Fantastic pub and great service! The drinks were lovely (241 Cocktails Happy hour is from 5-7pm) and the burgers were great - the 'Elvis Burger' was very good & something different.
The set up of the venue itself is nice and funky - it certainly fits the vibe of the area! The staff were all super friendly, lovely and definitely know how to create a great atmosphere.
Additionally, the table service was super quick and efficient - this always seemed to coincide with us finishing each round of drinks; the staff couldn't have timed this any better and I applaud their attentive & quick service!!
I highly recommend a visit!!

OMG. I am so glad I found this place. WOW. Just wow. Reasons why I love it include the food was delicious. There were two Independent pop ups to choose from- a burger place end a Caribbean place. I ordered the halloumi burger and the patty was a a battered tasty halloumi, it really resembled the size of a burger patty. I also had Parmesan and truffle fries and they were bursting with flavour and were delicious and crispy. The pub in general is very cute, we sat outside on the benches by the river and also enjoyed chilling on the swing chair. I like the up-cycled vibe. Although the pub has got a very similar vibe to canal-side bars and cafes in Hackney Wick, the Old Joinery is more quiet, understated and low-key. I love it!!! Will definitely be back!!

Thought we'd give this place a try, So glad we did, Found all the staff friendly and helpful, Live music on downstairs, but stayed outside by the river, place has an excellent atmosphere, Burgers were superb, Decent local beers too, Definitely will return.

Nice pub located jus before entering Greenwich. Cool outdoor seating area and big covered ware house. I went for a sofar event and the atmosphere was great. They have table services and pool tables.

A rough and ready bar on Deptford creek. Fabulous views in the garden, excellent venue for live events. Friendly atmosphere and staff. This will be my new 'local'

Been a couple of times and always had a great evening. Service can be rather slow even though you can order via an app, as the evening progresses you are required to move inside due to license agreements but that makes it all the more fun as inside is a good sized space to take you into to the early hours. When I went there was a DJ playing a rather mixed bag of music and few people dancing but you could have a chat if needed. I love the food shack and the ambiance just makes me feel comfortable.

First visit and very enjoyable. The terrace next to the creek has charm of its own on a sunny day and the food was excellent and a good price. Short but well chosen selection of drinks plus excellent music complete the visit. Staff are helpful and efficient. This could become my new local!

Lovely place. The staff were amazing. Just know that you order your food at the counter, as we waited for someone to help us but then we could have ordered ourself. The one kitchen was closed but that must be due to some covid thing. Good place.
C. B.
Very nice location. Interesting place which offers live music is a relatively large area. Not all cocktails were prepared properly. Some tasted nice (Negroni for instance). Some were not properly prepared and didn't taste good (Margarita and Long-Island)

Amazing riverside watering hole! Great space inside and out! Great selection of cocktails and fine burgers. Live music and fun, friendly staff. Cheers

What a fantastic venue! Outdoor seating area has heaters, great music selection, cocktails are awesome, service with a smile, fresh Villages beer on tap and inside their is a massive area that hosts gigs on the weekend. Can't wait to have a Sunday session here!

What a find!! Amazing venue with lovely outside areas, one covered and a cool inside big room for performances! Very quirky and cool! Most drinks are local, the food is delicious - 2 pop up stalls with salivating burgers and lots of options for vegetarians and a heavenly jerk chicken 🤤 the best thing about this place though is the staff!! Friendly, professional with great personalities that made us have an awesome time! 🤗🥰
T. D.
Awesome beers and burgers on the waterfront. Great addition to Deptford’s already burgeoning nightlife!
B.
Very nice place to enjoy a beer and some good food during, especially at the end of the summer.
Service was nice and frequent for beers.
We took double cheese burgers and instead of fries we took some nice tacos.
Burgers are good, tacos are excellent with a drizzle of lime.
Overall, a great place to drink or dine out with friends. Don't forget to book as it is extremely popular and rightly so.
P. R.
Great new local independent food and drink venue. Lovely setting next to the creek and good selection of drinks and food. People working there are super friendly. If you live in Greenwich it's a must do!
G. W.
A fantastic place to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. The Creekside tables are the best. Good options are from two independent pop ups - burgers or Jamaican jerk. Can vouch for the jerk chicken - gorgeous.

A great vibe. Friendly staff, nice beer. Errol Linton was terrific. It was a little dear at £20 a head, but Errol gave his money's worth.

Great beer garden, good music, burger shack. It's got everything good. The indoors is a hotbox though. I'd only sit indoors in winter for the cumulative body heat but otherwise, I highly recommend going here.
J. O.
Hands down the best place in South East London for music, drinks, food and vibes! The loveliest, friendliest staff bringing you the best craft pints and coolest cocktails. There's either a killer live band playing, or a DJ spinning the best grooves. An absolute must visit in Greenwich!
C. M. C.
Good services, delicious food and relaxing area to chill out. Well done.
L. K.
Very good to have this place open. Cool location. Who doesn't like a bit of cement works with their lunch? Some light beers available, some cocktails and three street-food stalls. Burgers excellent, tacos meh. Could really use a draft ale/bitter rather than fizzy cold things. Staff helpful and dealing well with COVID but were just a little slow (given how many there were). And plastic glasses? Weird. Could use some sun shades to avoid the melanoma, and maybe a fourth food stall? Hope it's a success.
J. D.
Excellent out-of-the-way unique bar with Cheeky Burger on site. Decent prices, friendly staff. I just hope the tourists don't discover it, and the locals can keep it to ourselves :)
C. W.
Hard to find but worth it when you do. A little gem tucked away behind Greenwich DLR. Great views out over the Creek and a fun place to have a drink or two. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Been here twice in a week now.
Very nice location, loved all the staff, they were friendly patient and professional.
the pizza, veggie burger and meaty burger were smashing and I thought a good price.
The beer was great all ranging from local breweries which is a nice touch. However a traditional, session beer would have been nice if I'm being picky. Cocktails were great too. The barman actually came to the table to ask how the cocktail was.
Definitely a breath of fresh air from the usual tourist rubbish in Greenwich.
M.
Excellent place for a drink and some food. Delicious burgers and pizzas. They have live music on most weekends and a great selection of beer, ales and cocktails. It’s right on the water in Greenwich, one of the last places of its kind in South London. A true gem.

Food is great and the atmosphere is relaxing in a little oasis on the creek. Only bookings are taken at the moment as Covid restrictions are in place. Food is ordered from each pop individually and apparently changes every 4-6 weeks. Absolutely recommend the food - freshly prepared on site. Would love to return and try out the new food pop ups.
With the seating outside, heaters and a canopy have been erected to allow more comfort on colder and sunnier days. Plants and bark floors give it an almost tropical feel in the concrete jungle.
Dog, kid and adult friendly. Groups accommodated.
Table service is offered for the bar but unfortunately the service is quite slow and we had to wait ages to get served/ receive our first drinks. Think the servers might require a bit more training on the etiquette as we had to call the server 3 times before getting attention again and then didn't get the full order either.
With a bit of tweaking and overseeing of the 'serving floor' this could be an amazing little place.
D. W.
Cannot rate this place enough! The music is always phenomenal, and they have the atmospherics down to a tee. Cocktails are too yummy!
A. B.
Great place for a drink on the creek, good vegan options for food as well
L. K.
Really enjoyed this beer garden as well as the Jamaican food on offer (they also have a burger shack). There are sunny or shady seating options which is nice to have, but the most positive thing about the place is how friendly and helpful all the people are who work there - it makes all the difference to how your visit goes, so thanks, and keep up the good work!
E. P.
This is the best venue I've been to in a long time! The outdoor space is incredible with creek views and plenty of tables. Live music every weekend in two different rooms means that there's something for everyone. Not to be forgotten are those Cheeky Burgers, a taste sensation! As soon as lockdown finishes and we're able to go out again, this will be first on my list.
B. C.
Fantastic venue and great music - good drinks wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend

This is a really nice place to have drinks and excellent burgers on the banks of Deptford Creek. Not expensive for London, it has both indoor and outdoor seating areas, cool but unobtrusive music and a good vibe. Well worth a visit.
C. H.
I was impressed by our first visit. The drink selection was really good with cocktails and local beer. Good pizza and burgers were also being served. There is also regular music events which is nice.
L. D.
Love this place!
I came here with a group for my birthday and had an amazing time, really cool venue, the staff were really friendly and efficient, the food was delicious! Then there was a brilliant DJ later in the evening, didnt want to leave! cant wait to come back again soon!

So happy to find this place, excellent vibe and burgers 🤤

A real mixed bag. The Warehouse is wonderfully atmospheric and a great space for live music. Drinks are also fairly priced.
Sadly the erratic service during the Euros has put many of us off returning (nearly half hour for each round to arrive over separate visits, took an age to settle the bill etc).
To be fair to the owners they did offer a prime spot for the final by way of an apology. Shame we were not told about the surcharge so unable to confer within the hour allotted to book. All very frustrating.
A.
Good hangout, cool staff. Could do with better lighting outside when dark. Nice old fashioned cocktail.
A. H.
Amazing venue with great drinks choices. Regular live music
R. B.
Great new bar in deptford/greenwich. Good outdoor garden and tasty burgers.

Great vibe, eclectic decor, perfect waterside location with fab service. Delicious cocktails and wine list are fantastic. The food choices were incredible too- mexican and burgers when we last went. Dreaming of going back!

Food and drinks great. Although me and my friends wasn't happy with the customer service. I've booked our table in advance for 4ppl. There wasn't any option if we wanted to eat or drink. When our waiter escort us to our table which was a barrel he asked if we want to eat this will be too small for us we have agreed. He said unfortunately he can't get us bigger table. My friend asked another waiter if there is any chance to change our table as there was plenty tables free next to the creekside and even closer to us was a free table. He suggested to ask the front desk. I've asked the front desk if there is any bigger table for us as we would like to eat and we saw there are so many tables are free. She said unfortunately they are fully booked. I've asked if if we are planing to come next time where can I ask to have bigger table because as I remembered there wasn't any option for that and she said it's a first come first basis system and there is no option for that. Which I didn't understand in that case why are they offering tables in the back to people who just has arrived. We've asked another waiter who was really kind and explained that there will be a birthday party which is make sense and we obviously didn't argue with that. Finally someone kindly apologised. We had our foods one buy one as on the barrel couldn't fit more food. As we stayed there a big table become free and we've asked kindly again if we can sit there and unfortunately we got the no answer again and people who has just arrived set down to the table. I really wanted to love this place and everything else was nice but we didn't feel from the staff that they've tried to make us feel comfortable.

Today was our first ever visit to The Old Joinery. The place is something of a hidden gem on the creekside, with a rustic/ urban feel. (The photos on the web don’t do the place justice).
Great selection of burgers (I highly recommend the Hot & Spicy burger) and the Buffalo Wings were incredible. Catering for gluten free requirements was no problem whatsoever.
The local beers and ciders (including my favourite - Hawkes cider) were a nice touch.
Staff were all friendly and attentive with table service provided. Food was served quickly and we never felt like our glasses would be left empty.
We’ll definitely be back for further visits, especially as this place is right on our doorstep.

Great addition to the area. Great vibes, great local beer, friendly staff. Food options were excellent as well. Looking forward to spending many a warm summer evening here.

Really nice place and good vibe. They really nail it with their lighting which creates a pleasant atmosphere and ambience. The outside area is particularly nice whilst the indoor areas are fun and quirky. Also friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Finally they recycle the plastic glasses (they said) which tops off my recommendation.

A great outdoor vibe and setting with plenty of space, table service and wonderful live music when I was there on a Sunday evening. Good beer and cocktail selection, great staff and the street food (delivered to your table) is superb. Oysters recommended! Pre-booking is easy and worth it.
R. T.
Brilliant bar I must say, was there visiting family and was taken to watch a blues player here and loved the look of the bar, drinks was brilliant and not over priced for London at all. Highly recommend going here

We have just enjoyed drinks and burgers with our 4 children. The team were friendly and efficient. Space and atmosphere is great for families. We arrived at 5 left at 6.30pm. Highly recommended. Thank you, we will be back!

Truly unique venue which worked perfectly for our event. We feel so lucky to have come across the old joinery! It really is such a beautiful space which can be moulded to whatever you want it be. Thanks so much to the guys that made our time so enjoyable and flow so smoothly, really couldn’t have hoped for more! We will definitely be back.

Had a pleasant evening here. Service was slow at the beginning, but got better. Drinks were good. Food was ok.ish. Would I go back, probably not, there are plenty of other places around Greenwich to explore.
T. B. W.
Would like to thank The old joinery for an amazing venue and a very professional service! Was a great space and location for my last birthday party! Had space for live music and everything, I had a great night and so did my friends and family. Thinking of returning for my engagement party next month!!

Absolutely fantastic place
Great food, great music, great cocktails
Staff are super friendly and professional
I reckon this is the best bar in Greenwich, if not the best in all of London
K. S.
Nice and cosy place. Too bad that in the 2.5 hours we were there, we were only able to order two drinks, and that with a lot of effort. People were also clearly doing coke in the bathroom.
J. K.
Amazing wedding venue which I'd highly recommend. Being a first time bride, the team were extremely helpful from the outset and on the day of our wedding too. It's a great space and we had the flexibility to make it unique to us. Thanks for all your help!
C. A.
A proper street venue. Rough seating, not uncomfortable and burgers and beer. A very festival type feel. Burger ingredients were very fresh so all in all a good experience.
A. L.
Great new spot just on the outskirts of Greenwich. Tucked away nicely and right by the water, a great little space. Fairly new so looking forward to seeing what it's like when they get a bit more into the swing of things!

Amazing ambience right next to the river, feels like a festival outside and so much space inside too. Great food also. Highly recommend.

Brilliant old skool venue for music, drinks, food, indoor and outdoor space, brilliant friendly staff. Views over deptford creek

I was fortunate enough to stumble across this event space, worked perfectly for the shoot and photographed excellently. Huge thanks to the team for offering a helping hand, you made what would have been a stressful job a delight.
Look forward to working with you all again, hopefully in the not so distant future.
Highly recommended.

We had our wedding here, Tom went above and beyond to make sure that all our needs were met. This space is unique and gave us allot of creative freedom.

Incredible location, venue and really easy organisation.
I was looking for somewhere to host a surprise 30th party and I had been to The Old Joinery for a gig before. That is where I met Tom, the owner. He and his team couldn't do enough to help me organise the 30th and even let me bring in a friend's jerk chicken stand to cater for the party. A few of my friends have put on events there since. Being so close to Greenwich station was key as many of the guests were coming from all over. The creek was perfect during sunset, and there is plenty of space inside when it got colder.
S. H.
Amazing atmosphere, brilliant staff and wicked vibes going back again and again and again!!!😉

It is a great space with fantastic acoustics for live music. The indoor venue is quite cold and with only table service it can take a while to get a drink.
