Reviews of The Queens

Great atmosphere. Great staff. Good range of beer/ale. Not sure I saw any food but I'd already eaten at a fabulous restaurant across the road. Luv this pub. Highly recommended. I'd go out of my may to attend this particular establishment. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

What a place what a location, as you face the pub the park is on your left and the main shopping area and other restaurants are on the right, this place in the summer is so lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by, the inside is modern but homely and the staff are amazing. The manager Is friendly and knowledgable and makes you feel welcome. They have wide range of drinks of course and they have teal Coca Cola and not generic Cola sold in a glass bottle. Today I popped in and had the best visit ever.
The chef was taste tasting some new dishes and I just happened to pop in at the right time. Honestly they were delicious, I missed out on the superfood salad because the manager stuffed it down so quickly I didn’t get a chance to photograph or taste it so I can’t give a review about that “sorry” it looked amazing though.
The dishes were Comfit Duck leg with dauphinois potatoes, orange braised chicory with red wine sauce “my mouth is watering now damn” it was delicious.
The next dish was oven roasted Hake “fish” with roasted seasonal veg, served with lemon butter sauce, honestly this was to die for. Try and visit on one of the few last days of summer.

Great outdoor setting, lovely staff and fantastic cocktails; the espresso martini's were great. The charcuterie board was unfortunately lacklustre; the quality of the meat wasn't great and on the bland side. Further, the cheese wasn't really flavoursome nor at the quantity you would expect for the dish. This obviously makes the overall price point for this dish not worth it.
In saying that, it was a great experience at The Queen's otherwise and I would definitely return!
M. S.
The most wonderful Sunday roast I’d had in a while! All the staff were pleasant and Regina was beyond helpful - she went the extra mile and was very attentive to our table of 6! We’ll definitely be back again 🥳
N. D.
Nice place for a date. Very chill and cozy atmosphere most of the time. A+ location next to Primerose Hill and a lot of people bring their dogs around which is cute
R.
Solid Young’s pub, the beef roast was actually delicious, as was the sticky toffee pudding. Had a great Sunday dinner here with family. The only issue I would say is the toilets were pretty disgusting and it ruined it slightly as we were with older and pregnant family members.

Amazing location, beautiful interior full of proper old London charm! Nice cosy and welcoming pub to have a drink and catch up with friends.
Food was a little hit and miss, great roast potatoes! Good crunch on the croquettes, but flavour a little bland and some items on the Christmas menu had completely changed, ordered lemon posset, some gross highly concentrated vanilla whipped cream came out... Dont know if they ran out of covers and just had to improvise? Who knows. It was a good night anyways but bit disappointed in the meal. Service was nice and staff friendly and helpful 👍🏼
L. V.
Food was great and interesting and Guinness perfectly poured, however service was hard to understand and even we reserved a table, we got to sit by the door that was constantly opened.
D. T.
A very pleasant pint in this Young's pub, on Regent's Park road. All very relaxed and pleasant. Staff lovely and helpful. Good variety of beer on offer. A good place to drink!
F. D. S.
I was just there for Sunday Roast as recommended by a friend yesterday and OHHH MYYYYY GOODNESSS!!!! The atmosphere and vibe is just what you want for a Sunday Funday. Ask for Jared for customer service he will take extremely good care of you! The Queens: you have my heart forever 💖
A. L.
Hi,
amazing pub,
We come for two beef roast.
Unfortunately they run out of potatoes so they give us mash potatoes.
All was very nice.
Busy place but staff very friendly.
Definitely we will be back
Thank you
M. M.
Fantastic location. Really cool drinks menu (gin varieties are great).
Food was pretty good. We had the Sunday roast with Yorkshire Pud and it was huge.
J. F.
Lovely local pub with great burgers
O. F.
A fantastic pub, with a lovely upstairs area and small balcony for when the sun is shining. Food was great; we had the fish and chips, the duck and the hake and they were all delicious.
A. A.
Nice little pub - very busy. Decent beer.
Well worth a visit - the food looked good.
S. D.
Very well kept beer and delicious food. Also love the flowers
S. B.
Lovely little pub right next to Primrose Hill. Small outside area with chairs & tables, minimal heating & cover however. The staff were friendly & service was generally good.
C. “. C.
Lovely pub, we booked the terrace for dinner and the view of Primrose Hill was beautiful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the place cosy and very well decorated. We had dinner with burgers, sweet potatoes fries and pea&mint soup; the food was prepared with love and the portions are huge :) the staff is ready to help and very professional. Highly recommended
T. C.
One of the best roasts I’ve had in London. Generous portions and the staff are lovely - we will be back.
A. S. T.

nice pub eh, lovely atmosphere, banging tunes 😎😎😎.. fixed my pint up all nice, had a problem but they made it all sweet, very nice service would give more stars if i could !!!! make sure to ask for Theo he knows his craft beer like the back of his hand exceptional knowledge
A. B.
Decided to have Sunday dinner here while visiting Primrose Hill. It was delicious.
H.
Great pub! The little terrace overlooking the park is lovely. Most importantly they are super dog friendly and provided water and treats for the dog straight away on arrival! They would get top scores for this alone but the rest was wonderful as well!
D. L.
Great location, atmosphere and service! It was my first time and all staff were kind🤗Food was good as well. I am happy to find a good place near my home. I promise I will visit often! Thank you.
A. S.
I got served by a wonderful young gentleman by the name of Theo - clearly knows his stuff and is happy to share his extensive craft beer knowledge. 10/10 for customer service. Happy days
A. S.
Had a great time at the pub - thanks to Luca for the exceptional service on Sunday !
R. K.
Stopped in after visiting Primrose Hill. Great location and really cozy atmosphere. Food was top notch, as well.
J. C.
Great gastro pub with friendly service next to primrose hill park.
A. M.
Great food for vegetarians and coffee. Sticky toffee pudding was awesome!
M. D.
Nice place, good beers and delicious food. Italian waitress was very kind.
D. R.
Good pub next to The park with plenty of outside seating to watch the world go by.
J. B.
Great drinks and nice staff! Thank you guys
A. G.
Pea and mint soup firs class. Thank you for swapping bread for a portion of roasted veg! Delish!
A. H.
Brilliant pub with great food. Great staff a service with trains, tube a busses nearby. Jared was particularly helpful.
M. E.
Nice atmosphere, the terrace is beautiful and overlooking Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park Road. Good wine list.
A. J.
Really wonderful to have a vegetarian option that was so delicious! Portobello Wellington ftw.
L. K.
Tired of running in the park and need to booze off or want to grab a bite? This is a really nice cozy pub and - to my surprise - probably has the best brunch menu in the area (not available on Sundays though). In particular, the steak one was excellent! Nice little balcony on the top perfect for a sunny day!
S. P.
A nicely decorated pub with a tiny balcony, which is nice to spend some time on, if you get the chance. Friendly staff, decent food and drink options as well
D. L.
Great atmosphere, nice food and drinks. A little on the pricier side but probably what you'd expect in the area. Friendly and helpful staff
D. H.
Great ambience. Awesome selection of hand pulled ales. It was exactly the kind of place we were looking for.
A. P.
Very nice pub just next to Primrose Hill. Good selection of wines. We didn't have lunch, just some truffle and parmesan fries, which were great. Some outdoor seating on the pavement too.
G. B.
I love this pub. Such a gorgeous location and a great food and drink selection, typical of a Young's Pub. Can't wait to go back soon x
J. S.
Had a really great time, food was great, pleasant setting and staff were very attentive and friendly. Only downside (preventing 5 stars) was we (group of 12) would have liked to have stayed longer. We were willing to continue drinking but we had to give our table up after 2 hours and there was no more space in the pub so we left and spent the rest of the afternoon in another pub close by.
S. B.
Extremely well kept cask ale. Friendly service and excellent food. Recommended.
D. O. B.
Great Sunday Roast. Nice customer service but very slow.
N.
We visited for Sunday lunch, ordering one roast beef and one vegetarian meal. Both dishes were well-presented, generous, and extremely tasty.
Our waiter, Charles, was charming and friendly which just added to our positive experience in this pub.
Whilst not the cheapest main courses around for Sunday lunch, I would still recommend The Queens if you are looking for a slightly upmarket meal, where there is also a wide variety of wines by the glass as well as beers and ales on tap.
L. P.
Took my Aunt and two of her old friends from
New York here at the weekend and everyone loved it. Staff were incredible, great atmosphere and properly tasty pub grub.
Also- go here with a hangover and ask the barperson what you need and they will tell you. For me it was a deep fried gherkin. Who knew?
K. B.
Good place, if you're nearby you should visit it.
N. B.
Lovely pub and great food. The staff or the owner (?) was very friendly, they welcomed us and offered different places to sit. I had a cold and didn’t want to sit next to a window and they accommodate that no problem. The food was quick to arrive even tho it was busy. A bit more expensive than other pubs in the area but overall a great Sunday roast out. We’ll come back.
S.
Wonderful experience. Visited on a rainy Wednesday evening and the food and staff were fantastic. Also the ladies working were ensuring social distancing between customers which was great to see. Will definitely return.
a. r.
The place is lovely, had such a great time with the family. The staff were super friendly and the roast we had was so tasty! The was also a magician, which we didn't expect at all, but absolutely loved the surprise!! Would definitely go back and hope to see him again (we are still figuring out the coin trick he did). 10/10!
M. A.
Great ambience and food. Enjoyed the interior staff are very friendly and accommodating
H. T.
We had a lovely Christmas lunch at the Queen's. The food was delicious and super large portions - we definitely didn't leave hungry!
The best part of the day however was the staff - Stephania and Sara were just amazing. Super accommodating and helpful, and just lovely. They helped with organising the day and it all went seamlessly. Will definitely be back!
K. P.
Only popped in to use the loo. The beer I wanted was off. Had another. Not a bad pit stop though.
A. B.
Had lunch at the queen's pub. It's a nice atmosphere in a great location, right by the corner of Primrose Hill. The place was quite understaff when we got there that day. The fish and chips was massive, though I have tasted better ones. Overall a nice place to hang out.
T. G.
5 of us had Christmas Lunch here. The food was superb - cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and served by friendly lovely staff. Compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff. Thank you Fraser and the crew for a smashing Christmas Day . Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year - Trisha and Francis
T. B.
Great location in Primrose Hill nice pub good standard Youngs food and drinks and excellent friendly staff
L. C.
Queens has two classes of customers - those who want to "dine" and those that want to drink. If you want to enjoy a quieter meal, head up to the dining room upstairs - perfect place for Sunday roast or when the in-laws are in town. You get views of Primrose Hill Park if you sit on the balcony and over Regents Park Road high street. Food isn't cheap, but they do good size portions. You won't feel cheated.
For those that like to drink, this is a locals pub, or locals on their way somewhere else - Primrose Hill Park (across the street) or beyond. Strong selection of craft and import beers on tap and in the bottle. If you're a wine-o like me good selection of wines from around the world by glass or bottle. Great pub snacks - don't miss the sausage rolls!
Dog friendly pub too - don't leave Fido at home. He'll it enjoy it as much as you do!
H. S.
Nice looking pub, good service, lovely fire. A little pricey but about right for the sweet location.
They also had a magician in visiting tables, which was pretty random and unexpected but he was genuinely incredible, so fair play.
Would certainly revisit when next in the area.
D. F.
Me and 3 of my friends went there in a very cold January evening after a tough workout and training in Primrose Hill. We had a couple of drink and a little food too. Its a very nice place, warm, welcoming, relaxed. The staff is friendly, the drinks are nice and the food was delicious. Will definitely come back later.
S. P.
Wonderful Sunday roast. Friendly service nice atmosphere. We go here
Every week😃
H. M.
Great place for an after-work drink, brilliant if you don't want to sit inside at the moment, apart from only having a few tables covered so if it rains there isn't much space to stay dry
A. K.
Decent cask ale and rather slow service
W. W.
We had mulled wine only. Lovely pub in winter - they have an open fire, mulled wine, the pub is nicely done up like somebody's open plan kitchen/diner. Dog friendly. Very relaxing.
B. A.
So lovely place. Sunday roast is amazing!
S. D.
A definite visit if you are in primrose hill area. Nice good pub. Never tried the food myself but looked nice. Definitely going to try some food next time. Note-they have really good sitting area upstairs. Do check it out.
I. H.
Drinks here before an event at the nearby London Zoo. Nice little pub though not cheap but I guess no more expensive then anywhere else round here. Food looked popular though we didn't eat here. Would come back.
T. E.
What a fantastic pub thanks so much for having us. We came for a team Christmas lunch and I was really impressed with the quality of food considering the number of people. Thank you and well done.
P. C.
Sorry, can't review as we didn't actually stop off here. It looks nice, and the far reaching view down across London from the heights of Primrose Hill are worth the visit. Many, many years ago we saw the then, down at heel actor, Denholm Elliot trying to learn his lines leaning against the huge mantlepiece over the cheery open fire. Maybe it was for the movie version of Rising Damp. Refined and elegant, with plenty of characters, well worth a visit.
M. V.
At anytime of the year. This corner public house will be at least half full.
Food I'd amazing in here.
S. G.
Pimlico mainstay with pependable lunch choices and a relaxed atmosphere.
B. D.
Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere! All the comforts and homeliness of a local with the modern professionalism and class of a gastropub. Great service and delicious food.
C. D.
Primrose Hill......one of my favourite parts of London. The Queens is a friendly & convenient pub for me to visit either for a Beer or glass if Vino......& a fairly varied menu.
L. Z.
Best Sunday roast I have ever eaten in London. Eat here on a sunny day and then head to the close Primrose Hill for a spectacular afternoon.
T. M.
A Lovely local pub. Staff are attentive and friendly. The food smelled really good although we didn't have nay when we visited.
B. M.
Proper pub immediately across from the Park. Mix of visitors but a lot of locals, especially on Arsenal game nights. Nice beer selection, not the cheapest pint by a mile but always good quality and some tasty meat snacks as well. Fun fact, Karl Marx's benefactor Engels lived across the street and they used to carouse here.
L. K.
Sunday roasts expensive for what you get, no chicken breasts on the plate , only leg! Avoid for £15!
Service was good though with limited beer selection! Seems to be new owner ?
J. H.
Holy heck this was fantastic. I will definitely be back here soon. This place just radiates good vibes. They also nailed corona prevention practises. Good job Queens!
N. B.
Lush roast!!!! Cosy environment too. Loved it
M. W.
Thank you once again for your warm welcome and delicious food. Nanny Winser and Ben's mum.

Great pub to visit before and after a QPR match! Friendly staff, good priced drinks and great football atmosphere which is frequented weekly by local fans! C'mon you Rs!
E. P.
Good location and lovely staff 👍
L. F.
Can't comment on the food as I only stopped off for a drink, it had a nice relaxed atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. There's also a tap of free water flavoured with fruit so no need to ask for water either which is a nice touch
L. P.
I like this place. Its right next to Primrose Hill and has decent food with an okayish choice of drinks. That being said, nothing special.
N. J.

Nice fire on a cold wet day, dog and family friendly. Free treats for the dog just ask, and such great food with friendly staff, and such a range of beer.
K. H.
Had a nice drink here. The staff was really nice and tried their best during Covid measures.
R. P.
Great selection of single malt whisky but you have to try the local beer from Camden Town Brewery: Camden Hells. Pub downstairs and kitchen upstairs with an open view towards the Primrose Hill.
B. H.

Very Primrosian. Has a bar. Warning, many prams and yappy dogs in the area. Celebrity's in big dark glasses and baseball caps may or may not walk past.

It's a functioning pub, but the interior is a bit modern for my tastes.
J. K.
Dog friendly, perfect location. Great food and drink - highly recommended

Not sure what Young's think they can get away with, but it's pretty pricey for a pub, even at the gastro end.

The salad was seven pounds on top

(Translated) Very nice place on two floors, last pub before the hill.
Good choice of beers but the food leaves something to be desired.
Well presented but low quality: frozen potatoes, supermarket sauces, bad quality pickles.
Too bad because the service is courteous and present.
(Original)
