M. B.We had a couple of drinks and a meal here and it was fantastic. First time I've been back at the Vintry for over a year and what surprised me was all the tables and chairs outside in front of the church (such a good idea), which made the visit that more enjoyable. Better still all tables have numbers and it was self service. The self service was via a QR code. The website was easy to use and very user friendly. This made ordering the drinks and meal very easy. Fantastic service, great food and drink. Well done! This is how all pubs should be.
M. J.Nice pub, spacious. Staff were nice and helpful. We got chips and platters which were nice. Some people had trouble finding it but once you know it's easy. We'll definitely go back again.

T. w.Really nice bar, lots of space and seating the food we had was really good too. My only complaint is it was very loud but this was mainly due to the noise travelling in the bar. Would be great if they put some sound dampening in there too really make it ideal. The staff were also very attentive and polite.

The service was very good and we were given a speaker to play our music via Bluetooth after dinner! Such a fun thing to do. Would be great if the wine list had cheaper options.
A. C.An amazing wedding reception venue!
We recently held our wedding reception at The Vintry and had a fantastic experience. We had c.120 people for a 3 course sit down meal and an additional 50 or so guests for dancing in the evening. Even with staff turnover during the planning process the events team, particularly Layla, managed to maintain consistency and deliver a great service.
They were helpful at all stages, answering the millions of questions we had in the months leading up, letting us drop off decorations in the week leading up to the wedding and were even willing to hold off putting up their Christmas decorations until after our wedding (at the end of November) which other local venues were not flexible on. The venue itself has a number of different areas which can be used for a kids room/photobooth/evening food/cloakroom and this space and flexibility is hard to find in a relaxed pub venue.
On the day itself the team did an incredible job setting up the venue with the decorations we provided and clearly dedicated a lot of time and effort to ensure it looked perfect, adding some lovely creative touches of their own. We were really blown away when we walked in. All of our guests commented on the quality of the food that was served and we were really impressed with the consistency and delivery given the number of guests we had. The staff on the day were all incredibly friendly and had huge smiles on their faces from when we arrived in the afternoon until we left in the early hours - this made for a really nice environment for us and our guests. It was clear Layla and the team cared about making the day special for us.
We thoroughly recommend The Vintry for anyone looking for a London pub reception - or any event! A huge thank you to all of the team - we will remember it forever!

J. W.Fuller' s pub in the city and so very popular after work. Decent if not extensive range of beer/wine/spirits and the ale has been well kept on my visits. Nice craft bottles and cans too. Always seem to have really cheerful, friendly staff on too.
Interior is split into different areas off the main bar with some hire-able. Added bonus of small square for outside drinking at warmer times. Decent prices for location too.
L. D.It's a nice bar with a nice beer outdoor Square area, the beers are generally good but not as good a selection as you may get in other areas. I consider this bar the kind you'd go to when you're in between bars, as a stop gap. Usually full of suited sorts, which makes the atmosphere generally lacking in my opinion.

They've recently started serving people outside - putting orders through on the iPad and then staff comes bring you your drinks as you're standing outside. Which means everyone gets to group in the sun and not take turns going inside for rounds!
I've not yet seen any other pubs or bars do that, so kudos to The Vintry.
But most importantly, an immense thank you to Lily, who approached our group a few times on Friday and served us all evening - kept an eye on our drinks as they were empty, was always friendly and kind and available. :)
This has been, by far, the best service and treatment we've received in all local bars.

S. M.The food here is really impressive for a pub...it's basically the equivalent of a Michelin chef but and normal prices. It's had a complete renovation and changed its menu in the past 8 months so well worth a look for dinner on a week night. They also do weddings on weekends, and me and my wife and our guests were very very happy with the wedding reception we had there in May. Great staff, great food and great decor and vibe.

Vintry staff kept up-selling and offering food to guests but without the organisers permission (he had been given a card he could hand to people to get drinks) and the Vintry staff blew the budget and managed to get an extra +50% out of the poor guy. Good business model for one night but all the other work colleagues have agreed to avoid having their leaving do there for underhand tactics so Epic Fail when you stop to see the bigger picture. Other than that, it's quite a nice venue.

Then a deceptively generous ham hock salad with perfectly poached egg. Don't get me started on the fantastic wine selection, which includes VERY special wines you can actually try by the glass.
