Reviews of The Lyric
M. U. R.
I'm the kind of person who spends a lot of time figuring out where to go. When a friend invited me to London for birthday drinks in the evening, I couldn't turn it down. Coming in from Oxford meant taking the bus for a couple of hours, and I wanted to make the most of it, so a trip to the National Gallery was in order.
To complete my trip, I wanted good beer and good food for lunch, and I searched far and wide to find an appropriate location near the museum. Fortunately, a search of "craft beer" in the area led me to The Lyric and boy, was it a good thing.
This amazing pub has around twelve beers on tap and on cask (correct me, please). The beers were reasonably priced around £5 each, slightly less for cask ales. I had a yuzu pale ale while ordering the pork belly and the Korean friends chicken and, Lord, this food was an amazing treat!
An actual brick of pork belly showed up, on a thick bed of mashed potato, red cabbage, and gravy. Perfectly cooked, incredible flavours, and a wide range of beers to go with it. I'll definitely be back for more food from this amazing little pub.

In an area full of tourists it’s difficult to find a decent, traditional ‘boozer’. In my humble opinion this is by far the best in the area.
Pretty small inside so it does get busy, but the clientele is more ‘those in the know’ than passing trade. Really great selection of well-kept cask and keg beers, also knowledgeable staff to offer advice.
Z. G. L.
Welcome to The Lyric, a beautiful little Victorian pub in central London that offers more than expected. An excellent array of draught & bottled beer, fine wines & spirits, freshly prepared food & a very warm welcome.
Located a stone's throw from Piccadilly circus in London's vibrant Soho, The Lyric is a local's pub in the heart of the city. A proper pub with open fires, well kept beers, great food, cosy atmosphere & great conversation.
C. H.
What a great little pub right in the heart of the West End. Great barrel and keg selection. Warm and friendly staff. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Can't say what it's like of an evening as I have only visited during the day. Always seek it out if I'm in this part of London.
N. W.
Super, super, super pub. Cramped, but one of the best beer selections in central London (12+ cask, 20+ keg - all micro/craft) - probably nowhere like it for miles around. Downstairs bar is a delight, it has air conditioning in the summer and a fireplace in the winter. A true gem. Staff are edgy yet kind and polite. Haven’t ever eaten there, but the food looks really good. I hope this pub lasts another 100 years. It deserves to. xxx
P. C.
TeeJay and his team are superb and welcoming. We love the ambience and the carefully selected craft ales and kegs. The selection is top notch and the bar banter fantastic. The General Manager really knows his ale!
J. M.
What a funny little pub in the Hart of Lester Square. But the Sunday roast was delicious there was was 8 of us and we all enjoyed our food. The service was great. Thank you
p.
One of the better pubs in the area but wasn’t convinced by there food
P. M.
Cracking boozer. Wide selection of both Keg and craft on offer. All kept well. Decent bit of pub grub on offer too at reasonable prices. Will be returning soon.
T. G. L.
Very tasty Sunday roast, lots of beer selection, zero complain. Will come back again.
M. M.
Love this pub. Always have. So many Real Ale choices for such a small venue. Top notch friendly staff as always. Keep it up guys!
J. J.
Very English style pub, offering English menus and some good craft beers. Went with a group of 7 people, got seated upstairs. We booked albeit had to wait 10 minutes before the table was ready. The wait staff were friendly, attentive however. Food was good specially the crackling skin pork. We found the ribs to be a bit dry however. Go there for the English pub style feel and beers. Price and food is ok.
C. M.
Lovely place to drink with great selection of ales and ciders. £5.70 for a session pint of real ale seemed excessive even for Soho
A. P.
Calm and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very nice and helpful. The food was tasty and quick.
A. J.
Great backstreet pub with a huge range of real ales on draught and craft beers on tap. Slightly lower than average London prices and good atmosphere in the bar. Worth popping in to if you're on regent Street or going to theatre and want a decent pint
C. B.
Nice bar good friendly staff such a wide choice of beers and ciders.
C. L. O.
A very cosy pub, Covid-19 safe. You wait at your table and will asked your order and brought it back. When you enter, you must leave your details for track and trace.
Upstairs there is a small room with a real fireplace, nicely decorated for Christmas. The food was very good, classic burger and fries to perfection. Staff are also welcoming. Highly recommended
R. H.
Nice little pub. Lovely ales on tap and great customer service. Definitely drop back in on my next trip to London
S. Y.
Place was recommended by a friend. Got the pork belly with mash and red cabbage. Got it with Titanic beer (stout). Good, no great, food. Very friendly staff and bartender. Love the atmosphere of a real pub. Recommend.
F. T.
i like to go here and ask for flat cider, i was actually given a perry which was a nice surprise!
R. D.
I've not been here for years but it has improved vastly. Now a real ale pub with a good selection of tasty beers.
A. S.
Old world feel pub.loads of choice,up to 8 cask ales plus wide choice of draught beers.large screen tv.foodserved upstairs.word of warning watch the stairs down to the gents.
D. R.
Great selection of beers, and the roaring fireplace really adds to the atmosphere. If you're in the area, well worth a visit
T. A.
Very nice and friendly pub. We had a Wednesday special ribs which were a bit dry, but overall a nice place to dine a have a couple of pints of Guinness stout. Beautiful view from the window.
N. G.
Loads of beers.....do I need say anymore!? Was back in there last week (July 2019) & they now have even more! The most selection in a pub I've ever seen.....20 taps of various craft beers & at least 10 cask ales (probably more as I was only looking at the taps).
R. A.
Have been many times, excellent ale and craft ales and we managed to get a seat too!
T. E.
A gem of a place. Terrific vibe, banging tunes, friendly staff and superb selection of beers. Place was packed with enough trendy hipsters to make me look reasonably cool for once! Well worth a visit.
B. T.
My favourite pub in Piccadilly Circus.
F. L.
Proper London boozer which serves as a calm respite amongst the West End chaos. Better selection of beer than anywhere within a stone's throw (which is a compliment, as there are quite literally over a hundred pubs within a 10 minute walk). Nice staff, lovely atmosphere. Tip top pub, I say!
T. M.
Lovely little pub with great staff and a colourful history. Try and keep the nose down as the neighbours hate people having fun 👀🍻
C. A.
Super friendly service as always. Tasty Guinness and great ciders
J. S.
Decent cider selection, friendly staff and top tunes!
C. M.
Great food, amazing! Recommend the belly pork, decent pizza, steak, lamb shank. Busy downstairs pub. Great food, terrific pub near Chinatown. Well done, I'll be back here. Especially if I'm hungry!
S. G.
Fantastic real and craft keg pub in the middle of West End theatres. Wooden panelling, loads of choice of beer. Might have spirits n stuff, who cares?
N. A.
Tastiest beers. Great keg range for Soho. Ditch the prices and ponces at Brewdog and get down to The Lyric.
Beers always changing, but Kernel Pale seems to be a permanent fixture.
Decent selection of cask too.
J. G.
Great pub. Especially the manager Tom Great service. 100% would recommend to everyone i know. Very cool trendy place.
I. R.
Nice craft beer selection, good roast and nice burgers.
Good experience for a group of 4
S. M.
Great clean beer & great range .Quality food at good prices .A real gem find!nearest tube Picadilly Circus .
N.
Nice pub, decently priced beer and good atmosphere
M. K.
Classic pub in great lication. Great amount of beers to choose from. The staff is kinda unfriendly, the toilets kinda unfortunate and really crouded at after work hours.
A. E.
Nice pub, nice cosy small atmosphere. We had a really nice waiter with a sense of humour which is always good. No parking obviously, it's central London, and there is no accessibility to thw upstairs floor. Menu was nice, not your standard Dard pub grub but defintly so thing for everyone. I had the spicy ciracha pizza and it was great. Nice selection of drinks nothing that I saw out of the ordinary. Great vibe would totally go again.
N. B.
Nice small friendly west end pub , ideal pub to go to before a good London show 👍
J. R.
Lovely little pub. Great staff amd fantastic range of drinks
E. P.
Isat in this cafe off Turnpike Lane for a Turkish breakfast and it was well priced and tasty.
J. d. H.
A great Soho institution with great beers and good food. Being a victorian building, the space for toilets is very limited. There's just one for women and really awkward to get into. Suggestion : just put the lock on the outer door and get rid of the inner one. Otherwise love the lyric and long may it reign!
M. E.
If you like Sinatra and Elvis at a reasonable volume then this is the place for you.
T. S.
Great service, including talking to us through available beers and making recommendations based on our interests. At lunch, sandwiches are great value - can easily serve as a light lunch for 2 people if you add chips. I will completely reintroduce this pub!
R. G.
Really good selection of proper beers and ale
M. F.
We didn't have a reservation but we got a table in the pub area. The food was great and the beers were cold. There were lots of locals.
J.
Pre covid work place local. But even two years after i love coming back anytime I'm in the area.
B. G.
Great service and superb selection pity about the price
B. G.
Great beers and ales selection. Bonus 2 screens showing football. Very good service from staff and front door reception. Will visit again when in the area.
D. S.
A real and friendly old style pub. A great relief after all the trendy upmarket watering holes. Food was great to too.
M. S.
This is my favourite pub in London. Has been for over 10 years now. Proper beer, proper food, proper good fun!!!
D. C. E. U.
(Disclaimer - last visit 02/2020 due to the pandemic). Visited this great place on numerous occasions since the start of my undergraduate studies, and every visit has been really fun.
The food and fireplace are two major factors why we kept going back. Thank you guys!
L. H.
A little gem of a place, seemingly hidden behind all the plush hotels of Soho. Fantastic range of beers including some really unusual ones. Helpful, friendly staff, football on the TV - who could ask for more.
J. L.
Great beer and good fish. Worth a stop for sure!
M. G.
Always has a great selection of beers to choose from
P. M.
Superb ale pub in the centre of London. Always a great selection of cask and keg.
C. C.
The food is good and they seem to have a lot regular customers, that says something positive.
A. L.
We had our work Christmas party here and got a cozy room to ourselves! Even with last minute cancellations, the staff were extremely accommodating and always friendly. The prices are great, we were waiting to see what the catch was there never was one.
The wine was very decently priced as well, and a free glass of Proseco never hurt anyone.
Overall, we would definitely throw our Christmas party at the Lyric again!
T.
Rotating selection of craft beer on tap and really friendly staff, it's become one of my favourite pubs in London!
M. L.
Small pub in Soho. Food was nice and staff firenldy. The Lyric Burger is worth it.
A. P.
Fantastic pub with great range of craft beer. Good food too. Looking forward to going back
S. A.
Cozy friendly staff. Real pub welcome .
D. S.
Beautiful pub, good food and great selection of bear. Highly recommended.
T. A.
Great find while scrambling to find a pub show champions league on TV. Surprisingly many left after kick off while others came in to watch after 30min. Mixed crowd, 2 TV's, seating somewhat limited but the place does its best to maximise space. Plenty of good beers on tap.
P. P.
Great staff, drinks and atmosphere!
B.
Amazing pub with amazing food never disappoints. Good prices especially for the amount and quality of food you get in return.
M. P.
Nice traditional London Pub, with a good selection of ales.
T. A.
Great selection of modern craft beers that are regularly changed. Nice chilled atmos, the only potential downside is just that is not always big enough for how popular it is!
Staff also pretty knowledgeable and super friendly.
C. B.
Rare traditional pub in London West End serving large range of well kept ales and craft beer. Decent but small restaurant serving traditional pub food, recommended the pies, really tasty. Good place for a pre theatre fuel stop. Best to book table as can get crowded.
J. W.
Nice little pub in a really competitive area to eat; there's a small restaurant on the upper floor. Old-fashioned and compact, with a decent selection of dishes at a reasonable price.
The guy serving us was very attentive and passionate about the pub's food and beverages. Really professional, really courteous and couldn't have done anything more for us...which also appeared the same for the other diners. Thank you.
Definitely worth trying; surprisingly quiet despite being a stone's throw from the Lyric Theatre and only an hour or so from show time.
Only downside was the small and not very well maintained (when I was there at least) toilet and facilities.
z. z.
We were visiting London on 11/07/2018 just before England-Croatia football match and could not find the place to drink great beer and eat delicious food because almost all pubs were full of customers. Luckily, we found this cozy pub which did not have TV so it was very calm. We were too tired to watch the match and cheer the England. I recommend this place to anyone who likes great atmosphere and awesome food.
L. S.
Traditional pub in the heart of London, a genuine place to bring friends who may not have experienced London before without having to deal with over price tourist nonsense. Classic food, great beer, and knowledgeable passionate staff. It's abit tight on space here but it can't be helped much due too the location. Get yourself a pint of delicious cold spark and enjoy an authentic pub experience.
A. C.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of drinks and they describe and help you choose if you want something different. Bee sting cider was good 7.5% and cheap too at £4.30 considering where it's located. Proper pub. Proper prices
G. J. R.
Decent craft beer selection, though quite pricey.
E. C.
The best pub in the area. Always a great selection of real ales and ciders provided by friendly staff in a friendly and happy pub. If you're in Soho and enjoy a well kept ale from one of the smaller brewers head to the Lyric. One of my favourite pubs in London
L. B.
Great place! Well done for coming up with the milk carton beer takeaway! Hope you guys are keeping well during this lock down!
A. A.
Great little pub in the heart of London. I come regularly from Oxford just for their slow cooked pork belly which I cannot possibly state how good it is. Generous portions at a reasonable price. You cannot ask a lot more for a pub.
L. M.
Terrific food and wonderful staff who did their best to fix our couple of dinner mistakes. Would definitely come again. The scotch egg was great and I loved the cask bitter.
M. N.
Great little pub, one of my faves in London if Im honest with you. Lot of fond memories here including watching the league cup final 2018. Love the lyric! 5 star
J. B.
After being in London for my first time of all about an hour we walk left from our flat 100 steps and into The Lyric for a fantastic first time London pub experience. Great drinks, great food, fantastic friendly service. Order a Hendricks Summer solstice gin/tonic. Life changing! If you’re an American visitor it’s a must.
A. P.
Nice old school pub with plenty of good cask and keg craft beer options. Loses a star for price of beers, although this applies to all west end pubs. It's also very small so no good for large groups.
c. k.
One of my favourite london pubs, despite being busy they can't do more to make you feel comfortable.
E. Z.
Great food. The pork belly for instance is delicious! And with good lunch prices, it's perfect place to have a lunch along with a nice pint.
R. W.
Fine selection of craft beers and traditional ales, good prices for Soho and a small dining room upstairs which does a very good value lunch menu during the week. The pork belly and red cabbage is amazing value when they get it cooked just right and will fill you up for the day. And I'm 6ft 3.
J. D.
Vibrant, atmospheric old pub in the heart of the West End. Much better than some other places around this area as it had room to stand or sit in a group and chat. Good selection of beer. Didn't sample the food so cannot comment on that. Great please to meet up, as part of a pub crawl or just a quick drink.
J. M.
For a London pub the beer selection is good
T. C.
Tiny pub next to Picadilly Circus. Excellent beer selection always... Including Beavertown, The Kernel etc.
A. C.
Cool pub tucked away behind the craziness of Leicester Square.
F. P.
If the baby back ribs were good, I would give it 5 stars, but they were awful. Hard meat, no flavour, no bbq sauce at all. On the other hand, the beers were really good. Many cask and keg options and also cans/bottles. A good variety. The Sunday roast (lamb) was also really good
J. C.
Fantastic pub - proper not theme. One of the few remaining boozeries where you can have a drink alongside actors, Londoners proper and wide-eyed tourists. Best boozer in Soho.
P. T.
Popped in there on a Sunday, 2 great lads behind the bar, especially the Irish lad. Only popped in for a couple with my mate whilst the women were shopping. 6 pints later and a bit tipsy on the cider, we finally made our escape. Great friendly pub, never tried the food but there was a regular stream of customers going to the restaurant. Beware of the gents toilet, stairs are death trap if you have had a few too many.
J. E.
So many beers….delicious delicious beers
M. M.
Nice local pub. Great beer selection of over 30 taps/casks everything from small craft breweries to more mainstream. Can’t comment on the food
J. C.
Great little pub for people watching. Good selection of craft beers available but in line with central London prices. Great for a beer on summer's day but plan well as there is limited space.
r. b.
Really nice pub. Be warned that everything is craft, so if you're an afficionado it's brilliant but if you want a quick scoop of cooking lager you'll be bang out of luck. it's all fancy schmancy stuff with hops and suchlike.
S. E.
it's a bit pokey... thin and long... a lovely upstairs dining area but you can't sit there unless you're dining.... and if your dining the service is shaky. it's a great 'stop in for a pint or a bottle of wine' with mates on a weeknight if you get a seat.... but it's not exactly big old English pub comfort. Stand up in Soho!
P. W.
Great staff and service - really nice pub
D. F.
Proper pub grub in nice settings. The Chicken and bacon pie was very good. Halloumi burger was nice too. Limited selection of dessert. Prices are what you would expect to pay in Piccadilly. Quick services. I Would return.
J. H.
Fantastic experience. Great recommendations great food. Great beer list.
D. P.
Great range of ale's including one of my favourites - YuLu
C. C.
Really enjoyed a meal and drinks in this pub. The old features and fire made it really cosy upstairs in the dining room, food was really good and reasonably priced, staff welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely revisit if in area again.
A. H.
Delicious food and great beer selection in an intimate pub setting. The barkeeper working the day we went for lunch was a delight and provided great service. Would recommend for a quick lunch or bite to eat.
A. C.
A little gem of a pub. Nice atmosphere. Great beer.
M.
Lovely little pub excellent food beware no access to toilets if you are unable to use stairs, i popped over to the Ham Yard Hotel for a wee
J. W.
Always try to stop in here when visiting Soho and the West End. Snug and a little run down but there is no arguing the craft beer selection. It's the main draw here and If you are more of a conventional beer drinker there are better options. Pricey but you get what you pay for.
P. P.
Great Sunday Lunch. Went upstairs where the young men served us with drinks and took our order. Much quieter as downstairs was buzzing with a Football match. Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves
H. S.
This pub was the perfect end to our trip. The folks at the bar were spectacular, friendly, funny. Great beer, and they were terrific at recommending the next one. Definitely visit.
A. J.
Excellent access for me. I have trouble negotiating steps, so the dress circle were ideal for me. The show was fantastic. It was Thriller. The singing and dancing was superb. I would recommend anyone to go.
D. L.
Friendly place, not massive but have outside space. Doesn't catch the evening sun but you go here for the finest selection of beer in London and it's sensibly priced. Will always be a favourite of ours.
J. D.
Best pub in central London in my eyes. Relaxed atmosphere, quick service even when busy, knowledgeable staff and football. Very wide selection of tipples including a few nice single malts to accompany the ale.
D. S.
Could be a great pub but was let down by a poor bar man. My wife was choosing a beer, the barman gave a taste of two. What he didn't say was the one that she chose was 7.5% and £7. That annoyed her and we left which annoyed me!
M. B.
Almost always lively downstairs, with a great selection on tap, great staff, a nice outdoor space (no seating though) and the dining room upstairs is lottery for being busy or empty. Pretty good food, of the usual pub type
P. D.
Nice enough pub with a dining area upstairs. 90s alternative music and real candles. Good beer selection and taste ciders - about £5 / pint.
C. “. S.
Never a dull moment at this Pub, great local for work the past 4 years. Proper pub for drinking beer. No frills, no bullshit*t, quality beers and cider selection. Previous comment, that punter must of got lost enroute to the hamyard. The staff always run a tight ship.
A.
Great little pub. Lots of beers on tap and great atmosphere
P. P.
Nice little pub. Original bar with friendly tenders. Crisps, snacks AND Brooklyn Lager. TV for the matches as well. Overall nice drink selection. Free WiFi too!
S. T.
Love The Lyric! Great range of craft beers that are constantly rotating and they do good food too - try the pork belly from the lunch menu, you won't be disappointed :)
s. c.
Busy old fashioned bar, large selection of traditional ales
M. S.
Favourite proper London pub that's not been gentrified but has been upgraded with great service. Large guest beer selection and simple, properly cooked food.
E. s.
Cracking beer selection which is unexpected in Soho but you will pay for it (£7+ for some beers) and it is very popular so hard to get a table so worth booking ahead - especially at the moment!
m. f.
Great ye olde worldie ale house
T. J.
Nice little pub with a huge selection of beers, ales and ciders on tap. Wasn't too busy for a Friday either so could actually sit and have a chat over drinks.
I. K.
One of the best pubs in central London and in particular in Soho. It has an excellent variety of beers and ales and I'd definitely recommend it. Worth a visit if you go are about
J. D.
A concise but good menu, excellent prices for this area of London. Quick efficient service and easy to pay your own part of the bill. Bit cramped though, plus quite noisy. Can't complain too much though
C. T.
The Lyric is a small and cosy 'proper' pub with a great selection of lagers and ales. It sits somewhere between old man pub with a modern feel. It also serves 'Yorkshire pudding and beef' burgers in December. I love it.
S. R. (.
Great place, good beer choices and fantastic food.
M. K.
Nice small pub. One of the places to enjoy.
J. A.
Excellent Soho pub. Good selection of beers, although limited space if it’s too cold to stand outside. Good TV screen showing sports
J. D.
It's in theatreland, and thus the level of character it has is a pleasant change. The bar staff are efficient and friendly, and although it isn't a gastropub the food is above average and at about £9 for a main meal is an OK deal as it's about the same price as the appalling tourist trap food that proliferates around it. Reasonable.
T. B.
Many beers on tap and pump, regular changes on the lineup, loyalty card, cheap good food, an open fire and everything is very reasonably priced. By far my favourite pub in this part of town
A. H. D.
Always like popping in to this little unspoiled boozer when in the west end. Unspoiled by anything corporate with a very wide selection of beers. Usually busy but somehow I always manage to get a seat!
A. E.
Best pub in the area. Great beer selection, on both cask and keg, friendly service, good prices. Yes, it's busy, but it's Oxford Circus, it's inevitable.
A. Y.
Small lively pub in the heart of Soho with a good range of beers. Seating is mainly bar stools and can get quite noisey, friendly atmosphere and quick service at the bar
J. S.
Superb selection of beers, seem to be well kept and knowledgeable staff. Although service with a smile would get that extra star.
A. S.
Fantastic choices of beers, great decor and friendly staff happy to help you try before you buy. Expect London prices though.
N. H.
Cracking traditional pub with great ales (in Good Beer guide) with excellent food which is served at bookable tables. Small but handy upstairs dining room.
K. W.
Cracking selection of beer and cheap, but absolutely stunning, food. The pork belly of the lunch menu a particular fave. Go there. Go there NOW!
S. R.
Great range of proper craft beer in what is what you might call an "authentic" old pub.
If you like great beers, stop but this place.
F. G. (.
Great service. They served us dinner late hours, and for 10 people!!
W. C.
Best pub in the area for craft beer. Nice fireplace, friendly staff, and super central location. I'd definitely recommend it
N. T.
Amazing craft beer selection. Amazing people watching outside. Amazing food upstairs. One of my all-time favorites in Soho.
N. E.
Excellent, relaxed, establishment.
Reasonable prices, friendly service. All told a bit of a hidden gem, considering it location.
Certainly reccomend if in the area.
N. C.
Good selection of beers on hand pump and based on what I drank, well kept too. Small with limited seating, but a good place to grab proper beer in Soho
T. M.
Atmospheric little pub tucked away in the centre of town. Decent lunch options with a nice choice of drinks. Been back on more than one visit to London.
C. P.
Fantastic beer, but slightly dull modern interior. Not full of classic soho charm, but stuffed to the gunnels with great ales.
A. H.
Good selection of cask ale and cider on hand Pump, plus about ten craft beers from keg. I rare pub of this type in Central London
M. T.
Perfect spot pre-theatre with great weekly deals, but also just a pleasant place to enjoy a pint and a meal.
C. M.
my 'local' from my office and one of my favourite pubs in soho. Great ever-changing selection of beers and ciders, and fantastic food- the lunch menu is some of the best value food in the area.
I. M.
13 Cask and even more keg. Pay attention to the chalk board, you wouldnt want to make the wrong decision.
R. E.
Great beer selection. Get very crowded though. Good for a quick one with your mates not a night out
P. M. C.
Good selection of real beers and ciders. An original public house, tucked away from the main drag of tourists that's well worth a visit for a cheeky half or pint.
K. H.
Want beer? They've got it. Want a good time? They've got it. Great pub with a decent selection and old-school atmosphere. Good selection of British craft beers.
M. M.

Great pub. Great beer. Top staff. Real fire. Best in Soho
j. h.
The wife and I went in the Lyric for a pre show meal we dined in the upstairs dinning room on a Friday evening sharing the room with one other couple the service was first class the food excellent my only criticism was I'm not really a real ale fan and I tried two different ones which I didn't like we returned on the Sunday for Sunday lunch which was again excellent both of us having roast beef dinners which had very large portions of beef but sadly I was disappointed with the real ale again but that is down to my own personal taste I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a pre theatre meal and when back in London again we will certainly be going back to the Lyric pub.
Z. H.

Could be a great pub but was let down by a poor bar man. My wife was choosing a beer, the barman gave a taste of two. What he didn't say was the one that she chose was 7.5% and £7. That annoyed her and we left which annoyed me!
