetherspoon staff were good food ok
s. e.
Excellent pub good food and drink, good service, clean, in a prime location in the City of London.
A. A.
Good pub with a lot of seating. Only downside was that tables weren't cleared often so around us was a build up of glasses and plates. Good atmosphere though !
D. C. (.
Wonderful pub that looks like it could be daily stop if I lived here. Two floors if the main floor is too nosey. There is cozy style booths on the second floor if you want to be intimate and have a chat and drink without an interruption. No real mixed drinks or simple mixed drinks but great tap selection.
J. L.
Really cheap place to eat! The food is good for the price. I ate a Double Classic Burger with extra Cheddar Cheese and Bacon and it was pretty decent... Not the greatest burger of course but for the price you can't ask much more.
J. L. W.
Great location, great price
J. K.
Bit strange regarding seating, was told there wasn't any available for a party of 6, however, once inside there were plenty of covers available
m.
Great food, great prices and a good variety on the menu. They serve decent fish n chips and British style pie here. Been here 3 times in one week. Not a paid review people, believe it :)
L. C.
Service was tremendous, lovely staff 👏
D. B.
Large Westerspoons pub in excellent location opposite the Tower of London. Also a good choice of beers at VERY good prices. Food is always very average as it's all reheated. However, this place is nicely laid out and the staff have always been helpful and friendly.
R. v.
This typical pub near the tower is an excellent place to grab an good English breakfast for a small price before exploring the tower. The toilets are clean but the tables can be sticky. A regular English breakfast with a hot beverage (no hot chocolate) is around £10 and is served until 1200h.
S. C.
A large bright pub close to the Tower, a large array of hanging flower baskets outside, inside a hand sanitising station and plenty of advice about distancing.
The bar area is large and there is plenty of seating, the Wetherspoon app is a great tool and easy to use, as usual pricing is good, a large and a standard breakfast plus 2 tea's for less than 13 pounds is good value for the area and will keep most people going for a while.
Another good London Wetherspoons

Opposite the tower of London. Be warned Can get incredibly busy at peak times.
A. g.
Really nice food cheap and cheerful good service staff very busy
j. g.
Very nice bar/restaurant. Excellent burgers and fries (chips). Very old style wood tables. Huge beer selection. Reasonable price and friendly service.
L. V.
The best weatherspoons I have visited. Food always good. Right next to The Tower of London. It can get very busy with especially at lunchtime and later in evenings. Good price drinks and food. 2 bars one upstairs and one downstairs. Great.
D. S.
Great curry's lot real ales clen .Great staff
C. N.
Usual Weatherspoons in an ideal location. Met expectations.
D. B.
Great food, amazing view of the London Tower.
C. F.
Great location in close proximity to tower of London and local landmarks. Not quite as swanky as most pubs in the area as with all wetherspoons does exactly what it says on the tin, cheap food and drink which is fantastic value for money and surprisingly tasteful
N. F.
The service was great but we ordered the most expensive dish of the menu and the steak was too hard!
P. T.
Overall nice place, however the pizzas we ordered were not cooked evenly. That being said, I would still recommend the place because of the nice atmosphere and cheap prices.
s. a.
Great pub, loads of very reasonable priced ales, excellent cheap priced but well cooked and presented meals. A must for anyone visiting the city. You cannot beat a cheap beer looking at the Towr of London and Tower bridge.
