This place is an absolute dream for vegans! I was almost overwhelmed by the menu, and frankly I'd order one of everything if I could possibly eat that much. Beyond the food, the prices are more than fair and the staff is super friendly. Lastly, it's a beautiful and cozy establishment. I have been to many nice pubs in my time, but this has to be my favourite.

I had a good time at this venue. The venue is quirky and unique. They offered £5 cocktails which were tasty! The staff were friendly and really made an effort to connect with you which is very uncommon in London! 1 star off for absence of £2/£3 beers which I can find at Wetherspoons.

Loved it here. We went in on a Friday night and the atmosphere was brilliant. The DJ was awesome, the bar staff looked like they were having fun and the whole vibe was fantastic. The drinks were decent too. We could've stayed here dancing until 6am... Unfortunately it closed at 3am. My fiancée told the DJ that we'd just got engaged and he gave us a shout out, then as we left he congratulated us and the whole bar applauded :-) Such a great bar, I definitely recommend checking it out.

my friend booked the a few tables to celebrate his birthday. we all have a nice time and the staff were very friendly. I also liked the white wine selection (3 white from new world (New Zealand Chile and Australia) to order by glass), the red was not very appealing to me.

Bar staff friendly and welcoming. Bar service was efficient. Beer selection just normal. Not many customers and those that were there were tourists. It’s a good location near to the British Museum without being too close. A few of the other pubs were busier but also louder. The crown was quieter and had a early noughties playlist going on. Wasn’t busy so bar staff mostly sat and chatted until someone needed something. Probably more lively / busy later on. Overall a fine place to pop in after the museum.

A great place if you want a quick bite to eat. It's not a massive pub, but the service is very efficient and the meal I ordered was faultless. I went for the classic fish and chips and it didn't disappoint one bit. I'd recommend this place to others!

Second time this week. Love the place. Great service from a really welcoming crew behind the bar. They obviously look after the beers and the food was good. Looking forward to their new menu which I will put to the test when I am back in London in a a few weeks time. Great atmosphere in which to meet up with friends.

Super fun vibe, always filled with young people and generally good prices for drinks. Selection isn’t huge for beer but their wine menu is size-able. At night they have a DJ to lighten the mood and everyone I’ve taken here has had a great time!

Really enjoyed my experience here! The staff were amazingly friendly, and the food was equally great. In fact I would go as far as saying my Pulled Pork burger was the best I'd eaten! My partner in crime also loved his Hell Hound Posh Dog! The sides were great and the beer was the perfect temperature for this hot weather.

This is such a great pub! It's not particularly big but somehow every time I've been I find somewhere to sit or at least to be comfortable. There is great space to use privately upstairs and I have recently had a film screening in the upstairs gallery room. The decor is interesting, cool, but comfortable making you feel at home. The bar staff will make any cocktail you want and are always up for a chitty-chat - awesome place.

Popped in for a random drink after work, ended up staying until 2am! Cheap drinks, nice bar snacks, great music when the DJ starts. Staff are fantastic. Gets a bit student-ey after midnight, but still loads of fun.

Went to Old Crown last Friday 11th March with my wife. We had a fantastic time there. Even though it was a busy Friday but we were served very quickly. I ordered my favorite OC burger and my wife ordered 'Bull Dog'. Ordered for a couple of glasses of wine too. The food was fabulous. Can't expect more than that. All the staffs members were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We really had a great time and I would recommend this to everyone. We would come again.

Small pub with what seemed like friendly team. Went when it was quite, can imagine it being a bit much when busy as it has a lack of seating and with where the bar is it would get crammed. I think there was an upstair though. Not the cleanest toilet but definately seen worse.

It's an okay pub regarding drink selection and the fact that it has tv, function rooms and food. However we explicitly asked not being near the tv when making the reservation and got the table below the tv. Also the pies were mediocre at best.

Decent enough venue, particularly great in summer when the sides open up on to the street. The food is very meat-heavy though, and they serve a falafel burger instead of a veggie burger (falafel is a different type of meal to a burger so doesn't work so well in context) and very little other choice, so only three stars from me. The sides are all absolutely smothered in batter and generally over seasoned. Bit pricey too.

On the way to the Shaftesbury theatre, the Old Crown is 50 m away, on the same block towards the BM. Called in for a burger and a pint, good food, and good selection of beers. Will call in again!

This is the first time I came into this pub and I absulatly loved it, if any one is in central London near Tottenham Court Road I would advise you to come and visit it. We had great staff behind the bar Catherine and Tani are very attentive, lovely and friendly. This is two thumbs up for sure..!!!!

This is not an old crown... it is a public house. We watched the Eurovision song contest here and it was a brilliant atmosphere. Bunch of europeans sat in a bar having a good laugh at each other's countries expense... utter brilliance! I think the beer and wine were good at the time... they were not good the morning after...

Delicious scotch eggs, good burger although be careful ordering medium rare burgers as they take the French approach to it being very pink - which is not a bad thing, just need to be aware. Selection of 3 ales, Young's Gold was good for a Youngs ale, and also served in a glass with handle.

Far better drinks and food than you'd expect from the generic exterior; I've eaten off both the tapas menu and the mains (blackened chicken burger, if you must know) and neither disappointed. Staff can be too cocky for their own good but it's a good secret spot for drinks in the centre as there are usually tables. Word of warning; one ladies loo is a double - for those who do never stop chatting!

This is the old crown. It may be worn by the old king, if Charles ever gets the throne. But when William becomes the people's king he will need a new crown for his young but balding head. I'm not sure what will happen to the old crown. Perhaps it will be stored away until an old king requires it. Whatever happens, I hope it won't be the last we hear from the Old Crown Public House.

I had a lot of fun here but it's pretty dangerous on the stairs, the food isn't great and it is expensive. 3 stars for great staff though, cleanliness and vegetarianism. Free karaoke comes close to adding an extra star but my voice just went so it ain't getting it. I will definitely come back but I have to be honest.
