I took a couple of people for lunch today, and we had a great time. Prices (apart from for beer which was a bit high) were on par with other local pubs, but the quality of food was much higher. Lovely service, excellent bouillabaisse (although when I used to live in Marseille it always came with boiled potatoes cooked in the stock which help break up the richness, maybe that’s not done now) and very good desserts too. My friends loved their beef cheek pies, and we went on happy. Nice restoration, the strap line is ‘club like’ - now, I’m a member of a few clubs and really this is ‘pub like’, but I guess it’s marketing, and whatever, it’s not been turned into ten tiny flats, so call it what you want haha

Came here today to watch the England game and had an absolutely great experience. The staff were great and very fast service even during a very busy time. The atmosphere I cannot fault and was great to watch the game. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area if you want to watch football. The restaurant is beautiful inside with great interior decoration and nice bathrooms. The prices for pints I would say are on the expensive side for London but this is the area and this is not a chain pub so it is to be expected. Highly recommend if you are in the area, they appear to do weddings too which is great! Outdoor area looked super nice as well even in the rain. What a lovely venue for our wedding reception! We had to reschedule once, and keep on top of ever-changing guidelines due to the pandemic, and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout. They accommodated special requests and made sure the Brydon Room was set up for us beautifully. Last but not least - the food was absolutely delicious, despite their menu changing on short notice due to supplier issues upon reopening in early 2021.

The Phene hosted our office Christmas party in one of their private rooms. Sam, the Events Manager was efficient at co-ordinating our requests, and Samantha and Kevin took really great care of us all evening. The food was tasty and the room decorated tastefully. Warm, cosy Sunday Lunch experience with a very welcoming and friendly staff. This is a classic English pub / restaurant hybrid, with a relaxed charm, family and dog friendly. We all chose to go for a main Sunday Roast and dessert. The vegans in our party were particularly impressed by the individual nut roasts served in puff pastry parcels. Two of us chose the venison, and if you too are a carnivore, this would be my recommendation. The really good news is that the vegetables (a key ingredient in all roast dinners) are tip top, as were the extras; Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets. No visible vegan puddings on the menu, we asked, and were served very delicious apple crumbles. Thank you for a lovely lunch 🙏👌

The floor staff are bit "everywhere" which is undertstandable due to it being both a "high end" restaurant with a large beer garden. Overall given the environment, great food, drinks and service, would reccomend! X

Welcoming, unique pub serving delicious, imaginative food for all dietary requirements. We sat in the garden and had the pleasure in watching a small wedding taking place, which, was uplifting to see as we return to a little normality. Despite how busy the pub was the service was exceptional, Sam, our table host was very attentive and helpful. Unbeknown to us there was a misunderstanding with our bill which could not have been handled more generously and efficiently by the General Manager. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Chelsea.

It was a real surprise to eat here and be offered a full on vegan menu which was fabulous. We sat in the garden which was surrounded by flowers and low lighting and we enjoyed a delicious rosé accompanied by greet food. The staff were absolutely charming.

We really enjoyed this place. We had one of the private rooms upstairs for a wedding and everything about it was great. The room itself is full of character, the staff were very accommodating when it came to setting up, food was excellent and the service we received was fantastic. No one was without a drink. Got in The Phene for a quick Sunday brunch. I was positively surprised by the place - it's is open , casual , friendly and chilled. The place was pretty booked with reservations, but they still managed to get me seated. I really enjoyed my brunch (Bavette Steak, Poached Eggs and Potatoe hash browns). The only downside was the waiting time - I got my steak after 40mins... Otherwise I totally enjoyed my brunch and would definitely come again ! The place has an outside garden so it is a must to go place in the summer time.

Managed to bag a last minute table here yesterday evening for an hour and had a lovely experience. The staff were rushed off of their feet but made sure everyone was looked after. We didn't eat so I can't feedback on the food, but the drinks menu was good and they allowed our little dog to join us. Lovely little find, will definitely come back.

Cute Little Pub! This pub is super cute, each room is decorated in a different style, which was a nice touch. Usually food in pubs are hit and miss, but the food here was lovely. Garden section outside was beautiful and well decorated. Would 100% recommend!!

When we arrived we were shown to a table in the restaurant section that was right next to a crowded table which wasn't 1 metre apart. The table we eventually sat at was opposite a disabled toilet that wasn't clearly marked where many customers were using it. The quality of food and drink was fine.

The food prices are very reasonable considering it's a posh pub in a posh area, but we were disappointed with our Sunday roast. The flavours were outstanding and the plate was piled high but the parsnips and broccoli were almost raw. It was not possible to cut through the parsnip. Some potatoes had such thick cooked skin that they couldn't be cut either.

I celebrated my 21st birthday with ha sit down dinner in the Oakley room. The whole evening was wonderful! The room was lovely- I especially like the tea-light wall. Hidden away in the backstreets of Chelsea this is a gem of a pub. One of the very few in the area that has a garden and a very nice one. Interesting menu and the food that we ordered was excellent. It got very full at lunchtime so if you want a table inside or outside get there early. Prices seemed very reasonable, especially for this area of London.However NO Guinness or even London Pride!

Phene is an upmarket pub with 2 private rooms for hire in the heart of Chelsea. First of all it is not a very convenient place to get to with the 2 stations in its proximity being a brisk 15 minute walk away. The nearest public transport being the riverboat services at cadogan approx 0.2miles away. They have a good selection of beers and ales on tap and the same can be said of the wines. The upper private room is a cosy place enough for 9-10 guests. However the interiors could seriously do with a makeover. The set menus are pricey, smallish but of above average quality and how they taste may also depend on promptness of service. Our starters and mains were delivered quickly but we experienced quite a wait for our desserts and the cheque. Another couple of areas where there is ample of scope for improvement are noise / floor restroom management.

Perfect for an after work drink on a nice day out. The outdoor terrace is spacious and in a calm part of town. If the terrace is full, the indoor seating options are also pleasant, with multiple rooms to choose from. Nice garden if you can find a seat. The service isn't bad at all, but the place does lack real atmosphere. I recall going there and someone being very excited because a famous model's sister was there, and whenever you mention this place pretty much everyone will tell you 'George Best used to drink there'. While pleasant enough, there's nothing giving this place a real personality. You just sort of feel like you're drinking in a run-of-the-mill bar. If it ever was something special, that's long gone, but it's pleasant enough to have a drink in. Food smells good too.

Venue (garden) is brilliant - one of the best outdoors spaces at a pub like this in the Chelsea area. Service was not particularly good - we had a new waiter (forgiven), but the garden service was severely understaffed nonetheless. The nibbles came sporadically, and it took forever to get our first round of drinks (three pints and one bottle of champagne). Even these came in two parts! Nibbles were average at best. Go for the venue, but don't expect great service or food.

The staff are excellent. The environment is a very nice. Even though the neighbourhood is very expensive The Phene charges fair prices for exceptional food. We were looking for a pub in Chelsea to take some friends from the US. Finding The Phene was a stroke of luck. I would say you can't go wrong

However, if you are wanting to have a very very very long lunch you are in luck as it is very very very slow service- I requested my food at least three times and it was always "3 minutes away" and wouldn't turn up for another half an hour. Great for drinks or come on a weekday if you want to eat because the service is just too slow on a weekend.

We were disappointed. Went for Sunday lunch with a booking at 2.30 (earliest we could get). Two of the roast options were no longer available, and I didn't feel there was that much choice on the rest of the menu. Although our waiter was friendly and I wouldn't want to complain about him, the service was slow for receiving olives/bread/drinks when ordered. And the food was incredibly slow, although there was some warning that the mains would take half an hour once we'd actually ordered. Smoked salmon/crab/crayfish and celeriac remoulade starter lacked seasoning and didn't even have any lemon on the plate. Roast potatoes were school dinner standard. Generally the food was very over-priced for what we received. Also, I don't even want to mention the state of the loos - vile! I'd eaten there before and didn't recall it being bad. Perhaps best just to go here for drinks.

I have to say I wasn't looking forward to dining here after reading the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The interior was nice, waiters seemed friendly enough and the food was really good! Also they had a lot of pugs in there randomly so if you like pugs... then you're in for a treat. Would give 5 stars but I'm picky and there could have been a few minor improvements

Excellent facilities - an utterly beautiful terrace garden and dining areas. events team and bar staff have been most accommodating, and the food and drink selection (including a variety of cocktails) are superb. I've had wonderful evenings there with girlfriends and my partner, and I am planning a large reception there as I know we will be looked after well. It's in the heart of Chelsea so slightly pricey - but so is everywhere else.

I am not used to rate 5 stars but this place deserve a proper 4 stars. It’s quite chill, they do have a big garden that must look quite nice for sunny days, waiters were kind and their menu is really convenient for every type of food (vegan, veggies, gluten free). I don’t give 5 stars because even though my crème brûlée was good it wasn’t big enough to pay £7 for it ... Keep going, I think you can become one of the best places in the area.

I had a wonderful experience booking the Oakley room for my 30th birthday party. Dani was very helpful communicating with me about the party. On the day all the staff were incredibly helpful - in particular Wellington was amazing. He made sure that we had everything that we needed, checked that everything was ok and made the experience very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend booking the room for an event

We held our civil wedding celebration here and they were very accommodating with our requests. Foodwise, I would say above average, although for the cod dish, there were some complaints, however the fact you get to choose your entrees (four to choose from including apps and desserts) on a website prior was very good! There was a small misunderstanding for the pre-drinks at the bar, to which we understood we would be at the bar area and not a confined space in the conservatory, as there were almost 40 of us. All in all, servers were patient, which is always nice, and food was not sloppy. I would suggest clearing all doubts up before booking for a large party so there are no surprises.

The booking process itself was very professional and easy, and Dani and Fran on the day were exceptional - the food was great and service impeccable. I normally pick a new venue every year for this fixture, but the Phene could well see a repeat performance.

We hosted my husband's birthday party here last weekend, and the Phene was a hit! As an American, I would call it a posh pub. There were around 16 of us and we had two long tables in the lively bar area. Very casual and easy for some to eat dinner while others just came for drinks. I recommend the sharing platters which were a hit. The staff was also super helpful with the surprise cake I brought and overall it was a great experience. My husband was very happy with my choice and we'll be back soon for a romantic dinner or drinks in the beer garden.

What a night! On Saturday evening I celebrated my 30th Birthday and engagement (which happened that morning) in the Oakley room with close family and friends. I couldn't have asked for a better evening. The room was set up ready for our arrival with drinks pre-poured so nobody was left waiting. The room itself is very well presented and really felt like you were hosting a party at home. Wellington our waiter for the evening was a pleasure to deal with and kept everything running so smoothly. The food and drink were perfect & everyone was raving about the canapés which there was a great selection to choose from beforehand. The plants in the garden are dying and terribly maintained. There are so many flies and bugs and bad smells because of the rotting plants.

We had a few drinks -- it's a bit of an odd London pub, only in that the interior is more mirrors and shiny rather than the traditional woody feel. With that said, we were there during December; my hunch is it'd earn an extra star during nicer weather as they have a fantastic patio with lots of exterior seating. Food: My girlfriend and I both ordered the burger. She added the pulled pork and I added the bacon to our burgers. Clearly we know how to eat! Unfortunately being from the states we expected our pulled pork and bacon to taste differently and were both disappointed. The burger itself is yummy as is. Drinks: We ordered two beers with dinner. Price: For two people we paid 45.28 GBP. Ambiance: The outdoor patio is great when the weather is nice. Definitely get there early since it's first come first serve. The space inside is very welcoming and cozy. Service: Everyone from the bartender, hostess and server were all very friendly. Would I go back? Definitely! It's a great spot in Chelsea.
