Amazing to be back at The Yellow House after far too long. The best welcome and service has not changed. Combine that with excellent food and you have the perfect combination for a non rushed evening. The mushroom and truffle sauce was something new that really hit the right spot. Only downside being no room for dessert. Looking forward to getting back into a more regular routine. Thanks to all the great staff as always.

The Yellow House makes the most amazing pizzas ever. It sets the bar so high that no other pizza compares to theirs. The king prawn and chorizo pizza has been our absolute favourite pizza for many years now. They are so delicious that we've stopped eating pizzas in most other places. We've tried a few of the other dishes e.g. fillet steak and creamy pasta with ham and they've been well cooked and extremely delicious, too. The service is always impeccable and delightful. On our last visit, it was my second birthday since Covid started, not being able to celebrate with my wider family, they made a beautiful and tasty surprise. Thank you for being so wonderful. Highly recommend checking this gem of a restaurant out.

A lovely local restaurant that I’ve visited many times over the years. I hope this second lockdown doesn't affect them too much as I’ve never had a bad experience there. As always the service was friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food and wine were great. Definitely worth a visit!

We travel from Notting Hill for the best pizza in London! Have been craving their pizza so much that we had to get three during our latest visit 😂. One of the most interesting (and our favorite) is the tiger prawn pizza - walk on the wild side and try it, it’s amazing! The staff is incredibly accommodating and Jamie + kitchen staff is some of the hardest working people you will come across and we always watch them in amazement (as it’s an open kitchen). Recommend a few pints in the garden before dinner.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch here - we forgot to tip our server Emily who was awesome! Next time we come in we'll leave extra tip, she was lovely. Quite simply the best restaurant in South London. Right outside Surrey Quays station, not only is the food great, it's very easy to get to from almost anywhere. We have been back many times for impromptu meals when there's nothing in the fridge to more special occasions. Each visit we have been treated to friendly personalised service and the best home cooked dishes. Head Chef will always tempt you with his home-made desserts if you have room (leave room!!), and you'll leave with a big dent in your wallet. Support Yellow House, I wish there were more like this!

Absolutely delicious food – from hand-crafted freshly-prepared pizza («Four Seasons» is my favourite) to perfectly cooked lamb. Plus, an excellent selection of wines (I highly recommend «Mâcon-Villages Domaine Chêne» white). Not to mention fresh bread and desserts! My family and friends have been eating out and ordering with The Yellow House for quite a few years now and always happy with the quality of ingredients (great to see chef sourcing fresh local produce from the nearby market) and service (their team is very friendly, enthusiastic and honest). I generally reserve 5 stars for exceptional places, but this is exceptional for the area which does not not have many decent eateries. Staff is friendly and fast, food is good (best pizza I had in a non Italian restaurant) and you have many options. They also have a good wine list.

Among the nicest gastro-pubs in the southbank area. And a consistent outperformer over the years when it comes to taste and freshness. Very good starters, great meat options, pizzas and the handful of dessert options are amazing and made fresh on the day. The chef is great and the staff very friendly and attentive. The menu used to be limited but it has improved a lot to the point that is good. On the con side, at times the pub can get busy as it isn't that big.

This is the pub that everyone heads to after work (normally on Thursdays!). From the outside, it doesn't look particularly great, but once inside the decor is very different to what I expect of a normal pub! There are sofas and cube chairs, as well as a fireplace, and a more enclosed area which is great for groups. Price wise, drinks are well priced and the food (I'm talking more about the pizzas here) is really good.

Wandered down that way because the pub we had planned on had closed their kitchen, and I am certainly glad we did. I had the roasted lamb with potatoes and carrots, and it was by far the best food I have had so far in London, and probably the best food I have had anywhere in quite a long time. Unfortunately they didn't have any ales on tap, but after talking beers with the waiter for a bit, he recommended a Staropramen Lager. It was excellent. The Lamb was also delicious. It was very juicy and tender, and complemented very well by the onion and garlic of the au jus. The roasted potatoes might very well have been the best potatoes I have ever had, and the carrots were excellent as well. I went late on a Sunday evening just before they closed, and while there weren't many people there it didn't feel empty. They also had a really nice looking patio that would have had a great view had it not been raining. Despite it being late in the evening, our waiter (James A.) was very kind and patient, recommended a great beer, and pointed me towards a few more to try. He even ran about a block after me when I accidentally left my card! I highly recommend that anyone in the area come here, and James, if you ever read this, thanks a tonne!

First things first: Yellow House Bar & Kitchen is not to be confused with Yellow House on Plough Way. Because that’s now an estate agents, and definitely not a good place for drinks. But the Yellow House opposite Surrey Quays is a nice enough place if you’re local. I only stayed in the bar area, and even though it was practically empty, it didn’t feel dead. Just a nice, quiet place to catch-up on a weekday evening. So nothing really worth going out of your way for, but definitely drop by if you’re in the area. And don’t confuse it with the estate agents.
