Reviews of The Queensbury
V. R.
Only good things to say about this place, the location is great, easy access from the train station, just turn left and across the street you will see the pub. Great vibe, spent like 3 hours having some beers and some food, its really nice to deal with their staff, prices vary but decent for what you get. I higly recommend this place.
Inside there is plenty of space and restrooms are big(and very clean). If i want to go back? Yes for sure.
Paid for a pint of Cheftain £5.1, a great portion of chips with sauces served at the table is £4.
Huge terrace, chill inside just in case it gets super hot outside, only advantages.
Weekend they have plenty of events and this is definitely something that i will join.
Hope this heps guys!
Z. R.
Decent pub, service was a bit on the slow side but everyone was very friendly and the food was great
N. V.
Tuesday Taco Night. Nice pub with real fire place. Cosy and rustic. Perfect pub for the winter with 3 outdoor gas patio heaters. Can enjoy a nice cold pint outside without feeling cold!
A. S. I.
My local pub in Willesden Green! Lovely place - highly recommend. The Sunday roast is also great, but the Yorkshire pudding was burnt. Happy to return.
A. M. S.
So delicious. Had a fine selection of meals and all had been fantastic. The sunday jazz music added to a perfect evening. Hope to return during our last holidays for another time. Thanks to the lovely staff.
E. G.
Is the wonderful place to stay and enjoy your drink and the staff is very good and polite especial the manager she name's" Cristina "
J. L.
Massive outdoor space at the front and back. The garden has been done really well with coverings, heat lamps and nice lighting.
The staff here were all really friendly, all seemed upbeat and were really good at coming over to the table at the right time for drinks orders.
They were going a great job with social distancing and following covid rules.
Prices were all reasonable for drinks.
Cocktails were a bit sub par but it's fair enough for a pub.
The biggest letdown was the food, it was atrocious, probably the worst burger I have ever had in a pub and for the price I would expect something of better quality.
I would come back again for a drink because I think it's a great spot, great staff and they have done it out really well outside. Will eat beforehand next time though.
m. r.
Came here with friends for a few drinks in the evening. Great location, but quite pricy drinks. The outdoors had a pretty good atmosphere, and good scene, though not a great range of drinks. Would be great to have more ciders for options.
L. N.
Staff were nice and helpful.
I paid £18 for the roast beef. Two medium sized potatoes and a small handful of veg slices. Beef was cold.
Pint of ale was nice: £4:40.
Mulled wine was very nice: £6
Total £28 +then service charge & tip.
Place was pretty freezing and we were seated about a meter from other dinners. (Despite there being loads of empty seats and several heaters that were off.)
Staff were very friendly and helpful though!
I. D. L.
This place have good service and is safe of COVId 19, is pretty too, but price of food and the menu is just good. You can not find to many options on the menu. But it is goog in general.
A. T.
Great atmosphere, as ever and the fire was roaring. We had a couple of pints but plenty of people were having dinner. The place was buzzing!

Wonderful local pub with great beer selection! The interior is so pretty, and the outside area is covered and heated, which makes for great evenings outdoors. Looking forward to visiting again.
M. Z. P.
Nice staff and beautiful place! The beer and food are good.
P. “. L.
The experience at The Queensbury was great as usual! Food and service! Particularly Romana, I think her name was (sorry if to that's incorrect) and one other of the other waitresses, blew my mind with her ability to take on order for six people without a note pad, food and beverage, impressive! We look forward to eating there again! Big match or not! 😉
T. S.
Glad to see The Queensbury back open - they've done good work with the rear garden area and the front patio. No issues with the drinks, but the food is not up to standard - £14 burger which was ok, but only just, and £14 for two sausages with mash. Plus no kids' menu and we had to divide the sausages and mash up at the table, the kitchen wouldn't do it! A bit of thought about families with kids on weekend lunchtimes and this place could do very well out of that, I'd have thought.
A. C.
Very cosy and pleasant staff ! Nice local pub.really recommend it. 🙏
D. G.
Average, toilets quite tired.
Arrived mid afternoon on a Tuesday to find we were one of 3 tables, which made us question why we waited 10 min for our drinks after placing our order. We ordered sausage & mash, and chicken wings + sweet potato fries off a menu with limited options (6 mains). Sausage and mash was ok, chicken wings were good, and the sweet potato fries were very good.
Toilets, both mens + womens were a little tired, some taps didn't work, toilets seats were wonky, and a few chunks taken out of the wall between cubicle.
M. C.
Only dropped in for a quick beer but it was an excellent IPA
P. W.
Food was great, staff very helpful and polite
W. H.
It's a pub. Food is good and the quantity is nice. Good selection of drinks. The place itself is a good size with above average looks. Outside sitting area is good, has umbrellas over some tables. Very close to the station which is a plus. However, the bar staff is really hit or miss. We had 2 order screw ups out of 4 orders, and some staff are extremely slow (took over 5 min to get 2 beers and two gin and tonics, after we ordered). The price is pretty steep as well for what it is. Honestly the are better places with lower prices.
K. O.
Great outdoor set up, sheltered from the rain and with heaters & blankets to stay warm. Good selection of beers. Lovely staff.
s. p.
Good pub...the staff were great.
G. C.
This is a ver cozy pub, with a tasteful decoration and a burning fireplace, which makes it even better. The menu while not vast has something for everyone and in the photo you can see the Chef's pie and the burger. The staff are super nice and helpful and the only thing that we haven't tried were the deserts.
P. B.
Nice drinks, quick service.
Don't bother with the skinny bouncer at the front, stinks of BO and can't hear him with his mask on
J. H.
Picture says it all . This was when I was in Coldplay filming the music video for Yellow.
P. S.
Very expensive food is vastly over priced starters
Ordered a rib eye steak £18
When it arrived the steak was so small and thin u could cleary see it was not a ribeye steak complained to waitress she went and come back with a photo from the chef of a ribeye steak in packaging
I said well that maybe a rib eye but that's not on my plate
Did not get a reduction on the bill dissapointed and annoyed
A. M.
Staff tend to change like everywhere in London but they are always nice. Its a busy Pub so you may not always find a place where to sit and for dinner you should book to avoid surprises.
Location is great, just a couple minutes from the station.
Food is generally from local resources and fresh. Typical bar food as handmade burguers, fish and chips, etc. Besides they have great menus on special days and much more.
K. R.
The food here is very tasty and above average pub food. There are plenty of interesting things on the menu to try. The atmosphere is relaxed and usually not a problem to find a table. Feel like the choice of drinks has improved over the last year but perhaps not the place to go to discover new quirky craft beers
T. V.
Really friendly staff, good atmosphere, great burgers, the back garden is really lovely too. Well done guys 💯
o. b.
Great drinks, nice atmosphere!
S. S.
I loved the place - it has garden and a front open space as well. Clean and spacious. Creme brulé was great!
M. G. B.
Nice place to start with a brunch and back at the night for a drink.
I had sweet potato and halloumi burguer. It was really good.
J. G.
Lovely pub, good selection of beers wines and sprite and always friendly staff. Not been for food but menu looks good but maybe expensive for the area. Only bad points are the TVs ruin the lovely atmosphere a little, and big curtains by the door can make it look shut from the station! Otherwise favourite pub in the area. Hope it stays open.
D. L.
Lot's of outdoor space and really well thought out...followed all covid guidelines. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed myself and will book again.
C. G.
I love the atmosphere at The Queensbury. Intimate, cozy and chill, all at once. The food is ok, the wine and beers menu is better. To me, the star here is the house and atmosphere. Great place to be at, with friends.
H. N.
A good option for drinks in the area and great location wise being near to the tube. They do some ok beers although you might struggle if you're after a craft / IPA version. The wine seems a bit pricey - just over £10 for a large - but perhaps this is becoming normal for London. Have eaten here once mid week and food was quickly served and good. Staff are responsive and friendly.
B. W.
I really like the roast here, it's a good sized portion, the meat is always good, plenty of vegetables and a large Yorkshire to accompany. It's a relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. Keep up the good work
T. R.
This place is expensive. There is no getting around it but despite this it's still a nice place to drink if you can afford it. The decor is nice and the couches are comfy. The staff we met were friendly and happy to have a joke with us which is always nice. I've never eaten here except the odd bowl of chips but the food other people have had has always looked good. It's a good local pub and you should definitely give it a try. They do take card but I believe there was a £10 minimum.
M. F.
I have been only once. It was empty when we sat down for lunch but it was still almost an hour for the mains to arrive - too long really, luckily I was in good company. The food was ok, but not better than that. The heating was broken; the management had brought in some heaters, but they were woefully insufficient so we froze. A nice atmosphere though if the heating works.
M. S.
The best pub in Willesden Green by a long shot.
Beautiful old but gold architecture.
A real Gem.
There's needs to be a campaign in place to make sure it doesn't close 🙏
J. S.
Visited here with friends, was quite nice, friendly staff, prompt service. Heating outdoors,, overall really pleasant place to visit. Will return soon.
W. B.
Nice pub, which I understand is under threat. Minimum £10 spend on card. Hard to find a table even when reasonably empty due to seating plan. Good quiz on Wednesdays which starts at 8pm and is done by 9:30ish, which is unusual. Prize is a round of drinks so there's no advantage to having a small team.
S. M.
The food here is decent. Book ahead. Decent wine, cocktails aren't that great. Location is that convenient, there's outdoor seating and it's nicely styled. I always wish the service was better.
D. J.
Best pub in Willesden Green (although there is not a lot of competition).
Wooden floors and "lived in furniture". Open fire in winter.
Usually serving a variety of cask ales although on my last visit they were all off. My default choice of larger was also off. Bit disappointing but this was the first time it had happened to me and it was around the busy Christmas period.
There is a restaurant at the back serving a good varied menu.
The pub was pretty busy on my visit and the restaurant was full.
Clientele is mixed and "professionals".
Worth a visit if you are in the area.
O. M.
Lamb curry wasn't bad (irishism warning). I felt it was on the small side, the lamb was tender though and the curry had a nice taste. They gave us complimentary drinks when the food was late.
S. S.
Loads of effort has gone in to protecting the clientele. Outside seating available with table service, blankets and heaters available on request. Staff very attentive without without encroaching. Thanks Queensbury 👍
E. s.
Nice warm pub with a great pale ale on from London fields brewery. Not that expensive either. Haven't eaten there yet but the menu looks good and we will come back to try it
p.
Nice pub with goose ipa on draft.
C. P.
Nice pub, friendly staff, decent price
M. B.
Always our place to go, having a drink outside in their backyard is ideal for the summer. Staff is always welcoming and full on, love the atmosphere. their chip is perfectly roasted.
B. A.
A nice place to visit for a drink in the summer when all the smokers are sat outside because you at least have a chance of getting to the bar, but in the colder months it's full of load mouthed groups. Food is very good and reasonably priced it has a menu that changes reasonably regularly but always tastes good.
K. M.
Good enough pub, but also a bit uncool. I ordered sticky toffee pudding and they gave me a totally different dessert. They never acknowledged they were out of stock and well the replacement pud was not up to par.
Y.
Nice vibe, live music, the food average at best. We had fish and chips, spicy bean burger and Sunday roast chicken. Premium prices for average food. Beer selection ok.
I would probably come back but not for food.
Z. V.
Great service on a busy night. Our whole office descended with no warning but there was still room for all eight of us and everyone found a drink we liked. Mine was an Old-fashioned, which was perfect for me.
L. D.
There's a certain crowd that visits this place, and I'm not a huge fan of it. There is great potential, and I want this pub to succeed, but I think it needs to work a little more on ambience, it's liquor selection and glassware (my preference is for more Haggerston vibes and less Holborn Weatherspoons.) The pub quiz is satisfactory but could be a lot better, though it does draw quite a crowd. Some okay menu choices, but I think they should strip it back a bit and make their pub fare more rustic. I guess it's worth a visit if you're in the area and are desperate for a pint? Not my first choice.
L. G.
Very big outside patio, the staff were very efficient and friendly
C. L.
Food good but very very limited service sooooo bad 40 minutes just to have the menu service charge on bar drinks staff lovely and very apologetic been there twice never again shame !!!
D. S.
Beautiful gem of a pub almost opposite Willesden Green Tube, but its a local secret, because its the only pub I know without a sign. The ony sign is for the Conservative Club, but don't let that put you off😝 It has a small assuming entrance which then broadens out into a wide bar with a defined dining area. This old Victorian pub was probably a hotel in the days that Steam Engines possibly driven by my grandfather stopped at Willesden Green before the new fangled electrification days.
Anyway the staff are superbly professional and if you ask for the Irish Pale Ale you'll get the beer served in a proper glass with a handle! This pub is a must if you're into quaint old pubs with good food and great service!
A.
Lovely atmosphere, good price, good service, but the quality of the food let me down a bit. The side vegetables were lovely but the pie of the day, a lamb and mint pie, was tasteless and I didn't expect to find minced lamb inside it. Note for the future: ask details about the dish. Overall happy.
K. D.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff and friendly fellow drinkers. Nice area to sit out in with heaters. Fun quiz on Wednesdays. Restaurant at back. One of the best pubs in Willesden (there aren't many left).
L. A.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing Sunday roast today at Queensbury in Willesden Green. Very friendly staff, great food and warm atmosphere.
A very big thank you to Rodo ( Rodrigo) in the kitchen for the tasty home made ice cream.Thank you for choosing us to taste the ice creams. The spicy one was mouth watering.
I highly recommend.
M. R.
Nice and warm place with real fireplace.
I've been there second time to have a dinner. Food is good with decent price, however stuff was not friendly at all this time. Not sure if I will come back again.
W.
We came here for a work meeting. It is a really nice, tasty, reasonably priced food, great atmosphere and friendly staff.
No rush and lots of time to chat.
A. R.
Great pub close to the station. Pub quiz on a Wednesday, great food and a great atmosphere all year round. Large beer garden at front, cosy pub in the middle and dinning room at rear. Great place to view sports although it does fill up easily.
A. M.
Very nice pub for after work drinks or family get together at the weekend. Good selection of drinks, an extensive menu of quality food and even when busy you can always get a seat.
A. M.
Nice pub, walked length willesden today looking for somewhere to have a quick pint. Was unimpressed with what was on offer in willesden until I came across "The Queensbury" decent pub and decent pint had in the beer garden. in fact so much so that i dragged my brother up same evening for a few more pints. Will return for a sample of the menu which looked good and maybe the jazz night on sundays.

NEW MENU AT QUEENSBURY ROCKS 🎸🤟❤️🥘🥗
R. B.
Favourite place ever! Great food, amazing staff!
A home from home
J. B.
Queensbury has one of the best roast dinners around. The only place they lose points is their seriously lack of selection for beer. All you get on tap are a load of generic beers.
G. S.
Had a few pink Gins in here whilst a Christening party was busy in the back. This would be the Willesden Middle Class choice of venue in opposition to The Rising Sun community function space down the road.
Both clientele are delightful....though drinks and food here a tad West End ambitious.
D. S.
This is a nice pub next to the station, but definitely on the pricey side. There's a good selection of beers/lager but unfortunately it is quite expensive. Despite that, it's a nice atmosphere and there's seating outside in the summer - it's worth a visit.
S. G.
Atmosphere and drinks are good, so are the burgers. Do not get Sunday Lunch. The meat was mainly fat, Yorkshire puddings disgusting, roasted potatoes were harder than rocks!!!
F. E.
A very cozy pub.
Fireplace and deep leather sofaes.
Very nice and rustic restaurant - perfect for groups.
Big big outdoor terrace, even good on a rainy day.
S. S.
A nice pub, pretty sure it is the best one in the area, although that would be a disservice to this place as all of the areas around are kinda ropey. Haven't tried the food, but good beers and nice customers
S. K.
Cozy atmosphere, great staff, great service
C. W.
Good open space to hang out!
f. m.
Roasted pork and beef wasnt that great. Beef arrived cold. Pork full of bones. Nachos were good. Nice atmosphere, good beers.
S. N.
I have been here for brunch with a friend. Very goo portion at a good price. Very relaxing environment and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.
M. H. L.
Wonderful experience and beautiful terrace friendly staff I will recommend and I will be back as soon as possible
K. M.
Lovely bar staff...nice atmosphere
M. C.
Great local pub/restaurant with lovely outdoor seating area and comfy sofas and open fire for colder days. Great food too!
C. K.
A lovely place for a drink both inside and outside, staff are always friendly and a great ambiance all round
g. c.
Lovely staff and good food + drink. The backgarsen area is really nice!
N.
Quiz night on Wednesday. It can get a bit hot and stuffy on warm days. Adding a few fans would improve much the temperature inside. Nice outside area at the front.
B. V.
The best pub In Willesden green , close to the station and really nice. But it may be closed to build further block of flats. I hope we don't lose this one as well.
N. M.
Excellent food, drinks and service! Without a doubt the best pub in Willesden green, highly recommend!
A.
Good service. Comfy sofa. Lacks a bit more character.
T. P.
Best pub in the area. Semi covered front patio - a well thought-out food menu, with something for everyone.
C. S.
Quite a decent local pub. Staff are friendly and they have recently started to make more effort with their beer on offer which suits me.
W. J.
It's a great pub to meet friends with warm seeing indoors by a fireplace. I've never tried the food but the bar side is what you want in a pub.
C. D.
It's a great gastro pub, usually not too terribly crowded. Bit far to be my local, but it's one of the few in the area so that's where we usually end up.
S. M.
A nice pub near to Willesden Green station. The patio is lovely in the summer and the staff are friendly. Reasonable prices and the food is pretty good too.
I. R.
Nice place with a good selection of spirits and beers. Staff is friendly and fast. Good food and adequate prices. Recommend.
W. M.

P. B.
Decent local Pub with quick bar wait times. Didn't have any food but it looked good

Good food and atmosphere, with a lovely beer garden, an asset and focal point of the community. However, service can be a bit slow at times,
U.

L. R.
Good food and good selection of beers, but a bit on the expensive side. Atmosphere is nice and there's nothing better in the area.
I. H.
Nice quite place on a Monday afternoon. Friendly staff, nice food (but quite expensive), the drinks are quite cheap. The decor is nice, the place is clean and comfortable.

It was very understated from.across the road but as I approached the pub the outside dining area was a great size and the inside was very inviting and spacious. The food was of a good standard with the waiting time for the food very fast. Staff attentive and polite. I will definitely go there again.

(Translated) True English pub, you can eat very well with variety of traditional English and non-English dishes. The prepared and very kind staff. I advise

Vero pub inglese, si mangia molto bene con varietà di piatti tradizionali inglesi e non. Il personale preparato e molto gentile. Lo consiglio

(Translated) The Queensbury has the luck / bad luck to be the only decent pub in the area around Willesden Green Station. In a sense, without competitors, it is easy to win, but on the other hand it is also easy to attract easy criticism.
What it has to offer, however, offers it sufficiently well. It is true that the restaurant space is too large compared to the pub and by making better use of the space it would gain much on the aspect of socialization. But on the other hand the offer of beers and classic burgers is not bad and the choice rather original and not too expensive (well maybe a little to be zone 3, but not so much for London).
In addition, the space offers themed evenings: jazz on Sundays and quiz nights. And of course the classic sunday roast. For those who live around here, it is a blessing that there is. Only for this reason the fourth star. :)

(Translated) The place is very nice, the music is good and the staff very attentive. The beer had no gas and the burgers were uninteresting, nothing to highlight in the gastronomic part.

El lugar es muy lindo, la música es buena y el personal muy atento. La cerveza no tenía gas y las hamburguesas poco interesantes, nada para destacar en la parte gastronómica.
