Reviews of The Fields at Aylesford

Going to start with the positives
They have done a great job on the refurb. The staff were very friendly and you could tell they are trying hard to impress since reopening. I also enjoyed my cinnamon swirl bread and butter pudding.
Now for the negative
Upon sitting down we were reeled off a long list of food that wasn't available only to find out the options we did pick were also not available. The burger as you can see was the size of a McDonald's happy meal burger and the linguine wasn't that much bigger. We repeatedly had to ask for our water as it seemed to be forgotten on numerous occasions. Last but no least my Irish coffee was served with nothing Irish about it. Like the water it seemed to be forgotten.
To conclude I wouldn't recommend to others as there are better options about.

We had a nice impromptu lunch this afternoon. Sat outside so the kids could play in the small play area. The food was reasonably priced, the staff all friendly and I really liked the cute little touches at the bar (see pics). The food wasn't anything special but it was nice enough and the basic sort of pub lunch we were after! The anti pasti platter we shared for starters was very nice. We had club sandwiches for mains, which were on huge slaps of bread but the chicken breast was a little overcooked! We'd go back if we were in the area and needed a quick bite and beer whilst the kids ran around!

Had a great evening at The Fields. We were served by Kayleigh and she made sure we had the best time possible. She was friendly, bubbly and went along with our little jokes. Thank you for a lovely evening Kayleigh! ❤️

WOW WOW WOW! what an amazing place. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and they have thought so hard about all the little things you may want:
Chargers you can borrow
Board games for the kids (and adults: see picture 😂)
Food bowls, treats and blankets for your furry friends (allowed indoors on the hard floor area)
Blankets for you to borrow when you go outside
Reading glasses to help you see the menu.
An open fire (safety covered)
A really thoughtful place with helpful, attentive staff, a lovely outdoor play area. Just everything you could want!
My first visit blew me away so can’t wait to come back.
Great job guys!

Bar staff was amazing very friendly happy to help really good service. Waiters and waitresses served really well very helpful and friendly The only problem was we ordered lamb shanks they were still cold and a waiter bought out 2 steaks and didn’t know wot was med/rare or well done. The medium rare was a bit over cooked But they compensated with a round of drinks They bought out the birthday cake we bought with us overall we had a lovely time

I work as a truck driver around the corner from your restaurant/pub and drive past every day at least two times a day. It always looks clean, smart and inviting so I decided to take my wife there for dinner yesterday evening. Both very impressed and will definitely be back. Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful and the food was great. Keep up the good work. Will be back soon.

Came for my husbands 71st birthday. Staff made you very welcome. Table was lovely. Food choice was good catering for all ages. Waiting staff very attentive, drinks and orders taken promptly, even though they were busy. Meal came quickly and on hot plates, which is always a bonus. All in All a good experience and one that will be repeated often. Well done Fields at Aylesford. Thank you.

Great place to stop for a meal on the way home from Dover to Dorset. A Marston’s Inn with good beer and nice food. Staff are friendly and helpful.

First time visiting, what an amazingly beautiful venue, such nice decoration, such lovely finishing touches with all the small added extras, really is a lovely restaurant visually, all very clean and well maintained. Staff extremely polite, well mannered, excellent service from all that dealt with us. The food great selection, and was one of the nicest meals I've had in a good while, starter, main and dessert all tasted fantastic and presented well on the plate too. All around a really lovely evening on all aspects. Will certainly return.

First time for us. Booked a table for six, arrived to find very few spaces in the car park but once greeted at the door was quickly escorted to our table and a waiter came to take our orders. Everything except one pudding was available but a second choice solved the issue. All the meals were excellent and arrived promptly. A good experience in all and will definitely come back again.
