Good pub with outdoor space, great variety of beers

Loads of room here and very comfy seating in the form of sofas and armchairs. Ideal for a Saturday lunchtime pint and chillax. The only fault was that the soundtrack was harsh FM radio. Not what you want the morning after the night before. Some nice chilled ambient tracks and I would've happily spent the afternoon there.

A good pub to visit, very relaxed with a good selection of drinks. There are several different areas so it feels quite private.

I had great time there and ate the veggie lasagna, I enjoyed them, at first the waitress want that welcoming but the lady i was with who ordered her drinks did sound a little rude as she's just starting learning English. Waitress warned up after that. The menu board could be improved as it's nearly impossible to read it. I still wonder what was written in the top lines.

Discovered The UJ about 20 years ago when I started to work just around the corner. It became the team go to place when we had something to celebrate and at times commiserate. The staff are friendly and the landlord/licencee is always accomodating and has been known to rustle up bar snacks himself when the kitchen staff are unavailable. Food is good Drinks are fairly priced The welcome is always warm and friendly. Although I no longer work in the area if I am in the area I will always pop in to say Hi! and I'm greeted like a long lost relative.

The guys behind the counter were great and they have fruit cider on tap! There are a few screens showing sports but I wasn't interested in that when I popped in so not much to add. Great outside area but quiet on the weekend (obviously). Will try to check it out on a weekday once to see how it feels when it's busy.

One of my go to pubs in London. I love this place, bit tatty but that adds to the charm. It's in Union Street which is bit off the beaten track but ideal for drink on way back to London Bridge or to catch some footie. Big screen at the back and they put it on if you ask. Staff are friendly, drinks good price, and the back room is surrounded by quirky paintings by London artists. Not tried food yet but still love the place 👍👍👍

This rating is purely for the burger I had at lunch today. Absolute quality! Staff are decent. Beer selection is pretty average, decor is a fair bit below average, facilities (WC) below average. Therefore a little bit pricey for the venue but the burger was worth every penny. Will return.

We live around the corner and bf loves to come for a beer and fish and chips! The bartender with a bit of an afro hairdo who is often behind the bar is so so kind and polite and treats us with warm service every time. Bf is a bit of an introvert so the louder, crowded places aren’t his favourite spots to hang when he’s by himself - loves to come here for a beer and light meal here and loves the chill atmosphere and kind bartender! Can’t thank him enough :)

You would have thought that on a Thursday lunchtime in a quiet pub your food would take less than 40 mins. There's only about ten people in here and the staff managed to mess up the orders presenting me with the wrong order. Beers OK Food is good if a tad expensive Atmosphere is great and relaxing I would love to use this place to entertain but sadly I just couldn't trust the staff to deliver

Much improved over the last year or so. The biggest plus about the UJ as it's locally know is the staff. All very friendly and fun to chat to. The food I believe is better with the new chef but they still occasionally run out of lagers or ciders. Plenty of seating though and always a good night out.

A fairly traditional big pub in a convenient location for meeting up with friends, colleagues etc. Rather dark inside but plenty of tables. Their kitchen was often closed and I'm not sure if they continue to serve food now.

I've always quite liked this pub. It used to be on its own, with nothing much else around, but is now surrounded by restaurants and has got a lot busier. It hasn't changed a lot, but they now have art on the walls and it's become friendlier.

Went there to watch the football game. We ordered the veggie sausage and mash and the veggie burger (which was not on the menu). The veggie burger really needed the tomato sauce and mayo that was served separately! Although generally good, we saw other ppl served with curly fries while we got normal fat chips. When we went to order this they said kitchen was closed - it wasn’t even 9pm! Blurghhhhh!

Good local pub. Friendly staff but slow when busy. Getting a bit tatty and furniture is very tired and a bit smelly... And if you need the loo... Just follow your nose.... It can be eye watering in the gents....

Located in the middle of Southwark, and looking like an island of what was a working class quarter, now surrounded by hight-rising new skyscrapers (the City invading Southwark), this pub is what I have in mind for a pub. It's called The Union Jack, and it was a quiet and pleasant place to have some beers while commenting the events of the day...
